How To Beat Sephiroth For Sucky Gamers Like Me

Added:

First of all, I am truly one of the worst gamer's you'll find anywhere. I love video games, but I truly suck at them... So, if anyone needs help beating Sephiroth, this will probably help.

1. Abilities You Will Need: I'm not really for sure, because I just give Sora abilities that I think sound cool. I do know that you need Finishing Plus. If you don't have that, you will have trouble. You also need some aerial finishing thing, explosion (or whatever that's called), and the abilities that come with Wisdom, Master, and Final. Another thing, you DO NOT need Trinity Limit. Trust me you can beat him without it.

2. Keyblade: I beat him with the Ultima Keyblade (and coming from me, that's really weird, I have never got an "ultimate" weapon in any game before). But seriously, once you get the hang of it, you can probably do it with the Kingdom Key (I'm trying that after I'm done typing this!).

3. Customization: You know, the things that you can put on the triangle, square, circle, and "x" after you push L1. I had:

Triangle: Reflega

Square: Hi-Potion (I had 4, but the more the better)

Circle: Mega-Elixir (Just in case you can't get to him in time when he does "Sin Harvest".)

"X": Curaga (Just in case)

4. Level: I was on level 91, but truly, if I woulda learned the secret weapon (see: below) a long time ago, I coulda beat him at like level 60.

5. Take it SLOW! Do not try and rush this battle, it will only get you killed.

Ok, now time for the battle:

6. First he will (obviously) do the reaction command attack. Simply push triangle and attack until the combo is over, then jump and glide away. Lock on to him and walk in a circle. If he starts swiping his sword at air and is coming at you, simply avoid the attack and perform another combo when he is done. (Somtimes you will not have a chance to attack after his attack). Occasionally he will do the reaction command attack, and when he does make sure you're not in the air (unless you are extremely high up). If you are, you will not be able press the reaction command and he will attack you. The only upside to this (only works at level 90 or above normally) is that you usually get another combo in. Whenever he disappears, let him hit you into the air and wait for a couple of seconds in mid-air until he appears beside you, and push "square" (this may be hard if this is the first time you've ever tried this battle, but you will get used to it), then after a little while finish the combo with a normal "X" attack.

Now this is when he starts to go crazy. After a little bit of punishment dealt, he will use this attack when blue-purple orbs come out and chase you around. This is easily dealt with. Simply use Reflega (Using L1 works best, as I said above). Sometimes, this doesn't go as planned though... If he tries to attack you right after Reflega is over, I found it easiest to simply let him damage you, but if you have the chance, dodge it. Another one of his attacks is when like 5 little tornadoes of fire surround him. These try to drag you closer, but simply glide away. And his best, strongest attack is the easiest to dodge, seeing as he leaves himself wide open. It is the Sin Harvest attack, he floats into the air and says "Sin Harvest", and all of the sudden you're HP and MP are gone... Luckily, he has no means of attack or defense when he does this. Simply double jump (and glide, if you're too far away) and attack him. However if you're to late, just forget about it and use the mega-elixir (AFTER THE ATTACK IS OVER!).

Ok, I canged my mind, this is when he starts going crazy... When Sephiroth has 4 1/2 bars of health left, he goes into a "berserker" type of thing. Bsically stay with the strategy (attacking only when there is an open spot) and you'll be fine, but he is a lot faster, and adds one more attack to his moveset. He floats into the air just like Sin Harvest, but doesn't say Sin Harvest. Remember this, because you don't want to attack him when he's about to do this move. Anyway, these giant meteors start shooting at you from the sky. Simply keep double-jumping to the left and right. You probably will get hit a couple of times, but just keep jumping! (Just keep jumping, just keep jumping... Lol)

Finally, when there is visibally 2 - 1 1/2 bars of health left find an open spot to attack and hit the Trinity Limit (I know I said don't use Trinity, but this is an exception). And you win, just like that!

I know it sounds a lot easier than it really is, but that's because it is! All you really have to do is memorize his moves and figure out the defense for it!

7. Sephiroth's Moves

1. Reaction command attack: A big green triangle will appear: Press the triangle button, then perform a combo.

2. Crazy Sword Swipe Thing: You just have to watch for it: Simply jump and glide away.

3. Sephy knocks you into the air: He'll disappear: Let him hit you into the air, then press square when he re-appears.

4. The Orbs: the orbs will appear...: Use Reflega (Set at L1+Triangle)

5. Little Fire Tornado Things: Really sorry, but I can't remember... He says something: Glide away.

6. Sin Harvest: He exclaims "Sin Harvest": Double jump and attack him OR wait until the attack is over and use a mega-elixir. (preferrably attack him)

7. Meteors: He floats into the air like Sin Harvest, but kinda just appears there: Double Jump left and right over-and-over.

8. Control your heart-rate. I know it sounds stupid, but truly, this is the reason why I lost so many boss battles. I start to get all anxious and I forget what to do next... It's weird because usually when I'm about to give up, and I'm like "Oh well, I'll try one more time" I beat the boss. If you cannot beat him in at least 5 tries, wait until tomorrow and try again. Everytime I do that, I seem to get better the nex day.

So that's all! I really hope this helped!
