This is the info on the game as I played it.
Game:     Wild Arms 4
Console:  PS/2
Region:   NTSC U/C

As you can see, I played the US version of the game, so everything I say is
as I experienced it from that version. I think this FAQ should work with 
other versions, but it came to my attention that some portions of the 
Japanese game have been removed in the US version. So I cannot include that
in my FAQ. Thank you.

Just playing games with a walkthrough is no fun. That removes every bit of
challenge that a game has to offer. But it's completely understandable that
there are places in which you can get absolutely stuck with no means of 
getting further. And that's where I come in with this FAQ. This FAQ has 
been written that way that you have the possibility to only use it when you
get stuck. Therefore it may be possible that I sometimes refer to parts
earlier in the FAQ, for those who started to use this FAQ lateron. :)

Therefore I gave all sections an IDX code. They are all in the index.
Use them in a search to get the right spot of this FAQ. (Ctrl-F in
Windows/Linux browsers, Apple-F in MacOS).

In the relugar parts you'll see numbers at the start of every part.
Those are the area numbers. All towns and dungeons are divided in areas
and they all got a number. That number is imprinted in the upper left corner
of the screen. That'll also make your search easier. Please note that some
dungeons have multiple parts and restart the numbering.
Sometimes I note it as "WM:" that means "Worldmap".

Some parts are marked with a "#". That means you can do something that does
not get you further in the story. That is only referring to some gameplay 
hints that are noteworthy.

At the start of every dungeon and boss fight you may get the next bar:

That indicates the level I was on when taking on that dungeon/boss.
The first number indicates my normal level, the second one my class level.
These are by NO WAY recommendations. Inexperienced RPG players could use
that data in order to see what good levels may be. It MAY be possible that
I write down the name of a skill/move/spell below the characters name.
That means that your character MUST have that move to stand a chance (at 
least in the technique I'll describe).

This bar tells you which enemies I encountered in that specific dungeon.
You can look in the enemy chart if you want to know what to expect.

All dungeons have black savespots. I like to call them "cursed savespots".
You can often "purify" them. In "Cross-Over" dungeons that by selecting 
"Break" at the savespot and kill the monsters you get. In other dungeons
it's mostly a task to be done. In that case I'll refer to the room number
where the task is to be done. Read there for more information.
When a savespot is purified you can turn the Random Encounters off.
I often recommend not to do that, unless I state otherwise, or unless there's
a case of emergency.

First about the battle engine. No need to fully explain it, as the game
explains it pretty well by itself, but a few things must be taken in order.
 - Yulie's summons are dependant on the HEX she's in. She'll summon the 
   guardian of that specific element the HEX has. If the HEX has no 
   element, she'll summon the healing guardian. In very much cases, the 
   right summon is the key to success. So make sure Yulie is on the right
   spot before summonning a guardian.
 - When everyone is in the same HEX, they'll all be target of an attack.
   So seperation can save lives. But the same goes for healing spells.
   when healing all in the same HEX will be healed. So wheter to spread out
   or to stay close is a very important choice.
 - After random encounter battles a chest will appear in a random HEX.
   In there's a character in it you'll get the price. If not the price will
   slip away. To reduce the chance of missing the price, have all characters
   to stand in a diffrent HEX. 

Then about the power-up system. Unlinke other RPG games, it makes NO SENSE
AT ALL to level up like crazy. NONE of your statistics will increase. Only
class levels will increase stats and only a little. Levelling up will
get you moves and skills. And also CG points. When you are too low in level
for a move you can use these points to tweak a few levels. Points that are
no longer needed because you got the level at last will be returned.
What you must really worry about is that you have always the moves/skills
you need for the task ahead. When you don't need those, then don't bother.

Jude
----
Jude is the main character. His strength is his ARM. He's a pretty 
all-round character. His mystic force can be very handy.
He's also the strongest in defensive capabilities.

Yulie
-----
Yulie is your white mage. Use her for healing. She's also your summoner.
Yulie's awfully weak and easily killed. Learn to live with that.

Arnaud
------
Arnaud is your black mage. He can use black magic to powerdown the enemy
or use the element against the enemy of the HEX he's standing in.

Raquel
------
Raquel is your powerhouse. Her defensive capabilities are not super,
but her attacks are the strongest of all, and she can kill a lot of 
enemies in one strike. Her downside is that she's awfully slow.

There are two parts in the game that his guy joins you. (If you
don't want the game to be spoiled, don't read the sections he's in unless
you are stuck in those parts). He's an ARMS user like Jude, and his attacks
are almost as strong as Raquel's. He's also able to heal people.

You'll get various tools to help you in your quest. You can only take ONE
tool at a time, and you cannot take it out of the dungeon. You can take it
to other rooms though. With a tool you cannot jump, so if you got to jump
you gotta drop it. That explains it all I guess.
Here's a list of what tools do

   Sword: You got a normal sword and the wooden sword. They both work the
          same. You can swing it in order to hit some targets. Smashing it
          against a wall in succession will break it. Then you can throw it
          away in order to hit something.
   Crate: You can throw it. It'll break, but you can hit some targets with
          it.
    Bomb: You can light them, then either drop or throw them to blow things
          up. You can cause a heavier blow by making a bomb explode near 
          other bombs.
   Wonder Can be set on fire. And you can throw it.
     pot:
Explosives: Pick them up and throw them to blow things up.
    Shield: Face the source of danger hold your shield to be protected.
 W Crystal: When thrown in to fire or water they take over its properties.
            Then they can be used to light all brazier, or the put them
            all out.
Mist Cloak: Hold the button to wear it. While you wear it you can go through
            gratings and nets etc.

                     again, and Jude will jump while he's still in the air.
Cross-Over Dungeon   There are lots of them. A dungeon without serious 
                     puzzles. Just follow the road to complete it. The Break
                     here is mostly done by selecting "Break" at the savespot
                     and defeat some enemies.
                     You can recognize them easily by the fact that the music
                     is the same as on the worldmap.

