Although I didnt play Socom 1 online, I did play socom 2 extensively. Socom 3 is definetly a very impressive game with significant improvements over Socom 2. The most noticable changes are the Map sizes and the total player count. Zipper bumped up the player size to 32 total players. Along with that they increased the map sizes to the point where you can and will get lost! In this guide I'll go over many of the Online features along with a few tips for success. ============================================================================== 001 GETTING STARTED ============================================================================== ## .,;x#####;,##. ## -#--, ==## ## . = ## x x# .x,,,#= ..##x####++X-+x x.;;=,,,xx+;=x =X . .=;+-+#############x#####= ,+==-; - +=, =##;##=##+##X+- ., ; . ..,,,-+ ##############x# #- . .=;=x=====++x++#--=-xx==xxX###X####x###X##+#x ##- ,;;;-;;,;,.=x##x.. . .+= ;; ; -.;= ;.;;-;+- x; ##x############; -==#++xx###;-;.;,-.=###x## x;;####Xx+=-;,;#- = #.+-;,x ; . Zipper provided a "Fast Login" choice right from the main menu that will go automate many of the steps required to get online with Socom 3. From the main menu you simply would push "Circle" on your PS2 Controller. This will then choose your default network settings, will select your username, and bring you directly to the User Agreement. *NOTE: Fast Login will be enabled on the menu after you successfully login manually to Socom 3. (i.e. Choose which network settings you would like to use, along with the Username you want to login as.) After successfully logging into Socom 3 you will be at the Main Menu. From here, you can choose from several different tabs. *********** 1a Briefing The briefing menu of Socom 3 is similar to Socom 2 in the sense *********** of what its used for, however visually it is quite different. The submenus for the Briefing are as follows: Briefing - Choose what server you want to Join (i.e. US East 1) Join Game - Join a room in a particular server (i.e. Crucible Demo) Create Game - Allows you to create a room on a server Spectate - Allows you to go into a room and watch Filters - *********** 1b Autoplay Auto play on Socom 3 actually works! It allow you to join a room *********** based on certain perameters that you choose. The submenus for the Autoplay are as follows: Map Name - Choose which map you would like to play (i.e. Harvester) Game Type - Which game mode you want (i.e. demo, suppression, etc) Score Type - Play in a Rank or Unranked Game (more on this later) # of Players - How many players Advanced Options - Reset - Resets your filters to the System Default Search for Games - Choose this to search for a game based on your filters. ************ 1c Community The community Menu is an new addition to Socom. It is a central ************ point for many of the features of Socom 3. The submenus for the Community Tab are as follows: Socom 3 Daily - Polls, News, and Surveys about Socom Leaderboards - Here you can see who the players of Socom 3 are featuring different lists, individual weekly and monthly Clan Ladders - This tab is very important if you are part of a clan. From here you can see all the different clan ladders. Message Boards - Message boards for Socom 3 users. Boards included here are General Discussion, Clans, Gameplay, Weapons, Vehicles, Issues/Exploits, and Tech Support Personal - Here you can manage your account, you can email other players, edit your profile, Feedback - This is where you would go to send feedback to Zipper regarding the game. Help - Here you can view the online manual and other FAQ's ************ 1d Clan Info Clans are a group of players who have decided to become a team. ************ Clans are essentially the heartbeat of Socom. The sub menus for Clan info are as follows: Clan name - Name your clan here, once you choose your name you cannot change it Clan tag - Here you can choose the 3 letters the will represent your clan. This you can change whenever you'd like. Manage clan - Here you can work with your clan options which are: Appoint new leader - Used to apoint a new clan leader in the event that you no longer want to manage it Leave clan - You can only leave a clan if you after having assigned a new clan Leader Disband clan - When all else fails, use this to break up and leave your clan. This will also leave any current clan members "Clan-less" Remove player - If you want to get rid of a particular player use this to get rid of Him Change clan tag - If you get bored of your clan tag you can change it here One of the greatest improvements to Socom 3 has been the addition of the community feature. For clans, what this means is that you no longer have to search for a Clan Battle or "War". Essentially all you have to do is join a particular ladder (which is mentioned above under community). Only the clan leader can join ladders. (You can only be a member of 2 ladders at a time. For ex. My clan belongs to the Weekend and the Evening Ladders) Once your clan becomes a member of a ladder you can then challenge a clan to a battle, or be challenged by another clan on the ladder you belong to. The community screen will will feature the Join/Edit option in addition to the other options referenced just above this section. *********** 1e Options Here you can change your Socom 3 Settings both online and offline *********** MP Options - Under this menu you will find options specific to Socom 3 Online (Multiplayer) MP Teamate names On/Off Receive Ingame Messages On/Off Whispter Messages On/Off Enable Fast Login On/Off *Note all options under the MP Options menu are set to On by default. (note if you just joined the room, the player list will take a moment to load) Spawn Point This tab allows you to choose which spawn point you would like to start at. This is especially important in the Larger maps (i.e. Killing Fields) Armory Armory doesnt require much of an explanation. In this view you choose which weapons you wouldlike your character to spawn with, along with which character skin you want to have Map This tab shows you what map you will be playing, the type of game, weapon restrictions, day/night, etc. *********** 2b Teamwork *********** Teamwork in Socom 3 is 2x's if not 3x's more important that the previous 2 versions. With the maps being so huge and the inclusion of vehicles, teamwork becomes a key component of gameplay during online play. Here are some things to remember while playing online. 1. Dont go at it alone. Trying to be a one man team will pretty much guarantee your demise. Make sure that if you're traveling somewhere, try to have 1 or more additional players with you. Keep in mind distance however.. make sure you have ample room betweem you and the person/s you are traveling with. This way should you encounter an enemy you will not be line of sight of your teammates and vice-a-versa 2. Call out your mines, the last thing you want to do is start off a round with a team kill because you didnt call out your mines. Mines in Socom 3 are no where near as deadly on the larger maps, however you should still look out for these in close quarters maps. (i.e. Citadel, Fault) 3.Leap Frog - When going into rooms and turning tight corners, the leap frog process helps in sharing the load. In this process 1 person goes into a room/ turns corner first, then the others follow behind. Then the 2nd person in the line formation then takes the lead into the following room, then the 3rd, so on and so forth. 4. Use the mic!! The mic is there for reasons other than talking about what you ate for dinner. It is a vital piece of gameplay. Make sure you tell your teammates what you're currently doing. For ex. If you're playing a game of "Control" then call out which Nav Point your heading to. Or, if you are getting shot at, call out your location, and indicate which direction you think the shots were coming from. That way if you die your teammates will have an area to search vs the entire map. 5. Find out who is playing what position, and stick to it. If you're going to run and gun, then stick to it, if you're going to snipe then stick to that. There is nothing worse then to have an entire seal team of snipers. Mix it up. Play your position with pride. 