Introduction =================== Howdy and welcome to my guide for Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia. Ar Tonelico is a pretty interesting game for a lack of a better word. It's basically an RPG that has some aspects of a dating sim in it. You'll find out exactly what I mean by that if you play the game. The same people that made Atelier Iris also made this game, so the game has a similiar look. I still have a soft spot for 2D and Turn Based RPGs, and this game caught my interest, so here I am. =================== 2.) Basics =================== ------------- Battle System ------------- This game uses a semi turn based style of gameplay. Though it's not in real time, the game doesn't exactly stay true to the Turn based roots. Instead, at the top, there's a row of character and enemy portraits with a blue bar next to them. Once the bar is full, it's that characters turn to act. I find that it works pretty well in the end. --------- Songs --------- This is only used by the Reyvateil in the game. In order to use Songs, you need to press the Triangle button during a battle and a battle menu will open up for the Reyvateil you're using. Choose to sing a song and a list of currently available songs will pop up. Using a song will gradually decrease the MP of the Reyvateil while it's powering up. Once you either decide to use the song manually, or once the Reyvateil's MP runs out, the song will end automatically and their attack will unleash. --------- Reyvateil --------- As mentioned above, Reyvateils are characters that use songs to attack. They may be attackers, but they're far from strong defense wise. During battles, they're stuck in the back. If an enemy hits them, expect to see that Reyvateil either take enough damage to stick them in the Critical zone, or just die right there. If a Reyvateil is targetted, the game will notify you, and you're left to guard them so they don't take damage. This also enables you to counter attacks. ------------ Grathmelding ------------ Players of the Atelier Iris games will probably already know how this aspect of the game works. Grathmelding is just a fancy word for Item Synthesis. All you basically do is gather the ingredients for a certain item you want to make and combine them together to create the item. However, unlike the Atelier Iris games, combining different materials will NOT result in a new item. Instead, using different materials will just enhance the quality of the item. --------- Diving --------- Diving is basically when you enter the Cosmosphere of the Reyvateil that's in your party. It basically means that you enter their own little world, such as a dream of sorts and you can explore around inside. Don't get any perverted thoughts, as you can't do THAT. ---------- Camp Tiles ---------- Like in the Atelier Iris games, the Camp Tiles are back, and work in basically the same way. You can Grathmeld items here as well as rest and save. You can also start up Conversations with the Reyvateils here as well by picking up the several Topic items throughout the game. =================== 4.) Walkthrough =================== NOTE: I'll try to keep this walkthrough as spoiler free as possible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ar Tonelico: Phase 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Watch the opening scenes, and you'll be thrown into a battle right off the bat. It's not that hard, since the only choice you have right now is to attack. After doing enough damage, some more scenes occur. The opening credits roll as the scene goes on. Don't worry about finding the exit in this area, as you're taken through it automatically. After the scenes, you'll have control for the first time. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- Handkerchief GNode Upgrade Crystal Seed of Phebes Blue Stone x5 -Once you're able to move around, get used to the controls and whatnot and explore around the menu. When you're ready to take off, head to the right to find a Handkerchief. The path here is pretty straightforward. Follow it and you'll find a chest that has a GNode Upgrade Crystal in it. Grab the other two items in this area for a Seed of Phebes and some Blue Stones. Make your way to the south and use the Camp Tile to save your game. You'll find your airship. Watch the scenes and you'll be able to leave the forest. Exit and choose Karulu Village off the map. ============== Karulu Village ============== Items ----- N/A -The first thing you'll most likely notice is that instead of actually exploring an entire town on foot, you have a menu of where you want to go. I think it's an interesting idea. Anyways, explore around the town. Some new places to explore will open up, so go ahead and explore them. Make sure to visit the General Store. Once you're done, exit back into Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Head up to where your airship is and watch the scene. In order to get your airship back, you'll now have to do some Wolf hunting. The man in the green outfit that was there earlier reappears, and introduces himself as Jack. He joins your party now. Make your way back to Karulu Village. ============== Karulu Village ============== Items ----- N/A -Head to the inn and watch the scene. Now make your way to Cello Forest. ============== Cello Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -The path is pretty straightforward here, so follow it and you'll eventually bump into the Blue Wolves that are giving the good people of Karulu Village a bad time. You'll enter into a battle now. Try attacking the Wolves and you'll find out that Lyner's weapons don't work on the Wolves, so Lyner and Jack decide to retreat. Make your way back to Karulu Village again. ============== Karulu Village ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to the inn and watch the scene. After that's done, a new area will be open on the map. Choose the Tower Guardian and you'll be at the top. Talk with the female behind the stand on the left for a scene. After it, go talk with Grandpa on the right and he'll offer to teach you how to Grathmeld. He'll show you how to make a Healy C. Yummy. After it, he'll want you to make a Missile. Go to the inn and talk with the innkeeper. Choose Grathmelding off the menu and make a Missile. Go back to Grandpa and talk with him and you'll get a couple of items. Before leaving, make sure to have at least 2 Missiles. When you're ready, make your way to Cello Forest. ============== Cello Forest ============== Items ----- White Stone x5 Running Wind -Continue down to where you fought the Blue Wolves and keep going until you reach a fork. Go east first and at the next fork, go east again and then go north to find a bag with White Stone x5. Make your way back to the first fork and go south this time and follow it. Use the Camp Tile along the way. Save your game and continue on and you'll find the Blue Wolves from earlier. It's not a tough fight. Have Lyner use a Missile and it'll pretty much take off half of their health. Have Jack attack and after one more Missile from Lyner, the Wolves should go down for the count. Grab the chest after the battle for a Running Wind. Make your way back to Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to your airship and watch the scene. After it, head back to the Cello Forest. ============== Cello Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Make your way to where you fought the Wolves from earlier and continue along the path until you reach the world map. From there, choose to enter Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- Double Attack Crystal -Once you enter, select to enter the main street and a scene will occur, followed by your first boss battle. O---------------O | A.B.R | O---------------O | HP | 60788 | O---------------O -Don't worry about the HP total. Since this is your first boss fight, it's actually pretty easy because of one thing: you have Aurica helping you. She'll give you a small tutorial on how to use her Songs. Make sure to use them and let her Red Magic power up as Lyner and Jack attack it. Once Aurica is about to run out of MP, choose to activate the song and A.B.R should take a lot of damage. Just rinse and repeat and he'll be gone soon. After the fight, a new option will appear on your city menu. Choose to enter the Elemia Church. Watch the scene. After it, head for the Inn. A scene will automatically start up and you'll recieve a Double Attack Crystal. A tutorial about Enhancing your weapons is now available, so watch it if you want. Head up the stairs and talk with Aurica who's just sitting on the floor looking around. I don't know about you, but I thought that was adorable. Some more scenes occur. A man will come in asking to see Lyner alone. He reveals himself as Bourd and tells Lyner to join him. After some more scenes, you'll have a new place to crash at. ============== Tenba Lab ============== Items ----- SC Ikaruga Replica Horn x3 RC Tranquility Song Stone x5 SC Boss Secret Rock of Healing -Watch the scene, and another Reyvateil, Misha, will join your party. Use the camp tile and choose to Rest. A new option, the Conversation System, will now become available. Once you're ready, exit the door and head down the hall into the next door. Grab the item in here for an SC Ikaruga and Replica Horn x3. Exit and continue on for a scripted fight. Simply have Misha build up her Red Magic Song and she should be able to take out the majority of their health. You're also introduced to guarding Reyvateils in this battle. This is very important, so make sure to pay attention to what Misha tells you to do and how it works. After the fight, continue along and you'll find another door. Go through it for two items bags and a chest which contain the RC Tranquility, Stone Stone x5 and a SC Boss Secret. Now continue along going south until you reach another door. Continue along to find another door. Go through it. At the three way fork here, go east and follow the path until you reach a Camp Tile. Make sure to use it. Continue on and a scene will trigger. Once you regain control, continue to the south and you'll reach a new room. Grab the Rock of Healing here and exit and continue down the main path until you find another Camp Tile. Continue on and watch the scene. O--------------------O | Ikaruga Mk.I | O--------------------O | HP | 6000 | O--------------------O -You'll have a new party member for this fight. She wields a Chainsaw, so be glad you can't piss her off. Ikaruga isn't hard for the most part, but he has one attack that does some decent damage, so have either your new party member