   3: Exit south.
   1: Enter your house. It right next to the strange machine.
      After your mother scolded you for skipping class, exit west.
   2: Enter the building. It's Henri's Dojo. He's not there. Exit East.
#  2: You can open the sphere to get the sword to practise tool usage, but
#     it won't really help. It only gives a view on how tools work.
   1: Exit East

   1: The game will explain how jumping works. Just follow the path to
      exit east.
   2: Jump over the gap. And keep walking

You'll discover a millitairy camp. Time to investigate.

   1: Make sure the soldiers won't see you. Jump ONE platform higher and
      exit east.
   2: Use the breakpoint if you want and go south. Follow the road east.
      Jump on the container and drop off on the other side. Go around the 
      soldiers via the north side of the strange machine. and jump on the 
      crates on the east side. go to the upper crate. Jump off, and make
      sure you land BEHIND the guard (double jump can do that) and exit
      north.
   5: Stay behind the guard and don't move. As soon as he's far away enough
      hit the stairs. You can use the pillars to make sure he won't find you
      and it'll help if the guard looks to the west when you try to hit the
      stairs. Up the stairs exit north.
   6: You'll meet Yulie. She's a prisoner, but you cannot help her at this 
      moment. Exit down the stairs on the east.
   7: Exit south  
   8: Open both chests. They contain keys and a weapon Jude can use.
      Exit north
   7: Bad luck. Soldiers blocked your path.
      Go North, and examine it. Jude will use his sword to open it.
   9: Sneaking. At every opening guarded by solders, dash so they won't
      see you. You can do that by kneeling and the directional buttons.
  10: Slide under the metal crate, jump to the higher levels, and jump
      over the platforms. To make your last jump make a double jump, but
      with with the jump-in-the-air half a second to do this succesfully.
      practise makes perfect. Slide under the crate and jump to the exit.
      Open the door to exit.
  11: Go downstairs and examine the door. You'll meet Arnaud and he'll join
      you. Go back to area 10.
  10: You can take the shortest way down. Fall into the nearest gap :)
      Exit east.
   9: Just go. The guards are gone now.
   7: Go upstairs and exit.
   6: Yulie's gone. Don't worry, you'll catch her later. Exit south.
   5: Exit south.
#  4: You can enter the tents for some valuable treasure.
   4: Go west, and double-jump to reach the save spot. Save if you want
      and exit west.
   1: Exit south.

   3: As you walk in you'll get your first battle. Read the game's 
      instructions and begin. This first time I'll help you. Move Jude
      forward and let Arnaud cast a blast. Jude can then chop them out.
      The rest of the random battles are for you to find out :)
      I'll make a list of them so doncha worry.
      Okay, contine back all the way back to the village. Should be no
      trouble.
      Upon arrival in the village a boss battle will start.

| You start with 4 novice troopers. Jude's gun works wonders to get        |
| rid of those. Not really a problem. When they are dead, Tony comes in    |
| using some tank-like device on you. Using Arnaud's blast from an         |
| elemental Hex won't make sense. He's shielded against that. Just go all  |
| out and heal in time. This battle ain't that hard                        |

   2: Go all the way west. At the end of the road. Jump onto the hill.
      (Use the bench to get higher, then double-jump). Follow the road
      to the escape pods.

This is what I call a cross-over dungeon. You just need to get past it.
But there are no interesting puzzles or whatever. If you just follow the
road you mostly get there. If you find a cursed save-point there you can
mostly break the curse with fighting, but beware, those battles can be
hard. Having said that go for it, and in these kinds of dungeons I'll
only note areas that have something you need to watch out for. Seldom 
happens though.
   2: Okay. Here you'll learn about accelerator. Activate it and run
      over the bridge. Then you can jump to get over the house. No prob.

   1: Upon arrival you might want to look for the savespot first. Follow
      the road. After you passed the sideway go up the stairs and go south
      a little. Save if you like, and jump down from the savespot to the
      south. Open the door. You'll get a cutscene in which you'll meet
      Raquel who joins the party. After that the game will tell you how
      the growth customization system works. I've also told about that
      in the introduction section, the game will tell you about it once
      again. Read it well, it's extremely important if you want to stand
      a chance against the bosses that are to come.
      Leave the city and the world map will be explained to you.
      Go to Culane Temple.

   1: Exit North
   2: Just follow the road.
   3: The system will now explain the tool system. Open the photosphere and
      obtain the tool sword. Go up the stairs and hit the blue target.
      Exit north.
   4: Hit the target to form a bridge. Go up the stairs and hit the other
      target to make a second bridge. Exit NW.
   5: Drop the sword and jump to the higher platforms. Pick up the crates
      and throw them to the targets (aim well). Exit East.
   6: Jump your way over the rocks. Beware they'll slowly sink as you step
      on them. No serious trouble. If you are a coward you can use 
      accelarator.
      after the sinking parts jump you way up. Exit East.
   7: Step on the switch and activate accelarator immediatly and follow the
      road that formed. When you run out of time the road will disappear so
      be quick.
#     Open the chest for an alter part. You can use them to upgrade you arm
#     at savespots in cities.
      Jump off to the south. Exit South.     
   8: Exit SW
   9: Get the sword from the photosphere. Activate accelerator and hit
      all the targets as quickly as you can. When the door is open, drop
      your sword and exit west.
   2: Fight Trask. (I refuse to call it Taraque).

| Trask is poisonous. He can poison HEXes. You can avoid this by simply    |
| moving to another HEX. Using an antidote also works wonders. Problem is  |
| that he keeps on using poison (as Trask always did). Its defenses are    |
| top, so most of your physical attacks are halved. Only Raquel can        |
| penetrate its defenses. However if Arnaud casts fragile on it you can    |
| deal with that. Go for it!                                               |

   2: After the battle the cursed savepoint will be purified. This means
      you can turn off the random encounters. I recommend never to turn off
      random encounters unless I say otherwise. For emergency situations it
      can be handy though. Many dungeons have a task to "purify" or "break"
      a black savespot. Cross-Over dungeons have some enemies tied to it.
      Be warned that those enemies can be HARD!
      Exit North.
   6: Exit North.
  10: Exit West
  11: Jump over the gap and jump onto the wall. 
#     Jump off west and open the chest for 2x Revive Fruit.
#     Jump back on the wall.
      Jump onto the upper platform. Double-Jump over the gap.
      Exit East.
  10: Step on the switch. Get close to the exit and drop off south.
      Exit East.
  12: Grab a crate, get on the stairs, aim well to hit the target. 
      Exit NW
  10: Step on the switch. Go close to the exit and drop off south.
      Exit North. (If not possible check if you did the puzzles
      as well on the west as on the right) :)
  13: After the cutscene prepare for a boss battle, and examine the flowers
      on the SE. Soldiers will fall in and you'll get another boss fight.

