Kessen III Battlefield Items Guide

Version 1.0

Written by s20mike, [email protected]

Legal Disclaimer:

This is an original work by myself, s20mike, derived from my second
playthrough of Kessen 3, and the hours of exploration and notetaking
required to locate the games battlefield items.

As such, you may not copy or redistrubute this work,or claim it to
be of your own writing. I'm sure you wouldn't want to anyway.

This FAQ is intended for personal use only, and may not be used in
any other manner, specifically, but not exclusively, to gain profit.

This FAQ is intended for GAMEFAQS.COM only.

Version History:

Version 1.0 (07/03/2007) - First complete Version

Introduction:

In every battle throughout Kessen 3, Minor, Major and Decisive, there
are items contained in glowing red treasure chests located on the
battlefield, or sometimes hidden in Camps, Bow Towers, or enemy
Generals. Every battle has at least one item, some have three or
more.

These items are essential for completing the Battle Scrolls data
for Kessen, as some of them are one-offs, and some are just plain
handy to have.

The biggest problem, naturally, is finding them. Battlefields are
large, and treasure chests are small, and you just never know where
the hidden ones might be, like in which Bow Tower, etc.

Add to this that you are trying to survive every battle, and maybe
most importantly, complete it quickly to get an 'S' Rank, spending
ages finding an item can get very stressful and frustrating.

This guide will hopefully take you directly to every item on any
battlefield, and allow you get on with your killing, and get that 'S'!

Structure:

The following list is comprised of the Battle Name, the item location,
and the item description (except a few where I forgot to write it down).
The Battles are listed in chronological order. In other words, it starts
with Chapter 1, and ends with the Final Chapter.

I will be using a few common terms I hope you can grasp, and compass
directions that everyone should know.

Every map is a box basically, so when I say "Northeast corner" I mean
go to the top left of the map, as far as you can go. A LOT of items are
in the map corners.

When I say "Western Extreme" or "Extreme South" I mean more or less in
the middle part of the South, i.e. not in the corners.

When I use the word "Niche" I mean one of those little nooks, crannies
or holes that litter the paths your troops use.

When I say "Corridor" I mean one of the long, dead ends that many battles
have.

Easy. Lets go.

--------------------Last Words------------------------------------------

I am classing this as a complete version because it simply seems that
there are no items to be found in the last few battles. If I am wrong I
will make corrections as soon as possible, and if anyone can help then
credit will be given where due.

I hope anyone who has read this far has found this information useful -
now you can decide if you need an item, if it is worth getting, and the
quickest possible way to collect it and keep your time points high. I
know on my next playthrough, I'll be keeping a print of this by my side
the whole way through.

All the best, and enjoy another one of Koei's fantastic games!
