0.5- 11/5/03- Well I've done most of the walkthrough, now all I need to do is
type it up.

chance of an update seems remote.

Final- 21/01/07- This is definately the final update. Changed the Closing Words
section for a more useful Contact Information section. A lot more formatting
so the guide is a lot easier to read. Renumbered the sections. I've also 
added the Gamecube controls. I am no longer accepting contributions so this is

Well, welcome to my Spyro The Dragon Enter the Dragonfly Guide. Please note
that this is a Dragonflies Guide and only deals with the Names, Colours,
Descriptions and Locations of EVERY dragonfly. The first guide on GameFAQS that
has a detailed directions to each dragonfly. Well this is now, my 3rd guide and
I'm now getting the hang of it so I hope all goes well.

By the way the dragonflies are listed in the order which I found them rather
that where they appear in the atlas. Maybe later I'll list them in the order
which they appear in the level. Maybe.

I'd like you to note that I'm English, so I haven't spelt colour wrong all the
way down as I know the US spelling is color. And don't give me any of your
stereotype crap.

Here I will tell the story of Spyro The Dragon so far, from the first to the
latest game. I would like to give thanks to nosnibor28 who provided me with
the story from the first 3 games.


 ==================
  SPYRO THE DRAGON
 ==================

In the beginning, the five dragon families lived in their five dragon worlds in
harmony. Their lives were happy and peaceful... until the day a Gnorc broke
the rules!

Gnasty Gnorc was an unpleasant creature from the bottom of his dirty boots to
the top of his unwashed head. He wasn't pretty, and his personality combined
the short temper of a gnome with the bad attitude of a orc!

Gnasty resented the happy dragon families. More than anything, he detested
their beautiful shiny jewels, which were not only nice to look at, but showed
him reflections of his own ugly mug every time he did so. Gnasty became such
a problem that he was banished to the dragon junkyard. This was a world the
Dragons weren't fond of, though it suited Gnasty just fine. He renamed it
Gnasty's World as soon as he got there.

Gnasty began to fool around with magic spells. After a while, he hit on the
two he wanted: a giant spell to trap all the Dragons in crystal, and a potion
to animate those radiant gems and turn them into Gnorc soldiers.

On a nice sunny day, Gnasty crystallized all the Dragons the turned all the
gems he could find into his willing minions. He even began turning the
Dragon Worlds into Gnorc Worlds! But the one little detail he didn't count
on was Spyro The Dragon. Spyro just happened to be playing hooky -again-
and missed getting crystallized by Gnasty's spell.

Now Spyro, the only unfrozen Dragon, must travel to the six worlds-
including Gnasty's industrial world- releasing all the dragons and
collecting their stolen treasure.

In the meantime, Gnasty's minions are doing their best to stop him. Not
that Spyro is without friends...the Dragons he releases give him hints,
and all along the way he is accompanied by Sparx the Dragonfly, his best
friend.


 ====================
  GATEWAY TO GLIMMER
 ====================

Spyro the Dragon and Sparx the Dragonfly are looking forward to a relaxing
vacation at Dragon Shores. They're going to rest up from their victory over
Gnasty Gnorc in their first adventure. But fate is about to give their travel
plans a big ugly tweak.

In the worlds of Avalar, a dinosaur-riding trouble-maker named Ripto is making
life miserable with his magical spells. Statues are coming to life and
attacking their makers. Monsters are messing up electrical systems. Eskimos
are being turned into ice cubes and fish are running out of water!

The folks in Avalar have to come up with a plan, quick! They decide that a
dragon is what they need to defeat Ripto and his gang. One of the defenders,
the Professor, has created magical orbs that will snatch a dragon out of
another world and shoot it through a portal to Avalar. Just as Spyro and
Sparx leave for their trip, the Professor revs up the orbs.

In the blink of a gnorc's eye, it's "Good-bye, Dragon Shores," and "Hello,
Avalar!" as Spyro and Sparx tumble through a portal and into an alien
universe. If they ever want to take their beach vacation, Spyro and Sparx
have to help get rid of this raging Ripto. It's enough to make a dragon spit
fire!

Spyro never passes up a challenge or the chance to toast a few enemies - and
here. mountains, bubbling lava flows and gem-filled lakes. The local folks
seem pretty nice too... weird - but nice. But some of the scariest creatures
ever seen live here and that's by dragon standards! Will Spyro ever get back
to his world? It's a snap if you're a dragon.

So fire up the breath burners and rev up your headbash. Ripto is about to see
what happens when a dragon leads the attack.


 ====================
  YEAR OF THE DRAGON
 ====================

Every twelve years, the Dragon Kingdom celebrates its most important event:
the "Year of the Dragon" Festival. Fairies deliver a new batch of dragon eggs
and dragons come from all around to dance and feast until everyone drops
from... eggshaustion.

The Year of the Dragon is upon us again and the fairies have brought 150 eggs
to the Dragon Worlds. However, unbeknownst to the celebrating dragons, a
sinister plot is about to unfold...