| Jude and Raquel should be able to know out the troopers in one blow.     |
| Tony has the ability to neutralize attacks and protect the soldiers in   |
| the same HEX. Getting rid of all soldiers does a great deal. Tony        | 
| has stron attacks. You may need Yulie for healing. Watch your HP and     |
| you'll be fine. Keep Yulie out of his range though                       |

   1: Go to the save spot. Save if you want and use its new feature "meeting"
      Select to have a meeting with the entire party. Leave the city.
  WM: Okay, first you'll witness a Brionac meeting that is being hold.
#     After that you can go to the forsaken lands to break the savespot.
#     for whatever purpose.
  WM: Whenever you're ready go to the Celesti Ruins.

   1: Exit West
   2: Drop off west, go south and jump over the gap.
      Take a bomb, and use it to destroy the rubble.
#     You can use the bombs on the higher platform to blow up the rubble
#     covering a chest. It contains a badge, so it is worth the trouble.
      Take the second bomb and go back to area 1.
   1: Go to the door NE and blow up the rubble in front of it.
      Exit NE
   3: You'll see a blue chest. You can only open blue chests if you
      sacrifice a duplicator. Those who played the previous WA games
      know the trade. 
      Jump up, go east and exit east.
   5: The ladders will now be explained. Go down. Pick up a bomb, and 
      blow up the rubble covering the chest on the west. Open the chest

      You need to bomb the rubble in the second west path to clear

      When you're done the path you clear is the exit you gotta take.
   8: Take a bomb. Light it and throw it at the rubble, and activate
      accelerator immediatly when throwing, and cross the bridge as

   9: Just a jump 'n run game. No explanation required. Exit East.
  10: Jump up to the East. Exit East (You can NOT open the chest).
# 11: Grab a bomb and exit west
# 10: Bomb the chest to claim the prize. It contains a bad omen.

  11: Gather the three bombs close the the statue, and light one to make
      them all go off at once. That will destroy the statue.

| This is the first boss that will cause you serious problem, and when     |
| not properly prepared your chances of victory are nill. His attacks do   |
| a lot of damage, and he's terribly quick. If you let Arnaud slow him     |
| down, you create yourself a chance. Don't forget to do that again when   |
| the effect wears of, or Jeremy leaves the slowed down HEX                |
| Power should come from Raquel and Jude. And make sure Yulie is not in a  |
| HEX next to Jeremy or in one line with Jeremy. She won't survive his     |
| attacks. If you can occupy all HEXes around him, you created yourself    |
| another trump card. Then he can't leave the HEX you just cursed. *IF*    |
| Raquel has "Poison Bite" now is a good time to use it. That will make    |
| this battle much shorter. If you have done all I said, then your chances |
| to victory are great.                                                    |

# Before you begin. This is the first dungeon of 3 in succession. Once you

   1: Go upstairs, exit north.
   3: Exit NE
   4: Go through the corridor.
      Stomp the switch (Jump and press the kneel button)
      Exit North.
   5: Examine the terminal on the left. The left brazier will be burning.
   5: Go to the east, and pick up the staff from the left photosphere.
#  5: Use the staff on the burning brazier and it will burn. Go all the
#     way back to room 1.
#  1: Use the staff to ignite the brazier to open the east door. Exit east.
#  2: The red thing is a boss seal. An optional boss is sealed in that.
#     Leave it alone for now. The duplicator chest has an "Extra Challenge"
#     That's part of the ROM sidequest which comes later. The other contains
#     a badge. "Artic Blade".
#     Now go all the way back to room 5, and pick up the staff.
   5: Use the staff on the buring brazier, and light the other brazier with
      your staff.
      Exit North.
   6: Follow the corridor and exit North.
   7: Use your staff to light the braziers. (Go back for the burning staff
      in room 5 if you dropped it).
      Drop the staff, jump to the NE platform and exit east.
   8: Go to the most east crate, and stomp you way down.
      Jump over the obstacle and exit east.
   9: Drop off. Exit South.
   6: Follow the corridor and meet a boss.

| gives the worst problems. Make Yulie out of its side, and attack it      |

  10: Behind the crates are three switches. If you stomp them all you'll

| setback is that he can cancel your moves. Slow him down. If you are able |

    1: Ok, now there's no way back. This dungeon and the next must be done
       in succession. Save if you need to and go east. Climb the pipe and
       jump off east exit east.
    2: You'll discover you are in a flying aircraft. No matter. Be careful
       now. Because of rotten camera work, you can fall off easily.
       Cross the north bridge and exit east.
    3: Drop off east. Pull/push a crate to the east. Jump on it, and jump
       to the eastern platform from there. Drop off east. Exit North.
    4: Just go all the way down. (Don't think you can shortcut by jumping
       between the platforms). Exit East.
    5: Jump over and get into the pipes, go east by jumping from pipe to
       pipe. Jump to the eastern platform from the last pipe. Drop off east
       Get in one of the pipes, and jump to the northern platform.
       Exit East.
    6: Jump all the way up. Stomp the button and jump all the way up.
       You may need accelerator as the time is short. And then the same
       story. After that jump to the western platform, stomp the button
       for another session.
       If you though you were through a 4th session is there, well,
       you know the trade by now. no?
       When you are all the way east, wait until the time is over and
       exit east.
    7: Jump into the pipe. Move east and drop off.
       Jump into the east pipe. Climb and jump to the east pipe.
       Descend, move most east and drop to the lower pipe.
       Descend and drop again.
       Move east, jump into the pipe, climb and jump again.
       Double jump to the east.
       Descend ONCE.
       Drop and MOVE EAST WHILE FALLING!
       Jump into the east piple, climb.
       Jump east
       Move all the way up.
       Go over the obstacle, and drop down
       Exit East
    8: Semiliar to what you had in room 6. No explanation need I suppose.
       From there get into the pipes. Go west and move up through the pipes.
       Get on the platform and get into the eastern pipes.
       Go over the obstacle to the west and go down.
       Another accelerator-jump-puzzle to reach the exit.

