The job of this FAQ is to provide in-depth information about the various unit
types of the game. This covers all the generic storebought units for now.
Hopefully I'll be expand and develop the FAQ to be even more comprehensive
later on.

On terminology:

Stat growths are the -average- stat gain the unit will gain per level. There is
some random variance in natural leveling, but this is the average score.
Storebought units will always gain the average stat gain from level 3 onwards
on the levels they gain stats. 20% of storebought levels are entirely devoid of
stat growth, which is the main argument for raising your own units.

Leader bonus is the amount of the unit's stats that are added to the squad
leader's stats. This has no effect if the unit is the leader.

Range refers to the range the squad can attack from when unit of choice is the
leader.

For combat skills, I've marked the amount of uses available and the area of
effect. F being front unit, M middle row, and R rear row.

Uses of combo skills can be increased by having at least double the amount of
units required for the combo in your squad.

For tactics, I've marked them with (1), (2), or (3) depending on how many units
are necessary to use the tactic. Their uses are increased by increasing the
number of units of that type by that number.

For tactics with target as "ally" or "enemy", the standard range is 5. If you
have at least 3 of the unit, range is increased to 6 and there is a 1x3 area of
effect. If you have at least 6 of the unit, range is increased to 7 and the
area of effect becomes + shaped. "Self" means the squad you're in.

Attack matches are how effective your squad is offensively against another
squad. This is determined by the hearts (marked as O in this guide) and skulls
(marked as x in this guide) you see when attacking a squad. Attack match DOES
NOT AFFECT THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE YOU TAKE IN RETURN. Even if you attack
something you have 2 skulls against, you may take pitiful damage in return
because that squad's attack match against you is 2 skulls as well.

Note: ATTACK MATCH IS ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON THE SQUAD'S LEADER. An Archer squad
attacking Pyremages in a Redflank-led squad is much less effective than one
attacking a pure Pyremage squad.

Defensive match is a term I use for the amount of damage a squad takes from
other squads, XX (2 skulls) being a good thing defensively and OO (2 hearts)
being a very bad thing defensively.

Random tidbits about the game that don't fit in the other sections and don't
merit their own.

The room type Heaven Help Us has a misleading description. It heals 30% of the
HP of the -adjacent- squads, friend or foe, at the start of each of the squad's
turns.

In addition to enhancing decors, room stars also increase unit stats by 1%
each, up to 25%.

One question I see asked a lot is what various "x becomes usable" room decors
do. They enable the use of various powerful 1 use tactics, they are as follows.

Adon: ATK/INT +30% for ALL allied squads
Nacht: ACT +50% for ALL allied squads
Yama: Disables movement for enemies for a period of time.
Wilter: Fully heal ALL allied squads' HP
Mewlin: Double EXP and GP gains for ALL allied squads
Nergal: Damages EVERYONE but the user. Seems to be gravity damage, so non-fatal
Sacrei: ALL enemy squads have their tactic and skill uses reduced by 1