Far away - on the opposite side of the world - lies a kingdom long since
forgotten by dragonkind. So forgotten, in fact, that even the legends about
these "Forgotten Worlds" have now been forgotten.

This kingdom is ruled by a mean and spiteful Sorceress who has frankly become
quite fed up with being forgotten. As she sits on her forgotten throne,
the Sorceress has hatched a fiendishly evil plan. A plan to restore the
fading magic to her forgotten realm. A plan to conquer the dragons once and
for all. All she needs is a little help from her army of horn-nosed
'rhynocs', the cooperation of her mysterious disciple Bianca and of course,
those 150 magical dragon eggs.

  ENTER THE DRAGONFLY
 =====================

At the conclusion of the Year Of The Dragon festival, young dragons from
all over Dragon Realms receive their very own "dragonfly," a momentous
event in the life of every dragon.

Dragonflies, each with a unique personality and a kazoo-like voice, fly
in from all over Dragon Realms to be with their own dragon. Citizens
from near and far come to witness this important event.

With piece finally restored to the realms, the festival gets underway.
Grand parade floats hover in the air, and the dragons celebrate as they
await the arrival of the dragonflies. However, unbeknownst to the
dragons, a sinister plot is about to unfold�

The enemy from Spyro's past has arisen and has scattered all of the
dragonflies across the continent. And who is this I hear you ask? Why
it's Ripto who Spyro fought in 'Gateway to Glimmer'. So it's up to you
Spyro, yet a again to come to the rescue of Dragon Realms.

Spyro's best and most reliable friend is also Spyro's health meter...
there's gratitude for you. Here are the 3 different colours signalling
your health-

Gold- Good Times- 4 hits from death.
Blue- I feel ok- 3 hits from death.
Green- Help! need health- 2 hits from death
Gone- Oh dear 1 hit from death

Sparx also drops helpful hints through the game.

To gain health simply kill- ducks, frogs, sheep, bunnies, pigs and other
such animals. They will take your health up 1 colour. If you eat 8 of
these you will we awarded with an extra life.

Another way of gaining extra lives is to smash a bottle with a butterfly
in, when you do this your health will be taken up to full and you will
gain a life.

You can use the atlas for a number of things-

*You can keep track of your dragonfly and gem count for the entire game
or for a single level.

*You can see % completion for a single level or the entire game.

* See which special tasks you have done in each realm.


                         ===============================
                          HOW DO CATCH THE DRAGONFLIES?
                         ===============================

The main way to capture dragonflies is to use your bubble-breath. To use
bubble breath select it (L1)and press O. The dragonflies are harder to
catch than you might think, as they fly away. But if you are quick then
you can catch them early, before your chasing them around hopelessly.

This has always been Spyro's main attack, ever since the first Spyro. Does the
obvious, sets things on fire, torches enemies to death...

We had the first glimpse of this breath in 'Year Of The Dragon'. Freezes
enemies in an ice prison, which can be used for the hard-the-reach places.

  ELECTRIC-BREATH
 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
This is the first time we have come across this breath. Can be used to power up
things like machines and also it frazzles enemies to death.

  BUBBLE-BREATH
 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
Mentioned above also- this is the first time we've seen this breath as well.
Used to capture the dragonflies.

The star of the show. If you don't know about him read through The Story So Far

 =======
Sparx is Spyro's dragonfly best friend. As well as providing hints and pointing
to treasure Sparx will indicate how much health Spyro has.

  HUNTER
 ========
Spyro's slowpoke personal trainer, has been with Spyro since the beginning. Has
become a little lazy since his romance with Bianca.

 ========
  BIANCA
 ========
Bianca was Spyro's enemy in 'Year of The Dragon'. But when she discovered the
sorceresses evil plans she sided with Spyro. She is also a powerful sorceress
herself.

  MONEYBAGS
 ===========
All this bear is interested in is taking gems from Spyro. Though the gems are
worth giving away for the different passages which Moneybags opens. He features
a lot less in Enter the Dragonfly than in previous Spyro games...for which we
are thankful for.

  ZOE
 =====
Has also been with Spyro since the start. Whenever you meet her she'll be sure
to save your progress.

*Please note that the only playable character in the game is Spyro.

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Hunters Lesson

HOW DO I GET IT?: From the Dragon Spirit, go behind you and to your left.
You will find Hunter up some steps. Follow him onto the platforms on which
he jumps and you will receive Bubbles. If you are stuck  follow the game
hints.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: To find Hunter- he is on a platform to the right
of the castle.

There are 10 dragonflies per area and a total of 90 on the game this guide
covers all 90 of these dragonflies.

Dragon Realms is where you begin your game and it is also Spyro's home. Many
dragons reside here, but I'm not too sure why you don't see any here when the
game starts. Dragon Realms is 'home' and this is where you find portals that
take you to other worlds. Also there are dragonflies and gems
in this area.

HOW DO I GET HERE? You are here to begin with.

HOW MANY DRAGONFLIES REQUIRED?: None as you are already here.

  DRAGONFLY 1 - TOONS
 =====================

COLOUR: Green

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Front of castle.

