| I. Introduction |
 -----------------

Created by the mind of Koji Igarashi (behind the games: Symphony
of the Night, Harmony Of Dissonance, Lament of Innocence, Aria
of Sorrow, and Dawn of Sorrow.)

And this time it takes place three years after the events of
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. The year is 1476, and you are
Hector, a devil forage master who has betraid his evil lord,
Count Vlad Tepes Dracula. During this tragic event, that took
place, this allowed Dracula to be defeated by none other than
Trevor C. Belmont, who carries a burden and the sacred whip
known as the Vampire-Killer that has been passed down and wield
by his Clan for generations, to be the bane of the night. But
as Hector you are traveling to hunt down a former friend,
but now a deadly arch enemy named Isaac who too is a devil
forge master, and has had Hector's wife Rosilly trialed
as a witch and killed.

Hector seeks vengence, but in order to fight not only his brother
by spiritual body but, as an arch enemy. But alas - Hector must
regain his powers, and must try to over come and vanquish the
evil curse which plagues the lands of not only Transylvania
but Europe as a whole.

Now, the only downfall to this game is that there has have been a
few minor changes since the first PS2 installment. There is now
camera control functions, a lock-on system. But the combo system
from LOI has been removed. You are now given a few attacks and a
finisher depending how many times you press the main attack
button then the finisher button to preform combos. And the
move list from LOI no longer exist except for the guard
and guick-guard functions. But it lags, and isn't as smooth
as from its predecessor.

My name is Ryan Nicholson, I currently live in the state of Missery
(Missouri) I love gaming as a hobbie but, I am not a hardcord
gamer. I just play them when I have the time and for my own
personal amusement.

I'm a poet (and plan on publishing a book.) I also enjoy writing
short stories and I also am a musician. I've been playing guitar
for 11 going on 12 years. I'm into alot of the european metal (the
gothenburg sound) and I am also a classical guitarist.

Now I decided to write a guide for this game because there aren't
alot of guides out there that cover this game. And the guides
that I have seen for the game didn't really seem to be that
helpful. Or didn't seem to give the proper information as
when it was needed.

Now, I am a big Castlevania fan (starting from the first game
dating back on the NES in 1986.) I am also 20 years old, if
you are curious.

So you want to get into contact with me, eh? Then we shall
see. There are alot of ways of getting ahold of me.

| 2. Controls  ||
 --------------

The controls in COD are very simplified. And the
learning curve of this game will only take about
10 minutes.

Left Analog stick - Menu select/walk/run

Direction button: I.D. (Innocent Devil) controls/menu select

Square Button: Attack

Triangle Button: Ability/Innocent Devil Ability

Circle Button: Finisher button/Steal/Use/Examine

X Button: Jump/Confirm

L1: Reset camera.

L2 Button: Lock-on Target

L1: Enable/Disable Lock-on Target

R1: Guard

Attacking

Attacking in this game is very diffrent from our counter part from
LOI. Insted of a combo system you are given afew choices of method
of attacks by what diffrent weapon you use.

But attacks are normally like this

Square, Sqaure, Sqaure, Sqaure

Sqaure, Circle

Square, Square, Circle

Square, Square, Square, Circle

So you should get the point the only limit that I have
seen in the game is 8 hits, but you can do some nifty
combos.

There are also afew other moves within the game
that the manual doesn't list like the following

Up slash/uppercut - hold the R1 button then attack (aka Luncher
attacks)

Jump Kick - Press the circle and square button at the same time.

Down attack: Can be used when using a heavy weapon (i.e. Claymore)

Other Infomation -

Unlike LOI this game is fully RPG. So every time you kill an enemy
you gain EXP to level up Hector so he may get stronger, and allows
him to have more HP (Hit points) So here is a layout of the RPG
system in COD

HP - Hit points (when whiches 0 you are dead)

Atk - Your basic attack (how strong you are with weapons)

Def - Your defense (the higher it is, the better protected
                    you are.)
STR - Strength (the higher, the stronger you are.)

CON: Constitution (determines recovery time on status'.)

Poison: Resistence to posion.
Curse: Resistence to cure.
Stone: Resistence to stone.
Paralyze: Resistence to parayze.
Fire: Resistence to fire.
Ice: Resistence to ice.
Thunder: Resistence to thunder.
Wind: Resistence to wind.
Eath: Resistence to earth.
Light: Resistence to light.
Dark: Resistence to dark.

 -------------------------------------
| 3. Introduction to Innocent Devil's |
 -------------------------------------

Innocent Devils -

The thing I really like about this game is the introduction
to a new style and form of game play. Well not really new
but, new per-say. Innocent Devils (we shall refer them to
I.D's for now on.) are like familiars from SoTN (if you
have played the game; it is a demon that follows you
around and helps you take out monsters within an area.)
Kinda like a second player but controlled computer A.I.
only.

In COD the I.D's play more of a significant and vital role
within the game. The I.D's will gain levelsto help them
grow stronger, to learning new skills, which allows you
to have more opitions on how to clear out a room. And will
evolve (if you choose) with what evolution crystals to use,
which will allow them to help our hereo Hector to reach new
areas within the game OR help clean up the mess of monsters
within an area.

How do they work -

But how do I.D's work? Well, let me explain to you my friend!
I.D's are very easy and simple to control, you can either put
them on Automode (using your directional button's up and down)
which puts the computer in control of what special moves it can
actually do at that point in time, depending on its level and
form. Or you can press it back down to the regular control and
use the right or left directional button to select what and
which special ability an I.D. can do and use it by pressing
the triangle button.

Now the I.Ds are mainly used for getting around areas. So that
they really aren't that needed unless, you want to clean
house faster. You can also do solo play. But I wouldn't
recomend it unless, you find the early game abit too easy for
you.

Leveling up I.D's & abilities -

I.D's level up the same we Hector does (by earning experince
points.)

Innocent Devil's get abillities after doing certain task. Like
killing a certain amount of monsters or walking around for an
hour. I do (and HIGHLY) recomend after you evolve each I.D is
that you stop harvesting EVO crystals (by turning it off in
the select summon screen.) So that it will give your I.D's
time to gain their newest ability.

Devil Shards -

After a certain amount of time and use of a particular I.D they
will drop shards (I.E. eggs) so that you can forge new monsters,
and bestow them on a path of new abilities that one doesn't have.
I will also explain why some Devil Shards are so important later
in this guide.

Types of Innocent Devil's -

Fairy Type - The healing type which can also give status effects
             towards enemies

Battle Type - Pretty much the meatwagon's in the game.

Bird Type - The aerial attacks of the night

Mage Type - Pretty much the wizard type,
            spell: Time Stop

Devil Type - A very agressive I.D (alot more
             agressive than the Battle-Type)
Also a plot device... But it
can have it's good momments if
             used propperly!

How to Evolve Innocent Devil's -

Evolving your Innocent Devil veries from which weapon type that
you use. So if you use a Sword (which is the color of Red)
monsters will drop Red EVO crystals. If you use an Axe type
weapon monsters will drop Blue EVO crystals. It depends on
how many evolution crystals that you have so that you can
upgrade it's form to a newer one.

But once it reaches to it's Crown (the highest level that
one can go.) you can no longer evolve it. So choose your
weapons carefully so that you can upgrade and evolve the
right Innocent Devil that is for you.

Each I.D. has diffrent strengths and weaknessess, so use
what is right for you. Take your time in this game and
experiment. Do you want a Mage type I.D. that can kill
every monster in the room? or do you want a Battle-type
I.D. that will help you on a slaughter fest? Or would
you rather have an Aerial attacker that will bomb the
hell out of them?

So take your time, have some fun. Work your way out on
it.

Note:

As I mean right or left, straight or backwards I am referring to as
Hector is entering the room...Etc. For on the map screen I will be
referring: North, South, East, West...Etc.
****
ALSO THE MAPS ARE IN FIXED MODE FOR THIS GUIDE! So keep that
as a reminder so that you DON'T GET LOST! It'll make it a lot
easier with this guide if you keep the map in the FIXED MODE.
****
The beginning of the game, will tell you about the back story and
you will then be introduced to Hector and Isaac. After the cut
scene the game will begin

------------------------------------------------------------------
A. The Abanonded Castle |
                                                                  |
Map: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/castlevania_ |
     cod_abandoned_castle.png |
==================================================================

This area is more like a mere introduction (with awesome music to
back you up) play around for a few minutes in the game to help you
get familiar with the controls. So take this time to get used to
the game. And instead of going right into the castle, we shall turn
around to snag up a few goodies, A potion and a moai statue (if you
have a Lament of Innocence save file.) Now, return to the castle,
and go up to the door and enter.

Upon entering move forward until you see an Executioner break down
the wall. This may provide a challenge but, not really. Just
block his attacks or dodge and hit him with the weapon combo
attacks that I told you about earlier in this guide. After the
battle a blue door will be shown to you - that is a save room.
Go inside and save your game. (and register it to be a return
location if you desire.)

Now upon coming out make a left down the stairs and into the water.
Destroy the Mermen within this area, and then look for a staircase
to go up on the left side of the area to grab a potion at the top
You will also see a door. But when you go up to the door, you'll
notice you can't open the door and that something fits in it.
Remember this door, and return to the Save Point.

Now continue straight until you find yourself facing some
Skeletons. They shouldn't be a problem if the Merman were simple,
then these guys shouldn't pose too much of a threat at all. Now,
if you kill one of them and if they drop something called Bronze
I will explain that to you when the time comes.

Now continue going forward and you will find a door; enter it and go
into the next room. You should be now going south on the map screen
if it is in Fixed Mode. Continue going forward and into your next
room.

In this next room you will face your first room battle (if you're
new to Playstation 2 CVs.) The object is to destroy all monster
or a certain group of monsters within the room in order to open up
a new door. But this should be really easy, for you're only facing
skeletons. Also in this room you will find an ability which will
allow you to quick-step by holding the R1 button and pressing X
and the analog stick in either direction.

After the battle go up the stairs, you will now be in an outside
area. Continue going forward and killing the Fenrir's that run
towards you. You will then come up on a group of Skeletons,
just take 'em out and go left and enter the door.

Tip: Candles hold very little money (Like $1 coins) but some
candles hold meat, potions, and curable status potions.

Again continue going straight and kill off the Skeletons. You will
then find another save room. You know what to do!

To carry on with the game, continue going straight, and take out
the monsters who block your path with sheer ease. And enter the
next room. In the center you'll see an item. That's the Abandoned
Castle map. Which can be very important if you get lost! ^_^

Now again, head left and go straight killing off the hounds of hell
and vile bag o'bones. And enter the next door.

