Hello and welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough for Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal!
As you may already know, Up Your Arsenal is the third and final installment of
Insomniac's wonderful series featuring a furry guy, his robotic friend, and an
immense amount of large guns.

This time around, Ratchet and Clank are faced with multiple new threats - the
Tyhrranoids and their leader, Dr. Nefarious. That being said, it is again up to
you to save the universe and everyone in it... with the help of those large
guns I was talking about earlier.

Welcome to the walkthrough portion of my guide. Below you will find an in-depth
look at every mission objective you'll be faced with on each planet. Before
we get started however, I absolutely MUST remind you to search each and every
area thoroughly as to not miss any bolts. You'll need each and every one, trust
me on that.

=====================
Kyzil Plateau, Veldin
=====================

Save Veldin!
------------

Upon watching the opening cutscene, you'll find out that Ratchet's home planet,
Veldin, has been invaded by the Tyhrranoids. Your objective here, as the title
clearly states, is to save Veldin and defeat the enemy scum.

Start off by following the Galactic Rangers up the small set of stairs to your
right (don't worry, they're the good guys). Watch in awe as the troops dispose
of a couple enemy units with ease. As you approach them, a short cutscene will
play, and you'll obtain the Shock Blaster. Use it to dispose of more enemy
troops located just around the corner. Grab the ammo and Nanotech if you're low
on health, then hop up onto the nearby ledge and watch another short cutscene.

After the cutscene, the Nitro Launcher is added to your arsenal. Use it to
destroy the small enemy aircraft, but don't get too close to it! After you've
cleared the area, head over to the left side of the small clearing you're in
to grab some bolts, ammo, and Nanotech.

Once you've freshened up, hop down into the hole you created upon destroying
the Tyhrranoid aircraft. Fight your way through the small tunnel and snipe the
robot positioned on the platform just ahead. Using the small crate for cover,
snipe the enemy aircraft in front of you with the Nitro Launcher in
First-Person mode. Continue through the archway in front of you, helping out
your fellow ranger buddy. When you reach the dropship, a cutscene will play.

Eliminate Enemy Forces
----------------------

When you're in control of Ratchet again, you'll be sky diving! How fun! Then
again, the enemies on the ground below are launching missiles at you. Not fun.
Manuever around these until you land. Next, simply roam freely about the small
clearing, disposing of enemies and collecting bolts and Nanotech (if needed)
until the large door opens. Snipe the dropship just beyond the doors, head
across the bridge, then enjoy the cutscene that introduces you to Florana.

=====================
Nabla Forest, Florana
=====================

Find the Mysterious Man
-----------------------

When you begin, you can head over to the Gadgetron vendor to check out what
they have to sell. If you have enough bolts, you can purchase the N60 Storm for
15,000 or the rather nifty Plasma Whip for 7,500. For your sake, however, you'd
be better off waiting until about halfway through the level to purchase the
N60 Storm, it's a very useful weapon.

That being said, hop carefully across the water using the floating platforms
provided for you, killing bees along the way. Once you've reached the other
side, you'll find yourself inside a dome-like structure. Turn left and head
across another bridge to a fork in the path. On the left, you'll find a TON of
bolts, accompanied by a green crate that will multiply the amount of bolts and
experience you obtain (by two) for a limited amount of time.

After you've had your fun collecting all of the bolts, head back to the fork in
the path, proceed straight ahead, and kill the small amount of enemies. When
the mutant worm pops up out of the swamp, don't worry, just strafe and fire at
him with the Shock Blaster. Next, follow the robot informant lady's
instructions and perform a Boost Jump in order to enter the next area. Make
your way to the other side of the room and climb the series of ledges to the
top floor.

Once you've reached the top, head left to grab a small amount of bolts, then
head back to where you came from and perform a Long Jump across the gap. On the
other side you'll be greeted by a few waves of those pesky boomerang-wielding
enemies you've confronted several times already here on Florana. Once they're
disposed of, climb the ladder to your right and kill the small amount of
enemies at the top. Now, depending on the amount of bolts you have (which
SHOULD be more than enough), buying the N60 Storm from the nearby Gadgetron
would be a very good investment.

From the Gadgetron vendor, step out onto the grey platform and glide down to
the area below. When you land, take out the enemies just ahead of you from a
distance, then grab the Inferno Mode crate, which temporarily upgrades your
attacks and defensive capabilities. Next, head into the dome area ahead of you,
and you'll be subjected to a short and easy "arena" battle. When the battle's
done, proceed straight ahead and wall jump up to the next area.

At the top, turn around and glide over to the area across the gap you just
ascended to find a decent amount of bolts and some other goodies. Head back
over to the other side once you're done, destroy the enemies there, then use
the zipline to glide down into the next area. Once there, head into the rather
large, circular clearing and defeat the enemies there. After the battle, head
up the ladder on the other side of the clearing and use yet another zipline to
glide safely down into the next area.

Walk the Path of Death!
-----------------------

After the cutscene, you should be aware of the fact that the mysterious man
you've been looking for has instructed you to walk the Path of Death. It isn't
at all a hard task, just remember that timing and good manuevering are key,
especially when it comes to jumping over the fiery floor panels. When you reach
the end of the path, you'll be rewarded with a boss battle. Yay!

Defeat Captain Qwark
--------------------

Just like the Path of Death, defeating Qwark is a rather easy task. All Qwark
does is throw his boomerang at you a couple of times, then he runs to a new
location and does the same. That being said, unload your Nitro Launcher on him
(while dodging his boomerang attacks) first, then switch over to the N60 Storm
or Shock Blaster. Strafing isn't needed, as you must jump to avoid his
boomerang.

================
Starship Phoenix
================

Take Qwark to His Cage
----------------------

Whenever you're ready, simply drop Qwark at his cage, which is located right
next to Ratchet's living quarters. Before you drop him off however, it's
always fun to shoot at him. Don't worry, he won't attack you back. After all,
he really deserves it for almost getting you killed back on Florana.

Meet Sasha on the Bridge
------------------------

When you're done exploring the Phoenix, head over to the Bridge via the odd
transportation device located at the northernmost part of the main deck. After
a brief conversation, Sasha will instruct you to fly over to Marcadia, a new
area.

======================
Capital City, Marcadia
======================

Get to the Palace
-----------------

When you start, follow the Rangers around the corner and let them take care of
the small Tyhrannoid creatures. Next, dispose of the two slightly tougher
enemies around the corner, then head up the stairs to the next area.

At the top, you'll be greeted by a small wave of little creatures accompanied
by a few more of those purple guys you ran into back at the bottom of the
stairs. Simply take cover behind the boxes and take them out from a distance.
When you've gotten rid of all of the enemies, head for the stairs at the far
end of the courtyard, take a left, then hop up onto the ledge to grab some
bolts. Do the same for the small area to the right of the stairs as well. When
you're done, head into the next area.

If you have the Plasma Whip, use it to destroy the mini squadron of enemies
that jumps out at you the very moment you enter the courtyard. When they're
gone, pick the guy on the high ledge just opposite the entrance off using the
N60 Storm in First-Person Mode.

Next, run out into the courtyard and over to the far wall where the guy on the
ledge just was. Follow the wall until you reach a small alleyway. Inside the
alleyway you will find some crates and Nanotech. Next, hop up onto the ledge
and snipe the torrent of enemies below you with the N60 Storm. Drop down off of
the ledge when you're through and snipe the lone battle mech located across the
gap ahead. Perform a Long Jump over the gap and into the next area, where
you'll find another small group of enemies and an Inferno Mode crate.

Continue on and you'll run into a fellow Ranger. He'll instruct you to follow
him to the dropship, and follow him you shall. When you reach the dropship,
you'll be subjected to a series of five "Battle Missions," of which must be
completed in order to secure the area and finish all of Marcadia's mission
objectives. Simply read each mission brief before you start, and you'll find
that they're not nearly as hard as they sound. Good luck!

Repair Laser Defense Shield
---------------------------

When the mission starts, grab the Refractor located on the ground directly in
front of you. The Refractor allows you to redirect laser beams using the L1
button and the Left Analog Stick. Anyways, head straight into the large room
in front of you, disposing of the annoying Tyhrranoid enemies along the way.
On the left side of the room you should notice a laser. Equip the Refractor,
then walk over to the laser. Aim it at the switch next to the door on the left
side of the room by using the controls explained above. This will open the
door, allowing you to head into the next area.

Once inside the next room, run over to the bolt crank and turn it in order to
move the receiver on the right side of the room (when you enter) into position.
Next, run over to the laser and aim it at the receiver you just moved. This
will cause a nice little reaction which will open the door. Pass through it and
into the next room.

As you enter the room, head on over to the bolt crank just opposite the laser
and do your thing. Once you've moved the receiver into postion, do your thing
and aim the laser at the receiver to cause yet another door to open. Well, you
know the drill, pass through it and into the next room.

In the next room you should see a platform with a laser beam pointed straight
down on top of it. Hop up onto the platform and aim the beam at the receiver in
order to form a nice little bridge for you to cross. On the other side, you'll
notice a laser beam atop a platform and a spider drone on the ground below.
Your objective here, as instructed by Sasha, is to guide the spider drone over
to the spider symbol on the right wall. To do this, simply aim the laser in
front of the spider in the direction you want it to go. Keep doing this until
the spider is right on top of the symbol. When you've successfully done this,
the door will open, allowing you to enter the next room.

Head into the next area and turn the bolt crank. Next, hop up onto the platform
the laser is beaming down on with the Refractor equipped. Aim the beam at the
receiver hanging from the ceiling and continue on. The next room is fairly
simple to pass through, so I'll leave it up to you to complete. When you've
successfully opened the door, you'll bump into Al, which inititates a cutscene.

After the cutscene, return to the Phoenix and play the Qwark vid-comic you
received from Al. Make sure to collect all of the Qwark tokens throughout the
vid-comic episode to obtain a Titanium Bolt! When you've beaten the vid-comic,
head on over to Annihilation Nation in order to win a Thyrra-Guise.

===================
Annihilation Nation
===================

Win the Thyrra-Guise
--------------------

After the cutscene, you'll soon realize that you have to successfully complete
the death course in order to obtain what you're looking for. Anyways, since the
course's path splits quite a few times, and the routes you take aren't
necessarily selected by you, I'm going to leave you on your own for this one.
Just remember the following, and you should be able to complete the course with
no problems at all.

First off, time your jumps carefully. If you don't, those fiery floor panels
strewn about the course will make you pay. Next, make use of all of your
weapons if you'd like, as the death course is a good place to work on upgrading
your weapons. Now last, but certainly not least - DON'T FALL OFF THE EDGE!
You'll have to start the course all over again if you do!

When you've finished the course, fly on back to the Phoenix and play episode 2
of the Qwark vid-comic. When you're done with that, head on over to Aquatos in
order to carry out your next mission.

=========================
Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos
=========================

Infiltrate the Underwater Hideout
---------------------------------

From the start, jog on over to the elevator and ride it down to the bottom.
Once there, you'll bump into Skidd, and a cutscene will play. After the
cutscene, Skidd will follow you throughout the rest of the level, using his
Hacker when needed. Anyways, continue on, disposing of the enemies along the
way. Make a quick stop at the Gadgetron vendor if you're low on ammo, then head
into the next area.

When the door opens, take out the bot that's hovering just beyond it. Once the
bot's gone, Skidd will run over to the device on the right and use his Hacker.
Upon doing this, a bridge extends across the chasm in front of you and over to
the other side. Cross the bridge, kill the bot here, then open the door and
head into the next room (grab the Nanotech if you need it).