      You'll have to jump from one pipe to another while climbing up.

      You are now at the bridge. Examine the steering equipment for a
      cutscene. Go back to room 11.

| This sucker is a big disappointment, trust me. just destroy the obstacle |
| in the center to begin with. Having Arnaud to slow him down makes this   |
| fight even easier. Yulie is killed easily by him, but then again, who    |
| can't kill Yulie without even trying? Ocasionally you attacks may be     |
| completely nullified, still it's nothing to seriously worry about. Just  |
| make sure you got enough HP.                                             |
| When you deal the lethal blow he'll put your HP to 1, but that means     |
| nothing. After all after every battle (including this one) your HP is    |
| completely restored                                                      |

Please note, you get in the same room number more than once in nearly
ALL room numbers. So don't let that confuse ya when using this FAQ for this
section.

   1: Save if you need and go for it.
      The crystals you see are exits.
      Exit NE.
   2: Go to the North East follow the road (by jumping). When you cannot
      go further. Exit West.
   3: Jump over the moving platforms to make you way west. (be patient)
   4: Make your way down. Go west. And get on the crane. And keep going west.
      Jump on the switch to make a bridge to the exit. Go all the way east
      now, and use that exit.
   3: Jump 'n run to the east. Jump off east at the end, and take the lower
      platform west. (Tricky)
      Now jump and run to the west. Beware. Some moving parts will really
      make this difficult. Exit west
   4: Go west over the aeroplane and jump off south at the end.
      Go South, jump on the platform and go west. Keep going west and
      activate the switch. No go east and take the path to the North.
      And follow it to the west. Jump onto the bridge. And jump to the exit.
      Exit West
   5: Go west all the way, jumping over the obstacles. You'll get to fight
      some critters. Bah, you already know those guys. You are on the wind
      HEX (at least I was), so let Yulie summon and it's over.
   6: Jump onto the planewing north. Go to the switch and activate it.
      Now go all the way back to your starting point.
      Go all the way west and activate the switch.
      Go North over the bridge you formed.
      Follow the road and exit East.
   5: This is a place with stress factor 100! Be warned.
      Use the moving platforms to go east (but watch out for the moving
      obstacles). Once there, jump onto the crate, and go to the
      upper level west.
      Now you come in the wheel puzzle.
      The meaning is clear. Wheel #2 is trapped. On the top is an obstacle
      which forces you to make your way down and jump your way over to 
      wheel #3. This will go wrong many times, so keep your nerves calm.
      Once on wheel #3 just wait till you can jump off west and exit west.
   6: Drop off south and jump onto the plaform south.
      Head west. You can buy stuff from the shop box and save (recommended)
      Exit West
   7: Go South and fight Belial.

| This fight will basically take forever. Belial shields herself with a    |
| Distortion Orb. As long as that Orb ain't destroyed you cannot hurt her  |
| Poison does hurt her. Let Arnaud shut the HEX and let Raquel Poison it   |
| Now focus on survival (and poisoning/shutting again when it wears off)   |
| and you can win. Now beware that she can remove your characters from the |
| game for a random ammount of turns. Her "Agony Effect" is harmful, but   |
| easily survived. Watch you HP. Use poison and shut out, and you win      |
| Be warned that it may be possible that Arnaud's spells are ineffective.  |
| You can also lock her in by standin all around her, so there no way for  |
| her to move.                                                             |

Basically a Cross-Over Dungeon. Just following the road to the east. Ain't
much more to this place. Halfaway you'll have some scenario in which you
meet Gawn. After that scenario, it's still going east and nothing else.
At the end of this dungeon you'll see a man incouncious. Examine him.
When you are on the world map, go to Guara Bobelo (ain't much else to go
to, is there?)

This town, has the ROM sidequest, and also has the Battle Arena. Heh, Wild
Arms wouldn't be the same without it, eh. If you want to enter the Arena
is up to you, but the entrance fee is pretty expensive, not to mention that
the weakest beast you can encounter there is level 50. 

   1: Go all the way east and take the elevator down. Go all the way
      west.
#     Jump in the net west of the gate you pass trough and make your way up.
#     Do that again. No go all the way east. Enter the house to meet a 
#     computergame freak. That will activate the ROM sidequest.
#     Each time you find a ROM you can come back to play. The game is nice,
#     it's a Super Mario clone. The controls are the same as normal.
#     So try it!
#     When you are done playing go back down to the gate
      Exit North.
   2: Cross the bridge NE. Go North and go up the stairs.
      Exit North (near the savespot).
   3: Follow the road, and the hospital is on the leftside (near the arena)
      Enter and watch the scenario.
      After you're done, it's time to seek out Gawn in the pub.
      Go south, follow the road and exit south. 
   2: The pub is directly to the west. Enter it to find Gawn.
      Now it's time to leave town. Shortest way is to go to the Arena (3)
      and take one of the ways that either left or right from the entrance 
      of it.

| How nice. A boss to start a dungeon. It's weak to wind, but you got no   |
| wind HEX, so you cannot do much with that information. Make sure that he |
| cannot attack Yulie. Well, he still has spells, but if normal attacks    |
| are out of his range a lot is won. He's also very fast. Slowing it down  |
| ain't such a bad idea. Don't wast time one stealing. This guy has not    |
| a single thing to steal. After slowing it down, there should be no       |
| serious trouble.                                                         |

   1: Well, after that boss for an introduction go up the stairs. and take
      the exit.
   2: Exit West
   3: Jump over the gap. Pick up the sword and hit the target. Drop the
      Sword and double-jump over the west gap. Jump over the other gap