use Cure Tablet or have Misha use her healing song. If Misha isn't using her healing song, have her use her red magic song and build it up while Lyner and our new Chainsaw wielding friend attack. Once the Ikaruga gets low on health, it will start targetting Misha, so make sure to protect her before the Ikarugas next attack. Just keep it up and he'll fall eventually. After the scene, the Chainsaw wielding female runs away. After the fight, make your way back to the Camp Tile that was on the catwalk and continue to the west. ============== Firefly Alley ============== Items ----- N/A -Make sure to pick up the Topic on the ground. Remember, Topics are those shiny things on the floors. Make sure to pick them up when you come across them. There's a merchant here that sells Cards. Go ahead. Buy yourself one. You earned it. Maybe you'll find someone that will duel with you. Okay, not really. Anywho, continue exploring and you'll find a Dive House. Ignore it for now and exit the area and choose to go to the General Store. There's a Topic lying on the ground here so make sure to pick it up. Once you're done here, make your way to the port. ============== Seagull Port ============== Items ----- N/A -After the small scene, it's time to make your way back into the Tenba Lab. ============== Tenba Lab ============== Items ----- N/A -Simply follow the path until a scene triggers. Follow the path afterwards until another scene triggers. Make your way back to Firefly Alley. ============== Firefly Alley ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to where the old man sells cards and go south from him and talk to the lady near the stairs here. She'll introduce herself as Spica. After some talking, you can shop with her if you want. After that's done, make your way back to the Tenba Lab. After the "sexy" conversation, make your way back to Firefly Alley and enter the Dive House. Here you'll be introduced to the Cosmospheres that reside in all Reyvateils. You'll get a small explaination of how to move around inside. Visit the spot with a star on it and pay 50 DP to enter it. After the scene, you'll learn Thunder Shot. After that, go to the next star, and you'll learn Thunder Guard. Go to the next star for a scene, and keep going to where the stars are. Eventually you'll clear the first level of Misha's Cosmosphere. Now go back to the Tenba Labs. ============== Tenba Labs ============== Items ----- SC Spica's Report 2 SC Spica's Report 1 -Go up the first set of stairs you come across and Misha will point out that you should use Thunder Shot on it. Press Square to use it and the wall will be destroyed. Now simply follow the path here and you'll get into a fight with two guards. After they're gone, exit out of this room to the south and go down to find a chest that as SC Spica's Report 2 in it. Go back and use the Camp Tile and continue following the path to find SC Spica's Report 1. Continue along the path and you'll exit the area eventually. =============== Terraced Fields =============== Items ----- RC Powerful Medicine Running Ice SC Enhance Conquering Running Fire Defeated Lovers Charm -As soon as you enter, you'll get into a fight. It's not exactly hard. You'll be introduced to the Ambience Field system in this fight. Just keep attacking it with Lyner and Misha will eventually use her song automatically and the battle will end right there. After the fight, the Chainsaw wielding woman reveals herself as Krusche. Continue along until you reach a fork. Grab the RC Powerful Medicine and go east at the fork and grab the Running Ice here. Go back to the fork and go north this time. Grab the SC Enhance Conquering item in this area and continue along to the west to find some Running Fire. Backtrack and go north until you reach a fork. Go west at it and open the chest here for the Defeated Lovers Charm. Go back and go north this time and use the Camp Tile. Make sure to grab the Topic on the ground here. Rest up and have some conversations with Misha. Save your game and continue to the north. ============== Tower ============== Items ----- SC Good Battle News Metal Frame x5 SC ABR Secrets 2 RC Shining Ring Warrior's Spirit Airmetal SC ABR Secrets 4 SC ABR Secrets 3 Thundershroom x3 SC Enhance Conquering 2 -As soon as you enter, a fight will trigger. After it, go west and follow the path until you hit a split. Go east at the split for Metal Frame x5. Go back to the split and go west this time and go west at the next split. Grab the SC Good Battle News here and use the Camp Tile. Continue along until you reach another split. Go west and then east to another split. Go west at this one and grab the two items here; the SC ABR Secrets 2 and the RC Shining Ring. Use the Camp Tile and continue to the west. At the next fork, continue along to the west and grab the Warrior's Spirit in here. Backtrack to the fork and go east this time. Grab the Airmetal, SC ABR Secrets 4, and the SC ABR Secrets 3 when you come across them. Continue along and use the Thunder Shot on the generator here and backtrack to the shuttle. Open it and you'll be taken to the top floor. Exit and at the fork, go west and get the Thundershroom x3. Go back and go south and east and a scene will occur. Grab the SC Enhance Conquering 2 here and use the Camp Tile. Board the airship to continue and for a fight. It's a simple battle. Simply have Misha use Energy Blast and use Tranquilities on her so she can continue building it up. Have Krusche use Cure Tablet when needed and Lyner and Radolf should be attacking. After the fight, watch the scenes. If you're ready to leave, tell Radolf you are and some more scenes occur. ============== Falcon's Claw ============== Items ----- Firefly Paper SC Super Counter 1 Hint of Magic Juicy Meat x3 Running Fire RC Strong Medicine -From the start, take the east path and grab the two items on the next screen for some Firefly Paper and the SC Super Counter 1. Backtrack to the Camp Tile and take the west path this time. At the fork, go west to find a Hint of Magic and then go back to the fork and go east this time. Now continue going all the way to the east until you find an item. Get it for Juicy Meat x3. Go back one screen and go west to find a Running Fire. Go back one screen again and go east this time to find a RC Strong Medicine. Keep going and use the Camp Tile and enter the Church Walls. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Shmookle: ---------------------- Found two items that weren't listed in your FAQ in the Falcon Claw map after the Floating wharf area. After you get the Hint of Magic, return to the fork and go east. Instead of going east again to the next map there is a path to the west which leads to spot with "Funny Clothing" (accessory). Next is after you get Running Fire and go back/east before going east again you can go west that leads to 5 White Stone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============== Church Walls ============== Items ----- Black Stone x5 RC Electric Bomb SC Enhance Conquering 3 RC Battery -Head east and check along the wall to find some breakable rocks. Use either Sonic Shot or Gale Shot to get rid of them. Head down the stairs to find Black Stone x5. Go back and continue to the east and break down the next set of rocks along the wall and go down the stairs. Grab the RC Electric Bomb. Go back and continue to the east and break the rocks here and take the stairs. Continue along and grab the SC Enhance Conquering 3 along the way. Take the stairs. Grab the nearby RC Battery and continue along to the east until you reach a Camp Tile. Save your game and head on through. Watch the scene here. Make your way out of here now and you'll return to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to the inn to find a Topic on the ground. Now go to Elemia Church and watch the scene. After it, re-enter Elemia Church and get the Topic on the ground in here as well. Now head for the inn and rest up. Go to Elemia Church and after the scene, Radolf will join you. Radolf will also tell you of the Dive House in Nemo. Go visit it and choose to dive into Aurica. Assuming you haven't ran from any battles, you should have enough DP to finish the first two levels of Auricas Cosmosphere. During the first level, you'll receive the Song Magic Fire Shot, Fire Guard, and Flamia. If you decide to do the second level, you'll earn your first costume for Aurica, as well as learn two new Song Magic. Whenever you're done screwing around (no pun intended), make your way to Singing Hill. ============== Singing Hill ============== Items ----- Ultimate Fang Curing Amber Berserking Power RC Screw SC Girls Secret 1 SC Girls Secret 2 Fiery Follower SC Super Counter 2 Windy Follower x2 Beak Breath x3 Bunched Grass x5 RC Airwing White Stone x10 Spoonful of MP Vacuum Pipe x5 -Grab the Ultimate Fang once you enter and continue along the path until you reach the Camp Tile. From there, go to the east and break down the Fire Door with Fire Shot at the end and get the two items inside for a Curing Amber and a Berserking Power. Go back to the Camp Tile and go west this time and grab the RC Screw and go back to the Camp Tile and head through the door. Continue to the west and get the item along the way for the SC Girls Secret 1. Backtrack and to the teleporter near the entrance and take it. Grab the SC Girls Secret 2 in here and continue to the west until you hit a fork. Go west first and break down the Fire Door with Fire Shot and get the item for a Fiery Follower. Backtrack to the fork and go east this time and get the SC Super Counter 2. Break down the wind door with Gale Shot and get the Windy Follower in this room. Go back to the fork once more and go north. At the next fork, go west and get the item for Beak Breath x3. Go back to the fork and go east this time and get the Bunched Grass x5. Go back to the fork one last time and go north and use the Camp Tile. Grab the RC Airwing nearby. Head west to find the RC Pig, and use the Teleporter. Continue to the west until you find a Camp Tile. Go west for a small scene, then go back and go through the door here. Break down the wind door with Gale Shot. O-----------------O | A.B.R | O-----------------O | HP | 60788 | O-----------------O -There's a trick to this fight. This A.B.R will absorb any Song Magic that Aurica throws at it, plus it can regenerate and hit your entire party. What you should do is use Fire Guard with Aurica to enhance your weapons with Fire. Now start attacking it and it shouldn't regenerate at all. Use Aurica to heal up if needed, and just keep attacking it with Lyner, Krusche, and Radolf. After the fight, watch the scenes and you'll be back at the Camp Tile. Save your game and head to the west and keep going west until you hit a fork. Go west at the fork to find a Windy Follower. Backtrack to the fork and go east this time. At the next fork, go west to find White Stone x10. Go back and take the middle path to find a Spoonful of MP. Go back once more and take the east path this time. You'll come across yet another fork. Go east to find a Vacuum Pipe x5. Go back and go north this time and continue to the north. A scene will trigger. At the end of it, Aurica will learn Thunder Guard. Then another fight will occur. O-----------------O | A.B.R | O-----------------O | HP | 60788 | O-----------------O -Thankfully this one doesn't absorb magic nor does it regenerate. Simply have Lyner and Jack attack it while Aurica should be building up Flamia or her normal Song Magic. Use a Tranquility on her if needed and keep building up her magic. Once it surpasses the 30,000% mark, you should be able to finish it off in one shot with Aurica. After the fight, watch the scenes and you'll be at tne entrance. Make your way to Viola Forest now. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to where Lyner's Airship is. Watch the scene. Make your way to Karulu Village first. ============== Karulu Village ============== Items ----- N/A -Choose to go to the Tower Guardian to find a Topic on the ground near Noelle's shop. Now exit and head for Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to Elemia Church, and then head to the Inn. Go talk with Claire and she'll ask you for a favor. She'll give you a recipe card to make some strings. If you don't have the White Powder Recipe Card yet, head to the first option on the town map and head to the west part of it. Pick up the topic on the ground and talk to the merchant near it. Buy the RC White Powder for 100 Leaf. Now find somewhere to Grathmeld and make a String. Go back to Claire and watch the lengthy scene. After it's done, exit the city and make your way to the Hexagonal Plate. =============== Hexagonal Plate =============== Items ----- Juicy Meat x3 SC Wild Thunder SC Ikaruga Info 2 Paradox Eye SC Girls Secret 3 White Stone x10 Rather Defensive -Continue into the Plate and grab the Juicy Meat x3 on the other side of the room. Take the nearby split and head to the next area. Grab the SC Wild Thunder in this room and continue down the path into the next area. Go west here and get the SC Ikaruga Info 2 along the way. At the fork, there's a cracked wall to the right of you. Break it down with Fire Shot and get the Paradox Eye behind it. Go back and go west this time. Grab the SC Girl's Secret 3 near the Camp Tile and use it. Continue along and at the next fork, go west to find White Stone x10 and a Rather Defensive. Backtrack to the fork and go east this time. Break down the door and watch the scene. After it, you'll automatically be in Nemo. If you haven't ran from any battles yet, you should have enough DP to complete Levels 3 and 4 of Aurica's Cosmosphere. Go to Elemia Church and watch the scene. After it, before going to the Silvaplate, make your way back to the Hexagonal Plate and go to the room where you encountered Bourd. Examine one of the cabinets for Black Stone x10. Now exit and enter Silvaplate. ============== Silvaplate ============== Items ----- Hero's Spirit SC MP Terror RC Black Ring Burnt Root x5 Metal Frame Dark Solution x10 Large Gear (Cog) x3 RC Revival Machine Rather Defensive SC Shop Secrets Seed of Phebes x10 Rather Fast RC White Ring -From the start, continue down the main path going west until you reach a fork. Go east and continue on to find Large Gear (Cog) x3. Backtrack to the fork and go west. Continue along and get the RC Revival Machine along the way. Keep going west and get the Rather Defensive. Now go back and go south this time until you reach a Camp Tile. Save your game and continue to the west to find Bourd. A fight will ensue. Don't worry about Misha in this fight, as she won't attack. Focus on getting your Harmonic gauge up to at least Level 3. Have your three front characters attack the soldiers first, and then focus on Bourd. This fight isn't hard, but you can get some good items if you can get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. After the fight, Misha will join your party once again. You still have her Dive Points from when she left, so don't worry about having to gather them up again. After the fight is over, continue onward and grab the SC Shop Secrets along the way. Now continue west for the next few screens, and then turn and head to the east. Grab the Seed of Phebes x10 along the way and continue to the west. Once you reach the next Camp TIle, go west at the fork to find a Rather Fast. Backtrack and go south and then west. Continue west and then turn and go south. Get the RC White Ring and continue west until you exit the area completely. Watch the following scenes. ============== Em Pheyna ============== Items ----- SC L's Tower News 3 -Visit the Restoire to catch up on some conversations if you haven't done any in awhile. Also head to the shop to find the SC L's Tower News 3 sitting in the corner. Make your way to the Temple Grounds and watch the scene. After it, make sure to get some Healing items. Once you're ready, select the Temple off the city map. ============== Temple ============== Items ----- RC Iron RC MP Recovery Machine SC Teru Chief RC Compass -You're only going to have Lyner and Aurica for this dungeon, so make sure that Lyner has his equipment fully upgraded and you Grathmelded enough healing items. Once you're ready, go west from the start and follow the path as it bends around to find the RC Iron. Backtrack to the beginning and go down the bottom right path this time and get the RC MP Recovery Machine. Now make your way to the southwest teleporter and take it. Grab the SC Teru Chief here and take the teleporter back down. Take the northwest teleporter this time and head to the right and follow the path around to find the RC Compass. Continue following the path until you reach a Camp Tile. Save your game and continue down the hall and you'll find Flute. O---------------O | Flute | O---------------O | HP | 10312 | O---------------O -You'll want to watch out for two things here. The first one is the most obvious one. If he targets Aurica, make sure to protect her, as the attack he uses on her is a multi hit one, and considering her defense is pure crap, she'll wind up dead after it. The other thing you'll want to watch out for is his ability to Poison you. His attacks may not do much damage, but if he gets the chance to Poison you, you're going to want to heal it immediately. Have Lyner use Impulse or normal attacks while Aurica should be using her best Red Song Magic and let her build it up. It shouldn't take too long to take him down. Watch the scene and you'll be at the entrance of the Temple automatically. ============== Em Pheyna ============== Items ----- N/A -Head for the Temple Grounds and watch the scene. Now you need to make your way back to the Temple. ============== Temple ============== Items ----- Funny Clothing Sleepy Weapon Dragon Heart Bushido Spirit SC Circula Info Yulastrino -Do you remember where those worn out ledges were? Go examine one and Jack will give you a Recipe Card to make Fertilizer to make it grow. Make about 5 or 6. Head for the Southeast Teleporter and fill in the gap. Cross it and get the Funny CLothing and Sleepy Weapon on the other side. Head back and take the Southwest teleporter this time. Head east and get the Dragon Heart along the way. Go back to the first floor now and use the Northeast Teleporter. Follow the path here. Go south and fill in the gap here and get the Bushido Spirit on the other side. Now head for the other side of the area and follow the path. Grab the SC Circula Info on the side and open the chest for the Yulastrino. Now make the Circula. Once you make it, go visit the Temple. After the scene, it's time to head for the Ion Plate. You can get there by selecting the Em Pheyna Gate and talking to the guard next to it. However, let's do a little catching up with Misha. If you haven't done her Level 2 Cosmosphere yet, you should have more than enough Dive Points to finish Levels 2 through 5. Make sure to explore around Karulu Village and Nemo for some more Topics. Once you're ready, enter the Ion Plate. ============== Ion Plate ============== Items ----- SC Battle Secrets 1 GDH201 RC Chain 1 SC L's Tower News 1 RC Flashy Ring Man I love the music that plays in this dungeon. -Follow the main path until you reach a Camp Tile. There's a fork nearby as well. Head east from it to find a SC Battle Secrets 1. Head back and go west this time. Continue along the main path once again until you reach yet another fork. Head north and then east to find a GDH201. Go west until you reach yet another fork. Go east this time until you find the Camp Tile. At this fork, take the left path and get the RC Chain 1. Make sure to make this, as it's a good weapon for Krusche at this point and she can use a good upgrade. Now go back to the first fork and go west. At this next fork, go north and you'll find yet another effin' fork. Go west to find the SC L's Tower News 1. Go back and head east this time. Now follow the linear path here as it expands out for several screens. Grab the RC Flashy Ring at the end and head east. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Shmookle: ---------------------- As you enter the dungeon right when you enter a cloud that covers your view of your character there is a path going left hidden in it that has 30 blue stone, 3 ion board and a shine blaster ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============== Frozen Eye ============== Items ----- Uber Grade Rainbow Fragment Beak Breath x3 Ultimate Fang -Grab the Uber Grade once you enter and follow the path until you reach a fork. Use the Camp Tile if you desire and then head east to find another fork. Go north from it and get the Rainbow Fragment and Beak Breath x3 at the end. Go back to the fork and head east to find a Ultimate Fang. Backtrack to where the Camp Tile is and head north this time. Watch the scene. ================= Altar of Apostles ================= Items ----- SC Virus! 2 -Head down the main path and get the SC Virus! 2 along the way. Now go north and continue to the west until you exit the area. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- SC Virus! 