6. Keep your eye on the Compass. In Socom 3 the player names of your teammates do not always show up so there is a good chance that you'll get some team kills the first few times you play. In the compass your teammates show up as blue dots, that way you know someone friendly is around. Also, if someone on your team is in a vehicle, it will show up as a blue box. If an enemy is in a vehicle, then it will show up as red box. 7. Check your Player list periodically to see who's still alive. This way you can determine your plan of attack such as whether or not to camp, or go out with gunz blazin'. 8. Socom 3 allows for 16 vs 16 Battle. This allows for many different possibilities of strategies. You can split up your team in to 4 groups of 4. Or you can to 2 groups of 8. You get the idea, the point is. Make sure that your team decides on a strategy. Having everyone going everywhere alone defeats the purpose of teamwork. It works in your interest to have a game plan, this way you can work tactically vs stupidly. **************** 2c Sportsmanship **************** Folks lets get one thing straight...Socom is a game if you got killed, dont get on the mic and start saying.. "He's Glitching... or "What a noob, using that Airburst". Just take it like a man, you'll have all of the next round to get your revenge. Also, Socom hasnt been exploited that bad (as of now) in terms of glitching. Im sure this will change in the coming months. Dont always point the finger and accuse that person of glitching. If its blatantly obvious that the person is glitching, that is what the voting system is for. There is also, the feedback system under community to inform Zipper of these exploits. ********************* 2d General Strategies ********************* 1. Make sure you have a controller preset that you are most comfortable with. The default settings is precision shooter, however you can change it in the Socom 3 Options menu. I used this setting for all of Socom 2, but have change my setting for Socom 3, Since I prefer to have my Mic button set to L2. Which ever you choice, make sure that you are comfortable with it. Changing your Deadzone and and Lookspeed have a significant impact on your gameplay. Turning them to high may make it difficult to manage; too low and your character will turn like a snail. 2. When moving from one place to another, make sure you use cover to your advantage. Many of the maps have wide open areas which are a snipers dream. Never run in a straight line, Jump around like an idiot if you have to. Do what ever it takes not to be stationary. Also, use 3rd person view to your advantage to "Preview" what is behind a wall. 3. Before starting a game choose a weapon that will be the most appropriate for the map. If you're going to be playing in a Small map, then there is rarely a reason to equip an AT-4 or RPG (although some people do this). Pick a weapon that has a high firerate. Personally I tend to stick with assault rifles vs SMG's for the fact that they are ALOT more accurate. If you're sniping, then make sure you equip a good scope (High Scope is the most versitile scope). 4. When you're face to face with the opposing team ... Start shooting. If you have any experience with the previous version of Socom you know that the one thing you never do is just stand there and shoot. Move around, never stay still. Strafing is one of the best tactics that you can do. Also, keep in mind your weapon choice. Dont try shooting at someone who is far away if you have a 9mm Sub or a Shot Gun as your bullets will never reach them. 5. Stealth. Enough Said. Zipper has included Ghuille Suites for online play. Having this suit on along with a silenced weapon will make you practically invinsible. If you're hiding somewhere, try not to make sudden movements as this give away your position. Having a silenced weapon greatly increases your chances of survival by concealing where you are shooting from. Pick your position well, also try to grab a spot that has your rear covered i.e have your back to a wall. Keep in mind when you hiding/camping others may have a thermal scope equiped, and may have a clear sight of you. So, dont get to comfortable in one spot. 6. If you see someone coming at you, but he/she doesnt see you .. be patient. Dont just start shooting. Taking a premature shot, will usually result in wasting bullets and giving away your position. 7. If you encounter an enemy and manage to kill him/her chances are that you went through several bullets. Make sure that you manually reload so you have a fresh clip when you encounter the next bad guy. 8. Grenades arent as frequent as say Frost Fire or Desert Glory on Socom 2. However, they are just as deadly. Use these when you want to clear a room, flush bad guys out of a camping spot, or to take break up a group of enemys. Keep in mind the distance and the arc though. If you through the frag too high, then it will just explode in the air doing no damage. Lucky grenade kills are pretty much non existant in Socom 3, although they do still occur. Remember, you may get some extra distance or height if you bounce it off of something, i.e. rock, ceiling, window, etc. 9. If you're sniping make sure you have your rear covered with some mines or claymores. It may also be a good idea to have a spotter with an assault rifle with you to take out enemys that may come close. 10. Socom 3 now gives you the ability to swim across water. In addition you can go underwater while swimming. This is pretty important since if you are in deeper water you're pretty much a sitting duck. Dont get me wrong you can still be seen however, you are less visible to your enemy. Also, when in knee deep water you can crouch. This will submerge your player underwater while still giving you the opportunity to quicky move and attack. While crouching you can also hold the d-pad left/right which will hide your character a bit more beneath the surface of the water. ********************* 2e Vehicle Strategies ********************* . . = = , .. ; + ,, # .- # = ##### # + X# +###### # x , X######## # # # ######x # ,x #######X- x. Vehicles are a new addition to Socom. These are especially essential on the larger Maps (Harvester, Crucible). When your driving, dont drive like an ass, unless your alone. If you have teammates with you, and you dont know the map, then have someone else drive. It is very aggravating to have someone drive around in circles because they dont know the map. Also, you put yourself and your teammates in jeopardy by doing so. 2. When driving it is in your interest to have a gunner with you. Also make sure you look around for people who may want a ride. That individual may be trying to get the mic, but cant due to others speaking, etc. 3. Do NOT Drive in a Straight line. By now, many Socom snipers have learned to snipe a moving vehicle. The theory is the same as not Walking in a straight line. The last thing you want to do is serve yourself on a plate for a sniper to have a clean shot at you. All a sniper has to do is lead his target and shoot at where you will be, not where you are. Keep swerving the vehicle from side to side but refrain from a pattern. Make sporattic movements to keep the snipers guessing at your next move. 4. If your traveling with a full ride and you encounter resistance, have at least 1 or 2 guys get off the vehicle and attack the enemy. 9 out of 10 times your enemy will remained focused on the vehicle vs the players who dismounted. This will give you an opportunity to take out your enemy without him /her even realizing that you got dismounted. 5. You can run people over with your vehicle, however keep in mind your speed. I cant tell you how many times I've driven right over someone, but I was going to fast that the vehicle essentially goes right through the enemy. On the other side of the scale, I've killed my own teammate infront of me by accidentally tapping the gas.. which is like 1 MPH. So, just go at a moderate speed. 