Introduction (PRT2) :

Hello, I'm Sonickrazy! If you've read my Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's
Revenge FAQ, you'll know that I'm really an amature FAQ creator. However,
during this FAQ, I'm putting my entire heart and soul into making the best FAQ
I've ever written! Okay, enough small talk. Let's explain how to use this FAQ.

The Walkthrough is divided into several different sections. Each level gets a
section, and each area within the level gets a section, and upon that, each
area is split up into three different sections. Confusing? Not really. It just
needs to be explained a bit. The first section is the name:

The second section is the more powerful monsters that can kill you easily if
you're not careful and how to beat them.

Notable Monsters: Shadow Android. The Shadow Android is weak against water, so
use a lot of water spells to short him out. Make sure to cancel his "Thunder
Blast" Attack, or it will spell disaster.

The third and final section is simply where the treasure locations are, or if
it's a town, what you have to do and where the shops are.

Start by getting the treasure chest on the left of where you start. The rest of
the treasure chests are practically unmissable, so I won't list them.

Also, I've put in a code system, so if you want to go to a certain place in the
FAQ, just press Ctrl + F and enter the code next to the name in the Table of
Contents.

Basic Tips (PRT4) :

Avoiding Enemies:

There are times when you just want to get to the next place without wasting
time fighting, like when you are close to out of HP and you don't have any
recovery items. Here are some tips for those special occasions.

Slow Enemies:

For these guys, like the Gilled Pawn, you'll want to just run for it, without
stunning them.

Fast Enemies:

For these guys, like the Aton Delta, you'll want to stun them right before
they get to you, then run for it.

Flying Enemies:

For most of these guys, like the Venom Bird, they stay far way from you, then
charge in like a hawk, attempting to kill you. They're pretty hard not to a-
void, so don't worry. Just run.

Fast ways to gain experience points:

Trick 1: The Desert Lord

In Baccula Desert: West, there is a level 40 monster who wanders near the
bottom of the map. He is really, really hard if you don't have level 25 Party
members, so try avoiding him until you can defeat him. He respawns just like
normal monsters, so you can fight him as many times as you want.

Trick 2: The Golems

In Baccula Ruins: Earth Shrine, There are eight Golems that only appear once,
but give the same exp. as the Desert Lord. Use them to get a ton of exp. when
you have the chance.

Notable Monsters: None.

After the many, many cutscenes that take place, exit the garage and take note
of the map in the upper-left corner of the screen. You are the arrow. The ye-
llow squares are the buildings. The green fan-shaped thing in front of you is
what you see on the screen. Now, run down the left side of the map until you
get to a building. This is the Magic Shop. Continue downward until you arrive
at another building. This is your house. Enter. Now, before you get the flight
unit, head to the right of the screen. Examine everything here until you get a
Healing Herb. These recover 300 HP each, so make sure to save it until you
need it. Now, head over to the left side of the house, into the kitchen. Ex-
amine the cupboard to get the Flight Unit! Now, head back up the hill to the
garage and talk to Rotts, then tell him you're ready to fly.

Anfog Woods|

Notable Monsters: None.

Upon arrival at the woods, you will take part in a tutorial about attacks and
magic. Do what she says to do, then continue down the road to go into a tuto-
rial about opening chests. Open the chest when prompted and continue on. In the
next open area, head to an "aclove" of sorts to the left to find a Flare Egg.
Continue, fighting the Dragonfly Toads on the way, until you arrive back at
Anfog Village.

Notable Monsters: None.

After the cutscene, head to the Garage and grab the Medicinal Herb from the
back table and run back to the house. Give the Herbs to Alfina and head back
outside after saving. You will fight Kornell as a Tutorial on Cancel attacks,
but he will run away after five critical attacks. Now, head to the Magic Shop
and buy Diggin' for Alfina, and 2 Howls for Yuki and Alfina. Head to where you
faught Kornell and buy the Life Up Ability from Old Andre. If you have more mo-
ney, spend the rest on Healing Herbs and Revival Potions at the General Store
near Old Andre. Make sure to set up your spells at a save point before you tell
Miranda that you're ready to go.

Anfog Woods: Beast Path|

Notable Monsters: Gilled Pawn. Make sure to cancel his Time Bomb attack.

In the right aclove close to where you start, you will find a Wind Egg. Con-
tinue down the path, and turn right twice at your first opportunity to find a
First Ring. Keep going along the beaten path, and go left at the next fork.
You will find a Holy Water in a chest. Head onward, and jump over the stream.
Turn right on the other side to find a Soldier Book and a Regular Save Point.
Continue along the obvious route.

After a cut scene and the first dinner conversation of the game, you can use
the nearby save point and try to exit, but be blocked by...

