                                 INTRODUCTION
                               ----------------
===============================================================================

Hello and welcome to the Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines FAQ/Walkthrough.
This guide will provide you with a full walkthrough from beginning to end,
an overview of how to play the game and lists of weapons and unlockables. I
hope this guide helps you in some way or another.

The Terminator series is back with it's third instalment, T3: RotM. The film
is surprisingly good (not a patch of T2 though; then again little action films
match it's greatness) and completes the trilogy in style. This game however
isn't that great (the graphics are complete dribble and it's very short) but it
provides a cool look into other events that were not seen in the film, and
there are some cool things to unlock (such as stills, movies, artwork, and some
retro Atari games). I'm writing an FAQ for this game as not only isn't it too
bad, but it needs writing for (its in the requested list of games for the PS2
on GameFAQs).

Also a thanks goes out to my brother Oliver, who brought the game (he is a
Terminator nut) and so without him getting this game into the household this
guide wouldn't have been possible. So this FAQ is somewhat dedicated to him.
Cheers bro!

- Reyn

 2.01. Story
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This is the story of T3: RotM. Note that this is lifted directly from the
manual and so are not my own words. If you have seen the film then it's the
same thing.

--

A decade has passed since John Connor helped prevent Judgement Day and saved
mankind from destruction. Now in his early twenties, Connor lives "off the
grid" - no home, no credit cards, no cell phone, no record of his existence.
There is no way he can be traced my Skynet - the highly developed network of
machines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Until...

Out of the shadows of the future steps the T-X, a Terminatrix, Skynet's most
sophisticated cyborg killing machine. Now Connor's only hope for survival is
the Terminator. Together, they must triumph over the technologically
superior T-X and forestall the looming threat of Judgement Day - or face the
apocalypse and the end of civilization.

 2.02. Basics
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

This section will tell you the basics of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

----------------
General Gameplay
----------------

This is just like a standard FPS (first person shooter) but set in the
Terminator universe. The game is split into levels, which have objectives
which must be completed to finish and move onto the next level. You will come
across a range of enemies in your path, including a range of Terminators and
flying units. Use your weapons to take these guys down. Make sure that you
lock onto them with the L1 button to ensure that you hit them when attacking.

On the game screen, in the top left corner is your radar; this shows the
objective range. The white cone is your direction and the yellow dot is where
the objective is completed. Following the yellow dot ensures that you are
travelling in the correct direction to meet your directives. The energy bar
in the bottom left corner shows your energy (surprisingly so) and in the top
right is your weapon status, showing how much ammo you currently have.

----------
Objectives
----------

You get several objectives during the game, many of which are added as you
play. To view the objectives, either press R3 or press Start and select the
field on the menu. Using the map and the radar gives you the area where the
objective can be completed.

---
Map
---

The map, which is found under the start menu, is a map of the current level
you are playing in. You can look around by using the direction buttons / left
analog stick, zoom in with L1 and out with R1, and cycle through the objectives
with R3. When you are finished using the map, press the Triangle button exits
back to the Start menu.

----------------
Special Features
----------------

Throughout the game you unlock different secrets such as movies and stills.
These are added to the Special Features on the main menu. To unlock
everything bar the Atari games, complete the game. More details about this
can be seen at the relevant section toward the end of this document.

--------------
Hints and Tips
--------------

These are some hints and tips which I hope will help you when playing the
game -

Stay away from Terminators once they are destroyed as they explode (after
about 5 seconds). This will harm you (as well as other machines).
 Terminators drop ammo once destroyed.
Use the map if you are lost (press Start and select it from the menu).
Clear every area that you come across, as it will make the game a lot easier
as machines to tend to follow you around and it gets tough when they all
  gang up on you.
The best weapon is the Assault Cannon, due to it's devastating secondary
fire. When you get it, use it all the time! (you shouldn't run out of ammo).