HOW DO I GET IT?: From the Dragon Spirit, go behind you and to the right
is Toons- the first one!

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: From where you start turn around and Toons is in
front of the castle.

  DRAGONFLY 2 - BUBBLES
 =======================

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Hunters Lesson

HOW DO I GET IT?: From the Dragon Spirit, go behind you and to your left.
You will find Hunter up some steps. Follow him onto the platforms on which
he jumps and you will receive Bubbles. If you are stuck  follow the game
hints.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: To find Hunter- he is on a platform to the right
of the castle.

  DRAGONFLY 3 - JEET
 ====================

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Flame Challenge

HOW DO I GET IT?: From where you received Bubbles, to your right is a Flame
Challenge portal. You must complete the challenge to free Jeet. The
locations of the targets (scarecrows) are-

* Drop down from the platform and torch the target.

* From the last target move left to find next target, which is in front of
a path through the rocks.

* From the previous target move towards the nearby waterfall. On the near
bank is a target.

* Move over to the far bank of the river and the next target is there.

* Now up on the next level- there's on behind the Dragon Spirit.

* Further up from the Dragon Spirit is a target surrounded by baskets, in a
gap in the wall.

* Exit this gap and hang a left, there's one here.

* Now, run past the waterfall, past the castle and the final one is on the
steps which lead to the start of Hunter's Lesson.

Once you have done the last one Sparx will tell you that that Jeet is free.

I suggest that you torch these targets in the order which I have listed
them, as it is the easiest way.

*In the south of Dragon Realms there is a path (near the
portal thingy in the ground) that will lead you to a locked
gate. Use Electric-Breath to unlock it.

  DRAGONFLY 4 - KENICHI
 =======================

COLOUR: Green

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Buzzing cold

HOW DO I GET IT?: As soon as you walk through the 'Electric Gate' Kenichi is
straight in front of you, next to a fence.

  DRAGONFLY 5 - ALEX
 ====================

NAME: Alex

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Lightning Challenge

HOW DO I GET IT?: To the left of Kenichi is the Electric Challenge Portal.
Again you must blast 8 targets- this time with Electric-Breath. The targets
are located-

* The first 2 are on two hay bails to your right.

* To get the next 1 go straight past the Challenge Portaland go up the
opening on your right.

* Go back down this opening and head right. The target is next to a tree and
some baskets.

* There is an opening on your left. Take the bottom route and get the target.

* Turn back and go the top route, here you will get another target.

*Carry on along the top route and you will come out at a beach. Take the
target next to the jetty.

*At the far side of the beach is the final target.

After you have done the final target, Sparx will tell you that Alex has
been freed.

I suggest that you torch these targets in the order which I have listed them,
as it is the easiest way.


 ====================
  DRAGONFLY 6 - AMIE
 ====================

COLOUR: Green

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Down by the bay.

HOW DO I GET IT?: A little further up the beach from the
final target is Amie.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: On the beach near the boat to Laua Island.

  THE ICE GATE
 ==============

*If you go onto the stairs/ledge on which you gained access to Cloud 9 and
instead of going to Cloud 9, head left. Here there is a path and it will
take you to the 'Ice Gate'. You will need Ice-Breath to gain access though.


 ====================
  DRAGONFLY 7 - MASA
 ====================

COLOUR: Green

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Beyond the gate.

HOW DO I GET IT?: As you come out of the passage after the 'Ice Gate', turn
right up some stairs. Once in this new area go forward to get Masa.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: Near the Ice Challenge Portal and the entrance
to 'Thieves Den'.

  DRAGONFLY 8 - HOWIE
 =====================

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Ice Challenge

HOW DO I GET IT?: Next to Masa you will notice the Ice Challenge Portal.
This time you must put out 8 fires. They are situated-

* In the entrance to where the Thief is- right next to where you start.

* Now come out of there and turn right and there are two more here.

* Next you must go out the way you entered this area � there is one on
the way out.

through a doorway. There is a dragon stood next to a flat stone. When you
stand on this stone you will be taken to the dragonfly dojo.

ATLAS DESCRIPTIONS: Dojo Time Trial + Dojo Race

HOW DO I GET IT?: Go through the gate which the first dragon which you
unfroze opened. Now follow the tunnel until you come out into the open.
Go up the platform and unfreeze the 2nd dragon. From this platform glide
on to the platform on your right. Follow the platforms round until you
reach a portal� go in.

You are now in a Speedway. Here there are two options- Time Attack and
Race The Riptocs. You will collect a dragonfly for completing each.

  TIME ATTACK
 =~=~=~=~=~=~=

You should fly though the 10 rings easily. At the end of these rings
should be the first lantern on the right-hand side. As you fly through
each lantern make sure you flame it as  you go through- this will light it.
Once you have done all 10 of these, drop down to the ground and charge and
break all of the rickshaws. Make sure that you charge in the opposite
direction to save time. Once you have done all rickshaws, take flight and
the Riptocs should be flying around a rock. Again fly in the opposite
direction to them to save time.

This is the completion of Time Attack mode and you will receive the
dragonfly- Rashomon.