6. If your on a Vehicle mounted Turret, you're a sitting duck for a sniper. So, If there is room in the Vehicle, then you might want to be sitting inside while traveling and only mount the turrent when you encounter opposition. 7. You can use vehicles as roadblocks. For Ex. If you are playing a game of convoy and you are a seal, you can use your vehicles to block the path to the drop zone. 8. The Water based vehicles are pretty awesome. However, you are totally vulnerable to snipers, and enemy fire since there really isnt any armor. The SOC-R (Boat with 2 front turrents, and 1 rear Rocket Launcher) is the most effective water vehicle. It has great speed, and can carry 6 players (including yourself). Other water vehicles work well, but none as powerful as this. **************** 2f Communication **************** Let me preface this section with a few points. First, not everyone wants to play Socom in an organized manner. Most of the people that you'll run into online just want to have a good time, and play the game. Thats fine.. I do that all the time. However, when you want to play tactically, it is in your best interest to get everyone on board, and play as a team and not as individuals. With that said Below are some Heads 1. Get this is your head. The Mic is your life line, treat it that way. I cant tell you how many times I want to get the mic, and someone is just speaking garbage. This especially true if you are in a clan battle. Only use the Mic for battle talk. 2. If in a clan, schedule a few days to map out certain locations on each map. Give them names and make sure everyone knows the names of these locations. This way when your getting shot at, you can say " I got one over by the Hut" instead of saying "Im getting hit" and no one knows where you are. If your not in a clan, then try and be as detailed as possible about your location when giving out a call for help. 3. If you need to have the mic for an extended period of time, then simply request "HOLD THE MIC". THis is a common phrase used to ask everyone who is listening to hold all conversation while you speak, so as to not be interuppted. If you requested this, please dont be an ass and talk about random stuff. Try to use this only when needed such as trying to describe a complex tactic. ********* 2g Squads ********* Squads have now become a vital component of battle in Socom 3. During Socom 2 squads were somewhat common, however Squads have now graduated into the core of Socom 3. 1. Running with a squad of any number will greatly increase your chances of survical and success. 2. Keep a close eye on the members in your squad, and stay in contant communication with them, and never stray more than a few feet from another squad member. Its very easy to lose someone who's right next to you. With this said, always look on your radar to double check your location relative to theirs. 3. Make sure that your squad is equipped properly. Spread the load of weaponry amongst all members whether your squad is 2, 4, or 6, etc. Bottom line, dont walk around with 4 guys who are all packing sniper rifles. That is uneffective, although some would argure this point. 4. Certain Map types may merit a rearranging of your squad. For Ex, you may want to have a larger squad if your going to play a game of Convoy. You can send the larger squad to One load zone as a diversion, while a smaller group is sent to the other load point. 5. While moving from point A to point B, Make sure that you have 360 degree coverage. 1 or 2 individuals on point , 2 covering the left and right flanks, and 1 or 2 covering your six (rear). ============================================================================== 003 WEAPONS ============================================================================== #-x######Xx; . ### X =## , #; ;X==x+=-. ########x#x==+;+-., . # # ##############################+X-X=x########################################## ##xxxxxxxxxX===X#######; . x=++xX###########################x # ##xxxxxxx########-; #+######+;-x= - x#+x########; #;# ###### ;###### -###; . # ; # # ####. -+. # #### # ,X- #-.;#, ##++ Socom 3 Includes many of our favorite weapons from Socom 2, along with a few additions to arsenal. Many of the other game modes turn into suppression when people dont want to complete the other objectives i.e extract, convoy. With that said, you should make yourself familiar with the "Hotspots" for each map. Many times a player will continue to go the same route if he/she seems to be having luck with the route. Take a few rounds to familiarize yourself with the oppossing team. Look for a good place to hide, and just watch a round or two. Then when you get a feel for the players, try and use this research to your advantage during the up coming rounds. As mentioned earlier in this FAQ, make sure to have someone come with you or follow someone and be their "Wingman". This is crucially important to taking out the oppostion. Remember, if you're alone... and you die.. no one knows where the hell you are. Also remember the fact that you do NOT need to kill everyone on the other side to win the match. Simply have 1 more person on your team. Ive seen instances where I've where people 2 to 3 guys go after 1 person on the other team only to get owned by that person and lose the round. Play smart. If vehicles are turned on, send at least a group of 4 teammates to attack the opposing team. You This way you dont sacrifice your entire team. The tactic here is to bumrush during the first few moments of the round. The rest of your team mates can go through on foot and try to take out the remaining members of the other team. ************* 4b Demolition - (T/S) Find the Bomb and destroy the enemy base with it or ************* (T) Eliminate all Seals (S) Eliminate all Terrorists ================================ DEMOLITION ================================ Plant the bomb | 1point ================================ Destroy the base | 2 points ================================ Defuse the bomb | 1 point ================================ Demolition is another one of the Game Modes that came over From Socom 2. Most rounds usually start off with a "Mad Dash" to the satchel (bomb). During Character Selection, make sure that you choose an appropriate spawn point. Spawning close to the bomb will ensure that you get there the quickest however, keep in mind that you may face opposition ALOT sooner that the rest of your team. Split up your teams spawn points. Have a group near the satchel and another near the vehicles on the map. Your job as a driver is to run to your vehicle and haul ass over to where the satchel is and pick up your teammate who has hopefully secured the satchel. Drive over to the enemy base and jump out of the vehicle before going into the base territory. There is a good chance that there will be snipers protecting the base. Driving in there like a mad man will get you killed. Try and scope out the base and eliminate your enemy from afar if possible. If vehihcles are disabled, then have a majory of your team spawn by the satchel while having 2 or 3 snipers and 1 or 2 riflemen protecting the base. If you grab the satchel, get information and truck towards the enemy base. Depending on what map you are playing your path to the base can provide you plenty of cover and hiding areas, while others will leave you wishing for a rock or a bush. As always never run in a straight line to try and avoid sniper fire. Only the best snipers can hit a target that is moving and jumping sporadically. Like the other game modes, this may turn into a suppression match in which case please reference suppression which is listed above. If you encounter your enemy while on foot, quickly take a defensive position behind some cover if possible. ********* 4d Escort (O) Escort at least 2 VIP's to extraction zone before time ********* runs out. (D) Kill