Whoa! What a nice little robot ambush we have here! No big deal, just keep
moving and take them out one by one until they're all gone. Next, head over to
the pool of water on the other side of the room. Skidd apologizes, saying he
can't swim. Well, we all know what that means, don't we? Anyways, dive down
into the water and swim through the rather large underwater tunnel (while
collecting bolts) until you reach the pool on the other side.

After you've surfaced, collect the crates lining the water's edge and listen to
the message Sasha has sent you pertaining to a large biomass she has detected
nearby. Climb the ladder and head down the gooey tunnel. Dispose of the smaller
enemies you've become accustomed to, then proceed straight ahead until you
reach the wall of goo. Uh oh, giant blob man! Not to worry, he's easier than he
looks. Simply blast away at him with your N60 Storm or Nitro Launcher to make
the battles a quick and easy one. When you defeat him, you receive a sewer
crystal. Hooray!

Go forward and into the next room. Step on the switch here to open the door for
Skidd, then turn around and snipe the enemies that are located across the
chasm in the next room. When they're gone, Skidd will use his Hacker again to
extend another bridge across the gap. Cross it, then open the door and proceed
to the next room.

Dispose of the bots once you enter, then take some time to smash the numerous
crates strewn about the room (which you should've been doing every mission so
far). Jog over to yet another pool of water located on the side of the room
opposite the door. Well, you know the drill, dive in and swim to the other
side, just DON'T get too close to the mines, or you'll be in for a world of
hurt.

When you've reached the other side, surface and go through the same routine you
went through before, giant blob man and all. After you've obtained yet another
sewer crystal continue on and open the door for Skidd. He'll run over to the
next room and use his Hacker once again, and once again a bridge will extend
out across the chasm and over to the other side. Cross it, then hop onto the
elevator located in the next room after Skidd leaves. At the bottom, run over
to the pipe-like structure in the center of the room to initiate a cutscene
with Slim Cognito. He'll tell you that if you have Ratchet & Clank: Going
Commando save data on your memory card, you can receive some weapons for free!

Find Nefarious' Office
----------------------

After the short cutscene, you'll be in control of Clank. Proceed forward,
avoiding the laser and the spotlight. Just past the spotlight you should notice
a switch on the ground. Step on it, then quickly run over to the other side of
the temporarily disabled energy barrier. Next, walk on over to the small crate
on the ground in front of you, and Qwark's monkey friend will pop out. Qwark
then sends you a message explaining how the monkey will chase after a banana no
matter where you shoot it. That being said, use the banana gun you received
upon releasing the monkey and launch one past the spotlights. When the security
system's occupied, quickly sprint past it and into the next room.

When you enter the next room, a short cutscene will play, showing Clank and the
monkey stuck in one spot with no way of crossing over to the other side of the
gap that lies before them. That being said, it is Ratchet's job to raise the
bridge in order for Clank to cross it. Once in control of Ratchet, LEAVE the
Thyrra-Guise equipped! Next, walk over to the blue energy barrier in front of
you and press the Circle button to wave, then the X button to talk to the small
Tyhrranoid on the other side. Follow the instructions given to you afterwards
in order to successfully converse with your "fellow" comrades. When you've
completed the nice little mini-game, head on over into the next room.

Once in the next room, proceed straight ahead and use the platforms to hop on
over to the other side (avoid the lasers). When you've successfully crossed the
chasm, you must talk to two more Tyhrranoids in order to raise the bridge Clank
must cross. Once it's raised, control will switch back over to Clank.

As Clank (again), proceed forward across the bridge, and when you reach another
switch surrounded by a couple of spotlights, launch a banana at the switch to
have the monkey run over and stand on it. This will lower the blue energy
barrier ahead and distract the building's security system once more. When
you've successfully reached the other side, step on the switch nearby in order
to let the monkey in. Next, head straight a short distance, then when the path
forks, go right. Here you will find some Gadgebots. Bust their crates to free
them (there should be 4 total), then head back to where the path forks.

From the fork, take the left path (a.k.a. the path you didn't just take) and
have the Gadgebots attack the fan standing in your way. To do this, press the
Triangle button to bring up a sort of Quick-Select menu, then select the
"Attack" command. They will then destroy the fan, allowing you to continue.
Next, fire a banana past the spotlight in the next room and let the monkey run
rampid while you and the Gadgebots head on over to the blue energy barrier on
the other side of the room. Once there, have the Gadgebots enter the small
house structure on the right in order to lower the barrier. As you attempt to
cross on over into the next room, control will switch back to Ratchet.

As Ratchet (once again), run around the corner, and when you reach a switch,
step on it to get rid of yet another energy barrier. Head on over to the gate
just ahead and talk to the guard in order to let you pass through another
barrier. Talk to the next guard, and a bridge will be extended over to the
other side of the large gap for you. Cross it, and enjoy the cutscene. When the
cutscene ends, slide on down the sewer pipe to the end, then trade your Sewer
Crystals to the plumber there for a decent amount of bolts (4,000 I believe).
Once you're done with all of this, fly on back to the Phoenix.

========================
Korgon Base, Tyhrranosis
========================

Rendezvous on Tyhrranosis
-------------------------

You begin by sky diving from the dropship. As you're falling, be careful as to
not let any missiles hit you, as they pack a pretty big punch. Once you've
landed safely on the ground, you should have two Ranger comrades by your side.
Let them run ahead of you and take out most of the smaller enemies in the
tunnel up ahead.

At the end of the tunnel there's a large room. Enter it and dipose of the small
wave of enemies that take you by surprise. When they're gone, take some time to
roam about the room, grabbing bolts and Nanotech if you need it. Once you're
done, head into the next room and continue on to your next objective.

Take Out the Power Generators
-----------------------------

Exit the small room you were just in and run out into the rather huge room just
ahead. Take out the plethora of enemies that come charging at you, then destroy
the first generator located in the center of the room. Next, proceed to the
back of the room, take out a few more enemies, then destroy the second
generator located behind the barrier-like structure. Once you've destroyed both
generators, enter the side room for a cutscene, showing Sasha delivering you a
nice little present to aid you in your fight against the Tyhrranoids.

After the cutscene, you'll be in a small clearing where your ship has landed,
accompanied by an assault vehicle. Hop in the assault vehicle by using the
Triangle button, and speed towards the bridge. Air over the river and follow
the dirt road until you reach an intersection. Make a right and let the monkey
take out all of the enemies that get in your way, then continue to speed along
the path until you reach a small room, of which houses a generator. Hop out of
the vehicle, destroy the generator, then hop back in and head over to the next
generator located in the northeast corner of the area.

Once you've reached your destination, you'll find out that the path cannot be
traversed by your vehicle, so you're just going to have to go by foot. Proceed
around the corner and dispose of all of the enemies you come across, including
the two that are perched upon a couple of stone pillars. Next, head over to the
back of the area and wall jump up to the top. Once there, you're quickly
accompanied by a Tyhrranoid dropship along with a few enemies. Dipose of them,
then head across the bridge and get rid of the enemies that confront you there.
Head around the corner and hop up onto the ledge on your left. Hop up onto the
next platform, get rid of the enemies, then destroy the generator.

Head back to your vehicle and proceed to the question mark located in the
northwest (top left) corner of your map. Make a quick stop at the Gadgetron
vendor, then enter the tunnel and follow the path until you're confronted by a
small wave of enemies. Dispose of them from a distance if you'd like, then
continue on. When you reach a set of ledges, use each one of them as a barrier
of sorts to help you take out the enemies on the platforms ahead from a
distance, making it easier for you. Next, hop from platform to platform until
you exit the tunnel. Run to the back of this area, doing what you want with the
enemies, then wall jump up to the next area and destroy the generator.

Next, head on over to the last of the generator via the path located just below
the path you just traversed. This is the easiest of the generators to reach by
foot, so I'm just going to leave this one up to you. Just remember to strafe
while firing in order to avoid being hit by enemies! Once you've destroyed the
generator, you'll be transported to a location in front of a bridge, of which
is soon destroyed by a ship flying overhead. Next, proceed forward and use the
elevator to take yourself up into the next area for a boss fight.

Destroy the Momma Tyhrranoid
----------------------------

Unlike the battle against Qwark, this battle can be a tad bit difficult if
your most useful weapons aren't upgraded to at least version 2 or 3. That being
said, make a quick stop at the Gadgetron vendor to either buy a new weapon or
to max out your ammo. Once you've done so, proceed forward and enter the battle
arena.

When you enter the arena, a cutscene will play, introducing you to the Momma
Thyrranoid. Don't be intimidated by her abnormally large size, this battle's
quite easy if you know what to do, so just follow these easy to remember
instructions and you should have little to no problems.

Right when the battle starts, immediately turn right and begin to run around
perimeter of the arena. Equip the N60 Storm, then begin to strafe in order to
continue running away while shooting her. Next, lock on to her by pressing the
R1 and L1 buttons simultaneously, then let the firing commence! After a short
while, however, she catches up and takes a couple of swipes at you. Simply jump
over to the side to avoid this, then continue on.

Shortly after Momma swings at you, she'll latch onto the ceiling and fire a
machine gun-like laser at you via the giant weapon on her back. You can avoid
this very easily by jumping over the gunfire and firing back at her in between
jumps. When she hops back down from the ceiling, continue using the methods
described above to eventually bring Momma down to half of her original health.
Once you've done this, Momma will throw a nice little tantrum and destroy a
piece of the path, forcing you to change the battle's location. That being
said, sprint down the corridor, IGNORING the small Tyhrranoids, until you reach
the next area.

When you get there, use the same techniques described above to finish off the
Momma Tyhrranoid. There is one difference with this part of the battle however,
and that's the fact that Momma shoots missiles from the giant weapon on her
back instead of machine gun fire. Continue to use the N60 Storm, then switch
over to the Nitro Launcher in order to finish her off if you happen to run out
of ammo. Once she's destroyed, head back to the Phoenix to (possibly) grab some
new armor or weapons, then complete the VR gadget training course in order to
obtain the Hacker and the Hypershot.

=======================
Research Facility, Daxx
=======================

Alright, now before you start doing any objectives, take some time to traverse
the path described below in order to obtain the Charge Boots. The Charge Boots
are exceptionally useful during intense battles, as they propel you forward at
mind-bending speeds, knocking enemies out of the way and escorting you to
safety. That being said, let's get going shall we?

From the start of the level, take the path located to your left. You won't get
far before you're confronted by a rather strong robot trooper. You'll run into
A LOT of these here on Daxx, so here are a few tips pertaining to how you can
dispose of them quickly and easily:

- Use the Flux Rifle if you have it. Even if it's still at V1, it can take out
the larger, stronger bots in only two shots.

- The N60 Storm. If you've upgraded it to the point where you can use the
Lock-On mod (V3 or 4), use this bad boy while strafing to quickly dispose of
  the robot menace.

- Using the Nitro Launcher isn't that bad of an idea, just as long as you aim
carefully and center the blast directly under the robot. Doing this should
take one of them out in a shot or two, depending on how strong your Nitro
  Launcher is.

Alright, got all that? Good. Now before we go any further I just want to
explain to you that the "Infiltrate the Weapons Facility" objective is a
rather long, tough, and somewhat frustrating one. I've provided you with the
tips listed above because just a couple of hits from those larger bots is
enough to kill you, thus sending you all the way back to the starting point,
especially if you haven't upgraded your armor at all!

