This guide is translated and written by Penguin_Knight
I have gathered, translated, interpreted, and typeset this written guide for
players who do not understand Japanese, but are interested in understanding how
to maximize all the social links in Persona 3 FES (FES) within the first game
play.
However, I would like to lay out some limitations so that you know what you
are getting into:
- This guide is better than its P3 original version, however it is still
considerably restrictive, nearly every action outside Tartarus is
controlled. As time goes on it would improve, but overall, you have all major
social link events worked out for you.

I played the Japanese version. In order to avoid misunderstanding caused by

Q: Can I use the old social link guide for FES?
A: No, the social link structure has been revised in a large extend. The old P3
guide will be fine at the beginning but later you would encounter problems.
Q: What do I get after maxing all the social links?
A: A special item will be given to you. It allows you to fuse a strong persona
that was designed to tackle the hidden boss.
Q: Does this guide contain spoiler?
A: This guide is mostly spoiler-free. You may be able to get a vague idea of
what is going on with the S. Link characters by the suggested responses. I
tried to minimize the spoilage by only listing player's responses and not
the character's questions.
Q: How complete is this guide?
A: You'll get suggestions of what to do in order to increase your three stats:
Academic, Charm, and Courage. On top of that, you'll have a better idea of
how to spend a day, initiate and maintain social links.
Q: What this guide is not?
A: This guide is NOT a battle guide. It doesn't contain information on how to
fight the bosses, at least not in this edition.
Q: Is this guide fully compatible with the US version of FES?
A: Yes, thanks to the contribution of Neo_Zeromus_X on GameFAQS forum, the
English version of Aeon social link is added in version 1.30.
Q: I have heard that the social link system in FES is changed, what kind of
changes are there?
A: First, most links FES require less points to advance. Maxing is relatively
easier.
Second, a new link called Aeon featuring Aegis is added. Also, she will not
be the main's lover.
Third, social link Devil is moved to Tuesday and Saturday nights.
Fourth, matching persona is needed at different rank when compared to the
original P3.
Q: I cannot find Tower and Devil in the calendar?
A: They are night events, which is not of a big concern in scheduling. Their
best responses are listed AT THE END OF THE CALENDAR. Do not miss them.
<>--[S1.02]: How to use this guide?------------------------------------------<>
1) READ ALL THE SECTION 1. There are routine things you have to do everyday
that I will not repeat 200 some times; that would make the walkthrough too
big.
2) The system in section 2 is designed to be a "One-glance Calendar" format,
through which you can complete a whole day of activities without cross-
referencing between sections. However, try to read ahead for at least a
week or so to avoid surprise.
Each day is indexed as [mm.dd.day], so if you are interested to continue from
February 10th, search for the term (Ctrl+F) "02.10" and you should be brought
to the right section.
Tower and Devil are night time social links. In FES, time at night is much more
available and hence the two social links are not incorporated into the
calendar. Their corresponding best answers are listed after January 31st.

The main has three stats, which will directly affect the starts of some social
links and other activities:
Academic would affects
- Result of examinations and tests in school
- Access to social links Temperance(LV2), Sun(LV4), and Empress(LV6)
- Completion of a quest from Elizabeth (Sushi quest)
Charm would affect:
- Access to social links Moon(LV2), Devil(LV4), and Lover(LV6)
- Completion of a quest from Elizabeth (Elizabeth drink quest)
Courage would affect:
- Access to social links Tower(LV2), Star(LV4), and High Priestess(LV6)
- Completion of a quest from Elizabeth (Mahjong piece quest)
The major challenge using this walkthrough is to max out Courage by 6/19, so
that we can start Priestess social link earlier. In the next section, I will
briefly explain some ground rules to achieve this.
The leveling up of a social link works like this:
1. You talk to the person who is representing that social link, if condition
is fulfilled, you'll initiate the social link. Most social links do not have
condition other than only being present in specific days in a week. Some
have stringent criteria.
2. Each time you spend time with the social link, you accrue points towards it,
once the points have reached a certain level, special social link event will
happen next time and it will level up.
During that leveling up conversation, you will be presented with a set of
questions related to their issues. Among the answers, some will grant you
more points, some will grant you none. The major goal of this game is to
understand your social link's personality in order to gain their trust,
friendship, or even love.
Those points count towards to NEXT level, if it is more than what is needed,
you'll level up again in next time meeting. All the extra points you gained
will not be carried over.
Notice that if you have the a persona with the same Arcana in your
inventory (equipping not required), you'll gain 50% bonus of all the points.
3. To level the social links as fast as one can, the player has to:
- Carry a persona with the same Arcana for 50% points bonus
- Pick the best answer to yield highest amount of points