Start by using Tremor and Howl on the Henchmen, then |
having Alfina use Diggin' to protect the party. Then |
have Miranda use Tremor while Yuki starts canceling .|
Kornell's attacks and Alfina starts working on any HP|

dead, have the party work on the Iron Fist, then . . |
Finish off the battle with a Tremor Spell, a Burn! . |
spell, and a Comet Spike attack. If Kornell is still |
alive, keep using Combo attacks to defeat him quick- |

After the battle, Recover and Save once more and head out to Anfog Woods:

Notable Monsters: Gilled General. Cancel his Grand Slam Attack immediately.

Head along the required path until you arrive at a point where you can choose
to go left or straight. Go left to find a Staff of Prayer. Head back and con-
tinue. You will come across a Stone Egg on your way. Continue. Jump across the
next gap, and on the other side you will find a ladder. Climb up it to find a
Hunter's Jacket and a Regular Save Point. Continue along the regular path and
immediately search the area using [] once you get to the Storm Stone. Go to the
next blue area and find a Protective Charm in the Chest. Continue onto your
next level: Sabatar.

Sabatar (D1b)

Notable Monsters: None.

Head up to the Pier and a cutscene will commence, and as a result, Alonso will
join your party! Go to the Top Right aclove of the map after the cutscene to
find a Speed Seed. Head to the exit and Save.

Sabatar Beach|

Notable Monsters: None.

This area is simply riddled with monsters! At the first fork in the road, turn
right to find the Hunter's Knife. Head back to the fork and turn left. Along
the next path, you can find the Ranger Book to the right and the Soldier Book
near the regular save point. When you run into two Zoeas and two Tortogaters,
defeat them and turn right to find more monsters and a Frost Egg. In the a-
clove to the right of the Zoeas and Tortogaters, you will find Alonso's Admiral
Boots. Continue down the map and in the next aclove you will find a Bomb Egg.
The next aclove near the exit holds a Cure Herb. Now, continue through the exit
to Sabatar Harbor.

Notable Monsters: None.

If you haven't gotten this far in the game yet, I reccomend you skip the next
paragraph for storyline purposes: Alonso will take Alfina's broach and run into
the Casino, so follow him. Inside, he will bet the broach against the Casino
Leader, Bianca, but then lose. However, he's not done yet. He promises his hand
in marriage to her if she wins. If she loses, however, she has to give him the
key to his boat, a ton of money, some weaponry, and, yes, Alfina's Broach. She
is shocked to hear this, but she gladly accepts, sure of her victory. Head to
Alonso's Boat, at the top of the map, and the party will discuss the bet Alonso
made. Miranda warns Alonso of the fact that Bianca is cheating, but Alonso says
he knows. He says that he thinks he can trick her, then whispers something to
Miranda. She is outraged, and punches Alonso in the face, but agrees. The next
morning, Alonso plays against Bianca. He gets a good start, double 1s. The next
turn is the same. The third turn gets him his III card. The second his VII
card. That's two in a row! If he wins, he'll get 22 times what he bet!! Bianca
smirks, and then rolls one last time. But before she can do so, (IF YOU HAVEN'T
GOTTEN THIS FAR, STOP READING NOW!!!) Miranda (I REALLY MEAN IT!) climbs up on
Alonso's lap and gets really sexy with him. (I warned you.) Bianca is outraged.
When she isn't looking, Alonso flicks a sunflower seed at the dice, which are
double 6s, and turns one of the dice into a 5, giving him three cards in a row!
Bianca smirks, and then looks down at the dice. She practically explodes, say-
ing it was suppossed to be a 12. Miranda then says "Oh, you knew it was going
to be a 12, did you?" The crowd mumbles, saying the Casino is rigged. Bianca
stares at Miranda. Miranda says "Now, how are you going to pay for this?"

Okay, now it is time to prepare for our long trip to Randoto. Equip Alonso with
the new Trident and Admiral Uniform he got from the Casino, and head to the
Inn/Skill Shop. Here, I reccomend you buy Burnstrike and Alheal from the two
Gamblers and buy Counter for Miranda or Alonso and Lizard hunter for everyone
except Alfina. When you're ready, Head to Alonso's Ship and tell him you're
Ready.

Notable Monsters: Boat Swallow. See "Boss Battle" section for information.

Now, head to the front of the Ship and Talk to Alonso and Alfina. Afterwards,
head to the Cabin and tell Miranda you're ready for bed. In the morning, save
and exit the cabin. Outside await the Boat Swallows.

