This guide will provide you with a full walkthrough for all the game's missions, the controls, the unlockables and the overall story of the game for those who wish to know it without picking up the game. I hope it helps out somewhat. 24 is the greatest show on TV (IMO, but its true fools!) and obviously a game of the series has caught many peoples interest. Set between Seasons 2 and 3, it provides some insight to what happened to the characters of the series in the three years between the two seasons. It's a pretty good game, although it's dogged by horrid aiming and control issues and general low difficulty throughout. As said it's still an enjoyable game and one that fans of the series must pick up! - Reyn =============================================================================== --------------------- TABLE OF CONTENTS --------------------- =============================================================================== 1. GAME OVERVIEW -------------------- =============================================================================== =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2.01. Story =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is the story of 24: The Game. Note that this is lifted directly from the manual and so is not my own words. If you want the complete story, then check the relevant section toward the end of the guide. -- The following takes place six months before the end of season two, and two and a half years before the beginning of season three of 24. President David Palmer is slowly recovering from a failed assassination attempt on his life. While incapacitated, his Vice President, James Prescott, is serving as the Acting President until Palmer is well enough to resume control. The story begins shortly before 06:00am. Following an anonymous tip off, a Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) team, lead by Jack Bauer, arrives at the Port of Los Angeles to investigate suspicions that a container vessel harboured in the docks is carrying a shipment of deadly bio-toxins. The team awaits the order to advance... The seconds tick by... What happens next sets in motion a chain of events, ensuring that this day goes down in history as one of the most frantic 24 hours in the lives of everyone involved... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 2.02. Game Modes and Controls =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This section explains and gives you controls for the main modes of the game. Some modes, such as the Sniper part and the Minigun Chopper missions aren't included. However the action, driving, sequence breaker etc ones are. --------------- Action Missions --------------- Left Analog Stick - Move Character Right Analog Stick - Move Camera D-Pad - Up / Down (Equipment), Left / Right (Weapons) X - Sprint Square - Melee / Takedown Circle - Clamber Triangle - Stealth Mode L1 - Aim L2 - Center camera behind character L3 - N/A R1 - Fire R2 - Action (ie. talk) R3 - Reload SELECT - Objectives START - PDA / Pause Action mode is the main part of the game. You play as either Jack, Tony, Chase and a few other characters following the yellow markers on the map and completing the various objectives. You can also enter stealth mode by pressing Triangle, and if you get behind an enemy you can silently kill them using Square (Takedown). ---------------- Driving Missions ---------------- Left Analog Stick - Steer Vehicle Right Analog Stick - Up - Accelerate, Back - Brake / Reverse X - Accelerate Square - Brake Circle - Handbreak Turn Triangle - View Change L1 - Look Behind L2 - Map R1 - Handbreak Turn START - Pause Standard driving controls apply here, and you have to usually go to the yellow marker on the map, or follow vehicles. You may also have other vehicles chasing you in some missions. Certain missions allow you to get out and use other vehicles, handy for when you've damaged them too much. ---------------------- Interrogation Missions ---------------------- This is essentially a timing minigame where you have to break the suspect into giving you information. You need to focus on the Stress Graph in the bottom corner. His level will fluctuate up and down constantly, and you have to keep it within the blue bar in order to extract information. You can make it shift up by pressing Triangle, down by pressing X or Square to keep it at about the same area. Each time you do it successfully the green meter to the right of the graph will fill up, needing ten times all together to pass. On the ninth, you'll have to break him by pressing Circle in the stress zone. ------------------------ Circuit Breaker Minigame ------------------------ You'll get this either as the mission itself or in a mission. You have to link yourself up to the yellow cubes by creating paths between other cubes. Each path is represented by either the X, Circle, Triangle or Circle buttons. For bigger maps you can also move around the circuit by using the left analog stick. Also note that on the start and yellow cubes you have time to plan your route, however on other cubes you only have a certain amount of time before you must choose a path, otherwise you fail. As each circuit is randomised no concrete walkthrough can be given; just remember that on the start and yellow cubes quickly plan a route - look at all the paths shown and look for ones that cannot possibly link up to the next yellow cube ie. any dead ends. -------------------------- Sequence Analyser Minigame -------------------------- This occurs during several missions in the game. You have to reorder the letter order until you get the right code. This is random so no concrete answer can be given, but just to get the first letter (move each letter one by one to the far left) until you get that, then the second one etc until they are all done. Chances are you'll most of the letters as you are rearranging for the first few anyway. =============================================================================== ------------------ 3. WALKTHROUGH ------------------ =============================================================================== =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.01. Missions 1-10 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ----------------------------- Mission 1 - Storming the Ship ----------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 25 (50%) + Head Shots - 5 (30%) + Accuracy - 75% (10%) + Enemies Restrained - 2 (10%) - Team-mates Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 1 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head up the stairs and on to the ship, and head up more stairs and on to the yellow marker around the corner. Press the X button here to press against the wall. Read the instructions on the screen, basically telling you how to aim toward enemies. Press L1 to do so, and flick the right analog stick to change enemy you aim at. Once the instructions are done with, fire at each enemy to take them down. Move away from the wall to stop pressing against it, search their bodies for more 9mm ammo then head around the corner to the yellow marker by the door way. Head down the stairs with your team mates and wait for them to blow the door open (stand back). There are a few enemies in here, so run in and hide behind the first bench and shoot out when they reload. Also, shout R2 to 'announce' - this makes them surrender and put their hands up. Chances are an enemy will do this regardless of you asking them to, mainly for training purposes. Either way if an enemy does surrender, run over and around behind them and press X to restrain them. You automatically get their ammo too. Search the other bodies and head through the door to the right. Head through the two rooms, and hide behind the table in the third where there enemies are at the far side. Take them out; a good tip is to reload while you are hiding against the enemy gunfire. Get their ammo by searching the bodies after and proceed down the corridor that follows. Enter the room on the left to find some Body Armour and Shotgun Shells. Head back out and into the room at the end of the corridor. Head through this room, where two enemies await in the one following. Again, use the table as soon as you enter as cover and get the ammo from their bodies afterward. Head through the doorway, down the stairs and wait for your team mates to blow this door open. Run in, up the steps in front of you and take out the enemy on this platform and hide behind the grey panel on the left to guard against the enemy fire from the people in this room. Take them all out. Collect their ammo, head around to the far end where the doorway is at the corner. Two enemies will pop out just before you head down the stairs here. Go down into the engine room. An enemy will run out ahead so take him out, around the corner where a few more enemies will run across. Just aim and shoot at them as soon as they appear so they don't get the chance to shoot at you; if you fancy it, shoot the yellow canisters to blow the suckers up! Head round and down the stairs, straight on and right around the engines. An enemy will run out a head. Dispose of him, round the corner and stand facing the doorway at the opposite end. Three enemies will gradually run out; shoot them each before they can do any harm to you. Check the map to ensure no more come out, then go through the doorway to outside. At around this time a four minute countdown will begin (real time) but you'll have enough time to finish the mission, so don't panic. Outside the screen will split, showing an enemy surrounded by explosive canisters. Got any idea what you should do here? Shoot the canisters to take him out, then run over to the left and hide and dispose of the remaining shooters above. Follow your team mates and clamber over the objects just below where the right set of shooters where. Collect their ammo and drop down the other side; around five or six enemies are here, some by the door and others to the left side. Remember that you'll need to have your camera aimed toward them to lock on (one of the games annoying tendencies) and once they are disposed of, head through the door after it's been blown. After the mini-cutscene, head over and up the green stairs on the far end of the room and stand at the yellow marker next to the ricin bomb to finish. 90%+ Tips - This shouldn't be too hard to meet seeming as Accuracy only counts as a tenth of the overall grade. Just ensure that you kill every enemy you come across, try and fit in a few headshots (I tend to do this with the first five enemies to get it out of the way) and to Announce in every room you come across to try and get enemies to surrender. ------------------------------- Mission 2 - Ricin Wired to Blow ------------------------------- - Time - 00:45 - Connections Used - 9 This mission uses the Circuit-Breaker mini-game. Basically, you have to link yourself up to the yellow cubes by creating paths between other cubes. 90%+ Tips - Just try and do this as fast as you can and do any planning of routes quickly. --------------------------- Mission 3 - Chase Found Out --------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 30 (50%) + Head Shots - 10 (40%) + Accuracy - 75% (10%) - Health Used - 0 - Alarms Triggered - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Turn around and take out the first Comms Point by the door, then proceed down the corridor through the doorway. Two enemies stand at the end of the next corridor to the left; pop round and quickly take them out before either one of them runs toward your position and activates the alarm opposite the door way here. Search their bodies for RC Micro ammo, and check out the toilets at the end for a Health Pack on the sink. Head down the corridor and enter the room on the right for 9mm ammo; ignore the locked room on the left for now and head in to the next room on the left that you can enter, where the second Comms Point is located. Proceed down the corridor; before the last bend is a room on the right where you can find some more 9mm ammo and Adrenaline. Round the corner are two guards either side of the door way. Quickly run out and kill them before they make for an alarm. Enter the next room, where the third Comms point is located at the end by the doorway (there is also a Health Point here, but you really shouldn't have to use this). An enemy walks down the following corridor, so jump out the doorway and cap his ass. Walk down and although it prompts you that you can explode the gas canisters, don't; just wait until the next enemy walks around the corner (check the map) and take him out. Head right first for Body Armour in the room here, then head back and the left down to the courtyard at the far end. Outside in the courtyard run to the opposite side and climb the ladder (press Square). Head round the walkway and down the corridor, then enter stealth mode before entering the next area (press Triangle). The aim is the make it across the room, up the stairs and into the Control Room without being spotted. It's actually quite tough; use the panels and various boxes to get across and then quickly take him out up the stairs before you are spotted. In the Control Room is the fourth and final Comms Point and a Key Card. A five minute timer also initiates. Head all the way back now to that first corridor where the locked door was - follow the yellow marker on the map if you forgot where that was. Note that there are enemies in the courtyard and in that panel room (where the third Comms Panel and Health Point was). After heading through the locked door go through the left section and use the panel on the wall to start a Lock Down. Use the Health Point on the wall if you need to, then head up the elevator in the corner of the room. Get out, round the corner and take out the enemy that is running down the ramp. Enter the right room and get the health pack, and proceed up the ramp. Ahead is a Jeep that you can get into (sweet!) so do so by pressing Triangle and continue up the path. Round the corner enemies appear; I highly recommend that you stop, get out and shoot these buggers before proceeding, mainly for health reasons plus you'll need to take out as many enemies as you can do get that 90%+ grade. Collect the Soviet ammo they leave, and also enter the circular room on the left for another enemy before getting back in to the Jeep. Head round the corner where the path ramps down; get out at the inside corner away from the explosive canisters, where Tarket and his croonies are waiting for you at the bottom. Stand behind one of the side wall columns as cover and take them out. Tarket might take a little longer to kill, but he is still easy enough. Once everyone is dead, get back in the Jeep and proceed onward (the room on the right has nothing) and get out at the side area where a ramp labeled EXIT is. Two enemies are here; kill them. The room opposite has two enemies, and in the control room some Body Armour and Adrenaline. Return to the Jeep and drive down the ramp, and take out the three enemies in the side area with the crates. Drive up to the next round corner area and again, wipe out any enemies here and the two in the circular room off to the side. Head round the corner where at the bottom of the final ramp are a group of enemies, and Carr. Like with Tarket, hide round one of the side wall columns and gradually shoot all the enemies. Don't take too long remember, as you have a 2 minute timer over your head now. Once Carr is dead, you can either run down and grab the Health in one of the end rooms (although this is pretty pointless) so just Jeep it back to the EXIT ramp midway through this section, where you can exit the base. Note that this only opens if you've killed both Tarket and Carr; if you happened to miss Tarket out by driving straight past him to Carr and starting the timer, you probably won't have enough time to kill Tarket and finish. 