All VIP's (O) Kill all members of opposing team (D) Prevent Extraction of at least 2 VIP's before time runs out. ===================================== ESCORT ===================================== Escort a VIP | 3 points | ===================================== Kill a VIP |-2 points | OFFENSE ===================================== Kill a VIP | 3points | DEFENSE ===================================== In this game mode it is the seals job to keep the vips alive at all costs. There are basically just a few tactics here. Firstly a group of seals can escort the vips while providing covering fire. Doing this on foot can be a bit difficult due to the fact that at any moment your vips can be killed by enemy fire. A great tactic (if vehicles are enabled) is to have the team split up. Similar to the Demolition tactic with the Satchel. Basically have team "A" spawn with the vips, and have team "b" spawn next to the vehicles. It is ALOT easier to escort vips if they are in a vehicle. The vehicles provide cover for them from stray bullets. A Humvee has room for 5 so this is great for escorting all the hostagest while having a gunner to provide cover fire. Remember that all you have to do is enter the extraction zone to start the timer. Once you enter the Extraction you can just keep driving around if you're in a vehicle to avoid from having your vips killed. Drive until you see the timer reach zero. At this time, drive back to the Ex. and you will have successfully have extracted the vips. Tactics for the terrorists are quite simple. Set up a perimiter near both extraction zones. Make sure you have snipers at both extraction zones. The rest of the team should hold down a defensive position and have eyes on the Extraction. If you have a large player count, then send in a squad to attack the seals and try and eliminate the VIPS. It may be hard to find the VIPS, but thats the hardest part. Once you find them simply kill them and you will win the match. ************* 4c Extraction - (O) Extract at least 2 hostages to the extraction zone ************* (D) Prevent extraction (O/D) Kill all members of opposing team ==================================== EXTRACTION ==================================== Extract a hostage | 3 points| ==================================== Kill a hostage |-2 points| OFFENSE ===================================== Kill a hostage |-2 points| DEFENSE ====================================== Extraction along with excort can be difficult. These game modes demand teamwork and strategy to successfully extract the Hostages. Many tactics work hand in hand so feel free to reference Escort for info. The main difference between Extract, and Escort is that (as a seal) you have to go get the hostagest being guarded by the Terrorists vs spawning with them. Getting the hostages can be difficult (remember Desert Glory?) You want to make sure that you just dont go running in there gunz blazin. Make sure that you have a a squad that is on the offensive looking for terrorists, while a smaller group go for the Hostages. Keep in mind that there may be a possibility that the hostages are heavily guarded. But if Socom 2 is any reference, there is usually 1 maybe 2 people guarding the hostages. As terrorists, it may be a good idea to move the hostages to a location where the seals may kill the ********* 4e Breach (S) Breach Walls, Plant bomb and destroy enemy base ********* (T) Prevent the destruction of your base (T/S) Kill all members of opposing team ================================ BREACH ================================ Plant the bomb | 1 point ================================ Destroy the base | 2 points ================================ Defuse the bomb | 1 point ================================ The single most important thing to remember to load your character for breach is of course C4. The objective here is to breach the defenses of the terrorists and plant the bomb at the enemy base. If you manage to grab the bomb, then make sure you notify your teammates and have at least 2 people come with you. This way when you reach the base you can plant while your other teammates provide covering fire for you. Have you or one of your teammates grab some smoke grenades. This way after you plant the bomb it will make it a bit more difficult for your enemy to find the bomb and defuse it. Smoke grenades also come in handy while breaching walls. You can use this as a diversion making the enemy think your going to enter through there while your other teammates breach, and enter via another entrance. You can also try to simply overwhelm your enemy. Have your entire team gather at one of the breach points. Plant C4 and do a full blitz with your entire team. There is a good chance that the terrorists will not be expecting this. With this tactic, the satchel carrier runs straight for the plant while the rest of the team keeps the terrorists distracted in a fire fight. While playing as a terrorists its a good idea to run over to the breach point and plant some mines in the area. Keep in mind that C-4 will destroy the mine if it is placed too close to the breach point. This should act as a deterrent and will force seals to blow up the mine or go another way both of which are opportunities for you, since you'll be hiding near by. As in every game there are always a camper or two. This is a game mode where camping is a good idea. Pick yourself a good spot at the base and wait... then wait some more. If the seals are smart they will send in someone first to clear the room. Only attack if you're seen. If not, wait for the seal with the satchel to try and plant. This will prevent the clock from starting which is vital. After killing this seal, try and take out the other seal. *Note its a good idea when camping to have someone with you. 2 people should suffice, however you should keep checking to see how many total players are left on the opposing team cause you may be bumrushed by the seals, and lose the round. In this event.. plant a few mines near the base, or on the path to the base. If it doesnt get a kill, it will at least let you know that some one is coming. Finally you can choose to be a "Jumper". You can get over the breach and attack the seals. Although you may have success with this, its smarter to play a defensive role here. Remember the objective is defend you base as a terrorists. As long as you do this, you will win. ********* 4f Convoy (S) Destroy both convoy vehicles/ or prevent (T) from ********* reaching the drop zone with the convoy. Convoy is perhaps one of the more difficult game modes in Socom. As a terrorist you are being watched by the seals as soon as you start moving the convoy trucks. This game mode differs vastly from map to map simply because the routes are quite different. Bottom line, its all about choosing the right path. When you spawn as a terrorist you'll have a group of vehicles with you. 9 out of 10 times the Seals will be camping by the load zones. Take a group of technicals to the loads zones and try to flank the enemy. Keep the convoy trucks moving whatever you do. All the seals have to do is destroy the convoy trucks, so dont make it easy for them by giving a stationary target. Many players who equip AT4's/RPG's usually get excited and fire too early, or too late. Use this to your advantage. It is also a good idea to split up your team. Take a majority of the vehicles and a convoy truck to a loading zone. This will be your diversion team. The real convoy truck will be heading to the "further" loading zone (there are 2 loading zones one is usually further)along with a technical. This tactic has a really good success rate, however dont abuse it as your opposition will catch on to this. If you manage to start the loading process then immediately take cover. Hide behind or somewhere near the convoy truck, this way if a seal tries to attack the convoy truck, you'll be there to take him out. Seals tend to have the easier job on this game mode. All you have to do is camp. Tactically it makes