Welcome to my Guide for Demon's Souls, this is my third FAQ for Gamefaqs
the other two being for Assassin's Creed II and Final Fantasy XIII, first off
I repsect you, the reader, for having the guts to even play Demon's Souls.

Demon's Souls is an extremely hard game, unlike many of the games today, unlike
what many people think, it is not a hack n' slash game, but requires strategy,
in Demon's Souls you must learn from your mistakes, take the enemies strenghts
and use them against them, you have to learn where you're at, where to get
the best armour and weapons for your character, all of these features are what
make Demon's Souls a game for Hardcore gamers only.

Once you start to play Demon's Souls as a normal gamer, the hours grinding
and trying to survive as well as having to repeat the same bit of level over
again, you will come out as a hardcore gamer after finishing it, that is
impossible to avoid.

Luckily, so you don't have to take 18x more pain, I have this guide, this
guide will help you get around, kill bosses, get good equipment and ETC
so this will help you get both: A good Demon's Souls Experience and less
deaths, let's hurry it up and start the actual guide now.

To truly be a Demon's Souls master, you'll have to know the Basics of
this game and some of the stuff that will help you, like builds and how
to make a good character, grasping these basics will have you well on your way
to Demon's Souls Mastery.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++Character Creation [cr2.2]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After pressing "New Game" at the main menu and selecting a save slot, you'll
be taken to the character creation menu.

You can choose the following things:

Physical Appearance: You can edit this however it is you want your character
to look.

Sex: You can choose from male or female, there are differences other than
just being male or female, there are certain pieces of armour that can be
equipped that is exclusive to either male or female.

Class: This is one of the most important things, I chose Royalty, but I have
the Info for each of them to make your decision (Please note that my Arcane
Warrior Build is easier to obtain with Royalty Class).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
++++++++++++++++++++++++++Soldier [cr2.2.1]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A low-class soldier that always stands at the frontline of battle-grounds,
This is the standard soldier type with especially high vitality and hard
metal armor.
Besides a straight sword they are equipped with a spear, thus broadening their
battle style

------------
My foreword:
------------
The Soldier Class is not recommended for your first character, because it is
mainly focusing in melee, it will stay alive but not for long and it will die
a lot in 1-1, it has good melee prowess early on, but it's high soul level
is not what you're looking for.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Knight [cr2.2.2]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------
The Game's Foreword:
--------------------
A knight class of a rather advanced area of southern Boletaria.
This is a character that is equipped with hard metal armour and shield and thus
excels in defence, but because they have low luck it will be difficult to
obtain items.

-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
The knight is my second favourite starting class, much like royalty, Knight
starts with relatively low soul level, they have pretty good armour and
weapon, so they can last much of the game using their fluted armor, because
of these properties, you can ease into the Arcane Warrior build pretty easily.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Priest [cr2.2.3]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A soldier of the cloth that believes in the God of this world. This is a tough
character that is equipped with chain mail and shield.
They can heal themselves with miracles, but their lack of dexterity makes them
poor at handling advanced weapons.

-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
You'll need a high dexterity build for the arcane warrior, but also a high
faith, so this a very controversial class, Strength and Endurance are high
and you're going to need it to carry heavy weapons, but their heater shield
isn't too shabby, but you can get one from the confort of the Nexus for 2000
souls, so no advantage there.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Theif [cr2.2.4]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's foreword:
---------------------
They are hired by Royalty and engage in dirty jobs. This character is good at
sneaky tactics such as surprise attacks, ambushing and critical strikes after
parrying. They have very good luck.
--------------
My Foreword:
--------------
You should NEVER choose a theif, their high soul level starts them off on a
more beaten path, their equipment really sucks and your luck won't change a
damn thing once you reach Boletarian Palace 1-4, however it is a nice boost for
the Blueblood Sword, which is one of my main build equips, however by the time
you kill Maiden Aestrea, other classes will have much higher luck.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++Temple Knight [cr2.2.5]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A special knight that protects the temple of God, They are heavily clad
soldiers wearing white armor with the name of the now lost first temple and mow
down enemies with a halberd. They can heal themselves with miracles as well.
-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
Their soul level is nice, making them a good character, their stats are also
high, but they are lacking in magic, it is good to start with them because of
their Heater Shield, their 100% Damage Reduction is a rare thing at the start
of the game.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Wanderer [cr2.2.6]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A lightly equipped soldier that continues an aimless journey, they have
especially high dexterity and are skilled at using a curved sword. They also
have high luck, but because their initial equipment is shabby they are weak to
attacks.
------------
My Foreword:
------------
Wanderers are very fast because of their light equipment, but what they make up
in speed they lose in defence, the Blue Eyes Knight at Boletarian Palace 1-1
will be able to kill you easily.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Barbarian [cr2.2.7]+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A person from a primitive civilization, Out of all the classes, they have the
Highest Soul Level, vitality, endurance and strength, but their initial
equipment is the worst. They have no armor and their only weapon is a Club.
-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
Ok, this class is even worse than thieves, they have no armor and their weapon
is a Club, this may come in useful for making a Meat Cleaver, but you are more
than likely to die in the first level, giving you a hard time, another downside
is that their Soul Level is 9 and once again begins on a Beaten Path.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++Magician [cr2.2.8]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A commoner that has officially learnt spells, They have already learnt two
spells, called "Flame Toss" and "Water Veil". Since their weapon is small and
they lack defence, they don't do too well with hand-to-hand combat.
-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
If you aren't starting as a Knight or Royal, please start with this, the high
soul level is still relatively mouldable and they have good spells and
intelligence, therefore higher damage and more MP.

---------------------
The Game's Foreword:
---------------------
A specialist at outdoor activities. Their speciality is making long range
sniping attacks with a Long Bow, They are also equipped with a Battle Axe
and Leather Armor, so they are well balanced over all.
-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
You'll be using a bow as one of your many alternative weapons in my build and
the good bow they start with is a start, but not good enough, equip this guy
with a Theif's Ring and you'll have yourself a Sniper at the Boletarian Palace
already.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------
The Game's Foreword:
--------------------
A person of royal descent who has officially learned spells. They use the spell
"Soul Arrow". Their Souls Level is the worst and begins at 1, but they are the
only class that begins equipped with a rare ring
-------------
My Foreword:
-------------
There is no easy mode, but Royalty is always the Easy Way out, it's the easy
mode out of the game, their Low Soul Level Means that this is the most
mouldable class, and you can shape it in almost anyway you want!, the Fragrant
Ring is the icing on top of the cake, MP recovery is important for all magic
users, and is not obtained by normal game progress until late in the game.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++Male or Female? [cr2.2.11]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a question that is tossed around in Demon's Souls rather often,
"Should I make my Character Female or Male?" it really depends on what you want
but then again there is certain equipment that can only be worn by a certain
gender, all other armor is Unisex, the most notable piece of armor is the
Silver Bracelet, worn exclusively for Female Characters, this handy little
glove will give you 20% more souls and stacked with the Ring of Avarice you
will be racking up Soul Levels very, very fast.

Note that all weapons can be wielded by all genders.

