9 Monkeys of Shaolin PlayStation 4 Cheats and Tips

When you invite a friend to play co-op with you they will get as many upgrade points as you, the difference being they will be able to spend their upgrades points however they want. The game progress however will all be retained on your save file and you will have to deal with your friends saved progress.

In 9 Monkeys of Shaolin you can begin local co-op either at the very beginning of the game or by talking to Daoshan, the monk in blue attire who can be found in the hub area. Once you have found Daoshan and start talking to him you will be able to select the 'Start Network Game' option and then select a friend to send an invite to. Your friend who you sent the invite to then has to start their game of 9 Monkeys of Shaolin and accept the invite. Once the invite has been accepted you and your friend will find yourselves in the hub ready to play. To play co-op on the Nintendo Switch there is a slightly different procedure as the Switch does not have an invite system. In order for your friend to join your session they will need to manually select the 'Join Friend' option at the time of porting. The 'Join Friend' option can be found at the main menu.

In order to go through the opened door of the temple after the first level you must first introduce yourself to everyone in the temple. This requires you to go up to every NPC that has an '!' sign above their head. Once you have done this you are free to select the next mission.

If you are unsure whether you have a secret or not for a stage you can quickly check the chapter selection NPC/Table to find out. If the stage has a Gold Statue at the right side of it's name it is there to indicate you have found it's secret. There is no need to complete the stage if you are just there for it's secret, you can can leave the stage without completing it and the secret will still count.