sense to defend the load zones and the drop. It is more important to destroy the convoy trucks than to try and eliminate every enemy you see. If you have a group of seals near you, have a few guys focus on taking out the players, and have another few focus soley on destroying the convoy truck with whatever they may have (i.e. Rifle, Grenades, AT4's, etc) ********** 4g Control (T/S) Mark all checkpoints before the other team ********** (T/S) Kill all members of opposing team ================================ CONTROL ================================ Capture Nav Point | 1 point ================================ Control is a ton of fun. This is probably the most balanced game mode in Socom. There is no advantage on either side (assuming that there are equal players on both sides). The objective here is to run to control points as quickly as possible. Keep your eyes on the screen on this one as you will be notified when a control point has secured along with what the count is. (i.e. Seals have taken control of 2 out of 5 control points) Using vehicles greatly increases your chances of securing a control point first, however you're being watched. A good tactic for using the vehicles is keep moving. Have a group of guys with you and continue to drop them off as control points. If you're driving.. dont focus on anything else except this. Respectively if you are a passenger in a vehicle, your job is to set up a defensive position and protect the control points that have NOT yet been reached by your opposition. Defense is really important when theres only 1 control point left to secure. I cant stress this enough... having someone with you will GREATLY increase your chances for success in this game, and in this game mode. ============================================================================== 005 RANKING SYSTEM ============================================================================== Below is an explanation of the ranking system used in Socom 3. As of right now, the best resource for rank explanation is the Socom 3 Official Guide by Piggy Back. ******************BEGIN EXCERPT******************** The ranks are divided into two primary groups, the Enlisted and the Officers, each having a unique function. The Enlisted ranks serve as a form of training, in that players will have to play several games before progressing through them, while the Officer ranks make up the skill portion of the Ladder. ***************** 5a Enlisted Ranks ***************** ================================================ SR | SEAMAN RECRUIT | 0-4 GAMES | ================================================ SA | SEAMAN APPRENTICE | 5-15 GAMES | ================================================ SN | SEAMAN | 15-24 GAMES | ================================================ PO3 | PETTY OFFICER THIRD CLASS | 25-39 GAMES | ================================================ PO2 | PETTY OFFICER SECOND CLASS| 40-54 GAMES | ================================================ PO1 | PETTY OFFICER FIRST CLASS | 55-74 GAMES | ================================================ CPO | CHIEF PETTY OFFICER | 75-100 GAMES| ================================================ The Ranks are all earned by playing the game: to move up in these ranks, players must complete a certain number of 'Scored' games. These games played can result in both Wins and Losses and still be tallied into the total number of games played, to encourage players to remain in the game, rather than aborting if there is a chance they might lose. Although Enlisted players can only gain ranks by increasing the number of games they play, their total rating is still being tracked. **************** 5b OFFICER RANKS **************** ============================================================================ |ENS |ENSIGN |JUNIOR GRADE|81-100% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |LTJG |LT. JUNIOR GRADE |JUNIOR GRADE|66-80% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |LT |LIEUTENANT |JUNIOR GRADE|51-65% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |CDR |COMMANDER |MID GRADE |41-50% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |CAPT |CAPTAIN |MID GRADE |21-30% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |RADM-LH|REAR ADMIRAL LOWER HALF|FLAG |11-20% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |RADM-UH|REAR ADMIRAL UPPER HALF|FLAG |6-10% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |ADM |ADMIRAL |FLAG |0-1% ON OFFICER LADDER | ============================================================================ |FADM |FLEET ADMIRAL |FLAG |TOP 10 PLAYERS | ============================================================================ The Officer ranks make up the top portion of the ladder, where gaming skill is more important than racking up the hours played. The rating scores apply to these players, and are used to move them up and down the Officer ranks, in relation to the other Officers. There are eleven Officer ranks, separated into percentage brackets, which place the majority of the Officers in the lower ranks, and the smallest percentage in the top ranks. Players will be constantly shifting between these ranks and positions as their Rating changes. Ranking Tips Participate in full games: in the games where there are more players, there is a greater potential to earn more points. Play in games that have multiple rounds: In games where more rounds are played, there is a multiplier applied to the player ratings. Competing in an Eleven-round game will result in the greatest rating shift. Winning against higher ranked players will result in a larger increase in your rating. ********** 5c SCORING ********** ========================================= SOCOM 3 SCORING (SUPPRESSION) ========================================= KILLS |2 POINTS | ========================================= WIN ROUND |5 POINTS |ALL PLAYERS ON WINNING TEAM | |AWARDED, DEAD OR ALIVE ========================================= SURVIVE ROUND |1 POINT |(DONT DIE) ========================================= SUICIDE |-2 POINTS | ========================================= FRIENDLY KILL |-2 POINTS | ========================================= ******************** ******************** COMPLETED OBJECTIVES ******************** ******************** ================================ BREACH ================================ Plant the bomb | 1 point ================================ Destroy the base | 2 points ================================ Defuse the bomb | 1 point ================================ ================================ DEMOLITION ================================ Plant the bomb | 1point ================================ Destroy the base | 2 points ================================ Defuse the bomb | 1 point ================================ ================================ CONTROL ================================ Capture Nav Point | 1 point ================================ ================================ CONVOY ================================ Load Cargo Truck | 1 point ================================ Drop cargo | 2 points ================================ ===================================== ESCORT ===================================== Escort a VIP | 3 points | ===================================== Kill a VIP |-2 points | OFFENSE ===================================== Kill a VIP | 3points | DEFENSE ===================================== ==================================== EXTRACTION ==================================== Extract a hostage | 3 points| ==================================== Kill a hostage |-2 points| OFFENSE ===================================== Kill a hostage |-2 points| DEFENSE ====================================== ******************END EXCERPT******************** ONLINE EXPERIENCE While playing online you'll notice several things which may seem confusing at first, but then you realize why zipper chose to do certain things. For ex. If you blow up a vehicle (i.e. ALSV, SUV, or Pickup) with several players in it you will NOT be credited for killing those individuals. The same applies in the reverse. If you die as a result of a vehicle explosion it will not count as a death. One exception applies. If you manage to kill a player who is mounted on a turret of the vehilce mentioned above, then it will count as a kill. So to summarize ================================================================= Blow up Vehicle with people in it | NO KILLS COUNTED ================================================================= Die as a result of a vehicle explosion | NOT COUNTED AS A DEATH ================================================================= Kill someone mounted on a Vehicle Turrent| COUNTS AS A KILL ================================================================= UPDATE!!!! This problem has been solved as of 12/22/05 UPDATE!