STILL TO COME: -Perfect Release Output -Better Alternative Perfect Release Section =============================================================================== 04 - Introduction [04000] =============================================================================== Well, this is my first time that I wrote a FAQ so be easy on me. I decided to make a Perfect Release FAQ because many still doesn't know the right way of Perfect Releasing. This contains all major information on how to do Perfect Release. Please remember that I will not hide any spoiler. Read this if you are already in the point of Perfect Releasing, in Seraphic Gate perhaps. All the names/terms will be based on American version. Enjoy my FAQ. For comments, suggestion, criticism, send me an e-mail@[email protected] or post in GameFAQs boards. =============================================================================== 05 - Frequently Answered Questions [05000] =============================================================================== Q: What is Perfect Release? A: Perfect Release is the way of releasing your Einherjars with the most preferrable non-unique items. This is possibly done on Seraphic Gate which means that you'll not release any Einherjar during main game. Once you have released an Einherjar they will leave you stat-boosting items. The better the equipment, the better/more the stat-boosting items you will get. Q: Why do we need to Perfect Release? A: The only reason is to have uber stats. Having uber stat can make you to Direct Assault Seraphic Gate Bosses. This is not really required to finish Seraphic Gate but this hastens the cycle. If you think this takes away the thrill better think again. Hunting for the right equipment would be tough and time consuming. Well that's the thrill here. Q: Does Level matters in Perfect Release? A: Nope. Base stats are not significant in perfect releasing, so that means Level also doesn't help anything. Your Einherjar needs only to gain 5 Levels as possible if you'll be releasing him/her. That's the only significance of Level. Q: I've missed some Einherjars and my party is at Level 99. Will that hinder me to release my Einherjars? A: Nope. The highest free level is always at 99. Just make sure that Einherjar is not in your battle party so you can release him/her. Q: It's so hard to hunt. Is there a way to make it easier? A: Check Hints and Tips Section[10000], especially 7777 Trick[10200]. The 7777 Trick will make break items acquirable by 100% chance. =============================================================================== 06 - Perfect Release [06000] =============================================================================== Once you have released an Einherjar, they would leave you some stat-boosting items. The item will depend on Einherjars' equipment. Accessories are not counted. One of the item would be a Gem that boosts 20 points to 2 of your stats. This gem will depend on the what stat is the highest. If ATK is highest, you will get a Rose Gem (+20 STR, +20 DEX) If MAG is highest, you will get an Azure Gem (+20 INT, +20 CON) If RDM is highest, you will get a Jade Gem (+20 AVD, +200 HP) That's not all. You still get some +5 stat-boosting items. This will depend on how much stat the equipment gives. This item is limited to a quantity of 99 which means you would aim for the maximum quantity. The quantity depends on how high your stat is. For example, MAG will be divided by 20. The quotient will be the quantity of the +5 boost. Fencer's Familiarity (+5 STR) = ATK/20 Sorcerer's Savvy (+5 INT) = MAG/10 Archer's Aptitude (+5 DEX) = HIT/5 Thief's Thoughts (+5 AGL) = AVD/10 Warrior's Wits (+5 CON) = RST/5 Ambrosia (+100 HP) = RDM/25 Now what we will aim for is to have 99 stat-boosting items for ATK and MAG as possible. This will all depend in the class because that determines what equipment an Einherjar can equip since the most important factor in Perfect Release is the equipment. Before we can Perfect Release, we should have all the equipments. This is where Item Hunting comes into play. This will surely take hours for you to complete all the required items, so be patient. I'll state all the possible source of an item and how to get it. To start with this, I'll explain the monster types you should encounter, according to me: Walking Monster - the one with 2 legs, walking slowly Floating Monster - the one that looks like Jellyfish, and of course it floats Flying Monster - the one that looks like a bird, winged monster Crawling Monster - the one that looks like a crab, small and crawling These terms will be used in my guide so better know them. My Perfect Release is not based on raising RDM but into raising of other stats. RDM doesn't do much later, AGI and the other statswill do more. Once you got high AGI, you can dodge some attacks of the SG bosses. Even better than Metabolizer + First Aid + Lifeforce Blessing when it comes to Physical attack. It is said it's better to prevent than to cure. I'm not sure about this but I've read that they can evade 50% of the time with high AGI. This also greatly improves soloing. All the hunting strategies below, Section 6[06000] and 7[07000], will ignore the 7777 Trick[10200]. So, don't go telling me to use 7777 Trick[10200] in some part of the stated sections. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 06.10 - Major Perfect Release Equipment [06100] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This contains all equipment that are uniquely equipped to each class. This includes Weapons, Armor, Mage's Headgear. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06.11 - Mage's Perfect Release [06110] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mages are the source of boost in INT. This is one of the 2 important classes that gives a big boost, and also this is the easiest class to release because they're equipment are not so hard to hunt. Perfect Release Equipment: WEAPON - Holy Wand of Telos [06111] HEAD - Mithril Crown [06112] ARMOR - Sylphan Robe [06113] GUARD - Wind Glove [06220] LEG - Red Boots [06230] # of Mages: 7 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEAPON: Holy Wand of Telos MAG (1800 RDM 30 RST 80) [06111] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 5, Boss Room Enemy: Ethereal Queen(Leader Item, Get Item 100%) Just beat Ethereal Queen. You can also use Wand of Apocalypse to hasten all up. For more info, check the Alternative Release Section [07000] to see alternative weapon for Mages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HEAD: Mithril Crown (MAG 80 RDM 40) [06112] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best LOcation: Seraphic Gate Floor 4, Puzzle Room with the Bloody Murderer Enemy: Homonculus Copy (Leader Item; Get Item: 15%) Encounter Type: Walking This is very easy to hunt since Direct Assaulting Homonculus Copy will yield 1 Mithril Crown and if you're a little lucky you'll get 2. Also, you'll only need 4 of these(if you'll not do an Alternative Perfect Release). Homonculus Copy can be encountered by estimately 50% chance. He is located at the first platform at the right, where you need to Photon Transfer him. For easier hunting make sure you can DA him. You can also encounter Homonculus Copy in any walking monster in Floor 4. It's just that he frequently appears on that Puzzle Room. So it would be better to hunt there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Sylphan Robe (AVD 100 RDM 160 RST 80) [06113] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 2, Boss Room Enemy: Odin (Leader Item; Get Item: 100%) Another item very easy to hunt. You'll get some of these in Seraphic Gate but of course you'll need plenty of this. Just go and kill Odin. Direct Assault him if possible to minimize hunting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06.20 - Light Warrior's Perfect Release [06120] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Light Warriors are not-so-hard and not-so-easy to Perfect Release. The hardest part of hunting would be for Ether Crown. This also goes to Heavy Warriors and Archers. Other than that, the weapon will be a less easier than those of the Mages. Light Warriors doesn't contribute much to make god characters since they're best non-unique weapon is not that powerful. Perfect Release Equipment: WEAPON - Helgi's Sword [06121] ARMOR - Infinite Admiration [06122] HEAD - Ether Crown [06210] GUARD - Wind Glove [06220] LEG - Red Boots [06230] # of Light Warriors: 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEAPON: Helgi's Sword (ATK 380) [06121] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Lezard Valeth's Tower, Forest Area(2nd) Enemy: Nymph (Headdress 15%) Encounter Type: Walking This will take some time but not that long. You just need to make that 15% happen four times. It's easy to encounter Nymphs. Use Freya with Crisis Point + Heavenly Punishment. Set Freya with Dismantle and True Seeing, for the equips use 4 Sharpened Spearhead or any accessory for increasing critical rate. Crisis Point will make Freya attack the Nymph's headdress and there will be chances that the headress will not break. If that happened, immediately chain with Heavenly Punishment. After Crisis Point, the Nymph will be lying and its headdress will face Freya. In this way, Freya will only hit the headdress. Just wait for a critical to succeed and wait for Helgi's Sword to drop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Infinite Admiration (RDM 500 RST 100) [06122] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 5, room where you got Demon Sword "Levantine" Enemy: Bahamut (Leader Item, Get Item 15%) Encounter Type: Dragon This is very easy to hunt as long as you can Direct Assault Bahamut. If you can't, better not hunt this yet because you'll only depend to the 15% chance and it's a long way to get to Bahamut. If you're lucky enough, you can get 2 in a battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06.30 - Heavy Warrior's Perfect Release [06130] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heavy Warrior's Perfect Release equipment will be more difficult than the classes above. However, they give strength boost the most. Perfect Release Equipment: WEAPON - Tyrfing [06131] ARMOR - Conqueror's Armor [06132] HEAD - Ether Crown [06210] GUARD - Wind Glove [06220] LEG - Red Boots [06230] # of Heavy Warrior: 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEAPON: Tyrfing (ATK 2200 RDM -500 RST -200) [06131] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 4, room by the left of the Hamster's room where there are 3 flying enemies and 1 crawling Enemy: Tiamat (Leader Item, Get Item 15%) Encounter Type: Crawling Why Tyrfing? This weapon will give you 99 Fencer's Familiarity and that is what we mainly aim for. Sacrificing RDM and RST will be worth it. Another hard hunt. You need to encounter the Crawling enemy in that room to have a chance to encounter Tiamat. Don't worry you can encounter the Crawling enemy as much as you want. Before an attempt to fight Tiamat, set Dragon Killer to your damage-dealer. Also, make sure that you can Direct Assault it in one to two turns. For those who needs 2 turns to Direct Assault Tiamat, here's a little strategy. First, cast Spell Reinforce on your damage dealer(high MAG). Dash at the side or back of Tiamat, so that you can circle around it to recharge AP. Else, just let yourself hit by Tiamat but this may make you not to Direct Assault it. Now attack him. Make sure that Tiamat's HP meter will not pass beyond letter "L" of the phrase "LEADER's HP". If that will closely happen , just skip your Soul Crush. After that, Tiamat will surely attack you. So be prepared he might give you abnormal status. Now attack Tiamat again, but for now do not maximize your combo since this will make the First Orb(meter on the right) to disappear. Soul Crush him to death. There you go, if you're lucky you'll get 2. If you're having problem with the time, just bring "Treasure Blessing" sealstone with you. You can get 4 in one hour or less, normally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Conqueror's Armor (ATK 100 MAG 100 HIT 50 AVD 50 RDM 280 RST 50) [06132] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Crell Monferaigne, Armory Why Conqueror's Armor over Infinite Admiration? Tyrfing has RDM -500 RST -200 that will completely nullify Infinite Admiration. So, we should give RDM up and go for other stats instead. What we mainly aim for is the attack so we can't blame Tyrfing. Conqueror's Armor gives boost to other stats that we can utilize more. Materials: /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Firemouse Fur~ Best Location: Final Tower, First Area Enemy: Elder Bat (Body 40%) Location: Surts Volcano Caverns Enemy: Fire Bat (Body 40%) Lezard Valeth's Tower is the best location since we'll also go here for Helgi's Sword. Pretty easy because it is easily attainable and you'll only need 4. Just whack the bat and you'll get it. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Windswept Tailfeather~ Best Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 3 Enemy: Thunder Bird (Right/Left Tailfeather 15%) Encounter Type: *not sure about this* Location: Forest of Spirits Enemy: Elven Hawk (Right/Left Tailfeather 15%) Location: Yggdrasil Enemy: Hersvelgr (Right/Left Tailfeather 15%) Seraphic Gate gets the Best Location since this will be the dungeon which we will mostly be. Many Thunder Birds appear in Seraphic Gate so this should be the perfect place. Just go behind the bird and whack it. For me, I used Lenneth's Ptero Attack to directly hit the Tailfeather. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Deep Doom~ Best Location: Final Tower, First Area Enemy: Rot Demon (Stomach 40%) Encounter Type: *not sure yet* Location: Hall of Valhalla Enemy: Divine Slave (Lower Left Hand Weapon 60%) Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 5 Enemy: Sword Master (Upper Right Hand Weapon 40%) Encounter Type: Four-armed demon with four swords Lezard Valeth's Tower is the best location since we can "shoot two birds with one stone" while hunting Firemouse Fur. This enemy always appear and the chances are high so this would not be such a problem. I used Heavenly Punishment to hunt for these. Freya is good for kicking those mid part bodies. You can also use Blue Gale + Dismantle on Rufus but I still think Freya with Dismantle and high chance of critical will do more. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Sage Quartz~ Location: Ravine Caverns Enemy: Persistent Pursuer (Upper Left Hand Weapon 60%) Encounter Type: Walking, Four-Armed Demon weilding Four Swords That's the only location. If you don't know how to correctly position your attack, you'll get a hard time hunting one. I'll suggest to use Rufus on this. Set Rufus with Blue Gale + Dismantle + Killing Thorn so that you can instantly break that weapon. Position yourself to the right of the enemy(left-side for the enemy's perspective) and make sure you are 45 degrees with the right side. Why? 45 degrees is the location where the upper left hand weapon is pointing and sticking out. Now attack with Rufus. It will surely break the weapon we're aiming for. That's 60% chance so this will be easy. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Silver Mail~ Location: Crell Monferaigne, Armory Just buy it. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06.14 - Archer's Perfect Release [06140] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a slight easier than those of Heavy Warriors. This class doesn't contribute too much like the Light Warriors. The hardest part of hunting will be for the Ether Crown and the Soothersayer Bow. Again, patience. Perfect Release Equipment: WEAPON - Soothsayer Bow [06141] ARMOR - Sylphan Robe [06142] HEAD - Ether Crown [06210] GUARD - Wind Glove [06220] LEG - Red Boots [06230] # of Archer: 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEAPON: Soothsayer Bow [06141] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 2 Enemy: Ull (Leader Item, Get Item 15%) Encounter Type: Walking Okay this is also a hard one for you have to luckily encounter Ull on walking monster. This is also like how you encounter Tiamat. Be sure you can Direct Assault him, so that you can get at least 1 Soothsayer Bow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Sylphan Robe (AVD 100 RDM 160 RST 80) [06142] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 2, Boss Room Enemy: Odin (Leader Item, Get Item: 100%) Just like the Mage's requirement. Just kill Odin for good. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 06.20 - Minor Perfect Release Equipment [06200] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This contains all equipment that is equipped by more than one class for Perfect Release. This includes headgear, gloves, boots. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HEAD: Ether Crown (MAG 120 RDM 80) [06210] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 5, room after the Sword Master Enemy: Walther and Gyne Encounter Type: Floating This will be the hardest item to hunt. First of all, you need to have a chance to encounter Walther and Gyne. Secondly, the enemy is located best on the room where you need to do a hard jump before reaching it. It is the room behind the Sword Master. Lastly, it's a 15% drop rate, which is low, and you need 13 of these. For the strategy, make sure you have high damage output to hasten the process. Now all you have to do is equip yourself with Ghost Buster before entering any battle. If you have encountered them, silence Gyne and kill him but if you can survive for many turns, silencing Gyne will not be needed. After that, Walther will resurrect Gyne and you should be silencing Gyne again if needed. Repeat the process until you get at least 13 Ether Crown for Perfect Release. This will be very time consuming. Only patience can give you Ether Crown. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GUARD: Wind Glove HIT 20 AVD 20 RDM 35 [06220] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item Location: Crell Monferaigne, Armory Why Wind Gloves? I depend the Perfect Release on other stats over RDM since RDM will be less useful than other stats. It is worth sacrificing RDM to boost other stats. Materials: /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Bat Wing~ Location: Royal Underground Path Monster: Goblin (Wings 20%) Location: Dipan Castle Monster: Goblin (Wings 20%) Location: Kyethya Plains Monster: Goblin (Wings 20%) Location: Chateau Obsession Monster: Trash Demon (Wings 30%) Location: Kyethya Plains Monster: Giant Bat (Right/Left Wing 20%) Location: Surts Volcano Caverns Monster: Fire Bat (Right/Left Wing 20%) Location: Crawsus Forest Ruins Monster: Vampire (Right/Left Wing 15%) As of now, I don't know what's the best location to get it but the best monster to get this from is the Goblin-type monsters. Goblins are those little monsters that always use "Spit Fire". Chateau Obsession maybe the best location there is. To encounter Goblins, attack Walking Monsters. They are not always appearing so have patience. Now my best choice is Lenneth with Ptero Attack. Dash to the rear of Goblin and attack it with Ptero so that the attack will only concentrate on the wings. This will be time consuming since you'll need many of these. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Bone Mace~ Best Location: Dragonscrypt Monster: Coral Green (Right/Left Hand 80%) Encounter Type: Crawling Location: Dipan Castle Monster: Chaos Ooze (Lower Right/Left Arm 60%) Location: Turgen Mine Monster: Clay Man (Upper Right/Left Arm 15%) Location: Audoula Temple on the Lake, Boss Room Monster: Kraken (Right/Left Mouth Tentacle 80%) Location: Crawsus Forest Ruins Monster: Unclean Gathering (Upper Right/Left Shoulder 75%) Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 2 Monster: Demon Flower (Right/Left Hand 45%) The best location to hunt for these is in Dragonscrypt. Coral Green has high drop rate and you can get 2 of it per monster. I chose Dragonscrypt as best location since we will also hunt in Palace of Venerated Dragon. So, we should be passing through Dragonscrypt. Any means of attacking can be used, just make sure you'll be hitting for the hands. Encountering crawling monster will make Coral Green appear by 100% chance, so you'll not have any problems with this. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~Ghibli Scale~ Location: Crawsus Forest Ruins Monster: Bolt Dragon (Right/Left Wing 25%) Encounter Type: Flying Location: Palace of Venerated Dragon Monster: Dragon Bat (Right/Left Wing 25%) Encounter Type: Flying Both location can be used as hunting grounds but they have certain advantages and disadvantages. Dragon Bat doesn't appear that much in Palace of Venerated Dragon but we can utilize the time of hunting Red Boots[06230](to be explained later) to hunt for Ghibli Scale. It's like shooting two birds with one stone since the monster which drops Red Boots[06230] also appears on Flying monsters. In Crawsus Forest Ruins, Flying monsters let Bolt Dragon appear 33% of the time (as I've experienced) making it easier to encounter. Go here after you are tired of hunting in Palace of Venerated Dragon since it's easier here. I find hunting Ghibli Scale hard. I've wasted hours on this before I complete all 20. The monster is very susceptible to attacks and it's flying. You need to hit any wing and pray that a Ghibli Scale will come out. You may use Lenneth's Ptero Attack, just make sure you are exactly at the side of the monster. You can also knock the enemy down and let Rufus, equipped with Blue Gale and Dismantle, use Killing Thorn. I'll assure that you'll be hunting for more than an hour to get all 20, except if you'll be very lucky. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LEG: Red Boots AVD 20 RDM 8 RST 10 [06230] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Palace of Venerated Dragon Monster: Dryad (Lower Body 30%) Encounter Type: Floating, Flying Why Red Boots? I depend the Perfect Release on other stat over RDM since RDM will be less useful than other stats. It is worth sacrificing RDM to boost other stats. Only one monster drops this, so there's no need to choose. Dryad is not always appearing so, again, be patient. Based from my experience, the Poison Room has 2 enemies that you can encounter. Those enemies have a very high chance or maybe always make Dryads appear. So if you are getting tired, try passing the Poison Room. I'm still not 100% sure about that, so don't take my word 100%. Freya is useful on hunting Red Boots. Use Heavenly Punishment on Dryad. The lower body will surely be broken so just wait for a Red Boots to come out. this will be time consuming for you need 20 of them for the Best Equipment. While you're hunting Red Boots, hunt for Ghibli Scales from Dragon Bat as well, to save time. =============================================================================== 07 - Alternative Perfect Release [07000] =============================================================================== This contains all the possible alternative equipment for releasing. This process will be a little flaw. Thus, some said that hastening is worth of sacrificing the big delay on hunting the perfect items. This will include the items worth replacing those for Perfect Release. I will explain this further on the upcoming updates. This will include the evaluation of every item. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.10 - Alternative Weapon [07100] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Holy Wand of Telos <-> Wand of Apocalypse~ Wand of Apocalypse: MAG 1000 RDM 20 RST 40 Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 1, Boss Room Enemy: Gabriela Celesta (Event Item 100%) This will hasten on releasing Mages. Wand of Apocalypse is only RDM 10 RST 40 behind. Both will give 99 Sorcerer's Savvy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.20 - Alternative Armor [07200] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no better equipment to replace the best one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.30 - Alternative Headgear [07300] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ether Crown <-> Mithril Crown If you got tired of hunting for Ether Crown. You can go with Mithril Crown. Mithril Crown is like a weakened version of Ether Crown. Mages are preferrable to use this since their INT is high enough to produce 99 Sorcerer's Savvy but of course if you like the perfect one for Mages, then go for Ether Crown. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.40 - Alternative Guard [07400] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wind Glove <-> Star Guard Star Guard: Location: Seraphic Gate Floor 4, Boss Room Enemy: Freya (Leader Item, Get Item 100%) It's very hard or I may call it time consuming to hunt for Wind Glove so others just go for Star Guards and if they're really excited, they'll even go with Extreme Guard. Star Guard wins over Wind Glove in terms of RDM but remember that Star Guard decreases RST and AVD which will decrease the quantity of other Lesser stat-boost items but will increase the one for RDM. Wind Glove gives an all-around stat and is suitable for Perfect Release. Your choice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07.50 - Alternative Footgear [07500] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red Boots <-> Magic Boots Magic Boots RDM 20 RST 10 Magic Boots: Location: Asgard, Merchant This is like Wind Glove and Star Guard. Red Boots wins over all stats except for RDM. Magic Boots can be easily bought in Asgard, so no problems in hunting. If you don't care about small difference then go for Magic Boots. =============================================================================== 08 - Perfect Release Output [08000] =============================================================================== Not yet released. =============================================================================== 09 - Einherjar List [09000] =============================================================================== In case you have missed some Einherjar, here's a short list. Lost Forest: Mithra (Mage) Royal Underground Passage: <Sylphide, Richelle, Jessica> (Light Warrior) <Roland, Kraad> (Heavy Warrior) Serdberg Mountain Ruins: <Celes, Tyrith> (Light Warrior) <Alm, Wolthar> (Mage) Ancient Forest: <Sha-kon, Chrystie> (Archer) Turgen Mine: <Lylia, Millidia> (Archer) Audoula Temple on the Lake: Khanon (Mage) <Phyress, Ehrde> (Archer) Sahma Desert: <Aaron, Dyn, Zunde> (Heavy Warrior) Surts Volcano caverns: <Arcana, Sophalla> (Archer) <Psoron, Farant> (Mage) Chateau Obsession: Seluvia (Mage) Crawsus Forest Ruins: <Adonis, Falx> (Heavy Warrior) <Fraudir, Circe, Rasheeka> (Light Warrior) Dragonscrypt: <Lydia, Atracia> (Archer) Palace of Venerated Dragon: <Xehnon, Masato> (Mage) <Ehlen, Guilm, Gerald> (Heavy Warrior> <Crescent, Lwyn> (Light Warrior) Skavia Gorge: Aegis (Mage) =============================================================================== 10 - Hints and Tips [10000] =============================================================================== This contains on how to Perfect Release easier. All hints and tips are only optional and it's up to you if you're gonna use it or not. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10.10 - Perfect Breaking [10100] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the famous way on how to break 100% chance. This maybe old but I'll include this in the FAQ. ~SETUP~ Character: Rufus Weapon: Blue Gale(can be bought in Asgard) Skill: Dismantle (Green [Arm + Dark + Strength + Training]) Blue Gale gives a 100% chance critical on your attack and Dismantle breaks a part of the body 100% chance if a critical occured. In this way, you'll be breaking a part by 100% chance also. Remember that this is only applicable to enemies susceptible to Doom(instant kill). This is best use when hunting for items. Remember that this may override all the strategy on item hunting I have stated above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10.20 - 7777 Trick [10200] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The secret on how to make your HP fall to 7777. Having 7777 HP will make you acquire items by 100% chance from Breaking assuring you have equipped Luck Items(eg. Solomon's Ring). I don't get credit for this. ~PREPARATIONS~ Skills: Dismantle (Green [Arm + Dark + Strength + Training]) Desperate Measures (Red [Arm + Darkness + Creation]) Forcefield(5000) (Blue [Body + Healing + Reverse + Creation]) Items: Fairy Tinctures Sealstone: Soul Carver, Sheathed Sword Wrath (optional) Weapon: Blue Gale (Asgard) Holy Sword Ascalon (Red Dragon in Valhalla; Tail 15%) Accessories: Solomon's Ring and other Luck Items that makes you to have higher drop rate. ~PROCESS~ 1. Unequip all equipment or skill that will affect anything on your HP. 2. Make your HP to fall down to 1. Do this with equipping Desperation Skill. 