90%+ Tips - Be hasty in taking down enemies early on so they cannot trigger any alarms; one alarm equals a 5% decrease in your grade so you shouldn't try and get any set off. Don't use any health, either. With headshots, just try and do as many as you can throughout and in the second half of the level with the Jeep, kill all the enemies you come across to ensure that you meet the 'Enemies Killed' demand. ----------------------------- Mission 4 - Following Daniels ----------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $650 - Pedestrians Panicked - 2 Your first driving mission, excited? Controls are of standard driving game fare, X to accelerate and Square to brake (or you can use the right analog stick for both of these) plus L1 to look behind you and L2 to show the map. Anyway, follow the yellow marker to Daniels' house which is fairly easy (turn right, left and follow the road around until you get close enough and enter the yellow marker). When you get there, Daniels gets out and drives away in a big red van. Follow him reasonably close at all times. When you get on the Freeway however get back a bit as he can shoot you. Rather hilariously, he blows up other cars around you instead ( asit looks kinda random). After the freeway still keep a bit of distance, but you'll soon come to an end. 90%+ Tips - As long as you don't constantly drive on the pathements scaring pedestrians and completely total the car, you should pass this easily. ---------------------------- Mission 5 - Daniels Takedown ---------------------------- + Accuracy - 75% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 40 (30%) + Civilians Restrained - 1 (10%) + Enemies Restrained - 5 (10%) + Head Shots - 5 (10%) - Health Used - 0 - Civilians Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 2 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Wait until the van stops and everyone gets out, then take all three enemies down. Head in to the side room for a Health Pack, then enter a parked car and ram it through the gates at the end of the car park to progress. Get out and kill the enemy in the doorway ahead, and make your way round and go through it. An enemy is hiding behind the boxes ahead. Head through the double doors, and again, and take out the enemy on the far right of this room - search his body for an enemy radio, allowing you to listen in to the enemy conversations (they are transmitted to you automatically). Head through the doorway and kill the enemy in the corridor, then progress down it. A Health Point is at the very end here, then enter the door just before it and head up the stairwell to the First Floor. On the first floor enter the room opposite for a Health Pack, and listen in to the guards conversation. Either wait until they come around by this room and take them down silently (enter stealth mode, then walk behind and press Square to break the neck with a satisfying crunch) or just rambo their asses. There are various other guards in this area too; either silently go around them and take them out with the aid of the map, or just run and gun. Either way is effective here. The corner area has Adrenaline on the desk, and proceed to the end doorway (where the yellow marker is) and press Square to hack in using the Sequence Analyser minigame. Here you have to reorder the letter order until you get the right code. The code is shown above, so just rearrange the letters until it matches. Easy. Once you've opened the door, three enemies are located over the end right. Take them all out, and another two will come down the stairs further one. Raid the corpses for a Shotgun. Head up the stairs where three more enemies are located. Proceed through the doorway ahead now to an office area; a cutscene between the enemies shows that they will begin sweeping this area in search of your location. Watch the map to follow their location, and take each one out; if you get spotted then they will all come to you, but if you use one of the cubicles to guard yourself then these guys shouldn't be too hard to overcome. Head to the stairwell in the far right corner to head up to the third floor. There will be one enemy that runs in front of you, and two in the more open area on the left. Dispose of them all and raid the bodies for ammo. Head back to the doorway of the stairwell and down the corridor next to it. Take out the enemy here and enter the right room for a Soviet plus ammo. Back out and continue, where an enemy is ahead and two on the other side. A civilian is here also; try and Announce and restrain if you can, otherwise she'll run away. Follow her and if you did let her get away an enemy will hold her hostage. Take a steady aim and headshot the enemy to release her. Announce and restrain her. There is Adrenaline and a Health Point on the right wall here. Continue going and left to the next set of stairs (yellow marker if you are lost) and kill the enemies on the stairs here. There are enemies either side of the desk and one behind. Two more come in from the next doorway. Proceed to the next office area, around the corner where at the far end three enemies come out at once, guns blazing. Take them down. Turn left to see a doorway - go through where in this first room is a health pack on the shelf, and in the following database room is another enemy. Go round to the other end where two enemies are in front of the desk and another two round the right corner. Head over to the lift in the far right corner and use the the Sequence Analyser minigame. This is random now so no concrete answer can be given, but just to get the first letter (move each letter one by one to the far left) until you get that, then the second one etc until they are all done. Chances are you'll most of the letters as you are rearranging for the first few anyway. Once you have access to the lift, use it and get out at the above floor. Head right and around the corridor; an enemy will be facing away from you so silently take him down. Enter the left room just before here for a Health Pack, and through to the next room where four enemies are hiding behind boxes. Around the corner, and then left are two more enemies to be taken care of. Head to where they were and three more enemies are in the left area, two of which hiding behind the desks. Finally, head in to the corner office; the screen will split to show Daniels. There are two other enemies in here either side of him, so take them out then aim at Daniels, keep Announcing with R2 and move around to next to him where he will surrender, ending the mission. Phew! 90%+ Tips - First of all, be sure to search every room and area to take out all the enemies you come across and try and count five headshots as you go - do the first five enemies as headshots to take this off your mind (heh). There is only one civilian in this level and she should be easy to spot - when there are no other enemies around her just Announce at her and restrain. Enemies Restrained is harder; the best thing to do is every group of enemies you come across is to start off by Announcing and firing at their bodies (not their heads) and chances are after a few rounds they'll surrounder, no doubt because they are injured. Then just restrain. Finally, accuracy is a big percentage of the grade so try and take care with your shots. --------------------------------- Mission 6 - Interrogating Daniels--------------------------------- - Questions Used - 14 - Extreme High or Low Stress - 0 - Breaking Stage Misses - 0 This is essentially a timing minigame where you have to break the suspect into giving you information. To start with, at the highest point press Triangle to raise the stress in to the zone. Keep maintaining here for a while, until it drops, then lower with X, and finish off with going up when the zone does. You just got to time it correctly each time. Note that it'll start escalating or dropping if you don't do any actions fast enough, so try and do them reasonably quickly. 90%+ Tips - Don't miss any of them and be sure to hit the Breaking stage the first time. Act quickly as well so the graph doesn't reach the extreme top or bottom, which will lower your score. Practice helps here, sadly it just is a bit of a pain when you have long scenes in-between each one. ------------------------- Mission 7 - Sniper Search ------------------------- + Targets Found - 9 (100%) - Time - 1:40 Here you have to search all the floors of the buildings around the route in order to find the sniper locations. Select the building and using R2 to go down each floor, select each red target and scan it using X until it's certified. They are found in the following areas - Building Map - +--+ 1 | | | | +-+ +---+ +---+ +---+ | 2 | | 3 | | 4 | +---+ +---+ +---+ +---+ | 5 | +---+ Building 1 - Roof Third Floor (Lowest Target) Second Floor (Lowest Target) Building 2 - Seventh Floor Fifth Floor (Upper Target) Building 3 - Roof Fifth Floor (Upper Right Target) Building 4 - Sixth Floor (Upper Left Target) Building 5 - Ninth Floor Just search each of those locations and you'll be done in no time. Even if you don't manage to get them all, you'll pass this mission anyway. 90%+ Tips - Just follow the locations above and you'll get 100% no problem. -------------------------------- Mission 8 - Taking Out The Enemy -------------------------------- + Accuracy - 90% (75%) + Head Shots - 5 (15%) + Enemies Killed - 11 (10%) - Civilians Killed - 10 - Time - 2:40 Resident of the various arcade sniper games, here you have to pan around the office buildings and take out the target snipers. Use the left analog stick to zoom, right to pan around. First pan left and take out the one on the roof, and the other targets will be highlighted by the yellow arrows. Just quickly look at each one and take them out. Note that a few are civilians and you'll be told if they are, so just quickly pan away to the next target. After the initial batch, pan down and watch the motorcade as it gets attacked. Shoot the guy that comes out of the van, and you'll get a second lot of target snipers. Clear this lot and you are done. 90%+ Tips - The big thing here is accuracy. Thankfully as they are all pretty much stationary targets this should be pretty high if you don't miss more than a couple of times. Count the first five enemies as headshots so you know you've done them, and also take out the man that comes out of the van. You'll get enough time to do this mission successfully as long as you don't take ages searching, but as the arrows show their exact positions, this shouldn't be a problem. ------------------------------- Mission 9 - PDA Data Discovered ------------------------------- - Time - 2:00 - Incorrect Data Matches - 0 - Number Swaps Made - 35 The first part is decrypting the hard drive. You either press X for Blue Squares of Circle for Red Squares as the data is highlighted. If a grey square is highlighted then just ignore it. It'll speed up later on so just try and focus, and if you are unsure or are hesitant then just leave it as it'll come around again eventually anyway. The second part is the Sequence Analyser minigame. Here you have to reorder the letter order until you get the right code. This is random so no concrete answer can be given, but just to get the first letter (move each letter one by one to the far left) until you get that, then the second one etc until they are all done. Chances are you'll most of the letters as you are rearranging for the first few anyway. 90%+ Tips - Ensure that you get none of the first stage wrong, even if it means missing a few for later as the time can be made up for the second stage. Try and get the first letter and work your way down so you have a clear order established. --------------------------- Mission 10 - Ho Shin's Shop --------------------------- - Time - 3:00 - Civilians Killed - 0 - Property Damaged - $500 Walk in to the liquor store and go to the counter at the far end and start a conversation with the clerk. Pick the following options - 1 - "Look, I know he's been in this shop several times in the last two weeks." 2 - "Okay, tell me who else can help me?" 3 - "Is Mr. Shin the owner?" 4 - "I need to know where Mr. Shin is - It is very important, a man's life is at stake!" 