= II. Introduction =
====================
This covers all 40 Crash Junctions and the 10 duplicate Crash Junctions (the
only difference is in one you can choose your car and in the other it gives
you a car to use on it). This should help tell you how to get gold on each of
them or at least give you the idea on what you need to do hopefully. We are
only giving one way of getting gold even though there probably is other
variations on crash junctions that you can do to get gold. These are only
suggested ways NOT to be taken as the ONLY way to do these. We hope this will
help most gamers that are having trouble with getting gold. We will
update/change descriptions if needed.

# III. Crash Junctions #

(Note: There is 4 main things to make sure you do during these Crash
Junctions. The first thing you need to do is get a Perfect Start at the
beginning of most of these junctions. To get a Perfect Start all you need to
do is when the start meter starts going push X when the marker goes over the
green area at the top (the lower on it the sooner you will go). When the
marker comes back down push X when it goes over the lower green area (the
higher on this green area the sooner you will go). The second thing you need
to remember is use your crashbreaker near as many cars as you can. If you are
not near any then use it to get into the way of moving cars or to hit parked
cars even. Try to touch/hit any untouched cars that are nearby to make them
explode hopefully and also try to get as many lanes of traffic to come to a
stop. The third thing you will also want to remember is try to blow up as
many cars you can to increase the amount of damage you cause. The last thing
is to be sure to also use your Impact time while waiting for a crashbreaker
it seems to delay the ending count down long enough that you gain more damage
amounts.)

(Note: We started making this guide once we hit Rank 10 which means some of
the cars we used for the strategy you may not have yet. We recommend you
start using this guide once you are at rank 10. If you want to use it sooner
you can try using the same strategies with other cars but we can't say for
sure if they will work good for you. Some of these you may not need the
Perfect Start but I think you can figure that out yourself. We tried to give
unique Crash Strategies (not always doing what the fly over camera showed)
for each junction but some of them we could only find one main way to get
Gold. The main object is to block as many lanes of traffic as you can and
blow up as many cars as you can. When you use crashbreakers try to hit any
car that is not blown up to hopefully blow it up to gain even more damage to
your total. You will also always want to use Impact time before and after a
crashbreaker to rack up damage more before the ending crash timer shows up
even though you should know that I thought I would mention it anyways.)

Get a Perfect start and then head down this street straight to hit the cab
of the big rig that should be in front of you at the intersection. Use
Impact time to wait for a crashbreaker and then use it with the large pile up
that should be around you. If you can try to guide your car with aftertouch
through the fence it showed you with the camera. If you were not able to just
wait until you get another crashbreaker and then use it to get through the
fence and down to the area below. Try to land on the group of cars either in
the middle or right side of this area to hopefully make them explode and gain
more damage points..

Get a Perfect start and use the ramp up ahead to launch you towards the
street up ahead. Hit one of the cars in the lane closest to the ramp and that
should clog up both lanes of traffic (if you can't hit a car in the near lane
aim for one in the far lane it should still have a similar effect). If you
are able to try and guide your car with aftertouch past the fence the camera
showed you and use your crashbreaker down there near the group of cars to get
an even higher damage score.

Get a Perfect start and then Traffic check both vehicles in front of you in
your lane. After you have done that ram into the Semi in front of them. If
done right one of the vehicles should end up going into oncoming traffic or
at least the cargo from the semi you hit will. Use your Impact time to wait
for a crashbreaker to build up and then use it to cause extra damage. Use
Impact time again and wait for a second crashbreaker and use it to get this
easy gold.

Get a Perfect Start and rear end the vehicle in front of you (try to traffic
check both and try to hit the big rigs with them or at least in front of
them). After that follow the lane on the right onto the on ramp and use it to
launch your car towards the area between the tree and billboard pole (or any
vehicle you see near the tree depending on how fast you get to the ramp). Try
to hit one of the cars or any vehicle in the lane closest to you. After you
have hit it move the camera to look to the right of where your car landed and
you should see the target car in the distance (it will be going towards the
off ramp on the other side of this highway. When you can use the crashbreaker
use it to either block the vehicles in front of the target car or run into
the target itself your choice.

