Corrected order of Contact Me and Thanks sections. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 06-20-2006 Added Neoseekers.com and 1up.com to the list of people that are allowed to host this. ================= Unlocking Zhou Yu ================= Zhou Yu is unlocked when you turn the game on in DW4:XL ======= Max out ======= Maxing out the stats is almost manditory if you want to get the 10th and 11th weapons. Attack: Xiao Qiao's legend- Kill Cao Cao, then run down and kill the 4 generals. They will reappear one by one, and take them out before you kill Cao Cao for fourth time. With the added generals that appear, this makes for a total of 14 generals, all whom give out swords(but, unfortunately, Cao Cao). Defence: Dong Zhou's Legend- Take out the dudes that run around. Easiest with a horse like red hare, but any besides the elephant will do. Six runners equals six sheilds, plus the last characters. Life: Sun Ce- From the minimap, on the center top room (go left, then right from where you start out.) Musou: Sun Ce- From where you start out, to the back and to the right of you. In a pot. Weapon experience- Xiao Qiao's legend- See Attack. ========= Move list ========= Legend- T- Triangle S- Square (X)- pressing T repeatedly more will get more attacks. 1C- ST 5C-SSSSST S- horizontal left swing SS- (above) and horizontal right swing SSS- (above) and horizontal left swing SSSS- (above) and verticalish swing SSSSS- (above) and horizontal right swing SSSSSS- (above) and horizontal left swing T- Shoots an energy wave. When Musou is full, add's the element of the orb he's holding (if any) to the attack. ST- slash, then uppercuts them into the air. SST(X)- hit's twice, then turns 360 to attack mulitple times, ending in a stun. SSST(X)- This move has gotta be his trademark! Hits thrise, then jumps and swings his sword at an enemy. If you hit right, and press T more, he bounces off the enemy and hits them again, up to 3 times total. SSSST(X)- hits four times, then uppercuts them into the air. Like 1C, but if hit T again, he jumps up and hits them 3 more times. Doesn't always work as sometimes he rises to slowly. SSSSST- Hits five times, then slashes mightily and sends a horizontal energy wave out. Horse attack- Standard alternating swings. Horse Charge attack- Stronger version of SS. Musou attack- A 2-step attack, slashes upward repeatedly alterating the side he swings from, creating a juggling effect, and ending in an upward spiral. True Musou attack- Mimics musou attack, adds fire, ending in a firey version of C3 and the upward spiral. Announcement- Takes a strange pose and says, "Prepare yourself!" =============== 10/11th weapons =============== This assumes you are using the legends mode to obtain these weapons, and that you are "maxed out". Weapon must me upgraded to the highest possible at that point. *tip: When Zhang Liang is low on health, he runs, and doesn't fight. If you want, post a second player at the excape point to intersept. But, since I doubt you have a friend handy at that time, just kill him when you can. Zhou Yu's tenth level weapon is at(no surprise) his stage. Get the 9th level weapon and set the difficulty to "hard" This is a a bit difficult, but doable. Take out Zhang Fei and Guan Yu before Zhuge Liang appears (when his boat docks) Suggested method is to a) take out Zhang Fei, then accept Guan Yu's challenge. If Zhang Fei challenges you, ACCEPT. And boom, you'll have the weapon. =D As for the eleventh Level Weapon, get the tenth and set the mode at "expert". Kill everyone, but Zhang Liang. It's that simple, but not that EASY.... Good luck. Level 10 weapon- -Power: 54 -Max attacks: 6 -Additional effects: none Level 11 weapon -Power:60 -Max attacks: 6 -Additional effects- -Tortoise Amulet level 16 -Wing Boots level 18 -Seven Star Sash level 13 -Elixer level 17 ======== Costumes ======== Costume 1- Red front, white back and sleeves, purple belt. Costume 2- White front, red back and sleeves, green belt. Constme 3- Same as costume 1, but with ponytail Costume 4- Same as costume 2, but with ponltail Costume 5- Dynasty warriors 3 outfit, all red. Costume 6- All white. ============ Orb Affinity ============ Supposedly, he works well with fire and lightning orbs, but, heck, I'd rather use vorpal, for instant kills, wouldn't you? ==================== Recomended equipment ==================== I'll get the right names in soon. Horse mission: Horse- Shadow Orb- Vorpal(doesn't matter) Item1- Horned Helm Item2- Cavelry Armor Item3- Power Rune Item4- Wind Scroll Item5- Any Suitable Typical mission: Horse- Red Hare Orb- Vorpal Item1- Tiger Amulet Item2- Tortoise Amulet Item3- Secret of the Orbs Item4- Wind Scroll Item5- Any suitable (Peacock Urn) -=-=-Below is the analysis of all the items. Feel free to customise.-=-=- Peacock Urn- C I don't need life much. Dragon amulit- F What's more musou really good for? Tiger neclace- A Attack=good. tortoise neclace- B Useful, but.... Speed Scroll- B or F Ok in extreme mode, but useless otherwise. Jump boots- F Ya, right. Huang's Bow- F Who uses the bow, honestly. Nanman armor- D I never use it, but it has it's uses in extreme mode. Horned helm- C If you're on a horse, it's almost usefull. Cavalry armor- A or F If you ride Shadow Runner, A. Otherwise.... Seven Star Sash- A Better itmes are important, extreamly. Elixer- B If you need musou up more, I guess. Don't use it when you've got the 11th level weapon. Herbal Remedy- A Very useful. VERY usefull. -------Precious items Art of war- B Not bad, but there are better things. Survival guide- C If you live on the wild side. Bodyguard Manual- D Bodyguards don't DO a whole lot. Way of Musou- A Good for Zhou Yu especially, who's musou naturally juggles. Power Scroll- F I find this useless. Wind Scroll- A One of my faveorite items, good for hitting many people. Fire Arrow- F Bows are useless. Charge Bracer- C It doesn't protect you durring the air T attack, but it saves a few attacks. Power Rune- B attack up, defence down. Good while meeting a kill in time quota. Code of Chivilry- F If your gonna lose, you can't use the arrow cheat! Meat Bun Sack- A or F A for hard levels, F for extreme mode(where it doesn't work) Musou Armor- A A life saver in extreme mode. Master of Musou- D It eats up the Musou gauge too quickly. War Drum- C Better for stages with a lot of friendly troops, but i'm not really sure what morale DOES, so my grade could be inaccurate. Secret of the Orbs- A I use it often. Helm of might- F It doesn't work against officers. Horseshoe- F What's more damage from the horse gonna do? ====================== Zhou Yu's Legend Stage ====================== 1)After 2 meaningless posts, an ambush party arrives and tries to kill you. 2)Continuing on, Sun Quan is there battling your troops. 3)Moving along, Zhang Fei appears and tries to kill you. 4)Afterwords, Guan Yu appears and attacks you. 5a)Three minutes into the stage, or thereabouts, Zhang Liang docks and starts running like a coward. 5b)Zhou Yun comes appears with him and will fight. 6)After Zhang Liang goes so far, an officer stops him and he they start to fight. 7)Zhang Liang says it's within his ability to win, and 3 enemy officers appear and converge upon him. 8)The stage ends when Zhang Liang dies, and you lose if he succesfully retreats. Note: Zhang Liang will run without fighting if he takes a lot of damage. ====== Quotes ====== I accept your challenge quote- Actions speak louder than words. 1000 kills quote- I am a true warrior of the three kingdoms.