5 - "Let me into the back room - I need to talk to Mr. Shin right now!" The clerk will scan the door to the left so you can enter. Head left and through to the box room, to find no one there. Head back to the shop. Now as soon as you enter RUN straight on where you'll see him run into the door on the right. Follow him into the back alley; he'll run right around the bins (you'll have to do the same, no going left), round the corner and across the car park. If you make a beeline straight for the next alley he is going for, then you should be able to catch him by now. Note that if you are too far behind in the car park the car that pulls out will probably kill you. As long as you begin running as soon as you enter the shop and don't trip over those bins, you'll catch him earlier on. Otherwise he is real pain to catch up with, and he'll end up getting away (which is worth doing once might I add, as *SPOILERS* he'll get hit by a lorry and fly across the road!) 90%+ Tips - Answer the questions quickly, go to the back room and catch him by the time you reach the car park. This way civilian life and damage isn't really possible. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.02. Missions 11-20 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -------------------------------------- Mission 11 - To Lee Jin Yu's Apartment -------------------------------------- - Time - 2:00 - Driven Vehicle Damage - $500 - Pedestrians Panicked - 0 Get in the car on your left, take a right and keep driving along this road. Turn right when the pointer is on your right, and again on to the bridge where the yellow marker will show its self as a beam of light on the road ahead. Get there to finish. If you get lost, use the L2 map. 90%+ Tips - This is really easy to pass. As long as you don't total the car, drive right around the other side of the city or aim at every pedestrian you'll pass. ----------------------------------- Mission 12 - Tony's Unexpected Find ----------------------------------- + Enemies Restrained - 5 (35%) + Civilians Restrained - (40%) + Enemies Killed - 7 (15%) + Accuracy - 80% (10%) - Civilians Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head up the stairs ahead and get out your pistol. There are two people taking on the floor here, so Announce them and they'll start shooting. Shoot them in the chest until they either die or surrender. Go down the corridor and arrest any civilians you come across. Go up the stairs to the next floor. Again a few civilians will be up here, ripe for arresting. An enemy is in the open area ahead - remember to announce your presence so he can be possibly arrested. Continue down the corridor in to the construction area, where after going through the side area the wooden planks are blasted open with a shotgun. Dispose of the thug and grab the Adrenaline on the toilet through the room left. Continue down the corridor where an enemy waits on the stair well. Head up two floors - an enemy awaits you midway up. Now on Floor 5, continue through where a gang of enemies are in the open area you come to. Avoid the civilians and wipe them out, and make any arrests you need to. Carry on to the next stair well, where you'll get to the Sixth Floor. Two enemies are at the top of this stair well, with another round the corner and another down the corridor left; there is nothing down here so just proceed on to department 625. The door is open, so turn right in to the apartment and hide behind the short wall. Lee Jin Yu is distinguishable by the yellow arrow, so ensure you don't shoot him (one of the three enemies may take him hostage so aim and head shot him). Once all there are dead, the mission ends. 90%+ Tips - Announce your presence EVERY time you come across someone, whether civilian or foe. Civilians are easy to arrest although they might run off, but enemies tend to shy away from surrendering and tend to just fight instead. Announce and cap them a few times in the chest and hopefully that should change their minds. Accuracy doesn't count as a lot here as compared to other missions, but 10% could make a big difference so try and be as spot on as you can with your shooting. ----------------------------------- Mission 13 - Bringing in Lee Jin Yu ----------------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $2500 - Pedestrians Panicked - 3 Turn right and left to enter the tunnel entrance of the freeway. On exiting, go up the right ramp. As you may have guessed by the split screen action scenes you are being followed. Take the first right turning and follow the road around to the exit tunnel taking you to the financial district. Now follow the yellow marker to CTU. About the cars that chase you, just ignore them pretty much as they shouldn't hinder you a lot. If they get close try and drive close to other cars on the road, as their Driver style AI will cause them to just blindly smash in to them. 90% Tips - As long as the car doesn't explode, you'll pretty much pass. Also take your time in the financial district and remain on the road to avoid getting lesser points for the latter 'Pedestrians Panicked' category. -------------------------------------- Mission 14 - Stopping the Metro Attack -------------------------------------- + Accuracy - 80% (35%) + Enemies Killed - 4 (25%) + Civilians Warned - 10 (10%) + Head Shots - 1 (10%) + Enemies Restrained - 2 (10%) + Civilians Restrained - 5 (10%) - Civilians Killed - 0 - Team-mates Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 - Property Damage - $500 In this first area, just keep Announcing and restrain all the panicking civilians around you. There should be a fair few here; if you don't fancy getting a higher score though, then just ignore this. Head down the stairs where on the next level a group of enemies are at the top of the stairs over on the right, an enemy on the left by the pillar and a few civilians between. Announce then take them out, making as many arrests as possible. Head down the steps on the right, round the corner, up the steps where three enemies wait ahead. Take them out and head down the steps, right, down the steps where Eddie Cain will be spotted on the far side. Ignore him for now and concentrate on the enemies here on the platform and between the tracks. Once they are taken down, drop down on to the tracks and over to the other side. A subway train will be running through here every 30 or so seconds, so head down the tunnel (following the yellow arrow) and using the niches in the sides to avoid the train if it comes down. A few niches down on the left is a door, so head through (chances are an enemy will be waiting by it). Two more enemies are in the following corridor, then kick down the door at the end to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Quite tough due to the amount of criteria. Ensure that you announce and restrain all the civilians in the first area and all those that follow, and to announce before tackling any enemies you come across. Be very accurate and fit in a headshot somewhere, too. --------------- Mission 15 - M3 --------------- + Head Shots - 5 (35%) + Accuracy - 80% (35%) + Enemies Killed - 25 (30%) - Civilians Killed - 0 - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 You have new commands when you press R2 now - Hold it down where you can tell Kim to Follow or Wait, as well as the standard Announce command. Head down the corridor to the end, and use the device on the door to the Holding Cells. This is the standard Circuit Breaker mini-game, with only one gold star to find. Enter the room where two guards are talking at the far end; take them down. Head out the other doors where an enemy will appear, guns blazing. Head round the end and turn right, taking out the guard ahead. Now turn left at the end to enter the main CTU area, where two guards are too the right and two to the left. Get their ammo from the bodies and head up the small steps left and through the double doors. An enemy is straight right, chances are he'll have a hostage. Aim carefully and headshot him to free the CTU worker. Head round the corner and run in to the right room to take down the terrorist before he shoots any civilians that might wonder in. There is another enemy in the corridor back outside; take him out then re-enter the room and go through to the next. Enemies are found directly below, one in the room opposite and another in the area at the far end right. Head in to the corridor after, where there is a health point in the toilets if you need it. Another enemy is in this corridor before the stair well. Head down, where an enemy will be waiting. Now on the first floor, run through this corridor to the open area at the end. There are four enemies patrolling in here, and you can see their approximate locations on the map. Take them down one by one, although when you shoot the first few the others will come running anyway. Just shoot them as you see them so you can't get hit. Through the door at the other end and kill the enemy right before he slaughters the innocent CTU worker wondering the halls. Up the small set of stairs at the end and through the door in to the large room, where an enemy is hiding behind the engine ahead and about four more are dotted around. Tell Kim to wait at the door and hunt them all down before progressing through the door in the corner. Head round the corner and cap the enemy standing by the room M3. Stand in the yellow halo with Kim with you to finish. 90%+ Tips - Kill all the enemies you come across and get in a few headshots, plus a spice of accuracy will get you this one fairly easily (well compared to most others). Note that if an enemy kills a CTU worker that doesn't go against your record, so just fight the urge to kill innocents to avoid the minus points. ----------------------------- Mission 16 - Kim Goes Back In ----------------------------- + Enemies Stunned - 5 (100%) - Times Discovered - 0 - Health Used - 0 Collect the PDA, Stun Gun and Health Pack from the desk in front of the door and head outside. Enter Stealth Mode (triangle) and remain like so for the duration of the mission. Ignore the guards around the corner and head through to the room opposite, through here to the next room and use the Circuit Breaker on the double doors in the corner. After two waypoints it'll open. An enemy faces away from you, so stand close next to him and use the Stun Gun to knock him out. Collect the ammo from him and press and hold Square to grab his body and drag him back in to the room before the enemy nearby walks down here and spots it. When he walks past the door silently pop out and stun him as well. Collect his M5K Deutsch, however stick to the Stun Gun. Head up the stairwell to the third floor. Once there, hide behind the grate of boxes so the guard that comes round cannot see you. Wait until he gets close enough, stops and turns around before stunning him. Head round the corner to find the Control Room doors are locked up; proceed just a little onward to the area under construction. There are guards just beyond but don't confront them; instead drop down the right, across to the far wall and clamber up the platform to the air vent opening (Square to enter). You'll have to traverse through the air vent (Metal Gear!?) so go full speed apart from when the screen splits to show the enemy locations; here just go through slower (about midway between the dead zone and pressing fully up on the analog stick should do it) through each of these sections. At the other end exit the vent and down the ramp. There are two enemies in this room, one of which will talk away from you between the data banks. You can either try and stun them both in quick succession to avoid the alarm, or sneaking straight past them. Either way, just straight from the ramp across to the ramp across the room, and enter the vent there. Again, you'll have to go slow past the enemy. Exit this vent and enter the room on the right silently, and take out the enemy by the desk. Head in to the following corridor and round the corners to a straight with a room on the right. Dart in there as two guards are gonna come round the corner, and wait a while for one of them to walk past. Silently jump out and zap him, and do the same with the other when his back is turned. Ensure that no enemies know of your presence before progressing. Through the door at the end is the Bull Pen; head left and enter Tony's Office and grab the Data Room Key Card off the desk. Exit and turn around, DO NOT go downstairs but instead head around the outside and to the Data Room. Use the Key Card you just picked up to finish the level. 