cougar hunting

If you look on the map in the game, it should have pictures of animals. There are different pictures in different places. Now find the picture representing
the cougar and go to that place. Cougars are rare so it may take some time to find one. I think they are more popular north of tall trees (where it snows). I hope this helps.

i get attacked by cougars all the time in the great plains (i dont know if u've unlocked that yet though) but theres also cougars in mexico by ojo del diablo (thats where u'll find khan for rank 9 or 10 i dont remember)

Cougars can be found around Fort Mercer, Great Plains, Tall Trees, and Mexico. A map of the game should have came with the game, you can look at that if you have it, or look at the animals on the game map by pausing, and clearly clicking map. The best chance you have finding Cougars is around Tall Trees, or Northeast of the Wreak of the Serpenity, or however you spell the ship.

just try getting on ur horse at night n roam around just north of mc farlanes ranch. just walk around shoot a few random animals n u should eventually hea that mofo roar when hes about to attack ur butt. thats what happened to me at least.

The area around the big rock-thing by fort mercer is the easiest if you want it before going to another area, as there is loads of cougars there.

Tactic for knifing them and surviving:
1. Find a cougar
2. Kill it
3. Find its friend (they hunt in couples)
4. Shoot it in the stomach with a volcanic (obtained in twin rocks gang hideout)
5. Charge it with a knife. It will run away, and quite quickly, so use a horse.
6. Knife it to death
7. Make sure there's no more cougars in the area
8. Skin it

Hello I have found a glitch in the game that works very well for this mission.Go to your map and find Beechers Hope go there and have fun.I have found that the animals...skunk,wolf,raccoon,snake,deer,fox,cougars wild horses and many different birds spawn there...with that being said heres the glitch I have found...NONE of them attack you as long as you are inside the fence surrounding the property.They will actually run away from you.

You should not find cougars in mexico. If you have completed the game you find them almost everywhere when you travel. I found that the hotspots are in the plains south of blackwater, I found a few in tall tree (but there are ALOT of bears there), the NE of the middle area of map and a found a couple near armadillo.