In this next room you'll be in another locked room. Just kill off
the Skeletons and the Cyclops. After that just enter the next room.
In this room you'll find a treasure chest, but upon you trying to
open it you discover you cannot!

You'll find out how to open this chest in a few minutes. Instead
continue going straight up the stairs into a room with a green
door and a scene will be shown.

Now after that really 'cool' scene you obtain your first Innocent
Devil, and you'll meet your second character - Zead. But you're
probably thinking after that "cool" invocation you'd get something
cool? Naw, they start you off with a fairy. An efin' Fairy!

Yeah... I know - that's what I thought too! But fear not! The fairy
is very valuable, and special. Now remember what these doors look
like for these are doors which take you to rooms to gain new
Innocent Devil's.

After the scene you'll be given an explanation on I.D's.

------------------------------------------------
Innocent Devil #1: (Fairy Type) Instant Fairy |
Level: 1 |
Abilities: Unlock, Heal Lvl. 1 |
================================================

Now, leave this room - You remember that chest outside? That's
right - the Fairy has the ability to open chest such as this
one. Within the chest you'll be given a Dragon Crest.

Now do you remember that door I told you about? The one that you
couldn't get in to? It's time to return to that door, because it
will allow you excess to open that door.

Now it's time for something a little bit more challenging. Kill off
the skeletons in this room and then the Executioner. Also in the
center of this room you will find the Bestiary, which will record
the information of the monsters you have killed. Now loon the left
(or right depending on the direction of the camera) head into the
cracked wall to goto the Basement First Floor.

In this next area you'll be given a fresh bunch of new enemies
called Ghost, just attack them any way you please and continue
forward in to the next door. Again continue forward killing off any
enemy you see. You will then come to a new save point, use it and
then leave and go through the next door.

Go down and kill off the Fenrir's, and go forward Now you'll come to
a turning point to either go forward or left. Just keep going forward
for now. And kill off the Fenrirs and in the next room you will be
ambushed by three Ghost! OMG! Just kill them off. Now check your
map.

Now do you remember that path I told you to ignore (which is now an
unexplored section) go into the unexplored areas until you've come
to a door you haven't entered. Enter it.

In this room you'll see a bunch of barrels. Hmm, let's see wood +
sword = smash! ^_^ so destroy them all until you can pick up some
wine but it doesn't stop just yet. You'll find a potion and
another treasure chest which carries Aluminum.

Now go back to where you fought them three ghost and go into the
unexplored section and on the right, enter the door. Now in here
were things get a little challenging. Just kill off the Fenrir's
and Ghost, and grab the $100 bag in the center, and now leave and
go right and forward and then a quick left, forward and then a
right. You will then come to another door.

In this next roo--H-hey! Wait a minute, the music stopped! And
your fairy (if still activated) has a question mark above her head
and is going looney! Look towards a rotten out pillar! And next
to it you'll get the Weapon Combining Skill.

This skill will allow you to forge new weapons of war to rape upon
your victims! So, anyways right now you're going to want to make
a few new items. In the select menu, and select the Combined Weapon
menu. In this menu you will be asked to forage certain weapons (if
you have certain items) It really isn't that hard. Just select a
weapon that is ???????? (which is a new weapon or armor piece to
create.) Or you can forge weapons that you have already created.

Now you have a few choices. You can either make Sword, Axe, or
Knuckle weapon and some armor (Helmet/Armor) But, honestly it's
completely up to you on which weapon you desire to make. But I
honestly prefer a sword. But first create another Short sword
(using Bronze) and then you will use Aluminum and a Short Sword
to create a Foil which is +10 to attack. Or you can create
an Axe by using a Short Sword and Wild Memory. Or a Knuckle Weapon
with Bronze and Aluminum.

After creating your items, it's time to see what's up with this
pillar. Well any old school Castlevania vet knows what this means.
If you don't, just attack the pillar until it breaks to reveal a
new path. Go up the new path into a new room (Hey! The music
stared! Woo! And don't forget to collect the treasure chest!) In
this chest you will now have the ability to harvest evolution
crystals which was explained in the early chapter of this guide
(See: Intro to Innocent Devil's for more information.) Anyways
turn around and continue straight into the next room.

In this room you'll be facing some new baddies: the good ol'
fashion ZOMBIE! *Does the song thing from Sean of the Dead while
zombies approach* You know the drill! Just take 'em out with your
new goodies! And continue into the next room which will be located
on the North side of the map. Again kill the zombies and go into
the next room. Now in this room, you'll encounter the 'healers'
of the evil monestrous group known as Wizards. Just simply kill
them.

Note: If you encounter these guys around other mixed forces such
as Axe Knights or Skeletons...Etc. They will heal them. So take
these guys out first and fast.

Now go into the next room and go straight into the next. *sigh*
(Yes, I know you're probably getting me sick and tired of telling
you where to go, but it's my job to help you!) Anyways, in this
room, you'll be fighting some more baddies Now it's time to head
back up the 1st floor (not seriously go ALL the way back to where
you started, but the stairway in this new room.) In this next room
you'll be in a room with some Zombies and Wizard's. Remember to
kill them Wizzies off first.

Again leave this room into the next area. And in the next room you
will find yourself the ye' ol' zombeeeeeeeeeeya. But after you kill
them some Skeleton Blazers will appear, they also appear to be a
good challenge. Just quickly take them out and leave this room and
continue straight into the next. In the center of this room you
will find a potion a Wizzie, and a few zombies, you know what to do.

Next leave the room and go straight into the next room and kill off
the zombies. Also look for the chair in this room which looks like
an electric chair. Sit on it for some laughs. Shocking, eh? You're
probably curious of the chairs. The chairs in this game are for
a special side quest that seems to have a very good purpose
(you'll find out later) I will to try tell you where the chairs
are in this walkthrough or on a side-quest part of the game. Now
head up the stairs and you will now be on the 2nd floor in a new
part of the castle.

In this next room you'll be introduced to Axe Knights, they may be
slow but their strength is something not to be underestimated. Just
take them out and carefully dodge their hard hitting attacks. Now
leave the room on the south part of the map (or just go straight,
heh.) Continue going straight into the next room. In this room
you'll find more Wizzie's and a Axe Knight. Kill off the Wizzie's
first, then the Knight. After that turn left and go into the next
door. Go straight, kill the Axe Knight, and go left, kill
the second axe knight and then go straight into the next room.

In this next room you are locked off and ambushed by baddies,
Kill off the Wizzies, then the other local scum! Also in this
room you'll gain a new ability for double-step which allows
you to do a second quick step!

After the battle, it's time to go to the 1st floor (look on the map
of that unexplored section) for it's not time to go up to the 3rd
floor just yet! In this hallway you'll find another save point, so
use it if you desire. After that go down into the room which holds
the stairway to the 1st floor. In this room you have Axe Knights,
kill them if you want too, then go down stairs. Next go back up
stairs, and re-kill the Axe Knights and leave. Then head to
the third floor.

In this next area you'll encounter more baddies, just kill 'em off
and go to the next room and continue forward. In this next room
you'll encounter a good old friend, the Bone Dragon. Just jump up
and attack him to do an air attack combo. After this battle head
into the next hallway and go into the next room.

Anyways, you probably get the picture, just go around the square
and head to the fourth floor. Anyways in this next room you'll
find a save point on the left side going done the hallway. SAVE,
for it's about time to fight your first boss. Continue forward 'til
you see a door with crossbones on it. That is the symbol
of a Boss Chamber. Enter it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Crazy Armor |
Level: 9 |
                                                                 |
This boss is really simple. He swings his right weapon two times |
and his left weapon once. Attack him with your weapon combos and |
dodge. Also air combo attacks work very well. If you're having |
problems, have your I.D. heal you. Once Crazy Amor gets done to |
his yellow life gauge. He will unleash a few new attacks (like |
throw his head at you) After you destroy him, he will rebuild |
himself. (isn't that a surprise...) He will shoot fireballs |
at you, and do this flamethrower thing if you get close to him. |
But don't let that bother you, this boss is a piece of cake. |
-----------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle, he'll blow up. You will then see an elevator
raise up, and you'll also see this circle of shiny light. Go
in that after every boss fight and it will automatically replenish
lost HP for both your I.D. and yourself. Now go back to the save
point then enter the Elevator next and you'll be taken to a new
area.

                                                                 |

=================================================================

At the first of this area go forward and you will then come to a new
green door within it you'll find your first Battle-Type I.D.

-------------------------------------------
Innocent Devil #2 (Battle-Type) Magnard |
Level: 1 |
Abilities: Aura Blast |
===========================================

Afer that is done, leave the room. You will then be abused by
Fenrirs and Lizardmen. These guys should pose no problem for you.
Also here's a little BATTLE TIP: You can do chain attacks with
your Battle-Type I.D. When you see the word "Chain" appear hit
the regular attack button or the finisher button, this will make
the Battle-Type I.D. disappear and reappear in front of Hector.
This will cause extra damage! Also if timed correctly
chain attacks will add special effects! Neat, eh?

Okay, let us carry on. After your slaughter fest is finished.
Continue going straight then take a sharp left and go straight.
You will then have the stupid Lizardmen running towards you. Just
take 'em out and enter the door way. In this part you'll face
Fenrirs, and a few Skeletons which shouldn't pose too much of a
problem. Now you have two choices here, You can either go:
1. Straight or 2. Head to the door way on the right.

But it's totally up to you because, we're going to get something
really nifty in a minute. But if you want extra map presentege
then this is the best thing to do. So make a quick right into that
door way. In this part you'll hear a door lock, and see monsters
appear. Just take 'em out and continue going straight and enter
the next door way.

...Say, isn't...wait, aren't we outside? Are there any door ways?
What the heck man?! Them crazy Konami's! Anyways just head straight
and you'll see a door that is closed off. That door is where we
don't want to go into yet instead, we will want to go to the door on
the left. Pick up the green money bag on the ledge (double jump up
there to get it.) And you'll also see a door on the left side of
this area. Kill all the Skeletons and walk towards the door you
will have a face off with a Clycops which should pose no problem
in this next room you will have obtain Prefect-Guard.

Perfect-Guard is an ability if you time correctly when you guard
a monster's special move Hector and the monster will flash. This
will allow you to regain to Hearts back for I.D's.

After that back track all the way to the area before the area
with the room that leads to the perfect-guard. Do you see them
last two parts that we didn't go to on the map? That is kinda of a
circle path. So just follow it around then to that entrance way on
the map.

