Is there an easy way to beat Defender X.

I am stuck A LOT...

Yes there's an easy way if you still didn't beat him.

Ok to start have someone know Provoke, it is on Tidus' part of the grid so most likely he will have it. While Defender X is under Provoke he will only attack the charcter who used Provoke and the attack is called Blast Punch or something very close.

Blast Punch cannot kill anyone ever, this move will continue to reduce their life by what I believe is half until they are left with 1 HP after they have 1 HP it will deal zero damage. Fight him in any form you want but make sure he always is Provoked.

Also have Haste and a good idea is to have everybody do atleast one battle command so they all get some AP.

This will help for sure. Use Tidus to cast Hastega, use all party members even just for healing or defending.

Make sure you have Tidus, Yuna, and Auron in your party after this.

Have Yuna cast Protect on everyone, and use Auron's Armor Break against the massive mech. It helps if Yuna has any third level spells to use.

Repeat this, and after every turn Defender X takes, use Cura or Curaga. Eventually, it will fall.
