People should google that s***. ----------------------------- Characters [carac] ----------------------------- In this section, all of the teachers are named and their backrounds are explained. {Master Tang} Probably the most important teacher in RDKF:FoP, Tang is described as a loner. He is a great figure in the kung fu community, but people avoid him because he smells like fish (hmmm, maybe it's because he has fish bulging out of his pockets? Probably not). He says he keeps them with him because he gains chi from them (I say it's bull, but you believe what you want). {Luan} Not much is said about Luan, only that she has a gang. That's all. Really. There is no surprise here. Move on. {Hip} Hip is my favorite character. He owns the Whale Restaurant, one of the multiplayer maps. Also, he is very rough. The game says when he plays cards, people lose fingers. Wow. {Sung Ling} This traditional Chinese chicka is an acrobatic master. She hangs out in the Nin Bin, the ninja hideout. {Bedlam} To put it simply, Bedlam is f***ing nuts. He is the master of the Lion Temple, which is a great honor. I think. He is also described as crazy. In multiplayer, go against him in Deathmatch with his difficulty cranked to the highest level. Then, repeat the first sentence of this paragraph. Then you will understand. {Master Sin} He was an ordinary ninja, until Master Tang pushed him off a mountain (that... punk!). He lost an eye and his watch from that fall. He is tough as nails. Also, he will periodically ask for the time. ----------------------------- Challenges [chlng] ----------------------------- 1. Tutorial 2. Survival 3. Sharpshooter 4. Capture the Fish 5. Acrobatics 6. King of the Hill 7. Way of the Firefly 8. Cleaning Up 9. Kung Fu Juggling {TUTORIAL} !Objective!-learn how to play Fists of Plastic This challenge is run by Master Tang. The tutorial will tutor you on the rails of the game. Duh. This challenge is pretty straight-forward. The first thing to do is to break the targets. Use the Square and Triangle buttons to punch and kick the targets. Next, throw the pots at the master-dude-guy-thing. Pick them up with the R1 button and throw with the Square button. After that, destroy the targets with the staff. Again, pick it up with the R1 button. Then, swing the Right stick to swing the staff. Next up is to throw Tang around twice. Pick him up with the R1 button, and throw him with the Square button. Now the Chi element will come into play. By beating Tang into a pulp (haha, corny joke, haha, ahem), you will gain Chi. Chi is energy that is used to create devastating attacks. Next, grab the statue and noodles with the R1 button to gain Chi and heal yourself, respectively. The best Chi move, in my opinion, is to Meditate. Meditating replaces Chi with health. In other words, you can heal yourself by depleting Chi. Turn the controller in your hand upside down to Meditate. Next up is the Lightning Ball. This attack can be charged to do more damage and widen the blast radius. To conjure up a Lightning Ball, shake the controller up and down. Once charged to your satisfaction, throw it with the Square button. This is a move you should be using pretty often: the Firefly. This will send you flying in the direction you punch or kick, making you a rag-doll projectile. Swing the controller in the direction you are attacking to use the Firefly. The last Chi move is the Slam, which you will be using pretty often in King of the Hill. This attack will make your character slam the ground, making a Chi shockwave. To Slam, hold the O button, then bring your controller up, and bring it down fast. Finally, you will learn how to platform swing. To hang on to a platform, press (or hold if you are falling to it from above) the R1 button when near it. To swing, press the Triangle button in the direction you want to swing. Press the X button to jump off. Congrats! You now know how to play Rag-Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic. (whoop-de-freakin'-do) {SURVIVAL} !Objective!-defeat as many opponents as possible before time runs out This challenge is run by Luan. This is your first real "challenge", so it's very easy. Simply just beat up the henchmen that come at you. You get points for every guy defeated. The challenge ends when time runs out, or you die. If this is your first time doing this challenge, be ready. This is practice for Deathmatch. Occasionally, Luan herself will show up to fight you. She is a bit tougher than her henchmen, but not too much of a bother. The henchmen will get stronger and harder as time becomes less. Be careful. This is actually a fairly difficult challenge, so don't worry if you fail. Just try, try again. {SHARPSHOOTER} !Objective!