Cheat Codes for WCW/nWo Thunder
========================================================================
Here are some of the cheat codes that I have gathered while surfing
the Internet. Below is the list of codes, which has been tested and it
works. Hence I would like to thank the following websites/FAQs for the
codes
Cheat Code Central - For all major codes
Deathpain's FAQ - For the Bonus Wrestlers
GameSages - For all major codes and the last three codes.

1. Big Heads Mode
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press R1 7 times, R2, Select at the options screen or the title
screen. The characters will have huge enormous heads! To remove this
feature, just re-enter the code or reset the game.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Big Heads, Hands, Feet and Weapons Mode
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press R2 7 times, R1, Select at the options screen or the title
screen. The character seems a bit out-shaped having enormous limbs,
hands and heads.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Ring Select
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press R1, R2, R1, R2, Select at the options screen to scroll though
various screen. Each time, the Select button is being pressed, the
current ring will advance by one. To move in the other direction,
press L1, L2, L1, L2, Select.
Enable this code allows you to select the stage that you preferred.

4. Might Meter
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press L2 4 times, R2 4 times, L1 4 times, R1 4 times and press Select
while at the option screen. Now you will be able to adjust the
offensive and defensive attributes of each wrestler. It works also at
the title screen.
Enable this code allows you to change the attributes of a wrestler.
Red is the weakest whereas Green is the strongest.

5. FMV/Movie Sequence
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press R1 4 times, L1 4 times, Select while at the option screen. Press
Left + X to advance through the sequences. Right + X to move back
[rewind]. To exit just press Start twice to exit.

6. Activate Bonus Wrestlers
------------------------------------------------------------------------
To activate all bonus wrestlers, just enter the code at the option or
title screen and you will be able to use the hidden characters
instantly. Save it to prevent repeat the code again.
R1 4 times, L1 4 times, R2 4 times, L2 4 times, Select
NOTE: The code works also at the character selection screen.

7. Unlock Individual wrestlers
------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the character selection screen, highlight the wrestler and press
L1, R1, L2, R2, Select. This will unlock the wrestler in the hidden
characters set. Refer to Miscellaneous section for information.

8. Cage Ring in Any Type of Match
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enter the option menu, highlight the "Random" ring selection, and
press R1, R2, R1, R2, Select. If done correctly, you will hear the
word "Cage" being spoken.

9. USO Ring code #1: Dancing Wrestlers
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enable the "All rings" code and choose the USO ring to have dancing
wrestlers. Here are the controls:
L1: Pan to the other side of ring [except for Battle Royal]
R1: Change the view.
L2: A small dance movement
For more dancing moves, excute any generic wrestling move such as
hip toss, scoop slam or backbreaker.

10. USO Ring code #2: Hints
------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can excute new moves off the top turnbackle, just press the
following and you will excute the following move:
Double Foot Stomp: Press Triangle or Square
Shooting Star Stomp: Press X

11. Inland Movie Clip
------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the title screen, press R1 4 times, L1 4 times and SELECT. Now
you will be able to view a looping video clip of the Inland
Productions logo.

12. Movie Selection Mode
------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you still can't get over seeing the opening Movie again, press
R2 4 times, L2 4 times, R1 4 times, L2 4 times, press SELECT at the
character selection screen. Then use the RIGHT and LEFT button to
scroll through the movies and select X to view them.

13. Play as Nitro Girls
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the title screen, press L2 4 times, R2 4 times, L1 4 times, R1
4 times and press SELECT and you will be able to play as the hidden
Nitro grils.

gives the game more fun to play. However, I still can't find additional
movelists such as trademark finishers for most of hidden characters.
Hence, I could say that the list is still incomplete. Maybe, there are
no finishers for the hidden characters...