Once you've traversed the short path, disposing of the enemies you run into
along the way, you should arrive at the Charge Boots. Hooray! Anyways, you're
going to need these while attempting the following objectives, as they're not
exactly easy, especially for Ratchet newcomers.

Explore the Docks
-----------------

After you've successfully obtained the Charge Boots, hop down from the room
they were located in, and use the Hypershot to swing across the water to the
other side. Once there, make a quick stop at the Gadgetron vendor if necessary,
then take the path on the RIGHT.

Hop up the small series of ledges to the top, then use the Hypershot in order
to create nice little stepping stones to help yourself cross safely over to the
next area. Continue to do this until you run out of Hypershot targets. Next,
float on down to the odd-shaped island that consists of many octagonal
platforms, some of which are fans. As soon as you land, you're greeted by the
Warp Drive Ship. Don't bother trying to attack it, it's invincible at the
moment, so just use the Charge Boots to quickly transport yourself over to the
ledge on the left. Once there, wall jump up to the next area.

At the top, grab the crates scattered about the area, then use your Hypershot
again in order to cross the gap and land safely on the same odd-looking
platforms you were on just a moment ago. Just like before, the Warp Drive Ship
comes... warping in, blasting away pieces of the small islands with homing
missiles. Again, use your Charge Boots to avoid these, but BE CAREFUL. If you
happen to fall while attempting to jump from platform to platform, you'll have
to start all over again. That being said, when you reach the last platform, hop
from it and into the next area.

Grab the crates strewn about, then use your Hypershot to cross yet another gap
located on the LEFT. When I tried this for the first time, I accidentally took
the right path and died almost instantaneously. That being said, take the left
path and land on yet another set of odd-shaped platforms, of which will soon be
blasted away by the Warp Drive Ship. Quickly make your way over to the piece of
solid land ahead, and stock up on ammo at the Gadgetron vendor if necessary.
Next, make your way over to the next odd-shaped island for a boss battle
against your friend, the Warp Drive Ship.

The Warp Drive Ship isn't all that tough, just remember these three techniques:
strafe, shoot, and jump. If you remember those, this battle will be a piece of
cake for you. That being said, the ship has two primary attacks, both of which
can easily be avoided by jumping and simply moving out of the way. These
attacks consist of a small barrage of homing missiles, which you've already
become accustomed to, and a sweep laser. In between attacks, the Warp Drive
Ship likes to... well... warp. Don't worry though, it warps back in the exact
same spot it disappeared in.

In terms of fighting the ship, simply whip out your N60 Storm, aim, and fire
away. When you've depleted your N60 Storm ammo, equip the Miniturret Glove if
you have it and start tossing turrets out at the corners of the "arena" where
the ship warps in and out. The turrets will do their thing while you avoid each
of the ship's attacks. Simply repeat this process until the ship is destroyed,
then head on over to the lone control room across the gap for a cutscene.

Infiltrate the Weapons Facility
-------------------------------

After the cutscene, take the taxi back to your ship, and head back to the fork
in the path. This time, go left and hop on the elevator-like platform in order
to travel up into the next area. Once there, proceed forward and use your Nitro
Launcher to damage the squad of three robot troops in front of you. When
they're destroyed, proceed forward until you reach another squadron of three
troops accompanied by one of those larger bots we've come to know and love.
Destroy them, then hop up the ledge to your right and head into the next area.

Once there, dispose of the troops scattered about the small area, then whip out
the Flux Rifle (if you have it) and snipe the troops perched on the balconies
located in the next area. When they're gone, hop up the ledge and proceed
foward until you come to a switch in the ground. Step on it to lower the gate,
then, IF YOU HAVE IT, equip the Spitting Hydra and enter the next area. You'll
see why in a second.

As soon as you enter the next area, a swarm of troops accompanied by pesky
little worker bots come flying out at you. That being said, whip out your
Spitting Hydra (or Nitro Launcher) and start taking them out 2 or 3 at a time.
While doing this, make sure you jump and strafe in order to avoid being hurt,
especially if you've missed some of the Nanotech located along the way and
you're low on health. At the end of the path, you'll run into yet another giant
robot. Dispose of it any way you like, then make a left and proceed down the
ramp into the next fun-filled area.

At the bottom of the ramp you're greeted by another small squadron of troops
accompanied by a larger robot. When they're all destroyed, head back to the
bottom of the ramp, turn around, and make a left down a small alleyway. Here
you will find some hidden crates, along with some Nanotech. Grab it then head
back over to where you just were and cross the large chasm using the Hypershot.

On the other side, you bump into a few of those pesky little worker bots you
ran into earlier. Get rid of them, then use the Hacker on the door ahead. Once
you've successfully opened the door, take out the three troops inside using the
weapon of your choice, then head left up the stairs and into the long (and
dangerous) corridor. Proceed cautiously to the other side, taking out all sorts
of enemies along the way, until you, well... reach the other side. Here you
will find a door to your right, and a switch on the ledge directly in front of
you. This opens the door to a path that houses a Titanium Bolt. You can get it
now or later, it's your choice. Anyways, use the Hacker on the door and enter
the next room for a cutscene. When it's finished, use the teleporter to
transport yourself back to your ship.

Meet Courtney Gears
-------------------

The objective here is rather simple. All you have to do is traverse yet another
death course in order to meet Courtney Gears. At the end of the course however,
you end up being thrust into an arena battle. During this battle you'll only
fight a boss-type menace, so don't worry about conserving your ammo. That being
said, here's how to defeat it quickly and easily.

When the battle starts, the robot will enter the arena via the door opposite
where you're standing. Equip your Miniturret Glove and toss a couple of turrets
out in front of you. The robot will have no choice but to run right past them,
taking damage, in order to get to you. When he does eventually catch up to you
however, the robot will launch some razor discs at you via the ground. Simply
jump over these to avoid being hurt, continuing to fire at him while doing so.

After the series of razor discs has subsided, the robot will then approach you
and attack you with a flamethrower. Simply equip the charge boots and dash away
from the flames, then shoot at the bot from a distance with the weapon of your
choice. Just continue doing this until the robot is defeated, and you'll
receive your reward.

Repair the Satellite Laser Links
--------------------------------

When you start, equip the Refractor and head over to the laser beam just ahead
of you. Enter first-person mode and direct the beam over to the receiver on the
wall just to the left of the drawbridge. This will lower the bridge, allowing
you to continue on. Once you've crossed the bridge, head over to the boost jump
pad in front of you. Use this to launch yourself up to the floating island
positioned just to the left of the jump pad. Once there, direct the beam over
to the satellite on your right to successfully repair the first laser link.

After repairing the first link, drop down and head to the jump pad located
northwest of the island you were just on. Hop up onto the floating island
there, direct the beam over to the satellite nearby, then use the jump pad on
the edge of the island to launch yourself over to a set of blue stepping stones
located northeast of your current location. If you can't seem to find these,
simply pull up your map and look around for them. They're located above a small
pool of lava, so they shouldn't be too hard to find.

Once you've reached the platforms via the jump pad, continue to hop from
platform to platform until you reach solid ground. Next, turn slightly to the
left and use the jump pad to launch yourself up to the floating island located
even further to your left. Hop up to the island just above the one you're on by
using another jump pad, then whip out the Refractor and direct the laser to the
satellite behind you.

Next, drop down from the island you're currently on. Turn around and proceed
forward, ignoring the jump pad you come across. When you come to another set
of blue stepping stone-like platforms, use them like a spiral staircase to
reach the next area. Once there, hop from island to island until you reach yet
another red laser beam. Equip the Refractor and direct it to the satellite
hovering just above you to repair the link.

For the next laser, you must first locate it on your map in order to know where
you're going. If you look closely, you should see that the last laser is
located almost directly behind your ship. That being said, here's a shortcut to
save you some time getting to it: Backtrack a littleways to the set of blue
platforms you used in order to get to laser link you just repaired. Once there,
turn and face the elevated plateau on your left. Next, perform a stretch jump
into a glide in order to successfully cross the gap. Bear right and proceed
forward until you reach another jump pad. Hop up to the floating island, then
redirect the final laser beam to satellite above. This will lower the force
field that was previously guarding your entrance to the second moon: Pollux.
Simply use the jump pad located at the edge of the island you're on in order to
reach the telepad that takes you to the second moon.

Explore the Second Moon
-----------------------

When you're on Pollux, make a brief stop over at the Gadgetron vendor to stock
up on ammo if you need it. Next, turn left and head straight down the path,
disposing of the two small enemies in the way. When you reach a bridge, grab
the green 2x multiplier rate on the right, then destroy the two stronger bots
across the bridge accompanied by a small group of smaller ones. Once they're
all taken care of, head over to the jump pad and launch yourself up to the next
area.

Upon landing, you'll be greeted by a couple of enemies. Get rid of them, then
cross the bridge, turn right, and cross another bridge. Next, use the jump pad
located directly in front of you to take yourself up into the next area. Again,
when you land, you'll be confronted by an enemy, this time it's one of those
super strong bots we've become so accustomed to in Daxx. Take him out using the
weapon of your choice, then hop on the zipline at the edge of the platform and
glide down into the next area.

At the bottom, a few weak bots come charging at you. Destroy them, then head
RIGHT around the tower, collecting bolts and Nanotech if you need it. When
you've made one full lap around the pillar, head straight and proceed through
the archway, disposing of enemies while you do so. After they're all gone, use
the jump pad to again launch yourself up into the next area. Destroy the bots
you run into upon landing, then repeat this process for the area above you.

Once you've reached the very top, turn left and cross the bridge, grabbing the
bolts scattered about the area while doing so. On the other side of the bridge,
you'll be confronted by yet another small squadron of enemy bots accompanied by
a big bot. Get rid of them (a powerful weapon is recommended), then launch
yourself horizontally over to the next area via the triangular jump pad you
come across. When you land, you'll be treated to a cutscene with Skidd, along
with an emergency message from your fellow Ranger comrades who are under attack
in Blackwater City. Depending on what you feel like doing, you can either jet
on over to Blackwater City right away or have some fun in Holostar Studios
first.

Film a Secret Agent Clank Episode
---------------------------------

After the opening cutscene, you will be in control of Clank on the set of a new
Secret Agent Clank episode. When the director has finished giving you
instructions on what to do, take out the the small group of henchmen that lie
before you. When they're disposed of, head to the other side of the room and
destroy the switch on the left side of the doorway in order to deactivate the
force field, thus allowing you to enter the next area.

Next, hop from platform to platform until you reach the other side safe and
sound. Avoiding the sweep lasers on the floor, navigate your way around the
corner and meet up with your new sidekick, the monkey. Once inside the room
however, you will have to destroy a few more henchmen to make it safe for you
and your new sidekick to continue on. When they're gone, stand on the platform
on the left near the ledge and shoot a banana onto the adjacent switch. The
monkey will step on it and you will be transported to the top. Next, simply
shoot a banana onto the platform and step on the nearby switch to let the
monkey up as well. After you've done this, grab the Gadgebots up ahead and
continue on.

