Unlocking Characters
Listed below, is a list of characters in the game. These are the "easier" of the characters to unlock.

01. Teen Gohan: complete Kid Gohan's Dragon Universe
02. Gohan: complete Teen Gohan's Dragon Universe.
03. Great Saiyaman: Complete Gohan's Dragon Universe.
04. Goten: Beat Goten in Gohan's Dragon Universe.
05. Vegeta: Beat Vegeta in Goku's Dragon Universe.
06. Trunks: Beat Trunks in Vegeta's Dragon Universe.
07. Kid Trunks: Beat Majin Buu in Vegeta's Dragon Universe.
08. Captain Ginyu: Beat Captain Ginyu in Goku's Dragon Universe.
09. Recoome: Beat Recoome in Goku's Dragon Universe.
10. Frieza: Beat Frieza in Goku's Dragon Universe.

Now here is a list of the "not-so-easy-to-unlock" characters:

01. Kid Goku: This little Saiyan can be unlocked two different ways. They are both very easy too. One
way is to complete Broly's Dragon Universe. The other way: Use Goku's Dragon Universe for
AT LEAST the second time. AFTER you beat Raditz, and BEFORE you battle Nappa,... go to
Grandpa Gohan's house (located in the 'Black" mountains along the East coast. Use the Aura
sensing, it will make it easier).

02. Hercule: Use Piccolo's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. BEFORE you fight Buu, and AFTER
the "event" at Central City, search the desert surrounding Baba's Palace. Do this carefully,
and you will find a scene with Hercule. After this scene, go to Central City and talk to
Videl. After your conversation with Videl, Hercule will become unlocked.

03. Videl: Use Gohan's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. BEFORE you fight Dabura, carefully
search the area East/right of Goku's House. After you find the scene with Videl, CAREFULLY check
the chain of islands in the bottom right part of the map. There will be a second scene with
Videl. When this scene is over, Videl will become unlocked.

04. Supreme Kai: Use Gohan's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. After you have unlocked Videl,
AND beat Goten, go to Kami's lookout and beat Piccolo. When the Dabura fight appears, go
to the mountain area on the main continent. Find the scene with Vegeta, and then go fight
Dabura. After the Dabura battle, Gohan will now go after Vegeta instead of Buu. Beat
Vegeta, and head towards the red dot. BEFORE you fight Buu, use the "Sense Aura" (R1) to
find the "plains" spot near Central City. After the scene with Supreme Kai, he will become
unlocked.

05. Uub: Use Goku's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. Now, reach the Majin Buu Saga. The trick
to unlocking Uub is this: you have to beat Kid Buu with the "Super" Spirit Bomb. Here's what you
do: Before the battle with Kid Buu, you have to adjust you skill tray. YOU MUST HAVE THESE THREE
IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK: Kaioken, Super Saiyan, and Spirit Bomb (As for the rest, I used: Z Sword,
Concentration, Saiyan Spirit, and Kamehameha). DO NOT POWER-UP HIGHER THAN KAIOKAEN DURING THE
BATTLE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE "SUPER" PART OF THE SPIRIT BOMB ATTACK!!! Wait until Kid
Buu's energy is in the yellow", and then do the spirit bomb. YOU MUST WIN THE "POWER STRUGGLE" IN
ORDER TO DO THE "SUPER" SPIRIT BOMB!!! If all is done correctly, Goku will transform into a Super
Saiyan and fininsh off Kid Buu. After this battle, go to the red dot. If you defeat Uub at the
World Martial Arts Tournament, he will become unlocked.
NOTE: BEFORE you go to the tournament, head to the islands that are East/right of the tournament.
Find the one with the ???, which will trigger a very "Odd" scene. After that scene, the
S.S.4 capsule (for Goku ONLY) will be unlocked.

06. Android 16: You must be in Krillin's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. During the Namek
Saga, there will be a point/time where 2 red dots will be on the map. Go to the one
furthest East/right, and talk to a frog. After that "conversation", go do everything
else as you would normally. The Android Saga will be intergrated as a new feature. Now,
search the islands on the bottom part of the map (if memory serves, by the left corner).
Find the spot labeled "Plains", and you will find Android 16,.....or what's left of him.
Immediately after this scene, go to West City and talk to Bulma. Bulma will fix the
broken warrior, and he will become unlocked.

