The FAQ is intended to provide basic information on the PS3 game, Gundam Senki,
to new players. It includes an overview of the games controls, the various
multiplayer modes available, the various mobile suits that can be pilotted,
as well as basic walkthroughs of the single-player missions. This guide is
intended to be used primarily as a point-of-referenceit's not here to hold
your hand as you play the game.

I'm just one guy and I'll try to finish this up as best I can, so please be
patient with me.

Current FAQ Status [SENKI-02]

Version 0.30: Added a lot of the meat to the FAQ. Still missing mission
descriptions and a few stats for a handful of mobile suits/weapons.

General Tips [SENKI-04C]

Keep moving: you're an easy target when you're standing still, so try to
always be moving. Be especially careful when you kneel down to heal, as
you will be incredibly vulnerable to enemy fire.

Don't count on your comrades: the allied AI stinks. If you need something
done, do it yourself.

Customization Tips [SENKI-04D]

------------------< Mobile Suit List [SENKI-06] >------------------------------
                   \___________________________/

Gundam Senki has over seventy mobile suits to choose from, many of which
seem very similar to other mobile suits. This guide is designed to help
players determine how each mobile suit compares to the others, and to
help them decide which mobile suit best fits his or her playing style.

You obtain new mobile suits one of three ways: they are eithe given to you
automatically, you purchase them with the points you earn after each
successful mission, or you evolve them by equipping various parts and weapons
on already-owned mobile suits. It pays to tinker! The stats listed in this
fact are only the basic, default stats. The game allows you to customize your
machine with a variety of equipment and parts, which can allow you to
drastically alter the performance of a mobile suit.

To my knowledge, this is a COMPLETE list of all the mobile suits in the
game. If you find any mobile suits that are not mentioned here, please
let me know so I can correct the omission.

------------------< Mission Guide [SENKI-07] >---------------------------------
                   \________________________/

The mission guide isn't intended solely as a walkthrough--if you know how to
play the game, and can play it well, you don't really need a lot of help. If
you do need a lot of help, this is not the place to look for it. This guide
merely outlines all of the missions in the game, and lists the objectives that
need to be completed to beat each one of them. Also included are tips for both
beating the mission, and beating the mission will attaining an S-Rank.

Your rank in a mission is determined by a number of factors--how long you took
to beat the mission, how many mission objectives you fulfilled, how many
enemies you destroyed, and how much HP you had remaining after clearing each
stage (if applicable) of a mission. If you are unable to score enough points
for an S-Rank by following this Mission Guide, odds are you are taking too long
to beat the mission, taking too much damage, or failing to destroy a sufficient
quantity of enemies. You may want to try maxing out your mobile suit's upgrades
before trying again.

If you come across any data that is incorrect, or know of any data for a
particular mission that is absent from this guide, please email me at the
address listed at the end of the FAQ.

------------------< Frequently Asked Questions [SENKI-10] >--------------------
                   \_____________________________________/

1. Is this game worth importing?

Do you like Gundam games? Do you like playing online? If so, you'll
probably find it worth the cost of importing. But, ideally, you should
watch some gameplay videos and decide for yourself if you think the
game looks fun. Personally, I thought it looked fantastic, so I
bought itand I've never looked back.

2. Is this game ever going to come out in the United States or Europe?

Short answer: No. Long answer: Perhaps. Generally, I wouldn't bet
any money on this game leaving Japan, especially considering the
almost universally-poor reception Gundam games tend to get outside
of their home. However, with the 30th Anniversary of Gundam, Bandai
seems to want to try and sell their Gundam products world-wide. They
will, for example, be releasing the upcoming Gundam Unicorn OVAs in
English. This increases the chances, I think, of Gundam Senki, too,
crossing the ocean. There's also the matter of the PS3 having a rather
limited library. If Gundam Senki is to be brought over, expect to hear
news of it before the end of February, 2010.

3. Will this game work on my American/European Playstation 3?

Playstation 3s in the United States and Canada are actually in the
same region as Japan, so they will be able to play imported Japanese
games with no trouble at all. Europe, on the other hand

4. Is there a translation for the game?

Not at this time, no. Most of the menus are in English and the controls
are fairly standard, so you should be able to play without much trouble.
While it's true you won't be able to understand the story of the game,
The Japanese PSN store does have an OVA based on the game, and it's
entirely possible that this OVA will eventually be (illegally) subbed.

5. Is there any Downloadable Content (DLC)?

Yes, there is a variety DLC available for Gundam Senki at the moment.
At launch, players will be able to download two mobile suits to
additional to add to the game, as well as an OVA-rental covering the
story of game. First-printings of the game will all contain codes
to freely-download the OVA from the Japanese PSN store, and the
special edition bundles (the game packaged with a new slim PS3) will
feature codes to download the first two DLC mobile suits for free.
Three additional DLC mobile suits from the 0083 and Zeta eras have
already been confirmed, though they are not available at launch.

6. How do I buy the DLC?

First, you will need to set-up a Japanese account in order to log-in
to the Japanese PSN Store. Then, you will have to add funds, which
can be rather tricky. You have two options: you can either use a
Japanese credit card, provided you have one, or you will have to
purchase a Japanese PSN money card from an online retailer. Sadly,
The Japanese PSN store will not accept funds, credit-card or PSN-card,
that do not originate in Japan itself.

7. Is this the best Gundam game?

Yes and no. It's certainly the best title available on current
generation consoles, but it still falls short of, say Gundam Battle
Universe on the PSP, or the One Year War, on Playstation 2.

8. When will the next game be released?

I have no idea. Generally, Gundam games are cranked out pretty quickly,
but the current generation of consoles requires a good deal more
development time than the previous generation. It's likely we won't see
another Gundam title for the PS3 for another two years.

9. Why isn't this FAQ finished yet?

Lots of mobile suits. Lots of missions. Lots of stuff to do. I don't
play this game 24/7, so it'll take a while for me to compile all of the
data. I'm also rather busy with school and life, so my time to play
the game and work on the FAQ is rather limited.