In this area a scene will come in. And you will meet Julia. Now
there are a few reasons why I enjoy this area of the game: 1. No
monsters, 2: There is a Warp Room. (That yellow door which is
right in front of you as you entered the area.) As you enter the
room you will notice that the warp room isn't active yet. You will
activate it soon enough. But remember these rooms are marked as
green rooms on the map. These are also rooms are very vital, so
that you don't need to back track in very huge areas. They will
allow you to warp to another area of your choosing. Anyways,
as you leave the area pick up the potion by that stone building.
Also go up to the door and try to open it.

But as you try to open the door, it seems you cannot open it yet.
Remember this area, for we will be back later. You now have no
other choice but to venture towards the new door way which is
right in front of that very building. In this area you will pick
up a Magical Ticket which will allow you to warp right to Julia's
shop. There is also a save room on the right, so take advantage
of that as well! Once entering Julia's house, you've now have
accesses to a shop.

There really isn't honestly anything good to buy in the shop
besides Potions, High Potions, Serums, and Uncurse potions, and a
Death Doll. The rest of the items within this shop are useless.
But the main good thing about this shop is that you can give her
your Innocent Devil's to care for. So that when your demons spawn
Devil Shards (eggs) to make new demons you can bring them here to
hatch them, and take care of them. Also within her shop you will
find a Rocking Chair and a Map of the area. So sit on the chair
and then leave.

That shop was stupid, wasn't it? Yeah I know... Upon leaving the
shop, it's time to move on. Make a left (or north on the map if
in fixed mode) into the new area. Now that we have the map for
the area, it makes things a lot more easier for this walkthrough!
Anyways you'll find the steal skill right by the entrance into
the next part of the area. In this part you'll get rushed by two
Axe Knights. Next head up the stairs, and kill the Wizard.
Continue going up the stairs and kill the other two Axe Knights,
and Wizards and move on.

So take your time, or just slaughter them! Also make sure you kill
the Skeleton who is shooting the cannon at you. After that sit
down on the cannon and take the two out on the left and right,
then take down the barrier that is blocking your route. After
killing the cannon squad, and the orcs, four Axe Knights will
appear (I told you things will be getting challenging!) Split
up all the Axe Knights and attack them. Using your Magnard's
Aura Blast helps too! After that fierce battle head inside the
door.

In the next area you'll here another door shut off, it's time to
kill some baddies! Now in this room you'll be greeted by a few
Axe Knights. Take this time to steal some items from them. (Lock
on them until the icon turns purple [or pink I think...] and press
the square button. After the battle, again move on into the next
area. Continue going straight and right. There will be a save room
on the right wall. After that go up to the Orcs who are firing
arrows, and a Skeleton Blazer. After that keep going forward,
killing off the Skeleton Blazers and go into the next area.

In the next area you'll here another door shuts off, it's time to
kill some baddies! In this area keep going up until you see a lot
of Orcs, you will also be greeting by them damned Skeleton Blazers
again. By now one of your Innocent Devils will/might have evolved.
Anyways move on to the next area - Now, in this area we're gonna
go up the hill where we'll meet a one eyed, one horned, giant
purple people eater. Just bash him away! And again another.
After that, move into the next area and kill the next baddies.
You will then come up to Blood Skeletons, as you try to kill them
(well any CV vet knows this) that they come back to life, and
barred door wont open. Remember this area, because we will be
coming back here later. So in the mean time back track to the
hill where you met that one eyed, one horned giant purple people
eater and go into that next section. Keep going killing off
baddies (check the map if you get lost.)

In the next area you'll here another door shut off, it's time to
kill some baddies!

In this next area you will be a huge waterfall, and a bridge, just
cross it and go up to the chest and use your fairy to open it.
'Cause you'll be given the Innocent Devil chart that will map it's
abilities, progression, and status. After that enter the next area,
and take out the new baddies. Anyways take a left at this first
turn point and keep going forward, you'll be in a room with ghost.
Head up the stairs and double jump to reach a treasure chest to
obtain the Boiling Ring, which protects you against fire elemental
based attacks. *rolls a d20...*

In the next area you'll here another door shut off, it's time to
kill some baddies! After that, head off and head to the next set of
stairs. And as you guessed it, this area turns into another circle
path (two ways lead to the same area) so cover up them areas you
didn't explore and backtrack to where you just where. Now as you
try to enter the door to get to the area that which isn't covered
by the map you'll be ambushed by Efreets, these guys are easy,
just equip your boiling ring. After that go into the next section,
kill the baddies, and use the save point on the left wall because
it's almost time for a boss. From the save point go left
(or west on your map if in fixed mode.) When you hit the next
door it will lock and an Efreet will appear, just take him down
 with sheer ease and continue.

In the next area you'll here another door shut off, it's time to
kill some baddies! Once in the next section kill off the Lizardmen
and continue going straight until you find the Boss Chamber.
Inside you'll face your second boss.

------------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Wyvern |
Level 14: |
Steal: Shortcake |
                                                                  |
This boss is actually what it name applies to. It's a big giant |
dragon. Anyways, it's time to bash his head in. Waryvern has a |
few attacks to note. When you get close to him he will swing his |
tail if you are behind him. Just quick-step it, or jump. He will |
also bash his head into the ground, again quick step this if you |
are in front of him, but don't fear this attack for his head will |
be in the ground for a few seconds, which will lead him open to |
attack. He will also fly up into the air and slam his body back |
onto the ground for a flash field damage attack. (so jump over |
the| force wave when he hits the ground.) He will also fly a |
round and breathe fire at you. |
                                                                  |
Use your Battle I.D. to attack him, and your Fairy I.D. to heal if|
needed. |
------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle goto the healing point, then goto the last save
point. After that head into the next area...

=================================================================|

Welcome to the third area! As soon as you arrive, go straight and
kill off the Skeletons that come near you, and enter the next room.
Continue going straight killing off the Skeletons and Orcs that
are in your path, and enter the next room.

In the next room you'll hear the door lock off and you'll be
greeted by a mob of monsters. Explore this somewhat huge area. If
your curious what that huge tower is in the center of this room,
that is the Tower of Evermore, we'll talk about that tower later
on. Now enter the door that is on the west side of the room.

In this room a scene will happen and you will meet Saint Germain,
who is a very strange man indeed. Thus - it's time to continue
onward into the darkness. If you check your map you will find
three ways to go. For now head right until you come to a wall, on
the right side you'll notice the wall is cracked. Break it open by
hitting it with your sword to find your first HP Max Up. Now
venture to the right side of the temple entrance you will then
find a magical ticket. Now head into the temple.

For now just continue going north into the next room. As you enter
some Bone Soldiers, and an Ogre will crash through the glass. You
know what to do. Continue heading straight until you get all the
map parts in this particular section. Now return to where you just
saw two doors. One of the left, and one on the Right (or vise versa
if you are turned around; on the west and south side.) Go inside
the west door.

In this room you will be attacked by Fleamen. But don't let them
bother you, just keep killing them and continue to go straight.
Once you have come to a turning point, continue going west. Go
straight into the next room to find some ghost. Go into the room
on the left Inside you'll hear the door lock, and another batch of
enemies will come fourth from Hell. Just take 'em out with sheer
ease. After the battle grab the magical ticket and leave the room.
After that go left (north on the map) and continue forward to pick
up an uncurse potion, after that back track to where you first
turned to get into this area. And explore that other path which
we didn't go down.

Upon entering the next room go into th room on the right side. In
this room you'll be greeted by some Axe Knights, just take 'em out
and grab the potion in the room, then leave, after that go north.
You will then be greeted by an Axe Knight, after that little
battle go left to find your first save point in this area.

From the save point (go north if the map is in fixed mode) until
you are in a room with Fleamen. On the east wall (right side) there
will be a door, enter it. In here you will be greeted by an Axe
Knight and some Fleamen, once you've taken care of them, grab the
area map, and leave.

From here go right and enter that door, now you'll have some more
of the map covered. Now return back where you came. Continue going
straight until you've find a cut off turn (north on the map) to the
right, head down that path and into the next room.

In this next hallway you'll encounter more Fleamen. Just kill them
off and continue going until you find a door on right, enter it,
it's another lock off room, just kill off the monsters in this
area. After the battle you'll notice there is a chest in here.
Use your Fairy I.D. to open it to obtain marker mode.

This skill is very important, we shall use it when we're finished
with this area. After this, leave the room. Now, we will want to
head back to that save point. (use your map if you don't remember
where it is.) Now, check your map and look where it says 2nd F.
Thats where we are going next.

Now that we're on the second floor, this area should be easy for
you. Continue going straight until you come to the door. Now, we
can either go left or right. It's your choice, since this part is
very small, just finish this whole area and then go back down
stairs and go back to the save point.

From the save point go into that door (not too far from it) that
we haven't been into. (it should lead into an unblue'd part of the
map.) From the door go right and kill off the Dead Fencer. After
that go into the right room which is full of Fleamen. After that
leave, and continue going into the next room.

In this next room you'll encounter Fenrirs, just go into the open
area, and kill them all. After that, leave this part, and
continue going straight until you see a door which is on the
left, go inside. Inside here, mark this room, because we will
return here later. After that, leave the room, and continue going
left then continue going right go into the next open area, after
you kill the Fenrirs go into the next room (on the east part of
the map.) After that return and continue to go straight unto the
next room.

In this next room kill off the enemies and go into the door on the
left wall. In this room another battle will happen. After the
battle open the chest to get the Ceremonial Tool. After that leave,
and go left into the next hallway. In this hallway, you'll
encounter Blaze Masters who drop Ancient Memories. So, if you have
any new items you wish to make, do so now! Anyways, continue going
straight into the next room.

Again, continue going straight, killing off the monsters until you
find a Save Point, use it. And then leave, and then go left and go
into the next room. Continue going straight until you come across
a fork in the path, either go left or right because both paths
lead to the same point.

Anyways in the next room you will meet a new enemy, called Phantom
Swords. Just kill 'em off 'cause they shouldn't pose much of a
threat. Keep going straight killing off the Phantom Swords until
you come to a save point on the right wall. Use it, and then
enter the Boss Chamber

Trevor doesn't pose much of a threat, plus you don't even have |
to take down his life bar that much. It's just mainly a story |
driven battle. Just dodge his moves, and attack him with your |
Battle I.D. and heal with your Fairy I.D. if you need to. |
-----------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle head to the healing point and then exit the room.
Continue going straight until you find a door on the right, go
inside, and move into the magical circle. This will allow your
Battle I.D. to learn Brute Force, which will allow you to open big
doors. Anyways, leave this room, and don't forget to pick up the
Magical Ticket on the right of you. Continue going right and until
you come to a door you can't open.

