Hello there, readers! Welcome to my Xenosaga Episode II Double Tech Guide! The
Techs are Japanese so we'll try to cover up some translations and descriptions
just for you! So just sit in the front of the computer, eyes on the Guide and
read! Enjoy!

2. Why bother making this Guide?
----------
You might wonder, no? Making this short Guide for nothing? Well, actually I'm
liking the game but when it comes to Japanese conversations, you just sit in
the couch, drooling and thinking "Ha? I don't understand." and just keep
playing it without understanding! For me, I'm here making the Guide not just
for those who understand Japanese, it's for everyone!

So, how does the Tech Guide form? Here are some parts:

Take note that all Double Techs can be used only once per battle. Translated
Dialogues and Techs are based on our own understanding.

Archangel's Requiem (US)

Description: Jr. and Shion are standing back-to-back then Shion raises her
M.W.S and blasts upward, revealing an Archangel's wings and feathers slowly
falls down. Jr. then fires the feather one by one with great accuracy while
moving continuously, reflecting the bullets with the feather and sending
beams of light downward to the enemy.
Dialogue:
Jr./Shion: "Aruku anjerikku rekiemu!!" (Ark Angelic Requiem!!)

Fiery Ritornelle (US)

Description: Ziggy does a sweep kick, creating a block on each side then Jr.
hops on Ziggy back and punches the ground, causing the blocks to explode and
a flame-wings like envelops Jr. then fires his pistols causing a rain of
flaming arrows showering down to the enemies.
Dialogue:
Jr./Ziggy: "Baaningu korasu!" (Burning Chorus!)

Shion and M.O.M.O.

Veil effects are doubled for 5 turns

Description: Now how do I describe it...we see Shion raising both of her arms
and M.O.M.O. kneeling and praying then Shion approaches her, asking if she
is ready. M.O.M.O. says yes, stands up then a lot of butterflies fly around.
Dang, hard to describe and the background was similar to the Inu Yasha
Opening "Grip!".
Dialogue:
Shion: "Yoi wa ii?" (Are you ready?)
M.O.M.O.: "Hai, Shion-san!" (Yes, Shion!)
Shion/M.O.M.O.: "Baasuto veiru!" (Burst Veil!)

Power combination arts (as decsribed in the JP Version of XSII)

Description: KOS-MOS and Ziggy does an aerial kick, then does a flurry of
whirlwind kicks and they start charging their fists (Ziggy's left fist and
KOS-MOS' right fist) and punches it to the enemy, creating an "X" fist. One
of my favorite techs.

KOS-MOS: "Kurosu fisuto!" (Cross Fist!)

Description: KOS-MOS' hands began to shine, then M.O.M.O. is kneeling an
raises her hands and KOS-MOS puts her hands on M.O.M.O., causing a ripple

KOS-MOS: "Senjutsu budou jikou shimasu." (It is my pleasure to dance with you.)
chaos/KOS-MOS: "Danshingu rondo." (Dancing Rondo.)

Description: Shion orders KOS-MOS and she(KOS-MOS) does the X-BUSTER Tech,
revealing a satellite-like behind her then Shion fires her M.W.S. at the
satellite then KOS-MOS starts to charge up then fires at the enemy, frying it.

Shion: "KOS-MOS!"
KOS-MOS: "Yokai desu, Shion." (Understood, Shion.)
Shion/KOS-MOS: "Duo basutaa!" (Duo Buster!)

Description: Shion opens her M.W.S and starts to concentrate(with some symbols
and pentagrams around her) then chaos walks behind Shion(still concentrates),
holding her M.W.S, aims it and fires it causing her to fall down with chaos
kneeling on one foot, supporting her!(whoo-hoo!!~)
Dialogue:
chaos/Shion: "Duo superu rei!" (Duo Spell Ray!)

Description: Shion rushes at the enemy, sending an upward slash then Jin rushes
also, dealing a mid slash and Shion does an upward slash again then Jin does an
overhead slash. Then both of them performs a cross slash-like and a cool scene
appears where both of them facing behind, cherry blossoms(or Sakura) flying,
a circle of bonfire and the moon with clouds in it. Everytime they attack the
opponent, a kanji appears(you saw it, right?) in it and I found 9 of them. I'm
not sure of the romajis but I'll try to double check it again.
1st Kanji: Nosoritsu

5th Kanji: Mina

Description: chaos and Jr. facing behind first then flies in the air, both of
the creating an aura sphere and chaos flies down while Jr. lightly touches the
sphere downward to the enemy and creates a crest on the ground (the crest is
somewhat similar to Cardcaptor Sakura, if you watch the Purachina OP, you'll
see what I mean).
Dialogue:
chaos/Jr.: "Erementaru nokutaan!" (Elemental Nocturne!)