I will not repeat the following message in every day's schedule. 100% follow-
ing of this flow of the day is strongly encouraged, especially in the first
two months in which we have to max out Courage.
1. Skip all the day-time restaurant, we'll use the day time for all social
events. However, you'll still be able to see those restaurant because some
social link events take place there.
2. Do not donate any money. In FES, donation takes time and hence is strongly
discouraged. We can max all links without one single donation.
3. Spend the night in the following orders:
i) At the beginning: Max Courage
Mon: Karaoke + Study
Tue: Virtual Horror at game center (3,000 yen) + Study
Wed: Karaoke + Study
Thu: Karaoke + Study
Fri: Virtual Horror at game center (3,000 yen) + Study
Sat: Coffee + Study
Sun: Karaoke + Study
If need to visit Tartarus, do it on Sat
ii) When Courage is maxed: Max Charm
Mon: Photo Sticker at game center (1,500 yen) + Study
Tue: Coffee + Study
Wed: Coffee + Study
Thu: Photo Sticker at game center (1,500 yen) + Study
Fri: Coffee + Study
Sat: Coffee + Study
Sun: Coffee + Study
If need to visit Tartarus, do it on Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, or Sun
iii) When Charm is maxed: Max Academic

If need to visit Tartarus, do it on Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, or Sun
4. Spend after-school time in the following orders:
i) If you're tired/sick, go to see the school doctor and drink his medicine
to increase Courage until your Courage is maxed. That potion will not
heal you, but afterwards you can try visiting bathroom. There is a
certain chance that your condition will be back to normal.
ii) Proceed to carry out the Social Link, make sure you have the matching
persona with you to get the bonus. Answer all the question with highest
points (suggested answers are given in this walk through).
5. One of the key to max out Courage by 6/19 is to see two movies on 4/21 and
4/26. These would gain totally 8 pts towards Courage and that's 10% of all
you need to maximize it.
6. What about the dates of maxing Charm and Academic? Basically if you follow
the routine you should not have problem, some trickier ones are listed
here for your reference:
- Charm needs to be at level 6 by 7/25 to start the Lovers social link
- Academic needs to be at level 2 by 5/29 to start the Temperance social
link
- Academic needs to be at level 6 by 10/12 in order to top the third exam
~ You can also top the first exam with level 3 Academic
~ You can also top the second exam with level 5 Academic
Either way, you'll need at least one of these topped as a condition for
Empress social link
7. For Social Link initiation and Rank 10 special event, whatever you answer
does not matter.
8. When to bring a matching persona:
Rule of thumb, once your reach Rank 2, better to see them again with a
matching persona.
Here are the detailed rules and the recipe of the lowest level persona:
00. Fool
No matching persona needed, level up is automatic.
01. Magician
Needs matching persona on 4/28. Then always meet with him with a
matching persona.

the link. They do not contribute any point, but failing to do them can delay
your schedule of this round one max social link play through. So, be careful

[FAQ003] Why do I need some persona by a certain day?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This mean the usual points from conversation is no long enough for next ranking
and we need to get the 50% bonus from a matching persona to do that.
Remember the matching persona only needs to be in your reserve, it does not
have to be the one that is currently equipped.