Almost immediately after you round up the Gadgebots, you'll come to a bridge.
Cross the bridge, and you should be face to face with a rather deep chasm that
seems impossible to cross... or is it? Simply aim carefully and launch a
banana across the gap and onto the switch on the other side. The monkey will
climb a nearby pole and shimmy all the way across. He will then step on the
switch, extending a bridge, and allowing you and the Gadgebots to cross safely
to the other side. Next, have the Gadgebots enter the little doorway on the
left in order to deactivate the blue energy barrier that lies before you. When
it's deactivated, head into the next area for a Giant Clank battle! Defeat the
monster and his ninja henchmen in order to complete your objective.

Escape the Tyhrranoid Ambush
----------------------------

After the cutscene, you'll know that Clank has been kidnapped and an
unsuspecting Ratchet is greeted with a very unpleasant Tyhrranoid ambush.
Anyways you're in control of Ratchet now, minus Clank, so be careful as to not
think he's strapped to your back like usual. That being said, proceed forward
and take out the rather tough enemies in front of you using a powerful weapon
such as the Annihilator if you have it, or even the Infector. When they're
gone, head to the end of the path and enter the room on your right.

As soon as the door opens, you're greeted by a few more Tyhrranoids. Take them
out from a distance with the Flux Rifle if you'd like, then continue on and
open the door on the other side of the room. Next, take out the three enemies
that are positioned directly in front of you. After you've disposed of them,
turn left and grab some bolts and Nanotech in the corner if you're low on
health, then head back in the opposite direction towards another mob of angry
Tyhrranoids. Dispose of them, then grab the green multiplier power-up on the
right side of the path against the wall. Use the Hacker on the console located
on the left side of the path next to an elevator shaft. Once you've completed
the puzzle, hop on the elevator and ride it up into the next area.

At the top, equip your Suck Cannon and suck up all of the little Tyhrranoids.
Next, launch those at the enemies taking cover across the room, then whip out
your Flux Rifle or N60 Storm to finish them off. As soon as they're gone, cross
the room to the console on the wall next to a door. Use the Hacker to open it,
then head outside into the next area. Once there, pick off the Tyhrranoid
patrolling the area on the other side of the gap with the Flux Rifle, then
Hypershot across the gap to where he just was. Grab the bolts and ammo in the
corner, then turn and face the two Tyhrranoids that just hovered up from the
ground below. Dispose of them, then Hypershot across the gap, get rid of the
small Tyhrranoids, dispose of the dropship, then Hypershot down into the next
area.

At the bottom, equip your Suck Cannon and suck up all of the small Tyhrranoids
around you. Next, snipe the larger Tyhrranoids from a distance with the Suck
Cannon in first-person mode. If you run out of ammo, switch over to the Flux
Rifle or Nitro Launcher to finish off the rest of them. When the coast is
clear, grab the Inferno Mode power-up on the left side of the path behind the
wall a Tyhrranoid was perched upon earlier. Sprint over to the next area, step
on the switch to your right, then fight your way down the alley to your ship.
Once there, a cutscene will play, showing Skidd getting into all kinds of
trouble over on Obani Draco.

Save Blackwater City
--------------------

When the mission starts, you'll be sky diving down to the battlefield. Like
your other adventures, all you have to do here is avoid the missiles until you
land. Once you've landed safely however, you'll quickly be swarmed by wave
after wave of Tyhrranoid scum. Dispose of them, then complete the next two
battles as well. As a reward for successfully completing all three battles, not
only will you be rewarded over 50,000 bolts, but a fellow Ranger will give you
a pair of Gravity Boots!

Find Skidd
----------

When you start, make a quick stop at the Gadgetron vendor if you'd like, then
proceed straight ahead, across the bridge. Stretch jump across the gap, then
enter the trippy little tunnel in front of you. Destroy any enemies that get in
your way, then continue on until you reach the tunnel's exit. Once there, you
should be standing in front of a path that seems to be perpendicular to the
floor. Traverse this path quickly and easily by simply strafing to go around
turns rather than actually trying to fully turn Ratchet's body. This makes you
more susceptible to falling off. Anyways, head to the end of the path and enter
the tunnel up ahead.

This tunnel, unlike the first, has a few tricks up its sleeve. The first thing
to look out for, and the most obvious, is that of a small fiery shockwave that
gets emitted from certain parts of the tunnel. Simply jump over these if you
find yourself in danger of being hit by one. The next hazard, or hazards I
should say, are that of red floor panels. Step on these, and Ratchet will get a
nasty little shock. Anyways avoid these hazards, including enemies, and proceed
to the end of the tunnel, hopefully unharmed.

Upon exiting the second tunnel, keep running straight ahead while following the
corkscrew path that lies ahead of you. You won't get far before you're
confronted by a small wave of the weak robots you've been destroying all
throughout the level. Dispose of them, then proceed to the end of the path
where you'll find a large dome with a single hole in its floor. Run over to it
and hop in. Proceed to the end of the tunnel using the same tactics as you did
for the second one, then carefully make your way across the path ahead to the
other side of the purple goo.

Once there, you'll have to navigate your way through one more tunnel. Next,
enter the room ahead to trigger a cutscene and eventually a battle with
Courtney Gears. Now before we get started with the battle, I must warn you that
it's rather confusing your first time around, and you'll probably end up dying
once or twice before you finally defeat her. Anyways, make sure you have your
Miniturret Glove and Annihilator ready, as you're going to need it.

When the battle starts, you'll be in the center of the small arena, facing
Courtney. This is your cue to fire away at her until she teleports to one of
the cages located around the perimeter of the stage. When she does this, her
dancing robot minions will appear in the center of the stage and well... dance
toward you. You can usually avoid any hassle from them by tossing a few
Miniturrets around the stage, but that's entirely up to you. Anyways, when you
locate Courtney in one of the cages, simply toss a Miniturret at the edge of
the stage closest to her, or just fire at her from a distance with the weapon
of your choice. Occasionally she'll teleport back onto the stage and launch
pink shockwaves at you. Just jump to avoid these and fire at her in between
waves. Keep repeating these processes until Courtney is defeated.

Joraal Nebula, Zeldrin Starport

Find Dr. Nefarious
------------------

From the starting point, head straight until you come to a fork in the path.
Ignore the path on the right for now and head left towards Qwark and his
monkey, accompanied by a couple of enemy soldiers who try to stand in your way.
Dispose of them, then approach Qwark for a cutscene that shows the whole lot of
you being transported to one of Nefarious' ships, of which is located in orbit
just outside of the Starport.

Once you're aboard the ship, make a quick stop at the Gadgetron vendor in front
of you, you're going to need as much ammo as you can here. Next, whip out your
Flux Rifle and snipe the rather large group of guards down below from a
distance. If they spot you (and they will), don't worry, you can destroy them
and dodge their gunfire with ease. When they're gone, proceed straight ahead,
down the corridor until you reach a latter. Climb this to ascend into the next
area.

Quickly take out the weapon of your choice, preferably the Miniturret Glove or
Annihilator, and take out the enemies that lie before you. When they're all
taken care of, grab the Nanotech located on your right, then head around the
pillar and destroy the enemies blocking your entrance to the next room. Next,
take out your Flux Rifle once again and snipe the bot patrolling the ledge on
the other side of the room. Enter the room and proceed straight ahead until you
reach an elevator-like platform. Hop on, and take the short trip up to the next
area.

At the top, immediately equip a weapon and dispose of the robots ahead. Head
around the pillar, destroy more bots, then enter the next room. Fight your way
down the rather narrow corridor until you reach the ramp on the other side of
the room. Run up this and into the elevator. At the top, you will be treated to
a nice little cutscene that shows Nefarious activating the ship's self-destruct
sequence. Right when you're about to make your escape, Qwark says he'll meet up
with you back at your shuttle. With that in mind, sprint as fast as you can
back to your ship, ignoring ALL enemies along the way (use the Charge Boots if
you'd like). You only have a minute, so hurry! When you've successfully reached
your ship however, you're forced to leave Qwark behind and return to the
Phoenix.

Back at the Phoenix, another cutscene will play, showing the ship's crew
attending a special memorial service for Qwark. After the cutscene, take some
time to play Qwark vid-comic 4, of which is given to you by Al. When you're
done with the vid-comic, take some time to stock up on ammo, new armor, or new
weapons if you have the bolts to do so. If not, head over to Annihilation
Nation to complete more challenges or Aquatos to collect sewer crystals.

==================
Metropolis, Kerwan
==================

Find Dr. Nefarious
------------------

From your ship, head straight down the ramp in front of you and use the Suck
Cannon to suck up the small Tyhrranoids that approach. Turn right and head into
the small room where you'll be confronted by a couple of large Tyhrranoids.
Dispose of them using the Suck Cannon ammo you just accumulated, or by using
the weapon of your choice. Grab the bolts scattered about the room, then head
outside. Follow the curved path until a dropship pops up from the area below.
Destroy it, then proceed to the end of the path. Toss a bomb or two from your
Nitro Launcher up onto the ledge in order to get rid of the two enemies there,
then climb on up into the next area.

From the ledge, turn right, hop up onto the windowsill and break the glass in
order to obtain a Skrunch Trophy (see "Trophies" section for more details).
Next, head in the opposite direction and stop on the ledge located high above
your next destination. From here, snipe all of the enemies down below using the
Flux Rifle, then hop down, proceed forward, and turn right at the end of the
path. Snipe the two enemies patrolling the grassy area ahead, then head forward
a little bit until two stronger enemies drop in through the roof. Dispose of
them as well, then proceed straight ahead to the grassy area where the two
troops were.

Once outside, two strong Tyhrranoids and a dropshop will pop up and attack you.
Toss some Miniturrets onto the ledge in order to get rid of them quickly and
easily. Next, turn left and repeat this process, as another Tyhrranoid dropship
emerges from the gap up ahead. When the ship and the enemies it transported are
gone, hop across the gap, turn left, and start traversing the path that leads
up the wall in front of you. Follow the path, disposing of enemies along the
way until you reach the end of it. Head over to the bolt crank just past the
laser receiver in front of you and turn it in order to move the receiver to the
correct spot. Use the Refractor to aim laser at the receiver, then do the same
for the other receiver located around the corner (just before the large) gap
against the wall. This will extend a bridge for you to cross.

On the other side of the bridge, destroy the Tyhrranoids and the dropship that
accompanies them, then proceed forward a littleways until a cutscene begins to
play. After the cutscene, you'll be face to face with Giant Clunk, the giant
form of the imposter you've been carrying around for the past couple of
missions. Anyways, this battle is VERY easy, as long as you have your Flux
Rifle upgraded to version 3 or 4, and your Annihilator upgraded to version 3 or
4 as well. Clunk has only one attack, and that's a red ball of energy he shoots
from his fist that explodes into a shockwave when it makes contact with the
ground. Simply jump over the shockwave and fire at him in between blasts, and
you should be able to dispose of him with little to no trouble at all.

When Clunk is destroyed, head back to your ship via the "taxi" nearby, then if
you'd like, you can try your hand at the optional battle missions you've
become accustomed to on other planets such as Marcadia. If you'd rather just
return to the Phoenix, then do so and come back to these missions later.

===================
Crash Site, Zeldrin
===================

Explore the Crash Site
----------------------

Upon arriving at the Phoenix, you're treated to a cutscene informing you of the
location where Nefarious' ship crash landed, as well as Qwark's supposed
whereabouts. After the cutscene, it'll be your job to investigate the crash
site back on Zeldrin.