  RACE THE RIPTOCS
 ~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

Here you must  fly through EVERY ring, completing 3/3 laps. By the end of
these laps if you are in first place then you will receive the dragonfly
Yoijmbo.

I will take you through a  lap of the course. Repeat this lap another twice
and you should win the race-

Take the first ring and then nose-dive under the canopy,- fly through the
star and get a speed boost. Now quickly rise and head towards the next ring.
After you take this ring  hang a sharp left. Under this canopy is a star. Now
rise and take the next few rings. This is the end of the lap. If you miss a
ring you will have to start again.

HOW DO I GET IT?: From where you found Cinder go a little way along the
corridor you will see a portal- go in.Here you must destroy 21 tanks
before they destroy you. To gain life run over the fluffy little bunnies-
Yay!

Destroy the pile of rock and the cover in front of you. Behind the second
pile of rock is a tank- search and destroy. Follow path and destroy tank in
front of the targets. Then shoot both targets and the shutter will open.

In this area there are 4 tanks, destroy them and move to the next area
(behind 3 rock piles in a line).

Now there will be a tank behind a covering. By now you should have destroyed
7/21.

Now follow path and destroy 2 tanks. Now behind the 2 covers are 2 targets,
hit them to lift the shutter.

By the end of this section you should have 15/21 destroyed tanks.

Head into the final area and finish off the rest of them. When you have
21/21 you will receive Cub.

HOW DO I GET IT?: To get Moony you must get  3 kites down from 3 trees for 3
baby dragons- simple. The easiest way to get these is to have the Ice-breath
ability, and to freeze the baby dragons and use them as a platform to get to
the kites.

* The first one is next to where you unfreeze the second dragon. Near where you
found the electric-breath rune.

* The second one is on the 'Lonely Island', on the island where you found Dawn.

* The final one is where you unfreeze the final dragon. Look down over the cliff
and you should see a ledge, with trees on it- and the kite.

For getting all 3 you will be rewarded with Moony.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: There are ledges near each of the kites. If you take
a large enough run up and execute a perfect glide and hover, you should be able
to reach each kite, without using Ice-breath. By the second kite there is no
ledge, but there is a swirly which you could use.

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: UFO Attack

HOW DO I GET IT?: From Fiona go through this barn and you will realise that
you are back at the beginning. Talk to farmer Dill again and you will be set
a challenge�You must electric-breath the cannons to shoot at the UFO. By the
way the cannons are the great big grey things.

The first cannon is situated to your right as soon as you start. The next one
you must go through the broken barn- it will be next to the hay bails from
earlier.

Keep following the path and you should come to a cannon near a climbable grain
dispenser.

When you hit it this time it will drop the dragonfly Flavie. Flavie will be
dropped at the other side of the barn.

* Climb the climbable grain dispenser as mentioned before. Now glide into the
barn where there is a portal.

ALTERNATIVE EXPLAINATION: You can set off the cannons in any order.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Here, you need to stop the UFO abducting cows by shooting it

have all 6 in the pen (which is next to the barn) you will be awarded with
Jingles.

HOW DO I GET IT?: You have to do the same again, but this time there are more
UFO's- but you can destroy the small yellow ones and it's only the big one that
can abduct the cows. Though the yellow do fire at you- which can be a real pain
in the ass.

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Platform Panic

HOW DO I GET IT?: Go to the second broken bridge stand on the very edge and
look right see the portal? Glide there. 

This is hard! Go down the steps and you will see two blue platforms moving at
your height. You must jump on each and head bash (X,triangle) the buttons on
the ledges which it takes you to.

Doing this will bring the pink platforms down to your height. Now you must
electric-breath every white stick on the pinks.

This will bring down the greens. Do the same to the greens. Now you can jump
into the middle, kill the Riptoc and claim the dragonfly!

HOW DO I GET IT?: Go to the second broken bridge and drop down the hole. On

the ledge and on the right-hand snapped part of the barn is a ladder at the top
is Laurent.

running to farmer Dean. When all 5 have been rounded up, talk to Dean and he
will present you with Cedric. By the way farmer Dean is found just after the

drums. So that's exactly what you do. Just copy the movements of the other
drummers using square,O,triangle,X.

HOW DO I GET IT?: You must set of the cannon like machines as in Crop Circle
Country. The locations of the machines are-

* From the start go forward at the (crossroads?) and go up the swirly.

* When you are off the swirly, behind you is a platform. Glide to this
platform and then to the next one, which has a machine. Go up the swirly and
there is the machine.

* From the start, head along the right hand path at the crossroads. Keep
following this rather long path until you reach a pool. Go up the steps next
to the pool.

* You should come out in a new area. Go and speak to Thimble and he will tell
you that a thief has stolen his wand. Charge down this thief and when you hit
him he will drop his wand. Return this to Thimble and he will activate the
swirly behind him. From here float down to the hard-to-miss platform. Keep
following the platforms around and eventually you will reach a rainbow road.
Follow the road and you will find another machine.

* In the area in which you found Thimble, go to the top right hand corner. You
will notice a passage, go through this passage and on the other side is a
cloud platform. Jump on this and follow the buildings/platforms around.

