Experience Rate System You gain experience points as you complete missions and destroy enemy MS. The total points you gain after a mission is proportional to the difficulty of the mission and your team�s performance, i.e. the total number of enemies defeated (by your team), the total damage done and received (by you), and etc. Each point of damage done and received (by you): Multiplied by 10 E.g. If you do a total of 1500 damage to enemies and take 350 damage in a mission, you get 11500 damage points afterwards (1500 x 10 � 350 x 10). Each enemy MS/MA destroyed (by your team): MS/MA Cost x 5 E.g. If your team defeats a Freedom and an M1 Astray in a mission, you get 4150 MS points afterwards (560 x 5 + 270 x 5). The actual EXP points your manually controlled character gains is affected by the size of your team, as follows: Without CPU teammates: 100% With 1 CPU teammate: You � 50% CPU � 100% With 2 CPU teammates: You � 25% CPU � 50% each With 3 CPU teammates: You � 12.5% CPU � 25% each This explains why your CPU teammates seem to level up much faster than you do. For missions where all your characters are manually controlled (e.g. �Kira Yamato�), the experience points are distributed as follows: 1 character: 200% 2 characters: 100% each 3 characters: 66.67% each 4 characters: 50% each The actual EXP points gained by any character are also affected by bonuses and penalties, as follows: a. Bonus by MS: Multiplied by the EXP rate of the MS. E.g. You pilot the Force Impulse (x1.1) Your CPU teammate 1 pilots the M1 Astray (x2.5) Your CPU teammate 2 pilots the Strike Freedom (x1) Your team gains 50000 points at the end of a mission, AND each team member�s (first) MS survived until the end of the mission. The EXP points are distributed as follows: You gain 13750 points (50000 x 0.25 x 1.1) CPU 1 gains 62500 points (50000 x 0.5 x 2.5) CPU 2 gains 25000 points (50000 x 0.5 x 1) b. Penalty by defeat: The EXP points gained by any character are halved each time they lose an MS. Note that this only applies to some missions, as in others, you fail if your MS is destroyed. Also, in most missions, your CPU teammate won�t respawn after their first MS is destroyed; instead, you might get reinforcement from other friendly characters in their default or mission-preset MS, however, they don�t gain any EXP points after the mission (the EXP points still go to your initial CPU teammate).