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------- A Patch has been released that solved several issues with Online Play The information is listed here for reference: **Note: The Following information is from http://socom3.scea.com** The SOCOM 3 1.2 Update (Patch) has been released. Please ignore this message and log into SOCOM 3 Online again. You will automatically download the patch again and the error message will no longer be displayed. The SOCOM 3 1.2 update addresses many issues including the following: * Resolved a hardware compatibility issue that was causing disconnects. * Resolved an issue with "slow" DHCP servers that prevented some players from obtaining an IP Address before timing out. * Resolved several issues where the player would be stuck with default weapons and equipment in game instead of the weapons and equipment they selected. * Resolved the Clan Challenge issue where the wrong team would receive a forfeit when the other team does not show for the match. * Updated libraries to resolve some of the voice chat issues. Some voice chat issues still remain and will be addressed in a future update. * Resolved several stability issues with ranked and clan games. * You now get credit for kills when you blow up a vehicle and the explosion kills other players. * Resolved an issues with ladder ownership that was causing ladders to not be climbable. * Resolved an issue where a late joining player would be seen as alive by some players. * Resolved an issue where the round timer was incorrect in extraction games. * Resolved an issue where the M1025 would be damaged by its own turrets. * Resolved an issue where the secondary DNS server would not be used when accessing the SOCOM Community pages. * Resolved an issue where players were able to walk in mid-air. * Resolved an issue where players were able to run and shoot while equipped with the RPG or LAW (though the RPG/LAW does not appear to be equipped to other players). * Resolved an issue where players were able to fire their primary weapon while the RPG/LAW was equipped. * Resolved an issue where players are able to create a 1 round ranked game. *************** 5d ONLINE STATS *************** Recently Zipper brought online (as promised) The Online States webpage. The Community feature of Socom 3 handles Clan battles. Your clan must be a part of a specified Ladder I myself am not a clan leader currently, but I belong to a very well organized clan that focuses on teamwork and tactics. Below is a list of tips for clan management. 1. Being the leader takes alot of time. Make sure that you have the time to devote to playing the game. Remember, people who join your clan are going to want to Have clan battles and if you arent there to challenge other clans or accept clan battles, then your clan is out of luck. Also remember, you're the only person that can send clan invites. 2. Recruiting is extremely important if you want to grow your clan. If your looking for an elite clan of excellent players, then you should be extremely selective to whom you send an invitation to. Try them out by having them play a few games with you and keep tabs on their stats. It is also a smart idea to get feedback from other clan members regarding the potential candidate. The person may be an excellent player, but he could be an jerk too and no one wants to put up with that. 3. Practice with your clan on a regular basis. Keep in mind that this a game and it can be difficult getting everyone online at the same time. If you're going to hold regular practices then pic a time and date, and make sure that you make everyone aware of this. Work on tactics and strategies while familiarizing yourself with the map. It can also be a good idea to have a practice room with a password. This way you can keep the room locked to just your clan members. Remember other people might just want to play, and its unfair to non clan members to just be sitting there while you talk about your clan. Be courteous and set a password. Keep the password the same and make everyone aware of the password. Should you change the password, then email your clan the password or inform them of the new change during gameplay or in the lobby. Make sure its complex, yet easy to remember. 4. Make up some general rules. Even if your a laid back clan, its always a good idea to have some rules set up. Here is a list of rules that I created for a previous clan. Feel free to use them Try outs will be held periodically to increase our membership. An invitation to the clan will be sent after the approval of the majority of the clan members who were playing with the candidate. Under no circumstances shall any member go to "Rank Up" rooms in a effort to increase one's rank. We play hard, and we play fair. Cheaters will be banned from the (NAME OF CLAN). Be patient. If we're in the lobby, and someone is having a meaningful conversation, dont scream at everyone to green up. Just wait til the conversation is over. Keep the trash talking down to a minimum, remember its just a game. We dont need any drama here ruining the experience for the guys who just want to play. Glitching is not allowed, unless the entire clan is playing around with glitches. Hitting the standy button ("Magic Switch") on your modem is not allowed, as this is also considered cheating. *******Keep in mind these rules were written for Socom 2********* 5. Running a clan is hard work. Its a good idea to have subordinates to help with the work. This person can work help out with the administrative part of running a clan i.e. Suggesting new candidates, informing new clan members of rules and regulations, etc. 6. Have training sessions for players who want to learn a new tactic or position. For ex. You can have a sniper class in where your Clan's best sniper shows the others the fundementals of Sniping. You may also have your clans Assault Rifle Expert teach how to strafe, and shoot effectively. 7. Make sure every member of your clan has a wingman (partner). Having this system set up ensures that no man is left behind/alone. This way when your moving about through the map you have adequate coverage. So when you encounter an enemy you stand a better chance of defeating him/her. ============================================================================== 007 FINDING YOUR SPECIALTY ============================================================================== This section will list several different positions that you can choose to play. Remember you're not forced into playing any specific position, however after playing Socom you tend to develop a specialty, or a position that you Prefer. Big Thanks to Elyon (My Clan Leader) for writing the Descriptions(Below) ********** 7a Sniper: ********** Recommended Equipment: M82/M87 High Scope & Bipod SR-25/SASR Med Scope & Silencer PMN's/Claymore's Description: ------------ Everyone seems to think that they can be a sniper, but there is more to it than most people think. Being a sniper means that you will probably not get to many kills, unless you are extremely good. Your accuracy must be so precise that you can take out any target, moving or not. You will also be needed to gather intel while you back-up your men Tips: ----- One of my biggest gripes w/ Socom 3 is the fact that Everyone seems to think that just because they walk around with an M82/87 that they deserved to carry the title of sniper.. WRONG! Sniping is an art that only a few have mastered. Below are a few tips to help with your sniping. 