Frequently Asked Questions ------------------------------------------------------------------ ~Version Update~ 1.0 - Guide is posted. 1.1 - I just had to change a VERY small mistake. 1.2 - I added a new hint to the Hint Section. 1.3 - Corrected one of my mistakes and I added a new section; Frequently Asked Questions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. ~Intro~ Hi everyone and welcome to my first walkthrough written. I do not mind if you want to copy this walkthrough and post it somewhere else but if you do, it would be nice if you gave me some credit. However, if you post my walkthrough somewhere else I request that you email me saying that you have. I hope that you find this guide helpfull. You might notice I write SP and SC sometimes. That stands for Street Points and Street Challenge. 2. ~Contact Info.~ If you are having any problems with my walkthrough, feel free to email me at [email protected] Also, if you find anything wrong with my guide please email me as soon as you can so I can fix it. If you feel that you will just be talking trash while you are reading this guide, just dont read it. Its that simple. Moving on. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. ~Basic and Advanced Controls~ Lets start with the "basic" controls. These are the controls you will be using most often. Basic Offense- L1, L2, R1, R2 = Turbo Square = Trick Moves Triangle = Not used in offense Circle = Shoot/Dunk/Lay-Up X = Pass Right Analog Stick = Trick Stick Left Analog Stick = Move player Arrows = Move Player Start = Pause Defense- L1, L2, R1, R2 = Same Square = Steal Triangle = Block/Rebound Circle = Not used in defense X = Switch Player Right Analog Stick = Not used in defense Left Analog Stick = Move player Arrows = Move Player Start = Pause Now lets go on to the "advanced" controls. These I call "advanced" because to some people they are harder to remember and you also dont use these controls as often as the basic ones. Advanced Gamebreaker Shot - O + 2 Turbos Trick Counter - Square + 2 Turbos ------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. ~Game Modes~ a. Game On-Game On is a basic 3-3 game. In this mode you can only choose your team. The 3 best players AND court are picked randomly. b. Pick Up-Pick Up is similar to Game On. The only thing different is here you get to choose your favorite players and your favorite court. c. Street Challenge-In this mode you get to Play different teams and build up your Rep. But before you start you must create your own Baller to be the captain of your team and you must create a Court so you can host games in your "hood". As you proceed with the game you get SP (Street Points) which you can then use to upgrade your ballers skills (see 7e)and upgrade your court as well (see 7a). *After winning a game in this mode you can pick a baller from the opposing team and add them to yours. If you already have five people on your team, you must replace one of the players on your team with the person from the opposite team. d. Dunk Contest-The Dunk Contest is a mode where you get to choose your favorite dunker and show your moves and you better do some good moves because you get judged. In this mode you can do freeball pass and do mid-air tricks. Here are I think about all the freeball passes. Pressing X will bounce the ball behind your back. Pressing X + L1 will bounce the ball behind the back and through the legs. Pressing X + R1 will toss the ball behind the back, then hit it with your elbow behind the back. Pressing X and clicking the Left hit will lob the ball. Pressing X + L1 + R1 will place the ball on the floor and kick it. Pressing X + L1 and hitting the Left Analog stick will bounce the ball off your knee. Pressing X + R1 and hitting the Left Analog stick will bounce the ball and kick it behind the back. Pressing X + L1 + R1 and hitting the Left Analog stick will toss the ball up and kick it with the inside of your foot. This was sent in by one of my friends named Josh. f.Practice-You know what they say; Practice makes Perfect. So this mode is for you to practice and become a skilled player at NBA Street V3. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. ~Playing Online~ Now you can play NBA Street online. You can play against anyone that is online while you are. To be able to play online you will need to select a Network Configuration file and create an EA Account. After you log on, create a Persona (it is supposed to be spelled that way). To talk with your opponent you will need to have a USB Headset. If you have a USB Headset plugged into your console and you cannot talk to the opponent your opponent might not have a USB Headset plugged into their console or you and your opponent might low connection to each other. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 6. ~Create A Baller~ Here you can build your own baller. This baller can also be used in Street Challenge and the Dunk contest. If you want to use your baller in Pick Up mode you must create a team and put your baller on the team. Here is the team I reccomend you creating. Your own Baller (if he has good skills) if not then Bonafide (Street Legend) Stretch (One of the Street Legends) Takashi (Also one of the Street Legends) Biggie Littles (Another Street Legend) Kobe Bryant (Lakers player) ------------------------------------------------------------------ 7. ~Customization~ a. Court Creator-Here you can create and customize your own court. In Street Challenge mode, your customized court is your homecourt. You can use your SP to add new stuff to your homecourt. b. Shoe Creator-This place is the "Shoe Shop". You pick your favorite shoe and customize it however you want. You can have up to 10 pairs of shoes. c. V3 Store-This is the place where you can add new shoes, jersies tattoos, and other accesories. d. Save Wardrobe-Save your outfit that you have created for your baller here. e. Buy/Edit Skills-This is the place I suggest spending most of your SP at. This is where you can upgrade your baller's skills. I suggest that this is the best place to spend SP Points because the way your baller handles or dunks or whatever is based on his attributes. So if he has low handle, he wont be able to do 4 turbo moves as well. f. Trick Book-Here you can rename tricks you have unlocked with a name of your own. You can also customize what tricks your baller can use. g. Barber Shop-If you dont like your ballers hair or facial hair this is the place to come and fix your guys problem. h. Create Team-You must create a team before you go playing in Street Challenge. Add your favorite NBA All-Stars or NBA Legends to your team. If you have a created baller you can put him on this team. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 8. ~Rewards~ Here is where you can unlock Legends and Courts if you are so eager to get these stuff. But....They do cost if you want to buy them. a. Street Legends Here are the list of Street Legends and how much they cost. You can get these Legends in Street Challenge mode instead of buying them. You can unlock all of these Legends in SC. For 2 of the Street Legends I did not write down their cost down while I was playing the game so I just wrote Unlock in SC. Street Legends - Costs -------------------------------- Beastie Boys - 500 SP Biggie Littles - Unlock in SC Dime - Unlock in SC Takashi - 2000 SP Phat - 2500 SP Bonafide - 3000 SP Stretch - 4000 SP b. Courts Here are a list of all the courts. If you see that I write D/N sometimes, it means you can choose it as Day or Night. I suggest that you dont buy these courts from the Rewards section because in SC (Street Challenge) as your Rep. goes up you unlock new courts. Courts -------------------------------- Your Homecourt (if you have one) The Hawk Foss Park Tandy The Hawk The Cage The Dome MacGregor Park Brighton Beach Venice Beach D/N Gun Hill D/N Dyckman D/N Mosswood D/N Rucker Park D/N c. Dunk Contest Trophies Here are the list of all the Dunk Contest Trophies you can win in SC. Note that these cannot be bought you have to beat the Dunk Contest in SC that is named after the Trophies. Also the only trphies you can get are Dunk Contest Trophies. Torphies -------------------------------- Future Of Flight RBK Challenge New York Legendary Status History Lesson Part 1 History Lesson Part 2 d. Other You can also unlock NBA Legends in here by buying them as well. Also, you can check High Scores here as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 9. ~Hints~ Here are a couple of hints that you might find usefull. SC Bonus- When you beat Street Challenge (SC), you get 50,000 SP. Easy 5,000 SP- Create a new baller (since this event decreases Rep. points), and go into SC. When you get there just skip everyday until your done. Instead of getting 50,000 SP, you get only 5,000 SP. This hint was given to me by one of my friends; Josh, who lives in LA. Unlock Everything To unlock all of the Street Legends, NBA Legends, get all the V3 Store gear and courts, complete the 10 weeks in Street Challenge. Easy Biggie Littles To do Biggie Littles easily just press all 4 turbos and move the Trick Stick up. This was also sent in by Josh. Easy Off The Heezay Press 2 turbos and X while facing your opponent to do an easy Off The Heezay. Back 2 Papa To do a Back 2 Papa, hit 2 turbos and X while facing the basket. More Gamebreaker Points When you have a Gamebreaker, go in for the dunk. Once you jump hold all 4 Turbos and move the Trick Stick in different directions. Keep doing this till someone jumps on top of than pass it.(If no one jumps then you are so screwed so make sure they are down court before you dunk.) Now do the same process as you did before. Now pass it again. Now with this guy dont do that many moves because now you gotta dunk but you might be able to a couple moves but not that much. Once your dunk is over you should get somewhere around 300,000 points. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 10. ~Regards~ *Thanks to Gamerhelp.com for posting this walkthrough so more people can see it. *Thanks to Supercheats.com for posting this walkthrough so more people can see it. *Thanks to my friend Josh for giving me some hints for my Hints section. *Thanks to the people that corrected some of my answers. *Thanks to you guys for reading this walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------ 11. ~Frequently Asked Questions~ Q.