Here, you'll have to fight two rounds of eight Boat .|
Swallows. Have Miranda use Tremor, while the rest use|
combos. These two battles are quite easy with this. .|

Afterwards, Ulf arrives and a hilarious cutscene insues. Afterwards, talk to
Shiba 4 times (more for laughs) and return to the cabin and talk to Ulf to have
dinner. Ulf suggests that Yuki get a Lem fruit to bribe Shmidt into giving him
a plane. After dinner, Yuki automatically goes to sleep. When you awaken, save
and head out to the deck to arrive at Randoto.

Randoto and Verse Realm: Previsited (D1c)

There's nothing much to do here except find the Rainbow Save Point near the
next exit. Do so and continue.

Randoto: Underground Caves|
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Notable Monsters: Fishman. Be sure to Cancel his Snooze attack.

Head to the nearby aclove and grab the Priest Book, then blow up the wall with
the strange flower (press O). Jump over the stream and go across the bridge to
find two Fishmen. These guys are about as annoying as 3 Zoeas, but only give
the exp. points of 2 Zoeas. Bah. After beating them, and a few others down the
path, head right at the fork in the road to get a Sleep Amulet. Return and go
left. Jump across the river. Get the Shock Blade and go left and up to get Holy
Water. Return, jump over the next stream, go left, then get the Force Knife.
Now, you can choose to fight only one group of monsters, bomb the wall, and go
onward, or you can choose to take the long way around, fighting a total of 5
groups of monsters. Either way, head to the next area and find some Panacea.
Jump across the river and go into Randoto: Northeast Wall.

Notable Monsters: Fishmen. You know why. Boat Swallows. They can summon even
more of themselves, and believe me, 12 Boat Swallows at once is not very fun.

The first Chest is somewhat hard to get to. First, you must run up to the near-
by rock and strike the Bomb Flower near it. Run back to the starting point and
the rock makes a bridge to the ledge that holds the Hunter Book. Continue until
you find another rock. You know the drill. BOOM! Grab the Water Ring. Climb up
the ladder, fight the pure evil Boat Swallows, grab the Bomb Egg, and continue
down the next ladder. The next part is purely fighting until you get to a
ladder and a road. Climb up the ladder and grab the Cotton Robe. If you enjoy
life, I reccomend you don't fight the next couple of goons, because they are
completely unneccesary. Climb back down the ladder and continue down the road.
Go up the next ladder, grab the Thunder Egg from the Southern Aclove, head to
the next section of the area, grab the Revival Potion (you're going to need it)
from the Southernmost part of the section, then hop across the river, and just
before the exit, grab the Miracle Elixer from the chest. Whew!

Randoto: Mountaintop|

Use the Rainbow Save Sphere and Equip Howl to Yuki or Alonso, then head up the
Mountain.

the duo keep using combos and howls, with Alfina on Heal .|
duty and Miranda on Cancel duty. The Minotaur should die .|

Before you use the save point, make sure you unequip all of Alonso and Miran-
da's armor and replace it with their default armor. Why? You'll see... hehehe..

About halfway through here, Miranda and Alonso say that they'll meet you back
at the ship. Unfortunately, this is the last time you'll see them in your
party, so be sure to say good bye. Anyways, *sniff* continue... *sob*

Mendi City: Park Avenue|
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

To the left of the Fountain is the General Store. Sell Miranda's Equpment. Now,
Alonso's. Now, buy a couple Cure herbs, Revival Potions, and Antidotes. Head
back, and to the right of the fountain is the Inn. Well, never mind that. Head
to the Skill Shop, at the right section of the street leading west. Buy 2 Beast
Hunters and an Absorb Magic for Alfina. Across the Street, buy Healer for
Alfina and Howlslash for Yuki. Broke yet? Head up the north part of the street
to Shmidt's House. Inside, Talk to him over and over until he finally agrees to
make you a plane. Head back to Alonso's Ship.

Notable Monsters: Dragonoid. Be sure to Cancel his Acid Venom Attack.

Okay, you crash landed in the forest. Now what? Might as well head to Arcriff
Temple. The Baabaas here are easy to fight and give you a reasonable amount of
Gold, so don't hesitate to fight them. You don't even have to Cancel, because
Baabaa does absolutely nothing. The best way to fight the Dragonoids is to use
ariel combos on them. Now, onto chests. The first chest is in the upper-left
aclove before the stream, and holds a Sorcerer Book. Head directly southeast
to find a Spirit Seed. Head East South East to find a Blaze Egg. Head North and
Fight 5 Groups of BaaBaas and 1 Group of Dragonoids. Head across the stream.
To the right is a Revival Elixer. To the left are 2 Groups of Baa Baas, 3
Antidotes, A Cure Herb, and a White Sulfer. Head North From there to run into
4 Groups of Dragonoids and the next exit.

Arcriff Temple Road|

No monsters, no chests, just continue up the path.