* You should come to a swirly. At the top jump on the cloud platform.
On the next platform will be...

HOW DO I GET IT?: You should come to a swirly if you follow the previous

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Thunder cloud attack.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Carry on along this path and climb some steps. Here you
will find another interruption- a super flame power-up. You must destroy every
Lightning cloud using the super-flame. Use targeting (triangle) to get every
1 of them. For this you will Takehiro.

  DRAGONFLY 41 - RICK - PART 2

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Now you will be able to get the final machine. Dive into
the pool and go up the tunnel on the far side. Now do this rather difficult
jump and electric-breath the machine. The jump may take some time but it can
be done. Just get to the very edge of the platform and glide and hover across.
It will take some practice so don't assume that you'll do it first time.

Along the next platform is the game exit you will receive Rick.

HOW DO I GET IT?: To find Goose- From where you found Margret, go inside the
room at the top of the ladder. In this room is Goose.

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Spitfire-Sky base.

HOW DO I GET IT?: From where you found Goose climb up the cogs, and then climb
up the ladder and go across the cogs along the roof. In a passage in the
right-hand wall is a portal. Inside this portal you are in the spitfire again.
This time you need to destroy 4/4 battleships, which take rather a lot of
damage. Again you will have 5 hit points and if you lose these you will have
to restart the challenge.

My advice for taking out the battleships would be to fire at one, and then the
next, and then the next. Do this going in a clockwise/anti- clockwise
direction. Please don't just concentrate on one and then when that is
destroyed, concentrate on the next, as this is harder. Don't shoot down the
flying Riptocs, as you can just avoid them.

When all 4 battleships are destroyed you will receive Tweedle.

ALTENATIVE EXPLIANATON: You don't have to take a little bit of life off of
each when you go round. You can take them out one at a time.

  DRAGONFLY 47 - SAVINO

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: On the loose.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Savino is near the rainbow road. On the pillars/platforms

HOW DO I GET THEM?:  The rainbow speedway has two modes- Time attack and
Race the Riptocs. You will receive a dragonfly for completing each.

Fly through the 10 rings without much trouble.

Now to your  left will be the first star, jumping up and down on a
cloud. 9 more will follow this one. To make the stars count you need to
flame each of them.

When you have done the final star, there will be a rainbow road to your
right. Super charge along it and smash the go-karts along the way.
Make sure that you are charging in the opposite direction to the go-
karts, as this saves time.

When you have smashed all 10 go karts, take flight and  fly in the opposite
direction to the Riptocs, flaming them along the way.

When you have done all 10 of these this is the completion of  Time Attack mode
and you will be awarded with Tashistation.

  RACE THE RIPTOCS
 ~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

I will now take you through a lap of the race. Follow this  lap 3 times to
complete the race- hopefully winning it. By the way if you miss a ring you will
have to restart the race. Okay lets go!

Take the first 6 rings easily, now hang a right and just go wide of the
building. Here is a star speed boost. Take the next 2 rings and hang a wide
right again for another star. Stay out wide to collect a rocket for use against
the Riptocs (O).

Take the next 3 rings and get another speed boost. After the next ring hang a
sharp right to get another speed boost. Take the next couple of rings and this
should be the end of the lap. Do this same lap another twice. Make sure you
finish 1st though. When you have successfully won the race you will be awarded
with Grayson.

using this turret. Now glide to the ground. On your left are some steps, go
to the top of these stairs and you will see a ledge in front of you. Glide

HOW DO I GET IT?: Head right (past Bartholomew's house)and carry on until
Zoe saves your progress. A little further on you will meet Brother Marcus.
He will ask you to deal with the flying Riptocs. Do this by getting on the
swirly and using the turret. You should only be able to get 1 or 2 from here.
So when you an get no more from here look over the cliff see the platform the
turret on it? That's where your headed. Once you have taken all of the Riptocs
out then you will be awarded with Gaku.


 ===============
  FREEING YOUNG
 ===============

Go up swirly next to brother Marcus. From the turret you should be able to
glide to a ledge on your right. Here there will be a key (this is used to free
Young from the chest) and also there will be some platforms. At the end of
these platforms is a portal. Please note, before you can reach this platform,
you will have to set off the rocket next to the exit portal.

"The key to riding the slide is to stay on the slide". When you reach the
bottom you will be awarded Cueburt.

have to restart. By the way this isn't easy.

land on a tree with an extra life in it. From this tree you should be able to

HOW DO I GET IT?: Now go up a kind of jetty thing and then you will come to

HOW DO I GET IT?: Now make your way through the tunnel and you will come out
at a honey-lake. Use the honey-combed platforms to reach the other side of the
lake, not forgetting to switch off the still. When you reach the other side
speak to the guy and he will tell you that he wants you to clear the beehives.
Do this by spitting watermelon seeds at the beehives. Also take out any bees
causing you trouble. When you have smashed all of the beehives, return to
(him) and we will give you Lily.

HOW DO I GET IT?:  From where you met (name), go to your right and climb the

this tree and then to the next. On this next tree will be Gori.