1 -Explore the Inn and Shop for some Topics. Go ahead and upgrade your equipment here. If you made the Chainsaw from the Recipe Card for Krusche, and you have some spare Raychiels from previous battles, go ahead and sell the Raychiels. They sell for a good amount of Leaf. Once you're done, head for the Platina Great Hall and watch the scene. After it, the Dive House will be open. Grab the SC. Virus! 1 sitting in the room and talk with the man in charge here. Well, he certainly does like to add the letter Y to the end of most of his words. You're then asked to dive into Aurica and Misha to figure out their codes. You now have to choose who to download the Hymn Crystal into. The choice is completely up to you. I chose Aurica, but feel free to choose Misha if you prefer her. Head back to the Platina Great Hall. Your Reyvateil will depend on who you downloaded the Hymn Crystal into. In my case, Aurica joined my party and Misha was left behind. If you downloaded the Hymn Crystal into Misha, then Misha will most likely join your party and Aurica will be left behind. Once you're done exploring the entire town, make your way back to the Altar of Apostles. Enter it from the World Map. ================= Altar of Apostles ================= Items ----- RC Gun 1 Harmonion -Head north and then turn and go east. At the fork, go south and then head east. At the next fork, go south and then west to find the RC Gun 1. Now go back to the previous fork and go east this time. Grab the Harmonion at the end and make your way back to the first fork and go east. Keep going until you reach the Camp Tile. Go north at the fork and watch the scene. You'll get into a fight here with the Virus. It's not a hard fight. Make sure to try to build your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. One thing to note about this fight is that you'll need to use all 3 people to protect your Reyvateil if the Virus decides to target her. Just keep attacking. If you have any Regeneration GNode Crystals on your characters, you should be fine. After the fight, watch the scene. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- N/A -Watch the scene here and you'll be prompted to visit the Dive House. Make sure to make any healing items if you need them, then head for the Dive House. Choose to Dive. ==================== Aurica's Cosmosphere ==================== Items ----- N/A -Watch the scenes and you'll be thrusted into a fight. It's the same fight as last time, except the main Virus will spawn 3 minor ones, which are really weak so go crazy on them. Once they're gone, the main Virus shouldn't pose a threat still. Watch the following scenes after the fight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ar Tonelico: Phase 2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aurica ------ (ATAP) ============== Platina ============== Items ----- SC Cosplay SC Slepnir -Once you regain control, go ahead and head for the Department section of the city. There's a SC Cosplay as soon as you enter. Head up the stairs to find the SC Slepnir. The shop up here has a new recipe card, so make sure to purchase it. Explore around the rest of the town to find some Topics. Now select the first option off the city map and talk to the man on the far left. He'll sell you some stuff now. Go ahead and purchase whatever you want. Whenever you're done searching around town, head for the Altar of Apostles from the Platina side. Head down the south path and open the door at the far end. Go through to find Aurica. Watch the scene and you'll be back in Platina. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ What you're about to make is a critical choice in the game of which Revateils path you're going to take. I'd suggest making a seperate save slot so you can play both paths without having to restart. If you want Aurica's path, choose NOT to join the search team. If you want Misha's path, choose to join the search team. I chose Aurica, but the choice is up to you. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You'll be back at Platina. Everyone is still in your party. If you wish to do some diving, go ahead and do it. I doubt you can get into Aurica's Level 5 Cosmosphere yet (I wasn't able to at this point), but you can most likely get into Misha's Level 6 Cosmosphere. Just a little warning, though. Level 6 of both Misha and Aurica's Cosmosphere gets a bit graphic and naughty and has some cleavage shots, so if you're offended by any of that, don't say I didn't warn you. Once you're done, head for the Altar of Apostles. ================= Altar of Apostles ================= Items ----- N/A -Simply just follow Lady Shurelia as she ventures into the dungeon. You'll eventually find a teleporter. From here on out, whichever path you decided to take will determine your current party. If you chose Aurica's path, your party will be Lyner, Aurica, and Radolf. Once you teleport, make your way to the exit (you've been to this area before) and enter Nemo off the World Map. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- SC Good Install 2 -You'll wind up at the Elemia Church automatically. After the scene, head to Song Stone Park to find the SC Good Install 2. Now go to the inn and head to Hoshinose Ave. Go talk to the merchant here, and then go back to the inn and talk with Claire. Now make your way back to Hoshinose Ave. and watch the scene. Go to the inn this time for another scene. Grab the Topic on the ground near Claire. This Topic should enable you to enter Level 5 of Aurica's Cosmosphere. If you do plan on diving into her, you're going to need to make a certain item to complete Level 7. Go to Elemia Church now and then back to the Inn to rest and save. Now make your way to Silvaplate. ============== Silvaplate ============== Items ----- SC Lyra 1 SC Lyra 2 SC Lyra 3 -Head straight north for the next few screens until you can go east to reach the next area. Do so and continue to the east for the next couple of screens. Turn and go north again when you can and keep going until a split path comes into view. Take the left path and go up the stairs. At the Camp Tile here, continue to the north and head east past the house to find the SC Lyra 3. Go back and go north this time and continue to the north until you spot another item on the ground. Pick it up for the SC Lyra 2. Now take the nearby stairs. Go north, east, and then north again until you reach the Camp Tile. From here, go west, north, and then west again. Check behind the tree in this area for the SC Lyra 1 and continue north. Once you come across a Gate on the east, go through it. ============== Ion Plate ============== Items ----- N/A -Head east, and then north for the next two screens. Go east and then north and you'll find a Camp Tile. Save if you want to and continue to the west and then go north. After it, you'll be back in the previous room. Use the Camp Tile here and go south at the split. Grab the RC Best Medicine at the end and take the nearby teleporter. Go north until you reach a fork. Go west to find the RC Yellow Medicine A. Go back to the fork and hit the back of the mirror with Sonic Shot so that the light beam goes east. If you did it right, you'll hear a small chime. Go east and take the teleporter. Continue east until you reach the next fork. Go north to find a Optical Camo Robe and go back to the fork. Break the mirror this time with Fire Shot and go east again and take the next teleporter. Continue on until you reach the next fork. Go south and get the Regen Crystal and go back to the mirror. Hit it from the back with Sonic Shot so that the light beam goes north. Follow it and take the teleporter. Once you reach the next fork, go north to find the RC Spear 2. Go back to the fork and hit the mirror so that the light beam is going west. Follow it and take the next teleporter. Grab the nearby item bag for White Stone x10 and continue on to reach the next fork. Go south to find Shiny Fur x5 and go back to the fork and hit the mirror so that the light beam is going north. Follow it and take the telepoter. Get the Replica Horn x5 nearby and continue on. Hit the mirror so that the light beam is going to the east. After it, you'll be back in the control room. Watch the scene. Now make your way to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to Elemia Church and watch the scene. After it, go to the Inn for another scene. Head for Hoshinose Ave. to find Misha. Continue searching around the town. After searching all the possible spots, go back to the Inn and Claire will tell you where Aurica went. Head for the Hexagonal Plate. =============== Hexagonal Plate =============== Items ----- RC Jacket Dragon Heart Photon Oscilliscope Spoonful of HP RC Green Ring RC Drum -Head north and enter the dungeon. This time, at the first split, go east. Grab the RC Jacket in this room and continue on. Once you reach the next fork, jump on the block south of you and follow it. Grab the Dragon Heart and the Photon Oscilliscope in this room and go back to the fork. Go east this time and follow the path as it winds around. Go all the way north to find a chest that has a Spoonful of HP in it. Go back a little bit and continue to the east. Get the RC Green Ring in this room and continue off to the east. Now go north until you reach the Camp Tile. Grab the nearby item for the RC Drum, and continue following the path. Watch the following scene and you'll be back at Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Watch the scenes and make your way to the Dive House. You're going to need Leaf to dive in this time, so make sure to have some and dive into Aurica. Watch the scene (lots of sexual innuendo here. Some of it made me chuckle) and head for Elemia Church. After going to Elemia Church, watch the scenes and Falcon's Claw will become available on the map. ============== Falcon's Claw ============== Items ----- N/A -Head east for the first five screens. Go north after that, and then east twice more, and finally north. Watch the scene. Now go back to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to Elemia Church and talk with Falss. Now go to Firefly Alley. ============== Firefly Alley ============== Items ----- N/A -Find and talk to Spica. After the scene, head back to the Falcon's Claw. ============== Falcon's Claw ============== Items ----- N/A -Make your way back to where the statue is, and watch the scene. ============== Elemia Church ============== Items ----- RC Red Medicine A RC Katana 1 RC Gun 2 RC Sword 3 Stop Moving Resonance Shield Box High Frequency Voice RC Ramcluster Firefly Paper x5 Harmonizing Sound -Head through the nearby passage and get the RC Red Medicine A along the way. Use Fire Shot on the nearby Fire Tile too. Once you reach the fork, go