Use your Battle Type I.D's Brute Force ability and enter the next
room. Keep going down the hallway until you come to a door that is
Yellow, that is another Warp Room. Mark it, because we're not going
to use it just yet. Continue going down the hallway until you find
a door on the left side, go inside. In this section of the area,
you will fight Slogra's. They shouldn't pose too much of a threat.
Continue going straight to go down stairs.

In this area you will be attacked by Skeletons, and thief demons or
whatever, just kill them off and continue going forward. In the next
room you'll fight some more skeletons and some Wizards. And in the
next room you will face some Slogra's and Wizards, kill them off to
open the barred off door. In the next room you'll face Ectoplasm,
and a Lesser Demon. Kill 'em off, and keep going. In the next room
you'll face off some Slorgra's and some more Lesser Demons. Go
inside the next room you obtain the Sixth sense Brooch, which will
let you know when an enemy is going to attack. After that head back
up stairs.

Now that we're back upstairs, continue going straight and into the
other room (where the warp point is.) Then go left into the next
hallway that we didn't explore just yet. Continue going down the
new unexplored area and kill off the Thieves and into the next
room to Obtain a Sun Tear. After that return to the Warp Room
door, unmark it (by pressing the Triangle button.) And go inside.

Once inside you'll notice that Warp Rooms are now activated. Just
sit in the chair, and select Baljhet Mountains.

----------------------------------
D. Baljhet Mountains (Re-visted.)|
==================================

Now that we are back here, head to the save room and to the shop to
buy potions and such if you have the money. Other than that, you
remember that House looking thing with the door we couldn't open
that is right near the Warp Room? Go to that, and use Brute Force
to enter out next destination.

     mortvia_aqueduct.png |
================================================================

Welcome to the Mortvia Aqueduct. As soon as you enter the area a
cut scene will take place with Zead, and then Saint Germain. After
the scene continue forward and you will then be greeted by some
Mermenm, after that little battle head into the next room. Inside
you will be ambushed by more Merman, and some Bone Soldiers.
Anyways, take 'em down then leave then head into the next room on
the left. In the next area there will be more Merman. Anyways, do
not go left, because there really isn't a reason to go (unless
you're are worried about map coverage, because, these two parts
will take you to the same exact place!) So just head straight
into the next room and kill off the Mermen and then head right
into the next section. Now, keep going foward until you see a door
on the right, go inside, kill off the Mermen and Axe Knights I
there. Now go into the door that is facing west on the map
(fixed mode.)

In this next section, kill off the Mermen, and keep going forward
into the next room. In this room you will have obtained the area
Map. Now lets return back to where we where. Now, room that took
you to the other room that gave us the map, go right into the next
room, kill off the Bone Soldiers, and go into the next room. In
this part, kill off the Ectoplasm's, and Mermen, and then enter
the next room. In this next room, kill off the Bone Soldiers
and Ectoplasm's, and enter the next room.

From here go left down the stairs and into the next room. In this
huge room you will be shot at by more cannons. The cannon which
you can control is on the far-east side of the room. Kill off the
Bone Soldier controlling it, and then get in and destroy the
cannon that is firing at you. Now after you destroy the 1st
cannon tower, it's time to destroy another one to make a bridge.
Shoot the leaning tower's bottom part a few times to destroy it,
to make a bridge. After that, get off, kill whatever enemies that
are around you. Cross the bridge kill off the Bone Soldiers, and
you'll notice there is a part where you can't jump to because it
is too far.

Well that shouldn't bother you right now, mark this area because
we will come back here later. Don't forget to grab the $500 gold
below. After that, go into the new unexplored part of the map
(the new room.) In here you will find a save room on the right of
you. You will also be attacked by some Bone Soldiers, and some
Dark Warlocks or something.

(I would recommend you take out the enemies before using the Save
Point!)

Heading from the save point (straight) there is a door on the right
side of the room. Inside this next room will be Bone Soldiers, and
Dark Warlocks, other than that there is a door on the left side of
this room. In the next room make your way down the stairs to fight
some more Bone SOLDIERS. After the battle head upstairs
(on the right.)

Now that we are upstairs you will fight some Fishmen and some more
Dark Warlocks. After the battle go into the door on the left side
(from the entrance.) In the next hallway go up the stairs and kill
off the Frost Dragon in this room. And then head into the door on
the west part of the map (fixed mode.) Once inside the room, head
down the steps and kill the Frost Dragon on the right wall to
unlock the door on the left. After that, go into the left door.
In this next room there will be some Gaibon flying demons, kill
them off and enter the south door (on the map fixed mode.) In
this room, you'll face some Fishmen. Kill them off and then
head back down to the 1st floor.

In this other part of the 1st floor which we haven't covered, there
will be some fishmen. After the long lived battle (you can also try
and steal Aquamarine's from them to forge new weapons/armor!) go
into the north door. In this next room you will find Thief demons
and a potion, grab it if you need it. You'll also notice there is a
door we can't reach as of yet. Mark this room, and go back upstairs.
Now backtrack to the unexplored part of the map.

Anyways once here, the door will be locked off, creep around the
hallway and go down the steps to encounter some Blaze Masters,
just kill 'em off (Hip Force 2 works wonders here.) Anyways make
your way on the new set of steps and into the next room.

Now in this room you are probably wondering where the entrance to
the 3rd floor is. Hit that statue in the center of the room to
make a stair case.

On the 3rd floor you'll encounter some Blaze Masters, and some Dark
Warlocks just kill 'em off and enter the next room. In the next
room, you will encounter some Ghost, and more Blaze Masters.
After that, head into the next room.

...Do they ever stop coming? Sweet Jeebus, in this next room, there
will be MORE efin' Blaze Masters. Kill them off or try to steal
from them, and enter the next room. ...Go down the hallway into the
next room...

FINALLY! In this next room you will ENCOUNTER some new enemies.
Some Wolf Skeletons, after the battle, enter the next forsaken
hallway of darkness. Go down the hallway and into the next room.
In this room you will find some Wolf Skeletons, and a save point.

In the next room you will hear a door lock, for now do not worry
about it. Continue going straight into the next room. In the next
room you will encounter more Fishmen, after that, go downstairs
and kill more Fishmen. Anyways, in the next room, take out the
hoards of Fishmen to open up the locked door.

Anyways, after the door is unlocked and enter it (you should be now
going south.) In this next room you'll fight more Fishmen and a
Gaibon. After the short battle enter the door that is on the left.
Go down the hallway and take a left, go all the way down to fight
some more Fishmen. In the next room you will encounter the same ol'
mobs and some Frost Dragons. After the battle take new door to go
back down stairs. In this hallway, kill off the Fishmen and the
Frost Dragons then enter the door right ahead of you.

In this next section - ...what a minute, the music just stopped.
Something spooky is going on around here. Who we gonna call?
Not the Ghost Busters...

Anyways continue going foward until you find a set of stairs on the
right one leads to some water, the other leads to a beach so you
can get a potion if you need it. You will also find a Warp Room,
and a Save Room (use it;) in this area and right ahead of you is
the Boss Chamber. Go inside, and walk across the bridge and it
will crumble and Hector will fall. You then fight the
Skeleton Diver.

------------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Skeleton Diver |
Level: 24 |
Steal: Shushi |
                                                                  |
This boss is just a Skeleton with a spear while riding on some |
huge undead mutated fish. |
                                                                  |
He will start out by riding his fish, and throwing three spears |
at you. He will then jump off his huge mount fish and will start |
to attack you. Just use regular attack combos, and chain attacks |
with your battle I.D. His fish will also attack shooting a high |
energy water attack at you. After awhile he will jump back onto |
his fish. |
                                                                  |
And will probably jump back off. When he gets down to his yellow |
life bar, he will start to a few new moves. He will have his |
fish jump over the platform, so that he can throw down some |
spears with flames on them (this is when you will want to |
equip your boiling ring if you have it.) When he comes back on |
land, he will melee you, and his fish will also jump on the |
platform and will start biting either you or your Battle I.D. |
Just try to dodge the fish and work on fighting the Skeleton |
Diver. He will also ride his fish around firing spears at you. |
Use this time to attack him and dodge the spears. |
                                                                  |
After the battle you'll see him go back to the abyss, |
which he came! |
                                                                  |
                                                                  |
------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle goto the Healing Circle and then walk up the steps
don't forget to pick up the Spirt of Fuji. Continue walking until
you find a Green Door, inside you will obtain your Bird-Type I.D.

-------------------------------
Innocent Devil #3 (Bird-Type) |
Level: 1 |
Abilities: Glide. |
===============================

Anyways leave the room and go across the bridge, to get across the
gap use your Bird Type I.D's Glide ability. Now before we leave,
you're probably wondering why we can't explore the rest of the
area - it's due to water. We will come back here later.

Anyways go back to the save point and save.

Now, you remember the first place we marked? (The place where we
couldn't get across due to a huge gap?) Yeah, go there. Anyways,
fly across the gap, and use your Fairy to obtain a Brooch of
Bounds (which allows you to transfer your EXP to your I.D.'s so,
that they can greatly increase their levels faster!) After that
just use a Magical Ticket to teleport back to Julia's shop. Now,
return to the Teleporter room, and return to the Aqueduct.

Once you've returned, go and save your game. Upon coming out you'll
see a huge gap which you cannot get across by yourself. Use your
Crow's Glide ability. Once you reach the other side of the path,
continue foward and go into the cave on the left side to take you
to a new area of the game.

                                                     |
=====================================================

Upon you entering the new area you will see Zead and Saint Germain
fight, but whatever there fight is about, we'd better call in
Springer. After the whole fight scene (and of course finding out
that Zead and Saint Germain are enemies!) It's time to rock this
place up with more of a boom!

Continue going foward, killing off the Sniper Orcs and the Vassago.
Now, if you want you can either go right or straight. Either way,
it'll lead you to a place where there is a locked off door being
guarded by an Ogre (I think.) Defeat him, to unlock the door, and
go through.

Once in this next part of the area, go straight and kill off the
Bone Soldiers and Vassago's. Also there is a save point room here,
use it if you desire. Coming out from the Save Room, head right
killing off any Bone Soldiers and Vassago's that come your way.
Then go into the next part of the map. In this particular part you
can either go straight or right (depending on what you want to do.)
Either way they will take you the same spot (if you're a map
coverage freak like me, you'll go both ways!) Also, take out the
Assassin Zombies and Dark Warlocks.