3. Take 6 Fairy Tinctures to make your HP rise to 9001. 4. Hold the Soul Carver Sealstone so that you would take damage over time. If your HP was not altered by anything but the Soul Carver Sealstone, you'll get a 7777 HP. 6. Escape immediatly to prevent taking damage by using Tome of Godspeed. 7. Equip the following: + Force Field(5000) - to prevent from taking damage + Solomon's ring - to make drop rate 100% if HP is of the same digits + Dismantle - to break a part instantly with a critical attack + Blue Gale/Sword of Ascalon - for 100% critical, paired with Dismantle 8. Go in a battle and break some hell. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10.30 - Efficient Perfect Release [10300] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This section will explain how to Perfect Release in the most efficient way that I have thought of. It explains when to Perfect Release and who to Perfect Release. My guide below is not that recommended but it's for you to choose if you're gonna do what I'll state below. 1. Clear Seraphic Gate once. While clearing hunt for at least 1 Mithril Crown [06112]. You only need 1 since it's hard to Direct Assault Homonculus Copy at this time. There will be no releasing yet since we don't have the items for perfect releasing yet. 2. You'll have some Perfect Release Items for at least 2 Mage Einherjars if you have acquired the Sylphan Robe in a Treasure Chest in Seraphic Gate Floor 2. Hunt for 20 Wind Gloves[06220] and 20 Red Boots[06230]. You should hunt for 20 so that you can minimize time. You can also hunt for other equipments, except for Ether Crown, if you wished. 3. Now gear your 2 Mages up. Give them the needed equipments. One should be holding Holy Wand of Telos and Wand of the Apocalypse for the other one. Release 2 of your Mages and give all the spoils to one character. 4. Clear Seraphic Gate 5 times for 5 Sylphan Robe[06113] and 5 Holy Wand of Telos[06111]. You can clear Seraphic Gate less than 5 times assuring that you can Direct Assault Odin to get 2 Sylphan Robe at a time. In that manner, you can lessen the needed Seraphic Gate clears by 1 per Direct Assault on Odin. The lesser the clears, the easier for later hunting. You must release one or 2(if you have Direct Assault'd Odin) of your Mage Einherjar per Seraphic Gate clears. Again, give the spoils to one character. 5. After that, you must have released all the Mage Einherjars in your party. Time to release your Heavy Knights[06130]. You must have 1 Ether Crown in your inventory assuring you got one from a tresure chest in Seraphic Gate Floor 2. Hunt for 4 Conqueror's Armor[06132] if you haven't hunted for it. 6. Now, the Heavy Warriors only lacks Tyrfing[06131] for Perfect Release. Hunt 4 of it. 7. After you've got one, release 1 of your Heavy Warriors immediatly. Continue hunting for the remaining 3 Tyrfing[06131]. 8. We should hunt for 3 Ether Crown[06210] at this point. Remember that you should only hunt for 3 since hunting for Ether Crown will be a tough job and we only need to release the Heavy Warriors. 9. Release the 3 remaining Heavy Warriors. 10. Clear Seraphic Gate until you get the Angel Slayer. You need not to release the Archers and Light Warriors yet since they only give small boost for ATK or MAG. Hunting for many Ether Crown will not be worth it yet. 11. Hunt for 4 Helgi's Sword[06121], 4 Infinite Admiration[06122], 4 Soothsayer Bow[06141], and 9 Ether Crown[06210]. You can get Infinite Admiration and Ether Crown easily since you can finish those monsters with the Angel Slayer for 1 turn making you acquire 2 at a time(Ether Crown not included). 12. Release all the remaining Einherjars. 13. Hunt Infinite Admiration[06122] and Ether Crown[06210] for your characters to maximize their power. 14. Go and pawn. You are now a god. =============================================================================== 11 - Credits [11000] =============================================================================== Kouli - for his walkthrough, enemy drops, and info on Perfect Release Xerain - for the basic info on Perfect Release tri-Ace Fanboy - for pointing out that base stats doesn't matter in Perfect Release - for providing Soothsayer Bow's stats crate3333 - for providing additional information - for providing some equipment stats - for naming Tome of Godspeed Chibihead - for providing some equipment stats Eclesis - for the Einherjar List chukintat - for 7777 Trick madsharkk - for naming Soul Carver Sealstone GameFAQs Community - for everything For those who aren't specially mentioned that helped me.