HOW DO I GET IT?: When you've turned off all of the stills (machines), talk to

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Honey Slide.

HOW DO I GET IT?: If you go to the left  of the exit portal, there is a path
behind the honey-fall. Go along this path and through the tunnel and there
should be a ledge to your left. Jump on this ledge and turn around. To your left
you should see a portal inside a cave.

Inside this portal is the Honey Slide. Two-Eyed Willy (a strange name in my
opinion) tells you that a bee has a dragonfly and that you must chase it to
the bottom of the slide.

In this slide you have a whole manner of obstacles to contend with including-
logs, flowers, gaps in the ground and narrow paths. You must keep within sight
of the bee to be following him. If he loses you or you fall down a hole you
will have to restart the pursuit. But you should finish a good way ahead of him
anyway. When you get to the bottom, Two Eyed Willy will tell you that he got
the dragonfly from the bee and that he will give it to you. The dragonfly is
Clubtail.

ATLAS DESCRIPTIONS: Oasis time trial + Oasis Race

HOW DO I GET THEM?: On the next platform after you caught Jordan, look to
left and you will see a portal- go inside it.

This portal is the Oasis Speedway. There are again, 2 modes here- Time
attack and Race the thieves. You will receive two dragonflies if you
complete both.

  TIME ATTACK

Again, you should have no trouble with the 10 rings.

After you have done the rings, there is a lighthouse on your right, which
the flying thieves are flying round. Note that they are not in a line- they
are just randomly spaced about, so you'll have to flame quickly.

When you have burned all 10 thieves, to the left of the lighthouse are the
cobras. You must flame these also but thankfully they are all in a line.

When you have flamed the final cobra, to your left is a track, on which the
camels are running. Make sure that you run in the opposite direction to the
camels, as to save time.

When you have charged down all of the camels, time attack mode is complete
and Sparx will give you Coppertop, which the thieves gifted you for your
'impressive flying'.

  RACE THE THIEVES
 ~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

I will now take you through one lap of the course. If you follow this same
lap three times, you should win the race. Don't forget, if you miss a ring
or fall in the water then you will have to restart the race. So with that
START YOUR ENGINES!

take the first 2 rings and then to your left should be a rocket (for use
against the thieves), now take the next the next ring and get the speed
boost star. In quick succession there is another star- but you have to go
through a ring before you get it.

Now take the next 3 rings and hang a sharp right and go into a tunnel. In
this tunnel there is a star, and as you exit tunnel there is another. Take
the next 3 rings and go round the back of the lighthouse, here is the final
speed-boost star. Now take then final 2 rings with speed.

Sparx will award you with Neo.

  RELEASE RACKET
 ================

A bit further along in the game you will be asked by Thievy Yu to open a
door. To do this dive under the water and charge the big yellow buttons
inside the caves, in the sides of the lake. There are 4 buttons in total.
When you have pushed every button, make your way up to the door. On your
way you will find a key, used to release Racket from a chest a little later
on.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Now, I know this is a pain in the ass but I didn't make the

you defeat the first wizard on your right should be a tunnel held up by wooden
beams. To the left of this tunnel is a huge abyss. Glide down here and to your
right Atsumi is perched on a narrow ledge above a waterfall.

holes in it. Be careful not to fall down here or you'll not do the challenge.
The final 2 are behind the Ice Challenge Portal, on platforms- get these
quickly and you will release Marta.

your right you will see 2 other platforms. The nearest is the very start
of the level. The far one will lead you to a chest containing Racket. The
whereabouts of the key are mentioned between Neo and Martin.

  DRAGONFLY 80 - MORPHEUS
 =========================

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Platform Pandemonium

HOW DO I GET IT?: When you go up the 2nd swirly, behind you,will see some
cracks in the wall. Charge at these and a new room will be revealed, which
contains a wizard and portal.

Inside the portal, go down the steps and you will see 5 rotating platforms
with aerials on. Electric breath all of the aeriels and you will be taken
towards more platforms. DON'T try and glide to the wizard now as he is too
far away. Instead wait until the platform stops moving forward and stats to
go back. If you try to glide before then you won't be able to glide properly
and you will likely as not die.

When you are on the other platforms, electric-breath all of the aerials
on these platforms, don't forget the one's up the steps. This isn't easy
so keep at it. When you have electric-breathed all of the aerials, go up
the steps to the upper level and you will see the wizard has been lowered
to your level. Unlike the other wizards, you can just use one of your
breaths against this one. When you have killed him, the thief will award you
will Morpheus.

Flame-breath each statue in this order- red, green, blue, purple and then
yellow. When you have done this Scarlett will appear in the centre of the
room.

notice 2 things. Below on the left-hand side of the bridge, you will
see a Lightning Challenge Portal and just a normal portal.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Again you will have to electric-breath 8 aerials. The

* Now turn around and you should see another 4 on the other side of the
Challenge Portal.

* Now you should have 3 remaining. Climb up the slanting ladders on the
side of the temple, when you get to the top, there are 2 on your right.

* Still on top of the temple to your left is the final aerial.

