This mission was the first one I ever failed. But it can be done. The best advice I can give is to stick by him, and when he goes inside the restaurant keep watch of the two sides because this is where the men always come from. It took me a while and I got lucky in the end.
I blocked the front and back entrance with a car, so the attackers wont be able to get in. Don't block the door into the owners office so that he can get in and out. Then first help the owner shoot the gangsters, then go up the stairs and wait for the rest of the gangsters to come, then simply blow up their vehicles with a missile or rocked launcher and take care of any survivors with your AK or Carbine.