Eventually you'll come to a path way that is locked off. Kill the
near by surrounding enemies in order to unlock it. Enter it, and
continue going straight killing off the Dark Warlock's, and Wolf
Skeletons. In the next area kill off the Cyclops thing and the
Dark Warlocks. Continue going down the path to find a map of
the area. Now head back to the doorway that leads to the left
Go down it, we'll worry about going straight later.

Upon entering this part Wolf Skeletons will run up at you and
attack you. Just kill 'em off and continue heading north (on the
map) until you come to a door way. (You know what to do.) Upon
entering this new section you'll hear a door that has been locked
off. Kill off the Basilisk to open it. Again another Basilisk will
come out (well, infact two!) Destroy them, and head up the stairs,
Watch out for the Thunder Dragon's. You will then come up to what
you would believe is a dead end. Infact, it's not! Destroy
the wall to reveal a secret passage.

In this room you will an Ectoplasm, just kill the little wuss off
and continue going straight. Inside you'll find a chest, open it
to obtain some Aquamarine which is used to forage weapons and
armor. Also, don't be fooled, in front of you lies another false
wall. Destroy it and continue to go foward. You have now discovered
a secret passage back to the Abandoned Castle! Anyways, return to
where you just came from.

Now head back to where the mobs of Wolf Skeletons are. Instead of
going back west we are going to go east. In this section you'll see
some Wolf Skeletons and some Thunder Dragons with a door blocked
off. For now kill the Thunder Dragons to unlock the doorway.
Continue going straight to find a Save Room.

From the save room go left. In this area you'll see a large tower
in front of you. This is the Tower of Eternity. In this area you'll
fight some Fire Demons(?) and some Bone-Dragons. Use your bird I.D.
on them. Anyways, don't bother going into the tower (we can do that
later.) Head back to the save room (if you need to replenish your
health.) Now look on the map and head south to the unexplored
section of the map. In this part you will encounter Bone Soldiers
and some Dark Warlocks. Continue straight down the path.

Just great! We've just come to a dead end. Well you're probably
wondering what we're suppose to do now? Just turn around and go
back? Well, it's completely up to you. Instead use the Hip Press
with your Battle I.D. He will litterly SMASH through the ground
to reveal a new path. Now head into it. Kill off all the Bone
Soldiers in the area along with the Dark Warlocks. (This is also
a good place to harvest crystals for some of your I.D.s (For
now anyways.) Continue down the hallway until you come to a
door at the end of the room. Go inside it to find two Red Ogres,
take care of them quickly. Then keep going until you come to
another door. Inside you'll find a chair and Carbon Steal.
Anyways go back to were you where. Kill off the Red Ogres
and Dark Warlocks, and leave the room. Go ahead and kill
off the monsters (since we're back in ths room) After you
kill every monster off head into door on the east side of
the wall.

In this room there will be some Red Ogres and some Dark Warlocks.
Kill them off to open up the door and continue down the new path
and enter the next door you see. In here you'll find some Ether.

Now that we have just done some item collecting check the map.
You see the grey map we didn't cover? Go there. Once there
keep going down the path and on the left wall you'll find
a teleportation room. Keep going down into the next room. In
here you'll fight some Lizard Men. They shouldn't be too much
of a problem. Keep going until you find a save room on the
right. Next head into the door (which was in front of you
when you found the save room.) In this next room you'll face
some more baddies. After the battle turn right from the door
you entered from. (at the end of this part there is a cracked
wall not too far from the next door.)

In here you'll face three Great Armors. After the battle enter
the first door you see to find an Absolute Zero Ring which will
protect you from Ice based attacks! Anyways leave this room and
go down to the door that leads to the grey unexplored section
of the map. In this room you'll face off Orcs and Lizard Men.

Now there are two doors within this part. You can either go
straight to the Unexplored section or use the 2nd door going
north. Anyways you'll want to mark this room. You need the
Battle I.D's Iytei's Shoulder Ride skill to destroy the
statues blocking your path. Anyways keep going down the
unexplored section of the map killing off enemies in your
way. You will also find a save room near by. Keep going
straight to find the boos room.

- Boss - Minotaurus |

                                                                |
This has to got to be one of my most favorite bosses in this |
game. Why? Because the dude is litterly huge! Plus, he uses |
a pillar as a baseball bat! But it's honestly a really easy |
battle. Just dodge his attacks and use your Battle Type I.D. |
And use the Fairy I.D. to heal yourself if you need to. |
                                                                |
After the battle the foul creator will turn to stone and fall |
and crumble away! |
----------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways, head into the healing circle and then go back to the save
point.

     cordova_town.png |
==============================================================

Now this has to be my most favorite place in the entire game. For
that matter, lets continue on our quest. Continue foward killing
of the local Zombies. Now, you gotta choice, you can either go
left or right. So for now let us go right. Continue down the
alley way killing off the Zombies. You will then find a door
with a small crack under it. Inside there is a max up.

Mark this particular door and continue down into the next section
of the map. In this part you can either go left or right. Instead
lets go Left. Ignore the first door you see and keep going
straight into the next room. (also if you want map coverage you
should see a doorway on the left of you, this leads to the other
part of the area you first started at.)

Now if that last sentence confused you, I was referring to rooms 1.
You should get to room 5 (on the map.) next. Once there keep going
straight. Also don't forget to pick up area map in room 5. Anyways
keep going on the same path until you see a Warp room on the left.
Go inside for map coverage then leave and continue going straight
until you come to....

...Wha....what the hell just happened? I don't think we're in
Transylvania anymore Crimson (that was the name of my I.D. heh!)
Actually we are now in a very strange room, if you look around you
will see a lot of chairs. Anyways, now that we visted this room.
It's time to continue our quest. Go back to the first circular
room we entered and keep going straight. Ignore the unexplored
sections for now. And go into the first door you do see. When you
enter keep going straight killing off the baddies. As you kind
figured (if you look on the map.) The two unexplored sections
take you to the same alleyway. If you want, just goto the
unexplored parts for map coverage.

Anyways go into the next room (of the unexplored map) and continue
going straight. You'll be ambushed by Dead Fencers. But they
really shouldn't pose too much of a problem. Keep going straight
or just go into the left doorway. Each way takes you to the same
place. (go both ways if you want that map coverage.) Now as soon
as you come into the new area all the doors will be blocked off.
Just kill the local monsters and use the save room. From the
save room continue down the alley into the next section of the
map. Kill off the lizard type dudes in this area. Keep going
until you hear the doors get blocked off. Fight the local
monsters. In the next room kill off the ghouls. In the
next kill the ghoul frenzy. In the next room you'll fight some
Assassin Zombies. Keep going until you have come to two pathways.
For now take the left path way. Kill off the baddies then enter
the next room. In here you'll find a Skeleton rider. Destroy
him to open the next door way. Continue going to through the next
sections of the maps until you reach a room with two big bad boys.
Take 'em out with pure shed of easiness. You will also find a
bench here that you can lay down on.

Now you'll find another room that leads to a basement. This
particular passage will lead you back to the Aqueduct. You'll
also find a treasure chest here. In it you will obtain the Wind
Ring. Anyways now that you're done here head back to the town and
head for the now unexplored section.

In this next section the doors will be locked off and you will
encounter Lizard Shamans. Easily take them down and continue to go
straight. In the next section you will not have to worry about any
enemy encounters. Just keep going straight. In the next section
you'll fight Skeleton Riders and the doors will be blocked off.
Anyways kill 'em off and head into the next room. Kill off the
next set of Skeleton Riders and then in the next room you will
face three Executioners. Also don't forget to grab the Ether.
You will also see another door that is slightly open. Mark this
door. In the next area you'll find a teleport room. In the other
you'll find a save room near the boss door.

------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Isaac & Abel |
Level: 34 |
Steal: Devil's Vain |
                                                            |
Fighting Isaac has to be one of my most favorite boss |
battles in this game. The music is awesome too. Anyways |
at the start of the battle Isaac will be fighting along |
side with his I.D. known as Abel. Anyways this battle |
can be extremely hectic at points because you not only |
have to worry about Isaac, but his demon as well. The |
trick is to pay attention to Isaac Instead of the demon. |
                                                            |
Let your I.D. do the most of the attacking on the twosome. |
Now Isaac has the same abilities (dodging) wise as Hector. |
So he will move around a lot. The thing is you don not have |
to worry about Isaac's attacks. You must worry about ABEL's.|
                                                            |
When Isaac shouts the word "Kill" he will burrow himself |
under ground and then come up under you and explode. And |
when he shouts "GO!" The demon will smash into you and |
attack with regular attacks. Also, don't let his taunts |
bother you too much. The trick to this battle is quick |
reflex time (so I hope you know how to dodge and block by |
this time.) |
                                                            |
Also if you upgraded your demon to Speed-Mail Heavenly |
Sword works very well in this battle. |
                                                            |
When to steal: The trick to stealing Devil's Vain is really |
tricky. You must watch him wait to do an uppercut attack |
(I think) that is when you will be able to steal from him |
but do it very quickly. He also does this attack at the |
start of the battle. |
============================================================

After the battle another scene will take place. It seems that
Julia is Isaac's sister. Anyways, after the scene head into
the HP tile thingy... Anyways if you want, head back to the
save room and save. (I'd recommend it.) Anyways go back to where
you saw the HP refiller and you'll find a door which leads to
a new Battle I.D.

-------------------------------
Innocent Devil #4 (Mage-Type) |
Level: 1 |
Abilities: Time Stop |
===============================

Anyways it's about time we got a new I.D. Anyways, leave the room
and go left into the next sections You'll Eventually goto this
weird place with candles. As you notice when you walk towards
the door the candles will blow out and the candles will blow out.
Leave and return into this room and use Time Stop.

Time Stop allows everything to stop instantly so that you can get
into the next area.

=========================================================

As soon as you start here go straight and turn left kill off the
Orcs to enter the next room. In this next room you will hear the
doors lock off and the battle music que. You should know what to
do. After the battle head into the door located on the right. Go
down the hallway and kill off the next set of monsters then enter
the door.

Kill off the Orcs in this hallway. You will then come to a room
that is empty. Use the switch located on the right of you. Now
once you've activated the switch, a set of stairs will be revealed.
There is also a time limit. (About 3 seconds.) Just use the Mage
I.D's Time Stop ability to gain access up the stairs. Now head
into the door. Head up the stairs and kill off the two monsters
to open up the next door. You should know what to do after you
killed 'em.