You will now be awarded Karen.

  DRAGONFLY 85 - SAJI

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Lava Slide

HOW DO I GET IT?: Inside the portal Professor Squeek tells you that the
volcano is about to blow! Slide down the slide and when you reach the
bottom Professor Squeek will give you Saji.

On this slide you will encounter such hazards as- Lava rivers, narrow
paths, gaps in the ground, jumping lava and huge, massive rolling balls.
Oh yeah, did I forget? There is lava chasing you down the slide. But don't
worry, unless you are extremeley slow, it'll never catch you. If you die,
like on all the other slides, you won't lose a life, you will just have
to restart the slide.


 ======================
  DRAGONFLY 86 - JASON
 ======================

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: On the lava.

HOW DO I GET IT?: Inside the first (sort of) temple, you will meet Dr.
Kogan. He wants you to recover his equipment from the R-1000's.

Anyway, pass through the shield power-up and you will be able to walk on
the lava. To defeat the R-1000's, all you have to do is Ice-breath them
and then charge into them. Then pick up the pieces which they drop.

Note: You don't have to get all of the parts in one go, you can go back
as many times as you want to renew your power-up. When you have killed
all of the R-1000's, and collected all of the pieces of equipment which
they drop, return to Kogan and he will give you Jason.

If you are having trouble finding the last R-1000, then it is probably
this one- From the shield power-up go straight forward and you will come
to a cave with red rays of light in it. Inside the cave is the final
R-1000 and a portal...

* Note on this platform is another shield power-up.

  DRAGONFLY 87 - WARREN
 =======================

NAME: Warren

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Tower

HOW DO I GET IT?: Inside the afore mentioned portal is a tower. You must
climb to the top of this tower. Sound simple enough, but you will soon
see...

Now I am going to tell you one route- the route that I use, but as I
understand it, there are numerous routes.

You will have 5 hit points, and if you lose these hit points, you will
have to restart the challenge. Ok, let me at it...

Climb the ladder on your left hand side, watch out for the falling rocks
of they hit you, you will lose one hit point and fall down to the bottom.

When you have got past the first lot of falling rocks, you will be met
by some tarantulas, just avoid these as they will not attack you.

When you are past the tarantulas, head to your right (avoiding the
double set of falling rocks) and you should come to more tarantulas.
When you get past these (being careful of the one patrolling the final
part of the ladder) you will reach the top.

Professor Squeek will reward you with Warren.

  DRAGONFLY 88 - MITCH
 ======================

COLOUR: Yellow

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: On The Lava

HOW DO I GET IT?: When you first step onto the lava, look to your left
and near a cliff is Mitch.

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Thief Chase

HOW DO I GET IT?: When you leave the portal, go back past Kogan and take
the bridge on your left. You will emerge in an open area, and Dr. Snivels
will ask you to recover something for him, which a thief has stolen.

Go through the shield power-up and chase down the thief. Go back to Dr.
Snivels and he will reward you with Bonky.

  DRAGONFLY 90 - WONKY
 ======================

NAME: Wonky

COLOUR: Blue

ATLAS DESCRIPTION: Attack of the cavemen.

HOW DO I GET IT?: While you were chasing the thief, you should have noticed a
cave with a shield power-up and a mouse in it. Go there now and you will find
the the 'mouse' is actually Dr. Egghead. If you have killed all of the Riptoc
cavemen he will then reward you with Wonky. The exit portal is down the hole
next to you.

===============================================================================

This section tell of the ways in which you have to beat Ripto in the game. You
will have to fight him 3 times at 70% complete, 85% and 100%. The portal in
which you will find him is found in the south of Dragon Realms, next to the
river, near the gap in the landscape which leads to the Electric Gate. The
portal is in the ground not stood upright. This first meet will require you to
have 70% game completion.

Go up to Ripto and he will say that he hates dragons...especially purple
dragons. He will then cast spell and a protective wall of crystals will
surround him. He will then go off to the edge of the ring and will fire 3
crystals at you. To avoid them, simply charge (square) until he has fired all
three. Once you have one this, he will fire three waves of crystals along the
ground at you. To avoid these, jump over or to the side of them. Afterwards,
run towards Ripto and flame-breath the crystal wall once. This will decrease
the size of the crystals. Ripto will now race to the other side of the ring.
Repeat this another 8-10 times and the protective wall will disappear. This
will leave Ripto exposed. Note that if you die at this time, you will return
to this point. Anyway, repeat all of the above actions, but you will
flame-breath Ripto instead. After you have flamed him three times, he will
accept defeat.

Now, if you hold down L3 and R3, Sparx the dragonfly will point towards
the nearest treasure. This will make getting the rest of the treasure
much easier.

You will need 85% game completion to unlock this battle.