A list of armor that is worn by Females:

*Dull Gold Helmet
*Binded Hood
*Three-Cornered Hat
*Gold Mask
*Dull Gold Armor
*Old Raggedy Robes
*Rouge's Clothes
*Dull Gold Gauntlets
*Binded Gloves
*Silver Bracelet
*Old Raggedy Gloves
*Rouge's Gloves
*Silver Bracelet
*Dull Gold Leggings
*Old Raggedy Boots
*Binded Boots
*Rouge's Boots

A list of armor that is worn by Males

*Dark Silver Helmet
*Ancient King's Mask
*Venerable Sages Hood
*Dark Silver Armor
*Ancient King's Breastplate
*Venerable Sage's Robe
*Saint's Robe
*Shaman's Clothes
*Dark Silver Gauntlets
*Ancient King's Gauntlet
*Venerable Sage's Gloves
*Saint's Gloves
*Shaman's Armband
*Dark Silver Leggings
*Ancient King's Leggings
*Venerable Sage's Boots
*Saint's Boots
*Shaman's Tabi Socks

The Rest of the Armor is Unisex and can be equipped by every character no
matter their gender.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
++++++++++++++++++++World and Character Tendency [cr2.3]+++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
World and Character Tendency are well...your morality in the game, the actions
you take in a level affect World Tendency, but the actions YOU take are taken
into count for your Character Tendency.

So by now you have a basic grip on WT and CT, but how do you Determine what
they are?, there are 5 Stages to World Tendency:

-Pure Black
-Black
-Neutral (or Grey, whatever you prefer)
-White
-Pure White

You can probably tell a PBWT because you have less HP (about 10% less to be
precise) and even with Cling Ring and being in Soul Form you won't have much
HP, let's do some math shall we?

Character Vitality 99
-----------------------
At Body Form we have around 1900 HP.
In Soul Form we have 950 HP, about 1250 with Cling Ring, this is counted
with Neutral WT and CT.
In Soul Form and being PBWT CT AND WT, we have 769 HP, which is about 860 HP
with Cling Ring, we've lost about 9.80% of our Soul Form HP, which is 50%
without the Cling Ring Equipped, which brings our total to about 41% of Body
Form HP, with Cling Ring the Stats only improve slightly, bringing our total
to about 61% of Body Form HP.

However, to activate Morion Blade and Clever Rat's Ring effect you must be
at 30% below you full HP ,not full Body Form HP, but rather 30% of your
current HP, which doesn't help if you have Pure Black CT and WT, as you'll
be at around 210 HP, which even a Pickaxe Miner in the first playthrough can
deal.

So using our little problem above we can figure that at 30% of HP at body form
with Vitality 99, you'll have 570HP, and in soul form you have around 285 at
Neutral Tendency, for both Character and World, then at Pure Black WT and CT
we have 230 HP.

With Cling Ring Equipped, our totals go to about:

Body Form: About 650HP
Soul Form Neutral: About 370 HP
Soul Form Black Tendency: About 290 HP.

But these are rough estimates from my experiences in the field, wielding the
Magic Sword "Makoto" for about 70 Seconds to lower my HP from full to 30% at
all of these scenarios, the latter one is probably the worst, you'll be getting
killed by enemies a lot unless you can range from far away, but some bows don't
have the best range, the Sticky Compound Longbow+5 has a little less range than
the White Bow +5, but the Sticky Compound Bow +5 is stronger, but if you're
using Morion Blade and CRR (Clever Rat's Ring) you have double the Damage, so
White Bow is your best choice if the target is far away and vise versa for
Sticky Compound Bow.

Other random effects of WT are that:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Black World Tendency
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-You'll see more Black Phantom enemies, stronger enemies that are not
recommended to be killed, especially BP Giants at 5-2, Valley of Defilement.

-Enemies will have more HP, Strength, Defence, and therefore are harder to kill
a Flying Manta at 5-3 can be killed with Stormruler wielded with 2 Hands at 14
Strength and Dexterity, about the stats that you need to wield it, in one shot
with Neutral WT, and with Pure Black WT it'll take at least another shot.

Another example is the Reaper at 5-2, with a White Bow +5 and using Heavy
Arrows, you can probably kill it with just an arrow at 45 Dexterity and
Strength, at Black WT, it'll still be 1 arrow, but you'll notice it has more HP
and it takes less damage, at Pure Black WT however it takes two arrows to kill.

-Black Phantom NPC's will spawn at their Designated places in their certain
worlds, Black Phantom NPC's are Hostile, while some body form NPC's are
friendly and will not attack you unless provoked, much like all NPC's.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
White World Tendency
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-You'll start seeing that certain things are gone, for example, in Boletarian
Palace 1-1, you won't see the Dragon's at their nest and you'll be free to pick
up the loot, I will disscuss this in my sub-section "World-Specific Tendency
Events".

-Body Form NPC's will come and talk to you, sometime's giving you mini-quests
however some Body Form NPC's are Hostile:
-Executioner Miralda at the Boletarian Palace is always Hostile
-Satsuki at the Shrine of Storms asks you for the Magic Sword "Makoto" once you
give it to him, he will turn hostile and try to kill you with it.
-All other Body Form NPC's are friendly, and NPC Scirvir will give you Pure
Greystone for showing him the Dragon Bone Smasher.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also remember that World Tendency doesn't take effect in all the worlds like
Character Tendency, but rather affects the World it's in, you can see you're
World Tendency for each World in the "World and Character Tendency" Option
in the Game Menu, each of them is an Archstone:

- if the little orb in the middle of the Archstone is glowing with various
shades, especially pink and white, you are in Pure White World Tendency.

-if the little orb in the middle of the Archstone is only slightly glowing
with pink, you are in White World Tendency.

-If you have absolutly no color in the Archstone and it is still not black
you are in Neutral Tendency.

-If you have your Archstone a little bit cracked and shaded in with black, you
are in Black World Tendency.

-If the Archstone has cracks all over the place and is completely stained in
Black, you are in Pure Black World Tendency.

World Specific World Tendency Events

o-----------------+
Boletarian Palace
o-----------------+
-----------------------+
Pure White and White |
-----------------------+
- The Gate at the side of the road at the beggining of 1-1 is now open, there
are Black Phantom Dreglings in the field, they drop Crescent Moon Grass and
you can pick up Unknown Hero's Souls from the Corpses, but that's not the real
treasure, kill Miralda at the Execution Tower, if you kill her, she drops the
Binded Armor Set (Hood, Cross, Boots, Gloves) this is one of the best armor
choices for Female Characters, there is also a Colorless Demon's Soul (used
for Upgrading Unique Weapons eg: Dragon Bone Smasher, Adjudicator's Shield)
on a Beam, you have to be very precise on your landing, or you will fall to
your death, there is a set of Brushwood Armor below the Stairs.

-The Dragon's will no longer be at their Nest at 1-1, leaving you free to loot
the corpses there, you can find a purple flame shield, Ring of Great Strength
and a Ring of Flame Resistance among other things.

-------------------------+
Pure Black and Black |
-------------------------+
- You can find a Primeval Demon (drops colorless demon's souls, put it is not
a guaranteed drop, one time only) at the rooftops near the big stairs leading
to the Penetrator at 1-3.

-You can find that the Gate is open at 1-1, you can pick up the same loot that
you did in Pure White, but if you already picked it up, there's no chance of
you getting it again, Black Phantom Miralda will appear here, she drop's a
guillotine axe, it's better killing her in body form if your character is
female, so you can wear the Binded Set, the Guillotine Axe is needed for
Soldier's Trophy, but you can get them as a rare drop from the axemen all over
the Boletarian Palace.

o-----------------------+
Stonefang Tunnel
o-----------------------+
-------------------------+
Pure White and White |
-------------------------+
- Body Form Scirvir is at 2-2, from the right path, take the beams down
(further explained in walkthrough) and he'll be in what appears to be a sealed
tunnel, along with two Crystal Lizards, equip the Dragon Bone Smasher and talk
to him for a Pure Greystone (Weighs 10 KG :O).