Continue down the hallway killing off the two monsters. In the next
room you'll face off with an Executioner. After you kill him these
Lizard Type monsters will appear and so will another one. Anyways,
after the battle you can use either door to get to the next
location which should lead you to a save point. (I'd do it for
map coverage.)

Note: Also don't forget to pick up the Tower Map in
one of the other rooms (I forgot which one.)

Now from the save point (if you saved) head right into the next
section. Kill the baddies in here and proceed on. You will
then come a room with Flame Demons and Undead lords. Proceed
into the next hallway and take a left at the turn. Kill off
the Undead Lords and go into the next room. Inside you'll
witness a short video of gears being turned. Defeat all
the monsters in this room and hit any gear to make the
elevator go up.

Once you've taken it as far as it can go you will now be on the 2nd
floor. Leave this room Continue down the hallway and look for a
breakable wall. You will find a Purity Ring which will protect you
against the effects of poison.

In the next section you'll be outside of the tower. You will also
encounter a Harpy. Anyways continue until you find a door for the
next section. In this section you'll fight two harpy's. Move on
to the next room. In this particular area there are two ways to
get upstairs. But you can't seem to go the other way due to not
being able to get through the wall. Also there is a warp room
here.

Head into the next room. This room is another gear room. But this
time you'll be around Death Rippers. Use the same tactic as before
to get to use the Elevator. If you're having trouble here I
recommend using the Scissor Rod's Floating B ability.

Anyways once we are on the 3rd floor. Just go through the sections
until you have reach a gear room. The trick in this room is that
you must find a particular switch to gain entrance to the next
area. Now if you cannot find this switch, it is one of the
rotating gears at the top. If you hit the right gear it'll
cause a chain reaction and bust open a wall to your next
destination. Take that hallway into the next room. Here
you'll find a save room on the left. I suggest you use it.
From the Save point I suggest you go up to the 4th Floor and
into the Boss chamber.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Saint Germain |
Level: 34 |
Steal: Immortal Fragment |
                                                                   |
This Boss battle can be somewhat difficult if you do not know what |
to do. Saint Germain has the ability to manipulate time and space |
itself. |
                                                                   |
He is able to disappear and reappear at any given moment. He will |
attack with his sword and once in a while he will do a Poison |
attack with his sword. If you picked up that Purity Ring that I |
told you about, you should have no problem with the poison effect. |
                                                                   |
Now he can also freeze time itself. The trick here is to use your |
own Mage's ability "Time Stop" which will break the time freeze. |
Also when he does this you can steal the Immortal Fragment from |
him (if you counter Time stop fast enough and steal fast enough.) |
                                                                   |
Now when you got him to his Yellow Life meter he will then use a |
move to speed up time. This can be countered with Time Stop. |
Which will make not use the attack anymore. |
                                                                   |
Once you have drained his all his life he will now reverse Time |
itself to regain his yellow life meter. Now this time he will |
have a new attack. He will be using his gun, which cannot be |
blocked. You will get hinted when he uses this particular |
attack when he screams "Here we go!" |
                                                                   |
Anyways, follow the same tactics as before. He really shouldn't be |
that much of a problem. |
                                                                   |
-------------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle head into the next door. In this next room you'll
find an I.D. door. Go inside to claim your new I.D.
------------------------------
Innocent Devil #5 (Devil-Type)|
Level: 1 |
Ability: Magic Circle. |
==============================

Anyways after you've obtained your new I.D. Leave the current room.
Anyways, enter the door on the right. Kill off the Necromancers
and you will come to a wall with a crack below it. Use the Magic
Circle ability here. In this next room you will face some
Necromancers (don't forget to pick up the Earth Ring here.) After
that, head to the 2nd floor. In this room you'll face some Fencer
dudes, go into the next room and use the Devil's ability to get
under the wall in the next area you'll find more Fencers or
Necromancers (I really don't remember.) Anyways you'll find a
magic circle wall on the right of you. Go inside the next room
kill off the Necromancers and look for another magic circle wall.
It will Eventually lead you to a room with the Sacrifice Brooch.
Anyways leave the room. Your objective now is to get back to
Cordova Town and head to the place we marked.

Once back there (I suggest using the warp room because it's so much
faster.) Use your Fairy I.D. to open the chest which holds:
Damascus Steel. Anyways, head into the next door which will lead
you to a new area.

=========================================================

This area is very straight foward. But this is also an excellent
place to learn new I.D. abilities. Anyways just follow through
the paths until you come to your first save room. But beware: Some
of the monsters here are no push-overs. Anyways from the save room
head right into the next section of the map.

In this next particular room you'll be in an open area. First get
rid of the Undead Lord controlling the cannon Tarrant. Now the trick
is, is to take out the current Enemy in the area. But I suggest
getting rid of the cannon towers first. After you take them out,
take out the enemy then take out the gate thingy that is blocking
your way.

But, before you go into the next section there is a breakable wall
on the west wall. But you'll want to use the Cannon to make it
appear. This particular item is an Innocent Support which lessens
the heart usage. (a really nifty item indeed!) Anyways, move onto
the next section of the map. In this section you'll face some
Undead Lords and an Undead Trooper. Be extremely careful of the
Undead Trooper, for his charge attack can be somewhat of an anus.
In this next room you'll face two Undead troopers then three. Just
kill 'em off and enter the next room. Go down the hallway killing
off the Vessegos (I think thats what they are called.) And into
the next. Here you'll face some Flame Lords and them god awful
KKK members (No offense to anyone!) Anyways keep going all the
way around until you have reached a save room. From the save
room head straight into the next section. In this room you'll
fight a Slogra and some Wights. After you have killed them you
will face some Fishmen. Ignore the door for now and go into the
cave like entrance. Follow the hallway and go into the next door.
In this room you'll fight some Great Armors. There is a warp room
here. Coming from the Warp Room (if you entered it) Go into the
door on the left wall. You will notice that it is covered with
vains. Use your Mage I.D.'s fire spell to destroy it.

Enter the door. Both paths in this area will lead to a few goodies
and two chairs. A leather chair, and a Hilarious Cushion. You'll
also find Frenzy of the Wind, Damascus Steel, and an HP Up. Now
head back to the other room and go into the door that we ignored.

*Note Come back to here later.*
In this room there will be a few Bone Dragons and a Slogra. Kill
'em off and goto the next room. In this room you'll find no
monsters. But there is a switch here. If you have the Probocis
Fairy type she and use her skill she can open up the new path.
If you don't, just ignore this place for now.
*Note Come back to here later.*

Follow the into this hallway and you'll fight some Fishmen and some
more Bone Dragon types. Goto the first door you see and go inside
to find some Spirit of Fuji and a cracked wall which will lead
you to the Abandoned Castle. (To open the path to it you must
break open the cracked wall in front of you.) Return to the path
come to and follow it and that will Eventually lead you to a Save
Room. Once you're done with the saved room go into the next door
for a movie scene and you'll Eventually end up back at the
Abandoned Castle.

==========================================================

You'll have arrived at the 3rd floor. Head up to the fourth floor
and use the save room. Head into the Boss Chamber, and head up
the stairway which is located on the right.

------------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Trevor Belmont |
Level: 40 |
Steal: Curry |
                                                                  |
                                                                  |
This battle is basically the same as the first battle. Except |
Trevor has a a few new moves and has a shield. When he puts up |
the shield wait until he finishes a combo. After the combo that |
is your opportunity to attack him. Also be careful he does a few |
new moves. He can also throw axes, holywater and do the cross |
item crash (the thing that Leon Belmont did.) |
                                                                  |
Also when he does his item crash with the cross, that is when you |
can steal the Curry from him. on |
                                                                  |
After you've finished the boss fight, you will be taken to the |
Infinite Corridor. I suggest you use the healing point in it, |
but go back to The Abandoned Castle to save. |

========================================================

At the start of this area you'll be in a room with no enemies. Upon
entering the next room and going down the long bridge you'll notice
how weird the stage really is. You will also encounter Spirits.
You can either fight them off and continue down the long passage
into the next room. In the next room you'll fight some Final Guards
and some Spirits. Head up to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor you'll
face a Final Guard and some Undead Lords. After the battle enter
the next room. In this next area you'll fight some more baddies.
Go into the next room for an undead frenzy! After THAT battle
head into the next room.

In this room you'll find a Save Room. I suggest using it. Because
this place will become somewhat difficult. In the next room you'll
fight some Phantom Blazers. You will also come to two doors, but
which one to take? Either way, you'll come to the same area.
Anyways continue on the bridge into the next room (ignoring the
spirits if you want to.) In the next room kill off the baddies
and enter the next room.

Continue all the way until you reach the 1st floor. Once back the
first floor you will come into a room with Unicorns and White
Dragons. After you kill 'em off head into the next room. In this
room head all the way until you come to the 3rd floor.

Once on the 3rd floor the room will be locked up and you will have
to fight your way through. After the battle cross the Corridor
either killing off the Ectopalsms and Lightning Dragons to come to
a room with a chair. Sit on it to come to a room with Treasure
Chest. You'll get: Adamantine, Ceremonial Tool, Ether, Carbon
Steel, Spirit of Fuji, Dark Crystal, Holy Man's Vein, and
Forgotten Memory. After you are done, sit back on the chair to
go down. You will also find a warp room in this room. So use it
if you need to. Anyways enter the next room. In this room take
out the Thunder Dragons and Wights and continue to the next
room. In this room there are three doors. Two of which lead you
to a few goodies (but you need certain I.D. abilities to get
there.) On the north side (if your map is in fixed mode) you
need to use the Wingosaurus' Long Glide ability. On the south
side you need to use the Juggernaught's Lvl 2 Brute Force ability.