      Take the sword and drop off south. Exit East.
   2: Hit the target. Exit East. 
   4: Drop the sword and stomp the switch. Go back.
   2: Jump over the gap to exit north.
      Follow the road exit east
   5: You can take the sissy road via the north, or the challenge route   
      straight forward to the east. That's up to you. Exit east.
   6: Follow the way south. Jump on the platform, get the sword and hit
      the target all the way north.
   8: Claim the treasures and go back.
   6: Go all the way south. Pick up the sword and take the southern exit
      West
   4: Step on the lower moving platform and go off it south. Go up the 
      stairs, drop off east, exit south.
   7: Hit the target. Drop the sword and drop off east. Jump over the gap
      and stomp the switch. Get on the moving platform. NE is a pipe.
      Jump onto that pipe. Jump off north.
      When you play a game+ (or with WAF convertation data you can find

      extremely difficult and be prepared that it can and will go wrong
      serveral times. Get all the way on the higher platform north.
      Get a jar (wonder pot)
      Drop off south with accelerator active. (Or else the jar breaks)
      Set with accelerator the pot in range of the fireballs and drop it.
      The fireballs will set it on fire. 
      If Jude it hit with the jar in his hand it will break, so watch out.
      Now take the fire jar and get out of here. You can use accelerator
      if you like. Be careful and don't rush getting out. Pushing the
      jar is possible. That way you can prevent it being broken.
      If you are out of the line of fire, take the jar and exit East.
  14: Watch the platforms go up. When it comes to a standstil go over it
      (with accelerator if needed).
      You need to drop off. Always remember to use accelerator or the jar
      will break. East East
  13: Throw the jar to the only brazier that isn't burning.
      You'll be attacked by soldiers. Kill them.
      Jump over the gap north, exit north.
  16: Follow the road and jump over the gaps.
      (The 1st one is a double jump, but wait with the 2nd jump a tiny
      bit longer or else you won't make it).
      Exit North to exit the dungeon.

| Well, let's see. Annoying is the fact that he keeps moving you to a      |
| random HEX. But the damage that does is even worse. It can also put you  |
| to sleep. On the bright side. He can be poisoned. That speeds up the     |
| fight. If you watch your HP, he's not that hard                          |

      Go north, but watch out NOT to touch the water showers. 
      And throw it at a brazier. Now the same sequence for the other.

   4: Use the terminal to make the elevator go down

   7: Now you have to work together with Gawn. 
      Stomp the button.
      Gawn will wait for your action.
      Go East, and step op all the switches.
      Now Gawn will do the same for you.
      Be quick cause the switches Gawn actives work for 
      a limmited time, and he won't do it again.
      Well, you can do the rest without me, right?
      When you reach the stomp switch, wait for Gawn's signal.
      He and you must stomp their button at exactly the same time.
      Go North, Exit North.
   8: Now activate all switches for Gawn. Wait for him, but not too long
      if he falls in the water you must start over.
      Then the stomp together once again.
      Exit North. (WARNING THE CHEST HERE IS A MIMIC!)
   9: Exit North
  10: Jude-Gawn again.
      The trick is the same as in room 8, but now Gawn does the switches
      and you the running. You cannot run straightly. Jumping is required
      to make it!
      (3rd from the right and the last one require a double-jump).
      The Jude-Gawn-Stomp-In-Time-Trick and Exit North.
  11: Turn the wheel counter-clockwise until the door opens.
      Exit North.
  12: Turn the wheel to make the showers move from each other.
      Grab a pot and take it to the burning brazier without touching
      the water, and go back without touching the water and throw it
      to the other brazier to light it. That purifies the savespot.
      Save if you need and exit north.
  13: Use the terminal to activate the elevator. It will get stuck.
  14: Gawn will help. Stomp right on him, and he'll throw you up.
      Use the directional buttons to go to the exit.
      Exit North.

This is another cross-over dungeon, so nothing special here. Doesn't mean
this dungeon ain't important. Because here you'll meet Mr. H. for the first
time. I call him that in order not to spoil the story. You'll meet Mr. H.
more times in the story. In fact his part will be VERY important.

This dungeon = Pain. Much jump 'n run work that easily goes wrong. But most
of all, I got the hunch that there's more than 1 solution to get past this
which makes it hard to write a good FAQ on this section. What I describe 
here is the road I followed. 
   1: Jump your way up and exit east
   2: Jump over the gap.
      Get on the moving platform. Jump to the northern road.
      Follow the road until the end. Jump onto the moving platform
      and jump off it to the east.
      Exit East
   3: Jump into the net and go all the way east.
#     Climb up and double jump to reach the chest (Gella Card)
      Jump into the 2nd net and climb up.
      Watch the moving platform. Drop off on the right time to land on it.
      Go off that platform on the east and exit east
   4: Stomp the switch and the platform your on will start moving.
      After it's done, go east.
      Get into the net to go North, and then go East.
#     You can climb into the net to follow the NW road for a D-Chest.

      Jump into the eastnet and climb up.
      Take the Southern exit East.
   5: Jump 'n run to the east, and destroy the crates with sliding or
      stomping. Exit East.
   6: Just follow the road and exit east.
   7: Jump onto the platforms on your way east. Exit east.
   8: Head east. When you get on the big platform you first got to beat
      a horde of Rat Monkeys. No problem. After that you get a boss.

| her up. Go for the weaker versions first, and then for the big guy. In   |
| spite of Yulie's extreme weakness you should have no more serious        |

After the fight you'll meet Asia and Fiore, but don't worry, you don't have
to fight them yet. You'll fight them later in this dungeon.
   8: Continue going to the east and exit east.
   9: Jump into the net and climb. 
      Don't bother the moving platform with stomp button. It leads to
      an optional boss, but that's not available at this moment.
      Jump to the higher platform and go all the way east.
      Drop off onto the nets to the east.
      Drop off east.
      Continue your way east
      Exit east.
  12: Cross the bridge, but it will colapse as you walk over it.
      Prevent a fall with either jumping or accelerator.
      Jump onto the platform east.
      Take the nothern exit east
  13: Stomp the button and move with the platform east.
      However, jump your way over the obstacles.
  14: Just go all the way east.
      Exit East
  15: Prepare well. When going east you're gonna fight Asia and Fiore.

| First of all, SPREAD OUT OVER OTHER HEXES ASAP! They will always start   |
| with a combo move over the center HEX which damages you for 75% of your  |
| Max HP. After that focus ALL your power over one of the two. Doesn't     |
| matter which one. Once you spreaded the battle is 50% easier, once one   |
| of them is out this battle is 75% easier. Their attacks remain very      |
| strong, though, so WATCH YOUR HP!                                        |

This is another Cross-Over dungeon, so you should have no trouble getting
through. There is something worth mentioning here though. Halfaway you can
find a black chest. You cannot do anything with it now though, but if you 
manage to open all treasure chests in Filgaia it will become an optional
boss. It came to my attention that the chests in Ciel (where you cannot
get anymore) do not count in this sidequest.