- The Rubble on the left side of the area where you fight Dragon God is gone
and you can withdraw the Dragon Bone Smasher from the Ground, this weapon
increases your fire defence and is one of the strongest weapons in the game.

-------------------------+
Pure Black and Black |
-------------------------+
- Black Phantom Scirvir is in the same place that his Body Form was in, kill
him for the strongest magic casting weapon in the game: The Talisman of Beasts
this baby allows you to fire both Spells and Miracles, without having to switch
betweeen Talisman of Gods and your Catalysts.

- Primeval Demon up near where those miners where chucking rocks at you at 2-1

o----------------------+
Tower of Latria
o----------------------+
-------------------------+
Pure White and White |
-------------------------+
- The Rubble near Rydell's cell is gone and you can pick up the loot behind it
which is a Venerable Sage's armor set among other things.

-------------------------+
Pure Black and Black |
-------------------------+
- Black Phantom Rydell outside of his sell, he drops his phosphorent pole.

- Primeval Demon at one of the cliffs in the Lake of Blood at 3-2, it's at the
one where you can find a Ring of Disease Resistance.

o----------------------+
Shrine of Storms
o----------------------+
-------------------------+
Pure White and White |
-------------------------+
- Body Form Satsuki near where you killed the first Silver Skeleton, talk to
him and he'll ask you to bring him the Magic Sword "Makoto" when you do he'll
try to kill you with it, he's not a very tough fight.

- The Spire in the pit where Saint Urbain was in 4-2 no longer has a body on it
you can find the same body next to the Spire and pick-up the Magic Sword
"Makoto"

-------------------------+
Pure Black and Black |
-------------------------+
- Black Phantom Satsuki in the same place as his body form, he's a pretty tough
fight, use Dark Silver Shield and Spear Combo to kill him, make sure you range
the Silver Skeleton, or it'll get harder, it is recommended taking the Shortcut
at 4-1 to get to 4-2 to get to the Primeval Demon without gaining tendency and
therefore staying at Pure Black WT.

-Primeval Demon on a hill in 4-2, the hill you're looking for is the one that
can be accessed by the secret passage in one of the staircases near where you
killed the first Reaper, beware of the Black Phantom Dual Katana Skeleton as it
is the hardest non-boss monster in the game, but it has a 1/200 chance of
dropping Pure Bladestone.

o----------------------+
Valley of Defilement
o----------------------+
-------------------------+
Pure White and White |
-------------------------+
- Body Form Selen Vinland somewhere in 4-2 and she asks you to bring her the
crest of Vinland, which you can get by killing Black Phantom Garl Vinland in
5-3

-Black Phantom Garl Vinland with Maiden Aestrea in 5-3, he drops Brand, a giant
mace, but it is better to kill him in Body Form to get his Dark Silver Armor.

-------------------------+
Pure Black and Black |
-------------------------+
- Black Phantom Selen Vinland in one of the islands after the island that has a
Black Phantom giant, she's easy, just let poison get your HP down to 30% then
equip a theif's ring and backstab her with an enchanted Dragon Bone Smasher,
then Dual Wield it while she casts Anti-Magic Field and use the R2 attack and
grab the "Blind" sword she drops.

- Primeval Demon in ??? location (would someone give me the info??)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character Tendency
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can gain CT by killing NPC's like vendors outside of the Nexus, the ones in
the Nexus are the ones that put up the biggest fights and also the ones that
are the most useful.

You can determine what CT your character has by looking at the statue at in the
"World and Character Tendency" Sub-Option in the Game Menu, but that one is not
very accuarte, an accurate way to look at what your CT is the Soulbrandt and
the Demonbrandt, or the Northen Regalia, because they all have bonuses
depending on your CT.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Demonbrandt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Demonbrandt can be obtained by reducing Old King Doran's HP to 1/4th, Old
King Doran can be found in the Boletarian Family Mauseleum, you can get the key
to the Mauseleum for killing Ostrava, the best way to kill him is after he
gives you Pure Clearstone in 1-3, then killing him in the Nexus before he
suicides in 1-4, but he can be killed as early as 1-1, killing him in 1-1 will
make you overpowered for a lot of the game if you plan on being Pure White CT.

The Demonbrandt has a stat of 130 Strength and 110 Magical Damage.

When it is Pure White CT, you have a Multiplier of 130+ to Strength, totalling
your Physical Damage output to 260.

When it is White CT, you have a multiplier of 78+ to Strength, totalling your
Physical Damage output to 208.

When it is Neutral CT, you have a Multiplier of 0+, totalling your Physical
Damage output to 130.

When it is Black CT, you have a multiplier of -78, totalling your Physical
Damage output to 52.

When it is Pure Black CT, you have a Multiplier of -130, totalling your
Physical Damage to 0.

Multiplier is the same for Magical Damage, as you will have noticed, the weapon
is completely useless at Pure Black CT, and being extremely useful at Pure
White CT, and somewhere between useful and useless at White and Black CT
respectively.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Soulbrandt
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Soulbrandt is obtained by killing King Allant at the end of the game, he is
easy, and with Pure Black CT, you can basically blast your way thru the start
of the NG+

Soulbrandt has a Physical Damage of 120 and the Magical Damage of 130.

When it is Pure Black CT, you have a Multiplier of 130+ to Magic, totalling
your Magical Damage output to 260.

When it is Black CT, you have a multiplier of 78+ to Magic, totalling your
Magical Damage output to 208.

When it is Neutral CT, you have a Multiplier of 0+, totalling your Magical
Damage output to 130.

When it is White CT, you have a multiplier of -78, totalling your Magic
Damage output to 52.

When it is Pure White CT, you have a Multiplier of -130, totalling your
Magical Damage to 0.

It is slightly more powerful than Demonbrandt, by the time you get it you'll
be able to make Northen Regalia.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Northern Regalia
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Northern Regalia is obtained by giving Blacksmith Ed the Soulbrandt, the
Demonbrandt and the False King's Demon's Soul, it is superior to both Soulbrand
and Demonbrandt.

Northern Regalia has a physical damage of 135 and a Magical Damage of 135.

When it is Pure Black CT, you have a Multiplier of 135+ to Magic, totalling
your Magical Damage output to 270.

When it is Black CT, you have a multiplier of 78+ to Magic, totalling your
Magical Damage output to 213.

When it is Neutral CT, you have a Multiplier of 0+, totalling your Magical
Damage output to 135.

When it is White CT, you have a multiplier of 78+, totalling your Magic
Damage output to 213.

When it is Pure White CT, you have a Multiplier of -130, totalling your
Magical Damage to 270.

And exactly the same for Magical Damage, the Northern Regalia strikes at the
same speed of Soulbrandt and Demonbrandt despite the size, so it is one of the
best weapons in the game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mephistopheles
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mephistopheles is one of the many "evil" NPC's in this, she seems safe at first
you can find her at the second floor at the Nexus if the following requirements
are complete:

-Yurt, The Silent Chief has been freed and killed, be careful, if you backstab
him in his cell at 3-2, Fool's Idol Archstone, he will most likely fall off the
edge and you will not be able to pick up his loot (Gloom Armor Set) even if you
load the game, so free him, let him go to the Nexus and kill him there, or he
will start killing random people around the Nexus (Yes, Even Stockpile Thomas)

-You have Pure Black CT, you can get this by killing friendly NPC's and
invading and succesfully killing the host, these are some of the many ways you
can gain more Black CT.