Thats if you want to get the goodies. But if you don't continue
east until you come to a room where there are skulls blocking
your way. You will notice when you hit them they keep coming down.
Use the Mage's Time Stop Ability here. Now keep going until you
reach the 2nd floor. On this floor continue until you've come to a
Save Room and a boss room.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss - Dullahan |
Level: 49 |
Steal: Purple Glitter |
                                                                 |
This boss can be a real pain. Why? Because he can hit extremely |
hard. (He did 66 DMG to me and my defense is 94. And I was at |
level 56!) He is also extremely quick so be very careful. |
                                                                 |
At the beginning of the battle he will jump. And that is your |
que to do a double jump. Because if you don't you will be hit |
by his shockwave when he hits the ground. |
                                                                 |
The object to winning this fight is knowing his moves. So |
basically when he jumps, jump. When he raises his sword upside |
down he will do a area of affect attack (around him) And when |
he points his sword around you he will shoot a laser beam and |
spin around in a circle. To avoid this attack just simply |
jump over the beams quickly enough. |
                                                                 |
The rest of this battle is mainly trial/error. So I hope you got |
good finger mashing skills when it comes to dodging. But |
honestly, this boss never really posed a threat to me. |
                                                                 |
                                                                 |
You're probably thinking what Innocent Devil to use. Well I used |
The End innocent devil on him (but he's not needed. Unless |
you want to take a time out from the game and collect some items |
like I did.) Also Corpsey works well here as well. |
-----------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle another scene will take place and Dracula's Castle
will be resurrected. And you will find yourself at the Mortiva
Aqueducts. Use the save point and head straight to Dracula's Castle.
Or use this time to gain map coverage for many new areas have been
open to you. So if you want go check out the areas that I made you
marked on the maps.

Anyways onto Dracula's Castle. Stroll along the bridge until you
come to a huge door. Use your Battle I.D's Brute Force (lvl 1)
to open this door.

This place is kinda huge so you might get lost at first. So please
follow my directions in this area very carefully. First head
straight up the stairway and fight off the Slogra. Next enter the
door on the left of you. In the next room kill off the Slogra and
head up the stairs on the left. Another Slogra should appear, kill
him off and go outside.

Go around the outside killing off the two Slogras and into the next
room. In this room Gaibon is waiting for you, quickly take care of
him and move foward and kill the other Gaibon. Head into the next
room and go straight into battle. After the battle head into the
next room. Kill the Rapid Orcs. In the next room you'll fight a
Red Ogre, quickly kill him off. Next find the other door and go
outside. In this area you'll fight some more orcs, kill them off
and head into the next room. Continue straight down this corridor

You will see a crack in the biding and three orcs guarding it.
Use your Bird I.D. to fly over the gap. Kill the Orcs and enter
the next room. In this room ignore the door on the right and
continue straight into the next room. Continue straight until you
come to a chair. Sit it and destroy the cracked wall behind it to
obtain a Medusa ring. Anyways backtrack to that other door. In
this room follow it until you've reached B1.

Once in B1 just head straight and use the save point. Now continue
along the basement until you reach F1. Once on F1 head into the
next room to fight some Vessagos. Head into the next room. Once in
the next room ignore the door in front of you and head down the
corridor and use you're Devil I.D.'s magic circle. Head up the
stairs and kill off the Efreets. Head into the next room and head
down the hallway. In this next room you'll fight some Jins. Leave
the room and go down the hallway and then go into the next room to
fight 2 Jins and Efreets.

After the battle leave the room into the new the doorway. In this
hallway you'll find a Save room. Now follow the hallways up to the
3rd floor.

Once at the 3rd floor kill the Ghouls and enter the next room.
Follow this floor all the way up to the fourth floor.

Once on the fourth floor leave the room (ignore the Death Rippers
if you want to.) and follow the hallway until you come to a room
full of Ogres and Death Rippers, just kill 'em off with pure ease.
After that battle you'll come to a save room in the next hallway.
So use it!

Continue down the unexplored path until you have reached the 5th
floor. Once you have came to the fifth floor you will fight some
Anduscies. After you kill them off the door will be unlocked, so
move in. If you're low on health, I recommend breezing by the other
monsters in the other rooms. If not, well...you know what to do.
After you've reached the Fourth floor you are going to take out
some Final Guards and some Executioners. After taking them out
follow the rooms all the way up to 6 floor.

Use the healing circle and then proceed kill off the monsters you
see and continue going straight until you come to a wall with a
crack under it. Use the Demon I.D. to get in you will then come to
an I.D. room. And the strange thing is that there are Pumpkins all
over the place. This is a special room, so mark it and check the
Pumpkin I.D. side quest in the SQ section.

Anyways, follow the unexplored path to the 7th floor. Once at the
7th floor you will find a Teleportation room and a Save room. I
highly recommend using the Save Room on this level. Continue into
the next room and go across the stairwell until you have come to
the Boss chamber.

----------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss: Isaac - |
Level: 50 |
Steal: Cheese |
Isaac uses a different weapon this time. The layout battle is |
pretty much the same fight like the last besides him using |
ABEL. Just dodge his sword attacks and when he does not |
attack that is your chance to hit him. |
                                                                |
Once you have brought his damage down some he will then |
scream "Come fourth!" He will have summoned a Bird-Type |
Devil. Summon a bird type! Now this were the battle |
becomes a little bit hard. Because as of right now a |
white barrier has formed over Isaac which makes |
im invurnable to attacks. The trick is to kill off the |
aerial devil by locking onto it and giving it enough |
damage! Also be careful: Isaac can still attack you |
so dodge his attacks and try to hit the Bird-Type |
do half of the work. |
                                                                |
After you have taken the first Devil down he will then |
be open for attacks. Just attack him so more with your |
Battle-Type I.D. (Corpsey works wonders in this battle! |
He will then summon a Battle-Type devil before long. |
I highly suggest using Embryo Rod's Demonic Disaster |
to kill it in 1 hit. |
                                                                |
After that continue attacking him until he summons |
another Battle Type Devil. Just use the same method |
as before... Then summon The End if you have it to |
let him do the aggressive clean up. Continue attacking |
him until he is dead. |
----------------------------------------------------------------

After the big battle a scene will accrue. You will then soon find
out that Zead was all behind the ordeal plot to resurrect Count
Dracula. And that he is none other than Death himself. After the
scene you will then be forced into another boss battle without
saving. So if you wasted a good amount of healing items or your
Fairy I.D's hearts to heal then this battle is going to be a
tough one.

--------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss: Death - |
  Level: 51 |
  Steal: Death's Pulse. |
                                                              |
If you have good button mashing skills then Death should be |
nothing more than a cakewalk for you. If not then you might |
have a little bit of significant trouble. He will teleport |
around the room and has multiple attacks that he can easily |
use on you. |
                                                              |
But you can hit any part of his body to damage him so |
it really isn't that big of a deal. All you need to |
do is pay attention to his attacks and dodge and |
guard them. |
                                                              |
1. He will throw is scythe at you as it spins |
   dodge it. |
                                                              |
2. He will throw sickles at you; perfect or dodge |
                                                              |
3. He will melee you with his scythe if you are |
   close. |
                                                              |
When you drop his life down to yellow he will then use a few |
new attacks. He will start throwing fire balls at you and he |
will then do his Big Bang attack which is somewhat impossible|
to dodge. But just continue attack him and you should be able |
to kill him off. |
--------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle head out into the next door and head into the save
room on the right. After you save check your supplies. If you need
any potions I suggest getting some right a way. Because we're about
ready to fight another boss. Once you have got everything that you
have needed. (Supplies, popper I.D's that you think will work...
.Etc.) You can head into the boss Chamber on the upper floor.

In this room a cut scene will be shown of Hector and Dracula. This
is the final show down my friend. Welcome to the End game. Do you
think you have what it takes to beat Dracula? Dracula says You
a FOO!

----------------------------------------------------------------
- Boss: Dracula - |
  Level: ????? |
Steal: Tomato Juice (1st form) Vampire Blood (2nd form) |
                                                                |
                                                                |
The battle begins just like any typical Dracula fight. He will |
simply vanish into thin air and then appear in random spots in |
the area. Just jump up and attack his head. Corspey is wonder- |
-ful for this battle because he will take sheer aggression out |
on him. The End will also work as well. Just remember to heal |
with your Fairy I.D. and make full use of the potions. |
                                                                |
His first attack he will hover above the ground and shoot out |
a laser. He will then hit random parts of the ground which |
will scourge it with a yellow line. Step far away from these |
lines as they will engulf in flames. |
                                                                |
Another attack he shout "I will reduce you to ashes!" He |
will then disappear really quickly. Just do a quick step |
right when he disappear. If you do not he will grab a hold |
of you and suck your blood. This will also make him regain |
his HP. |
                                                                |
Another attack he will use he will shoot out purple orbs |
He will scream "Scatter/Shatter to the Wind!" they will |
then explode. |
                                                                |
Once he is down to his yellow life bar He will make |
spikes follow you around. Just quickly run away from |
them. |
                                                                |
Another attack he will do is he will levitate into |
the air and will cause a big burst attack in his |
radius. Quickly run away from him when he does this. |
                                                                |
After you reduce all his HP he will change his form |
so we're ready for a whole new set of moves and such. |
Dracula this time is much bigger and there really |
isn't any where we can run! So anyways. |
                                                                |
Just dodge his attacks. I wont spoil the rest of |
the fight for you. |
----------------------------------------------------------------

After the battle enjoy the ending. Congratulations
you have beaten Castlevania: Curse of Darkness!

|6. Innocent Devil FAQ|
 ---------------------

- S. Introduction -
--------------------

By now or by the time you read this you have already compeleted the
game. And chances are you are curious of what each Innocent Devil
forms are and what their properties are. But if you want a better
explanation on this new system that Konami gives us then look no
further. (If you are reading this to find out more information
about the I.D. system and what I.D.'s are please do not skip
this.)

Innocent Devil, or I.D. is created by Devil-Forging in which our
main character, Hector can do. In a storyline sense this is a
partiular ability which allows our character to conjure demons
from the nine planes of Hell. Or other words the use of Alchemy.
But these particular Devils are not to be used for Evil. Insted,
Hector uses the Demons for the use of Good. So that is why they
are called Innocent Devil's (or I.D. for short.) Anyways, do
you remember the game Pokemon that was created by Nintendo back in
'95/96 [if I remember correctly (please anyone correct me if I am
wrong!)] Well think of this game as an another form of Pokemon,
just with raising demons!

In game you are given Six demonic types. Using each type depends on
the type of situation you are given. But the Demonic Types are as
listed as followed.

Fairy Types: Each are used to cure your wounds or, your status.
As well as inflicting status alignment. They also
             open treasure chest.

Battle Type: These are pretty much your meatwagons of the game.
They are primarily used to attack big groups of
in coming monsters. They also use a verity of
attacks such as slaming onto the ground to not
only stunning/paralyzing your enemies but also
a good amount of damage. They are best used for
big groups of ground enemies. They are also used
to open big doors you normally cannot open!

