Pistol
Consider upgrading your pistol because once fully upgraded it has armour piercing rounds that you can use to take down some mid-sized foes. Also, whenever you are downed or carrying an objective, you are forced to use either your pistol or an SMG if you are carrying one so having an upgraded pistol helps.
Stratagems
There are three types of stratagems. Blue stratagems call down support items that you either have to pick up or ride in. Red stratagems are attack stratagems and will call down some sort of fire on their location, and green stratagems have a variety of uses, including distraction beacons and turrets.
Transport
When you survey missions keep an eye out for one that involves unlocking a vehicle. Vehicles hold four players at once and will make getting around easier.
Samples
You need to always be on the lookout for samples on the map as they lead to Research points which is the only way that you can upgrade your weapons/stratagems.
Friendly Fire
Remember that friendly fire is always on. You must always line up your shots otherwise you run the risk of accidentally shooting your allies.
