I got the sun sigil for tidus and I have the caldabolg.
How do I equip it so it gives me the overdrive.
PS. do I need the sun crest?

To make the weapon any good, yes you will need the crest.
Once you have both for a certain person get the cloudy mirror by winning the chocobo race at Remiem temple.
Upgrade it to the celestial mirror in macalania woods, (find the womns husband in the place the party rested after bevelle, then find there son on the shiny new path leading up into the trees.
Once there talk to the boy then use the mirror.) go up to what just upgraded your mirror and talk to it, it will ask if you are to present any weapons say yes and it will up grade it with the crest.
Talk to it again and it will upgrade that weapon with the sigil and presdo its done, now do the same for the rest of your party members.
