Copywrite ExtremePhobia (Brandon Fusco) 2010 | ----------------------------------------------- Introduction ============ Before I actually Introduce the guide itself, I'd like to ask you to give me your feedback. Unfortunately, even after over 100,000 hits on my guides I can still count the amount of feedback I've gotten on two hands. I'm still pretty new at this and I want my guides to be helpful so I would really appreciate any feedback, good or bad, about my guide. With that out of the way, welcome to my guide for the Sims 3: World Adventure. If you are having any trouble with the game, I hope that this guide helps. NOTE ON FINDING THINGS: Aside from the Table of Contents below, you should be able to use the search function to find most specific things. For instance, if you needed help with the Tomb of Discovery then, hopefully, you should be able to hit ctrl+F and type in "Tomb of Discovery" minus the quotes to find it. I tried to copy as much in game text down as exactly as I could so you can search for strings of text in the guide to find what you're looking for. Otherwise you'd never find anything in here. Version History...................xxHistxx Before you Travel [xxTravelxx] ================================== Here's what you need to know about travelling. It costs money to travel and you can only stay for a few days. Once you come back from your vacation it will take some time to recover before you can travel again. At first you'll only be able to travel for three days at a time. Eventually you'll be able to stay for as long as 15 days. To do this, you need to collect Visa Points. To do this, you need to go on adventures. When you are dropped in a different country, you'll find yourself at a camp and there will be an adventure board right next to you. You can use this to find and start Adventures. Sometimes you'll get one and run a quick errand for someone with the simple reward of a few Visa Points, some cash, and maybe some Ancient Coins (more on that later). Other times you'll get the first adventure in chain. Either way, keep doing these and you'll get Visa Points. There are three ranks of Visa to gain (you start at zero). Get to three and you can buy a vacation home and stay longer. You will even be able to buy a special certificate with Ancient Coins that allows you to stay even longer (but only up to 15 days). Ancient Coins are a special form of currency accepted by only three vendors in the game. You can trade Ancient coins for certain special items like a Skeleton key or Mummy snacks. The two main ways of collecting Ancient Coins is by going on Adventures and finding them in tombs. Sometimes you won't be able to buy items with your coins right away, even if you have enough coins. Sometimes, for the best items, you have to get your Visa rank up with Visa Points first. Remember that you don't age when travelling so you can go to your vacation home and work on improving skills, build a large garden, or make money using skills like your writing. Before you Raid Tombs [xxTombsxx] ===================================== Before you start wandering into tombs, the best way to explore them is to do so while doing an adventure. Usually you'll find an adventure that will eventually lead you to a tomb. The people who gave you the adventure will likely assist you by giving you keystones to open doors and giving you an extra reward for finishing a tomb. Almost every tomb in China and France and most of the tombs in Egypt are all connected to an Adventure chain. So try and sit tight. Now, before you go into a tomb, you need to be well prepared. You need to buy supplies. There will be a vendor in town who sells all sorts of useful camping equipment. You should never leave to go tomb raiding without a good supply of dried foods, a few Shower in a Cans, and a tent. Without these things, you'll have to leave a tomb to eat, sleep, and not gross yourself out. Inside of tombs there are a few things that you will see often and should be familiar with. Perhaps the most import are the special tiles. There are two special tiles. One will have feet on it which means you need to stand on it to activate it and there are tiles with gears on them which mean that you can stand on them but you should probably use a statue instead because the tile needs to be held down. Always be on the look out for these because they will usually reveal important things like more tiles, stairs, and doors. There are occassionally holes in the walls and floors. If you see just a single hole then you can stick your hand in it and perhaps you'll hit a switch or find an important item. Keep an eye out because these can be hard to spot sometimes. Sometimes you'll see multiple holes in a group on the wall or floor. This means that it's a trap. Traps can either be disarmed by tinkering with them, crossed with bravery, or deactivated by using a switch or statue. Sometimes you won't see the traps and they'll just pop up as you walk over them. Sometimes you won't see the trap but you'll see an oddly colored tile that you can inspect. There will be certain parts of walls that are fake and can be pushed open. Sometimes these sections will be oddly colored and sometimes you won't be able to see them unless you put your cursor over them and it changes. Sometimes you open these by "inspecting" the wall and pushing it open and sometimes you open them with switches and tiles. Most statues can't be moved but one particular style of statue can be. You'll find out really early what kind of statue can be moved. It doesn't mean that every statue of that type can be moved but most can be. These statues are usually used for activating tiles but if you push them over traps, they can also disarm the traps as well. If you move your cursor around the edges of the statue, you can change the angle that you approach the statue from and thus change how you move it. Keep an eye out for treasure. You'll see it all over the place, including both in chests and on the floor. Check every where. In particular, keep your eyes peeled for Relics. These things are usually worth a decent amount of money and sometimes they are worth part of a set which is worth even more money. In some cases you'll even get parts to a whole and be able to build something like a sarcophagus. There are different types of Keystones which usually are used to open doors but on occassion open chests or disarm traps. Keep your eye open for these. The last thing to watch out for are Mummies. These guys are really tough and even with maxed out Martial Arts you might not defeat them. This guys will appear if you look in their coffins or are stealing treasure nearby. They will wander around until they attack you and then they will either die in the fight or beat you and then shamble off back to their coffin. New Skills [xxSkillxx] ========================= Martial Arts ------------ If you want to study Martial Arts then the place to be is China. China is the home of the Phoenix Martial Arts academy. Not only is Martial Arts easy to learn but you can also be rewarded for it too. In china you can partake in an adventure chain that will reward you with Visa Points and cash while you train. If you don't want to learn from the adventure chain then head over to the Academy in China and start practicing on the dummy. After you get to level 3 you can start practicing on the block breaker. Finally, once you've hit level 5 you can start training simply by meditating. Not only do you learn martial arts skill from this but you also gain some other neat benefits too. Really the most important things you gain from meditating are the ability to Zeneport after a few hours of meditation and a boost in efficiency. Zeneport will allow you to go to any point in the neighborhood that you can see instantly. You will also see a moodlet develop while meditating. Basically you become calm and can do things faster and better. What this means is that if you meditate and then study at the library, you'll learn even faster. Unfortunately if you Zeneport, you also lose the productive moodlet. However if you meditate for 150+ hours you'll become a Master of Meditation and be able to use the "Tranquil Transference." This will teleport you like Zeneport but you will only lose 30 minutes of Meditative Focus. You can do this as long as you have 30 minutes of Focus left meaning that you can do it multiple times and you don't have to be meditating to do it. But... Remember the block breaker? This can be used to make you money. Once you've gotten your skill up and are capable of easily breaking a few Thin Stone Blocks at a time you can move up to the Space Rock. Space rocks will drop gems and you'll get better at finding gems and break the rocks faster with some practice. All gems may be sold as is or cut for (usually) more value. You can get gems ranging from under $30 all the way up to about $1500. But the gems you want aren't just normal gems. You want the Tiberium crystals. If you manage to find tiberium, don't leave it in your inventory for too long or you will start to get sick. If you put it out, the gem will likely grow and when it reaches the form of a Large Spire Cut, it will be worth roughly $40,000. It takes roughly 30 minutes to break a space rock. It's not the best method of income but it can really provide a boost. Also, remember that just because you've reached level 10 in Martial arts, that doesn't mean that you're a Master yet. You can still be defeated quite easily. Like the chess system, you have a hidden skill value for sub-categories of a skill. You improve in sparring the more you spar and you improve in board breaking the more boards you break. It is worth it to become a master at sparring because this will help you defend yourself against Mummies who are very skilled and may curse you if you lose. Nectaration ----------- Nectaration is how you make Nectar and Nectar has two nice qualities. The first is that when you drink Nectar you can receive quite a few moodlets, sometimes bad if the drink is a bad mix but usually good especially with the right mix of fruit. The second benefit is the amount of money you can make doing this. But first you need to buy a Nectar Maker which runs for $1,500 and can only be found in France. You can make over $2000 in a very short period of time provided you have the right fruit (THAT is the tough part). Better still, if you store the Nectar in a basement on a good rack, your Nectar will increase by 10% of it's base every day. For instance, if you start with a $500 bottle then every ten days it will gain another $500 in value. A full rack of such bottles would start at $7500 and gain $7500 every 10 days. Clearly it's an investment. Where your Nectar Makers are located doesn't change the quality of your Nectar but where you store it does. Whether it's stored inside or outside doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what floor of the basement you store it on, as long as it's in a basement. The only actually differences in storage come from which type of rack you store it on and whether you store it below ground level or not. The good rack and below ground level will net you 10% value increase per day. Any other combination won't be as good. You can also store the really old bottles you may have gotten in France (the ones that are thousands of years old) and they will age and gain value in the same way but it will be at a rate based on some other number, not the value you got it at. For instance, I had a bottle worth $9,626 and it only increased in value to 9,823 the next day. A far cry from the 10,588 that would have been a 10% increase. Also, as for best mixing combinations, you can try a variety of things. You don't have to use just grapes, you can use any fruit. If you use a sufficient amount of special fruits like Life Fruit or Flame fruit then you will receive the benefits of the fruits like gaining a longer life. There are two mixes that you should try though. 9 Life Fruit, 1 Pomegrenate - this has gotten me a bottle of roughly $605 6 Life Fruit, 3 Flame Fruit, and some other fruit (maybe expenive grapes) - This second combo will give you well over 100 points from positive moodlets. You should be mindful of the challenges associated with this skill because they greatly increase the value of Nectar Making and one of them will tell you how good a fruit combination will be before you waste the time and fruit to make it. Photography ----------- To start taking pictures, you need to buy a camera. You can buy cheap, disposable cameras but they're cheap, disposable, and don't have any nifty features. For the two better types of cameras you'll have to travel to Egypt. Once you have a camera, head over to the book shop in Egypt and buy the book to learn photography. Start reading. This will get you up to level three fast but after that you just have to practice. Walk around and take pictures of everything. Take pictures of sims, furniture, landmarks - whatever you can think of. After a couple of pictures of the same thing or sim, you won't gain any experience for it. Try again another time and you may gain more experience. There are really only two main aspects of Photography, collections and money. The better you get at photography and the more challenges you finish, the more money you will make on pictures. You'll be able to add different filters and mix things up to get the max value. It's not hard and it's fast for the most part. It's a decent source of income. As for the collections, pictures are broken up into sets. If you finish ten of these then you will finish a challenge as well. Otherwise, finishing these sets is just for fun. There are sets for all sorts of things. When you take your first picture of a collection, it will be added to your journal and you can see what else is in that collection. Have fun trying to find all the parts to a collection. Mummies [xxMummiesxx] ========================= So you want to become a Mummy, huh? It's not so hard, just collect fragments of the Sarcophagus of the kings. Put one together and you'll get one of two types. You'll either get the Blessed or the Cursed Sarcophagus. If you sleep in the cursed Sarcophagus frequently in a short period of time, you will become a Mummy. If you want to change back, just sleep in a Blessed Sarcophagus. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing which one you'll get before you make one. You can save before you build one however and then if you don't get what you want, quit, reload and try again. There is also something called the Mummy's Curse. This is not the same thing! You get cursed by losing in a fight to a Mummy. It won't always happen but if it does, you'll die in two weeks. Whenever you select the sim, your screen will darken. To cure this, make your way through the Sphinx tomb. Types of Adventures [xxTypesxx] ================================= There are a few common types of Adventures. Below is not a comprehensive list of every possible adventure you can go on because a lot of them are random and a lot of them are very similar. The most common types of Adventures are Collection, Convincing and Reporting adventures. Collection adventures are when you are instructed to collect something like a mineral or gem from the landscape or shop and return it to a person. Usually, if you zoom out to the Neighborhood view, you will see little icons for the item that you need floating around the landscape, directing you on where to find what you need. These will come up a lot. The items and the number of them that you need may change but they are all basically the same. Convincing Adventure involve talking to local sims. Usually you have to convince so many sims or a specific sim of something. To convince a sim you have to talk to them and get them to like you. Usually about a dozen positive interactions will do. Sometimes it takes a lot more, especially if you only need to convince one sim. Once you've gotten the sim to like you, then you choose the orange option from the wheel to convince them. Reporting Adventures are really simple adventures. Above your moodlets box, a little button will pop up saying Repot in or Deliver Item. Just click that and you will be taken to the person. This will usually start an Adventure chain or and a long adventure. #### ## ## ###### ## ## #### ## ## ## ## ## ### ## ## ## ## ###### ## ## # ## ## ## ## ###### ## ## # ## ###### ## ## ## ## ## ## ### ## ## #### ## ## ###### ## ## ## ## [xxCHINAxx] After you get the quick tour over the landscape, your sim will be dropped in front of base camp. If you go up the stairs, you'll find your living quarters equiped with all sorts of nice stuff that, if you don't have much money, you probably don't even have at home. More importantly, at the base of the stairs is the adventure board. If you use it then you can "Check for Adventures!" This makes up the bulk of the game and since these adventures don't seem to need to be done in any order, I'm going to list them, what you need to do to get through them, and how to navigate the tombs (if any). =========================================================== ====================== Halls of the Lost Army Chain ======================= =========================================================== *** Seeking Adventure? *** Description ----------- I am searching for an intrepid adventurer who can retrieve an ancient Relic for me. I've searched all over town and no one has the guts. Please contact me, Chen Hong, if you are interested. I Recommend you purchase some adventurer supplies at the market beforehand, including a tent, some dried food, and perhaps a shower-in-a-can if hygiene is a concern. The general store will have everything you need and more! ----------- This is even easier than it normally is. You can Report to Hong the same way you would in your own neighborhood, by zooming out and finding his picture on the map. Then you click on the picture and pick "Report In" OR you could just click the "Report In" button just above your moodlets. *** Treasure Hunter *** Description ----------- Thank goodness someone finally responded! Come on, there's work to do. I've heard rumors that a nearby tomb holds a valuable treasure. Retrieve it for me, and you will be handsomely rewarded. You'll need this key to get