   1: Walk to the savespot and go from there in the direction north.
      When you reach the buildings head east, and exit East.
   2: Find Emmet, the station staff member. Talk to him and learn that
      there are no more trains running from here.
      Go back to Area 1 and you'll see Kresnik, or at least, Yulie thinks
      she saw him.
   1: Now leave the city to head to your next destination.

This dungeon has two sections. The east section and the west section.
It doesn't matter in which order you do that. Between the two sections you'll
meet a boss. I'll describe the sections first. Then the boss, then what 
comes after it. (You still follow me?

|   2: Head east and take a bomb. And place it between the two southern    |

|      Some blocks come out of the wall, which will form stairs which will |
|      Disappear way too quickly. Use Accelerator to jump your way up.     |
|      Once up climb the ladder to ext.                                    |
|  11: Follow the corridor                                                 |
|  12: Go to the most east jump-panel, and jump on it. From there move the |
|      two panels above you go get higher, and get into the pipe. Climb.   |
|      and jump on the panel east. Use the panels to go all the way west   |
|      Exit with the ladder.                                               |
|  13: Stomp the switch. Then make you way up. Watch as the blocks appear  |
|      and disappear. Make you way up until you end up in a pipe, climb up |
|      Now follow the eastern way up to the chest. From the pipe go most   |
|      West. Descend. Drop off to the red block (time it right). And make  |
|      your way to the ladder.                                             |
|  14: Another corridor                                                    |
|  15: I hate this room. Jump over the obstacle, slide under the second.   |
|      Jump 'n slide again, and jump on the jump panel, to jump onto the   |
|      2nd. Jump on the one left to you, but that can easily mess up       |
|      If Jude gets smashed to the block above you. Before you make the    |
|      real jump, move him as close to the left as possible.               |

| This beast is based on Yulie's summons. His moves are the same for that  |
| Matter. And thus based on the HEXes he's on. The attack spells are very  |
| strong. You can descide to occupy the elemental HEXes to prevent these   |
| attacks, but that means that his healing will be strong. If you follow   |
| that technique then poisoning his HEX and slowing him down will work out |
| Extra damage and less chances for him to heal. If he did move to an      |
| an elemental HEX, things may get rough. Hoping he'll move or forcing him |
| with Arnaud's "Isolate" may help.                                        |

| Poison does work. Make use of it. He always needs to charge before an    |
| attack so that makes always an extra turn of FREE DAMAGE! Well, let      |
| Yulie Revive the dead when Balgains makes his killer move and go for it  |
| (Don't bother healing lost HP. All attacks are lethal so 1 or 10000 HP   |
| There's absolutely no diffrence in that                                  |

Jude is alone for the time being. But don't worry. There are no random
encounters here, and Arnaud and Raquel will join up soon. You'll have to
deal without Yulie for the time being. She'll be replaced by a guest 
character in the next dungeon  until you get her back some a little later
    1: Go East, and exit East.
    2: (Double) jump you way over the crates. Exit East
    3: Exit East
    4: Drop off south. Take a red crate, take it to the big rock and throw
       the crate to it. It will explode.
       Now pick up a staff and swing it into the white glitter.
       Aim it at the glitter east to teleport (like Virginia's change crest
       (WA3) and Cecilia's change rod (WA-ACF).
       Drop the staff, jump onto the higher platform and exit east.
    5: Turn the left wheel 2x clockwise. Now you can use the blocks at the
       wall to jump your way up. Exit West.
    6: Drop off south.
       Jump over the crates
       Take a red one to blow up the rock west
       Jump over the fire on the west to obtain a shield.
       Face west and block. Hold that button and move south.
       (Jude' will strafe his way south)
       Then go west, face east, and block to pass the other flames.
       Go all the way west, drop the shield, jump onto the west platform
       and exit west.
    3: Make your way west with jumping. Note that some parts are fragile
       and will fall. Be quick.
       Exit West
    7: Jump onto the ramp and jump into the pipe.
       Climb and jump into the next and again and again.
       And again.
       And so all the way up
       On the top go west.
       Exit west
    8: Like the last time you visited room #3. Exit West

Now you'll meet Raquel and Arnaud. They'll join you.

      Jump onto the west platform.
      Take a crate crate and throw it to the rock in the center.
      Pick up a staff and light it in the glitter on the east.
      From there teleport to the west.
      And teleport to the west again.

  10: Go up the ramp and teleport to the north.
      Warp to the west.
#     Drop the staf. Double jump south, claim the treasure.
#     Double jump north, take the staff and light it in the glitter.
      Go North up the ramp and warp to the east.
      Drop the staff. Jump you way op to the east.
      Exit east.
  11: Drop off south.
      Go all the way south, then east then north and take the shield
      Carry it to the crates and drop it.
      Get a red crate and blow up the rock
      Pick up the shield and use it to get past the flames on the eastern
      road.
      Drop the shield, head east, jump up and exit east.
   8: Jump over the gap. Exit east
  12: Jump over the 2 obstacles, and slide under the third.
      All the way west is a ladder. Jump into it and climb up.
      Double-jump over to the west.
      Go west, and jump to the higer platform. Jump into the pipes above
      you and go all the way up.
      Jump into the nets above you.
      Go east and drop off at the end
      Exit east
  13: Just go east, and don't stop moving.
      Exit east.

Now you will see a cutscene with Yulie and Mr. H. 

  14: I could have mistaken this one. Left wheel 1 time clockwise,
      right wheel 5x counter-clockwise. E-mail me with I'm wrong.
      Jump your way up, and  exit east.
  15: Your objective is to get into that fan-tunnel. The only way
      to beat the wind is accelerator. Be sure to pick up all the
      hourglasses, or else you want make it. Get past the fan when
      the broken part passes and exit north.

You'll meet Yulie and Mr. H. 
You'll enter a memory of Ciel.
Talk to everybody.
(Most important is the guy near the tree where Jude began the game).
If you see Mr. H. talk to him.