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
 2.03. Battle
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Battle is where you fight another Terminator in a combat game style situation.
This is the other sort of gameplay apart from FPS, however don't occur as
often. The controls are - X to punch, Circle to throw, Square to block and
Triangle to Kick. You can also perform combos, which are the following (note,
these are taken from the manual) -

--------------
Two Hit Combos
--------------

Medium Punch Combo - X,X
Quick Punch Combo - Left analog toward enemy + X, X
Strong Punch Combo - Left analog away from enemy + X, X
High Punch Combo - Up + X, X
Low Punch Combo - Down + X, X
Medium Punch with leg shove - X, Triangle
Quick Punch with leg shove - Left analog toward enemy + X, Triangle
Strong Punch with leg shove - Left analog away from enemy + X, Triangle
High Punch with double knee - Up + X, Triangle
Low Punch with double knee - Down + X, Triangle
Medium Punch with throw forward - X, O
Quick Punch with hard throw forward - Left analog toward enemy + X, Circle
Strong Punch with overhead throw - Left analog away from enemy + X, Circle
High Punch with sideways shoulder throw - Left analog Up + X, Cicle
Low Punch with throw down - Left analog Down + X, Circle

----------------
Three Hit Combos
----------------

Medium punch three-hit combo - X, X, X
Quick punch three-hit combo - Left analog toward enemy + X, X, X
Strong punch three-hit combo - Left analog away from enemy + X, X, X
High punch three-hit combo - Up + X, X, X
Low punch three-hit combo - Down + X, X, X
Medium punch two-hit combo with leg - X, X, Triangle
Quick punch two-hit combo with leg shove - Left analog toward enemy +
                                           X, X, Triangle
Strong punch two-hit combo with leg shove - Left analog away from enemy +
                                            X, X, Triangle
High punch two-hit combo with double knee - Up + X, X, Triangle
Low punch two-hit combo with double knee - Down + X, X, Triangle
Medium punch two-hit combo with throw- X, X, Circle
Quick punch two-hit combo with hard throw forward - Left analog toward enemy +
                                                    X, X, Circle
Strong punch two-hit combo with overhead throw - Left analog away from enemy +
                                                 X, X, Circle
High punch two-hit combo with sideways shoulder throw - Up + X, X, Circle
Low punch two-hit combo with throw down - Down + X, X, Circle

However instead of those combos I find it is easier to button bash. During
battles always be offensive at all times and attack a lot so the other
Terminator cannot attack you (in other words, never block - its a waste of
time). Against the T-X she will use her gun from a distance and if she does
press Down to dodge the attack (to prevent this, stay close to her). A GREAT
tactic is to throw her far away, and when comes running to you, start kicking
just in reach so that you land the kick and she cannot attack you. Keep doing
this to get loads of health down (note that this doesn't work every time). You
can also throw the crates that are lying around the area (if any).

A final piece of advise is to stay healthy. When you get less health the T-101
gets injured and slows down. This is a major disadvantage, so it's easier to
stay with good health.

                                3. WALKTHROUGH
                              ------------------
===============================================================================

This is the walkthrough and is the main feature of this FAQ.

This walkthrough is based on the NORMAL difficulty setting.
If you get lost during the game, then press Start and look at the map. The
next objective should be highlighted for you (press R3 to cycle through the
  objectives).

-----------------------
Level 1 - Tech-Com Base
-----------------------

Walk onward down the corridor and collect the Tech-Com Plasma Rifle at the end
(where the two guys just got blown up). Head left and take out the two
Terminators (remember to lock on to them with the L1 button). Go onward and
blow up the barrels to clear the rubble out of the way. Continue and take out
the machines here, then at the end, press Select to activate the infra-red
vision to enable you to see through the smoke ahead. Head down the smoky
corridor, destroy the machines at the end then head through the doorway at the
end on the right to reach an open area. Deactivate the infra-red vision; in
this open area there are flying machines everywhere - it's best to ignore them
unless they get in the way as they constantly respawn.

Head right then down the stairs. Go right to the central core like structure
and shoot the boxes either side of the entryway then walk through in to it
and collect the health and items. Head through the other exit and follow
the linear path through the rest of this area. When you reach the other set of
stairs, then take out the Terminators and head to the wall straight ahead and
activate the switch (highlighted with the yellow markers) with the X button.
Now turn around and head up the stairs, then right and through the doorway.
Ignore the machines in this area (as they constantly respawn) and head up the
large steps in the far corner then down the corridor at the top.