into the tomb. What are you waiting for? Get to it! ----------- This one is a little tougher. You do actually have to zoom out and use the icon to navigate to the tomb. If you have trouble finding it, it's the giant building in town. ==========================TOMB - Halls of the Lost Army======================== I am going to give directions based on objects in the game rather than your camera. For instance I'll try to say things like "to your Sim's left just after they walk through the door." This is really the only way to give directions since your camera can face any direction at any time. Once your Sim has navigated to the tomb and gone through the double doors, you'll find yourself in a big room (still above ground) and just to the right from the door you walked in will be a gray tile with foot prints on it. Direct your Sim to stand on the tile and it will present you with a hidden staircase. Go down the stairs. At the bottom of the staircase, just to the left of the stairs will be a place for your key on the wall and a locked door just beside it. Insert your key to open the door. On the otherside of the door you'll find yourself on a sort of path formed by colored tiles. Just to the left after coming through the door (on the path), you will see another gray stone tile but this time with a gear on it. What this symbol means is that while stepping on it may unlock something, it requires something to stay on it for it's effect to continue. Kind of like the statue off to the side of the room. Objects like this statue that can be moved, will present you with four choices. They are Push, Pull, Push Far, and Pull Far. The Push and Pull options will push or pull the object in a given direction. To choose the direction, let your cursor rest on one of the four sides of the object. You'll see a double headed yellow arrow appear pointing in the direction that it will move. Push far and Pull Far will move the object until it hits a special tile or you run into the wall, whichever comes first. So to make this statue work for you, put your curson on the side of the statue that's closest to the special tile. You'll see the arrow appear and it should point roughly towards the special tile. Now click on the statue and then click "Pull Far." Your sim will move to the statue and stand exactly where the arrow was and then pull the statue until it hits the special tile. Go through the door. You'll see a statue resting in the middle of the path with a special tile to it's left (from the door) and a blank brown tile to the right. Move the statue to the left so it rests on the gear tile. This will cause the blank brown tile to become a standing tile. Go stand on it to unlock the door. The next room looks a lot scarier than it is. You'll see a bunch of statues just to the left. Push the middle statue twice. The first push will move it onto the lightning trap and deactivate it. The second push will let you out from behing the statue. At the end of the room, you'll find a locked door and a special tile buried under a pile of rubble. This is also not so hard. Just click on the rubble and choose "clear." Your Sim will take out a tool and start digging. Once that's cleared away you'll find a standing tile under it. Stand on it to reveal a secret door and a hole in the wall. If you use the hole in the wall, it will remove the lock from the door you were trying to open earlier. But we want loot so don't go through the door just yet. Instead go through the secret door you just revealed. There are a lot of statues in here. You'll enter the room and be staring at a group of four statues blocking off a chest against the wall. To the right will be three more statues blocking your path plus one more just sitting alone. If you turn to face the statues to your right, you want to "Push Far" the left statue of the three. You now have access to all three chests by moving just one. Now go back out and through the real door that you unlocked by using the hidey hole in the wall. You'll come into a room with a locked door, another key hole, and a well on your right. Click the well and then "explore." You'll be given an option of whether you want to explore a tunnel or not. Explore it and you'll come out of another well. You'll be in an enclosed room with a chest. Loot the chest for the key, then explore the well in this room to return to the other well. When you come out on the other side, use the key to leave the room. And You've completed this Tomb! Make sure you loot the three chests, especially the glowing one, and then use the standing tile to open the door and head back out of the tomb. ===================================END TOMB==================================== Once again, this is an easy one. Just click the "Deliver Relic" button above your moodlets. Enjoy your rewards! =========================================================== ======================= Ancient Monks Retreat Chain ======================= =========================================================== *** Potent signs of Potential *** Description ----------- I would like to invest in the Martial Arts training of a talented individual. One of pure heart, patient fists, and discipline. Applicants should speak to Bao Louie. Do not waste my time! ----------- Report In *** The Journey Begins *** Description ----------- Yes, you might do. You seem strong, focused, but there is anger in your eyes. Or perhaps confusion? Nevertheless, your path with me begins now. Before you can know the way of the Resolute Fist, you must first learn Martial Arts. Go! Visit the Shang Simla Academy and practice on the equipment there. Return to me once you have learned the skill. ----------- Just outside of the Imperial City you'll see the Phoenix Martial Arts Academy and that's just where you're headed. So head. In the back yard of the Academy you will find all sorts of things. What you want is the the wooden poles with arms. Practice on that. After you gain your first skill point. Report in. *** Learning from the Master's Palm *** Description ----------- Much like a child who has taken its first steps, you have entered a new phase in life. But also like the child you have so far to go. An acquaintance of mine, Xi Yuan, is a well-respected master of Martial Arts. There is much you can learn from Xi Yuan. Spar with Xi Yuan 2 times, then return to me to tell me of what you learned. ----------- Find her on the map and travel to her house. You may not be able to use her icon so just "Go To" her house. When you get there, give her a friendly introduction and then you should be allowed to spar with her. Do so twice. *** The Sparring Report *** Description ----------- I do not think that hurt too much. You learn quickly for someone so new to the way of the Resolute Fist. I understand now what Bao Louie sees in you. I have no more to teach you for now. Return to Bao Louie. ----------- Dunno why this had to be a seperate opportunity but do as it says. *** Meditation is the Key *** Description ----------- I hope this past lesson was not too painful. No... you seem to have escaped any bruising from the instruction. My dear pupil, the time has come for you to learn the finer points of meditation. Travel to the Scholar's Garden and meditate for 2 hours. I hope you find what you are seeking. ----------- This is actually a little misleading. Yes you need to meditate but just because that's what you are supposed to do, doesn't mean you can. More tha likely, you won't be able to meditate just yet. So head over to the Garden (or the Academy) and practice on the board breaking stones or the sparring dummy until you reach level 5 of Martial Arts. Now you can meditate. Do so for two Sim hours. If you meditate for three hours you can then just Zeneport to Bao Louie if you like. *** The Writings of Qin Shan Hu *** Description ----------- You have had a most startling and unexpected vision. I knew you would see something. I did not know that you would see... this. It is the keystone to the Ancient Monk Retreat. Use this key to enter the tomb and retrieve an ancient Relic, one that contains the ancient writings of Qin Shan Hu. Bring this to me and I will reward you with Ancient Coins. ----------- The Monks Retreat is out of town past the Academy. Head there. The way in is at the very bottom of the long stairs outside. It's standing tile. Take the stairs to your right. ========================TOMB - The Ancient Monks Retreat======================= In the first room, look to the left to see two piles of rubble. One of them will have a hidey hole for you to inspect. Do so to find a chest. Then use the key stone to enter the tomb proper. This room will have all sorts of training equipment and a couple of statues. The statue across the room to the left has a hidey hole behind it so pull that statue out a little. Use the hidey hole and then move the two statues onto the tiles that appear. If you'd like you can detour through the door that was already unlocked before you moved the statues. There are five bedrooms with treasures. The middle room and the room furthest right have hidey holes and one of them opens a secret room to the far left in the hallway with a chest in it. Detour or no, go through the door you just unlocked. Then go down the stairs and through the door at the end of the L shaped hallway. There's a well in this room which will be very helpful. Jump into the well and get soaked. Then go through the single door in the middle. Anywhere on the dark tile that you walk you will find a fire trap on the floor. You can, however click on the floor and inspect it to reveal the trap and then either try to disarm the trap or try to cross it (it's an option, if you just try to walk you'll get burned). If you set off a trap remember to go resoak yourself. After you've gotten beyond the traps whether through perserverance or cleverness, Push, don't pull, the statue onto the gear tile in the middle to open the door at the back of the room. Go through the door and collect PART of your reward. The rest isn't necessary for the opportunity. You can just Deliver the Writings if you want but the game won't consider the tomb finished. If not you can go back to the well room, resoak, and then head through the left door. Just pick Attempt to Cross on all three traps. Resoak and go right. In this hallway, use the hidey hole on the left to shut off the flames directly in front of you. You should now be able to take the left route. Use the hole at the end of the left path, then return to the split and reuse the one on the left and then use the one on the right. Now go down the long right path and you'll see two more holes in the wall. Use both and then turn around and take the short path to the next hole. Use that hole, then return then reuse the hole closest to the corner. You should now have a clear path to the door. NOW you're done! ===================================END TOMB==================================== Just click the button to return the writings to Bao Louie. Claim your Reward. =========================================================== ========================= Smashing Boulders Chain ========================= =========================================================== *** Confounded Boulder! *** Description ----------- I am a common adventurer in need of assistance! If you have a desire to learn the ancient art of smashing giant goulders, please contact Jiang Lu as soon as you are able. ----------- Report in: *** Sign my Petition? *** Description ----------- You are the only Sim to respond to my ad, so I suppose we are stuck together. A friend of mine knows of a magical object that can even the mightiest of boulders. However, this friend won't share this information unless the locals are ok with it. Convince 3 locals to let us have the item, then return to me. ----------- This isn't so bad. You just need to find three locals, befriend them, then choose the "Convince" option. If you've already made friends with some locals then you can just reuse those locals. Otherwise find, some locals, I usually use the merchants because they are always in the same place, and talk with them to become friendly. Around 15 or so positive interactions (and no negative interactions) should be enough for each person. After that, choose Convince. Once you have convinced three people, the well known "Report In" button will appear. *** A Friendly Interview *** Description ----------- I knew the local populace would come around to the idea of boulder smashing. However, it seems Bao Louie won't take my word as the truth. Bao Louie wants to speak to you personally about this whole boulder smashing business. Go answer Bao Louie's silly questions so that we can get to boulder smashing. ----------- Just hit the button to be directed to Bao Louie. *** Village Valuables *** Description ----------- Finally, an even headed person with whom to do business. Jiang Lu cannot go a single sentence without ranting about smashing boulders. I will share this information with you, but first you must prove you will benefit the greater good. Shang Simla's coffers have run dry and the city needs funding to expand the local works. Gather 3 pieces of valuable Lapis Lazuli and deliver it to me. I will in turn give it to the city. You will be paid for your assistance, I assure you. ----------- You know how to do this. *** Pangu's Axe *** Description ----------- You have proven to me that you would not abuse Pangu's Axe. You are ready to learn about it. It is a magical tool, forged by the sorcerers of Dong Huo to destroy the barricades of his enemies. Fortunately, those times are long passed, ad you are not Dong Huo. I now bestow you with the key to the Temple of Heaven! Within its halls you will find Pangu's Axe. This will be very dangerous. ----------- Zoom out and find the Temple of Heaven icon. There's a staircase in one of the two small buildings outside the main temple. Go down the stairs. =============================TOMB - Temple of Heaven=========================== Once you've gone down the stairs, immediately to your left will be rubble. Clear the rubble and go through the door and then down the next set of stairs. Use the keystone and through the door it unlocks. Ohhh and then go down THOSE stairs. You'll find yourself on a red wood path. Follow the path around and you'll go through a meditation/prayer room. Keep following the path out and around until you come to very large room with rails that guard you from falling into gaps in the floor. Alright, now it gets tricky. Go down the stairs at the end of the red wood path and explore the well there. When you come out on the other side you will see two more wells. Beware the fan shaped designs on the floor, they are traps. Beyond one of the wells is a set of stairs. Go up those and then down the next set of stairs. You'll be in a tight hall with a few traps that you have to "attempt to cross" or disarm. Go past the traps and the first set of stairs around to the second set of stairs. Go up and then back down the next set of stairs. In this hall you'll see a small room with a trap on the floor and a hole in the wall. Get past the trap, then inspect the hole to open a hidden door with a chest. Open the chest then head up the stairs. Click on the Axe on the wall and take it! Now go back down the stairs and back up the stairs and back down the stairs and back up the stairs that you passed in the long hall with the traps. You should end up in an area with nowhere to go except now you have the axe so smash the boulders and loot the chests here. Now go down the stairs and continue back and up the stairs then back down the stairs into the well room. You can explore the two wells in here if you didn't already but you won't find anything of useful, you'll just add them to your number of Dive Wells explored which will help you get the Well Spelunker challenge. Go back through the well you came through and up the stairs to the room with the red wood path. This time there will be another set of stairs next to the original ones that you can go down. Go down this second set of stairs, watch for traps and grab the chest then explore the well in this room. Once you make it to the other side, follow the hall, smashing rocks as needed and you'll eventually return to the entrance of the Tomb. Now just Deliver the Axe. =====================================END TOMB================================== Just click the button to deliver the axe. *** Boulder Smash *** Description ----------- I thought this would be incredible but... I wasn't quite prepared for the reality of the axe. I do not feel comfortable holding it. You should carry it. It took me some time but I narrowed down my most despised boulder. Smash the boulder blocking the entrance to the hot springs. I desire a Relic within the tomb blocked by the boulder. Destroy the boulder, find the Relic, and return it to me. ----------- Go to the Hot Springs (NOT the Dragon Springs). At the top of the hill where the rest house is, just outside you'll see the boulder and a well. Smash the boulder and explore the well.O ============================TOMB - the Hot Springs============================= Stand on the standing tile just through the first door. The doors will open. Don't go forward yet. Wait for the steam traps to put out the flame trap on the floor. Then just walk to the other Check the chest then explore the well. Once on the other side, there will be three doors. Go through the door on the left and pull the statue onto the gear tile. Then go back, through the right door and do the same. Make sure you inspect the hole in the floor in this room to open a hidden room. Go back to the well and stand on the standing tile. You can now cross the middle room. Hop in and explore the well at the end. On the other side of the well you'll see a forked hallway that looks impossible to cross. Walk forward and you'll see a long, narrow room in the middle wall of the hallway. There's a statue in here, push it onto the second gear tile. Now leave the statue there and go into the that you just cleared the path for. Stand on the standing tile here. Now go back to the statue and the middle and PULL the statue back to the first gear tile. Now you've opened a room on the other side of the hallway. Go into it and stand on the tile