Bird Type: Bird Type I.D's are best used for aerial combat
when it is needed. They also can be used to
attack ground units when you upper-cut them
into mid air. They also drop bombs to slaughter
house the place. They also come with a verity
of long ranged attacks! They also can help you
get across certain gaps that you normally
           cannot jump across.

Mage Type: These bad boys may be very weak, but their magic surely
can pack a punch! These guys can handle diffrent
elemental attacks. Hey and if you want to clear a room
Use the Salamander ability! These guys can also banish
undead (with the right I.D. form) They also have another
important ability and that is to stop Time itself!

Devil Type: Devil Type is mainly sort of a plot decieve. But to
be honest with you this particular I.D. does have it
nicer quilities. This Demon type is more agressive
than the Battle Type. So if you want a quicker clean
            up... Well you'll see!

Pumpkin Type: This little guy can only be gained by a side quest
(see above.) He isn't really ment to do anything
but be cute. But there is one thing good about
him. And that is his status abilities.

- T. Devil Forging -
---------------------

Devil Forging starts with an Egg dropped by your I.D. This can
happen at anytime. One I.D. May drop many more than another I.D
type. But the Eggs serve for two purposes: 1. You can sell them.
for good money or 2. You can use them to hatch new I.D.'s.

So if you want to see every type of I.D. and what their
abilities are this what you need to do. But I really don't know
the chances for Eggs to drop. (If anyone has any idea please
tell me of this.) Also later after any of your I.D.'s hit
level 30 your Eggs will start to gain special status bonuses, so
if you want to make some really strong demons keep growing new
Generations after another.

For example A Second Gernation Corpsey is stronger than a First
Generation Corpsey. So if you continue on doing this you will
gain REALLY SUPER POWERFUL demons!

Now when you want to hatch an Egg goto the story of Julia and
ask her to incubate a new Egg from a particular I.D type.

- Y. Fairy Type -
-----------------

This Innocent Devil is the first one you will gain at the start of
the game. And as you notice it will fly around Hector and it is
very small. The Fairy Innocent Devil is used for attacks in
general, but insted it is used for Curing your HP and certain
status deffects, such as Stone and Posion and Curse. They also
can cast status deffects towards either enemies such as Posion
but it does little to no damage. Insted the Fairy will be your
prime healer through out the adventure as you venture fourth
in Transylvania.

Also, be extrealy careful, because you must learn which Fairy
skill to use propperly in battle. And having the wrong fairy
in the wrong place at the wrong time can be drastic in battle
situations. So this is a particular key guide point for the
Fairy and who it works. Fairys are also key I.D's so that
you can open up chest and gain certain Map %.

Level 1
------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Instant Fairy |
Abilities: Unlock, Heal 1. |
Form: 1 |
                                                            |
This is the first Innocent Devil you obtain in the Abandoned|
Castle. She looks like a regular fairy except she is covered|
in Ice blue, and is very weak. She comes with the Unlock |
ability which allows you to open up chest. And can gain the |
Heal Level 1 ability which replaces a small amount of HP. |
                                                            |
Instant Fairy + 40 Red/Yellow Evo Crystals = Leaffle |
Instant Fiary + 40 Blue/Green/White Evo Crystals = Herbest |
------------------------------------------------------------
Level 2
------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Leaffle. |
Abilities: Time Heal, Posion Powder |
Form: 2 |
                                                            |
This is the the first of the 2nd level forms for the Fairy |
Innocent Devil. Leaffle sort of looks like an Elf with |
Dragon Fly wings. He really isn't that bad of an I.D. to |
have with his Time Heal ability, which can be very useful |
during tough battles. He also comes with Posion Powder |
which will Posion your foes, but does very little damage. |
But the cool thing about it is that it can stop an Enemy |
attacks for a short period of time. |
                                                            |
                                                            |
Leaffle + 70 Red/Green Evo Crystals = Killer Bee |
Leaffle + 70 Blue/Yellow/White Evo Crystals = Honey Bee |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Herbest |
Abilities: Antidote, Heal 2 |
Form: 2 |
                                                            |
Herbest is one of the second evuolutional forms of the |
fairy. He sorta takes out the Elf form, but with just |
regular fairy wings. He has the abilities of Antidote |
which can cure Posion. And comes with Heal Level 2 which |
can heal you somewhat more greatly than Heal Level 1. |
                                                            |
Herbest + 70 Red/Green Evo Crystals = Killer Bee |
Herbest + 70 Blue/Yellow/White Evo Crystals = Hornet |
------------------------------------------------------------
Level 3
------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Killer Bee |
Abilities: Heal 3, Curse Breaker |
Form: 3 |
                                                            |
Killer be looks like an alien not ment for this world! And |
did I mention it has blue hair?! Yeah... crazy! Killer Bee |
is one of the 3rd level forms for the fairy. It comes with |
Curse Braker which cures the Curse status. And comes with |
Heal Level 3 so that you can heal yourself more greater |
than Heal level 2! |
                                                            |
                                                            |
Killer Bee + 90 Blue/White Evo Crystals = Tiramisu |
Killer Be + 90 Red/Green/Yellow Evo Crystals = Tiara |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Honey Bee |
Abilities: Healing Field |
Form: 3 |
                                                            |
Honey Bee looks exactly like Killer Bee besides with Icey |
Blue hair! It's pretty useless because it only has one |
ability that is Healing Field. But I guess it can be good |
because I think it'll heal you to max HP. |
                                                            |
Honey Bee + 90 Red/Blue/Green/Yellow Evo Crystals = Tiramisu|
Honey Bee + 90 White Evo Crystals = Proboscis Fairy |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Hornet |
Abilities: Stone Breaker, Lucky Shot. |
Form: 3 |
                                                            |
Hornet looks exactly like Killer and Honey bee besides the |
fact that it comes with some one decent ability and that is |
its Stone Breaker Ability, which cures you from the status |
of Stone. It's Lucky shot, is kinda like a slot machine |
game, were it heals you. Kinda useless I might add. |
                                                            |
Hornet + 90 White/Yellow Evo Crystals = Comet Star |
Hornet + 90 Red/Blue/Green Evo Crystals = Tiara |
------------------------------------------------------------
Level 4
------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Comet Star |
Abilities: Twinkle Shot, Lullaby, Heal Level 4. |
Form: 4 (final) |
                                                            |
Comet Star is one of the final forms that your Fairy can |
evolve into. She looks like a bright and happy Fairy that |
looks like she has the chrismas spirit! Her abilities are |
most excellent to have. Twinkle Shot, which has a holy |
affect so she can take out monsters that are weak to |
Holy (Dracula for instence.) Lullaby is great to put |
harder monsters to sleep, and she comes compelete with |
Heal Level 4 which restores a sigificant ammount of |
HP. |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Tiara |
Abilities: Healing Drop, Crystal Skull |
Form: 4 (final) |
                                                            |
Tiara looks like a Fairy with butterfly wings and is |
dressed in blue! Her abilities are somewhat useless |
besides Crystal Skull which will cloak you from |
monsters. So if you want to get into a room with |
not having any monsters on your arse then use it! |
                                                            |
Healing Drops is kind of useless because she drops |
these shards on the ground and you must pick them |
up to heal you. Kind of useless in a battle |
situation. |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Tiramisu |
Abilities: Gold Heal, Decipher, Invincible Vase |
Form: 4 (Final) |
                                                            |
Tiramisu looks like your fairy doned in pink and has purple |
wings. Her Gold Heal is useless (unless you have the k to |
use it.) Decipher allows you to check out text markings in |
certain areas. The only good ability she has is the |
Invincible Vase, which will make you Invincible for a short |
period of time. |

Abilities: Press It and See, Just a Little, Skull Bomb, |
           Refresh. |
Form: 4 (Final) |
                                                            |
Probocis Fairy is glad in grey and looks kinda old She |
does have a few good abilities. Press It and See is an |
ability to used to press certain buttons in the certain |
parts of the game. Just a Little heals you of 1 HP, and |
is mainly used to comedic relief. Skull Bomb does weak |
damage. But covers a large radius and will hurt Hector |
as well if he does not block. Refresh is a very good |
ability because it puts Hornet, Killer Bee and Herbest |
to shame because Refresh cures all status effects. |

- U. Devil-Type -
-----------------

The Devil-Type Innocent Devil is the last Plot I.D. you are going
to obtain for the game. People tell me that the Devil-Type is
just used as a plot device and used to get under cracked walls.

Well you are dead wrong. The Devil-Type isn't just a plot
device and for looks. The Devi-Type I.D. is actually more
agressive than the Battle-Type I.D. (and did I mention
alot faster and stronger?) It also has a few useful
abilities if used in the correct way at the right time.

------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Gale |
Abilities: Magic Circle |
Form: 1 |
                                                            |
Gale is a very agressive little piece of s***! He is also |
hard to control and will be agressive towards anything in |
sight. His ability is Magic Circle which allows Hector to |
shrink into nothingness and get under cracked walls. |
                                                            |
Gale + 200 Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/White Evo Crystals = Brow |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: Brow |
Abilities: Circle Scissors, Needle Magic Circle |
Form : 2 |
                                                            |
Brow is alot more agressive than Gale. And when you do a |
chain attack properly he will shoot out flaming spheres |
that will explode when it hits an enemy. |
                                                            |
His main too skills are useless and do very littel damage. |
                                                            |
Brow + 100 Green Evolution Crystals while using a special |
       weapon = The End.                                    |
------------------------------------------------------------|
Name: The End |
Abilities: Exploding Magic Circle. |
Form: 3 (Final) |
                                                            |
The End is the Innocent Devil that Isaac used when you first|
fought him in Cordvoa Town. He is very agressive and his |
attacks can be deadly. His chain attack is nice too!. Also |
the destription says he can shoot lasers out of his eyes. |
                                                            |
I've never seen this done, if anyone has, please confirm |
this! His Exploding Magic Circle is awesome when fully |
charged it does 1,000 damage to regular enemies and 100 |
damage to all bosses! If you want to learn how to obtain |
this special I.D. please refer to the side quest |
section, because you need to make Isaac's spear known |
as the Chauve-Souris |

I hope you have enjoyed reading this guide and playing the game
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. I hope you enjoyed playing it as
much as I have enjoyed writing this guide. The game may have its
minor flaws. But if one can look past that, the game can actually
be really fun and interesting.

This guide has taken alot of work. (It's my very first big guide)
And I know that there are some parts that aren't ready yet. But
all in due time I shall have everything up and ready when you
need it. If you need any questions covered that are not in this
guide (or yet.) Please e-mail me anytime and I will try my best
to get back with you.

Again thank you, and good gaming my friends.