Get a Perfect start and hit the car in front of you before going up the ramp
to launch your truck across the large gap. Try to land at the group of
vehicles at the bottom of the landing ramp. Try to hit the side of one of the
vehicles and slide into the middle of the street they are near. This should
hopefully start a big pile up and once your crashbreaker can be used use it
to try and hit other groups of cars you may have missed to hopefully blow
more up.

or ram the truck in the lane next to it into the intersection. It will
hopefully hit a vehicle in the intersection. If not ram one of the cars in
the intersection yourself. Use your crashbreaker when you get it to blow up
as many cars as you can around you.

Get a Perfect Start and then follow the car in the lane to the right to rear
end it. Quickly swerve to the left lane and use the ramp to launch yourself
between the pillars here. Hit the side of the bus to make it explode and to
push it out onto the street which should cause plenty of carnage. Be sure to
use Impact time to wait for the crashbreaker and then use your crashbreakers
to go counter-clockwise around this circular area to get any other cars that
are trying to get away from you. Be sure to use Impact time to gain as much
damage as possible before the end timer shows up.

Get a Perfect start and hit as many cars as you can as you go down this
street while avoiding semis. Once you reach the final intersection that the
camera showed you run into the semi that is carrying cargo to make it sprawl
all over the road and create a pile up (or any car at that intersection it
doesn't really matter). Use your crashbreaker when you get it to blow up as
many cars as you can around you.

Get a Perfect start and use the ramp on the left side of the road. You want
to try to land on both flat bed trucks that are carrying cargo on the far
right lanes to hopefully make them explode. Once you have done that let the
carnage begin and when you get your crashbreaker use it to cause even more
explosions.

Get a Perfect start and then fly off the edge of the walkway in front of you.
Land on the next ledge with the ramp and then use the ramp to launch yourself
towards the trolley car that is coming up the hill to the left in the
distance. Hit that trolley head on and it should push it into the
intersection at the bottom of the hill (you can also hit it on the right side
but it may not push it into the intersection). If there is any lane that the
cars are getting past the crashed cars block it with yourself when you get a
crashbreaker.

Get a Perfect start and then traffic check (rear end) the car in the right
lane behind the bus. Swerve to the left and hit the vehicle here into the bus
in front of it. Swerve right and hit the big rig you are next to or any
vehicle at this intersection to block the intersection. If you can aftertouch
off the road to the left to go onto the small road down the slope it showed
you with the camera at the end of the fly over. Block both lanes of traffic
and then use impact time to wait for a crashbreaker. Use it and try to go for
more cars that may not crash before the timer ends this junction.

Vehicle used for this Strategy: Off Road C170 MID
Get a Perfect start and then go through the intersection avoiding the cross
traffic. Traffic check the car on your left just behind the big rig and then
swerve right to use the ramp. Launch your vehicle towards the green car that
is next to the big rig and traffic check it (rear end it) or if they have not
gotten that far around the curve yet aim for the big rig itself. You should
end up hitting the big rig and end up causing a large pile up. Use Impact
time to wait for the crashbreaker and then use it to cause more damage. Just
be sure to hold Impact time before and after using a crashbreaker to build up
damage amount more. If you can try crashbreaking back along the road you got
here from to blow up cars that are waiting in line.

Get a Perfect start and then hit the vehicle that is directly in front of you
into the intersection up ahead while you head for the first ramp. Jump over
the carnage you just created and ram the next vehicle that is near the next
ramp in the right lane into the next intersection as you use the ramp to jump
over this intersection. Use the final ramp to hit the top of the bus that is
waiting at the intersection in front of you and then aftertouch over to the
opposite side of the road to stop traffic there.

Get a Perfect Start and go up the on ramp on your left. Rear end all 3
vehicles you come across on the right lane at the top of the incline. After
you have hit all three drop down to the lanes below on your left you should
see a bunch of semis and buses going away from you. Try to hit the leader
semis and buses if you can and then use impact time to go over to oncoming
traffic (if you can). If you can't just wait (hold R1 while doing so) until a
crashbreaker and then use it to go into oncoming traffic. Just be sure to get
the target car if it doesn't crash for some reason.