there. Now return to the statue and push it onto the gear tile at the very end and then enter the room on the first side that you just opened. Clear the rubble and check the chest. Then proceed to the well at the end of the hall. In the next area, clear the rubble in the hall and check behind it to find the Relic in one of the chests. Check the chest on the other side of the hall and then continue to the end of the hall and explore the well there. This will get you out of the dungeon. Now just Deliver the Relic. ====================================END TOMB=================================== Just click the button to deliver the Relic. =========================================================== ======================== Dong Huo's Treasure Chain ======================== =========================================================== *** A Curious Note *** Description ----------- I have discovered the most interesting note in my home that contains information about ancient treasures and relics. I seek help in uncovering this treasure. Interested parties should seek Abi Yat Sen. ----------- Report In *** The Concern of Illegible Handwriting *** Description ----------- It is most fortunate that there are fellow treasure seekers in Shang Simla. Let me introduce myself - I am Abi Yat Sen. Shall we find the treasure? Centuries ago, the evil warlord Dong Huo stole a priceless heirloom from my ancestors. I believe this note says where the relic is, but I cannot fully decipher it. Perhaps you could convince Bao Louie, a merchant, to do so? ----------- This is a convincing mission. You need to go talk to Bao Louie and become a friend of his before he will decipher the note. Just keep talking and doing friendly interactions that he seems to like and every so often, ask him to decode the note. Eventually he will give in. *** Deep Within the Forbidden City *** Description ----------- Hmmm, yes, I can see why you failed to decipher this note. It is written in the ancient code of Dong Huo's army, known only by his lieutenants. And, of course, myself. I have deciphered the note explaining the location of Dong Huo's treausre! You will need to first find the key, which is at a location I'll detail for you on your map. That key should unlock the chambers holding the treasure. Good luck finding the key! ----------- Go to the city. Go around behind the shops in the market and you'll find a hole in the ground. Search it to open a staircase. =============================TOMB - Under the Shops============================ Once down the stairs, check the coffin to open a secret door. Before you go through that door, inspect the wall opposite the door to find a hidden door with a chest behind it. Now Go through the door and explore the well in there to open another secret door in the room. Go into the next room and down the stairs. You should see three big boulders leaning against each other. Just before the giant boulders on your left (as you approach them) you'll see a hole in the wall. This will hold goodies. After you pass the boulders and walk around to the left (not through the door) you'll see a hole in the ground which opens a secret room. You can smash the boulders and explore holes under them for some goodies. Go through the doorway right next to the three boulders (you may have just smashed) and follow the left wall. Go through the next door and still stick to the left wall (so you do a U-turn) and grab the vase there. Now go back to the doorway and then continue the way you were going but stick to the right wall this time (you'll go past some hay bales). Keep following this wall and you'll come to a room with a well. You can go back and explore the other rooms for various items and coins. Come back when you're done and search the well. When you come out of the well, you'll be presented with a bunch of statues. These statues will be cleared in two moves. Pull far the front most statue onto the gear tile then pull far the statue just behind it in the only direction it can move (towards the well.) Walk through the door and through the little room. Move through this bigger room to the false wall door in the back. Inside is a keystone. Take it then go back out the door and to the doorway right in front of you. Clear the pile and then cross the room out into the hall. You've already been in this hallway but you're further up now. This hallway could bring you back to the area which held the three boulders but you want to go in the other direction past the broken wagon. Follow the hall to the end (watch out for the trap at the narrow section) and put the keystone into the slot by the door. ====================================END TOMB=================================== Find Bao Louie and give him the keystone. *** Haggling the Final Details *** Description ----------- Progress! The treasure cannot be too far behind if this cluse is any indication. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the trove is in Shang Simla! However, it is on property owned by a local merchant. If you can convince Liu Pei to work with us we can finally find the treasure. ----------- Befriend then convince the sim (the food merchant). Report to Bao Louie. *** Stealing the Warlord's Gold *** Description ----------- Good work! Well, are you ready Sim? It is time for you to return the treasure stolen from my ancestors by the cursed Dong Huo. Take this key, enter the treasure trove, and return the Relic to me. You will be well compensated for all you have done for me and my family. ----------- Running up the middle of the city is a big path that leads to the Halls of the Lost Army. On either side of the path are trees and grass. On the side closest to the shops you'll see a couple of statues and a standing tile. Go down the stairs that appear. =======================TOMB - Dong Huo's Treasure Trove======================== at the bottom of the stairs you'll see a different set of tiles in front of the wall to your left. You can inspect the wall and reveal a door togo through and collect some goodies. Collect said goodies and then return to the previous room and use the double doors to proceed. Walk down the long hall ways until they open into an area with two curtains on the wall and the keystone slot in the middle. Use the keystone and go through the secret doors on either side. Take the stairs. In this room walk past the statues to the double doors. Go through the doors and in the next hallway you'll see traps on the floor. Disarm or cross them, then take a left and disarm or cross the trap on the wall. Take another left and go through the little gated area to find a red statue. Pull the red statue off of the wall which should destroy a trap. Then push the statue all the way down the hall to destroy another trap. Once you get to the end of the carpet, in the area with the horse statue, the wall next to the soldier statue can be inspected. Go through, collect loot and then stand on the tile. This will open a secret door on the other side of the room so go around to the front door of this room and go through the secret door to collect the keystone. Now go back into the hall and back to the four-way intersection. Go strait across and past the two door. Take a right at the T-intersection and go all the way down the hall. At the end, just to the right will be a nook with a standing tile. Stand on it, then go through the door it opens. walk into the room and just before the beds, next to the folding divider will be a stone table with another keystone. take it and leave the room out the other side through the front door. Go directly across the hall into the next room, collect the nectar bottles on the floor. The back room of this wall is fake, inspect it. In the next room, collect the nectar bottles on the floor, some from the back racks and then taste the nectar from one of the racks on the right. I recommend the Plum Cherimola Blan Grapes. Jump into and explore the well for another keystone. Head back out the front door to the main hallway again. Go back to the four way intersection and you will take the right in a second. There is a trap on the floor. Right next to it, preventing you from passing is another trap but this one is hidden. Deal with the trap you can see without stepping on the other trap, then use the hole just on the other side of the trap to disarm the hidden on. There's a vase here. There is a trap in front of the two statues on either side of the vase. Get past them (Disarm or cross) and grab the vase and hit the hole in the wall. Directly across from the hole in the wall is a door, go through it. Be careful of the trap just in front of the statue in this room. There are four display cases to loot. Loot all those, then grab the keystone on the table. Leave the way you came. Get to the four way intersection and take a right and then when you get to the end, take another right. Insert your keystones into the four slots. This will reveal four standing tiles so stand on those. Walk to the end of the hall and pull the two statues in front out. Pull them out about as far as the door but make sure that you don't trap yourself behind them. Then push the red statue back. Now enter the door on the side of the hall that you just opened. Explore the six side rooms thoroughly for a variety of loot, coins, money bags and whatever else you can find. Make sure you have the treasure for Bao Louie and then check behind the throne. Hit the switch inside the hole on the ground. Go through the hidden door, clear the rubble to the left and take the vase from the chest. Go up the stairs on the other side of the room and then you'll be back in the first room. Go up the stairs here to get out and now Deliver the Treasure. ====================================END TOMB=================================== Deliver the treasure to Bao Louie. *** You There! Stranger! *** Description ----------- Greetings. My name is Bao Louie. I require an outsider's assistance in a particular matter I am not quite ready to discuss with you. I promise you it will ultimately be worth your while. Please, explore the Dragon Cave fully. I do not know what you will find, just that you will find it. ----------- The Dragon Cave is pretty easy to find. It's the giant stone Dragon's Head on the hill side. When you get there, "Inspect" that back of it's throat to get in. then go down the stairs. ============================TOMB - The Dragon Cave============================= Time for your second tomb! Alright, this is the Main Room. Walk down the path to the door at the end. Go around the corner to your left and at the end will be an unassuming wall that you can inspect. Inspect it and take the loot from the room. Then leave this room back to the curved room. There will be a door on the inner wall of the curved room. Go through it. ==============================TOMB INTERMISSION================================ Now Report In! What a waste of time, huh? Anyway, do so, and then run the errand and find the platinum. Then Deliver it. Then do the same for the Lapis Lazuli. The last item is a Relic. You probably have one in your inventory already if you haven't sold them. If not then you can buy one from the shop keeper in town. Deliver the Relic. Now you will have to wait. (What a pain.) *** The Pilgrim's Walk *** Description ----------- I have the completed statue ready for you, Sim. Before it is active, you must first take what the Monks of the Order of the Resolute Fist refer to as the Pilgrim's Walk. You must carry the statue to several sites within Shang Simla. Go to the Scholar's Garden first. ----------- Visit the Scholar's Garden, Visit the Temple of Heaven, Visit the Dragon Cave and then Report in. For all of these you merely have to zoom to the neighborhood view and visit each one in order. Wait until it tells you to go to the next place. The Dragon Cave and the Dragon Maw are the same place. Then just report in as per usual. *** Knowledge of the Past *** Description ----------- Sim, I think I know who can help us gain entrance to the Dragon Cave! A local by the name of Adaeze Min claims to know the secret. Speak to Adaeze Min as soon as possible so that we can proceed. ----------- Just go speak to Adaeze Min. *** The, uh, Potion... of Remembrance? *** Description ----------- Ah yes, the Dragon Cave. I remember parts of the story. A great adventurer named James Vaughan fixed the Dragon Cave almost a century ago, but apparently failed to do so entirely. I... seem to have forgotten the rest. Bao Louie sells a Potion of Remembrance, but I cannot afford it. Deliver 2 pieces of platinum to Bao Louie in exchange for the potion. ---------- Zoom way out to find the Platinum that you need. Should be all over. Then take the platinum to Bao Louie and then take the potion to Min. *** Oh Sin Pah! *** Description ----------- Yuck! I hate the taste of this foul potion. If I could only remember things I would not need to drink it so often... Ah, my head! I remember now! James Vaughan had an assistant named Sin Pah who kept a journal of Vaughan's adventures. Sin Pah died mysteriously at a young age, but his descendant Maya Wang, still has the journal. You will need to convince Maya Want to let you have it. ----------- Piece of cake. Find the sim, befriend them and then convince them. *** The Diary of Sin Pah *** Description ----------- My dear Sim, it seems if you are to complete the prophecy you must journey to Champs Les Sims, France. According to the journal, I believe the Nectar Merchant at the Nectary there will know about Vaughan's keystone. Travel to Champs Les Sims and speak to the Nectar Merchant to discover the location of the Keystone! ----------- You don't have to do it now but to continue this opportunity you'll need to return home. Feel free to enjoy your vacation until time is up. Travel to France! Once you are there, you will notice an icon to travel to on your map. Unfortunately you can't just hit the "report in" button or anything because this is an opportunity from China and you aren't in China. Anyway, visit the nectary just past the museum and speak to the woman there. *** Speaking to the Groundskeeper *** Description ----------- What what what? You say you've come here on a mission from Shang Simla? Why, that's on the other side of the world! I remember this James Vaughan from the journal. I believe he got into a fight with Monsieur Landgraab and rescued some woman or something. Who knows? Speak to Albert Frouchier, who is a direct descendant of Landgraab's groundskeeper. ----------- Find Albert, perhaps in town. You'll have to zoom out to the map and look for the yellow-orange icon again. You'll have to find him, befriend him and then convince him to talk. *** Quid Pro Keystone *** Description ----------- Greetings monsieur! Yes, my grandfather spoke often of this James Vaughan. A bumbling fool that one was! I believe I can help you locate your missing keystone. After all, I would hope the people of Shang Simla would do the same for me! But, I will require certain favors. I very much love Opal. It is a beautiful gem, is it not? Bring me 1 pieces of Opal and I shall grant you access to the vault holding the keystone. ----------- This should work just as it did anywhere else. If you zoom out, you SHOULD see pieces of opal lying around. Find some and then click on him and then deliver the opal. Of course if you already own some, you could just give that to him too and save yourself some trouble. This will give you access to the vault under Chateau Landgraab. Go there! To get into the mansion (which is where you want to go), go around the back of the building and you'll see a path leading up to the back door. Just off to the right side by a lamp is a hole in the ground. Use the hole to flip a switch and turn off a trap before the back door. Now go through the back door. ============================TOMB - Chateau Landgraab=========================== Notice how only the room you are in lit up? You're technically a tomb. Take the left hand door. You'll come into a room with a lot of doors. Be careful of the scorched spots on the floor, these are traps. Inspect them and then cross or disarm them as needed. In this many roomed door, you want to go in the middle doors on the right side of the hall (as you walked in). These'll be double doors. Be careful because there is more than one set of double doors in the room. You'll come into a very empty room with a staircase leading up. Take these stairs up and then the next set of stairs up again to the third floor. Take the stairs up to the next floor for a chest to loot. Be careful because there are two traps in this small space. Loot the chest then stand on the tile to deactivate the traps if you haven't already. Go back down the stairs once. Use the keystone to open the door leading out. You'll come to a forked hallway. Take the right fork and you'll pass some statues and then a couple of pedestals with treasure on them. If you take the loot from the left stand, it will activate a trap. You can keep the loot and replace it with anything else from your inventory or replace what you took. The statue on the stand to your right you can take without activating any traps. NOTE: If you have reached level 5 of Martial arts then you can take both pieces of treasure, meditate and then Zeneport out of the trap. After you pass through the hallway and through the double doors, you'll find yourself in a bedroom. Take the vase of the table to the left of the bed and then head to the bathroom which is the only other door in this room. Head through the bathroom to the bedroom on the other side. In this room there are two nooks. One has a dresser and mirror. On one of the walls in the other nook is a not so hidden door. Go down the stairs on the other side of the hidden door. If you continue all the way down you'll find yourself in the basement. You'll be in a hall with two doors and a burn mark on the floor. The trick here is that the trap is actually on the wall, not the floor. Deal with the trap and then proceed through the door on the left side of the hall. Open the shiny chest to grab the keystone you are looking for! Ok, not quite done yet. Look on the table just next to the chest for another keystone. You can go through the single door in this room to find a bathroom. Use that if you