Easy Head Start
Take advangtage of the free time to roam around at the start of the game to unlock ALL the radio towers. If you do this without using any vehicles you will naturally get everything you need to upgrade your items, earn more money, and obtain free weapons. Make sure you loot everyone you kill and sell their items.
Undamaged Animal Hides
One way to get an undamaged hide from the animal you are hunting is to use a weak weapon to do the first hit and then use more powrful methods to finish it off.

When you complete the following tasks the corresponding weapon will become unlocked.

All you have to do is shoot him in the mouth while / before he can summon his minions. After you knocking him down about 5 times go to where he fell and hold x (depending on what console you're on) and your companion(the tiger) will jump into his mouth and finish him off. |