Ignore the machines in this room and head to the far corner and mount the
gun turret with the X button. Use it to take out the Terminators in this area,
and when none remain (some arrive ahead of you whilst you are mounted) head
through the brown door behind. Watch the cutscene then enter the room. Here
you have take out all the computer systems - ignore the machines and destroy
the computer in the middle, the computer systems at both sites of the room and
finally the wall in the far right corner. Now head through the destroyed wall
to complete this level.

--------------------------------
Level 2 - Tech-Com Base Sublevel
--------------------------------

Head up the stairs, through the room and down the stairs to arrive at the bases
main armory. Fire at the Terminators using the turret on the left side until
a cutscene cuts in showing the demolition team escaping down the sewers. Now
head into the opposite corner and down into the same sewer and run onward to
avoid the blast. Now you are in the sewer, take a left then follow it round.
The next left is where you need to go, however take the turning after for some
grenades, a lightning gun and some life. Head back to the tunnel that I said
to turn down and head up the ladder to the area above.

Go left and head up the ladder and head across the walkway to the switch in
the middle. Activate the switch, then head back down the ladder and head
through the newly opened doorway. Follow the corridor round to the next area,
and there go left up the small set of stairs and follow the linear route
(taking out machines as you go) until you reach a room. Take out all the
machines here and head down the stairs in the other half of the room. Clear the
machines again here and head through the exit out of here, head down the stairs
and collect the ammo and life behind at the bottom. Go down the pathway on
the right, across the bridge and into the sewer tunnel. Follow it around
and head up the small ladder when you reach the open area, then approach the
injured man in the right corner to finish the level.

---------------------------------
Level 3 - Tech-Com Base Perimeter
---------------------------------

Jump up the left ledge and into the room in the far corner. Take out the
Terminators here and activate the switch on the wall to cut out the subway
power. Exit the room and follow the wall and go right at the corner. Shoot
at the mass of rubble surrounded by white sparks to clear a path, then
continue on and head left up the stairs. Fire at the rubble on here too to
escape the subway.

Go right and take out all the robots, then head through one of the garage
doors. Take the ramp up to the roof and mount the gun turret. Use this to
fire at the flying gunships that appear above; when you are destroyed them all
(you may have to wait a while for them to appear) and once you have, this
short level is over.

-------------------------------
Level 4 - Tech-Com Staging Area
-------------------------------

Head down the stairs and head through the left door. Head right and onward
through this parking lot area, taking out the machines as you go. Head down
the ramp in the far right corner and take out the machines down here too.
Blast the brown doors and destroy the machines here, and shoot at the rubble
blocking the exit to clear it out of the way. Outside, destroy all the
machines (watch out for the tanks far away) then head up to the garages at
the far end. Enter the doorway on the right, then through into the door on
the left and through to the room after to meet with the man we are looking for.

Exit back out to the corridor and go left and head down the ladder and destroy
all the Terminators here. Now head through the door in the corner and keep
going until you reach an open area infested with a variety of robots. Mount the
gun turret here and blast the hell out the lot of them. You shouldn't take
much damage if you remove them quickly. Remain here and keep firing until all
the tanks are destroyed and you will finish this level.

------------------------------------------
Level 5 - Tech-Com Base Staging Area Fight
------------------------------------------

Here you fight another Terminator in the Combat mode. You have to deplete all
his life gauge to win. Press X to punch, Circle to throw, Square to block and
Triangle to Kick. Use different variations of the attacks and with directions
for different combos and attacks. There is no point blocking in his battle
(he doesn't take off much life in his attacks) so keep attacking. Isn't that
tough.

------------------------------
Level 6 - Downtown Los Angeles
------------------------------

Head down the stairs ahead of you to the right, then left again and down
another set of stairs. If you see any flying machines round here, take them
down. At the ground floor collect the ammo and energy (if you need it) here
then go through the doorway. Go right and take out the large flying machine
above with the Tech-Com Portable SAM Launcher. After, head back into the
building and wonder around and destroy all of the flying machines until the
'Destroy all F/K Units' objective is complete. Once it is, head back outside
again and head right round the corner and watch the cutscene.