Now you'll see a familiar face who'll take Mr. H and Yulie and in custody.
Since you are by far outnumbered you have no choice than to turn them in.
Of course, you're gonna save Yulie, so your next target is set.

Talk to him.

When you end up on the worldmap go to BuckEye Station

So leave town.

Basically this is a cross-over dungeon, but keep in mind that you have to
survive without Yulie, which is easier said than done, even though Yulie
dies so easily. She WAS your healer after all. Her summons will be missed.

   1: Jump your way up and go east

      Drop off east, and slide under the rock.
      Keep going east.
      Jump over the crates and go east
      Slide under the obstacle
      Jump your way up.
      Go west
      Jump over the crates and keep goin west
      Slide under the obstacles
      Chest you can slide to but is a mimic. (Has 8 duplicators)
      Jump your way up.
      Go east.
      Jump over the crates onto the upper platform and drop off east.
      Jump over the crates and go east
      Exit east
   2: Go all the way east, and make your way up through the bars.
      Go all the way east.
      Jump over to the rock platform, and jump over the the
      wooden platform to the east.
      Drop off east and save if you need.
      Since this *IS* a cross-over dungeon you can also try to go
      for the break.
      Go East and jump your way up.
      Go east on the 1st possibility and slide under the obstacle

      There's side road to the west you can reach by jumping. Go in there

      Drop off south with ACCELERATOR!
      And throw the crystal into the fire.
      Stand on the wooden platform and use the fire crystal
      Throw the crystal in the northern brazier

      Go upstairs and drop the fire crystal here
      Go downstairs and pick up the wonder crystal.
      Throw it in the water
      Take it upstairs and drop it.
      Pick up the fire crystal and use it.
      Carry the crystal east and drop it
      Pick up the water crystal carry it east and drop it.
      Pick up the crystal (without element and throw it into the western
      brazier. (The door west of you will close)
      Drop the crystal
      Pick up the ice crystal and use it.
      Drop the crystal
      Pick up the fire crystal and carry it east
      Use it.
      Drop it.
      Jump onto the east platform, and exit east.
   7: Turn the wheel clockwise until the gears move.
      Drop off south and exit South
   4: Follow the road, there must be a side way to the east.
      You can reach it by jumping go there, and exit
   5: Go to the the brazier in the center.
      Jump onto the crates, jump onto the east and pick up the wonder crystal
      Drop off onto the crates to the west drop off south and throw the
      crystal into the flames.
      Drop off west (as close to the crates as possible) and follow the
      road.
      Exit north.
   6: If you are NOT here with a burning crystal, go back to room 5
      and read on from there. If you have the crystal then use it.

      Throw the wonder crystal into brazier 9 and drop it.
      Then pick up a wonder crystal from the east and throw it into brazier 4

   7: Turn the wheel clockwise until the gears move.

  14: Follow the way south, there is a way into the NW. Go in there

   1: Follow the road and exit through the sideway
   2: Follow the road, take the first road to the west.
      Follow the road and exit east at the end of the road.
   3: Talk to the man dressed in green. He'll tell you about the auction

   2: Follow the way south, when you are at the end of the road, go North.
      The last building before the exit is a hospital. Enter it.
      Go all the way south after you're done and exit south.
   1: Go to the inn (remember, below the savespot)
      You'll get a meal and a bed for the night for free.
      Rest.
      When you leave, you'll meet Jeremy. He'll make a run for it.

| First of all, don't waste your magic on high damage, cause that doesn't  |
| matter. This is a battle of survival. Each time Gawn takes action he     |
| shoots one of his 12 bullets. When he runs out of ammo you win this      |
| fight. Nearly all his attacks will kill you instantly, so pray that he   |
| he won't attack Yulie so she can revive them all. Whenever you attack    |
| him or try to do something else to him he'll intercept your move cancel  |
| it and shoot you straight dead. It will cost him a bullet though, but    |
| you can better not do it, since you will need all the turns you can get  |

Welcome to Illsveil, the final dungeon of Wild Arms 4. You cannot leave 
until you defeat the first boss of this dungeon, but don't worry, you meet
the first boss in an early stage.
For now the only way is FORWARD

   4: Prepare for a boss fight, and head east

| Farmel will nullify all your attacks, and counter them and kill you. So  |
| that is not the way to go. For the rest she's harmless as she will not   |
| do anything as long as you don't make the first move. As along as she's  |
| on the center HEX you cannot harm her. Use Arnaud's Isolate to move her  |
| to an elemental HEX. Move Yulie to the opposite element and let her      |
| summon. This can take a lot of time, but as as far as I found out the    |
| only way to harm Farmel> When you do this well you can win this without  |
| healing. One word of warning. Farmel might teleport herself back to the  |
| center if you occupy the center HEX (Moving you to her old HEX)          |
| The method is not "waterproof" though. Even summons may get blocked after|
| awhile. Then you can do Blast once. After that summons should work again |
| More investigation about this is still in process                        |

Okay, now you can leave Illsveil. You can also acces the entire worldmap now.
So if there's anything left undone, like fighting in the Arena for example
NOW is the time to do it. I suppose you can do it later, but then you'll 
need to go the entire way back, and this dungeon is huge.

Decided to go on. Ok here goes:
  4: Exit West
  2: Pick up a sword and break it against the wall (3 hits in succesion
     will do that)
     Exit East
  4: Drop off east
     Throw the broken sword again the target
     Walk into the west cell and get the Mist Cloak (Chest=Mimic)
     Use the mist cloak to get in the east cell
     Exit East
  5: Drop the cloak.
     Jump onto the crates
     Slide east, and make a jump while falling (tricky)
     Jump into the bar above.
     Jump all the way up and go west
     Jump to the bar above and climb up.
     Double jump east to get on the platform
     Go all the way east
     Exit North
  6: You can go for the treasure east. Exit North.
  7: What I describe here should be the method, but experience told me
     that it can go wrong quite easily. Luckily it won't cost hurt you
     but it can be hell to pick up your tools again and again.
     Accelerator can be in great help in dodging the moving lasers
     Pick up the sword.
     Use Accelerator to get into the laser field and go east.
     Recharge ACG and use accalerator to go North (this is where it goes
     wrong for me all the time).
     You have to get past these lasers too.
     If it goes wrong, jump on a higher platform and recharge and use 
     accelerator to try to resume.
     Hit the target with your sword and drop it.
     Now go all the way back and do the same with the shield.
     You can block the lasers with the shield, but even that can go wrong.
     The shield doesn't work so well for some reason.
     When you reached the target, face north and use your shield to get
     past these lasers. (That works fine, trust me)
     Drop the shield and stop the switch.
     Exit North
  8: Go upstairs, follow the road and exit west.

