4.Guide Explanation
========================================================================
 First off this guide is about an EXPANSION so you need the original zoo
tycoon 2 to play this one. Whenever there is an item
 not in the original version I list I will put an * next to it to
indicate that it is only in then Endangered Species expansion pack and
it is not in any other pack (currently this is the only expansion pack I
have installed).

 This Game is all about making the best zoo you can and if you can try
to make it not so sore on the eyes. In the endangered
expansion pack you get quite a few extra items and animal so it is
definitely worth buying.

15.Biome Modification
=========================================================================
 In this mode you can either edit your zoo's terrain or modify an animal
exhibit's terrain.

 All of the areas have these options-
-Deep Water
-Shallow Water
-Dirt
-Grass and Dirt
-Grass
-Tall Grass
-Sparse Forest

 They are all basically the same thing except minor name changes i.e
Grassland biomes Sparse Forest=Desert Biomes Windswept Dunes.

=========================================================================
16.Habitat Editor
=========================================================================
 This mode is pretty simple. All you have to do is select a certain type
of terrain modifyer and then select the brush size then put it over the
land where you want it simply click the mouse and hold it until the
terrain is as high or as low as you want.

 Here i will list all you can select using the method above and it's
effects.

Create Hill-Creates a hill.
Create Valley-Pushes terrain down to make a big hole.
Create Cliff-Creats a straight up cliff.
Create Ditch-Creates a straight down ditch.

 Now for these methods click on the right height terrain you want. Off
to the side lets say and while still holding down the left mouse button
drag it on the area you want like that.

Flatten terrain-Makes terrain you dragged on second the same height as
the terrain you first clicked on.

Smooth terrain-Makes hill and cliff tops smooth/flat.

=========================================================================
25.Walkthrough
=========================================================================
 There are 3 kinds of walkthroughs that I can make so i'll make them all.
I will start off with Freeform Mode. Then i will do Campaign Mode. Then I
will finish this section with my personal favorite Challenge Mode. I
don't know how long these will take you to complete but it will take
a little chunk of time for you to complete. I will keep adding to
Freeform Mode but I will only go as far as I can in Challenge and
Campaign mode because you can only go so far in those without getting to
bored.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freeform Mode Walkthrough
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
 First I would like to state I am doing this with 50,000 dollars as a
start off in this Walkthrough and all others. My strategy will work
for any amount of money as it will leave time laps for those whose choose
to have more or less than 50 grand. I start will 50 grand because i feel
it's the best amount and I personally think going over that is just
cheating yourself out of the fun of Zoo Tycoon 2:ES as it will only take
you only about 4 hours max to really beat it and that's is no fun. Side
note- In Freeform Mode you have unlimited cash. Also never pause the game
it's not important but you know no sense in building the zoo in the first
month then just let it run that's just pointless.

 This scenario will require you use the Grassland (L) map (available in
both versions of the game).

1.First things fist clear everthing that's in the map and flatten the
terrain so that it's is the same as the front all map round. We will add
more texture and detail later right now it's just to tedious to tend to.
No Rivers right now either. That should be pretty easy. Don't delete the
paths though.

2.To the top right of the zoo entrance run some chain link/iron bar
fence about 20 right then down to the wall so it sresmbles this
(roughly).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
ZE=Zoo Entrance-Should have cement or asphalt under it.
GA=Guest Area-Should have cement or asphalt under it.
~~~~~~~~ and so on=a path-Pick any path
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
 3.Now put the animals (labled above) in their cages and fit them to
their enviornment then hire 2 zookeepers 1 matinece workers and 1
educator. If you feel you need more hire them but it's tedious once again
right now to have them all running about. Then put a staff gate between
the two exhibits (and don't forget to put one on each exhibit somewhere
where it is not blocked off).
4.Next is the Guest focus. Set up a couple of restrooms (whichever kind)
so that guests will have somewhere to do their business. Then I suggest
you put up a couple of soda and drink stands and perhaps a gift shop then
set a little grassy area behind the guest area to set up picnic tables
and benches. With paths leading to all. Also make sure there are plenty
of trash cans.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.Then by the picnic area set up an educator podium (w/ path) and by the
Guest Area set up Staff Center and a donation box (for credibility) and
a couple of ATM's. Then Open your zoo there is enough stuff now where
people will at least pay $10 to get in so ste it to that. If they don't
start coming put it down to free keep adding and when a bunch of people
start coming put it back on ten. You can edit these options by simply
clicking on the zoo front gate (While you're there give your zoo a cool
name).
Now let's add some more animals.Repeat the steps from step 2.
26.FAQ
=========================================================================
A FAQ is an acronym for Frequently Asked Questions. So in this FAQ I will
put in some very common questions that people might ask and would like to
be answered. If you have any questions you wish I would ansewr please
contact me at the email address located in the Contact Me section.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
FAQ Questions
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Why can't I brush my animal?
Well chances are you're animal does not need brushing.
2.Why can't my Zoo Keeper get into an exibit?
For a zoo Keeper to get into an exibit there needs to be an staff
entrance gate on the exhibit gate. If you have one but they still can't
get in make sure the entrance isn't blocked off by water, a tree, ,or a
rock etc, etc.
3.Why does this annoying message keep poping up i.e Why can't the Zoo
Keeper get to the animal poop?
This is the most frustrating thing in the game because it won't stop
until you resolve the problem. To stop this message find the poop (click
on the message and it will take you there revove the item it's next to (
probably what is causing the problem) or clean it up yourself ( you lazy
bum you).
These are the only real flaws or problems with the game if you find any
more please tell me and I will investigate if I find the same problem I
will gladly put them in the FAQ and give you full credit (please send
your Gamefaqs I.D or intials or I wll put it sent in by anonomyous and
only you will know that you sent it in.