Tips for playing WCW/nWo Thunder
========================================================================
1. Regain Energy
When you are low in energy, do the Test of Strength [Up, Circle] and
tap circle to gain energy. There is another method, that's doing
your character's taunt [press L2], that's a bit risky as your
character can't guard himself in doing so.
2. Weapon in Combat
Weapons are found outside of the ring during a hardcore match. There
are many kinds of them from STOP sign to television sets. [They are
being discussed in further details under the Miscellaneous section]. To
grab a weapon, just walk to it and here is the controls

3. Notes while playing Battle Royal
During Battle Royal, you cannot pin your opponents. You can only win
by throwing them out of the ring off the top ropes by pressing Back, X,
Circle.
4. Throwing Opponent off the top turnbackle
To throw opponent off the top turnbackle, press Up-Forward + Triangle or
Square. This only applies when the character is about to fall off the
top turnbackle.
5. Notes about Climb and Pummel
The move Climb and Pummel can only be used by some players such as
Kevin Nash.
6. Notes about Submission.
Once you have defeated using a submission type trademark finisher,
you will automatically win by submission.

Here is the list of wrestlers found in the game at beginning without
using codes or gameshark. I have also includes their group, height,

note that trademark finishers can only be done if the life bar of your
opponent is flashing red.

Weapon List in WCW/nWo Thunder

Weapons are generally found outside the ring. They does great
destructive damage, when it has hit your opponent. However, you can
easily forced a weapon to drop off your opponent's hands by attacking
him/her. There is a time limit that you can hold the weapon but it will
be a different story if you has change the settings in the option
screen. I have classified them into three main categories:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
MASSIVE WEAPONS are basically weapons that will not hit your
opponent on the ground when you press X.
LIGHT WEAPONS are basically weapons that could hit your opponent on
the ground when you press X. This weapons cannot be use to choke your
opponent.
POLES are the best of all these weapons. They could hit opponents whom
are lying on the ground and choke your opponents.

As you went through the character's selection screen, you will find
a little human model symbol at the top-right hand corner. The colours
determine the strength of the character. The Might Meter has focused
on four sections of a wrestler, they are arms, legs, body and head.
Green is strongest and red is weakest.
Here is the range of colours [arranged from the weakest to strongest]

Sending a Question

This problem has given me much problems from my previous FAQs. I have
tried my best to answer when possible. Also don't ask me questions which
answers can be found in the FAQ. First of all, read the following before
sending an e-mail to Scott:
- remember to add in "WCW/nWo Thunder" as your subject in the subject
field of the e-mail. I have gotten countless e-mails for FF8 and it
will help me if you classified it with the game titles.
- Next state your question as clearly as possible. If I find the e-mail
quite hard to understand, I really don't know how to help it.
- Make sure that words are not in CAPS lock [capital letters], which is
quite rude, anywhere it doesn't matter to me. But try to avoid it
when necessary. Once I got really in a bad mood that I delete all
e-mails that written in CAPS lock..
- If a question is too frequently asked, I will add it to the FAQ under
frequently-asked section.
- Don't expect me to give answers which can be found in the FAQ. Or it
will be useless for me to type it out so concisely.
- If you have problems in locating a shop/building, refer to the Maps
section to settle out those problems.
- BTW, unlike other FAQ writers, I have only one motive and that's to
help you guys out there by writting the FAQ as concise as possible. [
in order to give the help that I could]. Well, the FAQ can be proved
by judging the amount of e-mails.

A: Sure as long as the following steps are followed:

I know that some guys out there have problems in access to Internet
due to personal reasons. But it can't be helped. Anyway, you can
always count on a friend to get it for you. I felt quite sorry for
WebTV users as they can access a maximum of 170 Kbs. Don't worry, I
will try my best to keep this file small. Or I may spilt the FAQ in
separate FAQs.
Q: What other FAQs that you have written?
A: Quite a lot, you can check it out at my Contributor page anyway.
Q: Why you haven't answered my e-mail?
A: There perhaps may be a few reasons:
- school [I still got tons of assignments/projects/tests]
- the answer can be found in the FAQ [if you haven't received the
e-mail for two weeks]. I always check my e-mail during weekends/
holidays, unless I am really busy for that week.
- Other things may coped up.
Note that if you can't contact me, feel free to contact other FAQ
writers for the particular game. But I will be free most of the time
during school breaks.
- I may be busying playing the game to uncover more secrets.