90%+ Tips - As long as you stun more than five enemies and only get spotted once you'll get the 90% required. There are two tough areas where you'll most likely get spotted - between the two air vents and the corridor before the bull pen. Just take your time, stay out of sight and follow the directions above and you should pass. ------------------------ Mission 17 - To The Roof ------------------------ + Head Shots - 5 (40%) + Enemies Killed - 18 (30%) + Accuracy - 80% (30%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Collect the Radio from the enemy corpse and after the S-Section two enemies will come running down the corridor. Dispose. You'll now have the choice of going either straight on or right. Going straight on allows you to collect a Health Pack, the other is somewhat quicker and has a few less enemies to contend with. Either way will take you to the corner stair well however. Straight on - Head onward (the left room has nothing) and in to the room straight ahead where an enemy hides behind the seating and another will enter soon after through the door at the end. Go through the said door and collect the Health Pack before leaving. Right, and take down the terrorist as he pops round the corner trying to take out the CTU worker. Head round the corner where the room M3 is - go through the next two rooms where there'll be an enemy in each, and kick down the double doors at the end to end up at the stairwell. Right - An enemy is round the corner, then run down to the door at the end of the corridor to reach the large area. A few enemies will be shown scouting the room so just approach them and kill them before they get the chance to fire back. Strike the double doors at the end to come out at the corner stairwell. At the corner stairwell, head up to the third floor. Head down the corridor; the toilets on the left now has some Adrenaline, and continue to the construction area beyond that you quickly went through as Kim. This time the enemies will shoot at you, so take them all down (two on the left, one in the far opposite corner). Go through the door in the corner where you'll come to the Armory. The code you'll need to enter is 710538. Inside grab all the weapons and ammo on the walls and shelves, as well as the Health Pack on the seating. You'll have 2 minutes to get to the roof, so run back through the construction area to the stair well - note that an enemy will come out of the toilets as well as two just before the stair well. Out on the Roof, dispose of all the enemies that appear as soon as you get there. Use cover if needed. Quickly grab any ammo from the bodies if you want, but you should have enough, and the chopper will arrive. Be sure to have the M80 Assault Rifle equipped. H +--+ +--+ +--+ +-- LZ | | | | | | E| +--+ +--+ +--+ +-- B +--+ +--+ +--+ | | | | | | +--+ +--+ +--+ A Here is a map of the roof; E shows where you came in, LZ is the Landing Zone where the Helicopter will land at and B is where you should position Jack at most times. Note that when the Copter first comes go to position B as it'll defend you as it fires, but'll then mostly hover around where H is, so use the wall as cover at position A. When the Copter stops firing, aim and fire just under 20 rounds before hiding again to avoid the Copter. Reload while you wait. It'll move near to point E, then back left again and land at LZ - the Landing Zone. Run up and take out the three enemies that come before they get a chance to fire, then retreat to point B as the Copter flies around again. Repeat. Note that sometimes as the Copter flies near point E, you might get hit so just walk around the wall a bit more, and also it doesn't lock on at all times so you might have to do it manually. Once you've taken all the health down, the mission is over! 90%+ Tips - This isn't too hard compared to most missions; just ensure that you kill all the enemies you come across, manage a few headshots and be mostly accurate. Of course the Helicopter battle might make your accuracy as well as your health suffer, but try and abstain from using health and use the tactics described above and you should pass this one. ----------------------------- Mission 18 - Chase Undercover ----------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $3500 - Pedestrians Panicked - 3 Follow the road and get on to the Freeway on the right. Cop cars will now start trying to ram you with the Driver AI; when they drive in front, then will try and serve in your path so just slow down as they turn and drive around them. Drive right when you get the chance and follow the road straight through to Korea Town. Now you'll have to loose the police - you have a 'Pursued' meter. The only way I've found to lose them is just to drive on a long road until they blow themselves up and/or just lose you. It takes a awhile but it works. Don't get cornered by them either, as you'll get an 'Apprehended' gauge that if filled you'll lose. When you've lost them head back to the yellow maker to finish. 90%+ Tips - Don't drive around on the paths too much, and try not to destroy the car, but it's quite tough due to the police cars constantly ramming you throughout. Just avoid them as best you can by swerving between other vehicles so they blow themselves up quicker. ------------------- Mission 19 - Reboot ------------------- - Time - 4:00 - Bad Nodes Found - 0 - Incorrect Data Matches - 0 The first part is repairing the hard drive. Press X for Blue squares, Circle for Red Squares or Triangle for Green as the data is highlighted. If a grey square is highlighted then just ignore it. It'll speed up later on so just try and focus, and if you are unsure or are hesitant then just leave it as it'll come around again eventually anyway. The second part are several passwords that you are told to enter. They are - 3720092 and 8915568. The third part is Network Scan, where you have to connect the CTU computer network to the outside world. You are given a set amount of time to check the route, and then you have to go through with it without hitting any bad nodes along the way, otherwise you'll have to start over again. A map for the route can be found here - http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/24_the_game_reboot.png The route goes as follows - Up, Up, Left, Up, Up, Right, Right, Down, Right x5. 90%+ Tips - Do all of it as fast as possible; ensure no errors in the first section and take your time more here than the second parts, where you know exactly what codes to put in and what route you should take. -------------------------- Mission 20 - To The Agency -------------------------- - Time - 1:40 - Driven Vehicle Damage - $5 - Pedestrians Panicked - 0 Check the map, establish a quick route and drive there. There are no obstacles in your path at all, just get there within 2 minutes and listen to the conversation between Jack and Madson along the way. 90%+ Tips - Drive quickly, don't hit anything and don't drive on the paths. Dead easy to pass. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.03. Missions 21-30 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------- Mission 21 - Through the Agency ------------------------------- - Time - 11:00 - civilians Killed - 0 - Alarms Triggered - 0 - Times Discovered - 0 - Property Damage - $500 Walk through the doors and to the yellow halo, pressing R2 to begin talking to the receptionist. Pick the following lines - 1 - "Yes, I'm with that tour". 2 - "Since I'm already late can I please just have my pass?" 3 - "Mr. Linnel. Do you have my first name down as well?" 4 - "Yes, Mr. Linnel" 5 - "Here's my handgun" Now you have a pass, head right through the doors and the security checker to a tour party. This is your way of sneaking in to the agency building. Join the party and keep up with them, ensuring that the 'Following' gauge at the bottom of the screen never depletes fully. You'll stop in a hall shortly after. Run over to the lockers behind you (check the star on the map) and when Madsen stops talking, you can enter the code to get in. It's 892591. You'll get a security pass. Rejoin the group and set off again. You'll head upstairs and to the balcony above the hall you stopped in before. When you stop, make sure the guard by the door you just passed walks off and enter the room. Turn right and round to the computer, holding Square there to enter details. Once that's done, quickly exit and rejoin the group. Ignore the security guard, he stands outside for a while before actually entering so as long as you don't take ages, you should be clear in more than enough time. The group will set off again, up stairs and round a corner stopping once more. Now go round the next corner and in stealth mode, take down the guard. Drag his body round the chairs and in to the yellow halo quickly before the camera turns around. If you take too long and the camera exposes you for long enough its game over. Once you have done away with the guard, rejoin the group and follow it to the cafeteria, concluding the somewhat rubbish tour. Anyway head onward to the security desk, where your details will go through and you can continue to the stairwell that takes you to the floor above. Here guards patrol around but as long as they don't see you breaking in to any rooms then you won't be stopped. First lets get the Sat-Link Cable. Follow the left most nearest arrow on the map to the room. Make sure no guards are around and break in using the Circuit Breaker minigame; as explained keep moving so you don't set off the heat sensors. Collect the Sat-Link Cable and exit the way you came in. Now to get the software. Head to the other yellow arrow on the map; one of the doors is constantly guarded so just head around to the other side of the room and break in again using Circuit Breaker. Again this room is heat sensitive; quickly run in to the centre and use the computer and run to the opposite edge to avoid the sensors being tripped and exit the room. Now head to the yellow arrow, but the door is locked to the stair well so break in to the door next to it and go through the room quickly to avoid more sensors. Head up the stair well, kick the door down to the room and stand by the satellite dish. Enter the following codes when instructed - 436900 793113 053209 678023 458291 Once you've entered the codes, you are done with this mission! 90%+ Tips - As long as you do the last area without being spotted and do the entire thing without taking ages, you should pass this no problem. --------------------------- Mission 22 - Jack is Chased --------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $3500 - Pedestrians Panicked - 3 There are three cars ahead of you - take the sports car on the left and turn around, left and on to the freeway. Cars follow you, just ignore them for now as best you can. Follow the freeway until you can turn right so do so, then take the lower path and you'll come to Korea Town. You'll get a pursued meter; the sports car helps get away but you might have to wait until the pursuers explode before you can actually get rid of the gauge completely. Note that you can get out of the car if you need to change. Get to the safe house (yellow marker) without that gauge to pass. 90%+ Tips - Avoid driving on the pathements although if you get rammed so much it really isn't your fault. You can get up to one car exploded before even damage is high enough to be taken off the score, so this shouldn't be too tough to pass. ---------------------------- Mission 23 - Madsen Attacked ---------------------------- + Head Shots - 5 (40%) + Enemies Killed - 20 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (20%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head up the walkway and up the ladder to the water tower. Note that if you slide down, you cannot get back up due to a glitch; if this occurs then just restart the mission. Up there is a Sniper Rifle, so move around a little more and begin aiming and shooting the enemies. Madsen's men are usually on the left side and wear green camouflage; naturally avoid shooting these guys can concentrate on the others. Use the explosive canisters dotted around too. A truck will soon come with more men on it, and soon after an impenitible truck will arrive and you'll be told to head inside. Head off the tower and round the walkway back in to the main building, where you can get the M5K Deutsch and ammo from a box. Keep shooting all the enemies that surge in. Some might also come up the left ramp so keep an eye out there too. Don't head down but just stay up here and keep shooting until you finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - As long as you get the head shots and kill pretty much all the enemies, your accuracy should be high enough to carry you over anyway to get above 90%. ------------------------------------------- Mission 24 - Chase Infiltrates the Tech Lab ------------------------------------------- - Alarms Triggered - 0 - Times Discovered - 0 - Civilians Killed - 0 - Health Used - 0 Walk up to the desk and wait for the exciting conversation to end. Stand in the yellow halo when it appears, and when the receptionist heads in to the back run around the desk and get the keycard before the camera spots you. Use it on the door along the same wall and head through. As prompted, security guards will bother you but office workers won't. One pops out of the nearest door straight away so hide to the side of the watercooler to avoid being spotted. Enter stealth mode and when he is walking away, run down and in to that room. Go straight through to the door opposite quickly, go right and around the corners. A guard is ahead so enter the box room on the left until he passes by. Continue down the corridor; the guard on the left won't turn around, so just head through the double doors to the outside courtyard. Head to the doors on the other side (where the yellow marker is). You can see a person in the room through the wall; go to the door and when he is turned away run in and across to the pillar over on the left and hide behind it. Use the split screen to monitor the scientist's actions - when he does something like check the shelf or use the sink, run across to the other pillar and then when he turns away again through the door. A guard is walking away from you in the passage after, sneak up and take him down. If you don't then he'll go through the next lab and use the drinks machine after and you can take him out there. As said there is another lab to pass though, again use the split screen to monitor the scientist. Another lab follows this time with two scientists in blocks; there are more pillars closer together so as long as you are patient you can easily get to the door in the corner without getting spotted. The corridor after takes you to the Secure area door; hack your way in through the retinal scanner using the Circuit Breaker on your PDA. Once inside, the next corner has a camera pointing toward you. Dart straight down and right to avoid getting spotted. The next area has a camera in the far right corner; run over to the far left corner where the door is and there shouldn't have any chance of it spotting you. The next part is somewhat tricky; the camera is in the middle of the opposite wall with a scientist in the middle doing various things. Wait until he is checking one of the shelves and run in to the room under the camera to get the Synchroniser. Get out again when he faces away as he'll soon come in here himself; if he does then Stun him. Out of the way, wait until he walks toward the room and then go to the door oppsite the camera. Stop as soon as you get in the next room to avoid being spotted here. A guard is to the right and the camera in the far right corner. Wait until the guard is in either extreme end and the camera is turned to the right of you and then run opposite and straight in to the door. Note if there is a person in the corridor after, wait until they are walking into the next room before attempting this. After the short corridor is another room; this is quite tough to time; wait until the camera is facing toward the centre of the room (toward your location by the door) and wait until both scientists are turning toward the camera and quickly run out and to the door to the right of all of these (its on the slanted wall). After another small corridor is another area, this time with two cameras. Step in to the door way to the screen splits to show them and just to the end of the databanks opposite, so either camera can't see you. Run down to under the second camera until you are out of sight and through the door on the wall; the guard will just face away from you. Head around into the primate lab. Be sure to act stealth and walk slowly through, not knocking over any objects that are lying about. This is more of a practice run for the next primate lab with the guard in. Again stealth your way through avoiding the objects and that huge box. When you come to the guard watching the TV, I've noticed that he does sometimes turn around regardless so just run up and Stun Gun him before he can set the alarm off. Proceed through the door and ensuring no guards are facing you, head in to the room opposite (door is on the left). Wait in here as a guard will come to the door but won't enter, and turn and walk away. Jump out and stun him, right round the corner and wait for any guards to walk out of the path to the double doors ahead. Head through and through the fire exit on the right to finish. 