   1: Go all the way east and exit east
   2: Walk to the crosspoint.
      Turn right, and go east
      Exit SE
   3: When you pass the black orb you'll loose the accelerator ability
      until you passed the 2nd black orb at the end of this room
      go east, and allow you ACG to be drained.
      Then make your way over the moving boxes. Annoying but not hard.
      You need to go all the way east.
      When you pass the second black orb you'll get your accelerator back
      Exit east
   4: Just follow the road, when you reach the wheel turn it enough to
      create a bridge higher up.
#     The duplicator chest contains a Golden Sun Badge
      Go back up and cross the bridge you created
      Exit NE
   5: Go east and you'll get a mist cloak. Take it.
      Use it to fall through the net
      Go to the other net, but be warned. Just wear the cloak long enough
      to fall through ONE net and not more, or you'll fall into the gorge.
      Use the cloak to go through the net on the east and drop the cloak
      Jump over the gap (DON'T INVESTIGATE WHAT'S DOWN ON THE LOWER LAYER!!)
      Jump your way east and exit east
   6: Follow the road, and you'll meet a boss

| Jude and Kresnik makes only 2 against a very strong guy. That can be a   |
| real pain. Even though Kresnik has healing spells, it's better to let    |
| Jude do the healing with items. Kresnik can use Apoptosis or whatever    |
| That move does most damage and that is what you need to win this fight   |

   6: Exit North
   7: Once again your ACG will be drained.
      You need to go west over moving jumping panels.
      That's pretty easy. The bars at the background mark the spot,
      that way it's quite easy to coordinate your jumps.
      When you made it your ACG will be returned
      Exit West
   8: Follow the road, Exit North
   9: Slide under the wall, and jump in your fall to make it to the platform
      on the west.
      Jump onto the pipes to reach the platform up east
      Jump onto the platform west
      And so on until you reach the top
      Go west and down
      Drop off and watch out not to fall into the gorge.
      Jump onto the platform, with slide part
      Slide west and jump in the fall
      Do it again (much trickier)
      Jump your way up and go west
      Exit West

      Now the game will warp to Yulie, Arnaud and Raquel, and they got to
      fight a boss.

| The Apoptosis weakness will not help you now, but he's weak to water and |
| Yulie starts on a water HEX. That can be an interesting situation. His   |
| Attacks are strong, but most of the time he drains your MP. Let Yulie    |
| summon the water guardian as much as you can afford that and this battle |
| may not last long                                                        |

      After the battle the game will go back to Jude and Kresnik.
      Something will happen that will separate Jude from Kresnik.
      Kresnik will entrust Jude with his ARM and that makes Jude learn the
      move Apoptosis which you may need in the grand finale.
  10: Exit West
  11: Follow the road, and Jude will be reunited with Yulie, Arnaud and
      Raquel.
      Now save if you need. (Which I recommend)
      Jump onto the platform north of the savespot
      and exit from there
  16: Exit North
  17: This path requires a lot of quickness and nerves of steel.
      You can use accelerator if you want but the time is too short,
      and I think it rather ruins than helps here.
      Try to get halfaway (which is quite possible) and use Accelerator
      then. That's what I did.
      Exit North for the grand finale.

| He's not really hard, but rather annoying. Many of your attacks can be   |
| predicted by Lambda which makes them completely nullified. For some      |
| Raquel's attacks were never nullified (at least not to me).              |

Defeating Lambda will purify the savespot and thus you can turn off 
encounters now. I really recommend that you turn off the random encounters
here, dispite my normal policy. Unless of course if you want to train some
more. If you need you may go back to the save spot to recover (The annoying
puzzle of area #17 has been frozen so you can walk over safely now).
When you are ready you can go through the big door North of Lambda for the 
final battle. If you chose that path there is no way back.

| This moves are strong, that's not the worst of your problems. His laser  |
| move will aways be your downfall, and he uses that move very easily.     |
| It causes ALL status changes on all HEXes you occupy. When that happens  |
| You'll always loose the battle as you won't get the time to recover from |
| So you need extremly much luck and most of all SPEED! Do as much damage  |
| as possible, and there are two ways of dealing such damage. Apoptosis    |
| is one, the other is Raquel with the best weapon you can get for her.    |
| Another downfall is his ability to cancel, but that's peanuts in         |
| comparation with that laser move, trust me. When this form is down, the  |

| The singing voice in the background is more annoying than the boss       |
| I tell ya. At first the Arc Impulse will be explained to you, but do not |
| bother right now. First get him weaker. Taking out the sidekicks will    |
| also be a great deal. But that is a piece of cake. Apoptosis will do the |
| most of damage to as well the weapon as the sidekicks. When the weapon   |
| is out of HP it won't die. When that happens you got to get your FP to   |
| the full 100%, get all your party members in the same HEX and perform    |
| the Arc Impulse move to finish this fight for once and for all.          |

  A: Anyone who sends mail like this won't receive a reply. In fact they
     will be banned from ever mailing me again. I can understand you do not
     agree with my technique. There are as many as there are people. I can
     also agree you detected that I made a mistake. Well, I'm human you know.
     Making mistakes is part of my nature, as much as it's yours. If you

     I spend 80% of my free time in RPG (which is quite a lot, trust me),
     and I even develop them myself for a hobby. And about this game,
     trust me when I say that all games I wrote a FAQ about have been played
     multiple times from start to finish, and after I completed the FAQ
     the game is played over and over again and again, so I can upgrade 
     the FAQ if I find something new, to make sure my FAQs offer the best
     you can get. All games I wrote FAQs about are games I'm very devoted
     to. No exceptions. If I am not sure I know the game, I won't write a
     FAQ on it.