07. Cooler: Most Important in unlocking Cooler, is this: Not only do you need to beat Goku's Dragon Universe,
you need to have beaten Vegeta's Dragon Universe as well.
That being said, here we go: Using Goku's Dragon Universe, you need to get to the point where
you have beaten Frieza and there are three red dots on the map. Go to the red dot DIRECTLY BELOW
where you fought Frieza,...and beat S.S. Vegeta. After the battle, go to the red dot in/near the
middle of the screen. This will trigger the "Cooler Sequence". When you beat him, he will become
unlocked. Although he can be fought by other characters, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK HIM!!!
NOTE: After you defeat Cooler, another event will be in the same place. BEFORE going to this
battle, and AFTER you talk to "Metal" Cooler, search north of his space ship. If you find
the right spot, you will unlock the "Metal" version of Cooler (the Cooler's Space Ship
capsule).

08. Bardock: Goku's father can be unlocked two different ways. One way, is to use a memory card with a
Dragonball Z: Budoki 2 save file. The other way: Use Goku's Dragon Universe, and find Raditz's
Space Ship (located in the upper mountains,..to the right...somewhat near the coast). When you
find the ship, enter it, and Bardock will become unlocked.

09. Broly: This guy is a pain...but he's still fun to use...as usual, you need to use Goku's Dragon Universe
for AT LEAST the second time. Now, get to the Majin Saga,...the point where Goku is looking for a
person to fuse with. After Gohan is absorbed, look in the surrounding area (where Goku starts this
stage), for a ??? nearby. After the scene with Hercule, head towards the red dot, BUT DO NOT START
THE BATTLE WITH SUPER BUU!!!!! Close to the dot, will be another ???. After the scene with Tien,
search the surrounding area once more,...this time for a spot labeled "Mountains". After you talk
to Kibitoshin, go and fight Super Buu. After Super Buu has been beaten for the second time (the
fight within his body), a new red dot will be on the map. BEFORE you go to this new battle, search
the islands to the East/right of the World Martial Arts Tournament. If you find the correct one,
you will unlock the S.S.4 capsule for Goku. Now go to the red dot. If you beat Broly, he will
become unlocked.
You can battle Broly with Vegeta, but the sequence is slightly Different. Befor you fuse with Goku,
go to "Ice Island". After talking to Kibitoshin, go fight Buu. The "Broly Dot" will appear later.

10. Omega Shenron: First: you must fullfill the "Broly Requirements" listed above. After Broly has been
defeated, ignore the red dot and go to West City. After the conversation with Bulma, go and
beat Gotenks at the tournament (this will unlock the Gogeta Fusion for Goku). After your
battle, a new red dot will appear...Omega Shenron. When you arrive, S.S.4 Vegeta will show
show up. The two of you will fuse to become, and unlock, S.S.4 Gogeta. If you beat Omega
Shenron, he will become unlocked.
NOTE: You will be able to defeat Omega Shenron easily in the transformed state. If you run
out of time, and change back into Goku, you are so F**ked!!! Try like hell to use the
100X Big Bang Kamehameha, it will put a serious A**-Whooping on him!!!

11. Saibamen: In the Dragon Arena: use a Level 10-20 character, and battle opponents *AT LEAST DOUBLE* your own
level. Eventually, Nappa will "Suddenly Break In". Defeat him, and the Saibamen will become
unlocked. *Example: A level 25 Cell should battle a Level 50 anyoune. Once you "Power-Up" to Level
26, battle a Level 52,...and so on.

12. Cell Jr.: In the Dragon Arena: use a Level 20-40 character, and battle opponents *AT LEAST DOUBLE* your own
level. Eventually (most likely around the time you reach a Level 36-40,...provided you follow the
example listed above for the Saibamen), Piccolo will "Suddenly Break In". Defeat him, and Cell Jr.
will become unlocked.