need. You can also go through the big arches to find a grape vineyard. Feel free to harvest if you'd like. Otherwise head back to the hall with the trap and go through the door that was originally on the right side of the hall. You'll find yourself in a very small room with an obviously fake wall. Go through the fake wall. You'll find yourself in a Nectar Cellar. In the middle of the room is a wall that sticks way out. Inspect between the two candles. You'll find yourself in another small room with two chests. Open both then head up the stairs and you'll come out of the Landgraab mansion. Don't Worry, you'll return to finish the rest of the mansion. ===================================END TOMB==================================== Return to China *** Why... That's the Keystone *** Description ----------- Sim, this is your old friend Bao Louie. Welcome back to Shang Simla. Is it true you have found the keystone that the bumbling James Vaughan lost in faraway France? I must see this keystone that can fulfill the prophecy of the Dragon Cave. Bring it to me! ----------- Deliver the Keystone to Bao Louie *** Preparing for Battle *** Description ----------- I have grim news of what lies before you. Dong Huo, the cursed warlord of centuries past, is that which the Dragon Cave was built to contain. He was trapped previously, but now he wakes. He must be defeated by a master of the way of the Resolute Fist. You are that master. Train to the highest level of Martial Arts and break a Space Rock and you will be one step closer to fulfilling your destiny. ----------- Train your way to a level 10 Martial Arts skill. You can of course do this by breaking blocks. So find any place in China where you can break blocks (for instance the Academy). Go there and practice breaking blocks and work your way up to harder and harder blocks. You must reach level 10 AND THEN break a space rock or it won't work. Once you've broken the rock, report in. *** The Grand Master's Fist *** Description ----------- I am filled with woe Sim! Despite your successes, fate seeks to stop you at every turn. I have read more deeply into the prophecy texts. It is written very clearly that only the grand master of the Martial Arts tournament can defeat Dong Huo. He is protected by an evil spirit that only the grand master can break. Win the Tournament, then speak to me. ----------- To do this, grab your phone and pick "Call Sim" and then choose "Challenge Spar Tournament Contender." The game says that you are supposed to become the Grand Master but you actually only have to win one sparring match it seems. This may end up being patched. After you are done with sparring, report in. *** Crafting the Amulet of Protection *** Description ----------- Now you are the undisputed master of the tournament. I doubt there is a mortal alive who could defeat you incombat. Unfortunately, Dong Huo is no longer a mortal. He is not bound by the life force that binds me and you. I think it is best if I construct an Amulet of Righteous Protection for you. Bring me 3 pieces of Jade and I will build the amulet. ----------- Go out there and collect the Jade you need. Once you give him the Jade he'll ask for Platinum. Once you have that, give him the platinum. *** The Demise of Dong Huo *** Description ----------- Master Sim, the time has come for you to face and defeat Dong Huo in his eternal prison, the Dragon Cave. Take this Keystone, enter the Dragon Cave, find Dong Huo, and defeat him in combat. Do this, and you will forever preserve the safety of the people of Shang Simla. Go now, chosen one. ---------- Use the map to return to the Dragon Cave! Remember, you get in through the door at the back of the caves throat and then need to go down the stairs. ============================RETURN TO The Dragon Cave========================== Once you get down the stairs, go strait and through the door, turn the corner and back through the doors to the room where you had your "vision." Walk into the room a little and you should be able to see the shining keystone lock on the right side of the room. Go through the door that opens and down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, turn around and clear the rubble behind the stairs for a relic, then go through a doorway (no door) and you'll come to a room with four statues. Three of the statues will be together. Push the front right statue back one space and onto the other gear tile. Now move the lone statue at the front of the room on to the tile the other statue just vacated. You can pull far, then push it to the right once, then push far to get it onto the tile. Open the door you just unlocked. Then the next door. And the next door. And the next one. Finally you'll come to a room with a locked door and a statue on a tile. Pull the statue off of the tile and inspect the hole behind it. Now push the statue back onto the tile. Before you leave, just to your right is a false wall. Open it to find some coins, clear some rubble, and loot a coffin. Now proceed through the door you recently unlocked. You'll come to an "O" shaped room with a bunch of fire traps and some rubble. Clear both piles of rubble and then stand on the tile that you reveal. Now go into the center room and pull both statues far. Stand on both tiles and then inspect the two holes on the walls, one by each door to open the room in the center of this one. Once done with all of this, check to the left side of the locked door. On the floor just beyond the fire trap will be a crescent keystone. The keystone may be hard to find because of the pattern of the floor so look closely. ---- [xxJKSulxx] - I totally missed this keystone. I actually had to go back to the shop and buy a skeleton key to get past the door. All credit for finding this keystone goes to JKSullivan ---- Go through the door you just unlocked, to the left you'll see two statues. Pull the one on the left out so you can get behind it and into the door behind. In the next (crescent shaped) room you'll find a chest. Back up and past the statue you pulled out, past the door and down either of the single small staircases. You'll find two statues here, one of which you can pull onto a tile and the other which you can't reach unless you come down the big set of stairs. So pull the statue you can reach until it activates the tile and then go back up the stairs and down the big set. Pull the other statue out and onto the second tile Walk over the now deactivated traps and through the door. If you read the plaque now in front of you, you'll find that the next section is to be navigated by following the statues. Go around the wall and you'll see your your first statue at the fork. You'll notice that the statue stands looking down the right fork. Go up that way instead of along the left one to avoid traps. Do the same with the next fork. You'll see another statue that indicates you should take the left for (if you were looking down the halls). Then take the right fork indicatd by the next statue and then down the single hallway. Once you get out of the hallways, you'll come to a large room with more statues but not dividing walls. The best way to handle this section is to click in front of the first statue and walk to that spot. Then follow it's line of sight until it crosses in front of another statue. Click in front of that statue and walk to that spot. Continue doing this until you get to the last statue. It will gaze along a wall and into another hall where you are free from danger. This last leg though, make sure that you hug the wall as best you can. Exit this room through the door at the end of the hall. You thought you were done with the statues. Continue to follow the statues through this room. Eventually you'll come to a statue that points to a dead end hallway. If you walk to the dead end you can inspect the wall and go through it. You'll be in a little room and with another false wall strait ahead. Go through this one to return to the main hallway. Step left a little to be in front of the next statue and follow that one and the next to a point where three statues are arranged in a semi-circle and all point to the same spot. There are quite a few traps beyond those statues but it's actually pretty safe. If you look at the door at the back of the room, just before it is a trap that isn't currently activated. Walk up to it and cross it to get to the door. Don't worry about micro-navigating the traps, your sim isn't stupid enough to walk into an active trap. On the other side of the door are two large staircases. One leads up, the other leads down. If you go up, it will lead you out of the dungeon. The standing tiles on the way will open walls leading out to different places in the dungeon making it easier to get out. Take the stairs leading down instead. You'll come to a very empty room. Take the double doors out and you'll find a room full of mirrors. Check around the rooms and one of the supposed mirrors is actually a wall. A false wall. Grab the treasure and head through either of the arches into the next room. Behind the statue that is on the tile is a door. Move this statue off it's tile and then go through the door and do the same to the next statue. Collect the two crescent keystones. In the second room is a lone statue, behind that is a small room with a red statue and chest. Pull the statue out, loot the chest and then head back into the previous room and place one of the keystones into the slot on the wall. Walk into the small room and place the second keystone in the slot to come into a larger room with Egyptian statues. Check the tomb in the middle of the room and the two off to the left. Then stand on the tile just to the right of the chest you can't open. This will reveal another tile to the left. Stand on that tile to open a false wall in the back of the room. Go into the small room you just opened and push the two statues onto the two tiles. This will reveal a third tile in the main room. Stand on that one to reveal a fourth tile. This will reveal a fifth tile and a Mummy. Fight the mummy and stand on the fifth tile. Swim through the well you can get to and come out through the other one. Stand on the fifth tile and then pull the statue out and off to the side. Then swim back through the well. Another Mummy is in the room along with a sixth tile back by the chest. Stand on that to reveal a tile in the middle of the room. This last tile will seal Dong Huo in the Cave forever. Oddly it will also release him into the room for you to fight. The last thing is that it opens two hidden doors in the room. Go into this room and collect the goodies in the chest. Unfortunately the only way to open that first chest in the previous room is to buy another skeleton key. You can then exit through the walls behind the chests and up the stairs. Continue to the top. You are now done and can leave. There is a bit of treasure still left here however. If you'd like to collect it then return to the top and to the stairs your first took to get down into the dungeon. To the left of the stairs you just came down will be a little gap in the fence and a row of statues beyond. Pull a statue out so you can get behind them. Then you should see two hidden doors (there are semi-circles on the floor in front) on either side of the stairs. Use the one you can reach. Now you can use the other door to come out the other side. You don't have to push out the statues here. At the end of the row will be another hidden door. Use it. Clear the pile of rubble in this room and then inspect the hidey hole beneath it. This will open another hidden door into a dining room. Open the chest in here and then inspect the wall behind the two displaced book shelves in the corner. You'll find a room with stairs leading downward. Go down the stairs and through the only door in the room. Around the statue you'll probably find some loot if you want it. On the far end of the room from the statue, you'll see a wall that seems to stick out pretty far into the room. Inspect it. In the room behind the wall you'll find a bunch of standing coffins. Clear away the rubble in the room and search those coffins then "Pull Far" two lined up statues (either two is fine) to reach the two coffins beyond. ===================================END TOMB==================================== Report in! =========================================================== ============================ Non-Tomb Quests ============================== =========================================================== *** Constructing the First Emperor Mini *** Description ----------- It is my utmost desire to construct a miniature perfectly to scale tomb of the late First Emperor. Materials are required! Deliver 2 pieces of Lapis Lazuli to Wu Xio. I shall pay some Simoleons and some Ancient Coins. Make Haste! ----------- Find Lapis Lazuli: To do this, just zoom out to the area view. Just look around for them on the map and you'll find them eventually. Just be patient and make sure you look all over the map. Yes I said I wouldn't do these but the first couple aren't actually random. Deliver Gems: Just click the button to deliver them. *** A Mini Mercurial Desire *** Description ----------- Excellent! I believe the emperor would just squeal at the sight of this collection. Now I require 2 pieces of raw Mercury for use in the First Emperor's royal thermometer. I shall pay some Simoleons and some Ancient Coins for the work. ----------- Find pieces of unsmelted mercury: Zoom all the way out again and look for the stone icons again. Track down two pieces of mercury and make sure you don't send them off to be processed. Deliver Mercury: Return to the woman and give her the mercury. *** The Mini Emperor's Honor Guard *** Description ----------- I thank you again! Oh drat! I'm sorry. It seems I neglected to provide adequate protection within the First Emperor's miniature tomb. As the tomb is small, the neighbors simply will not fit. Perhaps you could bring 3 Red Assassin Bugs instead? You will be paid some Simoleons and some Ancient Coins! ----------- Find Red Assassin Bugs: This is the same as the stones. Zoom out and try to find the Assassin bug icons. They might be hard to find. Worst still is trying to click on them so you can catch them. They're very small and keep moving. Good luck. If you are having trouble finding them, you can wait a day or so and check again, leave china and return, or give up the opportunity. It will resurface again eventually. You could also try using the Collection Helper to find other collectables. The theory is that if you collect things (particularly bugs) then more will spawn and hopefully some will be Red Assassin bugs. Also, I've heard that if you use some mods (One was a "No Mosaic" mod) then that could interfere with the bugs appearing. After quiting the opportunity a couple of times because I couldn't find the bugs, it gave me the same quest but to get 2 bugs instead of three. Deliver Beetles: Click the button above your moodlets to return the bugs. *** Telescopic Metal *** Description ----------- Hello Sim, My name is Gao Pei! I've been studying the Dragon Cave for years and have found that with so many tourists these days it's much more peaceful and productive to study it from home, away from tourist commotion. To do this, I'm building a telescope and I'm wondering if you'll assist me in collecting 5 metals to construct the telescope. I'll pay you for your services! ----------- Find metals Deliver metals: Zoom out to the neighborhood view and find 5 metals, then deliver them. *** Pottery of Peculiar Properties *** Description ----------- A good find! This will work perfectly in the eyepiece of the telescope! It is almost finished; all I need now is the lens! I'll need to send some Ancient Pottery to the glass maker to be ground down and heated into glass. While I finish hooking up the eyepiece, can you go out and collect 2 Old Common relics? I'll make sure to you! ----------- Find Relics Deliver Relics: These old relics can be found during any tomb exploration and can probably be found off of one of the merchants in town. Find two of them and Deliver the Relics. *** Buster Parts *** Description ----------- Thanks for your help. But, I'm so disappointed! The new telescope lens got slightly damaged in the mail and will no longer fit into the lens socket! What shall I do? Wait! I have a friend who maybe able to fix it without having to send it back in the mail. You, Sim, have proven to be a big help in my endeavor; can I request your services once again? I need you to deliver the telescope parts to Bao Louie to be fixed. ----------- Deliver Parts: Take the parts to our dear friend Bao Louie. *** Repair Retrieval *** Description ----------- I've repaired the lens! Now that it's complete, please take it back so that Gao Pei can begin studying the Dragon Cave from home. Gao told me you'd be paid with some Simoleons and Ancient Coins for your help. ----------- Deliver Parts: Now take them back to Gao Pei. *** Lights Out! *** Description ----------- Thank you so much! Studying the Dragon Cave at home with my new telescope is great, but I tried to observe it last night and I couldn't see it with all of the lights on in the town! Would you mind trying to convince 3 locals to keep their lights off at night? I'll pay you if you can improve my view of the cave! ----------- Convince 3 people Report In Pick the three people you would like to convince, I usually use Bao Louie and two of the merchants in town. Butter them up, be nice to them and then pick the Convince Sim option. Once done, report in. ###### ##### #### ## ## #### ###### ## ## ## ## ## ### ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## # ## ## ## #### ##### ###### ## # ## ## #### ## ## ## ## ## ## ### ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## #### ###### [xxFrancexx] =========================================================== ===================== Forgotten Burial Ground chain ======================= =========================================================== *** A Trivial Affair *** Description ----------- I am looking for a daring soul who is willing to provide some assistance for an ample reward. If you are willing, please report to me, Aimee Lefebvre. ----------- Report In *** Celtic Foray *** Description ----------- Ah, thank you for coming. Are you prepared? I need you to do a bit of underground exploration for me. You should never go adventuring without the proper supplies though! I have already given you some dried food, essential for staying nourished while you explore the depths of any tomb. In addition, you should always bring a tent with you. As it happens, my humble store sells both tents and dried food, so you should peruse my wares when we are done speaking. Now to your mission. I need you to head up to the old Celtic Ruins and retrieve something I lost while exploring there several days ago. I dropped it in a hole in the floor and didn't realize until I was halfway home! You will know when you find it. Now go, I eagerly await your victorious return. ----------- Find the Mysterious Object: Visit the Forgotten Burial Ground outside of town by the Nectary. The stairs into the tomb are at the base of the hill leading back to town. Go down the stairs. ======================TOMB - The Forgotten Burial Ground======================= At the bottom of the stairs you'll see rubble. Clear the rubble to reveal a wall. Inspect the wall to reveal a room. Walk into the room and in the center you'll find a standing tile. Stand on said tile. Go through the door you just opened, clear the rubble for money, stand on the tile to reveal a hole in the wall right in front of you. Use the hole to open the door. In the next room, clear the rubble and collect the keystone. The horizontal wall without the keystone slot is fake, inspect it. Then insert the keystone. In this next room you'll see a gear tile. Walk to it and then turn left. Pull that statue out and onto the tile. Make sure you collect the Amethyst next to where the statue was. Now go through the door you just opened. You'll find yourself in a room with two statues and a gear tile. Pull the statue closest to it onto the tile. Then another tile will appear near the other statue so pull that statue out too. Once you've done both, a standing tile will appear on the floor. Stand on it to reveal stairs. From the standing tile, behind you on the slanted wall to your left will be a hole with a switch in it. Throw that switch. Now go down the stairs you opened with the statues. You'll find yourself in a hedge maze. The good thing is you don't actually have to find your way through it. Just pick a destination and your Sim will find their way by themselves. Across from the stairs is a small room with a hole in the ground. In one back corner of the maze is a standing tile that opens a secret door and not far from that is a hole in the ground. Make sure you find the keystone on the other side of the maze. Make sure you use the keystone in the other back corner of the maze. On the stairs side, near the front of the maze is a false wall to inspect. Make sure you take all the other goodies littered around the maze. There is a set of double doors towards the front of the maze and off to the side. A statue is nearby. You have to go around the back of the statue and pull it out a little. Then push it a little. Then you need to pull it off the wall and then push it onto the tile there to open the doors. Search the hole in the ground for the quest item. Take everything, especially the coins on the statue at the front of the room because it opens a door just to the side. On the same side of the room as that secret door is another secret door that you can inspect and open. The door out of this room leads to the top again. =================================END TOMB====================================== Deliver the baseball =========================================================== ========================== Mystery Room chain ============================= =========================================================== *** Surveying the Property *** Description ----------- Hello there! I moved here recently. While inspecting the grounds I found this strange, walled-in area near my house. I'd love to investigate myself, but I'm far too busy re-arranging the interior. You know how things can get! I am willing to pay someone to investigate them for me. Aspiring adventurers should pay a visit to me at my home. Sincerly - Gaston Dutiel. ----------- Just Offer your Assistance (AKA Report In). *** The Mystery Room *** Description ----------- I would really appreciate it if you would investigate this peculiar area for me. The only thing I know is my basement seems to be suspiciously deep and occasionally has strange noises coming from it. Perhaps you should check down there first. Here is the key. When you're done, come talk to me about what you found. ----------- To get to the basement, go into the house and to the kitchen. You'll find the stairs down in a small room against the outer wall of the kichen. Go down the stairs and you'll see a keystone slot. Use the keystone and then go through the door. =============================TOMB - The Basement=============================== Behind that door you'll find a room with different colored bricks on the floor and three statues. It appears you have no way to continue BUT if you pull out the statue that is already slightly moved, you can pull the torch behind it to reveal two gear tiles. Move the statues onto the tiles and go through the door. You'll come to a hallway that opens into a larger room with a fountain. Go into the smaller area with the founter and explore the hole in the ground which will open a wall segment in the hall. Go through the wall and the door beyond it to enter a tomb. Check the chest in the middle of the room and the coffin standing against the wall. Head back to the fountain room to find stairs leading up. If you haven't guessed, this leads up to the walled in area. Go up the stairs and then stand on the tile to open the wall. =================================END TOMB====================================== Report In. Hopefully the guy isn't sleeping. NOTE: The next part of this quest chain doesn't take place immediately after. You will receive the next step from the Adventure board eventually. *** More Like "Haunted Garden" *** Description ----------- Help! It turns out there may have been a reason my secret garden was sealed off. It is haunted! Do you think you could communicate with the apparition for me? Perhaps find out what it wants, what it will take for it to leave, or perhaps what it's willing to pay in rent? Its tombstone is in the garden. ----------- Head back over to this house and get back into the walled garder however you choose. When inside you'll see a glowing headstone. Mourn at the headstone. *** Love in Bloom *** Description ----------- Upon mourning at the tombstone a voice whispers on the wind. "My beloved adored Pomegranates. She loved to eat them after ever meal. I believe the garden would truly be complete if Pomegranates were planted in my garden. If this were done I believe I will be able to finally rest. Bring 4 Pomegranates to Gaston Dutiel to put the ghost to rest. ----------- Unfortunately this one is a pain in the rear. The best place to find Pomegranates is at the food market in Egypt. Since it'd probably be a pain to go there this very moment, feel free to quit this opportunity for now. It will eventually come back up at the adventure board later (it won't take too long). Then once you've been to Egypt you can buy some Pomegranates and keep checking the France Adventure board until this opportunity pops up again. *** Anything Else? *** Description ----------- I'm so glad to find out the ghost is not hostile. I was just about to call my real estate agent and give him a piece of my mind! Could you ask the apparition if there is anything else needed? I want to put this entire ghost thing behind me as soon as possible. ----------- Go back to the walled in garden and mourn at the statue again. *** Final Resting Place *** Description ----------- Upon mourning at the tombstone a voice whispers on the wind. "Now that you ask, there is one more thing. Don't worry, it is a simple task. I wish to lie near my beloved for all eternity. Her tombstone resides in a hidden burial chamber that is tucked away under this garden. Here are my remains. Take them and place them in the burial chest beside hers. When this is done I will be at peace. ----------- Head down the stairs and through the big room to the hallway. Go through the false wall in the hallway and return to the egyption burial room. There is a chest right in the middle of the room. Take out the loot and then move the remains from your inventory into the chest. *** Laid to Rest *** Description ----------- Gaston Dutiel will be quite pleased to hear the ghost problem has been peacefully resolved. Even more importantly, the garden is now open for visitors! Sim should tell Gaston Dutiel about what has happened. ----------- Just "explain everything" to Gaston. =========================================================== ========================= Museum Basement chain =========================== =========================================================== *** Trouble at the Museum *** Description ----------- Help! As the curator of the museum, I'm responsible fore the safe-keeping of Relics, art, and treasures. Unfortunately, the security guards are abandoning their posts. I am in need of a brave soul to assist me at the museum. Interested parties are to speak to me, Gustave Delven, at their earliest convenience. ----------- Go offer your assistance. *** On Patrol *** Description ----------- Oh thank goodness there is somebody else in Champs Les Sims who cares remotely for the museum's well-being! For some inexplicable reason the security guards are quitting. They just up and leave and they will not tell me why! Something is going on here and I intend to get to the bottom of it. In the meantime, I'd like you to patron the museum. Investigate the Egypian gallery and see if you can find anything. ----------- Zoom out to find the tomb icon and then use that to visit the Museum. Go up stairs and walk through the Egyptian exhibit. Go past the two standing coffins and through the door behind and you'll be given the option to Report In. Do so. *** Something in the Chinese Exhibit? *** Description ----------- You didn't find anything? You know, I've heard some guards mention they used to hear odd noises near the Chinese Exhibit at night. Could you explore the exhibit, snoop around a tad, and see if you can find anything? ----------- Go into the museum. Just past the big stairs you should see a hole in the wall. Inspect the hole and then Report In. *** Strange Sounds *** Description ----------- I'll bet the noises are coming from somewhere behind that secret door. Please investigate and see if you can find the source of the noise. hopefully you can stop it whatever it is. ----------- Head back to the museum and through the wall you opened earlier. ===========================TOMB - Under the Museum============================= Go through the wall and then follow the terrace to a door. Go through the door and down the two stairs into the tomb proper. In the basement you'll see two statues and some arrows on the floor. One arrow points to a wall with a lit torch on it. Pull the torch to show two gear tiles. Pull each statue once out to the side and then push them both far onto the tile to reveal a false wall at one of the other arrows. The last arrow also has a false wall but this one is opened by inspecting it. Go through this second wall and loot the chest then return to go through the first wall you opened (with the statues). Loot the chest on the other side and then pull the statue out a space to reveal a hole in the ground. Investigate the hole. Then push the statue onto the tile that you revealed at the end of the hall. This tile will open up another wall in this room. Go through it and then take a right into the big room with stairs. Beyond the stairs is another door which leads to a room with three more doors, two of which are locked. This is a bit tricky. Go through the open door and down the hall to open the chest. Unfortunately this closes the false wall. Go back to the room with the three doors and another one of them will be unlocked. Walk into that room and make your way to the third statue (the only one you can move). Pull that statue all the way out and then push the statue all the way to the end onto the tile that you just revealed. Now the door out just locked but another one unlocked. Go through the door you just unlocked and open the white chest beyond. Go back into the room with the three statues and there's a tile for you to stand on where the third statue originally was. Stand on this tile, then head back to the room with the chest and out through the door that was just unlocked. You are now back in the room with the three doors so go through the door you originally went through. This time you will open the wall and then walk along the other path that originally had the lightning trap and so you won't close the wall. Go through the false wall and into the room with the headstone. Look inside the coffin against the wall and then mourn at the headstone to open another false wall. Then read the note on the wall which will reveal a hole in the floor. Investigate the hole and then go through the wall. Down the stairs, loot the chest, then up the stairs and loot the next one. Go up the last stairs to exit the tomb. =================================END TOMB====================================== *** The Curator's Final Exhibit *** NOTE: You actually get this when you read the plaque in the basement of the museum by the headstone. Description ----------- It seems the unfortunate former curator met his demise inside the sarcophagus of his own exhibit. Place his remains inside his family chest located in the cemetery in Champs Les Sims for the curator to finally have peace. ----------- Head on over to the cemetery in Champs Les Sims. There will be a tomb icon to lead you there. Head to the back of the cemetery with the rows of rooms. At the very back between the rooms you'll see a hole in the ground. Inspect it to open one of the doors. Go into the room and take the keystone out of the chest. Then open the chest again and click and drag the curator's remains into the chest. *** Success with the Haunting *** Description ----------- The haunting is at an end. Gustave Delven will surely be placed at ease if Sim tells the entire story. ----------- Just "explain everything" to the curator. =========================================================== =================== Lost Library of Landgraab chain ======================= =========================================================== *** The Search Begins *** Description ----------- My name is Noelle Saint James. I am an avid amateur historian, with my specialty being the local history of Champs Les Sims. The thesis of my book is that the delicious beverage Nectar was invented here thousands of years ago by Jean Necteaux. I require the assistance of an ambitious Sim who can interview Berthe Girard for any information concerning our history and then report to me. ----------- Just a normal convincing adventure. Go to the sim, have a friendly conversation and then interview her. Continue chatting her up until she hands over the information. *** The Lost Library of Landgraab *** Description ----------- Your interviews revealed that Admiral Landgraab was also studying the history of Nectar nearly 60 years ago and that he may have notes about what he learned. Unfortunately, Landgraab was a rampant conspiracy theorist and worrywart and his home is shut up tighter than Napoleon's tomb. Take this key to his library and try to find the papers. It should be near the front of his home. Please be careful! ----------- Zoom out and find the tomb icon to lead you to Chateau du Landgraab. Time to find the lost library. ======================TOMB - The Lost Library of Landgraab===================== If you haven't done the adventure in China, then to get in, you will need to go around the back of the mansion. Follow the path up to the back door and on the right side of the path you'll see a lamp post with a hole in the ground next to it. Investigate the hole to get in. Once you are in, take the door on the left and then the doublt door immediately to your right. This should lead to a room with a giant staircase. There is a trap on the dark spot on the floor. The best way to deal with this is to pull the statue back towards the door a couple of times, then pull it to the right to line up with the trap, and then push it onto the trap. This should deactivate it. Head over to the keystone slot and insert the keystone to open the door to the right. Read the plaque on the wall for a clue. It will point you to a sound system in the next room. Go into the room and turn on the music to deactivate the traps in this room. Now you may loot the chest. You'll find the papers here. Before you leave, go out of this room, across to the next set of double doors into a living room and out the back of that into a somewhat round room. Grab the relic on the floor next to the table. =================================END TOMB====================================== Deliver the papers. *** Code Breaker *** Description ----------- I refuse to let Admiral Landgraab's code get the best of me. Gustave Delven is a well known cryptanalyst. In fact, Gustave Delven deciphered the legendery Vaughan Cipher that stumped Adventurers for years! Take the Nectar Papers to Gustave Delven for translation. ----------- Just deliver the papers. *** Code Broken *** Description ----------- Take these papers and deciphering key to Noelle Saint James. This should give Noelle Saint James all the information need to complete the current research on Nectar. Ask Noelle Saint James to send me a copy of the finished report, will you? ----------- Deliver the papers back *** Landgraab I... Kidnapper? *** Description ----------- I am conducting research on the disappearance of Anastasia Necteaux. It is my belief that Admiral Landgraab I had something to do with her disappearance. I would like to investigate this further, but require assistance. Please come see me if willing and able to offer assistance! ----------- Just offer assistance. *** The Groundskeeper's Journal *** Description ----------- The former groundskeeper