Now lead left through the underpass (collecting the plasma grenades as you
go) and on the other side take out all the turrets. There are some on the
bridge you just passed under, and some around the sides. Once you get them
all then the 'destroy Skynet turrets' objective is complete. Now head left
and into the building. Inside, go right through the rooms and take out the
small machines as you do. In the last room, you can head up the side ramp
to the floor above where there is ammo and energy at the end (guarded by more
of those small machines again however). Anyway exit through the last room to
the open area, and destroy all the T-900 units here and another objective is
complete. There is energy and ammo around the edges if you need it.

Once you have done that, head through the path that is opposite the building
you just came from to get to another area. Here take out all the machines
again (you don't have to but if you don't you will sustain heavy damages) -
destroy the flyers first, then the Terminators. Energy and ammo is in
the right niche if you need some. Once this area is clear then continue
through the hole at the end, then left to the final area. You get a new
objective now - to destroy the F/K tanks. Destroy the three Terminators at
the street corner, then head right across this stretch of land to reach more
Terminators, and the tanks at the end. Take your time here; concentrate on
only a couple of machines at a time and use the walls / rubble as cover other
wise you will lose a lot of energy very quickly. Use explosive weapons on the
tanks at the end, and once they are cleared and the objective complete, head
through the tunnel next to wear they were located to complete the level.

-------------------
Level 7 - Hollywood
-------------------

Exit the tunnel and take out the group of Terminators ahead of you. Mount the
gun turret and use it to destroy any remaining ground units and a few of
the flying ones far overhead. Dismount once you are done then turn around
and enter the building. Go right and up the stairs. Stop off at the second
floor here and clear the area of Terminators - it's not required but it helps
out. Collect all their dropped weaponry as well. Head up to the third floor
now and do the same time - destroy all the Terminators. There are also some
flying units to contend with too. Once this top floor is clear, blow up the
wall in the far opposite corner and collect the hydrogen fuel cell bombs
inside (and the energy if you need it).

Now head all the way back down to the ground floor of this building and head
through the doorway in the corner, then follow the corridor round until you
reach the rubble blocking your path. Throw a hydrogen fuel cell bomb here to
create a hole in the ground, leading to the sewer system. Drop down, and
you can destroy the fence behind you to get some energy. Now head through
this linear sewer pipe, and destroy the onslaught of machines that come your
way. At the end, you can destroy the fencing to get some energy, and to
progress head down the hole on the left. Back outside, head left and up the
stairs (blast the brown covers that block the exit to escape) and in the open
area, mount the gun turret on the left and clear the area of Terminators and
flying units. When they are all gone, head to the opposite far corner and
follow the path round to another open area. Destroy all the Terminators here
then go left and into the building to rendezvous with the strike team.

After the cutscene, exit through were you came and destroy the Terminators.
Now head onward to the opposite corner for a new path onward (look at the map
if you are confused; it's south of the rendezvous building). Head through and
destroy the Terminators, then go onto the other side and head through the hole
in the wall. Follow the corridor round to the area that looks like you are in
a roofless building (this is the mall, I believe). Just ahead is the refuelling
station. Destroy the Terminators and the odd flying unit (they respawn however)
then throw a hydrogen fuel-cell bomb at the refuelling station to destroy it.
Head left into the room, where there is an arcade machine. Press X in front of
it to play and unlock Missile Command. Press start to exit once you are
finished, then turn around and use an explosive on the wall to create a path
onward.

Now exit through here and stick to the left wall, then take the path left.
Follow round and clear the exit to the final area. Take out the machines here
(us the assault cannon if you have it) and use the right wall for cover. The
main target is the huge machine to the right; use an explosive or the Assault
Cannons secondary fire on this big fella. Once he is destroyed, head right
quickly to find the tunnel and complete the level. Phew!