Get a Perfect start and then go onto the lane to your right to follow it.
When you reach some traffic going your way ram the first vehicle in front of
you and then swerve into the left lane to hit the van into the semi. Once you
pass the semi drop off the ledge on your right and slam head on into any car.
Use Impact time to wait for the crashbreaker and then use it to cause more
damage. Once you have used it go back to using impact time again to wait for
another crashbreaker hopefully and then use it.

Get a Perfect start and head up the right path/ramp where the barrels you can
see are in the way. Go up to the top of the incline and hit the front end or
middle of the vehicle at the top of the hill (where you hit it determine how
high or far you launch your vehicle). Hold R1 as you are launched in the air
(hopefully) and guide your car in Impact Time mode over to the buses on the
left that lead the pack of traffic going to the left. If you are able to try
and stop all 3 vehicles (the 2 buses and the truck because the target car
will be coming down these lanes) plus try to aftertouch through the fence on
the other side into the drainage area that you are going towards. Once you
have done that depending on where you landed use your crashbreaker to either
get to the vehicles in the drainage area or use it to go back to the highway
to hit more vehicles. Use any remaining crashbreakers that you get to go
towards vehicles that may not crash before the end timer starts counting down
(like the two lanes that the target car is not in on the other side of the
highway or near a large group of cars that have not blown up yet). Be sure to
use impact time before and after crashbreakers to make it easier to guide
your car plus gain as much damage as possible before the end timer starts
counting down.

(Note: Just to warn you this strategy works well but it takes plenty of
practice because it is very hard to pull off just right for the gold.)

Get a Perfect start and follow the oncoming lane of traffic to get around the
bus. Once you are around the bus you should see a big rig up ahead. Hit that
big rig head on at it's right headlight with your left headlight (the best
way to angle yourself is by going along the guardrail on your left until you
are ready to hit the big rig then swerve right into it) and aftertouch to the
right to get in front of the other big rig you passed a moment ago (if you
can or at least touch it). If you do it just right you should be able to
continue to use Aftertouch to go into the dirt parking area that the camera
showed you and slide right up next to the large group of cars. Use Impact
time to wait for a crashbreaker then use it to destroy as many of those
parked cars as you can (you may need to hold it in place until you have a
crashbreaker because that pesky gravity likes sliding it down hill away from
the group of cars).

Get a Perfect start and then follow the lane you are on. Rear end the two
cars up ahead and then swerve left to hit the second or third car on the
left. Guide your car off the bridge if you can and into the middle of the
traffic lanes below. Use Impact time and wait until you can use a
crashbreaker. Use the crashbreaker to go into the other lanes of traffic and
then hold impact time again until you get another crashbreaker. Keep using
crashbreakers near cars that have not blown up yet to cause plenty of damage.

(Note: This seems to be the only crash mode that you need really good driving
skills and real good timing to get a gold in. For this junction you seem to
need a very specific "Perfect Start". You seem to need a fast "Perfect
Start". This seems to occur when you place the marker for the start meter at
the bottom of the top green area and then put it at the very top of the lower
green area. You need this specific start because the cross traffic doesn't
give you much of a choice. If you get this specific start you should be able
to traffic check both vehicles at the bottom of the hill and follow right
behind them through the cross traffic and be able to use the ramp faster. If
you don't get that start you will more then likely have to go around the two
vehicles in the near lane losing precious time but I think you will find that
out on your own.)

Get the specific Perfect start and traffic check one or both of the cars at
the bottom of the hill into the street. Slip through cross traffic and use
the ramp to launch yourself towards the dirt road on the other side of the
street that the camera showed you. Go up this dirt road traffic checking any
cars that are in front you and then hit the truck on the right at the end of
this dirt road into the street they are blocking you from. Use Impact time to
wait for a crashbreaker and then use it to go back down the dirt road to blow
up one or more of the cars that are in line there.