Once you do she will be in the second floor of the Nexus, muttering her secret
plans to resurrect Elvis (lol, wut?) once you talk to her, she will offer you
assassination quests, your targets are the following:

-Saint Urbain and his followers
-Sage Freke and his followers
-Patches, the Hyena
-Biorr of the Twin Fangs
-Ostrava of Boletaria
-Yuria, the Witch

However some of these may be skipped to your liking, Sage Freke and Saint
Urbain should not be rescued at the time you do this, this way you can get on
to killing the three (or four if you are a female player) you want to kill
(Patches, Biorr, Ostrava and Yuria for Females).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saint Urbain and his Followers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------+
Location and Battle:
o--------------------+
You can find Urbain and his followers at the left side of the Nexus, make sure
to get 20 faith and speak to his female follower for a [Stone of Ephemeral
Eyes] and [Pure Faintstone], you should be ready 1 shot KO Saint Urbain, as he
uses an extremely strong God's Wrath Miracle.

His Disciples don't put up much of a fight.

Urbain drops the Saint's Armor set.
o--------------------+
Reward:
o--------------------+
You can get a [Stone of Epemeral Eyes] from Mephistopheles for killing Urbain
and his followers, it's not a very good reward, and you lose the ability to
purchase and remember miracle for the current game cycle, so either do this at
the end of the game (Not Recommended) or not do this at all (Recommended)

o--------------------+
Notes:
o--------------------+
- You can totally avoid this by not rescuing Urbain at 4-2, Adjudicator's
Archstone.

- Mephistopheles says that she wants Saint Urbain dead because she wants to
"eliminate some competition" now what could this mean.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sage Freke and his Followers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------+
Location and Battle:
o--------------------+
You can find Sage Freke and his follower at the right side of the Nexus, behind
the Valley of Defilement Archstone, you should be ready to kill him in one shot
like you did with Saint Urbain, the Anti-Magic Field Miracle makes this fight a
complete joke, but if you don't have it and Yuria is in the Nexus, her
Firestorm spell will kill you no matter your Soul Level, Equipment or Weapons.

o--------------------+
Reward:
o--------------------+
You can get a [Stone of Epemeral Eyes] from Mephistopheles for killing Freke
and his followers, it's not a very good reward, and you lose the ability to
purchase and remember miracle for the current game cycle, so either do this at
the end of the game (Not Recommended) or not do this at all (Recommended)
o--------------------+
Notes
o--------------------+
- You can avoid this by not rescuing Freke from his cell at 3-1, Tower of
Latria.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patches, the Hyena
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTHING IS HERE SINCE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO KILL OFF THE ONLY PROVIDER OF HEAVY
ARROWS FOR A COLORLESS DEMON'S SOUL.

you should skip this by not bringing him to the Nexus by not talking to him at
either 2-2, Armored Spider's Archstone or 4-2, Adjudicator's Archstone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Biorr of the Twin Fangs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------+
Location and Battle
o--------------------+
Rescue Biorr from behind one of the locked doors in 1-2, Tower Knight Archstone
and you will have to obtain an Iron ring of Keys, which you can find by killing
a fat official.

While Biorr has high HP, he will not turn hostile for quite a while, and you
can basically just use Death Cloud to kill him...
o--------------------+
Reward:
o--------------------+
You can obtain a [Colorless Demon's Soul] from Mephistopheles for killing Biorr

o--------------------+
Notes
o--------------------+
- The Colorless Demon's Soul is invaluable, but you might need him for help on
the Penetrator at 1-3, Tower Knight Archstone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ostrava of Boletaria
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------+
Location and Battle:
o--------------------+
He must be rescued in 1-1, Boletarian Palace and 1-2, Phalanx Archstone, for
him to show up in the Nexus, make sure you kill him soon so you can get
Mauselum Key for Demonbrandt and the Talisman of Beasts that Mephistopheles
gives you for killing him, just equip a spear and you'll be fine, he doesn't
deal much damage anyways.

o--------------------+
Reward:
o--------------------+
You can get a [Talisman of Beasts] from Mephistopheles for killing Ostrava.

o--------------------+
Notes:
o--------------------+
No notes

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuria, the Witch
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
o--------------------+
Location and Battle:
o--------------------+
You must first rescue Yuria from 1-3, Tower Knight Archstone, this will be
further detailed in the relevant section in the Walkthrough, she is located
in a corner on the right side of the Nexus, and is victim to both "True Love"
and "Sticky White Stuff" Messages, she is overagressive, and will launch a
firestorm as soon as you hit her a few times, so anti-magic field is a MUST
for melee characters, you can safely range her from between the archstone.

o--------------------+
Reward:
o--------------------+
You will get a [Foe's Ring] from Mephistopheles for killing Yuria, this is
needed for the Rouge's trophy, but you can let a friend in online drop one and
let let you hold it for a couple of seconds for the trophy, that is assuming
that you have all other rings.

o--------------------+
Notes:
o--------------------+
- Mephistopheles will use the Soulsucker Spell on you once you have finished
all the quests, so you should kill her before Yuria, unless you want Yuria's
Three-Cornered Hat, she's not a tough fight but Soulsucker drains your Soul lvl
by 1.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++Soul and Body Form [cr2.5]++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically there are two forms to your Character in Demon's Souls, Body and Soul
Form, here's the lowdown on each one:

o--------------------+
Body Form
o--------------------+
- You look like a regular human, you scream when you fall and grunt when you
attack with a heavy weapon.

- You have a complete health meter and you deal a little bit more damage.

- You can summon Blue Phantoms to help you out, if they have already left
a soul sign, you can also summon Black Phantoms to duel with, and you can be
invaded, and you can Banish Black Phantom's with Banish Miracle, and make
Blue Phantom's leave with a white eye stone.

o--------------------+
Soul Form
o--------------------+
- You have a healthy green glow around you, you don't scream or grunt.

- Your Health Meter is reduced by 50%, but only by 25% if you are wearing
the Cling Ring.

- You can be summoned as a Blue Phantom and you can leave Red Soul Signs
to battle the host as a Black Phantom for them to lose a Soul Level and
for you to gain the Souls that they had to pay in order for them to gain that
level (painful to the player at higher levels).

And that's basically it, but you also lose World Tendency when you die in body
form.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++The Nexus [cr2.6]+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Demon's Souls, your little headquarter is The Nexus, here you can find a
bunch of friendly NPC's, they can be just for talking to, Tutors or Vendors.

You can also find the Pantheon at the very top of the Nexus, this is like a
high scores for the online mode, if you are a good player, then you may just
be able to end up here the game saves your stats from every game completion
you could be a master right now, but people would think that you still are
level 75 and have crap weapons.

Ok, this is how the walkthrough is going to work:

- This Walkthrough DOES NOT go by order, instead it goes by my own experiences
like most of the non-factual information in this walkthrough, we are charting
our own way into the game so we have an upper advantage through the rest of the
game and NG+

- I will not go by abbreviations, this is for both your sake and for mine,
yours for not having to understand all of these wierd abbreviations, and mine
for not having to write an abbreviations list.

