Go to Hagrits, go in the trees turn right and go to the wall turn right and it should be there...

I had the same problem :/ But if you leave Hogwarts and go towards hagird's hut, then keep walking until you reach the wall... Keep walking along the edge of the wall glancing around in the bushes and along the perimeter of the herbology greenhouses Smile

I can't find the potion jar anywhere near hagrid's hut nor near the greenhouse walls. Even used lumos! Maybe you can find it only during night time!!!

I had to go back to the kid and talk to him again. He had to ask me to find his potion jar again, and then I found it near the brown bushes to the left of the greenhouse.

On the left side of the green house right nfront of the bush that meets the wall. It's small and green and easy to miss.