On the south side, you will find a Magic Shop and a General Store. In the Magic
Shop, buy Cure, Ressurect, and Alheal (if you don't have them already). In the
General Store, Buy some Antidotes, some Revival Potions and Elixers, and Sell
any Sheepskin you may have gotten from the Baabaas for 1000G each! Head North
and into Arcriff Temple.

You can find a Rainbow Save Sphere in the First Area. Head through the northern
doors and talk to the Bishop, or Alfina's Grandfather. Head East, North, then
East again and into the Communicator's Room. Read the Diary on the East Side,
then head back out to the Hallway, South, West, South, West, and North, then
talk to the Priest in front of Bedroom 1.

Exit the Room, Head East, North, Watch the Cutscene, South, East, North, then
North and watch the Cutscene.

Strategies I have here are to be used when not cancelling |
or reviving party members,so don't use them otherwise. . .|
Have Alfina use Tremor, while Yuki uses Howlslash on the P|
.A's. After the Pico Alphas are dead, Have Yuki use Flash |
while Alfina uses Healer on the person most in need. Then,|
have Yuki use combos and Cancels while Alfina uses Burn- .|

You start smack dab in the middle of the North Tower. The first four items are
right in front of you. Open the Chests to get a Thunder Egg, Leaf Egg, Priest
Book, and Poison Amulet. The Lightning Stone is after the pile of rubble that
the Pico Alphas Created. Go west until you find an intersection, then turn east
at the intersection, fight the next two groups of mosters and grab the Aromatic
Root. You will fall down to the area below. Head back to the intersection. Turn
north to press on. You will find the broadsword in the middle of your path. E-
quip it if you don't have the Fire Sword equipped already. Continue to the 
exit.

Now you see why this area was here before! Head North, around the building, to
find a Revival Gem. Save it for later, when you need it more. Save, then head

Save that for later, too. Head south.

Notable Monsters: The Venom Birds. Make sure you Cancel their Venom and Mating
Call attacks, or one of these battles could become unbearable.

Remember Randoto: Southeast Wall? Now, imagine all that pain and suffering you
suffered... now imagine all of that in Hell, with spouts that shoot poison and
multiply by the second, plus gaps of molten lava that you have to jump over or
else you'll fall to a firey death. That's close to the amount of suffering you
will face in Dragon Valley. Now, imagine an amazing cleansing elixer that you
have to backtrack for miles to get to. That's the Rainbow Save Point. Anyhoo,
the first thing you have to do is climb up to the top of the ledge to the left
and push the rock down.

Head across the new bridge and fight the Evil Venom Birds flying just out of
your reach... if you dare. Head north, fight the monsters, and grab the Aqua
Egg from the chest. Head East to find a Quake Egg in an aclove, and further on,
a Rain Egg. Head back and save before Jumping across the Gap, grabbing the Holy
Water from the south chest, and Pushing the next Rock, blocking your path to
the save point! :( Head to the next 3-way intersection and turn southeast to
find some Magic Pumps in an Aclove to the West. Head back to the Intersection
and jump across the Gap. Grab the Power Seed from the Northern Aclove, Go west,
jump across the southern jump and grab the Warrior Book. Jump back and Head to
the next horrifyingly difficult section, Dragon Valley: Windy Path!

Head down the beaten path until you arrive at a giant gave. Inside, you will
find a Flare Egg, Dragon Armor for Ulf, an Aqua Egg, and a Stone Egg. Further
down is an Aclove With a Frost Egg. Near the Exit is a Regular Save Point.

the nearest tree to where you start and grab the Hunter Book. Push the log on
the West side and Chop down the North Tree. Head across the West log to the
next area. Go to the north and push the log there. Head back south and jump a-
cross the gap. Head north and Chop down the Tree. Cross the Log. East, log.
Head North and West and grab the Life Egg from the Chest in an Eastern aclove.
Head up north, then East and grab the Dragon Scale. Head West and Save.

the best equipment and skills you can afford from the General Store and Skill
Shop. Afterwards, head to the Cheif's tent and follow the story until you are
forced into the desert.

Blaze Egg. Head back to the Previous intersection and Go Northeast, then East
until you find a Staff of Ice. West, North, North at the intersection, West,
then North will get you a Fighter Book. Go South until you reach the Life Seed
and Quake Seed. Collect them, and then press the button for a shortcut back to
the desert. Go back to the Intersection and Go Northeast, Southeast, Grab the
Guardian Book, Northeast, East, Smart Seed. Back to the intersection, go North-
east to arrive at the Regular Save Point and the Next Area.

Brand and the Bond of Trust!!! Anyways, I still reccomend you level up your
lowest-leveled party members to above level 20 before the next Boss. Now, onto
Treasures. Head Northeast, East, then South to get the Mogay Bomb. Head East
and into the other part of the Sand Valley for more Treasures.