90%+ Tips - An alarm triggering is -8 and getting spotted is -4... as far as I can tell someone saying 'Huh?' isn't getting spotted, but when they shout 'Hey!' regardless of them setting off the alarm is a spot (their red presence on the map will have a ring around it). Getting in camera view just acts as a spot too. ------------------------------ Mission 25 - Questioning Donna ------------------------------ - Questions Used - 17 - Extreme High or Low Stress - 1 - Breaking Stage Misses - 1 This is essentially a timing minigame where you have to break the suspect into giving you information. You need to focus on the Stress Graph in the bottom corner. Her level will fluctuate up and down constantly, and you have to keep it within the blue bar in order to extract information. You can make it shift up by pressing Triangle, down by pressing X or Square to keep it at about the same area. Each time you do it successfully the green meter to the right of the graph will fill up, needing ten times all together to pass. On the ninth, you'll have to break him by pressing Circle in the stress zone. What's new this time is that the stress bar will move up and down so you have to time it right to get it within the area. 90%+ Tips - You thankfully get one allowance of the extreme and breaking penalties, and a few more questions due to the bar moving up and down. When the area moves up and down, get it toward the top or bottom as it'll remain there for a split second longer making it easier; although you'll run the risk of getting the extreme edges of the graph when doing so. --------------------------------- Mission 26 - Going After Del Toro --------------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 25 (30%) + Accuracy - 85% (30%) + civilians Restrained - 5 (20%) + Head Shots - 3 (20%) - Health Used - 0 - civilians Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Head in to the next room and upstairs. There are three enemies ahead; wipe them out and move clockwise around the stair case here so you face the rest of the room. Two more enemies are behind sofas. Restrain the two civilians in here and move on through the door in the corner - an enemy will pop out as you move towards it. Head up the stairs and in to the corridor; an enemy will talk toward you from the room. Head in to the room and take out the shotgun welding enemy in the room ahead, but be sure to take the Health Pack from the side bath room before advancing into the corridor beyond. You'll get a phone call from CTU. Head down the corridor - the room on the left has two civilians (note the one on the bed cannot be restrained) and continue to the end. An enemy will be hiding behind the end wardrobe. Go right in to the room where two enemies will be waiting in the next section of the room. To the next corridor, at the end is a wide area with stairs. Take out the enemy walking down them and head up yourself to the next floor where another enemy is waiting at your 10 o'clock. Through the next two rooms are two enemies. The big room after the short corridor has about 5 enemies and a couple of civilians; announce and run in hiding behind an object and slowly take them down. Collect the shotgun shells and body armour against the wall and step out on to the balcony and all the way around to the next room. One enemy is behind the sofa, the other two behind the wall opposite the door way. Note that there are a few civilians in here too, so watch where you shoot. The next room is the final one - one enemy in the far left corner, three or so to the right and civilians all around the shop. Once they are all dead, the mission is over. 90%+ Tips - The enemy count is easy as you have to do that to pass the mission. Three headshots should be simple to attain, as well as the civilians as long as you don't shoot any as they do tend to clog up rooms more than the terrorists! Accuracy is the toughest; just take your time and ensure you lock on to enemies before hosing them with bullets. --------------------------------------------- Mission 27 - Jack Tracks Kim to Madsen's Base --------------------------------------------- - Time - 2:40 - Driven Vehicle Damage - $15 - Pedestrians Panicked - 0 Get in the car and head left and toward Korea Town West where the first marker is. Although you have four minutes don't slacken up; the position changes when you reach it. Do a 180 degree turn with the handbrake and head to the marker to the south. At the park turn around again as the signal changes, down the road and in to the storm drains via the dirt path that leads off the road. Don't take a sharp turn south now as you can't, so head to the other side of the drains doing a wide right turn which allows you to go south until you reach the base. 90%+ Tips - The most important aspect here is time - be very quick to each point. Instead of the standard car, find a sports car someplace to get to each point. as for the other penalties, you can do a fair bit of damage without suffering and same applies for the pedestrians. Also at the end in the storm drains, watch it around the boxes and objects as hitting them causes you to fly into the air - although you can't actually flip over proper, you'll lose time. ------------------------------------------ Mission 28 - Jack Heads Into Madsen's Base ------------------------------------------ + Head Shots - 5 (40%) + Stealth Takedowns - 2 (20%) + Accuracy - 80% (20%) + Enemies Killed - 10 (20%) - Alarms Triggered - 0 - Times Discovered - 0 - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 All the killings in this walkthrough are done by silenced pistol that you have equipped when you begin, all done by headshots for quick kills. Enter stealth mode and hug the right wall and follow it toward the base. Remain out of the way as the Jeep drives past. At the corner with the search lights you can take out the guard fine, despite searchlights clearly showing his new corpse lying on the ground. Round the corner and quickly take out the other two guards patrolling the outside, then run over to the door in to the building. Stand by the block on the left; shoot the enemy walking away, then the one that is walking down the stairs on the far side of the room. Wait until the one nearest has turned away before running out and taking his name. Go in the blue door on the right side of the room; an enemy should be or have walked down the right steps by now, and another to your 3 o'clock. Silently take them out with your pistol. There is a Health Point by the stairs (although you really shouldn't need it) and proceed through the door in the direction of the yellow arrow on the map. Outside walk toward the stairs where an enemy will appear in the doorway at the top. Head up the stairs and enter the building, and stay here. Three guards are in here; one on the walkways ahead of you in plain sight, then wait a few seconds for the guard to walk on the far right walkway. Stay here again until the guard below appears below walking toward you. Head shot them all in those order to empty the room, allowing you to go about freely. Head right and up the small steps, over the central walkway and go down the steps to the ground and head to the door to the north side of the base. Outside again, turn left and stand at the corner where the screen will split showing the camera view in the upper corner. Wait until it turns left then run to the corner wall, and as it turns back again run onward. All that stands in your way now are some search lights; walk onward and when the nearest one moves away from you, RUN around the corner and to the wired fence. Hug the fence as well as the corner of the building and through the door to finish. 90%+ Tips - Each time you set off an alarm is a 5% knockdown so don't get discovered for long and trigger one! Apart from that none of the criteria are hard to miss as long as you do a run where you aren't spotted. The only one that might give you agro is the Silent Takedowns one; when you first enter take down the other two guards so you can get the one closest, and in the other building when the timer starts to countdown leave the guard on the far right walkway so you can approach him. -------------------------------------- Mission 29 - Escape from Madsen's Base -------------------------------------- + Head Shots - 10 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 35 (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Stay there and take out the enemies on the ground and on the above walkway. A few more will crop up in a sec so wait for them before progressing. Remember to tell Kim to follow you, and head back the way you came in the last mission and down that alley way. At the door two enemies come out, then hide round the doorway as there are plenty of enemies waiting for you to walk in and you'll take a beating if you rambo in. Body Armour can be found on the right side ahead as you enter. Head up the stairs on the right and wait at the top for the scores of enemies to come through the entrance to the building on the opposite walkway. Stay here until you've taken them all down and guide Kim outside with you. Three enemies run outside from the building below when you start going down the steps so take them down. Stand in the doorway and look at the top; there should be one on the walkway above and two to the right (there might be more and as said check the map for their locations before entering). Wipe them out. Head through the blue door on the left where enemies around you are waiting. Use the wall around the doorway before you enter to hide if you need. Head over to the left doors now which are wide open - shoot the nearest enemies and hide behind a orange box to avoid the enemy gun fire from all around. Leave Kim here for now and head across the grounds and take out more of the enemies. A Jeep will arrive; kill it's hosts and take out any close enemies now. You'll notice that there are several Jeeps blocking the exit; equip the sniper rifle picked up from one of the enemies earlier and take them all down. Other wise move on up with cover from boxes and carefully pick each enemy off. When the coast is clear, get Kim and head to the car to finish. 90%+ Tips - All of the criteria can be easily met, apart from accuracy. Good old accuracy. The worst part for this is at the end as many enemies are too far away to get an exact lock on, so get closer or better yet use the sniper rifle. -------------------------------- Mission 30 - Jack and Kim Escape -------------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $3500 - Pedestrians Panicked - 3 You'll be chased down the storm drains. Just keep driving through them; try and lure the chasing vehicle into a barrier by letting him ride along you and driving close to it. There are various boxes and burnt out vehicles to avoid around, as well as vehicles coming the other way. When the CTU chopper appears you'll about to go under a bridge; head under the right underpass to avoid the van in the centre (which if it hits you head on will blow you up). The blockade will explode as you exit, so drive on the extreme right to get out. Out of the storm drains cut across the road, and turn left on to the freeway tunnel. Take two rights on the freeway and follow the lane until you come to the Financial District. Take several lefts now to reach CTU to end the mission. 90%+ Tips - Watch out for boxes and the other vehicles in the storm drains and for other cars on the road on the way back to CTU. In the financial district, drive a tad slower and on the roads completely as not to panic any pedestrians (although you get up to three anyway). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.04. Missions 31-40 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ----------------------------------------- Mission 31 - Disabling the Data Scrambler ----------------------------------------- - Time - 00:50 - Connections Used - 8 This mission uses the Circuit-Breaker mini-game. Basically, you have to link yourself up to the yellow cubes by creating paths between other cubes. 90%+ Tips - Just try and do this as fast as you can and do any planning of routes quickly. ------------------------------- Mission 32 - Locating the Bombs ------------------------------- + Bombs Found - 10 (100%) - Time - 2:00 You have a radar screen and using the left analog stick you have to find all 10 bombs before the time is up. There is no curser, so just hold the stick in the direction you want to look to show bomb locations. Aim the stick in the location to lock on to it (so if its on the upper left, hold the stick to the upper left at the distance it is). Hold it steady until it's locked on. There are four on the left, two at the top, three to the right and one below. 