- The Walkthrough focuses on objectives and how to complete them, remember to
follow the guide's instructions on how to complete these objectives, if you
still think I'm being vauge on something, don't be afraid to pop me an email so
I can shed some light on your question and hopefully add details to the Guide
itself.

- I will add how to get Tendency events in later updates, so don't bug me about
that.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-==-=-=---=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-
First, start up your game, create your Character and learn everything you need
to know from my Game Basics section, if this is your first character, you will
be forced to pass through the tutorial.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Tutorial++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
.---------------.
Area: Tutorial
+-----------------------------------------------+
Enemies: Dregling, Zombie Knight, Zombie Ranger
Blue Eyed Knight
NPC's: None
Boss: Vanguard, Soul: Grey Demon's Soul.
'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: Just Parry and Riposte should
kill most enemies here, regardless of your
weapon or stats
'-----------------------------------------------'
You'll get a couple of intro cutscenes, then you'll be placed in some sort of
pathway, run forward and kill your very first enemy, A Dregling, this one tends
to not attack you very much, so it will fall victim to your attacks pretty
easily, continue along, you'll kill more Dreglings, the you'll eventually come
across a bridge, you can take the [Crescent Moon Grass x 3] at the point where
you jump off.

There will be three Dreglings ahead, once the area is cleared, approach the
Archstone in one of the huts and press X to go to a new area, just ahead you'll
be greeted by a zombie knight, continue forwards, and you'll find a blue eyes
knights, these can kill you if you're too reckless, but if you're a master of
parry/ riposte, then you shouls dispatch them easy, or if you started as a
magician or a royal, you'll have spells at your disposal, so fire it at them
if they have their guard up, you should be able to break their guard with 3
hits with Soul Arrow and with 2 hits with Flame Toss.

Enter the gate on your right, and continue on, if you break open some crates
you can find [Half Moon Grass x 1] and you can continue up the ramp, killing
some more enemies ahead, eventually you'll come across a Knight and a Ranger
you can kill these like you've killed them before, grab the [Unknown Soldier's
Soul x 1] from the corpse and head through the Fog Gate, you'll face a Knight
once it's dead, climb up the stairs to encounter your first boss.

.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++BOSS: Vanguard+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
'------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------------'
|Boss Name: Vanguard |Boss Difficulty: 5/5 |Soul: Grey Demon's Soul |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Strategy: The Vanguard is not meant to be killed, however, unlike many other
"not meant to be killed" bosses, you can ACTUALLY kill this one, but it will
be hard, if you started as a royal or a magician you will have this fight
be pretty easy for you, just sprint forwards at the start of the battle, then
about as he's gonna take a swing at you, roll left or right, with the right
timing, you will dodge his strike, cast Flame Toss or Soul Arrow at him, and
rinse and repeat, if you do this correctly, he'll eventually fall, remember
to heal and restore MP often.
'-----------------------------------------------------------------------------'
If you kill this heck of a boss, you can touch it's archstone to head to a new
area, you can find some treasure (treasures names unknown to me) then you can
head outside, either way, beat the Vanguard or not, you will get Falcon Punched
into the Nexus.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++The Nexus+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: When you see little sections like this, it means we are taking a break to
do something here in the Nexus.

Welcome to the true beggining of the game, you'll be in Soul Form, take a while
to talk to NPC's, use the souls you got from the Tutorial to spend on something
by know, you'll be thirsty for souls, well, a quick way to get souls is to kill
the Crestfallen Warrior (The Blue Dude) he drops a storied soldier's soul, if
you consume it you will get 2000 Souls, which is a nice big bonus, he can be
killed easily by magic, if you are a magician, make sure you have fresh spices
if you are a Royal, go to where you are out of his reach and let Fragrant Ring
restore your MP.

Once you kill him, you can spend the soul (if you want, but you can keep it for
later) and use it to updrade your weapons or shields, once you are done with
everything you need to do, leg it to the Small King's Archstone.

Area: 1-1 Boletarian Palace

Enemies: Dregling, Zombie Knight, Zombie Ranger
Red Eyes Knight, Blue Eyes Knight, Mini-Phalanx
NPC's: Ostrava of Boletaria, Old King Doran
Boss: Phalanx Soul: Head Demon's Soul
'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: Riposte at times, but magic at

farming.
'-----------------------------------------------'

[] Objective: Finish Boletarian Palace, 1-1.
Once you arrive move your camara behind you and run backwards, break open the
barricades and loot the body for [Late Moon Grass x2] then run back to main
path, smash all the barricades, kill the Dreglings, they are slightly tougher
than the ones at the tutorail, if you see some stairs with a closed gate, do
not worry, we can open this later.

Continue forward, you'll see a massive gate, the gate on the right is sealed,
so take the left path, then take left again (do not worry about the treasure
in between the gate's in front of you, we will get that later) then kill the
Ranger and the two Dreglings, don't be fooled, that pit is a begginer's trap
I know you see treasure but you can't get it from here, you can get it from
accessing the locked gate at the start.

Once you are done killing everything, just head forward into a room, quickly
kill the Dregling on the right, then the one in the front, then kill the one in
the next room, then exit out, smash the crates for some [Firebomb x?] and go up
the stairs, kill the two knights and proceed through the fog.

Once you've passed through, continue up the stairs to your right and kill the
Knight, the firebombs they throw can hurt you, so block them, continue further
up and kill the Flaming Weapon Dregling, then kill some more enemies up the
stairs, finally head out to the left into a balcony, kill the Dregling and the
Knight here, then continue out, once you get to the stairs, sprint back onto
the platform, to dodge the boulder, you may like to go back to where you saw a
body near the entrance to the balcony, if you do you will be rewarded with a
[Bastard Sword x1] head back and go into the main path, kill the crossbowers
behind you, and kill the Lanceman Knight and the Ranger there, step out onto
the bridge.

You can dispatch the Red Eyes Knight here pretty easily with Soul Arrow and
Flame Toss, just stay in Lock-On distance and fire it at them, you'll break
their guard eventually, this deals more damage and let's you score an open hit
on them.

Head back out to where you went out of the stairs, and kill the Blue Eyes
Knight here, then go forward, then down the stairs, kill the Flaming Weapon
Dreglings (beware of their flaming weapons touching the barrels, but you can
also use this to your advantage) you should go out in a balcony, and smash the
two chains.

Keep on going down, then once you're down on Solid Ground, then pull the lever
then go out the door, you've just made a shortcut !, grab the [Cling Ring x1]
then backtrack back to where you killed Blue Eyes Knight, then take
the road to the left and step inside the fog.

Kill the enemies here, then jump down onto the platform (keep on running
against the wall, you'll jump down eventually) if you succesfully land on the
correct platform, you'll find Ostrava of Boletaria, and a [Theif's Ring] you
can kill all the Dreglings around him, he'll drop down and give you [Brass
Telescope x1] and you can kill him for a [Mausuleum Key], we'll do this quest
after we kill Adjudicator, while you are down here grab the [Scimitar] from the
body.

From the path you where before you jumped down for Theif's Ring, continue right
then kill the Knight (don't die because it chucks a firebomb at the barrel's
instead dodge, he will kill himself by doing so and you won't have a scratch)
then you can continue on, destroy the barricades on the right, then get what
you need at Dregling Merchant (buy some more Firebombs and whatever you want).

