Secrets Revealed 6. Version History 7. Credits ---------- 1. Author's Note ---------- Hello and welcome to my walkthrough! I won't say anything much about this good game so let's get rolling, shall we? ---------- 2. Legal Blipwah ---------- So far there are scums (like you for instance...) are trying to steal our work and showing it off in their sites/forums WITHOUT OUR NOTICE/PERMISSION. That's total bull and of course the most common to all writers, plagarism. By doing this kind of illegal stuff, we will remove this guide WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. Oh yeah, Copy and Paste doesn't save your butt either since we can recognize our format of typing and we do go on a Google/Yahoo searching if ever some scums plan to steal this and our other works as well. If you want to live much longer, be a good boy/girl and don't steal this! It's bad. ---------- 3. What is "Ougon Kishi GARO"? ---------- "Where there is light, shadows lurk and fear reigns... yet by the blade of Knights, mankind was given hope..." - Ward Sexton Ougon Kishi GARO (or Golden Knight GARO) is a Japanese Tokusatsu live-action series. This was aired on TV Tokyo as a Hyper Midnight Action Drama (not suitable for the younger ones since it has graphical violence, blood, nudity and any other mature themes) and has 25 Episodes including the "Overview" which summarizes Episodes 1-13. There's also a special movie called "Byakuya no Majyuu" (or Beast of the White Night) on DVD (2 parts, spawning 50 minutes per part) which occurs after the events on the previous GARO. This game has 2 editions. The Normal Edition and the Limited Edition. The Limited Edition is the same as the Normal ones (which has standard pamphlets but it's in a box which contains a non-metal Madoubi Zaruba ring (which is awesome IMO). The theme song of it? Awesome so as the Opening Clip. ---------- 4. Walkthrough ---------- -GARO Mode (Kouga Arc)- In this mode, you play as Saejima Kouga, the protagonist of the GARO Series along with Zaruba, the talking ring. Here are the basic controls in GARO Mode. Directional Pad- Changes lock-on target Analog Stick- moves Kouga [] Button- Weak Attack X Button- Strong Attack O Button- Jump/Aerial Recovery (twice to Air Dash) /\ Button- Amplify energy (to increase the time) then once the timer is at 99.9, press again to transform and you can transform in the air also. Can peform a Special Attack when in GARO/ZERO Mode. Hold R1 Button- Defend L1 Button- Lock-on Target About GARO/ZERO Mode. Once transformed, you have 99.9 seconds of duration. You will receive damage though it won't affect Kouga's/Rei's lifebar (Kouga's gold while Rei's cobalt). Once 99.9 seconds are up or recieved enough damage (the timer will stop on the last damage you took), they'll revert back. You can increase time by defeating Horrors and racking up chain combos. My tip is, defeat a couple of enemies then once the gauge on the upper right of the screen is full press /\. Everytime you clear a stage, 10.0 seconds are added to Kouga's transformation time. Depending on the difficulty you played on GARO Mode (Kouga/Rei)/Ankokuu Kishi Mode, you have different quantity of the SA's, 5 on Easy, 3 on Normal and none for Hard (though you get one by countering them, just look for the red frame while locking-on then quickly hit []). The maximum SA you can only stock up is 36. Simple? Let's start! ----- Chapter 1 (Episode 1) ----- This stage is cleary simple. After the first batch, the next batch (red versions) will pop out so transform into GARO/ZERO and finish them all. ----- Chapter 2 (Episode 2) ----- Same as Chapter 1, then after a couple of battles, meet the bitch from Episode 2 (Ishutarb) so start killing her minions first if you don't have insufficient time from your transformation but be careful after transforming, she'll be hitting you hard turning your ass back to normal so as countering. Use cars as your shield in case she'll hit you. ----- Chapter 3 (Episode 5) ----- Defeat the Horrors that pops up then after that, a sexy horror from Episode 6 greets you (Lunarken), she'll spike you in air then throws more balls at you. Do the same: bounce her also, repeat and there! ----- Chapter 4 (Episode 7) ----- You'll be at GARO/ZERO Mode (depending on what time you consumed at Chapter 3 here while sliding along the building and meet ZERO (Rei Suzumura) if you're playing as GARO or GARO (Saejima Kouga) if playing as ZERO so start whacking right away. You'll be screwed if GARO/ZERO hits you enough, causing you to revert back to Kouga/Rei so if that happens start defending and keep yourdistance at him but if you saved some Special Attacks on GARO/ZERO Mode, don't hesistate to use as GARO/ZERO will use one also to you. Zaruba/Silva will detect 4 Gates, choosing upon which you prefer. I'll be doing this in order (Chapter 5,6,7 and 8 respectively). ----- Chapter 5 (Episode 8) ----- Horrors will appear at front, defeat them but be careful at the train that runs as it'll hit neither you or the horrors. Meet