1. If your just starting out, then you probably want to start off with a One Shot rifle (M82/87). The concept is that if you hit someone in the torso, or head this will (usually) result in an instant death. I say usually because occasionally there will be a fluke in the system that will look like a direct hit yet the opponent took no damage. 2. Become familiar with your Pistol. This will be your best friend. Never move from point A to point B w/ out first equiping your pistol. You dont want to get caught in a fire fight with your sniper rifle out. You may get lucky and get a kill, however your chances of survival are alot better with a pistol. Play a few Pistol's only respawn rooms to familiarize yourself with pistols. Trust me this WILL help alot. 3. Before you take the long jouney towards becoming a sniper, familiarize yourself with the concepts of "Camping". Camping (although to some can be annoying), is an excellent way of flushing out an impatient player. While your hidden away safely, someone is bound to go running by you without even thinking that he's being watched. This is a vital aspect of sniping. Play a few rounds with an assault rifle and grab some claymores/pmn mines. Practice your timing with Claymores. Remember these are remotely detonated, so you have to set them off. Timing and Position is everything. If using PMN mines, then its all about placing them at choke points, and hiding them well. Dead Bodies are a great place for mines, along with tight corners and bushes. Once you master camping and mining, it will make your job as a sniper a bit easier. 4. The High Scope will probably be the most frequently used Scope due to its ability to have 3 levels of Zoom (3x 8x 16x). The 12x scope, (although strong) lacks the levels, which is a huge disadvantage. One thing to remember as a sniper is to frequently zoom out, and check your immediate surrounding. I've run up an many snipers who were too busy looking around to notice that I have a pistol to the back of their head and am just waiting for them to notice me to shoot! This leads me to my next point. 5. Have a spotter with you. Consider this, actual US Navy Seal Snipers ALWAYS have a spotter w/ them. The spotter is essentially your life line. (see Recon 7d Below for more information) Essentially this guy is going to watch your back while your looking for baddies w/ your scope. If your surroundings are clear, then he can help locate enemy's for you. 6. If you're being shot at, or if someone saw you. MOVE!! Do NOT stay in the same location. A true sniper will only take one shot from one location. Constantly moving will keep your opponent guessing where you are. This is especially vital for non-silent Rifles. If you are using A silence rifle (i.e. SR-25/ SASR) then you can afford to stay in the same place for a bit, just dont get too comfortable. ************ 7b Riflemen: ************ Recommended Equipment: M16-High Scope-Rifle Laser IW-Silencer-Front grip-HighScope (any 2) STG-Med Scope-Front grip-Silencer (any 2) M14-High Scope-Bipod RA-14-Med Scope-Silencer HE's/M67's Description: ------------ A team should be composed with a range of assault men, being as this is the heart of a good seal team. Every single member should be well trained with certain types of weapons and in following orders. Usually the man in front is the leader of them and he is the one who gives the command to move or attack. Tips: ----- Basically this is about the most common position that you'll come across on Socom. Many players prefer to carry an automatic rifle and just go out there with gun blazin'. However.. the key to this position is to think and act like a sniper. If one carries an automatic weapon but moves stealthily and uses cover, you will be a force to be feared. Being a patient rifleman will provide you with an advantage over many others. While other players are running out there likek idiots, you will be watching them like a hawk waiting for the kill, and then Go for it! ********** 7c Escort: ********** Recommended Equipment: M16-High Scope-Rifle Laser IW-Silencer-Front grip-High Scope (any 2) STG-Med Scope-Front grip-Silencer (any 2) M14-High Scope-Bipod RA-14-Med Scope-Silencer Description: ------------ This member of the team is faced with extra tasks at hand. When there are no hostages to rescue then there is no use for this member, he will then be an assault man. Tips: ----- Essestially if you grab some Hostages or VIPs you take this position. Your best bet is to have someone, or several gunners w/ you providing support. You can easily get your ass handed to you and then your Hostage/VIP will be a sitting duck. Make sure that if you grab a hostage (or 2/3) take your time. Dont rush the extract, becuase 9 out of 10 times you will run into an ambush. Move at a fair pace, keeping a look out for baddies up ahead. Keep constant communication w/ your gunners and if possible try to keep them in your sights. The worst thing that can happen is you running into a gun fight with your opposition and you THINK you have back up near by. ********* 7d Recon: ********* Recommended Equipment: M14-High Scope-Bipod M16-High Scope-Red Dot PMN's/Claymores Description: This member of the team should have the best stealth in the team mainly so he can gather intel and point out enemies ahead. When stealth has been broken then this member will turn into the point man where he is ahead of everyone else and can take out enemies sited. Mainly all recon man does is act like a spy. Tips: Socom 3 brought along a pair of Binoculars that are an accessory this time, vs Socom 2 it was the view you got as a result of a rifle not having a scope. I personally dont use it that often, but understand the power that this has. Picture this..You along side a sniper as his spotter with your binoculars. The effectiveness of this has been time tested in Real life. Dont take this job lightly. Make sure you call out anything that moves. (if the mic permits this) With that said, it may be advisable to change your mic channel so that your communication may be direct, and uninterrupted. Make sure you have your Primary and your Binoculars set to Quick Swap, this way should you encounter someone approaching rapidly, you can take him out vs waiting for your sniper to take the shot. *********** 7e Support: *********** Recommended Equipment: M60-Bipod MK.48-Front Grip-Med Scope RTK-74-Bipod HE's/M67's 2x Ammo Description: This member of the team is usually the one who is the strongest. Due to the fact that he carries the biggest weapon in the game. He is mostly equiped with an M60 or MK.48 and is expected to back-up the entire team if needed. This job is mostly meant for one man, so dont assign too many heavy assault men. Tips: You want to make sure that you grab yourself some extra ammo. Granted these Machine Guns have very large clips, however you can never have too much ammo if your Support. Remember that these guns weigh down your character, which will slow you way down. In addition extra ammo is going to increase the weight. However, do not fret... someone will need to you save their ass at one point or another by opening up a 100 round clip in someone's chest. ***************** 7f Demolitionist: ***************** Recommended Equipment: HK35-Front Grip-Med Scope 552-Front Grip-Med Scope C4 (If Applicable) M2 Mines (If Applicable) PMN Mines/Claymores HE's/M67's Description: This member is usually equipped with plenty of HEs, M67s, claymores or PMM mines. This is a risky job since you dont live long if you get caught trying to throw a grenade or plant a claymore, so be very carful unless you have a back-up. Tips: Basically your going to be the Slowest guy on the team. Simply put, you'll have so much equipment, that you're