Then continue on, you'll reach a large paths, kill the knights there with magic
and then continue on, with your shield raised, don't turn your back or you'll
get hit by the crossbows, instead run onto the scaffolding, kill the Knights
and the Blue Eyes Knight, then the crossbowers, if you want anything from
Dregling Merchant do it now!, go back to where you killed the last ranger.

Step into the Fog, if you have a sword or a rapier, slash at the little wall
in front of you, this will release some cannonballs that will roll down and
kill the Dreglings, then take the door on the right once you are done.

Kill the Lancemen, if you go to your right you will see some Dragons guarding
some loot, don't be an idiot and try to pick this up now, instead go back and
go forward, there will be a bridge with a lot of enemies, thankfully the red
dragon will show up and toast them all, you can (unverified, but it worked
for me) go back to nest while Red Dragon is still frying the enemies, and
obtain the loot which includes a [Purple Flame Shield x1] among other things
just don't pick up Blue Dragon loot.

After the bridge has been cleared of enemies, unequip everything and quickly
sprint through to safety, then equip everything again, keep on going down,
you'll find a lever, pull it for a small scene (man that's a lot of fog) then
continue down and head to the right, go down through the stairs, killing the
Mini-Phalanxes on the way, then pull this lever and exit out, you'll be right
at the start of the stage again (at the locked door at the right) set
firebombs to your [] Button hotkey and enter the fog to meet your first REAL
boss:

Ok, now, the Maiden in Black orders you to go and speak to the Monumental on
the higher levels of the Nexus (You can also purchase basic spells and miracles
from their respective tutors) he is easy to find, just climb the external
stairs and go up into a small chamber, then turn left, then left again, then
head out into a ring-like corridor, there are a lot of dead monumentals, the
monumental you are looking for has a candle next to him.

He will give you a little (Ok, it consumes the entire game, but so what?) quest
and he will tell you the Maiden in Black can now help you raise your soul level
by giving her Souls, head back to the Boletarian Palace and farm the Red Eyes
Knight for souls until you have about 25000 Souls, then spend it on Soul Levels
then farm the Mini-Phalanxes (high luck, please) until you have a lot of
Sharpstone (Chunks, Shards and Large Shards) it will pay off later, don't worry

Anyways, once we're done with that let's go to 4-1, Shrine of Storms!.

NPC's: Graverobber Blige
Boss: Adjudicator Soul: Swollen Demon's Soul
'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: Remember your stamina and use
magic around skeleton, you can sneak up behind
them during their strong attack for a backstab
'-----------------------------------------------'
[] Objective: Finish 4-1, Shrine of Storms.
[] Sub-Objective: Find an Uchigatana.
[] Sub-Objective 2: Find a Crescent Falchion.
[] Sub-Objective 3: Find an Adjudicator's Shield.
[] Sub-Objective 4: Find a Compound Long Bow.

Ok, we got plenty of Objectives here, but we have a shortcut to the 4-1 boss
but i'll explain that later.

At the start of the stage, you will see a Silver Skeleton, kill it quickly you
can backstab them while they are using their Strong attacks, then there'll be
some more Silver Skeletons and a Ranger Skeleton, kill them, and step into the
fog, step to left, sprint forward and to the left of the opening, then go to
left, you can find a Dual Katana Skeleton here, kill it like you did with a
Red Eyes Knight, although Dual Katana Skeletons are harder.

Now, you can take the [Crescent Falchion] from the body.

[x] Sub-Objective 2 Compelte!: Acquired a Crescent Falchion.

Ok from here head out onto the stairs, kill the skeletons, and head down into
the ruined path, and head down into yet another tower, beware of traps and
Silver Skeletons, next to the Archer Skeleton, you can find a [Compound Long
Bow]

[x] Sub Objective 4 Complete!: Acquired a Compound Longbow.

Ok, now head back to the fog gate, kill the Vanguard, take some fresh spices
if you choose to kill him in the easiest way: Magic, after you kill him, get
the Gray Demon's Soul, then search the two corpses close by for both an
[Uchigatana] and a [Kilij] the Crescent Falchion will do for now, head into
the next fog gate.

[x] Sub Objective Complete!: Acquired a Uchigatana.

You can head up the stairs, kill the Skeletons, beware of flying mantas, as
they can hit you for a lot of damage! kill the two skeletons and if done
correctly (hugging the wall on the right) you won't attract the attention of
the Dual Katana Skeleton guarding the Adjudicator's Shield.

You can kill it like the previous one, or you can get it to run into some
rubble, and kill it while it's stuck, but that's not guaranteed to work, so
just try it, if it gets stuck, good, if it doesn't BAD, just kill it using
run n' shoot strategies.

Run back to first fog gate, you can run up to the top of the tower, get
yourself to 50% of your equipment burden, then position yourself on the
opposite side of the tower, then roll off, then fall off, if done correctly
you should be able to pick up a [Regenerator's Ring], if you can't do it
then perhaps a text explanation is not enough, try searching "Demon's Souls
4-1 Shortcut" on Youtube.

Once this is done, you should avoid those pesky Golden Skeletons, head through
along a pretty straightforward path, there is [Shard of Cloudstone x2] from
a body, head through to a ruin like area, then head up the stairs here, then
go all around, use the planks to get to the otherside of the area and grab the
[Graverobber's Ring] from the body, then jump back down.

There should be a small tunnel with a trap, dodge the trap by running in and
hugging left or right wall, or just stepping out of the small tunnel, down
some steps, you can find YET another Dual Katana Skeleton, kill it as normal
and now collect the [Half Moon Grass x2] from the body, equip a spear (you
should have gotten one as a drop from farming the Red Eyes Knight) and step
through the fog.

.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------.

'------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------------'
|Boss Name: Adjudicator |Boss Difficulty:1-5/5 |Soul: Swollen Demon's Soul |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Strategy: You can jump down with your spear equipped along with your strong
weapon (no change neccessary if your spear is your main, strong weapon) and
approach it's fat backside, the little Meat Cleaver won't attack you, so if
you stay out of range of the big meat cleaver, you will be able to stay alive
and lock onto it's right or left leg, then swing spear with sheild on, if you
hear a Squelching Noise that means you hit him, do this around 10 times and
it'll be knocked down, attack the bird on it's head and rinse and repeat when
it gets back up, you can probably range it from a safe distance, but I don't
know how you would do this.

General Tips: Divide and Conquer/ Lure techs
work real well here, to mellee Reapers just use
Spear n' Shield
'-----------------------------------------------'
[] Objective: Finish 4-2, Adjudicator's Archstone.

Get Swollen Demon's Soul from Archstone, chances are you have some arrows, but
you can also buy them at the Nexus, so return if neccessary, head down and kill
the Grim Reaper from the "Sniper's Perch" then jump down from there and collect
the loot from the Grim Reaper's Body, you'll notice he gives about 4500 Souls
each time and is extremely easy to kill, so farm it instead of the Red Eyes
Knight.

Go into the room on the side of the reaper, either one it doesn't matter, and
talk to Patches, The Hyena and he'll tell you to jump down into that pit
if you went to the Nexus your WT updated, so there might be a corpse on the
ground that holds the [Magic Sword "Makoto"] which is an extremely powerful
sword that has a high tendency to make the enemy bleed but it saps your HP
by 1% per second, so it's also handy for getting the Clever Rat's Ring effect
also talk to Saint Urbain, and kill the Black Phantom, a Purple Flame shield
blocks most of the damage, and since it's using a Hiltless some of the Damage
will be inflicted back onto it, if you are agile enough, you can try parrying
and riposte.