east and through the red door. Grab the two items in here for an RC Katana 1 and a RC Gun 2. Go back to the fork and go west this time. At the next fork, go south and pick up the RC Sword 3 in here. Use Ice Shot on the Ice Tile here and go back to the previous fork and go north through the blue door. Grab the item in here for a Stop Moving and continue to the north, picking up the two items along the way for a Resonance Shield Box and a High Frequency Voice. Now make your way back to the very first fork of the dungeon and go north. Once you reach the Camp Tile, go north at the fork and get the RC Ramcluster. Now use your Gale Shot on the Gale Tile here and backtrack to the very first fork once again. Go west, north, north, and then east through the green door. Get the Firefly Paper x5 in this room and go back to the Camp Tile and go east. Go north and use your Thunder Shot on the Thunder Tile and go back east. Open the new chest for a Harmonizing Sound, and go back to the west. Go north until you reach the Camp Tile. Save your game. Before advancing, I'd go ahead and put some Fire Resistance Enhancing Crystals on your front line characters. Once you're ready, head north for a scene, and a fight. This fight is a bit more difficult, mainly because the Dragon Head can use an attack that does fire damage to all your characters (minus your Reyvateil) and has an attack that can poison everyone as well, so you may want to have Aurica use some healing songs from time to time. You should be able to take it down fairly quickly, though. After the fight, watch the scene and head back to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to Elemia Church and watch the scene. After it, head for Singing Hill. ============== Singing Hill ============== Items ----- N/A -Take the teleporter once you enter and keep going north to reach the next teleporter. Continue north for a scene. After it, go west for another scene and a couple of fights. After them, head back to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to Elemia Church, and then to the Inn. Talk with Claire. Now head for the Silvaplate. ============== Silvaplate ============== Items ----- N/A -Climb the tower until you reach the Em Pheyna Gate. A scene will occur then. After it, head for the World Map and select the Crescent Chronicle. ================== Crescent Chronicle ================== Items ----- RC Chain 2 RC Blue Medicine A RC Resonating Amplifier -Grab the nearby chest for the RC Chain 2, and go east at the fork. Watch the scene and go through the door. Another scene will kick up. Go through the nearby door and go north at the next area. Get the RC Blue Medicine A and RC Resonating Amplifier here and go through the door. Go through the next door and use the Camp Tile. Go through the final door. Watch the scene. Now it's time to make your way to the Altar of Apostles. Enter from the Frozen Eye Side. ================= Altar of Apostles ================= Items ----- N/A -Once you reach here, head west until you find the green Camp Tile. Take the north path at the split for a scene. You'll get into two fights before one last one. O-----------------O | Falss | O-----------------O | HP | 39096 | O-----------------O -Falss isn't that difficult. His attacks are pretty weak, and you shouldn't really need to heal at all during this fight if your levels are at a decent level. One thing to note about him though is that when he gets low on health, he'll use a skill that lets him get off about 4, 5 attacks in a row. Simply have Aurica use her best Red Song Magic and build up your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4 before finishing him off. After the fight, watch the scenes and head to Platina. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- N/A -Head for the Great Hall, and then explore around the town to find Radolf. Go ahead and do a little shopping if you want. Once you're ready, head to the world map and head to the Crescent Chronicle. ================== Crescent Chronicle ================== Items ----- ASL Circuit Satisfying Criticals Real Strong Major Damage + High Frequency Voice RC Sword 3 -Head east and at the fork, go north to find a ASL Circuit and continue to the north until you find an item that has a Satisfying Criticals in it. Now go east. At the fork here, go east and get the Real Strong here, and go back. Now go south and pick up the Major Damage + along the way, and continue to the south. Get the High Frequency Voice and RC Sword 3 along the way. Now do you remember that room where Misha was supposed to sing at in the past? Go there. A scene will trigger with Misha. Notice anything different about her? Looks like she got her adult body back. Now you can go to town on her (not really). Let's save that for later, and head back to Platina. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- N/A -Head for the main street and watch the following scenes. After them, head to Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Get for your Airship and watch the scene. If you don't have any Airmetal, you can buy it. You'll then get a Recipe Card for a Flipper. Aurica knows where to find the ingredient you don't have. To find Skuwat Village, go to Nemo on the world map and go to the right of it. ============== Skuwat Village ============== Items ----- Eastern Winds Master Grade Lots of MP SC Airship Notes B Skuwat Metal -From the start, take the first north branch and then go east. Go north again and then east and south to find a Camp Tile. From there, go east and south and then west to find two chests that has a Master Grade and Lots of MP in them. Go all the way to the east to reach the next area. Watch the scene and exit Aurica's house and continue to the east. Grab the item bag nearby for the SC Airship Notes B. Examine the rock for some Skuwat Metal. Before leaving, go visit Claire's house (it's on the northern most part of the map) and watch the scene. Now go to Nemo. ============== Nemo ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to the Inn and talk with Claire. Now go back to Skuwat Village. ============== Skuwat Village ============== Items ----- RC Basket -Go to Claire's house and examine the object on the end of the east side of the house for the RC Basket. Now make the Flipper and go to Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Head to where Krusche is and she'll ask if you're ready. Don't leave just yet. Instead, return to the world map and go to the Tail of Reminiscene, which is to the left of Skuwat Village. =================== Tail of Reminiscene =================== Items ----- Shiny Fur x5 Amazing Power Mastered Criticals Shooting Speed +++ Relaxation SC Airship Notes A Soleil Stone -This is pretty much a side track for you, but there are a handful of items here, so don't complain. From the start, head east and go south at the fork. Get the Shiny Fur x5 and Amazing Power here and go back and go north this time. Go east and then south until you reach the next fork. From here, go south to find three chests containing a Mastered Criticals, Shooting Speed +++, and a Relaxation. Go back and go north this time. Grab the nearby item bag for the SC Airship Notes 1 and continue to the east. Examine the statue for a Soleil Stone. Now make your way back to Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Go talk with Krusche. You won't be able to come back down here for awhile, so make sure you're completely ready when you tell Krusche when you're ready. Watch the scene and a fight occurs. O-----------------O | Slepnir | O-----------------O | HP | 43773 | O-----------------O -This guy isn't all that difficult. Though his normal attacks do quite a bit of damage, there's one thing you can take advantage of here. Whenever he uses his Stock attack, use all three characters to guard Aurica. Once he uses the move, and you counter, he'll go into a Sleep which lasts for a few moments, so take this time to use your best attacks on him. If you have a decent Grathnode Crystal set up for your equipment, you can take him out before he can wake up. After the scenes, you'll be at a new location. ============== Blastplate ============== Items ----- Harmonion SC Battle Secrets 2 Thundershroom x10 D2 Cell Ultimate Fang x10 -Head north. Use the Camp Tile and go north to find a Harmonion, and then head east to reach the next screen. Get the nearby SC Battle Secrets 2 and continue along to the north. Pick up the Thundershroom x10 along the way and go north at the fork. Pick up the D2 Cell here and continue to the west. From here, go north, east, and north again until you reach another fork. Go east to find Ultimate Fang x10 (holy damn... can't say I was disappointed in that) and go back to the fork and go north this time. Go north, west, and north to reach the next area. ============== Observatory ============== Items ----- Optical Camo Robe -Use the nearby Camp Tile and go east. Get the Optical Camo Robe here and go back and go west and through the door. Watch the scene here. Thankfully, you can Recrystallize and Dive by talking to Mei Mei. Go to the Camp Tile and talk with Misha. This should enable you to dive into Level 8 of her Cosmosphere, so go ahead and do it. If you haven't dived into Misha since she regained her adult body, you'll clear the Cosmosphere M, which lands you her China outfit. You'll need to pay some more Leaf to dive back in and complete Level 8. Also, if you haven't done so yet, make the Don Leon doll and finish off Level 7 of Aurica's Cosmosphere. You should be able to complete Levels 8 and 9 now, with you landing the Lilim outfit for Aurica. (lolboobs) Whenever you're done diving or recrystallizing, go back to the Camp Tile and go north. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Gundam4fun: ------------------------ There is another item in the same room as you find the Optical Camo Robe, just stand on the top of the black tile that have a design on it and press X, it is an elevator, and it will go up and you will find a GC: [P4] Aegis Protector. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ============== Prism Garden ============== Items ----- SC L's Tower News 5 RC Coffin Rapid Movement Yuteria x5 Overcome Lightning An Amazing Shield Bare MP For Red RC Cage RC Armor A Lots of HP RC Canned Stuff SC L's Tower News 2 -This place is huge, but the enemies do give out some good experience here. Also, the encounter gauge won't drain so quickly while you're in here, so take note of that if you start getting low on health. From the start, go north at the fork and get the SC L's Tower News 5 and go back to the fork. Go east, north, and east again. Once you're as far east as you can go, examine the machine with the red lines around it to reconnect the cables. Get used to doing this. Now go back to the fork again and go north and ride the elevator. Grab the RC Coffin here. At the fork, go east and pick up the Rapid Movement along the way. Go all the way east and connect the cables here and backtrack to the fork. Go west and south and ride the platform here. Pick up the Yuteria x5 and make your way back to the first floor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Gustuf: -------------------- in prism garden floor 1 (the place that you back and forth hitting all those damn switches), near one of the first switches is a small hidden path facing 2 o clock with 2 chests. also in prism garden, either floor 1 or 2, along one of the walls(very general i know, sorry) is a hidden switch that when you press it it will open up a section of the wall which leads to a treasure. i found it my first playthrough which was a while ago but missed it the second time and i don't remember where or what, but it wasnt anything noticable... probably an optical robe or something like that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go west twice and ride the shuttle here. Go east until you reach a fork. Go north to find an Overcome Lightning. Go back to the fork and go east. At the next fork, go east and ride the platform that's in the middle and open the chest up here for An Amazing Shield. Go back down and continue east until you reach the next fork. Go north to find a Bare MP For Red, and backtrack to the previous fork. Go all the way east and reconnect the cables here. Make your way back to the second floor. Go west and ride the elevator. Go east and at the fork, go north to find the RC Cage. Go back to the fork and go east this time and continue to the east past the fork. Pick up the RC Armor A along the way and reconnect the cables once you reach them. Now go north and open the two chests here for a Lots of HP and RC Canned Stuff. Ride the elevator. Continue to the west and use the Camp Tile here if you want. At the fork, go north and watch the scene here. Reconnect the cables and go back to the fork and go west. Reconnect the cables again and take the elevator down. Make your way back down to the third floor. Go east and then north at the fork and ride the shuttle. Go west and pick up SC L's Tower News 2 along the way, and continue north to exit this area. ============== S.P.U ============== Items ----- N/A -Head up the stairs and through the door here. If you've already completed Level 9 of Aurica's Cosmosphere, there's one more level you can complete. Upon completeing it, you'll gain a couple of more songs and a new costume for Aurica. Whenever you're ready, head back to the S.P.U ============== S.P.U ============== Items ----- SC ABR Secrets 5 -Make your way back up the stairs and through the door. Watch the scene and you'll get into a fight with a couple of Elmas. Once they're done for, go north and grab the item bag in here for the SC ABR Secrets 5 and continue to the north. ============== Catwalk ============== Items ----- Elemia Talisman RC Spear 3 Relaxation Recovery Chip -Go north and up the stairs until you reach a fork. Go west and open the chest for an Elemia Talisman. Go back and continue going north. Pick up the RC Spear 3 along the way and continue going up the stairs until you hit a Camp Tile. Make sure to save your game and Grathmeld any healing items you can. When you're ready, head north for a scene. O-----------------O | Ayatane | O-----------------O | HP | 29492 | O-----------------O -Ayatane's attacks do a lot of damage, so you'll either want your Reyvateil to use some Song Magic to boost your defense or have someone use a healing item after every attack Ayatane makes. Thankfully, Ayatane can only hit one party member at a time, so you shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with him. I would highly suggest getting your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4, though. Just use your best attacks and stay ontop of healing and he'll be down in no time. After the fight, make sure to go back and heal up. Now go a bit west of where you fought Ayatane and pick up the Relaxation here. Take the stairs and continue going north. Get the Recovery Chip along the way and keep going up the stairs until a scene triggers. After it, make sure to use the Camp Tile here and head north one last time. Watch the scene. You'll have to fight a very easy Guardian first. After it goes down, the real fun begins. O------------------O | Shurelia | O------------------O | HP | 24892 | O------------------O -Shurelia is pretty tough. Her attacks do a lot of damage. The one attack you want to watch out for is when she uses an attack to hit your entire party for around 700-1000 damage, and it has the possibility to hit you multiple times, so get some healing items ready. Have Aurica support you in this fight but also make sure to get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. Have your front line use their best attacks, whereas Aurica should switch between support and attack mode. She'll fall eventually. But wait, the fun isn't over yet. O------------------O | Shadow Mir | O------------------O | HP | 47165 | O------------------O -Wow... talk about ripping off the Queen Alien. Shadow Mir fights exactly like Shurelia did, only she can do a bit more damage, so have Aurica either support you or attack to get your Harmonic Gauge to level 4. I also noticed that Shadow Mir likes to target the Reyvateil you're using a lot more often than previous bosses for some reason, so make sure to stay ontop of healing and drop your attacking and protect your Reyvateil when needed. If you have the Ar tonelico Song Magic with Aurica, you can end this fight quickly by getting it to Level 4. After the fight, watch the scene, and the credits start rolling. Hold on there, partner. Don't hit that reset button just yet, as the game isn't over. You'll be back in Platina. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- N/A -Your party will seperate. Watch the scene. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ What you're about to get is a critical choice in which you can end the game right now, or you can continue on towards Phase 3. After the scene with everyone departing, you'll get two choices. If you wish to end the game right here and get one of the Aurica endings, select the first choice. If you wish to continue to Phase 3, select the second choice. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Of course, I picked the second choice so I can help you out even more. Talk with Noelle. Now go to Nemo and enter the Elemia Church. Go explore around both the Falcon's Claw and Singing Hill. Go to Firefly Alley and talk with Spica for a scene. Before advancing any further, here's something interesting for you. Do you remember when you were escaping the Tenba Labs, and there was a door that Misha didn't want to go through? If you break down that door and go through it, you can transform Misha back into her 12 year old body, and then back into her 18 year old body if you want. Continue north, picking up the RC King's Crown and go east. At the fork you come across, go east and use the Camp Tile to heal up if you want. Continue to the east and get the Dragon Fillet x5. Take the right path at the split here and get the RC Gun 4 on this screen. Go back and take the left path this time and go north at the fork. Get the RC Barrel and backtrack to the previous fork and go east twice, and then north to find the RC Super Weapon. From the start, head east and ride the shuttle up. Go east to find a Brave Note and head north until you reach a fork. Go west to find a Greater Damage + and go back to the fork and go east and pick up the Ion Board along the way. Backtrack to the fork once more and go north, picking up the Strong Feelings. Now continue to the east and then north until you reach yet another fork. Go west and get the Red Stone in this room and backtrack to the fork and go south. Pick up the Very Strong and Fire Chaser in this room and go back to the fork once more and go east. Get the Beak Breath x5. At the next fork, go south to find a Bushido Spirit. Make your way eastward, picking up the Optical Camo Robe along the way. Go south once you can and then west to find a Shooting Speed +++. Once you reach a Camp Tile, pick up the nearby Dragon Heart and go west to find a Blessed Power and a Real Power. Continue on and watch the scene. After it, go west until you get the option of going north. Do so and watch the following scene. After it, go east until you reach another fork. Go north to find a Harmonion and backtrack to the fork. Go east to reach another fork. Go north this time for a Jelly Weapon. Go back to the previous fork and go east until you reach yet another Camp Tile. Head a bit east and watch the scene. O----------------------O | Ikaruga Mk. II | O----------------------O | HP | 70000 | O----------------------O -The Ikaruga has a lot, and I mean a lot of defense (9999 to be exact), so your weapons won't be working here as effectively as before. Your first priority is to get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4, so have your Reyvateil use their Infinite Charge Song Magic to build it up. Once you get to Level 4, start using your most powerful Song Magic. The Ikaruga may have a lot of defense, but it's attack is pretty pathetic, so you should be able to take it down before you need to heal. Just make sure to guard your Reyvateil whenever needed. After the Ikaruga falls, go east a bit more to find the RC Best Medicine. After getting it, go back to the Camp Tile and go north this time. At the next fork, go north to find a Mastered Criticals. Backtrack to the fork and go east this time and then north. Go north at the next fork for an All Resists Boost. Go back and go east this time, picking up the SC Picking On Children and RC Synapse along the way. Make your way north now. At the next fork, go east to find the RC Chain 4. Backtrack to the second fork and go north and take the left path here to find the RC Origin of Creation and go back and east to find the RC Cell. Now go north and east to find the RC Rectifier. Go back and then go north to find the RC Katana 2. Go south for three screens and take the left path this time. Go east at the fork and go north twice to find the RC Grathnode Disc. Backtrack to the fork and head west to find hte RC Booster. Go back and go north to find a Cosmo Diamond. Use the Camp Tile here. Make sure to properly equip