Fusions and More

1. S.S.4 Vegeta
+
S.S.4 Gogeta: Use Vegeta's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. Fullfill the "Broly Requirments"
(listed above), DO NOT go to the battle with Broly after the second battle with Super Buu.
Slowly fly over the islands in the bottom-right of the map. When you fly over the right one,
a scene will automatically triggered. After the scene has ended, go beat Broly. After Broly has
been beaten, ignore the red dot and go to Baba's Palace instead. Carefully search the surrounding
area for a spot labeled "Plains". After you talk to Bulma, go to West City. After the West City
scene, you will have the S.S.4 capsule for Vegeta (it also explains how he skipped S.S.3). Now
go to the island with the red dot. If you defeat S.S.4 Goku, you will unlock the S.S.4 Gogeta
capsule for Vegeta.

2. Gotenks: From my experiemce, these capsules (Goten and Kid Truks each get one) are a "shop only" item.

3. Kibitoshin: Use Gohan's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. Fullfill the "Supreme Kai Requirements"
(listed above), and then beat Kid Buu (with Gohan). DO NOT GO TO FIGHT BROLY!!! Go to Central City,
and then head West (to the coastline). Find the "Forest" event on one of the islands, and you will
unlock the Kibitoshin Fusion after the scene there.

Breakthrough Capsules for characters NOT in Dragon Universe

This was a pain in the A** to figure out, but I managed to do so. Here's how it works:

1. Unlock all (well at least everyone except Cell Jr., and the Saibamen) Characters.

2. Purchase the "Ultimate Skill/Move" for each character at the skill shop. (30 out of the 38 have one)
They cost 50,000 Zenie each. If you think that's bad,...each one has a "Power-Up"!!! Ya know, that Red "P" in
the yellow circle,... middle box of the "Skill Card". Basically, it increases the attack's strength. However,
it's like buying the same thing twice.

3. After Buying all of the "Ultimate Skill/Move" from the shop (the original, not the "Power-Up"), go to the
"System section of the shop and purchase "Baba's Crystal Ball (000)"...120,000 Zenie.

4. After Buying "(000)", go back to the "System" section, and purchase "Baba's Crystal Ball (001)"..120,000 Zenie.

5. With the above four requirements met, you will now be able to purchase the "Breakthrough" capsules for all of
the characters that you have unlocked: not available in Dragon Universe. They cost 75,000 Zenie each.

6. Memories of ...: As you may have already noticed (at the end of Dragon Universe, with all seven Dragonballs),
you can wish for the "Memories" of a character. Just like the "Breakthrough" capsules for the
characters NOT in the Dragon Universe, these capsules may be bought from the shop. Provided
that you complete the Five Requirements listed above, the "Memories of..." capsules can be
purchased for 100,000 Zenie each.

Story Reenactments

01. Piccolo Vs. Raditz: In Piccolo's Dragon Universe; successfully use the "Special Beam Cannon" attack on Raditz.

02. Tien Vs. Nappa: In Tien's Dragon Universe; successfully use the "Ki Blast Cannon" attack on Nappa.

03. Kid Gohan Vs. Nappa: In Kid Gohan's Dargon Universe; successfully use the "Masenko" attack on Nappa.

04. Krillin Vs. Frieza: In Krillin's Dragon Universe; successfully use the "Destructo Disc" attack on Freiza while
he is in his second form.

05. Goku Vs. Frieza: In Goku's Dragon Universe; transform into Super Saiyan at the begining of the fight; then win.

06. Yamcha Vs. Dr. Gero: In Yamcha's Dragon Universe; place the "Senzu Bean" in your skill tray. Wait until your
Health Gauge reaches "Orange" during your battle with Dr. Gero. Activate the "Senzu Bean"
by holding the guard button (X), and tapping/pressing down twice.

07. Piccolo Vs. Cell: In Piccolo's Dragon Universe; "Fuse with Kami" during the battle with Cell.

08. Vegeta Vs. Cell: In Vegeta's Dragon Universe; you must defeat Cell (the FIRST time you battle him) with more
than a "Half-Green" Health gauge.

09. Vegeta Vs. Cell: In Vegeta's Dragon Universe; you must become a Super Saiyan AND successfully use the
"Final Flash" attack during the SECOND battle with Cell.