of the Landgraab estate, Willard Leroo, kept a journal that I believe may contain first-hand information about the disappearance of Anastasia Necteaux. Please journey to the shack, located on the grounds of the Landgraab Chateau, and recover his journal for me. ----------- Head back to Chateau du Landgraab once again. You're looking for a small hut behind the mansion. It's fanced in. Behind this hut you'll find stairs leading down. Go down the stairs and in the back of the basement on a table will be a heart shaped keystone. Take the keystone and head back upstairs and around to the front door of the hut. Use the keystone, go in the front door and open the chest. Take everything inside and then Deliver the journal. *** The Key, Please *** Description ----------- Blast! The journal is locked. It appears this won't be as easy as first thought. Willard's daughter, Manon Godard, lives in Champs Les Sims. I'm confident she has a key to this journal. Speak to her to obtain the key. Telling her it will aid the town may convince her to help. ----------- Befriend the sim if you haven't already and then convince her to give you the key. *** A New Ring *** Description ----------- By giving you the key, I'll help the town? Of course I'll help you. Oh no! I'm not one to miss an opportunity either. I will need a favor, first. My current collection of jewelry has goten old. I need something new, something fresh! Go find 2 pieces of gold and bring them to me. Hurry along now if you want the key! ----------- Zoom out to the neighborhood view and find two pieces of gold and deliver them to her. *** A New Ring *** Description ----------- A nice band is nothing with a fantastic jewel on top. Please, find me an Amethyst and bring it to me. I'll trade the key to my father's journal for the gem. ----------- First, yes, same name but different quest. Second, yes, they said "with" instead of "without." Third, yes, you just did this except with Gold. So do what you just did and find some uncut Amethyst. Make sure it's uncut because if the gem is already cut, she won't take it. Once you find it, deliver it. *** Here's the Key *** Description ----------- "You can have the key to the journal, though I'd appreciate it if Noelle Saint James would return the key and journal to me when finished with it." Sim should deliver it to Noelle Saint James as soon as possible. ----------- Deliver the Key. *** Chateau Crawl *** Description ----------- Excellent, I can finally open this journal. Let me see here... fascinating! It seems there was quite the ruckus many years ago. At one point some shady looking men dragged someone into the chateau. The famous James Vaughan went in to save the person who... yes, turned out to be Anastasia Necteaux. I found this key to the estate attached to one of the pages. Landgraab was the meticulous sort, which leads me to believe he kept notes on this incident. Head to the estate and see if you can find those notes. Be careful - Landgraab was paranoid. His whole house is filled with traps and security measures. ----------- =========================TOMB - Chateau Du Landgraab=========================== Head back to Chateau du Landgraab. Instead of going in the back, this time you want to go to the side of the building (fountain side) and you'll be able to go up some stairs to a sort of patio. You'll see a door leading into the building (if you head in the direction of the fountain) with a keystone slot next to it that should be glowing. Use the keystone and open the door. Move the four statues onto the four gear tiles and then go through the other door leading out of this room. Walk down the hall and when you come to a room, take the door in front of you just slightly to the right. This should bring you back to the big staircase by the front door. Take the stairs up. Turn left and to the left of the next set of stairs you'll find a door that leads to a room over the library. Just off of this room is a very small closet area with a standing tile. Stand on it. Leave this room back out to where the stairs are, take a left and walk past the stairs and down the hallway. You'll find three doors in this hallway and you'll want the one at the very end. Take the vase off of the night stand and then on the left side of the room you'll see another of those small closet rooms with another tile for you to stand on. Do so. Leave the room and walk down the hall. At the end, take a left and walk past the big staircase that you came up. You'll see a left that will take you down a narrow hallway with three dark spots (traps) in it. you can inspect and disarm/cross if you'd like or you can go a little beyond those to the white door on the left wall. If you go through this room and the next it will take you out to the other side of the traps. Either way, take a right when you come out and go through the door at the end of the hall. In this room there's another little room hanging off the right corner with another tile in it. Stand on the tile. Now head all the way back to the two big staircases and take the one leading up. At the top of the stairs you'll find two doors to your left. The Single white door will have a chest behind it while the double doors will have the notes you are looking for. Grab the first chest if you like, head through the double doors and loot the glowing chest for the Admiral's Orders. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Deliver the notes. =========================================================== ======================= The Nectary Cellar chain ========================== =========================================================== *** Nectar Research Assistance Needed *** Description ----------- I am in need of a research assistant for my evaluation of Nectar. Potential applicans should be in excellent physical condition, should possess a knack for adventure, and of course, an appreciation for Nectar. Please speak to Colette Bonnet if interested. ----------- Well, go offer your assistance! *** In the Back of the Cellar *** Description ----------- It is a little known fact that the Nectary here in town is centuries old and the cellars below date back to those times. There are some truly ancient bottles down there. If I had just one of those bottles I could break down its ingredients and uncover so much about the lost art of Nectar making Go to the cellar and find a bottle of Nectar that is atleast 5000 years old. Back then they used to store them in chests so be sure to check any you find. Take this keystone, it should get you into some of the older sections of the cellars. ----------- Go down the stairs in the back of the Nectary (by the Nectar Makers). ==============================TOMB - Nectary Cellar============================ Once you come down the stairs you can head strait to go into a Nectar bar room. Off to the right side between two Nectar racks (by the bathroom) will be a false wall. Collect the Nectar from the rack if you like. One of the walls on the bathroom side of this room is false and behind it is a small room with a treasure chest. Head back to the room with the stairs. Go through the single door behind the stairs and into the room with the well with the purple water. Explore the well for a bottle of Nectar and then continue through the room and through the arch. You'll come to a small square room with another door leading out. Go through that door. Read the sign on the right wall and then proceed through the obviously false wall in the back. In the next room with the giant rocks you might find some loot on the floor. Take a look and then head through the door in the back. Walk around the L-shaped hallway and into the room with small statues and two chests. Loot the chests and then insert the keystone into the slot by the door. Head into the next room. That was anti-climactic, huh? Loot the two side chests and then the one in the middle. But wait! There's More! You can now tell her of your discovery. Do so. *** A Cellar Full of Clues *** Description ----------- Very Intriguing. As I said, many of those cellars are very ancient and almost no one ever goes down there. I'm sure the cellars are filled with secrets such as the one you discovered. Nevertheless, I am quite interested in what you have found. Please head back down there and see if you can learn anything more. ----------- Return to the room you just opened and stick your hand in each of the three holes in the back of the room. Then Tell her what happens AGAIN. ==============================TOMB INTERMISSION================================ *** A Quick Follow-Up *** Description ----------- I cannot help you decipher this riddle, but I have a hunch it's important. Please, you must help me! Go speak with Noelle Saint James. Noelle Saint James has been doing extensive research on the history of town and might have an idea what it means. ----------- Go discuss the riddles with the Sim. *** To Egypt! *** Description ----------- I have not heard a good riddle in some time, so your presence delights me. Let me think a minute... Pharaohs, sparkles. It sounds to me like you may be searching for some kind of gems. I have a good friend in Egypt who is something of an amateur Egyptologist and should be able to help you. My friend has been studying insects of late. I hightly suggest you collect some local insects to bring with you just in case. I'd say five Cerambryx Beetles would do just fine. ---------- Zoom out and find the beetles you are looking for. Thankfully these aren't like the Assassin bugs in China. Grab however many you need and then return home. Once you are capable of going to Egypt, do so. Once in Egypt, zoom out to find the Egyptologist. Go to the sim and "Seek assistance" *** Entymology *** Description ----------- Yes, I would be willing to help you, but first you need to help me. Bring me 5 Cerambryx Beetles from France for my research. You are clearly a man of travel, so that won't be so hard for you will it? ----------- Deliver the Beetles you already brought with you. *** The Black Market *** Description ----------- Ah, I see you've come prepared, thank you for your help. History tells us that centuries ago, Jean Necteaux lived in Al Simhara, Egypt for some time before running back to France with the Pharoah's daughter whom he fell in love with. According to myth, when they left they stole three mystical gems that were going to be used to make a new crown for the Pharoah. Perhaps these are the gems of your riddle. Go speak with the Al Simhara Relic Merchant Nabila Moussa who follows the less than... wholesome markets on these things and may know something. ----------- Find the merchant (you may have to zoom out) and seek their assistance. *** The Sleazy Merchant *** Description ----------- The legendary gems of the Pharaoh Anak-Rus' crown! The legends speak of a sapphire more blue than the sky on the clearest day, a ruby a deeper red than fresh blood, and an emerald more piercing green than the eye of a cobra. I will help you find them. They would be truly great treasures to own. As luck will have it, I believe I know where the Ruby of Sakhara is. Before I dispense this information, I require a simple donation to my private holdings of a 3 Relics worth at least 200 simoleons. That is reasonable, yes? ----------- If you already have the relics necessary, feel free to hand those over. If not then you can find the relics in just about any tomb or you can even buy them. Conveniently enough she sells them. However you do it, give her the relics. *** A Little Too Sleazy *** Description ----------- I was able to locate the Ruby while you were gone. Seeing as how the Ruby didn't come cheap, if you could bring me one more Relic worth at least 500 Simoleons I would greatful. I may have a few for sale right here in my store if you wanted to purchase it, Ha Ha Ha! ----------- She may or may not have relics worth enough for this. Go about finding the relic however you need to and then hand it over once you've got it. *** To France! *** Description ----------- Here is the Ruby of Sakhara as promised. I believe the other gems are in France. Myth states that the Sapphire of the Crescent Moon lies in the tomb of Jean Nexteaux's wife, Isael who is burried near her husband. I suggest you return to France and speak to Colette Bonnet. ----------- Already back to France! You heard the lady! Head home and then go to France. Report in when you get to France and you'll be directed to head back to the three holes in the basement of the Nectary. =========================TOMB - Return to the Nectary========================== Return to the Nectary basement and dig into the glowing hole. *** The way to Isael's Tomb *** Description ----------- It seems the best course of action is to explore the area again as was suggested. ----------- Turn around, there's a keystone on the pedestal in the middle. Collect it. *** If the Key Fits... *** Description ----------- This key must unlock the Tomb of Isael mentioned by Colette Bonnet! Placing the Ruby must have made it appear! A key is useless without its companion lock. If the Sapphire of the Crescent Moon is to be recovered, Neo must first find the entrance to the tomb somewhere near the vicinity of the three holes. Perhaps there is a secret door somewhere around here? ----------- The wall opposite the door with the keystone slot is a false wall (between the two statues). Inspect it. Collect the loot from the pedestal to and then put the keystone in the glowing slot. *** At Last, the Sapphire *** Description ----------- History is made by the bold, and by the looks of it, Sim. The Tomb of Isael is now unlocked and ready to be explored. What lies within its silent walls? All that remains is to find the sapphire deep within the Tomb. Sim must be careful, for it is safe to assume Jean Necteaux and his wife, Isael, had no intentions of these sacred chambers being breached. ----------- Go through the door you just unlocked and then down the two flights of stairs. Once you reach the bottom, take the bottle of Nectar from the floor and then head through the door beyond. Walk down the hall to the room with the two Egyptian torch statues. Take a left and go through the double doors. In the middle of this room is a hole in the floor. Use it to reveal some tiles. You'll see one of the statues is lit by a torch. Pull the statue out one spot. Then push it all the way to the back corner. Then walk to the other side of it and pull the statue so it's in front of the tile. Push it once more to rest it on the tile. A hole will appear on the wall beside the statue. Use that hole to receive a heart keystone. Now pull that same statue back out one space. Then push it all the way to the far back corner. Walk around the statue again and pull it so that it's in front of the next tile and then push it on once again. This will reveal a standing tile. Go stand on it. This room is now done but before you leave, there are two things to collect. Against the wall with the door leading out, there are three niches with Nectar racks. The niches on either side of these racks have loot for you. One is a chest on the same wall as the racks and the other is a bottle on a pedestal on the other side of the Nectar racks, just around the corner. Leave the room the way you came in and walk strait across the middle room to the door on the other side. As you walk into the room you'll see a small area with two statues and then a bigger area with a well. In the room with the well you'll find two Nectar racks with nectar you can take on the right side and on the left side behind the hanging clothes is a relic you can take. On the right wall you'll see there is a false wall between the pots and clothes rack. Inspect it. There's a bottle of Nectar behind the wall. When you're done looting, hop in the well and explore to open a false wall in the back of the room. This is a little tricky. Pull statue one way out. Then push it into the corner. Then pull it out one spot towards the door you just came through. Then PUSH it one more spot in the same direction so that it blocks your way out. Now go to the next statue and pull it all the way out so that there's only one space between it and the corner. Both statues should be very close to each other but you should have room to walk to the chest now. Loot the chest. Once you've looted the chest, push the second statue back the way it had come and all the way onto the gear tile in the corner. Pull the first statue back into the corner so you can get around it and back out of the room. Head back into the middle room again. On the way to the keystone slots there is a door on the left. Go through it and in the bathroom there is a false wall in the back. It's the only wall without something against it. Loot the chest beyond and then go back to the middle room to place the keystones in the slots. The two traps should now be off. At the end of the hall is a huge pile of rubble. Clear it and then pull one of the statues way out and back to the middle room. Push the statue onto the gear tile. This will reveal another gear tile for you to cover with the second tile. So do the same with the second statue. Once you've covered that tile, two hidden doors will open up on the two angled walls in this room. Ignore those for now and go into the room that was behind the statues. Grab the loot off of the coffee table and the end table. Go to the back of the room to where the barrels are and inspect the wall with the odd floor. Go into the next room and on the wall with the giant fans is another false wall. Behind that is some rubble. Clear the rubble for some loot. Head back into the previous room and then out the archway across from the couch to come out on a walkway behind two statues. Walk across the walkway to another room with a LOT of statues. This is tough, hopefully this will help. DIAGRAM: I'm going to use the XY grid to tell you where to move the statues. The first set will tell you which statue to move and then the second will say which spot to move it to. "H" is the heart keystone and "C" is the chest in the corner of the room. Start ______ A| ###| 1) C2 -> D2 8) A5 -> A2 B| ## #| 2) B3 -> B2 9) C5 -> A5 C|### #H| 3) B2 -> C2 10) D5 -> C5 D|# # ##| 4) B4 -> B1 11) Chest E|#### C| 5) A4 -> A1 12) C5 -> E5 ------ 6) B6 -> B2 13) A5 -> C5 123456 7) Keystone 14) A2 -> A4 This should get you the keystone, the chest, and back out of the room. Once you have collected everything, head back to the previous room and pull the statue off of the gear tile, and then go all the way around and loot the chest on the other side of the statues. Once you've looted the chest, turn around and walk back through the double doors, across the living room area and through the double doors on the other side of the room. In the next room, off to the left will be a metal bar on the table surrounded by three chairs. Clear the three piles of rubble in the room. Two will reveal chests and the third will reveal a door. Loot the chests and then follow the door you just uncovered into a bathroom. The wall with the unusual floor in front of it is a false wall. Inspect it. Beyond that false wall is another room with another false wall that is clearly oddly colored. Inspect that to head into a garden. Collect the Keystone in the middle of the room, loot the chest and grab the relic from the ground. Now head back. Head way back into the big room with the two double doors and then back further past the door that was blocked by two statues and over the two traps you deactivated with the first two heart keystones and into the room with the two statues on the two gear tiles where those two diagonal walls opened up. I once called this room the "middle room." There are two false walls leading to two seperate rooms. Head into the one with the stacked barrels. Grab the chest next to the statue and then put anything you would like on the pedestal. This will open another false wall. Loot the room beyond and then head back into the middle room and through the other false wall. In here you'll see quite a few fire traps. One keystone on the wall to the left of the first set of traps will shut the traps off and then the next one to the right of the door will unlock the door. Through the door you'll come to a room with four statues and four tiles that can all be covered with four pushes. Once you've covered the four tiles, the door will unlock and a false wall will open across from it. Grab any coins behind the false wall and then head through the unlocked door. You'll come to a very large room with all sorts of things including a giant staircase and a sort of Egyptian throne. Check all of the coffins standing against the wall. Once you've collected the loot, go over to the two statues and pull the first one out and onto the gear tile. This will deactivate the traps before the stairs leading up. Head up the stairs, cross or disarm the traps and then loot the chests to get the sapphire. Before you report in, on the left side of this area is another false wall. In the small room collect the relic and then there's another false wall out of this room. Find it and then proceed into the next room which is really just a transition to a set of double doors. Behind the double doors is a small room with all sorts of goodies. Once you are done with that, you can report in. *** Yes, But Does it Work? *** Description ----------- Much like the Ruby, you must test to see if the sapphire fits. Take the Sapphire to one of the two remaining holes, inspect it for a slot, and place the Sapphire. Return to me when you are done. ----------- Head back to the holes one more time and insert the Sapphire into the glowing hole. =============================TOMB INTERMISSION================================= Discuss the Emerald with the Sim. *** Have You Seen this Necklace? *** Description ----------- Based on what you learned, I have an idea where the third gem is. History mentions that Anastasia always wore a beautiful green gem in a necklace. I believe after she died it was eventually sold at auction. Ask a handful of Sims about the auction to see what you can discover. ----------- Head into town and convince three sims to talk to you about the Necklace. Yeah, that's right, you can't just ask them, you actually have to convince them to talk about it because it's some kind of big secret. Anyway, I recommend the Market sims because they are always at their shops no matter the time of day. *** Mmm, Nectar *** Description ----------- Yes, I remember that necklace quite well. Stunningly beautiful. I was quite young when the auction was held. I was there actually, working as a server for the kitchen. It was Adele Durand who bought the Emerald necklace. Adele Durand loves his Nectar. I suggest you buy some Excellent Nectar to bring with you. ----------- Make, Find, or buy Excellent Nectar and Report In. *** Success is Sweet *** Description ----------- Thank you, this is one of my favorite Nectars! You say you want the gem from my necklace! Hah! I wouldn't give it to just anyone, but if you are working to help the town, I'll gladly give it to you. I paid less for it than this bottle of Nectar, so I am still profiting anyway, hahaha! You should head back and tell Colette Bonnet of your success. ----------- Report your success! *** Opening the Tomb of Necteaux *** Description ----------- With this Emerald, you will be able to finally open the door to the tomb. If this is indeed the final resting place of Jean Necteaux, and if what I have read is true, his final resting place contains the original recipe for Nectar, rumored to be the greatest Nectar ever created. You must recover it! The recipe could revitalize the Champs Les Sims Nectar Industry and make it the greatest source of Nectar in all the world once again! ----------- Back into the tomb! ==========================TOMB - Again Nectary Cellar========================== Go back down into the Cellar again and head once again to those three holes and place the Emerald in the last glowing hole. *** Opening the Tomb of Necteaux *** Description ----------- With the Emerald, you will be able to finally open the door of the tomb. ----------- Another keystone will appear on the pedestal behind you. Collect it and use it to open the door in this room. In the next room you'll see a flight of stairs and two statues in the corners. The statue to the right can be moved so pull it way out and then inspect the hole in the wall that was being blocked by it. This will open a false wall on the left side of the room. Inspect the three holes in the floor and then head down the stairs. At the bottom fo the stairs you'll come to a grey room that splits down the middle. Go around to the left side, collect the bottle of Nectar by the statue on the floor and then inspect the wall between the two statues. Then head back around the right side and collect the treasure off of the pedestal before heading up the stairs. Up here, all you see are two special tiles and a statue. Push the statue back to activate one tile and then pull it back and let it stand on the second tile. Head back down the stairs and now go up the other stairs which were previously blocked. Walk along the outside to the next flight of stairs. At the top, explore the well. You'll come out into a room with a couple of Nectar Racks. Take all the nectar and the money on the ground, then take the stairs leading up. From there, take the smaller stairs leading further up. When you get upstairs you'll find a very messed up floor leading across the room. Make your way across the gap following the walk way and grabbing coins on the way. Make your way to the statue but don't move it yet. Take a left and collect the relic on the sqaure island, then go back and push the statue in. Make your way over to the Heart Keystone on the floor by the wall and then head back to the door by the stairs to use it. Go through the door you just unlocked and down the stairs. Collect the gems from the pedestals and then the loot from the chest and check beside the stairs leading down for a hole in the wall. Inspect it and if the wall didn't open, inspect it again. then head down the stairs. In the next room you'll find a lot of tiles, don't bother standing on them yet. Head through the unlocked door in the room, clear the rubble in the next and collect the nectar in the room. Don't forget to clear the Nectar racks too. Any rack that appears to have bottles on it can be looted. Head through the false wall you previously opened and check the chest beyond. Go through the next door and the door just after that. In this next room, clear the rubble and make sure you check the coffin twice. Head back to the room with all the tiles. If you notice, the four statues all point inward. If you follow where all of them point, you'll find one tile in the middle of all of them. Stand on that tile to unlock the door. Go through the door. In this next room, stand on the tile right in front of you. This will turn off the traps and cause a blue light appear. Move into the center of the blue light and it will move. Continue to move along with the light like this. Make sure you follow the light because you'll walk into a trap if you don't. Once you make it to the end of the path by following the light, you can stand on a tile that will deactivate the traps and you can go wherever you want. Wander around the room and collect treasure. Once you are done, head back to the beginning of the room and you'll see a small archway the leads to a very small room that's in the middle of a larger room with four sphinx statues. Head into that small room and inspect the walls on either side to reveal that they are fake. Go into the bigger room and collect the vase on the pedestal and the gem on the other pedestal. Head through the other false walls here to come to a long room with chests on either side. Loot the chests and head back to the blue light room. Walk all the way to the other end and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs you'll come to a room you recognize. Pull the statue out onto the gear tile to let you out and deactivate the other set of traps in the room. Head past those traps and down the other set of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs you'll find two sets of barrels. Inspect the wall between them. At the end of the hall is a double door. Go through it. You've reached the tomb room. Go around the room checking coffins and collecting treasure from the floor. Make sure you move around with purpose because there is atleast one very tough Mummy in this room. When you've checked everything, loot the main glowing tomb in the back. Once you've flipped the switch and received the recipe from the coffin, inspect the wall just behind it and loot the room behind the false wall. Once you've take everything, head to the area that was previously blocked off by flame traps. Take the nectar from the three racks, loot the chest and go through the door. You'll go up some stairs and come to a room with a chest. Loot the chest and stand on the tile to open a door. Now just report your success! ====================================END TOMB=================================== Report to the Sim to receive a very nicely priced bottle of Nectar. =========================================================== =========================== Non-Tomb chains =============================== =========================================================== *** Flavortastic *** Description ----------- I seek flavor of the highest caliber. Those bright enough to know what I'm talking about know exactly what I mean - high quality Nectar! Bring me a bottle of Nectar that's of Great quality or better and I'll pay you some Simoleons. ----------- This isn't so bad. If you haven't already been to China where you may have already collected a Great quality Nectar then you can either make Nectar by growing grapes and then crushing them until you get good enough nectar or you can go to the Nectary in town and buy some. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you the qualities of the nectars. That's ok, the Gralladina Fran Grapes Cherries Nectar for $72 will work just fine. *** Prove Me Wrong *** Description ----------- Some claim that there is plenty of good Nectar in Champs Les Sims. I believe the contrary. I'm willing to pay a reward to the one who can prove me wrong. ----------- This is quite similar to Flavortastic. A Great quality bottle will be just fine it appears. Find, make, or buy a bottle and then Deliver the Nectar. *** The New Nectar Machine *** Description ----------- I am trying to improve my Nectar making operations. In order to do this I need raw materials to create a new Nectar Maker. Please bring 2 pieces of Titanium to me and I'll pay some Simoleons ----------- Zoom out to the neighborhood view so you can find some titanium. Find it and collect some, then deliver it for the next step. *** One More Component *** Description ----------- I can begin building my new Nectar machine with these materials immediately. However, it turns out I forgot this one crucial component for my Nectar Maker. Could you speak to Margot Petit and convince them to give you a Nectowhiz Computer Chip for me? I'd really appreciate it. ----------- In case you didn't figure it out already, this is a convincing mission. Click the button to Convince Sim and you'll run over to meet her. Make a friendly introduction and then have a bunch of friendly interactions. Anything will work as long as the person starts to like you. About a dozen interactions or so and you can try and convince the sim again. That should be enough, if not you can do a few more interactions and then try again. Once you've convinced her, she will give you the parts and you need to deliver them. *** I need a Date *** Description ----------- I'm desperately in need of a date, but I'm too nervous to ask this girl, Margot Petit, if she'll go out with me. I'll pay anyone willing to do this for me. ----------- Go butter this lady up for the guy and then convince her that she should date him. Once you've convinced her, report to the guy. *** An Endeavor for Flavor *** Description ----------- I seek to perfect the beverage of Nectar, and to put Champs Les Sims on the map as the greatest location for Nectar making in the world. I require assistance in this endeavor. Please bring 10 samples of the Cherimola Blan varietal of grape to me. We shall perfect the flavor yet! ----------- If you don't have the grapes, you can find them at the Catania Cafe. Buy some and then deliver them. *** Creating Nectar *** Description ----------- You cannot just shove grapes into bottles and expect them to become liquid. No, they must first be smashed between your toes. Once you've finished, rev up old Flo, my beloved Nectar maker. She will turn your smashed grapes into delicious nectar. Bring me the bottles when you are done. ----------- You'll need to make three bottles of Nectar using the machines in the back. "Add fruit" to one of the machines, you must use 10 pieces of fruit, and then squish the fruit. After that, choose make Nectar and, if you have the options, choose how you want to make it. If you don't make enough, make another batch. After the machine finishes a batch, make sure you go to the machine and take the bottles out. Then deliver the Nectar. *** A Little Experiment *** Description ----------- Take this set of fruits, smash them in the Nectar Maker and make more Nectar. I guarantee you will be surprised by what emerges. Each unique combination of fruites has its own charm, and some will taste mcuh better than you might expect... others, not so much. Go, make Nice or better quality Nectar and bring it back to me. ----------- You need three bottles of Nice Nectar. Go through the fruit into the machine, smash it up and you should have a Nice bottle of Nectar in no time. Then deliver it. *** Even Better *** Description ----------- You are well on your way to being a renowned creator of Nectars! Now I want you to create a Nectar that is at least Very Nice or better and bring it to me. I shall reward you with some Nectar. ----------- Once again, make some Nectar. The point is to experiment and find a good combination for Nectar. I made this nectar by accident. I also highly suspect that you could BUY a few bottles of high quality nectar and turn those in as well. Enjoy experimenting a little. ###### ###### ## ## ###### ######## ## ## ## ## # # ## #### ## ## # # ## ## ## ## ## ###### ## ## ## # ## # ## ###### ###### ## # ## [xxEGYPTxx] =========================================================== ======================= The Three Relics chain ============================ =========================================================== *** Business Abroad *** Description ----------- MorcuCorp is working on a business opportunity with the Egyptian government to find three ancient relics in Al Simhara. The work will be dangerous, but quite profitable. Interested Sims should report to Zahra Diab for more information. ----------- Just click the "Report in" button above your moodlets. *** An Introductory Test *** Description ----------- It is most excellent to see a fresh set of hands in Al Simhara! I suggest you visit the market before you venture further to purchase a tent, some dried food, and a Shower in a Can so that you don't end up starved or smelly amongst the dunes. Here is some dried food - awful tasting stuff, but it will keep you alive. I need you to take care of a small errand for me. I accidentally left some papers in a nearby tomb. Go to the Tomb of Discover, find my papers, and bring them back to me. You will be compensated. Then, I will give you more exciting tasks! ----------- Zoom way out to the Neighborhood Mode to find the ruin icon. Click on it to travel to it. ============================TOMB - Tomb of Discovery=========================== So once you get to the outside hut, walk inside and down the stairs to be in the tomb proper. Take a right and walk through the door. There's a chest in the middle of the room. Take the keystone from it and then insert it into the slot on the wall by the door in front of you. Go through the door and there will be a special tile on the floor that you need to stand on. So stand on it to reveal a flight of stairs which you need to descend. At the bottom of the stairs you'll find another of these tiles in front of a door. Stand on it to unlock the door and then go through it. In the next room you'll find another special type of tile and a moveable statue. If you place your cursor over the statue you'll see an arrow appear. Depending