Get a Perfect Start and then hit that car you see in the distance right
before you use the ramp to your right to launch your car into one of the big
rigs (if not both of them or at least one of the vehicles in front of them).
Once you have stopped the big rigs hold Impact time and wait for a
crashbreaker. Once you have one use it to stop the other lanes of traffic on
the other side of the highway and try to get over to that side of the
highway to block all those lanes of traffic. Hold impact time again and when
you get the crashbreaker use it to go against traffic. Try to go as far as
you can against traffic to block the lanes and get extra damage from the cars
that haven't reached the crash site yet.

overpass/bridge or go through the barricade the cars are parked along. Drop
down to the street below the overpass/bridge and block both lanes you land

the other side of this circle from where you jumped. Try to block the turning
lane for the cars and use crashbreaker(s) to cause even more damage.

moment behind a few buses that are turning the corner (you sometimes don't
even need to worry about it because the target car sometimes crashes\explodes
without your help.

that are just before the intersection (I usually hit the truck/car that is
coming towards me in the left lane). Use your impact time to wait for the
crashbreaker to build up and then use it to go down the slope to your cars
left. You should end up on a small street at the bottom of the slope and you
need to guide your car in aftertouch towards the headlights coming at you (if
you are unsure where they are you need to go in the opposite direction of
where the intersection you landed near is at). Try to hit the cars that are
coming towards you and then get in their way while you keep impact time going
to hopefully just get enough damage for a gold.

cargo in hopes for it to take out the left truck. After you have taken out
the semis Aftertouch off the edge of the lanes and drop down onto the lower
area of lanes to block both lanes of traffic there.

without using the ramp). Use the final ramp to hit the top or back of the bus
that is waiting at the intersection in front of you and then aftertouch or
crashbreaker over to the opposite side of the road to stop traffic there.

crashbreaker to hopefully either hit something to block traffic on those
lanes below or to move yourself down there to block the traffic).

you should be able to make it through the intersection (this doesn't always
work but most of the time it does for me anyways). Once you make it through
the intersection head up the onramp on the other side of the street. Go past
the Semi and bus to hit the leader of this traffic pack (the semi). Use
Impact time to either aftertouch over to the other lanes of this highway or
wait to use your crashbreaker to get over there (if you are close enough to
the center divider you can also just use the Crashbreaker there which the
shockwave alone should stop the traffic on the oncoming lanes of traffic..

of cars in the parking lot that the camera showed you to hopefully blow up
a few more cars.

Get a Perfect start and then hit the first car that you see in the right
lane. Quickly swerve to the left avoiding the vehicle coming down the slope
and go up the incline to use the ramp to launch your vehicle. Try to launch
your car at the left corner of the ramp facing to the left. You need to do
this to compensate for the powerful winds here. Once you land on the Parking
garage do almost the exact same thing on the next ramp to the left and try to
hit a car on the overpass near the barricades on the other side of the
overpass that you should be able to see. Once you hit a vehicle guide your
car in aftertouch through the barricades on the other side of the overpass
and drop down to the street below (if you could not aftertouch down there
then use impact time to wait for a crashbreaker to get down there (if you can
or use impact time to wait for a crashbreaker to get down there). Block the
traffic here that the Target car is part of and you should get gold if you
were able to do all that.

Get a Perfect start and then drive off the ledge in front of you. Fly over to
the ledge with the ramp and use it to launch you to the next ramp ledge.
Launch your vehicle from the right corner of this ramp and aim for one of the
green cars waiting at the intersection at the bottom of the hill (I usually
aim for the green car on the right or in the middle of the two). If you hit
it just right aftertouch through the barricade on the other side of the
street and try to block the traffic on the lanes here (if you can't get
through it with aftertouch just use Impact time until you can use a
crashbreaker to hopefully either hit something to block traffic on those
lanes below or to move yourself down there to block the traffic).

Q. What are special cars? and How do I takedown a Special car for the
Challenge Sheet?
A. You need to wait until later in the game when you are in races against
the special cars that you can unlock during the game (like the logitech
Racer and Elite Racer).

Q. I try to use a Crashbreaker during a race and it doesn't work why is that?
A. You can only use Crashbreakers in races during "Crashbreaker" Events. They
begin to appear once you get to the 6th Rank (Dangerous) areas.

Q. How do I do an 4-way payback?
A. Try to pick a "Crashbreaker" Event that has alot of smaller alleys (like
on the Motor City Tracks which also seems the easiest place to get double,
triple and 4-ways if you can keep up with the pack and if they stay together)
during the race. Stay ahead of the pack and if they take you down use Impact
time to wait until 4 cars are near you before using the crashbreaker. This
takes a little skill and luck to pull off just right.

A. You need to land on top of an opponent car either by jumping on top of
them or by dropping down on them from a higher ledge.
