The objective of Apex Legends is to play as one of a number of Legends with special abilities that work in synergy with other players and compete in teams of three in a last-team-standing competition on a gradually shrinking, sci-fi-infused map.
Apex Legends Cheats and Tips
Below is a collection of cheats and tips that will help you to survive in the game. These include the best locations to jump and how to travel faster.
- Stick Together
Make sure when you dive you stay close to your squad by sticking with the Jumpmaster if you are not in control. There is nothing worse than starting the game separated from your squad.
- Play as a Team
It is important that your squad sticks together and plays as a team. Players who go off on their own will soon realize they are easy pickings for teams that are actively working together. Check out our How to Invite Friends page to learn how to play with your friends.
- Exchange Intel
Take advantage of the Smart Comms to communicate with your teammates and exchange intel. This includes calling out the location of extra weapons and armor, tagging nearby enemies, and marking ideal drop locations.
- Jump Towers
Use Jump Towers whenever they are available. These large towers with balloons up top are a great way to get around the map as you can zipline to the top and launch off to reactivate your rocket.
- New Hot Zones
Make sure every time the circle changes size you remember to check your map for new Hot Zones, as a new one will always become available. Check out our Where are the Best Landing Spots to find out where the best landing spots are.
- Unlock Cosmetic Items
Whenever you level up you will earn 1 Apex Pack and one of the rewards inside will be Crafting Metals which you can use to unlock new cosmetic items such as Legend skins, Banners, Quips, Trackers, and Finishers.
- Switch Armor
Swapping out armor for another set is better than trying to heal during a firefight using the shield batteries.
- Apex Pack Robots
These robots look identical to the loot crates you open in the menu. They are usually found in the corner of buildings and shooting them will reward you with gear.