-destroy the targets with the shuriken This challenge is run by Master Tang. This is the second easiest challenge. All you have to do is throw shuriken at the targets. Aim with the Right stick and throw with the Square button. The targets will start to crash into and destroy each other. You have to hit them before they crash, or they're gone for good. Don't think this challenge is hard. Just concentrate and it should be a breeze. {CAPTURE THE FISH} !Objective!-score as many goals as possible within the time limit This challenge is run by Hip. This is a challenge made to prep you for the multiplayer mode Capture the Fish. It's pretty much a game of Capture the Fish against Hip and his henchmen. This challenge is not very hard, but it isn't very easy either. Hip will summon henchmen occasionally to make your life hell. See the Multiplayer section of the guide for more info on Capture the Fish. {ACROBATICS} !Objective!-swing from platform to platform to gain as may points as possible before time runs out This challenge is run by Sung Ling. This is the easiest challenge in the game (tutorial doesn't count because it's too easy). Just swing from platform to platform. To get some extra boost in your swing, press the Triangle button to swing kick. If you touch the ground, the combo meter goes back to zero. Stay in the air! This is an easy challenge as long as you pay attention. My first time, I didn't pay attention. Now, I have to live down that I didn't even get a bronze ranking. Don't be like me; PAY ATTENTION!!! {KKING OF THE HILL} !Objective!-obtain as many points as possible within the time limit This challenge is run by Mr. Crazy McCuckoo, I mean Bedlam. This challenge is really prep for the multiplayer mode King of the Hill. Bedlam will teach you the basics, and then he'll let you off your leash. This is my favorite mode, since it is the only mode where Free Pose comes in handy. When you're on the "hill", using Free Pose will net you more points. The henchmen are fairly easy, but when Bedlam comes in, use a level 5 Lightning Ball on him. It will save you lots of trouble, trust me. Use the Slam move often. It will knock people off the "hill", giving you more time to Free Pose for points. This is one of the more difficult challenges, so stay on your toes. {Way of the Firefly} !Objective!-destroy as many targets as possible before time runs out This challenge is run by Master Tang. Way of the Firefly is my favorite challenge. In this challenge, you must smash targets with the Firefly... while STAYING AIRBORNE! This challenge is loads of fun, but tough as s***. My arms got tired after playing this mode, like, 50 times. Constantly swinging the controller is recommended. This is a difficult, yet fun, challenge. Just remember: if you get close to the ground, Firefly upwards. {CLEANING UP} !Objective!-defeat as many opponents as possible before time runs out This challenge is run by Master Sin. This is just a more difficult version of Survival. The main difference is that you can pick people up and throw them off the cliff for an instant kill! Yeeeeeeeeee-hawwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!! ..................... Sorry. The enemies are also slightly tougher than the ones in Survival. The one tip I can give is if you're falling off the cliff, you can save yourself by using the Firefly to propel yourself upwards. It just might save your ass! Just keep your eyes open and fight like a tiger. Just don't eat anybody. I don't want to be called by the NYPD and arrested because some rag-doll that read my guide ate his opponent. {KUNG FU JUGGLING} !Objective!