Investing XP into Attributes

In Absolver you will be able to invest the XP points you earn when you defeat opponents into six different attributes. These are listed below along with the benefit you receive.

Strength

Increases damage of strength-based attacks.

Mobility

Increases movement, mobility-based attack damage, and stamina recovery.

Dexterity

Raises damage output of dexterity-based attacks.

Endurance

Increases your maximum stamina.

Vitality

Increases your maximum health.

Will

Helps you recharge Shards faster.

Learn the Stances

It is essential that you are familiar with the different stances in Absolver as they allow you to attack and defend from different angles. The game is basically like a rock, paper scissors battle where the objective is to study your opponents stance and quickly determine what fighting style they are in and what attack you can perform that will penetrate their defenses.

A good move straight after doing an attack is to press the left trigger on your controller, so you pull a 'feint' move which baits your opponent to attack you, leaving them open for a counterattack.

Experiment with Equipment

It is always worthwhile experimenting with any new equipment you acquire in Absolver as there is always the possibility that you may like it better than your current gear. You can do this as well as practice and customize your combo moves by going to the Combat Deck. There is also an option here that enables you to select the buttons on your controller you are most likely to go to during battle.

Don't Waste Stamina

Stamina in Absolver is crucial because without it you lose the ability to dodge and block attacks. It is therefore recommended that you always keep a bit of stamina in reserve for emergencies. It is important that you don't button mash as this will quickly lead to you using up all your stamina and make you easy prey for an experienced player who will simply wait for your stamina to weaken before attacking you with their own combination of attacks.

Choosing a Combat Style

When you begin Absolver you are given the choice of three different combat styles, each of which has their own skillset and defensive tool - Kahlt absorbs hits, Forsaken can parry blows, and Windful can avoid attacks by sidestepping. Each of the combat styles can gain moves and skill sets from the other classes later in the game but to begin with you need to focus on mastering one.

If you are new to the game it is recommended that you choose Kahlt as this combat style offers the most straightforward options for a beginner to get the feel of the game. Once you are familiar with all three combat styles you should stick to the one that best suits your play style.

Infinite Heath

If you run off the edge 10 times in the same spot you won't die the 11th time or you can run around and well be invincible as long as you want.
