How do you change costumes? I can't figure it out????

You press the start button at the player select screen [If you have the costume].
When you pick your character don't press X press start
P.S. You can only use an alternate costume if you unlock it
Press start when you select you character on the select character screen.
For Xbox you go on the character selection and press x on the character you want to change there costume.