--------------------
Level 8 - The Valley
--------------------

Go forward and destroy the tank that appears from the left. Enter the trench
that it came from and follow it round to a room, go left, down the ladder into
the sewer and follow it round to a large room with some tanks in. Take these
tanks out (use the assault cannon's secondary fire if you have it). Go right
into the corner and collect the weapons and energy, then proceed through the
door opposite to go outside. Collect the ammo by the door, and now you have
to protect Lt. Baker until the uplink is repaired. To get to the uplink, head
onward round the mesh then into the building to the right, and inside destroy
the three Terminators and go up stairs. Here, clear the area of Terminators
then head onto the central mound. Jump on this to see onto the area above, and
take out the tanks on either side and the three flying units above (when they
arrive). Ensure that you totally clear this area and the one above, as it will
help ensure that Lt. Baker stays alive and kicking.

Now head back to the stairs that you came up and take the stairs up that are
next to them. Collect all the ammo left here (there shouldn't be any residence
here as you just destroyed it from below) and head into the corner where the
computers are, and Lt. Baker will start a countdown. Wait until the countdown
has finished and the communications uplink reestablishment objective is
complete. Now head back down the stairs and outside, then head right. Stand
at the corner and destroy all the machines that you can see. When the coast is
clear, head right round the corner and enter the building to rendezvous with
the Tech-Com attack squad. Collect all the ammo and health in this room before
leaving, then follow the attack squad. You will come across those huge machines
so assist the attack squad in attacking them. Keep fighting that machines and
head toward the fence of the blue building ahead. Destroy most of the machines
and when you reach the fence, the level is complete.

-------------------------------
Level 9 - Skynet Labs Perimeter
-------------------------------

Start by destroying all the machines ahead, then head to the end of the
corridor and destroy the Terminator transport tube to prevent any more
Terminators from arriving here. Now go into the first door on the left; kill
the Terminators and the drone gun on the ceiling in the left corner, then
head to the back area that is up the ramp and blow up the row of computers
to destroy the Skynet security system. Head back down the ramp and go
into the side room. After the cutscene destroy the repair bay in the middle
of the room (the four robotic arms) then exit back out into the main corridor.

Now head into the second door on the left. Take out the ceiling drone gun
(left) and the Terminator transport tube (right) and activate the switch on
the other side of the room to disable the back up security system. Exit back
to the main corridor and enter the first room on the right side. Head into the
large room and destroy the Terminator transport tube on the left then
activate the switch round the back of the central plasma structure to
transfer power to the lift.

Head back to the main corridor and enter the second room on the right. Take
out the drone gun in the opposite corner then activate the switch underneath
it to call the lift. Exit back out to the main corridor once more and head to
the end, and wait until the lift arrives from below on the right side. Step
onto it when it comes, and on the descent destroy the flying machines and
drone guns that pass you. At the bottom enter the tunnel ahead (watch out for
the flying units that come from behind when you enter). In the final,
polluted area, head right and destroy the machines as you go. Keep going round
the outside until a cutscene cuts in; then destroy the tank and the level is
done.

--------------------------------
Level 10 - Skynet Labs Level One
--------------------------------

Head onward, collect the ammo in the corner then enter the door opposite.
Take care of the Terminators in this area then go through the door opposite
the one you came through. Turn the corner and clear the room of machines, and
do the same again with the following corridor (watch out for the machines in
the alcoves). Go onward to the conveyer belt area, where there are more
machines to take care of. Watch out for the drone guns hanging over the
conveyer belt; they are quite tough, so I would advise using the Assault
Cannon's secondary fire on them. Now jump over the belt to the other side of
the room and head to the far corner, where the pipes are. Jump up the ledge
there and then follow round the thin path to a switch; activate this and
a bridge opposite will extend.

Now head all the way back to the room after the first and now go through
the other door that's in the far corner. Head across the bridge and clear the
following room of enemies, and destroy all the Terminator transport tubes on
the left hand side. Once you have done that, head down into the lower area of
the room and blow up the computer system. After the cutscene, go right and
head through the door. Again clear the area of machines, then head through
the left door for some ammo and energy. Finally head down the ramp in the
room to reach the lift (watch out for the guarding tank). Stepping onto the
left completes the level.