90%+ Tips - This shouldn't be too hard, the only trouble I've had is that some bombs just don't want to lock on. Try and get the best position you can and when it starts don't move a muscle and it should start picking it up. ------------------------------------------ Mission 33 - Tony Leads a Team to the Bomb ------------------------------------------ + Enemies Killed - 30 (50%) + Head Shots - 5 (30%) + Accuracy - 80% (20%) - Team-mates Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head up the steps opposite and make your way through the building, where two terrorists are outside the first room. Inside the room are about four more that come out of the woodwork, so hide by the doorway into the room and take them all down. Head outside down the steps and hide behind the nearest object, where about half a dozen more terrorists are in waiting ahead. Use the canisters to the sides if it helps. Note that a terrorist might crop up along side you, so check the map and turn the camera towards them to lock on. Once all downed, head toward the cabin ahead and wipe out the two enemies in there. Move toward the next cabin to the site, where three enemies will run out to the canisters opposite. Shoot as they flee, before they can stop and shoot back. Inside the cabin is a Health Pack. Move to the yellow point at the building entrance. Hide straight away behind the small wooden structures and take out the three terrorists ahead. Around the corner are more at the opposite side. Don't walk toward them as four more enemies are in the room on the right, which will shoot as you appear. So hide at the wall by the room and keep aiming in gradually and pick them off. Head through here back outside and hide. Shoot straight ahead to the canisters to knock down the walkway opposite and pick off the other one or two enemies that are lingering around. Head right to the yellow point and round the next corners where two enemies wait for you. Round another corner, up the steps and right where two are hiding behind the wooden blocks. Round a few more corners are another two enemies behind wooden blocks, then head up the stairs and go right. Around the U bend is a room full of guess, terrorists. You can pick off the far left one before entering the actual room itself, then go by the wall and take out the other two on the left side. Two more are on the right by the stairs. Head down these stairs and hide behind one of the concrete blocks, and take down the remaining enemies. I found the lock on stops working well here so you might have to do a spot of manual aiming. There are also two shooters in the far right corner. After killing them all, the yellow halo appears by the drill which ends the mission. 90%+ Tips - Not too bad, as 80% is gained from killing everyone and getting a handful of headshots. As long as you have a decent amount of accuracy you should get the 10% required to get you the bonus. ------------------------- Mission 34 - Bomb Defusal ------------------------- - Time - 1:10 - Connections Used - 15 - Number Swaps Made - 20 The first part of the bomb defusal is the Sequence Analyser minigame. This is random so no concrete answer can be given, but just to get the first letter (move each letter one by one to the far left) until you get that, then the second one etc until they are all done. Chances are you'll most of the letters as you are rearranging for the first few anyway. The second part is the circuit-Breaker mini-game. Basically, you have to link yourself up to the yellow cubes by creating paths between other cubes. Once you've done this the mission is over. 90%+ Tips - Do the first part as fast as possible, as you have four waypoints to clear for the second part which requires more thinking and planning ahead. ------------------------------------------ Mission 35 - Jack Leads a Team to the Bomb ------------------------------------------ + Enemies Killed - 35 (40%) + Accuracy - 65% (35%) + Head Shots - 10 (25%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Take out the two enemies above (switch weapons to a more close range one) then head up the ramp to the right. Around the corners and step in to the yellow marker by the open wall. Aim at the canisters on the far left and blow them up to remove the blockade, allowing your team to move on through. Equip the sniper rifle and protect them as they make it across from the enemies on the balcony opposite - use the canisters if you need to. When Jack mentions moving to a new vantage point, use the ramp behind you. Change weapons as several enemies are ahead - use the canisters to take a few out quickly and easily. Up the stairs are a few more enemies - go left and down the stairs. Around the wall ahead in the next section are four more enemies, with the next yellow halo to the right. Equip the sniper rifle and take out the four to five enemies on the two balconies opposite. Once done, switch to the automatic rifle and down the stairs behind and across to your teams position. Enter the door and hide behind the small wall as two enemies will run out of the door ahead. Take them out and through that door - you'll get a phone call on your cell. Proceed onward, and around and hide behind the red wired fence (it does actually stop bullets) and wait until the roof collapses on top of them. Pick off any others, get the ammo from their bodies and proceed round the corner and down the stairs. The screen will split showing three enemies just ahead that are coming for you. Head left and aim at the canister ahead, and when you see the terrorist shoot it to take two out. The other comes from the right side. Head round the left side and down the steps in the corner (your team only goes left for some reason). Note that a 5 minute timer begins too, so be reasonably hasty from here on in. On your right is an enemy with canisters above (use your common here) then onward for three more in the corner behind the stairs. Down the stairs and in to the yellow marker at the bottom of the ramp to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - This is quite easy to manage. As long as you kill all the enemies and get 10 head shots you are pretty much guaranteed due to the accuracy requirement being so low (for a change :P). ------------------------------------ Mission 36 - Attack at the Bomb Site ------------------------------------ + Enemies Killed - 30 (50%) + Accuracy - 65% (30%) + Headshots - 3 (20%) - Health Used - 0 A pretty hard mission, mainly due to the buggery that is the aiming system. Remember to look in the direction you want to fire - so when you turn toward the enemy press L2 to shift the camera toward them, enabling you to lock on. Otherwise, you can't and you'll get blown to bits quickly. They only come from the right passage, the passage ahead and the walkway above. Keep switching between ahead and to the right, moving the camera, then back, and forth etc eliminating all the enemies as you go. Don't trust the map - enemies will appear a second or two before they show up, and by then they are already shooting at you so just keep looking between the two locations. Constantly reload as well, and stay away from Agent Landis (otherwise you'll accidently hit her). Stay alive until the countdown is finished to complete this mission. 90%+ Tips - Don't use any health and kill everything that moves. Apart from Landis, despite the incredible urge to. 3 headshots is easy to get, so just be reasonably accurate too. --------------------------------- Mission 37 - After the Earthquake --------------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $100 - Pedestrians Panicked - 3 As far as I'm concerned, the only reason they put the earthquake in the game is to have these wicked new ramps across the streets of LA! Woo Hoo! Anyway, the red dots on the map show extensive damage to the road meaning it's pretty much a no go zone. Drive onward full speed and you'll fly over a hole in the ground, and after a cross section turn right. Go to the end of the road and take a left, where you'll get a phone call off Kate. This will change your yellow marker (bloody woman) turn around and take that long road back. Turn on to the bending road on the right where the yellow marker will be ahead, to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Some damage is inevitable here, but you can sustain enough to get away with passing. Just watch out as you drive on some sections of pathment as not to alarm people, although not trying to panic people when a sodding earthquake just went off is pretty easy to do, don't you think? ---------------------------- Mission 38 - Madsen Has Kate ---------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 10 (50%) + Accuracy - 75% (30%) + Head Shots - 5 (20%) - civilians Killed - 0 - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Walk down the tunnel and take out the two enemies at either side, although the falling rubble will most likely crush the left one anyway. Another enemy lies further down by the door. Head through and up the stairs, with an enemy part way up. Outside, drop in to the crater and blow up the canister to lay waste to the two enemies. Clamber out and round the corner, killing the guy to the right of the fence. Go through the fence gate and turn right, through a crater where another enemy will be. A man will hop (literally) out of the cabin, and another two enemies around the corner on the left. Head round the fence and toward the yellow marker, but stick to the far right wall to avoid the car that speeds toward you. Take out the driver when he gets out, otherwise just advance toward the marker and complete the mission. 90%+ Tips - Take down all the enemies you come across, ensuring that half are head shots. Just do the first five or something if this is a bit tough to remember. ------------------------------- Mission 39 - Going After Madsen ------------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $450 - Pedestrians Panicked - 4 Simply follow the route Madsen takes. You can cut a few corners when he obviously takes the long way round but most of the time you can more than easily keep up with him, and sometimes go ahead (although it's pointless as you need to see where he is going next). Just ensure you don't smash in to any cars to majorly slow down your progress. The mission ends when he hits the fire engine. 90% Tips - You'll get big penalties if you overstep the pedestrians panicked amount so avoid doing this at all costs. You shouldn't attain much damage apart from that. ----------------------------------- Mission 40 - The Search for Radford ----------------------------------- + Enemies Restrained - 8 (50%) + civilians Restrained - 3 (50%) + Accuracy - 75% (30%) - civilians Killed - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Restrain the civilian that runs around the corner, then proceed down the alley way. The man with the TV cannot be restrained even if you shoot the TV out of his hands, so just ignore him. This is a cop here so ignore and proceed round the corner. The open area ahead is full of enemies; announce to try and get them to give up otherwise lay waste to them all quickly, most of them carrying very harmful shotguns. Enter the building (a Health Pack can be found in one of the cubicles in the left toilets) and head out of the back door. Three enemies are here, then proceed down the next alley. On the level above are two enemies ahead behind the bins and more to the right in the windows. Take out who you can then head around the alley, up the rubble and on to the upper level. Go round and drop down the end, following the next alley. The nightclub is at the end, but four enemies run out with another two on the roof. Once they are disposed of, enter the club and the yellow marker to finish. 90%+ Tips - Yep, you got to be a goody two shoes here and restrain a whole lot of people. Announce around every turn and before you confront anyone, and if they fire shoot them a few times in the chest or anywhere else bar the head so they might change their minds and give themselves up after all. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.05. Missions 41-50 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------ Mission 41 - Hostage Situation ------------------------------ - Questions Used - 12 - Extreme High or Low Stress - 2 - Breaking Stage Misses - 0 This is essentially a timing minigame where you have to break the suspect into giving you information. The stress bar will move up and down quite a lot this time, so you have to time it right to get it within the area. 90%+ Tips - You thankfully get two extreme high or low stress chance penalties, but a lot fewer questions due to the bar moving up and down. When the area moves up and down, get it toward the top or bottom as it'll remain there for a split second longer making it easier; although you'll run the risk of getting the extreme edges of the graph when doing so. ---------------------------------------- Mission 42 - Accessing the Computer Labs ---------------------------------------- - Time - 2:00 - Times Discovered - 0 - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Follow the guy in the white shirt down the stairs, across the tracks and all the way through to the dead end. Take him with a Takedown or used the Silenced Pistol, search his body to get the keycard. Head all the way back to Jack and give it him. Now you've got to deactivate the security cameras; exit on to the walkway and head all the way round to the last room. Enter, take out the guy sitting at the computer and use the Circuit Breaker minigame to deactivate the cameras, and finish the level. 