If you want you can go back to the Nexus and upgrade your Uchigatana to +6,
don't updrage it further, just leave it like this.

Back to where you killed the reaper, head to the back of the Tombstone and
step on the pressure pad, it'll open a door, once again be wary of the flying
Mantas.

Get your bow out and snipe the Silver Skeleton at the very back, it will charge
at you and roll of a cliff, but you'll still get souls for killing it, do the
same for the Archer (but kill it with arrows) and provoke the Silver Skeleton
at the stairs, it can't get past if you haven't gone off the platform (it can
in some cases, but that's unlikely) so just slash at it while it's rolling at
you.

You should be loaded with healing items for farming Red Eyes Knight, so equip
those to your hotkey, use Divide and Conquer Techniques or Lure Techinques to
kill the Golden Skeletons, once dispatched, head into the Fog Gate.

Keep your Shield up, and make sure you can still roll properly, be extremely
careful of the ghost that shoots a lazer beam out of it's mouth, this can do
very high damage to your character, and will kill some low vitality folks.

Kill it with a few swipes of your Winged Spear or Uchigatana, then head down
onto another set of stairs, there is another Lazer-Firing Ghost here, kill
it, then you should see another reaper at the side of the platform, kill it
to kill all the ghosts here, don't think about following it to where it went
because you'll die.

Go down another set of stairs and CONTINUE FORWARDS, because the loot you see
on your right are just pieces of Crescent Moon Grass, once you are done step
out to the hillside, then follow the path into another Fog Gate?, once inside
kill the ghost and turn right, then head forwards, ignore the ghost, but kill
the Reaper (Spear n' Shield Combination Recommended).

Head down the stairs on a pool filled with exploding beams of light and glowing
slugs, go down into the pool of slugs, you can sniff around to find a body with
[Hiltless] and [Ronin's Ring], Hiltless is not recommended because it inflicts
3% of the Damage you did back to you, so people with extremely low vitality and
very high strength and dexterity can basically kill themselves in one-shot
(although there aren't much people like this =P) head back up to high ground,
and head through to near another Fog Gate, equip Theif's Ring and keep your
equipment weight below 50%, and practice only tilting your left analog stick
a little so that you only use footsteps, with all of that along with your
favourite weapon's we're ready to go!:

CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE JUST KILLED THE ARCHDEMON FOR THE AREA: SHRINE OF

[x] Objective Complete!: Finished 4-3, Old Hero's Archstone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
++++++++++++++++++++++++++Pure White Tendency Events+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After returning to the Nexus (and not have died in body form in here) you will
have PWWT at the Shrine of Storms, not only are the enemies weaker but we can
go back to 4-1.

At the gate next to the Silver Skeleton, Satsuki, the Jerk will be standing
there, he will ask you to retrieve the Magic Sword "Makoto", so waltz back to
the Nexus and go to 4-2.

Go back to the room Saint Urbain was held up in (And what the heck!, farm the
Reaper for a little while you're here) and the body that was on the Spire is
now to the side of it, so loot it for the [Magic Sword "Makoto], this baby
here will do immense physical damage, and is very quick it can also be upgraded
for extra awesomeness, it has a 340~ish chance for Bleed, but saps HP by
1% each second, Regenerator's Ring counters this, and Adjudicator's Shield only
sweetens the deal.

Once you are done basking in the sword's glory, report back to Satsuki, he'll
take Makoto from you and try to kill you with it (Old Bastard....) rolling and
Meat Cleaver work wonders here, reclaim your sword and go online for the WT
Glitch to work it's wonders and return you back to Neutral Tendency.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
++++++++++++++++++++++++++Pure Black Tendency Events+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Get five Ephemeral Eye Stones, then revive and kill yourself until you run out,
return to the Nexus and come back, you'll be in PBWT, not only are the enemies
stronger, but you'll find several Black Phantom Dual Katana Skeletons dragged
all around the place.

They drop Pure Bladestone, the single most annoying item to get in all of
gaming history other than the Danjuro in Final Fantasy XII, so you can try
out for that, you'll probably be tearing your hair out...

But other than that, we can fight Black Phantom Satsuki and get another [Hilt
less].

NPC's: Blacksmith Ed, Filthy Man
Boss: Armor Spider Soul: Hard Demon's Soul
'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: Spears and Rapiers work well here
you must attack most miners for them to become
hostile.
'-----------------------------------------------'
[] Objective: Finish 2-1,
Let's move out to the bridge, if you are online you can read an unrecommendable
undeletable message by Atlus which reads "The Following Enemy is susceptible to
piercing attacks" which means, get your spear n' shield out.

Head through the bridge, using a sheild is 100% useless and timewasting against
the rocks that are being thrown at you, as you go into the safespot on the left
you can smash some crates to obtain [Sticky White Stuff x2], you can go through
the gate.

Head to the left, backstab the Miners in this order:
1. Pickaxe Miner
2. Miners next to it.
3. Miners on the other side.

This will make sure you are not attacked, but the barefisted ones will not deal
as much damage as the others, so the Pickaxe and Hammer Miners are your
priority, continue through, beware of the wolves, and do not position yourself
where the Fat Minister can get to you really easily, his spell will most likely
kill people with Low Vitality Builds.

You can kill the Fat Minister after you've killed all the wolves and the miners
then grab the treasure behind Fat Minister, then head into the small door way
in the room just behind the minister, kill the miner trying to ambush you, then
heal yourself.

Further up the stairs, there is yet another stupid pickaxe miner, however he
does not have the element of surprise, kill him, then sprint further up the
hallway, yet ANOTHER miner is trying to take a whack at you, we'll show him!
once you're done with him keep on running forward, ignore the treasure in one
of the rooms, it's just a pickaxe, which is just a dead weight of 3KG's.

Climb out into the Balcony, you can climb all the stairs, and notice a locked
door with a fog gate, we are gonna need to pull a lever for this to work,
drop down, kill all the miners, there's a lever there somewhere, make your own
way back to the Fog Gate and go through it.

Climb all the stairs and notice the pool of Lava on your left...yeah, we kinda
need to go through all of it, so we have to either stop the lava flow or find
another way around.

Head up and kill the Sword Miners, head down onto another Balcony, pull the
lever, then go down the platforms, talk to Blacksmith Ed and Upgrade your
Uchigatana to Crescent or Moon (We can do crescent now, because we have a lot
of Darkmoonstone, and you probably came across some Moonlightstone, so whatever
floats your boat is fine).

Then go back to where the Sword Miners were, then go past another Fog Gate
head up all of the stairs, it's a fairly straightforward path, you'll
eventually end up at a ring filled with giant flaming geckos, Spear n' Shield
or Magic, you can get off these rings, my mind of this bit is a little hazy
so you'll have to find your own way through.

You'll eventually find a lever, pull it for a cutscene, go back down to the
pool of lava, it's gone!

Go through, it's not very complicated, there is a fat minister that is shooting
fireballs at the barrels, STAY AWAY, the explosion will kill you, just spear
n' shield him, and roll away from his magic, he's pretty easy.

Now, continue further down, go on to the platform and turn the handle, this
will take you down into another area, I strongly recommend summoning a phantom
for this next boss.