--------------------------------
Level 11 - Skynet Labs Level Two
--------------------------------

Go round the corner and use the switch to extend the bridge. Head across it
and destroy the machines, and head through the door on the right. Take care
of all the crawling suicide bots and proceed down the ramp and onto the access
pad on the left side (highlighted by the yellow dots). Press X whilst on it
opens the door outside. Exit the room and go through the newly opened door
and clear the room of machines. Go through the first door on the left,
destroy the tank and head down the right ramp and clear the area ahead (the
Assault Cannon's R2 makes this far easier to do). Once that's done, activate
the switch on the wall and head back to the previous room and now proceed
through the second door on the left.

Head across the bridge (you can jump across to the left ledge for the ammo
and energy) and enter the door at the end. Head onward, round the corner
and stand at the end to be lowered down into the area below. Destroy the
group of Terminators and then take care of the two Terminator transport tubes
in the room (at the end and on the right). Go to the screen in the far right
corner and press X to activate the large lift (the one with the large glass
door). Step into the said lift, and in the area above be prepared for a lot
of opposition. There are loads of machines to take care of (the ones in the
alcoves are a nuisance) so use the Assault Cannon and the walls to hide
behind. There is some energy on the right from the lift's exit.

Once that's done, head down to the lift that's opposite the lift you came up
to finish the level.

-----------------------------------
Level 12 - Skynet Labs Time Chamber
-----------------------------------

A very easy level this... head onward and take out the two tanks at the sides
then enter into the next area. Terminators keep arriving, so destroy them all
until they are all gone. Also note there will be flying units from the
previous area (only a couple though). Once all the machines are taken care
of, the level is done!

-----------------------
Level 13 - Vet Hospital
-----------------------

Welcome to the present! Head into the room on the right and press X at the
computer in the corner to play and unlock Centipede. Note that you may have to
adjust your position to get it to work (its a bit fiddly). Press Start to exit.
Exit the room and head right down the long corridor and enter the last door on
the right. Press X at the cage to release John Connor and to fight the T-X
in battle mode. Stay close (at a distance she uses her gun, which is quite
powerful; however when she fires it you can dodge by pressing down) and stay
offensive - always attack before she can. Throwing is good I found, and you
can also throw the crates that are lying around.

----------------------
Level 14 - Crane Chase
----------------------

Yet another battle with the T-X, this time on top of the Crane vehicle thing.
Use the same tactics as before - be offensive at all times and attack a lot
so she cannot attack you, stay close so that she cannot use her gun (if she
does, you can dive out of the way by pressing down) etc. It's slightly harder
than last time, but it shouldn't be too tough. Button mashing works better than
having a particular strategy in moves, I think.

-------------------------------
Level 15 - Downtown Los Angeles
-------------------------------

Back to the Future! Now your enemies are humans! Go onward and left and mount
the gun turret. Fire at the highlighted targets, then when none remain,
dismount. Go right through the open area and take out the lorries as you go.
Continue across the open area and after the cutscene, destroy the lorry on the
left and head through the hole that it was blocking. Go left, clear this small
area of humans and proceed for a cutscene. Blast the wood away from the exit
and head into the open area. Head across this area (ignore the enemies and
ongoing explosions around you) and go through the path on the right to the
next area.

Here clear the area of humans to progress (note I found some in the building in
the far right corner) then watch the cutscene. Head through the building in
the far right corner and use the gun turret to stop the enemies from
following. In the final area, destroy all the Tech-Com artillery batteries
and once you have gone through the underpass and completed that objective,
head right into the building and make your way up to the top floor whilst
taking out humans. At the top head toward the door in the corner to finish.

--------------------
Level 16 - Mausoleum
--------------------

NOTE - You cannot kill anyone in this level. To KO the enemy, use the secondary
fire a couple of times otherwise you will fail the level. Also, you need to
keep John alive and uncaptured, so watch out for them and for where you are
attacking (I found it easy to hit John at times).