Shurelia before advancing. Once you're ready, head north and watch the scene. You'll fight the Child of Light here. Shurelia will be your Reyvateil for this fight, so you have no say in the matter. The Child of Light does a lot of damage, so make sure to have either Shurelia get your defense up to start the fight or have her start helping get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. After it gets to level 4, have Shurelia build up Ar tonelico until the Burst reaches Level 4. Once it does, let loose with it. Watch the scenes after the fight, and Ayatane will rejoin the party. You'll be back at Nemo. Watch the scenes again, and the Silver Horn will be available on the map. ============== Silver Horn ============== Items ----- Galaxy Flare SC ABR Secrets 6 RC Spear 4 D2 Cell x2 RC Armor B Draconian Seal RC Water Tank -Head north a bit from the entrance and take the first west available. Get the Galaxy Flare here and go back and continue going north and then west at the next split. Once you reach the Camp Tile, pick up the nearby SC ABR Secrets 6 and take the right set of stairs on the bottom. Go south and take the teleporter and continue north. Once you reach a fork, go south to find the RC Spear 4. Go back and go west and follow the path as it bends. Push the button in this room and backtrack to where the 4 stairs are. Take the middle set of stairs this time and follow the path south and take the teleporter. Follow the path until you reach the next fork. Go south to find D2 Cell x2. Go back and go west and follow the path around and push the button in. Make your way back to where the four stairs are. Take the lower left stairs (not the stairs on the far left side) and go south and take the teleporter. Follow the path and go south at the fork and pick up the RC Armor B. Go back and go west and follow the path. Push the button in and go back to where the 4 stairs are one more time. Take the far west stairs now and go south and take the teleporter. Go east and use the Camp Tile. Hit the switch here with your Sonic Shot and watch the scene, and then a fight. O---------------O | A.B.R | O---------------O | HP | 60788 | O---------------O -This boss is actually the three previous A.B.R's combined. If you attack one part, it'll use Full Recovery. What you should do is use Primal Word with Shurelia (she's required for this fight) and let loose with the song, and the A.B.R will absorb it. After it does, it'll split apart. Take this time to quickly take out the part that uses Full Recovery. Its attacks are far from deadly, and shouldn't do that much at all, so just keep pounding on them with your best attacks. After the scene, go up the stairs on the north part of the room and go east along the pipe to find a chest that has a Draconian Seal in it. Go back down and get the chest down here for the RC Water Tank. Go east once more to the next screen and watch the scene. You'll be in Em Pheyna. Now head for the Crescent Chronicle. ================== Crescent Chronicle ================== Items ----- N/A -Head to where Tastiella is and talk to her. After the scene, she'll step out of the way. Make sure to make plenty of Restore Bombs and Bolt Angels and save your game. Here's how my front line looked before I went in to fight Mir. Note that you don't need this set up, and I don't recommend using it. Lyner ----- Level 79 Hit Points: 7055 Attack: 2127 Defense: 2457 Agility: 732 Equipment --------- Eversong [Upgrade, Knight's Spirit, Very Fast, Very Strong] Guardian of Elemia [Extreme Speed, Stamina Plus, Fast Move, Regen Crystal] Ring of Aria [Running Fire, Curing Amber, Very Fast, Elemia Talisman] Radolf ------ Level 79 Hit Points: 6099 Attack: 1715 Defense: 2312 Agility: 187 Equipment --------- Element Spear [Double Attack, Curing Amber, Fast Move, Real Strong] Eoria's Wing [Rock of Healing, Quick Move, Fire Chaser, Bushido Spirit] Resonance Shield Box [Reinforcement Chip, Rather Strong] Ayatane ------- Level 76 Hit Points: 6369 Attack: 2093 Defense: 1679 Agility: 600 Equipment --------- Zetsuei & Zanma [Double Attack, Curing Amber, Bushido Spirit, Galaxy Flare] Airmetal Jacket [Reinforcement Chip, Windy Follower, Fast Move, Regen Crystal] Resonance Shield Box [Upgrade, Curing Amber] Once you're ready, go through the door and watch the scene. O-------------O | Mir | O-------------O -Mir is pretty tough. Hopefully you made those Restore Bombs, because you're going to need them for this part of the fight. The Majority of Mir's attacks hit the entire front line and they hit for good damage. Mir will also use attacks that will cause Curse on your party, as well as reduce your Speed. You may think Mir keeps recovering herself to full, but she actually has 3 parts that you need to take down. Each of Mir's attacks will heal her up for around 7,000 or so damage. If you're using Aurica or Shurelia, start using Ar tonelico and charge it up all the way to Burst Level 4. One of those with a proper Install should be able to take out a body part when it reaches past the 15,000% mark. Use Tower Connection if you're using Misha. If you have enough healing supplies, you can probably handle healing yourself with your front line characters. Just try to get the Harmonic Gauge to at least Level 3 so you can use the better of your physical attacks. Just keep healing and attacking. After Mir goes down, watch the following scene. O-------------O | Mir | O-------------O -Mir, while not as dangerous as her previous form, is still really dangerous because of one thing: she can hit your entire party, including your Reyvateil. You read that right. She can directly attack your Reyvateil this time around. Like the previous battle, if you're using Aurica or Shurelia, have them build up an Ar tonelico, and if you're using Misha, have her use Tower Connection. Mir only has two attacks this time: one that hits a single front line member, and the other one hits your entire party. If your Reyvateil falls, revive her immediately and keep attacking. Mir has a lot HP, so make sure to keep yourself at full health at all times while your Reyvateil focuses on increasing their Song Magic. After the fight, watch the scenes. Once you're in control again, visit the following places: -Platina: Great Hall. Talk with Leard. -Em Pheyna: Talk with Flute. -Nemo: Talk with Claire. -Firefly Alley: Go to Tenba HQ and talk with the President. After you do that, some more scenes occur, and the ending credits roll. I like the song that plays here. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you've completed all 5 Levels of Shurelia's Cosmosphere, you'll get another choice. You get a choice of either staying with Shurelia on Platina, or staying with Aurica. Of course, if you choose Shurelia, then you'll get the Shurelia ending. Picking Aurica will net you the final ending for Aurica's path. Choose whichever you want. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Congratulations! You've beaten Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia. After you save your game, go to the Title Screen and check out the Extra section. You can view some photos, listen to some music, read up on the cards you recieved during the game, and other things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ar Tonelico: Phase 2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Misha ----- (ATMP) After you choose to join the search team, head for the Altar of Apostles. ================= Altar of Apostles ================= Items ----- N/A -Just follow Shurelia and watch the scene. ============== Frozen Eye ============== Items ----- N/A -Head west until you reach Em Pheyna. ============== Em Pheyna ============== Items ----- N/A -Go to the Temple Ground and watch the scene. Once you reach the next fork, go south to find a Mastered Criticals, Shooting Speed +++, and a Relaxation. Go back to the fork and go east, and then north. Grab the item bag in this area for the SC Airship Notes A and go east. After the scene, examine the statue for a Soleil Stone. Before going back to Viola Forest, let's take a detour. Exit back to the World Map and enter the Skuwat Village. ============== Skuwat Village ============== Items ----- Eastern Winds Master Grade Lots of MP SC Airship Notes B Skuwat Metal -At the very first fork, go north and then west to find a chest containing an Eastern Winds. Go back and go east this time. At the next fork, go nort to reach the next screen. Go east and south to reach a Camp Tile. From there, go east and south again and then west to find two chests containing a Master Grade and a Lots of MP. Go east and continue east, grabbing the SC Airship Notes B along the way. Examine the rock in the same area for some Skuwat Metal. Now make your way back to Viola Forest. ============== Viola Forest ============== Items ----- N/A -Use the Camp Tile to save and make the Sharing Core. Once you do, talk with Krusche and tell her you're ready to go. Watch the scene, and then a fight will occur. O-----------------O | Slepnir | O-----------------O | HP | 43773 | O-----------------O -This guy isn't all that difficult. Though his normal attacks do quite a bit of damage, there's one thing you can take advantage of here. Whenever he uses his Stock attack, use all three characters to guard Misha. Once he uses the move, and you counter, he'll go into a Sleep which lasts for a few moments, so take this time to use your best attacks on him. If you have a decent Grathnode Crystal set up for your equipment, you can take him out before he can wake up. After the scenes, you'll be at a new location. ============== Blastplate ============== Items ----- Harmonion SC Battle Secrets 3 Thundershroom x10 D2 Cell Ultimate Fang x10 -Head north. Use the Camp Tile and go north to find a Harmonion, and then head east to reach the next screen. Get the nearby SC Battle Secrets 3 and continue along to the north. ============== Observatory ============== Items ----- Optical Camo Robe Aegis Protector -Use the Camp Tile and go east. Go back to the fork and go east this time. Go north, east, and then all the way east. Reconnect the cables here and go back to the lift at the beginning and ride it. Go west to find a chest with the RC Coffin in it, and then go east. Examine the nearby wall to reveal a hidden path and follow the path to find an Optical Camo Robe. Go back and head north and through the door. Go east and get the Rapid Move here. Go north and then east and reconnect the cables. Make your way back to the first floor. Go west once and examine the wall on the north end of the room for another hidden path. Go north and grab the Ion Board