Question for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
How do I defeat volgin.
I have tried everything from wearing him down with tranqulisers to shooting him but when I get to the cutscene there only is ever around 5secs left before the bomb goes off so does anyone know how to wittle his life or stamina down even quicker.

When you fight him keep throwin stun grenades at him to take his stamina bar down and get his camo

I beat him by using CQC on him (by clicking one of the thumbsticks down I think). Don't have a gun equipped, because he will make your bullets explode. Use your knife or your fists and activate CQC. Do the move where Snake throws his enemy on the ground (I can't remember the buttons; look in the game manual on how to activate that move.) After that, Volgin was stunned on the ground for a few seconds. Then pull out your gun and unload on him untill he gets back up, then repeat.

If you wear the raiden mask at the start of the fight he hesitates to attack you, that soon stops once you start smacking him around a bit. Its a good idea to beat as many bosses with the tranq gun/ other means of wearing them down because you get a speasial type of camo for each one you beat.

Hi I'm up to fighting volgin too and after the cutscene I have 3 minutes 50 or something left. Well anyways all that I done was get your pistol out and run up to volgin and grab him then let go and quickly awitch to your m37 (shotgun) and shoot him in the back

I kicked his butt by using the Rikov trick then unloading a shotgun in his face. I only used the shotgun to hit him and the cutscene came after about 20 seconds. I keep using the shot gun and he was down within a minute

Dude, Forget CQC, Forget running up behind him, just use Stun Grenades. This Only Takes About A Minute (usually less) and you'll even get his special camo

You could also make him electricute himself when he goes to recharge shoot the water pipes and he gets a shock or blow him to peices with a rpg-7

Hankerchief or gas cigs will defeat him quickly. Just wait til he is recharging and blitz him with either weapon.