Go right and Kate will get captured (this cannot be prevented). KO the enemies
here then go left and follow the path round to a room. KO the enemies in the
corner then proceed up stairs to the courtyard. KO the enemies here (there is
one on the right as you enter, and two on the other side of the courtyard)
then quickly head down the other set of stairs (ignore the helicopter). Again
KO all the guys here - start with the guy straight to your left and then deal
with all the others quickly (otherwise John is at risk). There is also some
health in the corner if you need it. Head down stairs and KO the enemies here
(note the one in the corner behind you) then proceed into the next room and
KO the enemies that enter on the left.

Head left now into a long room and again, KO the guys here - it is harder to
see them here (due to the lack of lighting) but the red highlights should help
you out. Ensure that they are all out for the count then head down the
coridoor after, up the stairs and into the final room. KO the three enemies
and then press X at the highlighted coffin spot on the wall to finish.

-------------------
Level 17 - Cemetery
-------------------

The aim of this level is to destroy all the pursuit vehicles (basically all
of the police cars and such). Start from the left and work down the road until
they are all clear. I would HIGHLY advise that you use Bare Hands (aka no
weapons) for this level; for one you aren't get much ammo, and weapons could
easily kill enemies (yes, that rule still applies in this level - you can't
terminate the enemies). Also only use the bare hands secondary fire, as that
KO's the enemies and it can destroy the vehicles in several hits. However if
an enemy is near to a car when it explodes, watch out as it could well hurt
them. It takes a while longer to do it this way, but it's far safer.

There is energy around some of the sides if you need it, and there is a
cemerety halfway down the road on the left where there is energy in one of the
buildings. You can use the map to identify what cars are remaining. Once you
have taken care of all the cars the objective will be complete, then head
to the end of the road to the hurse to complete the level.

--------------------------------
Level 18 - CRS Headquarters Labs
--------------------------------

Go left, destroy the T-1 and head through the hole in the wall at the end (on
the right side). Destroy the T-1's on the right and head through the right
door. Destroy another T-1, go left, left into the corridor and out into the
next room. Destroy the machines in here, go through door in the far left
corner then into the next room. Take care of the two T-1's, then go right,
destroy the T-1 and collect the elevator access card on the left desk and
proceed through the corridoor at the other end. At the end, destroy the T-1's
at both left and right, then go left to the end of the corridor where the lift
is located, which signals the end of the level.

-----------------------------------
Level 19 - CRS Headquarters Offices
-----------------------------------

Go ahead into the open area and destroy the two flying machines ahead, then go
left to the corridor. Destroy the T-1, go left and take out the machines.
Go onward and where the corridor expands turn right and blast at the door to
open it. Enter the room, go into the room next door to reach the office.
Go to the far right corner and press X at the safe on the wall to finish.

------------------------------------
Level 20 - CRS Headquarters Bathroom
------------------------------------

Like the other battles with the T-X, but the difficulty has upped slightly.
Be offensive at all times and attack a lot so she cannot attack you, and also
note that as her gun got destroyed she cannot use it. I think a GREAT tactic
is to throw her far away, and when comes running to you, start kicking just in
reach so that you land the kick and she cannot attack you. Keep doing this
to get loads of health down (note that this doesn't work every time).

-----------------------
Level 21 - CRS Airfield
-----------------------

Go onward and head into the hangar that is ahead on the right. Destroy the
two T-1's and the flying machine and you will find the helicopter. You will
now have three new objectives in order to fly the copter and to finish the
level. Exit the hangar and head to the tower ahead on the right; inside go
right to end of the level and destroy the highlighted computer to complete
the 'destroy the control tower computer' objective. Exit the tower and head
back to the helicopter hangar and enter the building next to it (via the
corrugated door). Inside go into the next area of the building and destroy
the T-1 and collect the fuel pump that is behind it to complete the 'replace
the fuel pump' objective.

Now exit through the corrugated door on the right, go left and enter the
corrugated door ahead. Destroy the T-1, head up the stairs to the next area
and destroy the T-1 and collect the flight computer in the middle of the room
to complete the 'replace flight computer' objective. Now exit the building and
head back to the helicopter hangar (check the map if you get lost) to finish
the level.