From the start of the level, proceed straight ahead toward the platform that
juts out from the island your ship has landed on. From here, glide down to the
next area. Once there, you'll be swarmed by a couple of smaller bots
accompanied by a trio of larger, tougher bots. Dispose of them using the weapon
of your choice, then proceed straight ahead a littleways until you're ambushed
by another set of robots. Take them out, then run back to the Gadgetron vendor
and max out your ammo supply real quick. Using the low barriers for cover, take
out the next set of enemies, then head around the corner to the clearing just
up ahead.

Once there, quickly dart into the large pipe on the right, as it contains an
Inferno Mode power-up. Next, run around the surrounding area, disposing of each
and every robot until the coast is clear. Proceed straight ahead, and take out
the smaller robots located in and around the tunnel with the N60 Storm. As you
further approach the tunnel, three more bots will warp in and unleash a hail of
gunfire upon you. Not to worry, a couple shots each from your Annihilator
should do the trick. Once they're gone, keep going straight until another squad
of robots warp in across the gap up ahead. Take them out with your Flux Rifle
or Nitro Launcher, then head across the gap and into the next area.

Grab the Nanotech in the corner of the area. Then turn around and climb the
ledge that lies before you in order to confront one of those giant bots you've
encountered on Daxx as well as other planets. Get rid of him, then climb the
next ledge to encounter yet another one of these larger bots. Destroy him, then
toss a couple of Miniturrets out into the clearing here, as robots will soon
flood the area. Let them take out as many enemies as possible, then strafe
around the rest while firing at them with the Annihilator or another powerful
weapon you happen to have in your arsenal. When they're destroyed, take the
elevator located at the back of the clearing up to the next area.

When you reach the top, quickly dispose of the enemies that appear in front of
you, then toss some Miniturrets up on the ledge. Climb the ledge to get the
enemies' attention, then quickly drop back down off of the ledge and let the
turrets do their thing. Climb back up to finish them off, then turn left and
head around the corner for some Nanotech if you need it. Next, use your
Hypershot to reach the next area.

Approach the ship that lies before you for a cutscene that features Qwark
calling a cab dressed like a woman, as well as Ratchet discovering a Datadisk
on the floor of the escape pod Qwark crash landed in. After the cutscene, visit
the Gadgetron vendor to max out your ammo supply, then use your Hypershot to
form platforms that allow you to safely cross the gap into the next area.

Once there, toss a couple of Miniturrets around the area as robots will soon
warp in from nothingness all around you. Dispose of them any which way you'd
like after the turrets disappear, then begin to run up the tower in front of
you. Continue to follow this path, turning and destroying enemies when
necessary, until you reach the large circular platform at the end of it. Next,
destroy the enemies that come charging at you, then take the zipline on the
left back to your ship in order to receive a transmission from some Rangers
in distress on Aridia.

After the cutscene, take the Datadisk back to the Phoenix so Al can analyze it.
Once he's finished, he hands you a copy of the supposedly non-existant Qwark
vid-comic episode 5! Head over to your living quarters to play it real quick,
then jet on over to Aridia to help your Ranger buddies fight off some
Tyhrranoid scum.

===================
Outpost X12, Aridia
===================

This objective requires you to complete a series of five battle missions, each
of which become progressively harder and reward you with a certain amount of
bolts upon completing them. After you've successfully completed all five
missions, a Galactic Ranger will introduce you to the Warp Pad, and will give
you one to call your own. Next, hop back in your ship and fly on over to
Qwark's Hideout located in the Thran Asteroid Belt.

====================================
Qwark's Hideout, Thran Asteroid Belt
====================================

Find Captain Qwark
------------------

Shortly after your ship lands, you receive a message from Slim Cognito saying
that the Bouncer is now available in his "shop" on Aquatos. Head over there if
you'd like, then return to Qwark's hideout to begin your mission. Anyways, from
the start of the level, head straight and use the moving platform to reach the
other side of the pool. Destroy the two psycho ninja gnomes that rush at you,
then proceed forward a little bit and follow the instructions that are given
pertaining to the use of the Warp Pad. That being said, head over to the switch
in front of you in order to raise the platform here to the top, then quickly
warp there by pressing the Circle button before the platform descends back down
to the bottom.

From the platform, head straight into the next area and dispose of the small
group of gnomes that comes charging at you, along with the gnome-producing
machine located to your right. Next, grab the Nanotech if you need it, then
proceed down the alleyway ahead, disposing of the robotic Qwarks along the way.
When you reach a ledge, use it to hop up into the next area and destroy yet
another small group of gnomes. When they're gone, head straight PAST the switch
in front of you to the Warp Pad. Set your warp point, run back over to the
switch, step on it, then quickly warp over to the pad and run past the
temporarily disabled energy barrier into the next area.

Once there, use the zipline to glide down to the area below. Immediately after
you land, grab the green 2x multiplier crate and destroy the icy wall that
blocks your entrance to the first room on the right. Quickly slide over to it
and hop in to grab a rather large amount of bolts. From here, use your
Miniturret Glove or Nitro Launcher to take out a majority of the Qwark bots
that litter the path up ahead. When the deed is done, exit the small room and
proceed down the path until you reach a ladder leading up to the next area.

Turn left and approach the ledge ahead of you. Equip your Hypershot and swing
across the gap to the area below, but watch out for the sweep laser! You can
shoot it to temporarily disable it, so I suggest you do that before landing on
the island. Once there, you're immediately confronted by a small group of
Qwark bots. Destroy them (while still avoiding the laser), then proceed up the
set of "stairs" next to you. Next, hop across the small river and kill the
gnomes on the other side. Glide down into the next area (watch out for another
sweep laser), then eradicate the group of Qwark bots that confronts you.

In the next room, you'll come across some more gnomes, of which are being
produced by another machine. Destroy them all, grab the Nanotech located nearby
if you need it, then hop up onto the ledge ahead of you and snipe the Qwark
bots that are scattered about the room. Head straight to the back of the room,
then turn left and enter the small room here to obtain a Captain Qwark trophy!
Next, head over to Qwark's room just in time to be shut out.

After this, you must send Clank down into the Underground Caverns. Once you're
in control of Clank, proceed forward down the narrow corridor and cross the
small pool of water ahead by carefully hopping from platform to platform. On
the other side, you should notice two rooms: one to your left, and one to your
right. Each room possesses a Gadgebot, so grab them both and have them destroy
the fan that's blocking your path. Next, have the two Gadgebots enter the small
portal in front of you in order to disable the blue energy barrier, thus
allowing you to enter the next area.

Proceed forward and carefully navigate your way past the lasers, then turn
right and hop from platform to platform in order to safely cross the pool of
water. After the short cutscene, you must again hop across the pool of water
utilizing the platforms that have just fallen into their place in front of you
from the ceiling. When you've safely crossed over to the other side, another
short cutscene will play that results in your possession of the banana gun and
Qwark's monkey. Next, shoot a banana under the spotlight in order to distract
the building's security system. Run past the frantic monkey, then launch
another banana across the gap in front of you in order to allow the monkey to
cross safely, then use your Heli-Pack to get yourself across.

Once you've safely crossed the gap, launch another banana under the spotlight,
run past it, then shoot yet another banana across the gap ahead and onto the
switch on the other side. The monkey will then cross the gap and step on the
switch, thus extending a bridge out towards you. Cross it over to the other
side, then destroy the group of gnomes accompanied by another gnome-producing
machine. When they're gone, proceed to the back of the room you're in and take
the small elevator up to the next level. Kill the gnomes here, then grab the
Gadgebot up ahead. Next, proceed to the other two rooms located within the
giant room you're in and grab the last two Gadgebots there. Have the bots enter
the portal in order to deactivate the energy barrier.

Pass through the barrier into the next area. Carefully navigate your way
through the laser beams up ahead, then step on the switch there in order to
initiate a cutscene with Qwark. After the cutscene, you'll receive a
transmission from Sasha informing you that the Phoenix is under attack! Quickly
fly on over to it to begin eradicating the enemy infestation that lies within
its walls.

Phoenix Under Attack
====================

Get to the Bridge
-----------------

As soon as you land, you're greeted by a small wave of ninjas that, sadly
enough, almost always destroy the Rangers no matter how hard you try to save
them. That being said, take out the ninja bots by using the weapon of your
choice (the Bouncer works well here), then make a quick stop at the Gadgetron
vendor to max out your ammo supply before continuing on. You won't get far
before another wave of ninjas comes charging at you. Dispose of them, then, if
you haven't upgraded your armor in a while, stop off at the armor vendor to do
so. Next, head up the flight of stairs ahead and destroy the shuriken-throwing
ninjas that reside there.

When you proceed into the next area, you should notice a group of 3 or 4 bots
that jump up and cling to a portion of the ceiling. Whip out your Flux Rifle
and destroy them, then do the same for the bots that are roaming about the area
below. When they're gone, drop down into the next area, grab the Nanotech
located nearby if you need it, then hop up the ledge on your left and snipe the
ninjas hiding out in the area across the gap in front of you. Next, Hypershot
across the gap, turn left, and climb the ledge into the next area.

Proceed straight ahead, disposing of even more ninjas until you reach a ladder
on the other side of the hallway. Climb it, then equip your Refractor and
direct the laser over to the receiver on the left side of the door. As you
approach the door, more ninjas drop down from the ceiling. Run back to the
ladder and climb up to where you just were in order to dispose of them quickly
and easily. Head into the next room and destroy the monstrous robot stationed
here that's accompanied by, yes, you guessed it, more ninjas. When they're
gone, turn right, climb the ledge and open the door. Destroy the ninjas that
come charging out at you by utilizing the Miniturret Glove and Bouncer (if you
have it), then enter the next room to initiate a cutscene.

Get Inside the Command Center
-----------------------------

When you exit your ship upon arrival, you receive another message from Slim
pertaining to a Plasma Coil he just picked up. By all means, GO GET IT. It's
power is simply incredible and cannot be topped by any other weapon (with the
exception of the R.Y.N.O. of course). After you've done so, proceed straight
ahead and destroy the small robots that confront you. Keep going straight, then
turn left at the intersection and head into the large clearing ahead. Once
there, you're immediately ambushed by a rather large group of small robots
accompanied by another monstrous one. When they're taken care of, head into the
next area.

As soon as you enter the clearing, you're immediately swarmed by a seemingly
infinite amount of enemies. Simply throw out a Miniturret here and there and
keep moving to get through this with little to no damage inflicted upon
yourself. Next, continue along the path and make a right followed by another
right. Proceed down the alleyway ahead, disposing of all enemies that stand in
your way until you reach the entrance to a large room. Enter the room, then
whip out your Annihilator or Plasma Coil in order to take out the two normal
robots accompanied by a single gargantuan one. When they're gone, head across
the gap, destroy more enemies, then hop up the stack of crates on your right
and enter the next area.

Before you go roaming about the area, searching for bolts and whatnot, you
should begin approach the door on the opposite side of the area in order to rid
yourself of all enemy annoyances you might encounter while doing so. Next,
traverse the area in search of bolts and Nanotech, then head into the next
room. Once there, make a left and go PAST the telepad to the Gadgetron vendor.
Stock up on ammo, then continue on.

As you enter the next area, a dropship and a small group of enemies decide to
pay you a visit. Destroy them all, then climb the ledge up ahead. Eradicate the
troops that patrol the area in front of you, then snipe the bots that are
perched upon the ledge. Next, grab the Nanotech located nearby if you need it,
then head straight until yet another dropship comes flying in. Destroy it along
with the enemies it drops off, then head around the corner and destroy the bots
that are stationed on the ledge up ahead. When the coast is clear, proceed up
the spiral path and enter the next area.

