Defeating Metal Slimes

Metal Slimes is a rare monster that although weak will provide lots of Exp. Metal Slimes are fast, have high defense and evasion, immune to spells and often flee. To defeat them you must use Metal Slash and Metalicker skills or Liquid Metal Weapons which will increase your damage output against them. The damage increase will only be by one and the Metal Slime will likely run away before you can do enough damage so you will need to perform critical hits which will bypass a Metal Slime's defense and kill them in one hit.

Perfectionist Pearls

When you have crafted equipment you will earn an item called Perfectionist Pearls which you can then use to enhance the piece of gear of your choosing. In the early stages of the game you will not have to use too many Perfectionist Pearls but the required amount will steadily increase as the rarity of the equipment you want to ehhance rises. In the later stages of the game you will be able to buy them in bulk to offset those rising costs.

Fun-Size Forge

Save money by using the Fun-Size Forge which can by found at any campsite in order to forge new equipment using the recipes found in towns and treasure chests. You will still need to procure the materials yourself but the process is entirely free.

Spending Money

Resist the temptation of spending all your money on armour and weapons as soon as you get it. Apart from costing a lot of money you need to budget for other things which will require you to pay for them. This includes refunding skill points, curing curses, resurrecting dead allies, and resting in an inn.

Use your Map

Whether you are lost and don't know what to do next or just want to know what items can be found in a certain area you can rely on your map to give you the answer. The map you are given is very informative and helpful and even marks the NPCs that can help you move forward with a pink dot and those that provide a quest with a purple dot.