90%+ Tips - If you get spotted ONCE you'll get a 15% knock down - chances are you'll do this in the security room at the end, so quickly enter and aim for the head of the guy in there. You can also kill the keycard carrier just before you exit the main area, by the side of the train. --------------------------------------- Mission 43 - Finding the CTU Data Drive --------------------------------------- - Times Discovered - 0 - Alarms Triggered - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Probably the shortest mission in the game, but not to mention a tad tricky. Turn left and use the keycard to enter the data room. Enter stealth mode and enter the room proper, past the cubicle with the guys talking, round right corner, and left around twice where the door to the next room is at the end on the right. Two guards will come out now, so retreat back into the cubicle in the left corner. Wait out of sight until these two guards pass, then proceed into the area they came from. There are two guards around the corner talking, and another in the room just before that. Wait until the guy in there is in the other side of the room and is facing away and enter. Use the central data bank to hide from him, and wait until he comes over this side and head around it, and through the corner door. Enter the yellow marker halo to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - As long as you finish the mission completely unseen, you'll get 100% easily. Follow the walkthrough above to do this. --------------------------------------------- Mission 44 - Escaping Joseph Sin Chung's Base --------------------------------------------- + Head Shots - 10 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 20 (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Exit out the right door and around the corridor, where an enemy is. Stand in the doorway of the cubicle room and take out the enemies from here; you'll be able to see their heads over the cubicle walls. Head round and toward the exit where another two enemies come out to meet you. Use the security card to exit. Chase will now meet up with you, so head right and down the stairs (more enemies come up here). From the middle area of the stairs kill any enemies you can see below, then down to the ground, off the platform and proceed to the far side of the area (pointing where the yellow marker is) killing the enemies as you go (there are three or four to this far side, mostly around the trains). Head through the corner door where two enemies appear. Another is round the corner, then go right at the end. Three enemies run out of the left passage so lay waste to them, and head down the passage and step into the yellow marker by the door to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Accuracy and Head Shots are big factors here - you'll need to get over half of these guys with headshots, so aim well. Be very accurate to boot, so use the silenced pistol you get from the start to get more accurate aim. ----------------------------- Mission 45 - Looking for Kate ----------------------------- + Head Shots - 4 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 8 (20%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Walk onward and a jeep will approach from the right. Kill the two people inside and another two will appear on the left area. Take them out too, using the canisters if you wish. Enter the building and answer your cell from Chase. Enter the next area where five enemies run out of the door at the far right corner and take them all out - better when they are actually running out. Head through the door and kill the enemy guarding the door. Use the keycard on the door to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Accuracy and Head Shots are big factors here - you'll need to get over half of these guys with headshots, so aim well. Be very accurate to boot, so use the silenced pistol you get from the start to get more accurate aim. -------------------------- Mission 46 - Protect Chase -------------------------- + Head Shots - 5 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 10 (20%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head through the door ahead and up the stair well. Through the next door and take out the enemy by the window, as well as the one behind the crates on the far right wall. Three enemies will come from the stairwell area, so use the crates to guard yourself and take them down. Proceed through the door on that right wall to the roof outside, where the sniper is. Kill him and collect the Sniper Rifle and ammo. Equip it and aim at Chase at the bottom right (he is indicated by the yellow maker). Three enemies will advance on his position - take them down. Once they are killed, three more will come from the right, so pan over and try and kill them as they are running over. After that wave, Chase will move onward; aim at the yellow canisters over to the right of his position and shoot when you see the three enemies run past them. There is another wave before this mission is over. 90%+ Tips - Accuracy and Head Shots are big factors here - you'll need to get over half of these guys with headshots, so aim well. Be very accurate to boot, so use the silenced pistol you get from the start to get more accurate aim. As you'll be using the Sniper Rifle as well, wait until enemies have stopped moving and you have a clear shot before shooting. Chase can withstand some damage after all. --------------------------- Mission 47 - Chase Ambushed --------------------------- + Head Shots - 5 (30%) + Accuracy - 80% (30%) + Stealth Takedowns - 2 (20%) + Enemies Killed - 15 (20%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 250 Chase has sustained heavy damage and with his low health he has black outs and get disorientated (which is pretty cool). Enter stealth mode and proceed down the track. An enemy will be round the corner up ahead, so approach him and use Takedown to kill him silently. Collect this weapon and proceed. The path will split into two with an enemy on each side - try and silently proceed through either, otherwise blast your way through. Kick down the door after, and run ahead in to the building frame on your left, and use the Health Point on the wall to full recover your health, and stop further blackouts. Enemies will now come from where you were just, so turn and take them all out from here. Turn left and head through the other building frames, where half a dozen enemies are dotted around. Gradually pick them off and head up the dirt track afterward, where Sin Chung is waiting. He'll release explosive canisters toward you, but shoot them before they reach you. Head up and left and he'll do it again, so shoot them and continue. He'll be up the hill behind the first row of crates - if you aim carefully, you can kill him with a single headshot and end the mission. 90%+ Tips - Fairly tricky. Ensure you get two stealth takedowns at the start before your health recovers, and that you kill all the enemies you come across - that means at the end you leave Sin Chung until last so you can get more of a body count for that criteria. As always, be accurate and nab a few headshots. -------------------------- Mission 48 - The Informant -------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 8 (50%) + Chopper Damage - 4000 (30%) + Accuracy - 75% (20%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Health Used - 0 Wait until the Chopper stops firing, then quickly move away from the wall, move the camera around and run through the double doors, through to the doors on the far side of the cafe, across the pier and down the right side and enter the building. Hopefully you won't have sustained a lot of damage so far. There is a health pack on the bench. Enter the next door where three enemies enter the dodgems area ahead, and take them down. Run over to each of their bodies and get the ammo - you are gonna need it. Stand by the door to the outside and you'd have noticed that the chopper wants to kill you slightly. Wait until he stops firing, aim out and you can fire about 20 rounds before he starts again. Reload while you wait, and repeat. Soon he'll retreat, so walk down the pier and lock on. When the crosshair turns red let rip until he escapes. Walk on where more enemies appear. Take them down, but chances are you'll run out of ammo and have to revert to the pistol, so take it easily. Once they are all dead, head over to the car on the left to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Ensure the chopper escapes, and kill all the enemies. Don't use any health either - you can easily do this mission without using any, just don't be afraid to finish with less than half of your health gauge being full. Or empty. Depends on your optimism. --------------------------------------- Mission 49 - Searching Radford's Office --------------------------------------- + civilians Rescued - 4 (50%) + Head Shots - 10 (30%) + Enemies Killed - 28 (10%) + Accuracy - 80% (10%) - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - civilians Killed - 0 - Health Used - 0 Head right and take down the Agent at the foot of the stairs. Two more are ahead, with another two in the two rooms following. Continue through the rooms and watch out for Agents behind doors, which if swung open injure you quite heavily (more so than a bullet, which is kinda strange). After are some stairs, with an agent waiting up the first flight. Proceed up them, through the room and left. You'll hear someone shouting for help - they are in the elevator on the right, but you cannot open it due to a lack of power. Remember this for later. Proceed through the doorway on the left into the central room. Collect the health pack on the left table, and head through the door. Take out the enemy straight ahead, and watch out for another two to your right, one of which will appear out of the room. Collect the ammo and go into that room to get a fancy rifle, despite little ammo. Go opposite here to where that lone enemy was and stay by the door - no power. Hmm. Head through the doorway on the right and through the room and take down the enemy after. Head down through the floor and in to the next room and activate the power. Clamber back up the rubble and out. Remember that civilian in the lift? Go back to her and use the Circuit Breaker to let her out. Go to that door again and use Sequence Analyser to open this door. Two enemies are ahead, one behind the left wall and the other behind the central mass of rubble. There is also another enemy down the left side who is holding someone hostage - head shot him to release the civilian. Head round this left side and round, where an enemy is waiting on the balcony. Up the stairs and take out the enemy left. Ignore those on the right side, and kill the one behind the rubble left. Go through the door to see a civilian being held hostage - aim and headshot the agent to release her. Now head back and round that right side where two enemies are and head through the central door. Use the Health Point on the far wall if you want, and head up the ladder to the top floor. Head through the next room and out, and use a rifle to take down the two agents ahead. Walk onward and another two will appear out of that room. Head in and into the next room where two enemies are hiding along the left side. After another two rooms are two more enemies too (>_>). Head through the door and take down the enemy and through the next door. Another civilian is behind held hostage to the left, so headshot the enemy to release him. Before progressing go right and kick open the right door and announce at the civilian to rescue another. Head back and use the keycard on the door, where two agents guard the safe. Use the Circuit Breaker to crack into the safe and end the mission. 90%+ Tips - Rescue ALL the civilians, including those being hostage. Don't forget that one trapped in the elevator. As always, kill everyone, get those headshots and be half accurate. ---------------------------- Mission 50 - DOD System Hack ---------------------------- - Time - 4:00 - Bad Nodes Found - 0 - Incorrect Data Matches - 0 A diagram for the first and second parts of this mission can be found here - http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/24_the_game_dod_system_hack.png The first stage is Signal Bounce. Here you have to create the longest route possible to give you more time for the next stage. The more nodes you get in your route, the more time you have. Reach a dead end and you'll have to start over again. The route for the longest time is - Left; Right; Down; Down; Down; Up; Up; Right; Down; Right; Right; Down; Down; Up; Up; Down; Down; Left; Left; Left; Right; Left; Down; Left; Up; Up; Left; Left; Down; Right (DOD). The second part is Network Scan, where you have to connect the start and finishing nodes up together. You are given a set amount of time to check the route, and then you have to go through with it without hitting any bad nodes along the way, otherwise you'll have to start over again. A map for the route can be found in the URL above, otherwise follow this route - Right; Right; Up; Right; Right; Right; Down; Down; Right; Up; Right; Up; Left; Down left; Left (Finish). The last part is unscrambling the data. 90%+ Tips - Use the two maps to zip through the first two sections, allowing you to undertake the third without much pressure so you won't slip up as much. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 3.06. Missions 51-58 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ---------------------------------- Mission 51 - Armored Truck Pursuit ---------------------------------- - Driven Vehicle Damage - $25 Follow the track, it's pretty linear. When you see the screen split showing rock falls, drive on the left side of the road. Keep going after a tunnel of sorts you should have more or less caught up with the truck. After a turn you'll see a search light in the distance - take the road off to the right to avoid it. You'll be taking such side roads from now on. Stay on this higher road, across a bridge and take the left road when a searchlight is ahead of you. After another rockfall there is a really tight right turn to watch out for. Back on the main path, take another left off the side and you'll soon be back on the main path. Finally, smash through the fence into the side path that goes higher and get out at the end (where the yellow light is). Run down the hill and when the searchlight is on the left, run across right, wait until it moves and head around to the back of the truck to finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - Easy. As long as you don't total the vehicle you'll pass, as this is the only criteria that can lower your score. --------------------------------------- Mission 52 - Fort Lesker's Control Room --------------------------------------- + Head Shots - 10 (50%) + Enemies Killed - 35 (30%) + Accuracy - 80% (10%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Alarms Triggered - 1 Get in the Jeep and proceed down the tunnel, and get out when you get to a doorway of sorts. To the left on the wall is an alarm - shoot it to deactivate it then kill all the enemies around you. Proceed to the next open area and kill all those here, too. Be sure to take cover as they will hurt you, plus be sure to get the ammo from their bodies, as you can get a few hundred rounds of the M4 Combine. Head down the tunnel the two enemies were guarding where two enemies will appear. Kill them and at the end of the tunnel is a large room, with surprise surprise, more enemies. You can kill most of them from this doorway, so hide at the side and aim out and gradually pick them off. There are a couple more on the right side of the room. Head up the stairs on the left side to the walkways above to the far side where the path splits. Go right for a Health Point, and turn left to the other walkway, and take out any enemies that run out of the door. Some won't run out, so walk back to the split and down the left path and kill those waiting for you. Proceed down that path. At the Storage Warehouse, head down the stairs and round the crates to find enemies patrolling. There are three to four on the ground, and another two on the next set of stairs. Proceed onward round the corner and kill the two enemies running down. In the next open area, just round the corner are three enemies. More are on the walkway and more will soon join them, so make it up the steps to the above walkway taking out the enemies. Down the next passage is the Control Room, however five or so enemies guard it before you can get inside and step on the yellow marker to complete the level. 