the two-faced Horror (Moloch), he's a cheap horror since it loves to throw its gauntlets at you causing to grab and hit you. Try luring the two-faced horror on the rail and when the train comes, jump ahead! ----- Chapter 6 (Episode 9) ----- You'll be at GARO/ZERO Mode again like on Chapter 4 and meet Humpty (Dumpty? LOL) and this horror has an insane defense (watch out for it's SA also...) so abuse all of your Special Attacks that you have (If you have one....). Once Humpty's life is low, it'll try to screw attack you in a couple of hits causing you to turn back to human form so kill it as fast as you can! ----- Chapter 7 (Episode 11) ----- You'll be ganged up by the Red Horrors here so kill them then after that, Dantarion will appear but be careful as it'll counter your attacks then throws coins at you (yes, coins...Storm Waltz anybody?) or combos you to death, so hit then go away. ----- Chapter 8 (Episode 15) ----- A bunch of new Horrors will appear behind you, turn around and whack at them then you'll face Gargoyle here but he's fairly easy but watch out on it's SA (2- 3 hits and your dead even on GARO/ZERO Mode) so transform into GARO/ZERO and abuse anything you have, there! ----- Chapter 9 ----- Face to the front to meet up with Kodama the silent butler, this guy ain't no pushover as he'll hit you to death then SA's you up but recovers health if you got hit on his SA. Start transforming once your timer is at max then hit him with all you got, you can also hit the Madoubi pole at the lower right so as the one on the upper left but nothing will happen. ----- Chapter 10 (Episode 22) ----- Uhhhh.....face off three huge Horrors, twice as your size but be careful though, they'll tackle you, so kill it then meet Ankokuu Kishi KIBA. Be careful while on GARO/ZERO Mode, KIBA will not hesitate use his Special Attack causing you to revert back to Kouga/Rei (yes, it's a one-hit...). Use hit-and-run tactics to kill this guy off. And take note that KIBA will using your current KIBA file on Ankokuu Kishi Mode while battling. Sit back relax and enjoy the credit rolls! -GARO Mode (Rei Arc)- In this mode, you'll be playing an another Makai Kishi, a dual-sword wielder with fetishes on sweets named Rei Suzumura (aka Ginga Kishi ZERO) along with Silva, a sexy-talking necklace. Same stages, bosses (except on Chapter 4) and though Rei is weak on offense, he can dish out more hits than Kouga. Everytime he clears a stage, 5.0 seconds are added (not unlike Kouga's which is 10.0). -Ankokuu Kishi Mode- In this mode, you'll be playing as Ryuuzaki Karute aka Ankokuu Kishi KIBA, the Psychiatrist of Ryuuzaki Mental Therapy. There's a Skill Edit mode where you can customize any of the three KIBA's skill attacks that can be used on Versus Mode or you can use the Boss' skill you just absorbed by doing a Skill Drain on them (while locking-on, wait for the opponent to attack and quickly press [] when you see it). Similar to Boss Rush Mode, there's no time limit while on this mode (though he has a life bar instead). There are excatly 80 Skills (8 at start, 72 to unlock) you can get on all of the Boss (7 Slots and 1 Special Attack). These are the following Boss that you can Skill Drain: - Ishutarb - Lunarken - Ginga Kishi ZERO (Rei Suzumura) - Moloch - Humpty - Dantarion - Gargoyle - Kodama - Ougon Kishi GARO (Saejima Taiga) Whenever you lose at this mode, Karute will give you hints. -500-year One time Disaster Mode- A mini-game while GARO riding Gouten while wielding his kick-ass Garouzantou. More like of a "one-shot bet" since you're betting your current points here; "right minus wrong" since you're sharing one combo meter with the Horrors here so when you rack more combos then the enemies hit you, they deduct more points. -Versus Mode- One-on-one match between you and the CPU/your friend. If you just started this game, you can only choose at GARO (Kouga), Lunarken, Ishutarb and Moloch. You can unlock other characters on GARO Mode (Kouga/Rei), Ankokuu Kishi Mode or spend points in Gallery Mode. Here are the list of the following characters you can play as: - Ougon Kishi GARO (Saejima Kouga) - Saejima Kouga - Ishutarb - Lunarken - Ginga Kishi ZERO (Rei Suzumura) - Rei Suzumura - Humpty - Moloch - Dantarion - Gargoyle - Kodama - Ougon Kishi GARO (Saejima Taiga) - Shinmetsu Jyuushin GARO - KIBA 1,2 and 3 (Barago) ---------- 5. Secrets Revealed ---------- Extra Gallery - Unlock 100 Pictures on Gallery Mode Ankokuu Kishi Mode and KIBA on Versus Mode - Beat the game once Ginga Kishi ZERO on GARO Mode - Unlock 50 Pictures on Gallery Mode 500-year One time Disaster Mode - Beat GARO Mode as Rei Suzumura Kouga Saejima on VS Mode - Unlock his specific pictures (1-25) on Gallery Mode Rei Suzumura on VS Mode - Unlock his specific pictures (41-60) on Gallery Mode Ougon Kishi GARO (Saejima Taiga) on VS Mode - Extract all 72 Skills on Ankokuu Kishi Mode Shinmetsu Jyuushin GARO on VS Mode - Complete Gallery Mode Barago on VS Mode - Highlight any of the three KIBAs and hold R1 ---------- 6.
