The legendary Z fighters & the most evil of villans in the galaxy return in 
spike's latest creation in the Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball Z Budokai 
Tenkaichi 3 on the ps2. New moves, new stages, new characters, & a whole new
soundtrack to boot, what more could you want from the latest DBZ game? I've 
decided to get some character FAQ's done due to my recent haitus period from
walkthroughs (many of which still need to be finished!) whilst i've also been
doing other projects & getting chance to enjoy some awesome & dare i say 
classic retro gaming ^_^

This walkthrough is a character FAQ & due to the numerous new moves, & tweaks
to the tenkaichi combat system, the FAQ has been primarily composed for the
purpose of getting the most if not the best out of your chosen character/s.

The character FAQ is for newcomers, beginners, & experts alike & I do hope you
will find it a useful resource for this amazing game, so let's get started

2) Character profile:- Nappa

Nappa is an elite Saiyan warrior.

He comes to Earth with Vegeta, searching for the Dragon Balls. When they
arrive he destroys an entire town as a greeting. He has the Saiyan 
agressiveness and love of desruction.

In the battle with the Z fighters, who were protecting the Earth, he showed
an overwhelming power that eaisily defeated Tien, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo.

In the DragonBall GT anime he escapes from underworld and goes on a rampage
above ground where Vegeta kills him again.

3) Why choose Nappa?
- - - - - - - - - - -

Nappa may well elude alot of players both new & experienced, the fact of
the matter is he is one of the game's stalwart character's in terms of
attack, defense, & ability. The only major disadvantage to Nappa is the
speed of his smash & rush attacks which while powerful can possibly allow
your opponent an opening, but wait i hear you cry "he's useless to me!"
isn't that the whole purpose of setting your opponent up for a powerful 
counter attack thus rendering them wide open? Yes i thought so, not only
is the careful utilization of counters a plus to Nappa but after Nappa
has been distributed some much rewarding Z points he will like all other
characters & be able to move the limit of his potara slots from three to a
maximum of seven, allowing you to create one monster of a Saiyan...perhaps
even one that can surpass a Super Saiyan...ultimately Nappa has some great
moves such as blazing storm which blasts from left to right giving him a wide
arc of attack to eliminate persistant threats from afar while also being an
excellent close range fighter, easily capable of laying ruin to his opponent's
defenses in mearly seconds! That's not all, Nappa, also has another awesome 
trick up his Saiyan sleeve, that being the ability to transform in to a Great
Ape (also known as an Izaru) due to the ape like tail he posseses from his 
race. While transformed Nappa gains amazing power & defense (as if it wasn't 
good enough already but hey I ain't complaining!) & becomes very large, giant
infact! The plus side of this is that rush type special moves will not affect
Nappa whilst in this transformation nor can he be thrown be characters smaller
than him, which limits your rival/opponent to the attacks they must use in 
order to defeat you. I'd urge anyone with even a faint interest/like of the 
Saiyans to use Nappa in team battles & misson 100 or any mode you can for that
matter, putting aside his ridiculous death in DBZ/GT (not once but twice!) by
that swine Vegeta (yes, ever since Vegeta stabbed Nappa in the back i've 
disliked him & his general aura of hate etc etc) Nappa is very close to being
one of the top tier characters the game has to offer & on a personal level
I'd quite like you to kick Vegeta's butt but nevermind that now let's
see what Nappa's really made of shall we!

You are very welcome to choose your own potara's to equip, here i've simply
given a recomendation of how Nappa should be equipped to make full use of
his moves & abilities.



Custom 1

The first of Nappa's custom set up's in this FAQ, boost Nappa's health
with the aid of Master Roshi's training by an incriment of 10,000. Nappa's
attack is also increased & his defense with it, Combo master will allow 
Nappa's combos to deal greater damage, while finally Aura Charge Ultimate
will give Nappa the Aura of a Super Saiyan & he will recieve an extra Ki gauge
at the start of every battle!

Here we increase Nappa's health as before, however this time
Nappa's attack power is increased slightly & his super is boosted
tremendously. Rising fighting spirit gives Nappa a full Ki gauge
at the start of every single battle you use him in with this setup
however the icing on this cake is that thanks to Evil pride Nappa
only ever take half the damage he normally would when he guards
attacks, especially effective against non unblockable attacks
 & defending against energy waves.

 




Custom 3

Here we focus on Nappa's great damage potential & causing as much trouble for 
your opponents as possible! Gigantic power greatly increases the Ki damage you
inflict upon your opponent when they guard your rush & smash attacks, this is
even more effective with satisfying blow which makes Nappa's 2nd blast 
(Blazing storm) ignore your opponent's defenses & still deal it's damage 
potential. Even more brutal to your opponent is Nappa's super at max with
his mighty attack power taken down a peg respectively, however attack up 2
overides this & gives Nappa slightly more attack power, now you should truly
be unstoppable!

7) Nappa's red potara password ==

Red Potara are special from ordinary potara, they grant super enhanced 
properties & cannot be obtained by normal means like your standard potara
used to customize your fighters through evolution Z. In order to obtain
the red potara you must "cheat" so to speak, go to the 'data centre' on
the main menu & then input the following password:

Now on the character select screen under password character you will have
a Nappa, but not just any Nappa oh no! This is a super Nappa with stats
pushed far beyond normal limits, have fun trashing any opponent with Nappa
the indomatible Saiyan.

I should also mention that you will only be able to use red potara characters
in duel & ultimate battle modes, which does take a little of the fun out of it
but it's another extra feature you can use to see Nappa at his most powerful!

8) Frequantly asked questions(getting to know you)==

   Q. Nappa's not very effective at his normal Ki blasts, any ideason how
      I could change this? 
   
   A. It could be worse, it depends on how often if at all you use your 
      ordinary ki blasts, if you feel they are a real advantage to you &
      you simply can't be without them dealing a good standard of damage to
      your opponent be it mid-close range then equip Nappa with rush blast
      potara, rush blast 3 would even reduce the cost of energy type attack.
      The main purpose I would use Ki blasts for is to lure your enemy to
      drop their guard, so even if they didn't hit, if your opponent makes
      attempts to evade them regardless of the damage they will do, they are
      open to any other form of attack, every second counts & as Nappa has
      the powerful wide arc coverage from blazing storm you may want to use
      this to your advantage so in that regard the normal Ki blasts are useful
      don't worry about thier damage too much.