Destroy the monstrous robot along with his smaller accomplices, then proceed
down the alleyway ahead and grab the Inferno Mode power-up located on the left
side of the path. Quickly sprint ahead, disposing of as many enemies as you can
before the power-up wears off, then cross the bridge at the end of the path and
enter the next room for a cutscene.

Command Center, Mylon
=====================

Battle Your Way to the Launch Site
----------------------------------

As soon as you exit your ship upon landing, you receive a message from Slim
pertaining to the Shield Charger. Before you go any further, it'd be in your
best interest to pick this bad boy up if you have the money to do so, as it's
much more useful than the Holo-Shield Glove. Anyways, once you're done with
that, head back to Mylon and begin your objective.

From your ship, head over to the ledge located directly in front of you and
snipe the two Tyhrranoids patrolling the area below. Next, equip your Hypershot
and swing across the gap to the other side. As soon as you land, the door in
front of you opens, thus pitting you against three more Tyhrranoids: one that's
clearly visible as soon as the door opens, and two more that are hiding behind
the pillars up ahead. Destroy them, then snipe the two guards that are
stationed upon the ledges directly in front of you. When they're gone, proceed
straight ahead, hop over the small pool of goo, then run up the wall in front
of you into. Destroy the two enemies that pop out at you, then continue up the
wall and into the next area.

Step on the switch that lies directly in front of you in order to deactivate
the energy barrier ahead, then equip the Tyhrra-Guise and convince the robot to
let you ride the elevator into the next area. Unequip the Tyhrra-Guise
momentarily so you can successfully climb the ladder in front of you, then
re-equip it at the top in order to converse with yet another robot Tyhrranoid
guard. Proceed into the next area, then ride the elevator down to the level
below.

Destroy the robots that approach, then take out the three guards that are on
patrol across the gap ahead. Grab the green multiplier crate on the right, then
Hypershot across the gap to the other side. Dispose of the two enemies that pop
out of the room in front of you, then take some time to grab the bolts located
inside in order to put that multiplier power-up to good use. Next, exit the
room, turn right, and continue on down the path. When you reach a large
clearing of sorts, snipe all of the enemies stationed here from a distance in
order to stay in good health (Shield Charger as well). When they're gone, head
over to the door located on the other side of the clearing, then use the Hacker
to open it.

Enter the room and eradicate the small group of enemies stationed here. Next,
head over to the bolt crank located on the right and turn it until the receiver
moves into place. Equip the Refractor, then aim the laser beam at the receiver
located in the center of the room (the one you just moved). After that, head
over to the wall on your left near the door and run up to the laser here.
Direct the beam to the receiver located on the door's left, then do the same
for the laser beam located on the right side of the room. When you've
successfully done all of this, the door will open, allowing you to enter the
next area.

As you enter the next room, immediately equip the weapon of your choice and
dispose of the enemies that attack you. When the coast is clear, proceed
straight ahead and head around the corner for a cutscene. When the cutscene is
finished, the final bout with Dr. Nefarious will be unlocked. Now, before you
dive into this rather challenging battle, please take some time to read the
tips provided for you in the next section.

Defeat Dr. Nefarious
--------------------

Well, this is it, the final showdown between you and Dr. Nefarious! Before you
dive into the action, it'd be in your best interest to carefully read the
following:

- Make sure your most powerful weapons are upgraded to at least V4 or 5. This
will make each part of the battle go much more smoothly. Not sure of what
weapons you should use? Not to worry, that's what I'm here for! First off,
you can never go wrong with the Plasma Coil, as it's just about the most
powerful weapon in the entire game next to the R.Y.N.O. and maybe a couple of
others. Next, make sure you have the Bouncer, Splitter Rifle, Megaturret
Glove, and the Decimator, as well as the Shield Charger. Having these will
  help you out a lot!

- In terms of gadgets, make sure you have the Gadgetron PDA, which can be found
in Qwark's Hideout. The PDA will allow you constantly max out your ammo
supply, no matter where you are, which is absolutely necessary in this
  battle.

Alright, got all that? Good, let's get started. When you've successfully landed
inside of the arena, Nefarious will immediately send a holographic image of
himself rocketing towards you. This can be easily avoided by simply strafing
while constantly firing away at him using the weapon of your choice. Next,
Nefarious will fire a sweep laser at you from each of his hands. Again, these
can be easily avoided by simply strafing and jumping when the beams get near.
Nefarious' third attack is that of a shockwave he creates by firing a giant
blue laser beam at the ground in front of him. Simply jump to avoid these, and
when you've damaged Nefarious enough, he will feign death and run away into the
next area.

Before you run after Nefarious, take some time to grab the Nanotech and ammo
that are strewn about the arena, then head into the next area. Once you enter
the barren wasteland, you're immediately confronted by a swarm of Nefarious'
henchmen. Do whatever it takes to dispose of them, and make sure you utilize
the Shield Charger in order to keep your health intact. If you wish to save the
Shield Charger's ammo however, then you can simply grab the Nanotech that's
strewn about the area. When you get about a quarter of the way across the area,
Nefarious throws a tantrum and launches a nasty blue laser at you. Hop all over
the place to avoid this, then continue on. When you approach the bridge located
in the top left corner of the area, Nefarious will retreat.

As you cross the bridge that lies before you, more and more enemies will appear
and attack you. Just keep moving and firing away at them until it's safe to
move on, using the Gadgetron PDA when needed. As you approach the end of the
bridge, a few Galactic Rangers warp in and help you fight off the robot scum!
When you reach the end of the bridge however, the Rangers retreat and you're
left to fight Nefarious alone. Nefarious' attacks are basically the same as
round one's, except he adds two new ones to the mix. The first one is that of
the giant blue beam he launched at you a little while ago. The second attack is
that of multiple holograms he spits out at you instead of just one. Utilize the
Shield Charger here and fire away at him until his health is gone.

When you "defeat" Nefarious, the Biobliterator will transform into a giant
robot... joy. Not to worry, Captain Qwark flies in to help out! Anyways, after
the cutscene, hop in the nearby Hovership and fire away at the giant bot until
it's destroyed. This round's fairly easy, just watch out for the volleys of
missiles Nefarious launches at you. If you're Hovership is destroyed before
the Biobliterator bot is, you can either use your Splitter Rifle to further
damage it, or you can hop in another Hovership that's located across the bridge
to your right (from the starting point). When the robot is destroyed, Nefarious
and Lawrence will be out of the picture for good, and the game will be
completed. Congratulations!

-= 5. Weapons =-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Below you will find an in-depth look at all of the weapons that are available
to you throughout the game. Please keep in mind that with each upgrade, a
weapon's power and ammo capacity increases.

================
Standard Weapons
================

Shock Blaster
-------------

Cost: Starting weapon
First Available: Kyzil Plateau, Veldin
Initial Ammo Capacity: 30
Ammo Cost: 5
Description: The Shock Blaster is your standard futuristic shotgun. Its decent
power and high ammo capacity make it a rather good and versatile weapon,
despite its short range.

- V2: The Shock Blaster V2 allows you to charge your shots in order to release
a more powerful blast. Works well against tougher enemies.

- V3: This version features the Lock-On Mod, which allows you to lock-on to
enemies by simply pressing and holding the L2 and R2 buttons simultaneously.

- V4: Version 4 enables the Shock Mod, of which allows each successful shot to
emit small jolts of electricity that damage surrounding enemies.

- Shock Cannon: The Shock Cannon allows you to further charge your shots in
order to release a rather powerful "beam of death."

Nitro Launcher
--------------

Cost: Starting weapon
First Available: Kyzil Plateau, Veldin
Initial Ammo Capacity: 8
Ammo Cost:
Description: Launches bombs loaded with explosive charges. Its large blast
radius and decent range make the Nitro Launcher a great weapon for taking out
multiple enemies at once.

- V2: Acid Mod combines corrosive acids with each explosive charge, thus
increasing the amount of damage done with each successful hit.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: The Nitro Launcher V4 increases each bomb's blast radius, thus causing
damage to even more enemies with a single shot.

- Nitro Eruptor: Each bomb unleashes a volley of missiles upon detonating. Its
power is double that of V4.

Plasma Whip
-----------

Cost: 7,500
First Available: Nabla Forest, Florana
Initial Ammo Capacity: 25
Ammo Cost: 3
Description: Personally, I think the Plasma Whip is extraordinarily useless,
as your Omni-Wrench is more powerful. The only good feature this weapon has is
that it acts very much like the Lava Gun, as each swing causes the whip to wrap
around your entire body, thus freeing yourself from a potentially bad
situation.

- V2: No special add-ons here, except for the standard changes that all weapons
go through during an upgrade (i.e. an increase in ammo capacity and power).

- V3: Same as V2, only slightly more powerful.

- V4: Perform an Overhead Smash to create a shockwave that emits itself from
  the whip.

- Quantum Whip: Upon successfully completing a combo (three consecutive hits)
with the whip, a series of shockwaves will be emitted from it, thus causing
  more damage to surrounding enemies.

N60 Storm
---------

Cost: 15,000
First Available: Nabla Forest, Florana
Initial Ammo Capacity: 150
Ammo Cost: 2
Description: The N60 Storm has got to be one of the most useful weapons in the
game when you're playing through most of the earlier levels. However, as you
progress through the game, the N60 Storm's usefulness tends to fade away, thus
leaving you with an ultimately useless weapon. Aside from that, it's fast rate
of fire, high ammo capacity, and decent range make the N60 Storm a great weapon
to have in your arsenal.

- V2: The weapon's range is increased slightly, and all missed shots will
ricochet off of walls when indoors.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: Shock Mod added.

- N90 Hurricance: The weapon's rate of fire is drastically increased, thus
making it more useful against tougher enemies in addition to an increase in
  power and ammo capacity.

Infector
--------

Cost: 18,000
First Available: Starship Phoenix
Initial Ammo Capacity: 15
Ammo Cost: 20
Description: This bad boy fires out green, slow-moving globs off infectious goo
that cause enemies to turn on each other until the infection wears off. Along
with that, each globs slowly eats away at each enemy until they're destroyed.
Pretty neat, eh?

- V2: Each glob will infect weakened enemies that surround the initial target.

- V3: Upon reaching their targets, each glob will emit a small amount of
infectious goo that will infect surrounding enemies.

- V4: Globs will inflict damage at a faster rate.

- Infecto-Bomb: Same as V4, only more powerful and each glob will create a
larger "blast radius" when it comes into contact with an enemy.

Suck Cannon
-----------

Cost: 8,000
First Available: Starship Phoenix
Initial Ammo Capacity: N/A
Ammo Cost: N/A
Description: The Suck Cannon possesses the ability to suck up smaller enemies
and fire them back out as explosive missiles. How does it do this you ask?
Well, to tell you the truth, I really don't know. What I do know however, is
that the Suck Cannon can prove to be extremely useful when you find yourself
being swarmed by whorde after whorde of annoying puny Tyhrranoids.

- V2: Range is increased, and all missed shots will ricochet off of walls when
  you're indoors.

- V3: Version 3 increases the cannon's capacity, AND turns all projectiles into
  flaming missiles of doom.

- V4: Nothing special here except for the standard increase in power every
weapon goes through during an upgrade.

- Vortex Cannon: This bad boy turns all projectiles into giant flaming comets
  of sorts.