Do what you need, farm Grim Reaper or Flying Mantas with Stormruler for a while
and head out to the Valley of Defilement (Chieftain's Archstone).

++++++++++++++++++++++++++5-1, Valley of Defilement++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Area: 5-1 Valley of Defilement

'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: Be very careful with giants in
all forms of tendency, they are strong, spear
n' shield from behind a wall works nicely
'-----------------------------------------------'
[] Objective: Complete 5-1, Valley of Defilement

Take the boardwalk up, then after climbing all of it, you'll be on what appears
to be a small roof, there is a hole at the end, jump in then continue through,
there is a bunch of holes, go down there will be hot rod (no pun intended)
wielding Goblins, kill them all (be wary of the Black Phantom in PBWT, it's
very, very dangerous) then look for a small boardwalk, jump down (Leap of Faith
Assassin's Creed Style!) into some hay.

From here, kill the Blood Bug behind the rubble and grab the [Blessed Mace+1]
from here, walk across the bridge, keep a shield up and get your spear out,
and fumigate the rats in the next room, if you get the plague for some reason
there is a merchant if you climb up some more boards.

Once the rats are killed and you are at normal condition, continue through the
boardwalk, kill a giant, then go through the boards, kill some blood bugs,
be aware of the giant that is right there, kill it, then continue through the
bridge to come across a fog gate to meet your next boss (Geez, that was quick)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++5-2, Leechmonger Archstone++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Area: 5-2, Leechmonger Archstone
+-----------------------------------------------+
Enemies: Goblin, Giant, Jellyfish, Blood Fly
NPC's: Filthy Woman (Vendor), Selen Vinland
Boss: Dirty Colossus Soul: Eroded Demon's Soul
'-----------------------------------------------'
General Tips: The Swamp here slows you down as
if you were overburdened and it will not allow
you to kill the Giants on Islands, but
strategically throwing Flame Toss at them while
evading their attacks seems to work
'-----------------------------------------------'
[] Objective: Complete 5-2, Leechmonger's Archstone

Trade in the Wriggling Demon's Soul for Poison Cloud (or Cure if you are going
for Saint's Trophy, but Cure might help you in this area more, so it's entirely
your choice.)

Travel down the Narrow Road, and pick up the [Unknown Hero's Soul] and continue
down onto the boardwalk, kill the flame-rod Goblin then collect the [Royal
Lotus x2] from the steps down into the swamp, make sure you have plenty of them
or the Cure miracle.

Traverse the Swamp for Marvellous Treasure and an Annoying Meat Cleaver Black
Phantom and a sense that you are lost, once you get your treasure, return to
your initial starting point, hug the deteriorated wall, you can pick up stuff
like a [Mirdan Hammer] here, eventually you'll arrive at an island with a lot
of barricades in from to of it, cross the barricades to kill some goblins and
a really pumped up Giant, kill it (Flame Toss strategy works wonders!) and
proceed through the fog.

You can proceed through and fall down (after a small fence thingy) then go into
one of the Islands, if you are in Pure Black WT then you are in luck, Black
Phantom Selen Vinland stands here, PUT ON YOUR THEIF'S RING AND MEAT CLEAVER
and enchant the Meat Cleaver like no tomorrow, then after you are ready, and
fully pumped up, backstab her, then 2h the Meat Cleaver and do R2 attack until
she dies, she drops [Blind] when you are finished with her.

Otherwise, if you are in Pure White World Tendecy (i.e, finish off the Dirty
Colossus then return here again) she will ask you to find her Brother Garl,
but alternatively, if you are a female character you can kill her for her armor
which is pretty good and matches the Ancient King's Set for Male Characters.

There are much, much, much more islands here than in the first section of the
swamp, then continue through, if you aim the camera correctly you can see the
fog gate here, proceed to it, be warned, there are Slugs and Blood Flies on the
way, you can collect the [Large Sword of Moonlight] from the Slug Nest too.

Eventually you'll start seeing messages that say "Lure it out" and "Use Lure
Techniques on the next foe", this means that there are two giants right in
front of you, equip Theif's Ring, take stealthy footsteps and use the Flame
Toss strategy, and take them on one by one, you'll eventually turn out
victorious, head into the fog after collecting all the goodies.

Turn left to buy stuff from the Filthy Woman, then continue through, down the
ramp, there is a couple of goblins that are getting ready to ambush you, so
be ready, then step into the other side without catching poison, there is a
whole bunch of scaffolding in this place it's not funny.

There is a Goblin here that can cast Poison Cloud (or maybe Acid or Death, I've
never actually been touched by the attack, I've only seen it happen) kill it
then you can collect the body that is housing [Widow's Lotus x2], then proceed
through the Scaffolding, beware of ambushing enemies is all I need to say here.

Eventually you'll reach the Fog for our next boss, equip Meat Cleaver and
hotkey any items you may have that serve for the purpose of enchanting (Sticky
White Stuff, Black Turpentine, which you should have plenty of and Turpentine)

'------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------------'
|Boss Name:Maiden Aestrea|Boss Difficulty:0/5 |Soul: Pureblood Demon's Soul|

Strategy: Remember how I said Old Hero was the easiest boss?, well he's not
it's Maiden Aestrea, to kill her, you won't even need to lay a finger on her
just step onto the Boardwalk on the right, kill the Goblins here, then jump
down, buff up Meat Cleaver and 2h it, then get Garl Vinland's attention with
a spell, he will attack you, cross the swamp, then position yourself on that
ramp that is right there, backstep or roll back or simply run back, then do
an R2 Strong Attack, the fight should be over in a matter of seconds, grab
Garl's Dark Silver Armor and talk to Maiden Aestrea to end the fight

head back to 4-3.

Enter the Boss Area again, You'll find Black Phantom Garl Vinland loitering
around here, he's a toughass fight, because he hits hard, but you can kill him
like you did for the regular Garl Vinland, once he's dead, grab his [Bramdt]

factor.

[] Objective: Complete 2-2, Armor Spider Archstone.

Proceed through, there are a couple of tunnels there, take the one on the
right, kill the miners, they hit pretty high (aren't you glad we levelled up!)
and proceed through to what seems to be a "Dead End", go to the right, smash
the mining carts, then hop down onto the platform, then face left, hop down on
to that one.

Then go to the end of that platform, and step on the lone plank at the left,
then jump off it afterwards, you'll be at a cave, snipe the crystal geckoes,
then repeat a similar process to go down, eventually you'll land at a flat area
with three worms, aim at their head and use magic to kill them off.

Head into the tunnel, to the left you can find [Hands of God x2], it is highly
then head back and take the right path this time, you can find a [Stone of
Ephemeral Eyes] here too, use it and see when Soul Signs show up so you can
summon someone (Optional) and once you have your little buddy helping you or
not, head into the fog, oh, and make sure equipment weight is below 50%.

pillars, the Dragon God will not be able to see you, therefore it's eyes are
yellow, there is rubble along the pathway, destroy it by aiming with a bow at
it then using Soul Arrow or Flame Toss at it a couple of times, then proceed
at the end of the pathway, press the button to operate the crossbow and hit
the Dragon, climb down the new stairs and do the same, after activating the

Colorless Demon Soul.

Then go back to the tunnel from the right in 2-2, then find the big tunnel with
the Crystal Lizard/ Gecko, you can find Scirvir, the Wanderer, equip the Dragon
Bone Smasher and talk to him he'll give you a [Pure Greystone] (10KGs =O!!).