10. Teen Gohan Vs. Goku: In Teen Gohan's Dragon Universe; you must become a Super Saiyan AND defeat Goku.

11. Teen Gohan Vs. Cell: In Teen Gohan's Dragon Universe; you must become a Super Saiyan 2 AND defeat
"Perfect" Cell with the "Father-Son Kamehameha" attack.

12. Vegeta Vs. Majin Buu: In Vegeta's Dragon Universe; you will be "Majin Vegeta" during this stage. Simply fill
all seven Ki gauges, and defeat Majin Buu with the "Final Explosion" attack. PLEASE
NOTE: You MUST win the power-struggle in order to successfully use this attack!!!

13. Goku Vs. Majin Buu: In Goku's Dragon Universe; you will begin this battle as Super Saiyan 3. All you have to
do, is win this battle in the same "Form" (S.S.3) you started it.

14. Piccolo Vs. Super Buu: In Piccolo's Dragon Universe; sll you need to do, is take longer than sixty-seconds to
defeat Super Buu. It will give Kid Trunks, and Goten, enough time to Fuse. I highly
recommend using the "Dragon Rush" attacks....they "eat-up" time.

15. Gohan Vs. Super Buu: In Gohan's Dragon Universe; defeat Super Buu AFTER unlocking/activating the
"Elder Kai Unlock Ability" technique.

16. Goku Vs. Kid Buu: In Goku's Dragon Universe; beat Kid Buu using the "Super Spirit Bomb" attack. In order to
use this attack, you must have the following items in you skill tray: Kaioken, Super
Saiyan, and Spirit Bomb. You DO NOT need to win the power-struggle, but this attack MUST
defeat him.

17. Vegeta Vs. Goku: In Vegeta's Dragon Universe; defeat Goku using "Super Saiyan 4". This will be the last time
you will battle Goku (NOT Majin Vegeta).

18. S.S.4 Gogeta Vs. Omega Shenron: In Goku's Dragon Universe; wait until Omega Shenron's health gauge is green,
then use the "100x Big Bang Kamehameha" attack to defeat him.

19. Broly Vs. Gohan: In Broly's Dragon Universe (the SECOND TIME you go through it); use the "Gigantic Meteor"
attack. You don't ned to defeat Gohan with this attack, just use it at some point during
the battle.

20. Uub Vs. Goku: In Uub's Dragon Universe; use the "Ki Cannon" attack during your first battle with Goku.

Stages. Most of them are unlocked throughout the game, but the ones listed below are a little tricky:

1. Grandpa Gohan's House: Use Kid Gohan's Dragon Universe for AT LEAST the second time. Instead of going to battle
Piccolo (in the "Mountains"), go and battle Goku (at Grandpa Gohan's House....listed
above under Kid Goku). If you beat Goku, this stage will become unlocked.

2. Dragon Arena: If you have unlocked everyone, then simply beat Dragon Universe with every character (10) EXCEPT
Broly (who makes it a total of 11 characters). If you have already beaten Broly's Dragon Universe,
and still don't have Dragon Arena,...you must beat it, AGAIN, with everybody EXCEPT Broly.

In order to enter a password into Dragon Arena, press R1/R2 (it's one or the other) when the
"choose you opponent" screen comes up. If you never entered a password before, this screen should
be blank. Now press either start or select to begin the process of entering a password.

3. Cell Games Tournament: At some point in Dragon Arena, Cell will "Suddenly Break In". Beat him, and this stage
will become unlocked. From what I understand, you need to use a character with a
Level of 20-30,...and after 15-20 battles, Cell will appear.

Z modes. These are different levels of difficulty available, when unlocked, for Dragon Universe.

1. Z Mode (Goku's Wish): Beat Dragon Universe, on Very Hard, once (it doesn't matter what character you use).

2. Z2 Mode: Beat Dragon Universe, on Z Mode, once (it doesn't matter what character you use).

3. Z3 Mode: Beat Dragon Universe, on Z2 Mode, once (it doesn't matter what character you use).

4. Strongest of the
Universe Trophy: Beat Dragon Universe, on Z3 Mode, once (it doesn't matter what character you use).

A List of all charcters and Fusions. This should answer the: "I though there were over 40 characters in this
game. What you need to do, iscount the Fusions and "Reincarnation" capsules with all of the "base" characters.