90%+ Tips - The only things that might get you are health and enemies killed. Chances are you'll get heavily injured if you don't play this level carefully, so take your time (apart from toward the end of course when there is a countdown). About enemies killed - ensure you kill all the enemies in the first two rooms (you can leave those on the side paths as you drive the Jeep down the tunnel) and remember the one enemy round the next corner after the Control Room door. ------------------------------- Mission 53 - Cracking The Codes ------------------------------- - Time - 1:15 - Number Swaps Made - 80 YELLOW. BLUE. GREEN. RED. This is essentially four Sequence Analyser minigames. You have to reorder the letter order until you get the right code. This is random so no concrete answer can be given, but just to get the first letter (move each letter one by one to the far left) until you get that, then the second one etc until they are all done. Chances are you'll most of the letters as you are rearranging for the first few anyway. First go to the yellow shaded panel and do that sequence. Then the Blue one round the corner, then green and finally red. It's important that you do it in that order. 90%+ Tips - You have 80 swaps in total, about 20 each, plus you got to do it in a super fast time. Just concentrate on getting the first letter done and chances are it'll all fall into place. ------------------------------------ Mission 54 - Escape From Fort Lesker ------------------------------------ + Head Shots - 20 (40%) + Enemies Killed - 90 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 Kill the two enemies at the corner and proceed in to the next room. DO NOT enter the centre of this room and walk across, as you'll get shot to pieces within about 3 seconds. Well not quite, but you'll get most of your health knocked down severely. Instead, just round the outside path via the short set of steps to the right, and work your way around killing the enemies as you go. Stand before the last room of this outside ring and from the doorway take down all the black clothed enemies that wonder in to your sights. There are loads here, so just gradually pick them off. Don't wonder in and Rambo it, otherwise you'll die quick. Search the bodies for ammo before they disappear. Down the passage, an enemy will come out and set an infrared line between the two bins. Kill the enemy and aim and shoot the line to blow it up (stand back, obviously) and head round the next corner. Get a Health Pack, Body Armour and Adrenaline from the side room and continue. Kill all the enemies here and enter the Control Room to get Chase. Awesome. Now you'll be heading back through where Chase came from in the last mission. Continue down the passage and onto the walkway of the next area. There are a few enemies on this walkway but most are below, and about half a dozen black clothed enemies wonder in through the far left corner door. Stand from the walkway and make easy work out of them with the Assault Rifle. Get the ammo from all the bodies, use the Health Point on the wall by the next passage entrance, and continue. DO NOT run down this next passage, and wait until the enemy runs from behind the crates, setting the infra red wire trap. Kill him then blow up the trap. Round the corner in to the Storage Werehouse. Stand on this upper area and take down most of the enemies (if you wait a second or two they all come out of the woodwork and try and shoot you). Kill off any remaining foes and go to the big door at the far. Chase will hack through with the conveniently placed laptop by the door, while you give cover. Adjust the camera toward the upper right doorway (where Chase came through in the last mission) and just aim and shoot any enemies that run out. Keep doing this until Chase is finished and proceed. There is an enemy straight from the first corner so take him out, grab the Health Pack from the table and up the stairs to the walkway. You'll be above the area where Chase first entered; there are loads of enemies below and unless you want to get the 90%+ grade I advise you go on to the tunnel ahead, other wise wipe out what you can. After the tunnel there is another walkway above the large area again brimming with terrorist scum, so either run on ahead or take them all out. Up to you. In the next room there is an enemy behind the boxes in front of you and another to the left, and collect the Health Pack from the shelf and the Adrenaline from the corner table. Head down the stairs and use the Health Point if you need for you or Chase by the doorway. Onward is a Jeep, enter and just go round the corner and get out, and kill the two enemies here. Get the ammo and drive on. Drive quickly up the ramp before the doors close and continue to the next area. Use some cover and hide from the mass of enemies and gradually take them all out. Don't leave Chase behind and continue up the tunnel to the outside where the Chopper is. There are more enemies to dispose of here before you can finish the mission. 90%+ Tips - A hard mission in general, but even tougher as you want to kill all the enemies you meet to get the 90 enemy kills (!) target. I mean, I don't think Jack has even MET that many people in 24, let alone kill them. So you'll have to kill everyone, and this also takes a toll on your health. Using health knocks your score down a lot, so it's quite hard to balance the two. Apart from that the headshots and accuracy shouldn't be that hard to meet here. ------------------------------ Mission 55 - Raiding The Docks ------------------------------ + Head Shots - 10 (40%) + Enemies Killed - 20 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Team-mates Killed - 0 Immediately an enemy will start running toward you from ahead, so kill him and move on round the corner. Hide behind the left crates and dispose of the four-five enemies that are at the next corner. Continue, take down all the enemies here and you'll see a group run over to the left. The CTU Team will arrive now. Head left and round the left from where you returned as you'll have noticed that the group of enemies you just saw running has double backed on you. Kill them all. More enemies will come from the other areas of the pier, so use the crates as cover and kill them, and proceed round to the area with loads of small crates littering the ground. A Jeep will career round the corner, so shoot the occupants and use canisters to take down more enemies. There are about eight enemies here, so hide behind the small crates and gradually pick them off. Once they are all dead, the mission is done. 90%+ Tips - Head shots and enemies killed should be no problems, and as long as accuracy is half OK then you should pass. A problem can be that one of the CTU Team is killed, effectively eliminating your chance to pass here. Try and kill all the enemies as fast as possible, and ensure none of them surround you halfway through after the team arrives and you should do alright. ---------------------------- Mission 56 - Jack Vs. Madsen ---------------------------- + Accuracy - 80% (50%) + Head Shots - 3 (30%) + Enemies Killed - `0 (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 - Property Damage - $4000 Head under the stairs that Madsen runs up and collect the Health Pack, then go up them yourself. Before proceeding outside, get the Adrenaline from the right and also just step outside a little as Madsen will swing a crane toward you. Wait until it stops moving and proceed down and right. Hide behind one of the side structures and kill all the enemies here, loot their corpses for ammo and head across the wooden walkway into the next building. Shoot the enemy on the higher level and shoot the canisters ahead before they roll down to you. Head up the ramp and hide behind the crates here, taking down the enemies. There is a Health Point on the left wall if you need it. Hopefully you'll have some Assault Rifle ammo for this next part. Open the door to the outside and shoot the enemies you can see; there are two to the left, two on the right and a sniper on the far end of the pier. Run down the pier on the right and with the Assault Rifle, aim at Madsen's speed- boat as it comes out and let rip. It should blow up really quickly, otherwise you'll have chance to get him before be rides off into the horizon. Once he is dead, the mission is over! 90%+ Tips - Accuracy accounts for HALF of your grade, so you need to be stupidly accurate to even get 50%. Just take your time and aim carefully. Apart from that, the headshots and enemy totals should be fine. Just don't use any health, either. ---------------------------- Mission 57 - Taking The Ship ---------------------------- + Enemies Killed - 20 (100%) - Chopper Damage - 18000 Woo, a fun mission. You control a minigun on the chopper and kill all the enemies on the boat before it can land. Just take your time and shoot each enemy individually, aiming at the upper torso. Once it does an entire loop round it'll stop and allow all the enemies to meet up so you can finish them all off. To stop overheating shoot in short spurts at individuals. 90%+ Tips - As you have to kill all the enemies anyway, you should get this criteria. You'll only fail if you come out with a fraction of chopper health remaining too. -------------------------------Mission 58 - The Final Showdown ------------------------------- + Head Shots - 10 (40%) + Accuracy - 80% (40%) + Enemies Killed - 25 (20%) - Health Used - 0 - Surrendered Enemies Shot - 0 - Incapacitated Enemies Shot - 0 The final mission! Most of the enemies will have body armour so aim for the head if you can. Kill the two enemies here and head down the side stairs down below. Round the corner, there are three enemies in this passage and another four in the right room. Take them all down, and get the cache of weapons and the Health Pack from the small left room before continuing. Run down to the Lower Deck (stairs on the right side) before the Chopper shoots you up good. Two enemies greet you ahead and one behind. Get the Body Armour from the right room, kill the two enemies ahead and get the Health Pack from the end room and head through the right door. Three enemies are in here, and go outside. You have 1:30 minutes to kill Max, however you have more than enough time. Kill the two enemies on the left, and all those ahead. Shoot the canisters here too to get those out of sight. After doing that, head down the LEFT side, kill the enemy that meets you and down to the end boat. Max has Kate hostage, but this shouldn't be a problem as you have dealt with this situation before plenty of times in the game. Aim carefully and head shot Max to finish. He might shift round slightly, so move left around more to get a clearer shot of his smug mug and get him. Game over! 90%+ Tips - Be sure to kill all the enemies you come across, especially those at the end when the timer appears - you'll have more than enough time to finish the level so be sure to clear the place out before getting Max. =============================================================================== ------------------------ 4. BONUS UNLOCKABLES ------------------------ =============================================================================== To unlock bonus items in the game, complete a mission with a score of 90% or above. Each mission has an unlockable, meaning the game has a bit of replay value. Sadly most of the unlockables are a bit poor, like character models, but the images and videos are interesting. Here is a list of them all so you can unlock which ones you like. This list is taken from the Codes and Secrets page of GameFAQs. Thanks to the various contributors which submitted it's content. FAQ'S ------------ =============================================================================== =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Q. Why can't I lock on to certain enemies? A. You have to actually SEE them before you can lock on. True you know their positions and you can sort of see them from the corner of the screen, but shift the camera with the right analog stick and then aim and you should lock on. It's the crappy aiming system's fault, not yours. :) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Q. What is the best way to do headshots? A. With practice, after locking on just nudge up on the analog stick while firing to spray bullets up the torso and on the head to get a headshot. Not only does this increase your accuracy but it gets you a headshot. Great for meeting the 90% criteria eh? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Q. Why does Kim always get in trouble? A. She must be jinxed. Either that, or being Jack's daughter might have something to do with it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Any other questions, feel free to give me an email. =============================================================================== ------------------------------------ 6.