Spitting Hydra
--------------

Cost: 40,000
First Available: Capital City, Marcadia
Initial Ammo Capacity: 15
Ammo Cost: 5
Description: The Spitting Hydra allows you to target multiple enemies at once,
thus allowing you to conserve ammo. Although this may sound great, the weapon's
short range and lack of power make it rather useless against tougher enemies.

- V2: Can target 4 enemies at once instead of 3.

- V3: Can target 5 enemies at once instead of 4.

- V4: Can target 6 enemies at once instead of 5

- Tempest: Surprisingly weak for a final upgrade, the Tempest allows you to
target up to 7 enemies at once, but you'll find yourself draining it of all
its ammo before you can even completely dispose of one enemy.

Agents of Doom
--------------

Cost: 60,000
First Available: Annihilation Nation, Station Q9
Initial Ammo Capacity: 6
Ammo Cost: 75
Description: This weapon allows you to toss out small eggs that hatch into 4
agents. These little guys come in handy when you find yourself not wanting to
run out into the line of fire right away. Their surprisingly powerful upgrades
make this weapon a must-have in your arsenal.

- V2: Agents are equipped with laser cannons.

- V3: The agents' laser cannons are fitted with machine gun-like technology,
thus increasing their rate of fire.

- V4: Agents are equipped with jet-packs.

- Agents of Dread: Each agent can now fire heat-seeking missiles, and upon
dying, they create tiny nuclear explosions. Like the Nitro Launcher, the
Agents of Dread prove themselves to be very, very useful when you're
confronted by large groups of enemies.

Flux Rifle
----------

Cost: 75,000
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos
Initial Ammo Capacity: 10
Ammo Cost: 50
Description: The Flux Rifle is your standard sniper rifle with a futuristic
twist. It allows you to pick off enemies from a distance with a rather large
amount of power. That being said, it'd be a good idea to add this bad boy to
your arsenal, it comes in handy a lot throughout the game.

- V2: Shots pierce enemies' armor.

- V3: Shots will travel through enemies and hit whatever's behind them.

- V4: Upon hitting an enemy, each shot will explode, thus inflicting damage
  upon surrounding enemies.

- Splitter Rifle: This puppy is single-handedly the most powerful weapon in the
game next to the Plasma Coil. It's superb range accompanied by its awesome
power make it a great addition to your Quick Select ring.

Annihilator
-----------

Cost: 150,000
First Available: Korgon Base, Tyhrranosis
Initial Ammo Capacity: 20
Ammo Cost: 20
Description: Ah, yes, the Annihilator. What a terrific weapon this is! Now
although it looks like your typical missile launcher (almost), the Annihilator
packs quite a punch. As you may have already guessed, its power increases
drastically with each upgrade, thus making it an extremely good addition to
your arsenal.

- V2: This version allows each missile to unleash a series of small explosive
mines upon impact. This increases the weapon's already insanely high power
level and makes it useful against small groups of tougher enemies.

- V3: Same as V2, only the mines gain homing capabilities.

- V4: Lock-On Mod added.

- Decimator: This big guy unleashes a dozen "mini-missiles" upon making contact
  with an enemy.

Holoshield Glove
----------------

Cost: 30,000
First Available: Korgon Base, Tyhrranosis
Initial Ammo Capacity: 8
Ammo Cost: 20
Description: Holoshields are simply small energy barriers that protect you from
enemy fire. Up to 4 Holoshields can be deployed at once, but they can only take
a certain amount of damage before they disintegrate. In my opinion, these are
absolutely useless, and your best bet would probably be to stick with the
Shield Charger that becomes available later on in the game.

- V2: Each shield will drain energy from nearby enemies.

- V3: Gains the ability to absorb enemy projectiles, as well as the ability to
  shock surrounding enemies.

- V4: The Holoshields increase in size, and their ability to drain energy from
  enemies is slightly enhanced.

- Ultrashield Launcher: For each hit a shield takes, it emits a series of
shock blasts that damage surrounding enemies.

Disc Blade Gun
--------------

Cost: 175,000
First Available: Obani Gemini, The Zygan System
Initial Ammo Capacity: 25
Ammo Cost: 10
Description: The Disc Blade Gun is basically the Chopper from Going Commando in
gun form. As you may have already guessed, the weapon launches flying bladed
discs out at enemies. Its decent power and great upgrades make the Disc Blade
Gun another must-have in your arsenal.

- V2: Discs will ricochet off of walls.

- V3: Discs will now ricochet off of enemies.

- V4: The weapon's range is increased, AND it gains homing capabilities.

- Multi-Disc Gun: Aside from its great increase in power, each disc will break
into smaller fragments and continue to eat away at enemies until they're
  destroyed.

Rift Inducer
------------

Cost: 180,000
First Available: Lot 42, Holostar Studios
Initial Ammo Capacity: 8
Ammo Cost: 100
Description: This bad boy creates small black holes that suck up enemies in
seconds flat. If you have the bolts, I strongly suggest you pick this weapon
up, as its upgrades allow you to combine multiple black holes in order to
create one massive hole of death.

- V2: Allows you to combine 2 black holes in order to form a single, more
  powerful large one.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: Gravitational pull from each black hole becomes stronger, thus increasing
  its range in a way.

- Rift Ripper: Each black hole will shock nearby enemies.

Qwack-O-Ray
-----------

Cost: 200,000
First Available: Outpost X12, Aridia
Initial Ammo Capacity: N/A
Ammo Cost: N/A
Description: The Qwack-O-Ray is the trademark "turn bad guys into animals" type
weapon the series is known for. This time around, the weapon turns enemies into
ducks. Keep in mind however that the transformation process tends to take
longer with larger, stronger enemies.

- V2: Ducks will lay explosive eggs.

- V3: The eggs gain homing capabilities, thus drawing themselves toward
  enemies.

- V4: Ducks will attack enemies, causing a distraction. This will allow you to
dispose of the enemies you're confronted by with ease.

- Qwack-O-Blitzer: This puppy turns enemies into flaming ducks (yes, they're on
fire) that follow you around and attack nearby enemies.

==================
Old School Weapons
==================

Miniturret Glove
----------------

Cost: 25,000 (free with Going Commando save)
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos (Slim Cognito)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 10
Ammo Cost: 30
Description: Returning from Going Commando, the Miniturret Glove allows you to
toss out small turrets that will attack nearby enemies. Out of all of the
must-have weapons I've told you about, this one's probably the most important.
It works great in almost any situation, and its also one of the most powerful
weapons in the game!

- V2: No special add-ons here, except for the standard changes that all weapons
go through during an upgrade (i.e. an increase in ammo capacity and power).

- V3: Turrets will now throw a bit of ice damage into each shot.

- V4: Turrets will seek out enemies a lot faster.

- Megaturret Glove: Turrets will now fire heat-seeking missiles, of which are
much more powerful than the standard blasts of its previous versions.

Lava Gun
--------

Cost: 40,000 (free with Going Commando save)
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos (Slim Cognito)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 150
Ammo Cost: 3
Description: Yes, it's back, and it's not ruined by a terrible upgrade that
launches slow moving fiery rocks. Like the Plasma Whip, the Lava Gun works
great when you're surrounded by whorde after whorde of enemies (i.e.
Annihilation Nation battles).

- V2: Acid Mod added.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: No special add-ons here, except for the standard changes that all weapons
go through during an upgrade (i.e. an increase in ammo capacity and power).

- Liquid Nitrogen Gun: Emits a stream of liquid nitrogen that freezes anything
it comes in contact with (i.e. enemies).

Shield Charger
--------------

Cost: 250,000 (free with Going Commando save)
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos (after visting Planet Mylon)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 3
Ammo Cost: 500
Description: The Shield Charger engulfs Ratchet in a red, impenetrable bubble.
Like I stated above, you should skip the Holoshield Glove and go right for this
puppy, as its incredibly useful, especially in the later stages of the game.

- V2: No special add-ons here, except for the standard changes that all weapons
go through during an upgrade (i.e. an increase in ammo capacity and power).

- V3: No changes.

- V4: Same as version 3.

- Tesla Barrier: Creates much stronger shields that shock nearby enemies.

Bouncer
-------

Cost: 150,000 (free with Going Commando save)
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos (after visiting Qwark's Hideout)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 10
Ammo Cost: 50
Description: The Bouncer launches gigantic bombs that explode into a ton of
tiny little fragments, of which also explode, causing massive damage to
surrounding enemies. Like the Miniturret Glove, the Bouncer is another
must-have weapon that should stay in your Quick Select menu at all times.

- V2: Acid Mod added.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: No changes.

- Heavy Bouncer: Each gigantic bomb releases a greater amount of explosive
fragments, of which produce even larger explosions and cause more damage.

Plasma Coil
-----------

Cost: 250,000
First Available: Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos (after visiting Nefarious BFG)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 15
Ammo Cost: 50
Description: Despite its low ammo capacity, the Plasma Coil's sheer power and
decent range make it an all-around great weapon to have in your arsenal. It's
first version alone is stronger than most other weapon's final version, so you
can see why this is true. If you have the bolts, I strongly suggest you add it
to your arsenal as soon as possible.

- V2: Acid Mod added.

- V3: Lock-On Mod added.

- V4: No changes.

- Plasma Storm: Each ball of electricity will shock nearby enemies as it
  travels towards its target.

RY3NO
-----

Cost: 3,000,000
First Available: Nabla Forest, Florana (during Challenge Mode)
Initial Ammo Capacity: 25
Ammo Cost: 1,000
Description: Now although the RY3NO isn't truly an old school weapon, its
predecessors have been featured in previous Ratchet & Clank games. It's
single-handedly the most powerful weapon in the entire game, and is obviously
an outstanding addition to your arsenal (if you can afford it). For those of
you who aren't familiar with the R.Y.N.O. weapons from the previous games,
they're basically giant missile launchers that can fire up to 8 missiles at
once.

- V2: Can fire up to 12 missiles at once, and enemies basically disintegrate
when missiles make contact with them.

- V3: Can fire up to 14 missiles at once.

- V4: Can fire up to 16 missiles at once.

- Rynocirator: This beast of a weapon annihilates all on-screen enemies in one
  gigantic volley of missiles.

-= 7. Gadgets =-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Below you will find an in-depth look at all of the gadgets that are available
to you throughout the game.

================
Standard Gadgets
================

Refractor
---------

Where Obtained: Capital City, Marcadia
Description: The Refractor allows Ratchet to safely direct laser beams to the
target of his choice. You'll find yourself solving puzzles based on this
technique, so get used to using it.

Tyhrra-Guise
------------

Where Obtained: Annihilation Nation
Description: This gadget disguises you as a Tyhrranoid. It comes in
exceptionally handy when you're forced to converse with other Tyhrranoids in
order to progress in the game.

Hypershot
---------

Where Obtained: Starship Phoenix
Description: The Hypershot allows Ratchet to swing himself across gaps that
would be otherwise impassable. When you see glowing green orbs hovering above
things such as these, whip out your Hypershot and use the Circle button to
swing across.

Warp Pad
--------

Where Obtained: Outpost X12, Aridia
Description: The Warp Pad, although ultimately useless in most levels
throughout the game, allows you to warp from one location to another without
running. To use it, simply set a point to warp to via a "warp pad," then head
back to the original pad and warp to that location. It may seem complicated,
but it really isn't.

Gravity Boots
-------------

Where Obtained: Blackwater City, Rilgar
Description: The Gravity Boots allow Ratchet to basically walk on walls,
however he can only do so on specific surfaces.

