What this guide has is the charts applicable for simulation mode. It also contains check-off boxes which appear as enclosed brackets ( [] ). In the event that you wish to print this chart, you may find these check-off boxes quite handy. It will help you keep track of what races you've won while on your quest to complete the game 100%. In order to fully finish the game, you'll have to complete certain tasks which are not in these charts, SUCH AS the licensing tests and Arcade Mode. These charts cover the 4 areas covered in "go race" in Simulation Mode (Special Events, GT League, Rally Races & Endurance Races) as well as the Manufacturer's Races. ============================================================================================= _____________________ | ___________________ | || || ------------------------ || SPECIAL EVENTS || ------------------------ ||___________________|| |_____________________| This chart shows the following information: ------------------------------------------- CATEGORY - This will show on the screen. Most races are limited by horsepower, except for those which specifically specify a certain drivetrain (ex. Front Wheel Drive) EVENT NAME - Once you choose a category, you will have several races to choose from. They are identified simply by the name of the race track you'll be racing on. MAX - The maximum horsepower you are allowed to have on the car you're driving (to ENTER the race. Most races will allow you to have up to 5 hp more than what is stated. Careful as the amount of hp shown on your car in the sales shop does not always match what shows on the car in your garage; and likewise does not always match what is shown on the screen when you go to set-up your tuning after entering a race. CAR TO WIN - The name of the prize car you get for winning that race. HP - The horsepower of the prize car. VALUE - The value of the prize car. DT - The drivetrain of the prize car. PRIZE - The prize amount for winning that race. TOTAL - The total amount you get if you ADD the prize amount, plus the amount you would get for the car if you choose to sell it. [] - This is as close to a "box" as one can get using ASCII; it is intended to create a "checklist" in the event that you wish to print this chart. CATEGORY EVENT NAME MAX CAR TO WIN HP VALUE DT. From the "Home" screen on the Simulation Mode disc you'll see four "cities", and in each city there are different auto manufacturers listed. Most but not all of the manufacturers will have certain races especially for specific makes of their respective cars. Often there will be a race for both the "regular" ("normal") version of the car, as well as for a "racing" version of the same car. Not every car has a racing version available; some have racing versions available but there is no race FOR the "racing" version. Meaning, if you wish to use a prize car won elsewhere for the race, and that car comes in a "normal" version, then leave it in that "normal" version. Do not perform the "add racing stripes" in the tune shop, unless you've won the "normal" version of the Manufacturer's race and just really want those stripes. ALSO, there are times when you can buy a "Special" car which just happens to be eligible for the "racing" version race. You'll pay a high price for these Special cars, but they're usually worth keeping. /---------\ --< EAST CITY >-- \---------/ PRIZE AMOUNTS ------------- normal racing ------ ------ SUZUKI Alto Works Cup 3,000 5,000 [] Cappuccino Cup 3,000 5,000 [] HONDA NSX trophy 10,000 ----- [] Civic race 5,000 7,000 [] [] Beat the Beat 3,000 ----- [] Type R meeting 7,000 ----- [] S2000 challenge 7,000 10,000 [] [] - An NSX must be purchased through Acura (South City) - For the CIVIC race: > the Mugen Ferio, won in the Special Events 80's Sports Car Trial Mtn is usable, but cannot be modified with a racing version > the Spoon Civic, available from the Special Events Tuned NA races is usable, but again cannot be modified with a racing version - a Mugen Beat can be won in the K-Cup, Rome Short - Any "Type R" can may be used for the Type R Meeting, including both Honda and Acura - You can get an S2000 by getting all gold trophies on the B license.