x5 and go back and go west again and ride the shuttle. Go south and through the door. At the fork, go north to find an Overcome Lightning. Go back and go east this time. Ride the platform that's in the middle of the room and open the chest for An Amazing Shield. Go back down and from the Camp Tile, go east. At the next fork, go north to find a Bare MP For Red. Go back to the fork and go east this time and go all the way east to reconnect some more cables. Make your way back to the second floor. Go west and then south, riding the platform to find an item bag with Yuteria x5 in it. Ride the platform again and go north and ride the elevator. Go south and go through the door. Go east and at the fork, go north to find the RC Cage. Go back and go east and keep going east until you find a chest that has the RC Armor A in it. Go east again and reconnect the cables here. Instead of going back this time, go north and grab the nearby chest for a Lots of HP. Go west and past the elevator for another chest that has the RC Canned Stuff in it. Ride the elevator. Go north and west until you reach a Camp Tile. Go north and watch the scene. After it, reconnect the cables and go back and west this time. Reconnect the cables and go through the door and ride the shuttle. Make your way back to the third floor. Go east at the fork and then turn and go north and ride the shuttle here. Go west and pick up the SC L's Tower News 2 along the way, and then go north. ============== S.P.U ============== Items ----- N/A -Go up the stairs and then through the door. It's not a tough fight, but try to get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. After the fight, watch the scene and head north and pick up the SC ABR Secrets 5. Continue heading north until you reach the next area. Have Misha support you in this fight but also make sure to get your Harmonic Gauge to Level 4. Have your front line use their best attacks, whereas Misha should switch between support and attack mode. She'll fall eventually. But wait, the fun isn't over yet. O------------------O | Shadow Mir | O------------------O | HP | 47165 | O------------------O -Wow... talk about ripping off the Queen Alien. Shadow Mir fights exactly like Shurelia did, only she can do a bit more damage, so have Misha either support you or attack to get your Harmonic Gauge to level 4. I also noticed that Shadow Mir likes to target the Reyvateil you're using a lot more often than previous bosses for some reason, so make sure to stay ontop of healing and drop your attacking and protect your Reyvateil when needed. If you have the Tower Connection song with Misha, you can end this fight quickly by getting it to Level 4. After the fight, watch the scene, and the credits start rolling. Hold on there, partner. Don't hit that reset button just yet, as the game isn't over. You'll be back in Platina. ============== Platina ============== Items ----- N/A -Your party will seperate. Radolf is at the Plaza, Aurica is at the Inn, and Jack is at the Department store. Make sure to save your game here, as a critical choice is coming up really soon. Go to the Altar of Apostles and head south and through the door on the far end to find Krusche. If you wish to end the game right here and get one of the Misha endings, select the first choice. If you wish to continue to Phase 3, select the second choice. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Of course, I picked the second choice so I can help you out even more. Take the right path at the split here and get the RC Gun 4 on this screen. Go back and take the left path this time and go north at the fork. Do so and then go west until you reach a Camp Tile. From there, go west for a scene and continue to the west until you find a door you can go through. Watch the small scene and go east and through the door. Go east, ignoring the doors (again, you've been here already) and continue east until you find a Camp Tile. Go east a bit for scene. After the scene, head north through the newly opened door. Go east to reach a fork. Go north at the fork to find a Mastered Criticals. Go back to the fork and go east and then north. At the next fork, go north to find an All Resists Boost, and then go back to the fork once more and go east. Pick up the SC Picking On Children and the RC Synapse, and then go north. At the next fork, go all the way east to find a chest that has the RC Chain 4 in it. Go back a bit and then north to find yet another fork. Go west this time and pick up the RC Origin of Creation in the next room. Go back to the fork and go east this time and pick up the RC Cell, then go north. Go east to find the RC Rectifier. Go back a little bit and then go north to find a chest with the RC Katana 2 in it. Go south for three screens, and then west and north through the passage. Go east at the fork and then north for the RC Grathnode Disc. Go back to the fork and go west to find a chest containing the RC Booster. Go back a bit and then head north. Open the chest for a Cosmo Diamond, and then use the Camp Tile to heal up and go north. After the fight, watch the scenes and Ayatane will join up with you. You'll be back at Nemo. After the scenes, head for the Silver Horn. ================== Crescent Chronicle ================== Items ----- N/A -Make your way to Tastiella and talk with her. After the scene, she'll move out of the way. Before advancing any further, follow the east path and you'll find a gate. You can break it down, but you'll need at least a Shooting Speed +++ and a Shooting Power x3 on the Green Magic of your choice. After you break down the gate, feel free to explore behind it, as there are some pretty good items there. Make sure to make plenty of healing items. You get a choice of either staying with Shurelia on Platina, or staying with Misha. Of course, if you choose Shurelia, then you'll get the Shurelia ending. Picking Misha will net you the final ending for Misha's path. Choose whichever you want. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Congratulations! Tips/Tricks =================== This section of the guide will list user posted or submitted tricks on certain aspects of the game, such as making easy money or Recrystallization tricks. Keep in mind that these are words of the posters or submitters, not my own words. I did not find any of these. If you have a legit Tip or Trick (saving your game and loading it if you do something wrong doesn't count as a trick), please e-mail me all the steps to it and the title of the trick. IF YOU DID NOT FIND THE TRICK, PLEASE GIVE THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS NAME OR DON'T SEND IT AT ALL. I will not post a trick that someone else takes credit for when they didn't find it in the first place. --------------------------------- Unlimited S ranked crystals trick --------------------------------- Submitted by: Gustuf. Many thanks to him/her for allowing me to post this. Remember, Gustuf found this, not me, and these words are theirs. You can do this as soon as your 2nd trip to Platina(middle of phase 2ish) and all the materials can be gotten within Platina. The only thing you need are the recipes, 2000 leaf per S crystal, and only one A ranked crystal to start. Recipes required are ionization liquid and acordonite, which are required for a storyline craft. You can start doing this as soon as you get the recipies before you can buy the liquids, but you must manually make all the previous steps. 1) make dreamwaters using an A ranked crystal (only need to do this step once, use whatever useless A rank crystal you have - i used bushido spirit, but it has to be A, no S) 2) make ionization liquid with the specific dreamwater to get A ranked liquid. now that your ionization liquids are at A rank, you can buy as much as you want at the funbun vendor in Platina for under 300 each. 3) buy ion boards at either Em whatever or department store in Platina for 1500 each 4) combine ionization liquid with ion board to make Ancondolite rank A 5) decrystalize Acondolite rank A to get Genius 100, rank S crystal. 6) recombine and decrystalize as necessary it only took me about 50 genius 100's to remake all my recipes into S. Once you make the basic ingredients like medicine, white powder, etc (sorry i chose the names i set it as and i dont remember the original names), you can buy those items on vendors and continue fuse items from there without using a genius each time. Have fun decrystalizing your S ranked items! =================== 15.) FAQ =================== Q: Where can I find some Funny Clothes? A: From what I've seen from my playthrough, Mech Masters drop them as a Grade 2 item. You can fight them in the Prism Garden. Q: Why can't I equip some of Misha's Costumes? A: If Misha is in Child form, she can only equip the costumes that she obtained while she was a child in her Cosmosphere. Likewise with the adult costumes. If you need to see which costumes she can equip in her Child or Adult forms, please look at the Costume section of the guide. Q: What do I do with the card packs from Firefly Alley? A: Open up your Item menu and choose to use them. You'll get some random cards from them. Q: Should I take Aurica's or Misha's path? A: Completely up to you. Q: Where can I find *insert item here* A: Make sure to check out every store from time to time, as they tend to get new items in stock. Refer to the walkthrough to find certain items, or try your luck with certain card packs. Q: I just made the Sharing Core and I'm about to board the airship. Where's Krusche? A: Copied and pasted from the appropriate section: There's a chance that your game will glitch out here after making the Sharing Core. According to Bladegash, when you were at the Tail of Reminiscence, when you approach the statue where you get the Soleil Stone, a flashback will occur. After the scene, walk towards the statue and MAKE SURE ONE LAST SCENE WITH MISHA OCCURS. If you get the Soleil Stone without watching that scene, chances are Krusche will disappear after you make the Sharing Core. Bladegash says this is a theory, but he has been experimenting with it, so make sure not to get the Stone right after the flashback is over. After the flashback, make sure Misha gets one more scene BEFORE getting the stone. If your game glitches, you need to reload a previous save BEFORE getting the Soleil Stone. If you made a save after it, you're pretty much screwed and have to start over, as there's only one Soleil Stone in the game, and that was it. =================== 16.) Credits/Thanks =================== GameFAQs and the other hosting sites: For hosting this guide.