Gadgetron PDA
-------------

Where Obtained: Qwark's Hideout, Thran Asteroid Belt
Description: Although the ammo provided for you by the PDA costs 10 times more
than it should, it comes in exceptionally handy during the final boss battle,
as well as Challenge Mode, if you choose to complete it.

Hacker
------

Where Obtained: Starship Phoenix
Description: The Hacker allows Ratchet to pick locks in a rather strange way.
Using the Hacker will immerse you in a mini-game of sorts that has you
collecting green goo and destroying red goo before it reaches the perimeter of
the circle-shaped "lock."

Bolt Grabber V2
---------------

Where Obtained: Joraal Nebula, Zeldrin Starport
Description: Like the original Bolt Grabber, this bad boy simply gathers bolts
for you without making you run all over to the place to do so.

Nano-Pack
---------

Where Obtained: Crash Site, Zeldrin
Description: The Nano-Pack provides Ratchet with a small amount of Nanotech
when he's low on health. It does this by allowing you to continue to collect
Nanotech even though Ratchet's health is full.

Map-O-Matic
-----------

Where Obtained: Metropolis, Kerwan
Description: The Map-O-Matic reveals areas of the level that weren't originally
visible on the map by... well, revealing them. These secret areas generally
contain special items such as trophies or Titanium Bolts.

*******************************************************************************

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-= 8. Trophies =-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Below you will find an in-depth look at all of the trophies that can be
collected throughout the game. Keep in mind that there are two different kinds
of trophies: Floor Trophies and Character Trophies.

==============
Floor Trophies
==============

- Friend of the Rangers: Complete all Ranger Battle Missions.

- Annihilation Nation Champion: Complete all Annihilation Nation challenges.

- Skill Master: Collect all 30 Skill Points.

- Titanium Collector: Collect all 40 Titanium Bolts.

- Omega Arsenal: Upgrade all weapons to their Omega versions (Challenge Mode
  only).

- Nano Finder: Obtain a maximum Nanotech level of 200 (Challenge Mode only).

==================
Character Trophies
==================

- Ratchet: As you traverse the jungle paths of Florana, you should eventually
come to an area where you have to wall jump back and forth until you reach
the next area. Do this, then when you reach a ladder, hop back across the gap
and over to the clearing on the other side. Follow the ledge around to the
  left to obtain the trophy.

- Al: This trophy is located on Tyhrranosis. To get it, you must first hop in
the assault vehicle and drive over to the upper right corner of the area.
Once there, hop out of the vehicle and proceed along the path until you come
to a pair of tall rock "towers" if you will. Destroy the enemies perched on
top of these, then high jump up up onto the tower closest to the water via
the small rock located at its base. The trophy is here.

- The Plumber: From the room where you obtained the Charge Boots on Planet
Daxx (behind you at the starting point), look out towards your ship, and you
should see a small balcony of sorts to the right of the archway. Hop onto
this "balcony" and snag the trophy.

- Clank: Before you go after this trophy in Holostar Studios, you must first
have the Heli-Pack or Thruster Pack, so play through the level once in order
to regain Clank as your backpack. Next, head over to the small elevator that
was accessed by use of the Hacker. Ride the elevator to the top, then high
jump up to the ledge above, where the Clank trophy is located.

- Skrunch: First, head on over to Planet Kerwan. Once there, proceed through
the first large room and cross the curved bridge over to the other side.
Next, hop up onto the ledge, turn right, and hop up onto the ledge here.
Break the window and grab the trophy here.

- Dr. Nefarious: First, head over to the Crash Site on Zeldrin. Head straight
down the main path at the start, then when you reach a curve in the path, you
should notice a ledge over to the right where a couple of enemies were
stationed earlier. Hop up there to grab the trophy.

- Captain Qwark: In Qwark's Hideout, just before his private bedroom, the path
you were travelling on turns into an intersection of sorts. Turn left and
enter the small room located on the left side of the path. The trophy is in
  here.

- Courtney Gears: First, head on over to Planet Koros. Once there, travel along
the path, disposing of enemies along the way, until you reach a dead end and
a "staircase" of stacked crates on your right. Climb up the crates, and you
should notice two buildings on both sides of you. Enter the one on the left
  for the trophy.

- Lawrence: On Mylon, when you reach a Hacker puzzle, backtrack a littleways
until you reach a small, destructible barrier. Adjacent to the barrier is a
ladder. Climb it, and you should be able to spot the Lawrence trophy at the
  top.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-= 10. Skill Point Locations =-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Below you will find an in-depth look at all of the Skill Points you can achieve
throughout the game. They're listed in chronological order, meaning in the
order you visit each planet throughout the game.

=====================
Standard Skill Points
=====================

Nabla Forest, Florana
---------------------

- Stay Squeaky Clean: Successfully complete the Path of Death without taking
a single ounce of damage from any one of the course's obstacles.

Starship Phoenix
----------------

- Strive for Arcade Perfection: Earn 100% completion of all Qwark vid-comics.
In order to do this, you must collect all Qwark tokens scattered throughout
each level as well as all health power-ups you come across.

- Beat Helga's Best Time: Complete the VR Hypershot training course in under
50 seconds. Although this may seem hard, all you have to do is practice
until you know the course inside and out. This will help you plan ahead while
running through it, thus saving you some time in between obstacles.

- Turn Up the Heat: Purchase the Infernox Armor after successfully completing
the game. Take a look at the "Armor" section of this guide to check out its
stats, as well as its price.

- Monkeying Around: Hit Skrunch (the monkey) with your wrench while onboard the
the Phoenix. Again, this may seem tough, but all it takes is a little
practice, and you should be able to hit him with no problem at all.

Capital City, Marcadia
----------------------

- Reflect on How to Score: Simply kill 25 enemies with the Refractor. Please
keep in mind that after you visit Planet Kerwan, the Tyhrranoids on all
planets will have become much stronger, thus making this Skill Point almost
  impossible to achieve.

Annihilation Nation
-------------------

- Bash the Bug: Beat Scorpio using only the wrench. To do this, simply avoid
Scorpio's sawblades and dash in close to him in between attacks, hitting him
with your wrench. If you stay close to him throughout the battle, he will
keep trying to back away from you, thus rendering him unable to attack.

- Be an Eight Time Champ: Successfully complete all eight of the Gauntlet
  challenges.

- Flee Flawlessly: Complete a Gauntlet challenge without taking a single hit.
Please keep in mind that this Skill Point can be achieved during any Gauntlet
  challenge.

- Lights, Camera, Action!: Destroy 5 floating cameras that hover around you
  during any Gauntlet challenge.

Deep Sea Hideout, Aquatos
-------------------------

- Search for Sunken Treasure: Blow up 40 underwater crates. To do this, simply
bump into every explosive crate you come across during BOTH swimming portions
  of the level.

- Hit the Motherload: Collect all of the Sewer Crystals. To make this easier
for yourself, wait until you obtain the Map-O-Matic, as it will show you the
locations of all the crystals located throughout the sewer!

Korgon Base, Tyhrranosis
------------------------

- Be a Sharpshooter: Simply snipe 10 of the Tyhrranoids you see stationed
inside the towers strewn about the level.

Research Facility, Daxx
-----------------------

- Bugs to Birds: Turn 15 Floranian Blood Flies into ducks using the
  Qwack-O-Ray.

Obani Gemini, The Zygan System
------------------------------

- Get to the Belt: Get onto the floating asteroid ring. To do this, simply
navigate your way through the level and proceed to the highest platform you
can find. From here, you should be able to use the jump pads provided for
you in order to reach the asteroid belt.

Blackwater City, Rilgar
-----------------------

- Bash the Party: Dispose of 20 enemies using only the wrench. Surprisingly
enough, this Skill Point is rather easy to achieve just as long as you know
  how to dodge enemy attacks.

Lot 42, Holostar Studios
------------------------

- Feeling Lucky?: Win the jackpot on a slot machine. As you may have already
guessed, this Skill Point is based entirely on luck, so just take your time
and try not to destroy ALL of the slot machines for obvious reasons.

Metropolis, Kerwan
------------------

- 2002 Was a Good Year in the City: Destroy the blimp you see flying around the
city. This Skill Point's incredibly easy to achieve as long as you have the
Flux Rifle in your arsenal (which you should).

Crash Site, Zeldrin
-------------------

- Suck It Up!: Kill 40 enemies using only the Suck Cannon. Before you attempt
to achieve this Skill Point, I recommend you upgrade the Suck Cannon to at
least V4 or its final version, as it's way too weak otherwise.

- Aim High: Kill 10 Skreeducks (the flying creatures). To do this, simply whip
out your Flux Rifle and pick them off, one by one.

Outpost X12, Aridia
-------------------

- Zap Back at Ya: Kill 10 enemies with the Refractor. Surprisingly enough, you
can use the giant robots' laser beams as weapons! Simply focus their beams
on the smaller Tyhrranoids, as they're the easiest to kill.

- Go for Hang Time: Get 2 seconds of air with the Turbo Slider. Simply build up
some speed and air off any ramp-like surface (i.e. the giant dirt jump).

Qwark's Hideout, Thran Asteroid Belt
------------------------------------

- Break the Dan: The Dan is a snowman. As the title states, you must break him,
however Dan is a tad bit hard to find. To avoid frustration, I recommend
obtaining the Map-O-Matic first, then use it when you reach the first sweep
laser you come across during the level. After defeating the whorde of Qwark
bots that ambush you, head right and wall jump up the small crevace until
you reach the next area. Once there, destroy the Dan to achieve the Skill
  Point!

Nefarious BFG, Koros
--------------------

- You Break It, You Win It: Smash up the robot base. To do this, just smash all
things that look relatively close to a part of an enemy base by utilizing the
  Overhead Smash (wrench attack).

Command Center, Mylon
---------------------

- Spread Your Germs: Infect 30 enemies with the Infector. Before you attempt
this, I strongly suggest you upgrade the Infector to its final version,
the Infecto-Bomb, as it's pretty much impossible to do so otherwise.

======================
Vid-Comic Skill Points
======================

Episode 1: Pirate Booty!
------------------------

- Set a New Record for Qwark: Beat a time of 2:40 in vid-comic 1. This isn't
too hard, just speed through the level without falling and/or dying. Yes, I
know that's just stating the obvious, but it definitely helps!

Episode 2: Arriba Amoeba
------------------------

- Set a New Record for Qwark: Beat a time of 2:10 in vid-comic 2. Again, try
not to mess up while jumping from platform to platform, as well as keeping
a majority of your health bar intact.

Episode 3: Shadow of the Robot
------------------------------

- Set a New Record for Qwark: Beat a time of 1:50 in vid-comic 3. Unlike the
previous two vid-comic Skill Points, this one's all about just staying alive
in general. To do so, simply keep moving and try not to spend too much time
disposing of every single enemy you come across.

Episode 4: Deja Q All Over Again
--------------------------------

- Set a New Record for Qwark: Beat a time of 4:45 in vid-comic 4. A great trick
that can shave quite a few seconds off of your time, is to fall off of the
path after you reach the second "Q" block just past the first zipline. You
should drop down to where the third zipline is supposed to take you, thus
saving you a ton of time.

Episode 5: The Shaming of the Q
-------------------------------

- Set a New Record for Qwark: Beat a time of 2:00 in vid-comic 5. Sadly enough,
I haven't been able to find any tricks that can help you achieve this Skill
Point easily, with the exception of simply staying alive.