-score as many hits as possible in the air before time expires This challenge is run by Master Tang (seriously, I've had enough of this guy). Easily the most difficult challenge in the game, this one makes you throw a frog in the air a beat it up, in the air. That's right. Only hits in the air count, so you have to keep that frog airborne as long as possible. Using the Firefly won't net you any points, but it will keep the frog in the air. Use it in emergencies. The air kicks will send the frog upwards, so use them often. The Lightning Ball also works. This is very, very difficult, so failing is not a big deal. Just keep trying, and you'll get it. CONGRADULATIONS! You have beaten Rag-Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic! If you got at least Bronze on all of the challenges, you get the Rag-doll Apprentice trophy. If you got at least Silver on all the challenges, you get the Rag-doll Expert trophy. If you got at least Gold on all of them, you get the Rag-doll Master trophy. If you beat all of the challenges with a Fists of Plastic rating, instead of a trophy, you will get a Mark Healy Bald Head for your fighter. If you obtain every reward, you will get the ultimate prize: a Sackboy costume (from LittleBIGPlanet). Huzzah, and whatnot. ----------------------------- Multiplayer [mltip] ----------------------------- RDKF:FoP has a multiplayer aspect to it. This consists of Deathmatch, Capture the Fish, Dodgeball, and King of the Hill. {DEATHMATCH} The goal of Deathmatch is to kill your opponent as many times as possible before time expires. This is the regular mode included in almost every multiplayer video game. This mode tests mostly fight ability, so be ready for a rumble. NOTE: You can turn Deathmatch into Team Deathmatch by picking which players to wear a blue or red hat. {CAPTURE THE FISH} The goal of Capture the Fish is to throw a fish into a basket for points. It's pretty much basketball with some nutty rag-doll physics thrown in. It's very fun. {DODGEBALL} The goal of Dodgeball is to throw the ball given at the other team. This mode tests aim, so have a steady hand when playing. {KING OF THE HILL} The goal of King of the Hill is to stay on the glowing platform (labeled the "hill") as long as possible to gain points. Free Posing can help you accumulate points faster. This mode tests... well... everything. Be ready to fight like Mike Tyson. Maps are coming soon, so stay put:). ----------------------------- Trophies [prize] ----------------------------- {BRONZE} Rag-doll Apprentice ~beat all challenges with at least a Bronze rating on each of them Learning the Ropes ~play the four multiplayer challenges at least once Mover and Shaker ~use every Sixaxis-based move (including the Somersault) Annoying Acrobat ~swing from one place to another, damaging someone in-between Let Me Down! ~hit someone who is airborne with three Lightning Balls in a row while they are still in the air Offside! ~in Capture the Fish, throw the fish to a teammate, who then scores within one second Room Clearer ~damage three opponents with one attack {SILVER} Rag-doll Expert ~beat all challenges with at least a Silver rating on each of them Combo Meal ~hit an airborne opponent with three special attacks before they land Fishy Billiards ~in Capture the Fish, shoot the fish into the basket by hitting it with a Lightning Ball Bully ~defeat an opponent that is grabbed by a teammate {GOLD} Rag-doll Master ~beat all challenges with at least a Gold rating on each of them ----------------------------- General Tips for the Hopeless Beginner [hints] ----------------------------- This will be a tradition in all of my guides. This section is dedicated to tips given by my viewers. You can submit a tip or cheat to me about this game, and I might put it here (with credit given to you, of course). Just send a tip or cheat to my e-mail, [email protected], with the name you wish to be called if I put it up. Hopefully, this section will grow, so go send me tips! ----------------------------- Frequently Asked Questions (?????) ----------------------------- Q: Should I buy this game? A: Depends. If you like side-scrolling beat-em-ups, then be my guest. If not, then skip it if you want. I can't make you buy it or not. Q: I found something wrong with your guide. What should I do? A: If it's a huge, OMG, holy s*** problem, then e-mail me and tell me the problem. If it's a small spelling error, leave it. If it's that small, most people won't be affected by it. Q: Can I put your guide on my site? A: If you ask me first and give me credit, then probably yes. Q: Will you accept my PS3 friend request? A: Probably. I separated from my PS3's head account to make Chillaxative7, so I don't have many friends. So, send me a request... now. Q: Are you a handsome person? A: Yes. Very much so. ----------------------------- Closing [byby!] ----------------------------- Wow. My first guide is finished. I feel... satisfied.
