I have a problem when I got all five invention pieces on the level and the three weapon pieces the weapon pieces worked but when I reached the blue pad at the end of the level it said that I am missing some invention pieces but I have all five please help me I need to know if it's a glitch or I need a certain combination of these pieces to make the invention please help

Well, if you see a cutscene where Jimmy says he doesn't have enough parts, then you beat the level, because you get more parts in the next level. If it's not a cutscene, then maybe it is a glitch, unfortunately.
I'm stuck on this too, almost 15 years later. I started the game all over, and got the same issue. I wish someone out there knew