[FAQ004] What is the item quest from Elizabeth?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In FES, Elizabeth introduce a new series of quests that require you to gather
an item from one of your friend on a certain night at the dorm. On that
particular night, talk to the person indicated and collect the item. Then,
quickly go back to Elizabeth and report your completion.
The item gathering event only happens on one specified night and will not
happen again, if you miss that, you'll miss the quest for good.
[FAQ005] What does it mean that "I need to go to visit Tartarus?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is for avoiding phone call at the late night. In P3 and FES, some social
links call you and ask for a date to hang out. Some would even call multiple
times in a week. If you refuse the first call, they will not make the second
call. In this walk through, there are occasions that we need to manipulate the
phone call events to the day, and have to avoid their first call so that we can
get the second call. So, just go to Tartarus as usual, you can have an
adventure there, or you can even just return to dorm instantly.
[FAQ006] What's special about the day before full moon?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you visit Tartarus the day before full moon, your team members will not
retreat back to dorm even they are tired. It's a good chance to buff up your
party level.
[FAQ007] I wish to learn more about the oracle draw~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oracle draw is renewed in FES. First, it takes time now. Second, on top of
drawing the lucky paper slip, now you can also pray with a certain person in
your mind. The person you can pick is limited to the social links you have
started.
When you have a non-reversed, healthy social link with the person, you gain 10
points towards the link. And 15 points if you have a matching persona.
If you have a reversed social link with the person who has not yet started a
love relationship with you, your link will be back to non-reversed, but you
don?t get to gain any point.
If you have a reversed or broken relationship with a lover, the link will not be
repaired, and you will not gain any point.
The shrine function is a good way to circumvent the difficult schedules of some
social links.
[FAQ008] About walking with Koromaru~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Koromaru's joining. You can talk to him at night and see if he is
interested to have a walk with you. All special walks with SEES members are
listed in this walk through. There are other occasions you may see other social
links, too. In that case, you also gain 10 points toward that link, and 15
points if you have a matching persona.
[FAQ009] I wish to learn more about the movie festival~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This movie festival has been there. But in P3 the schedule was too busy for us
to enjoy it. In FES, due to overall simpler social links, we can attend all of
them now. If you have an active social links with the partner, you will gain
points towards it (10 points; and 15 if you have a matching persona). After the
movie, according to what you watch, you'll also enjoy the status bonus of +4.
Notice that some special walk with Koromaru will not happen if you do not
attend the movie festival with some SEES members.
[FAQ010] What does it mean by "she may go jealous if I see other girls?"~~~~~~~
In FES, some social links will become your lovers. These are Yuko, Chihiro,
Yukari, Mitsuru, and Fuuka. Once they reach a certain level, you'll see a
message saying that they will get jealous if you see other of the five girls
(Maiko, the bookstore owner's wife, and Aegis are not considered here).
The system does allows a little bit of cheating.
According to the JPN complete guide. All reversible females will go reverse if:
1) you didn't see them for 60 days (for guys it has become 90 days)
2) you double booked and ended up cancel on her
3) in a certain occasions, you picked a wrong answer during social link
conversation
After you have reached a special relationship with a girl, say, Yukari. You are
supposed to see her within another 60 days. However, if you see other girls
(Fuuka, Yuko, Mitsuru, Chihiro, regardless of rank), the time limit drop by 15
days each meeting. Which means, if you see another girls once, then you'll have
to see Yukari within 45 days (or 45 - days passed if you're being exact). If you
have met two girls, the it drops to 30 days. If it's three, then it becomes 15
days. So, three cheatings is the maximum you can go. And the round one max links
guide should not cause you any trouble.
[FAQ011] What's "DT"?
It just stands for DaTing.
[FAQ012] Oh~!! I go out with a girl! I go out with a girl!! Guide to dating~~~~
Congratulations on your first date. Dating in P3 can be fun, because it opens
up some more conversations that can potentially score you 45 points, enough for
a homerun to ranking up.
In the process, you may be prompted to present a gift. In this round one max
social link walk through, the only real moment you need a gift is on 9/27. All
other dating does not require giving gift to rank up. However, if you wish to
cheer them up or give it as a security measure, go ahead. Also notice that you
can give the same gift again and again, the effect will not go down because
they have got it before.
Each girl likes different gift, some gain you 50 points, some gain you 10

[FAQ013] What's special about maxing a link?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, now that you have maxed your first link. You should have got an item that
unlocks a special persona. After each link is maxed, you will get another new
one.
For maxed links, they will never go reversed or broken. Their rank will never
go down. In FES, you may still spend time with some maxed links (including your
lover(s) and in the bookstore), however, nothing more will be gained.
[FAQ014] What is "Revival Flag"? (Spoiler)
This is a hidden event in FES. When there is a revival flag, talk to Junpei at
day or night time and give him encouraging responds. If you have done all of
the flags, you may be able to save him from a broken heart.