Physical Hit damage and causes L Slow for 5 turns
Gravity Fist (US)

Description: Shion and KOS-MOS' fists charges up then punches it to their fists,
creating a gravity ball and roundhouse kicks it to the enemy then they will run
in slow-motion(ala Matrix style) into the air and they will do an aerial punch
then explodes to the enemy and we will see KOS-MOS carrying Shion(sefu! ^^). The
roundhouse kick part rocks!
Dialogue:
Shion: "KOS-MOS!"
KOS-MOS: "Yokai desu, Shion." (Understood, Shion.)
Shion/KOS-MOS: "Gurabiti bonbaa!" (Gravity Bomber!)

Description: I'll skip the first part. Both of them will do a sword dance
(Shion does the Chinese dance! whoo hoo!) then they will jump in the air,
crossing their katanas then a romaji of the tech appears the a fire phoenix
fires down to the enemy. I admit it, Shion should use her katana as a weapon
rather than her M.W.S. *scrathes head*
Dialogue:
Jin: "Ikimasuyo, Shion!" (Bring it on, Shion!)
Shion: "Iiwayo, ni-san!" (Not a problem, brother!)
Shion/Jin: "Hououaikiken!" (Phoenix Love Aura Sword!)

Description: chaos appears and a huge pillar of ice beside him then he fires
an ice arrow, embedding it in Jin's katana then he does an overhead slash,
cutting the huge ice and the enemy.

Jin: "Hyoumonken!" (Ice Crest Sword!)

Description: chaos is kneeling, telling M.O.M.O. to believe in her power and
she agrees to chaos, he stands up and a symbol (or pentagram) appears on the
ground. The scene is at night, along with some fireflies (or Hotaru in Japanese)
in it. Very nice scene.
Dialogue:
chaos: "Omoi no chikara ni, Momo-chan." (Have faith in your power, Momo.)
M.O.M.O.: "Hai, chaos-san!" (Yes, chaos!)
chaos/M.O.M.O.: "Raifu wan!" (Life One!)

Description: Jr flips a coin then M.O.M.O. hits it then the scene changes and
the bird flies while it cries. Jr. grabs the coin and hits it in the ground,
kneeling with M.O.M.O. and three large chains fires upward behind then brings
down a huge tower-like structure, crushing it to the enemy.
Dialogue:
Jr.: "Ikuze, Momo!" (Let's go, Momo!)
M.O.M.O.: "Hai, Jr-san!" (Sure, Jr.!)
Jr./M.O.M.O.: "Shiruba dueto!" (Silver Duet!)

Description: Ziggy is facing behind then faces behind M.O.M.O, saying that he
is counting at her then she fires three arrows simultaneously then you will
hear a "poink" sound three times then three big meteor appears. Ziggy will
then sigh (a small sweatdrop appears beside his right cheek) and he'll do a
soccer kick on the first two meteors until at the third meteor, he will hit
himself and a negative image of Ziggy will appear, hitting the opponent with
the meteor.
Dialogue:
Ziggy: "Tanondazo, Momo!" (I'm counting on you, Momo!)
M.O.M.O.: "Hai!" (Yes!)
Ziggy: "Jigi sutoraiku!" (Ziggy Strike!) *screams like either Chinese or Maito
Gai of Naruto(besides, HE IS the voice of Maito Gai!)*

Version 0.3 (August 12, 2005)
Started making this Guide. Added some Dialogues of the Double Techs and some
descriptions.
Version 0.5 (August 14, 2005)
Continued making the Guide and I'm so tired after the Party I didn't enjoyed
it that much. Finished the description of Duo Buster and corrected some errors
and grammar checking in the Dialogues.
Version 0.7 (August 14, 2005)
Typed the rest of the Techs. Added their effects and I saw the romajis of the
Eiyukenbu Tech but problem is I didn't see it clearly. Guess I'll try to see it
again....Semester Break in October! T_T
Version 0.9 (August 20, 2005)
Finished the other missing descriptions but the hardest part is that I can't
describe (or descript) the Dancing Rondo tech, I didn't study dancing lessons
that much in my past school years....gomenasai!! T_T

Added the description of the Life One tech. Still can't describe the Dancing
Rondo tech. The Guide is finished but incomplete.