going to run like at the speed of a turtle. Carrying anti tank mines is very important in maps where vehicles are enabled. Make sure that you plant them not in the middle of the road but rather, where the wheels would make contact. Otherwise you'll see the explosion, but the vehicle will just keep driving. ************************* 7g Close Quarters Combat: ************************* Recommended Equipment: HK35-Front Grip-Med Scope 552-Front Grip-Med Scope HE's/M67's Description: Everyone is expected to be well trained in close quarters combat, incase he is split from the rest of the team. Incase youre a sniper dont bother trying to shoot the enemy with your sniper rifle, just pull out your hand gun. Tips: Although many of the Maps in Socom 3 are large, many of your encounters with the opposition will be close quarters. With that Said You'll find many players using Assuault rifles vs SMGs(Sub Machine Guns). However, A few maps do have many enclosed areas, that makes for great use of these weapons. The Key to mastering these weapons is to make sure that youre character is standing all the time. Dont go prone, and dont crouch.. Unless of course your trying to hide. Always strafe when you encounter your opposition, and try and aim at center mass. These weapons will unload clips extremely fast, and opening up a click on someone just a few feet away will ensure a kill. Dont be sloppy with your firing though. Get a good clear path to the chest, and open up. Holding the Trigger down until you have to reload will provide an opportunity for your enemy to take advantage of you. So, only hold for about 10-15 rounds at a time. ============================================================================== 008 MAPS ============================================================================== The following section features some brief info of each map, along with a link to a high res image of all maps. (Big thanks to Liquid Arrow for Scanning & Hosting these) Keep in mind for the links with the map name below it, just add it in the address bar *********** 8a Antenora *********** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Antenora_HighRes.jpg This map is mostly indoors, with 3 relatively small outdoor areas. The indoor portion of this Map features alot of tight corners with several open areas and long corridors. ************* 8b Blackwoods ************* http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Blackwoods_HighRes.jpg There is a good chance that you may not find rooms that have this map. Blackwoods is one of those maps that has a TON of places to hide, and plenty of shrubs, bushes, and trees to hide behind, making it a perfect place to equip a Ghille Suit as you will be virtually invisible. *********** 8c Boneyard *********** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Boneyard_HighRes.jpg If you're a fan of a close quarters combat, but like the freedom of some open areas, then this is your map. Boneyard features several Cargo Ships with tight corners and small areas. It also has several areas outside of the ships that have different elevations. (i.e. you can climp ontop of cargo crates, or on watch towers, etc) ********** 8d Citadel ********** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Citadel_HighRes.jpg One of my personal favorites. This map has tons of corners for full out Close Quarters Combat. There are many different rooms, stairs, and paths to take on this map. *********** 8e Crucible *********** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Crucible_HighRes.jpg One of the Larger maps of the game, Crucible features a ton of Good Sniping Areas and PLENTY open areas for combat. On default settings you will normally spawn right next to humvee's/pick up trucks. If you happen to hop in a vehicle you'll find yourself racing to the TANK which is in the Center of the map Equal distance (give or take) from the opposing teams. If on foot there are alot of areas only accessible by foot. ************** 8f Devils Road ************** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Devils%20Road_HighRes.jpg Another one of the larger maps, Devil's Road features large open areas along with some sections only accessible on foot. It has a small town on one end of it which has several huts which you can enter and hide or, or snipe from. This map also has great Sniping Areas, featuring some of the highest cliffs to snipe from out of all the maps. ******** 8g Fault ******** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Fault_HighRes.jpg If you've ever played Socom 1 or 2 then this map is Very similar to Rats Nest. It is totally indoors, and has many clausterphobic twists and turns that will pretty much guarantee you be face to face with an enemy when you least expect it. ************ 8h Harvester ************ http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Harvester_HighRes.jpg Harvester was the featured map in the Socom 3 Beta Test. This is possibly one of the most diverse maps in the entire game. This map features a small river that wraps around the outskirts of the map, Several structures (barn, house) which you can enter and hide/shoot from. It has many levels of elevation which are great for sniping, and plenty of objects to hide behind. You'll see many rooms with this map included in the playlist. Simply put, one of the most if not THE MOST well balanced maps in the game. ***************** 8i Killing Fields ***************** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Killing%20Fields_HighRes.jpg Quite possibly the Largest Map in the Game, this map has Huge open areas with minimal cover (A Snipers dream). You better pray that you have vehicles enabled on this map when playing, otherwise it'll take you a LONG time to get anywhere. Besides the wide open area there are 3 other mains areas of Gameplay 2 small bases where the Seals/Terrorists spawn, and 1 Main center area where a good portion of battle may take place considering the size of it. This section of the map resembles Crossroads a bit from Socom 2. ************** 8j Storm Front ************** http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Storm%20Front_HighRes.jpg This map is made up of several small island with with Water making up a large portion of the map. Although it wouldnt look like it at first, this is actually quite a popular sniping map. Since it has many wide open areas, you can hide yourself quite far away, with clear line of sight at your enemy. ************* 8k Tidal Fury ************* http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Tidal%20Fury_HighRes.jpg This map is basically 1 Large area surrounded by water. I would call it an island, but its more like a peninsula with 3 sides touching water. The map has tons of vegitation to hide in, along with several structers you can enter. One main point I'd like to state is that this map is like many reallife islands, where the center of it is the Highest Elevation. The highest point of this map has a large open area with a few huts inbetween, the terrain is completely uneven which makes for some interesting battles. ************* 8l Waterworks ************* http://liquidarrow.com/socom/maps/Waterworks_HighRes.jpg This map is awesome. Many people seem to dislike this map, but its a great map. While not the largest map in the game, it features Many "Nooks and Crannies". Plenty of buildings to enter, many many different levels of elevation, the entire map is covered in Water, which is great for hiding. The center of the map features the Courtyard which is where some heavy fighting has taken place in my online gaming experience. Overal a great map, which you'll find yourself discovering new things each time you play it. ============================================================================== 009 CREDITS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS ============================================================================== I'd like to thank Zipper Interactive for making such an awesome game.