-----------------------
Level 22 - Crystal Peak
-----------------------

Final Battle! This time the battle is quite a challenge, and the T-X is down
to her endoskeleton! Again, be offensive at all times and attack a lot so she
cannot attack you, and also note that as her gun got destroyed see cannot use
it. I think a GREAT tactic is to throw her far away, and when comes running to
you, start kicking just in reach so that you land the kick and she cannot
attack you. Keep doing this to get loads of health down (note that this
doesn't work every time). You can also throw the crates that are lying around
the area.

Once all the T-X's health is gone the battle is over and you have completed
the game! Congratulations!

Atari Games
-----------

There are two games to unlock, Centipede and Missile Command. Here are details
of how to unlock them and how to play them -

Centipede - To unlock, go to Level 13 - Vet Hospital. From the start, head into
the room on the right and press X at the computer in the corner to
play and unlock Centipede. Note that you may have to adjust your
position to get it to work (its a bit fiddly).

The Controls - Press any button to fire, Select to pause the game
            and Start to exit.

The aim is to destroy the centipedes that come down the screen.
They bounce off the obstacles, so you can somewhat predict their
movement. Once you fire and hit them they split into two which go
into opposite directions (and the destroyed segment turns into a
obstacle). Spiders also appear on the screen which must be shot.
Once the centipede is gone it advances onto the next stage etc.
            It's quite a tough game.

Missile Command - To unlock, go to Level 7 - Hollywood. Once you destroy the
refuelling station head left into the room, where there is an
arcade machine. Press X in front of it to play and unlock
                  Missile Command.

The Controls - Square is to fire the left base, Triangle or
X to fire the middle base, and Circle to fire the right base.
                  Press Start to exit.

The aim is to defend the cities from the oncoming missiles.
If any of the cities or bases are hit by a missile then they
are destroyed. You have to defend the cities by firing
missiles from your three bases. You only have a set amount
of missiles in every base (the amount is under each base) and
you hear a bleeping to let you know that you have low
missiles. The missiles regenerate after every round. The
closer the base the faster the missiles will reach the
oncoming missile. Note that they will take time to get there
so aim slightly ahead of them; also as they have a large
explosion you can easily get one or two oncoming missiles
using one of your missiles. A very fun game.

-------------------
T3: Redemption Demo
-------------------

This is a demo of a forthcoming new Terminator 3 game, which is very fun and
far better than this game (lets be honest). It's third person and you have
unlimited ammo to boot. The controls are as follows -

Left Analog - Move
Right Analog - Aim
X - Action (punch; pick up objects)
Square - Vehicle break
Circle - Speak a random Arnie comment
Triangle - Acquire vechile
L1 - Terminator Vision
R1 - Weapon Fire 1
R2 - Weapon Fire 2
Select - Camera Switch
Start - Pause (objective screen)

You lock on to targets automatically when you aim towards them, and that the
enemies energy can be seen on the right of the target. Make your way through
the linear path, fighting the Terminators as you go until you reach a car.
Press triangle to jump on the car, then you control the acceleration, braking
and the turning via the left analog stick, and the aiming still with the right
analog stick. Use R2 here to fire missiles which will take away a lot of the
enemies health. Follow the track and when the command ship appears overhead,
fire at its enemies. Also you can jump across to the tanks that you come
across by pressing triangle when you are close to them. At the end you get onto
a helicopter and you have to travel round buildings and destroy the sentinels
under the command ship. Keep firing at the sentinels constantly apart from
when they fire a missile, which you can shoot to destroy. After two sentinels
the demo is finished. Quite fun, wasn't it?

Q. How do I unlock the Atari games?

A. You have to do certain requirements during some levels or use cheat codes
to unlock them. More information about this can be seen in the section
   above.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Q. Why does it take so long to change weapons?

A. No idea. I guess you just going to have to live with it. Sorry!

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Q. What is the best weapon to use in the game?

A. For the future, choose the Assault Cannon. Although its clips aren't that
huge, it's secondary fire is VERY powerful. It can take down Terminators
in one hit, and even the biggest machines take several hits. Toward the end
of the future campaign you will get this weapon, so have it equipped all the
time (you shouldn't run out of ammo for it). Have fun! ;)