Ripto will cast spell and a protective wall of crystals will surround him. He
will then go off to the edge of the ring and will fire 3 crystals at you. To

one this, he will fire three waves of crystals along the ground at you. To
avoid these, jump over or to the side of them. Afterwards, run towards Ripto
and flame-breath the crystal wall once. This will decrease the size of the
crystals. Ripto will now race to the other side of the ring. Repeat this
another 8-10 times and the protective wall will disappear. This will leave
Ripto exposed. Note that if you die at this time, you will return to this
point. Anyway, repeat all of the above actions, but you will flame-breath
Ripto instead. After you have flamed him once, he will cast another spell
surrounding him with a wall of fire balls, and he will also make himself grow.
You must do the same as the previous spell.

He will then go off to the edge of the ring and will fire 4 fire balls at you.
To avoid them, simply charge (square) until he has fired all four. Once you
have done this, he will fire three waves of fire balls at different heights
at you. To avoid these, jump over the low ones and let the high ones pass over
you. Afterwards, run towards Ripto and ice-breath fire wall once. This will
decrease the size of the fire balls. Ripto will now race to the other side of
the ring. Repeat this another 8-10 times and the protective wall will
disappear. This will leave Ripto exposed. Now simply ice-breath Ripto once and
he will be defeated. If you die after you have cleared the fire-balls you will
return to find Ripto still exposed.

Ripto exposed. Note that if you die at this time, you will return to this
point. Anyway, repeat all of the above actions, but you will flame-breath
Ripto instead. After you have flamed him once, he will cast another spell
surrounding him with a wall of fire balls, and he will also make himself grow.
You must do the same as the previous spell.

He will then go off to the edge of the ring and will fire 4 fire balls at you.
To avoid them, simply charge (square) until he has fired all four. Once you
have done this, he will fire three waves of fire balls at different heights
at you. To avoid these, jump over the low ones and let the high ones pass over
you. Afterwards, run towards Ripto and ice-breath fire wall once. This will
decrease the size of the fire balls. Ripto will now race to the other side of
the ring. Repeat this another 8-10 times and the protective wall will
disappear. This will leave Ripto exposed. Now simply ice-breath Ripto once and
he will be defeated. If you die after you have cleared the fire-balls you will
return to find Ripto still exposed.

Now the spell which Ripto casts, turns him into a cave-man like brute. To
defeat him- He will hit the ground with his sceptre/club and send shockwaves
along the ground. To avoid it, simply jump over this. He will do this twice,
then he will fire 3 crystals at you and you must charge to avoid them. After
he has done this a couple of times, he will rest his club/sceptre on the ground
as to 'charge it up'. Quickly charge over and electric-breath the sceptre/club.
Repeat this 5 or 6 times and you will have defeated him once and for all. Now
sit back and enjoy the deep sense of satisfaction you have for completing the
game.

1) On the same ledge as RJ the dragon (who can't reach his kite) and Dawn the
green dragonfly. The ledge is 'Lonely Island' which you glide to at the right
of the fourth dragon-master.

2) Across the bridge to the right of the fourth dragon-master, in the
corridor. In the same corridor as Cinder the orange dragonfly. Outside the
tank mini-game.

3) On the same ledge as Dougy the dragon who has also lost his kite. To get
to the ledge, glide to it after you have freed the final dragon-master. It
is on the right.

1) Underneath the first born/bridge which is straight ahead of you from the
start of the level.

2) Go to the place where you electric-breath the aeriel to get the UFO
platform the second time. Use it as a platform to reach the second floor of

1)On the wooden ledge above Socrates prison, it overlooks the first lake.
To get to it, go through the first underwater tunnel and follow the route
around and you will come to it.

the level. To get to it, follow the route around to it when you have emerged
from the second underwater tunnel.

1) When you come to the first set of large tree stumps that are used as steps,
it is on the second from top one, concealed from view by the top one.

2) On the left hand bank of the honey river, near the large wooden jetty which
is near the tall orange flowers.

3) On a tree just past the 'In The Treetops' dragonfly. It's just before you
get the key needed to open the chest.

1) On the same platform as the first turrock, the platform is near the spiral
ramp, which Brother Ricco is at the top of.

2) Next to Gunther the frozen yeti. He is the one at the top of the stairs, to
the right of the exit portal.

* Sometimes when you enter/exit a level, the game may crash, this is especially
common on the second battle with Ripto and Cloud Nine. The only way which I
can see for you to deal with this is to save the game before you enter these
levels.

* Sometimes you will notice that Spyro has a broken neck! It will kind of loll
to one side. This will not effect your gameplay, but to deal with it  enter or
exit a level.

* Sometimes on Crop Circle Country, the final cow which you have to round up
does not appear. Exit the level to sort this, but if it does not work, you may
have to restart the game entirely.

* Occasionally, just as you enter/exit a level, the ground will not appear and
the game will crash. Turn off your console and you will be returned to your
last save-point.

* Sometimes, enemies freeze for no apparent reason. Don't worry, this is an
advantage to you, as they are easier to kill.

* If you charge to close to a wall, you may stop in mid-air as though you hit
the wall. This is just another mistake in the game.

* When you select the atlas, on occasion the background will not appear for it.
Just press square to get off of the atlas then select it again.

* Sometimes when you fall off a building, or a tower you will fall a
little way. Then just suspend there, though Spyro is still acting like he's
falling.