on which side you place your cursor, the arrow will appear in different places denoting which direction the statue will move when pushed or pulled. Sometimes it helps if you rotate the camera and use that to guide the direction you'll push and pull. Pull this statue two spots toward the tile and then pull it one more spot back towards the door you came through to land it on the gear tile. This should unlock the next door and lead you to another room with a similar tile and some more statues. Pull the statue in the middle of the room onto the gear tile to reveal a standing tile in the room. Stand on that tile to unlock the door. You have just completed the first Egyptian tomb! Sort of. You still have some looting to do. Wander over to the glowing chest to collect what you came here for in the first place. Before you leave, check the wall just to the left of the chest. If you place your cursor over it, you'll get the option to inspect it. Do so to reveal a false wall. Not all false walls will be so obvious and sometimes the only way to tell is to move your cursor over it and watch for it to change to an action cursor. Behind the wall check out the chest and any possible Ancient Coins on the floor as well. Go up the stairs and then stand on the tile to open the door leading out. ====================================END TOMB=================================== From here just click the Deliver Briefing button. *** Agent of MorcuCorp *** Description ----------- The tomb didn't kill you? Most Excellent! It will take me some time to analyze these papers. Until then, MorcuCorp has other tasks for you. Report to my lacky Raffi Barakat. I don't fully trust this person, but one cannot choose their employees. Do whatever is asked of you. ----------- Just Report in *** Gems of the Sands *** Description ----------- My name is Raffi Barakat. Zahra Diab gives me all the hard jobs for this operation, typical MorcuCorp work ethic. Gobble the easy profits and cower from trouble. Anyway the boss didn't properly budget our operations for this quarter. Obviously the locals expect to be paid. I need you to find 4 pieces of Turquoise, which I can use instead of cash payment. You may find some near the pyramids across the river, I'd start there first. ----------- Zoom way out to the neighborhood view to be able to see little icons for the turquoise. Unfortunately these are randomly spawning objects so you might not be able to find all the pieces you are looking for right away. If you can't find them there are a few ideas that might help (though I don't guarentee they will). You can collect all you can and then wait until the next day and perhaps more will pop up. You can travel home and back to try to get them to spawn or you can use a Collection finder and collect as many other things hoping to cause turquoise to spawn again later on those spots. Lastly you can quit the opportunity for now and pick it up later from the adventure board. You will pick right back up where you were and hopefully more gems will have spawned while you were doing other adventures. This also gives the chance that the opportunity will spawn again but with a lower requirement like only two gems instead of four. Hopefully you'll just find the gems and carry on. Once you find the gems, Deliver them. *** Local Intel *** Description ----------- That turquoise will keep operations moving along nicely. Sending you to assist me is the best hing MorcuCorp has done in weeks! I hope you stick around. I have some personal concerns about the reputation of MorcuCorp and I believe the local citizenry is growing hostile. I'd like you to get close to some of the other villagers and see what they think about this corporation. ----------- This is a convincing mission. When you get one of these you have to talk to so many local sims and befriend them to get them to talk about a certain topic. To do this, just greet them with a friendly introduction and then pick the friendly topics of conversation. You can either click chat and let them just talk until they become friendlier or you can go around the wheel of options until you get about a dozen or so positive interactions. Once you've done that, you can ask them about your actual topic of interest. If it says you should get to know them better, rinse and repeat. I usually convince the local shopkeepers because they are always in their shops no matter the time of day and they'll always talk to you. Not only that but you can then reuse them for later convincings (always knowing where they are) and not have to befriend them again. Once you've befriended and asked three people about MorcuCorp, Report in. *** Into the Fire *** Description ----------- Ah, it is as I feared. But perhaps this will present an opportunity? Anyway, the documents have been deciphered and it's time to send you into the fire. Unfortunately for you, that is not a euphemism. MorcuCorp is interested in a strain of Flame Fruits that grow in the Tomb of the Burning Sands. I believe they plan to use it to help develop some kind of post-Atomic propulsion drive. Use this key to enter the tomb and gather some of these Fruits. It's bound to be hot in there so you might want to bring some Shower in a Can. ----------- Zoom way out, the tomb you are looking for is across the river in one of the three big pyramids. When you first get there, you'll have to inspect the wall under the front archway to find your way in. ========================TOMB - Tomb of the Burning Sands======================= You can leave the tomb any time that you have enough Flame Fruit. Head strait into the ruins and place the keystone into the slot by the door on your right. Hop into the well in this room and explore it. There's nothing in it but it will count towards a challenge that helps you explore wells faster. It will get you soaked which is more important right now. In the small hallway is a trap on the floor. You can either attempt to disarm it or attempt to cross it by clicking on it. Might as well try to disarm it because you can always attempt to cross it if you fail. Once you've gotten past the trap on the floor, jump into the next well and explore it to unlock the door out of this room. Also make sure that you clear the rubble in here. Go through the door. Stand on the tile in this next room to open a shortcut back out and then go down the stairs. At the bottom you'll find some flame fruit bushes. You'll want to harvest these and then a few more should grow back soon OR you could go deeper into the dungeon to find more flame fruit bushes! There are three statues right next to these bushes. Push the middle one out two spaces to first deactivate the trap and then get by the statue. Walk around the bend until you come to another group of three statues. Repeat the process of pushing the middle one out two spaces. On the right will be a well you aren't taking yet. Turn left and clear the rubble to loot a chest. At the end of the hall will be a tile to stand on. Now go back and explore the well. Swim through the tunnel when offered the chance to come out in another room. In this room are a bunch of fire traps and four statues, only two of which are moveable. Use the first statue you can move to turn of the traps by pushing it over them. Once you've done that, move the statue onto the gear tile. This will reveal a second gear tile which you can use the other statue that you just freed up for. Cover the second gear tile to reveal a standing tile. Once you've covered the three tiles, the door will unlock. Before you leave this room, one of the walls is colored differently than the rest. Inspect it to find a false wall. Behind the wall is a well. Explore the well to open the next false wall. Loot the chest in the next room and then head back to the door you unlocked with the statue puzzle. On the other side of the door you'll find all the flame fruit you could possibly need. Loot the chest in here. There are four walls in this room and they all have doors. Two you can see. The other two are hidden in the middles of the other two walls. Before you go through those, head through the door and up the stairs. Clear the rubble and loot the chest and then stand on the tile at the end of the hall. Don't leave yet, head back down the hall and down the stairs to the fruit room to explore the two false walls. The false door on the left (assuming you are looking at the chest) will lead to a hall with hidden fire trap on the floor. If you inspect the floor, it will reveal the trap and you can disarm or cross it. In the next room you can clear some rubble and grab some loot. There is also a large boulder in one of the side rooms which you can only crush after you've completed a tomb and collected Pangu's Axe from China. If you have it, collect the treasure. Now head through the other door and watch out for traps. There is a hidden trap on the wall between the first and second corners. In the second corner is a hole in the wall for you to inspect. Go down the hallway and enter the room at the end. In this room, take a look inside each of the coffins and then click on and clear each of the piles of rubble. The Rubble on the left side of the room in particular will reveal a hole in the wall which you should inspect which will shut off the second trap. Now explore the well. You'll come out in a room adjacent to this one. Stand on the tile in this new room. Go through the door you unlocked and loot the chest. This will reveal another standing tile next to the first one in the previous room. Stand on that one now. This will reveal a third tile and that tile unlocks the next door. Behind that door are some stairs. Go up the stairs to come to a semi-long hall. This will bring you back pretty close to the entrance. Head past the well, down the small hall and past the other well. Go through the double doors. Now you could head left to leave but I'd recommend heading right. In the room at the end of the entrance hall, there a bunch of coffins on the wall, a hole on the left corner and a gear tile in the right corner. Inspect the hole in the wall to reveal stairs. Before you go down the stairs, pull one of the statues onto the gear tile in this room to open a false wall into another room. Loot the chest in this small room. Make sure you check the coffins for loot and then head down the stairs you just recently opened. Once down those stairs there will be another chest for you to loot. Take the keystone. Insert the keystone into the slot by the door to open it. On the other side of the door is a room that forks. On the right you'll see a giant boulder that you can smash if you've collected Pangu's Axe from China. If so, loot the chest behind it. Otherwise, explore the well next to the boulder. This will open a false wall leading to the door. You may be thinking "that was dumb!" but this actually led you around a trap in the floor on the other side. Anyway, head through the door. In here are six chests and a coffin. Once you've looted the chests, a Mummy will come out of the coffin and attack you. If you have level 10 Martial Arts and athletic skill and have a decent amount of sparring experience, you MIGHT win the fight with this Mummy. If not, you'll pass out and may get cursed. Either way, once you loot all the chests, a false wall will open near the door you came in through. Head through it, clear the rubble and then head through the door at the end. Walk up the stairs and then stand on the tile to get a quick exit out of here. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Deliver the Fruit *** Digging Deeper *** Description ----------- Your effort in this endeavor is to be commended, but perhaps we can put it to better use. MorcuCorp believes Fahad Madbouli knows about some sort of old book that may contain precious information that we need. Go get this information. ----------- Ask about the ancient book. This is actually a convincing opportunity but just with a single person. Convince him to talk. *** The Ancient Library *** Description ----------- There is an ancient library hidden in a home in town. Inside, you will find a chest with the information you seek. You may need to befriend the owners of the house before getting access, just a thought. ---------- Conveniently, the sim that gave me the information was also the owner of the house that was on the tomb. If this isn't the case then find the tomb icon on the map, go to the house and befriend the resident there. Once you have, head to the center of the house where there is a yard and in the corner will be a hole in the ground. Inspect it to reveal stairs leading into the basement. =========================TOMB - The Library Under the Sands==================== Once down the stairs, you'll see a standing tile. Stand on it to unlock the door on the slanted wall. Go through the wall and in the next room will be a bunch of doors and a standing tile. If you stand on the tile it will unlock the door to your left. In this room is a gear tile and a single statue. Pull the statue out and then push it onto the tile. This will open the other door in the first room. So go back to the first room with the stairs and through the other door. In this room are two gear tiles but only one statue. Pull the statue out and then push it to the right. Head back across the first room to the second room with the many doors. The door behind you (assuming you're standing on it) should now be unlocked. If it's not, push that statue in the other room to the other gear tile instead. Go through this door and stand on the standing tile in the room. Go back to the first room with the stairs and head back across it to the room with the two gear tiles. Move the statue onto the other tile. This will open the last door in the multi-door room. Head back to the multi-door room and through the door you just opened to the right of the standing tile assuming you're on it. You'll come to a room with chairs and a table and stairs leading down. There's also a door in the corner of the room. Go through the door and loot the chest. Then head back out and go down the stairs. Loot the chests and you'll be done with the quest. Head back up the stairs. ====================================END TOMB=================================== Deliver the Ancient Book. *** Race to Nowhere *** Description ----------- Yes, this book describes three powerful relics left here by the old kings of Al Simhara. There's a lot of information that we can use to track down the final relic. Luckily I already know where another one is. Unfortunately so does MorcuCorp! There's no time to explain, but you must go to the merchant Sopdu Hawa before MorcuCorp' goons arrive and obtain the Relic of the Sun, which is in the merchant's possession. ----------- Head over to meet the sim and convince them to give you the relic. In this case you will have to be very friendly with the person, more so than most other convincing opportunities. Just keep working him over with friendly talk and then convince him. *** Race to Copper *** Description ----------- Ah, so Raffi Barakat wants me to hand over this Relic, eh? I have no use for it, but you do, which means there is value in the piece. I judge this value to be 5 chunks of copper. Bring me this and I will hand over the Relic. You had best hurry though, I may get a better offer! ----------- If you don't already have the copper then zoom out to the neighborhood view and track some down. Then head on back and deliver it. *** On the Side of Good *** Description ----------- TheCopper is much appreciated. I will put it to good use, unlike this Relic I've been hoarding for so long. Here, enjoy it. Take it back to whoever sent you here. Yes I know something is going on around here, don't take us locals for idiots! ----------- Deliver the Relic. *** Preparing the Bribe *** Description ----------- You have made the right choice helping me out. I will tell you the truth. I work for an organization that wants to stop MorcuCorp from exploiting this land. We could really use your help. If you want to sign on there's more work to be done. We need to buy you time to explore the next tomb, which means we must bribe MorcuCorp' henchmen. Explore the sands around town to find 2 pieces of Mummitomium with which to bribe the MorcuCorp goons. Bring that back to me. ----------- Unfortunately this is one of the most difficult parts of this journey. Zoom out to the neighborhood view and search the landscape. Make sure you look everywhere and hopefully you'll find the two pieces you need. Odds are you won't. There are multiple ways of finding the Mummitomium. 1) Look (which you probably already did) 2) Search through tombs and excavation sites (if you can find them) 3) Wait and hope that some respawns the next day. 4) Quit the opportunity and get it again at a later date and hopefully some will spawn. 5) Pick up gems and metals any way you can and hope that it causes Mummitomium to spawn. 6) Rummage through garbage cans. You can find all sorts of things in there. 7) If you're lucky, you can buy some from the Relics merchant. This won't be easy or pleasant. Everyone has trouble finding it and nobody has found an easy way yet. Once you've got the Mummitomium, deliver it. *** HQ Infiltration *** Description ----------- I've arranged for the Mummitomium to be deposited in a chest in the local MorcuCorp Headquarters. There shouldn't be anyone around to bother you. Problem is, the security systems will most likely be online... this could get hairy. Take this package of Mummitomium, deposit it, and watch your back. ----------- Head to the tomb icon on the map and when you get to the house, there will be a shed in the back with some gym equipment. Head into the shed. On the wall by the bikes is a hole. Inspect it to reveal stairs leading down. Go down the stairs =============================TOMB - MorcuCorp HQ=============================== At the bottom of the stairs, ignore the door and head down the hall. Disarm or cross the trap on the floor. Go through the archway and you'll find a couple sets of statues and a gear tile. Move one of the statues near the tile onto the tile to reveal another tile. Now move one of the other statues onto that tile and then descend the stairs you just revealed. Go through the door at the bottom of the stairs and disarm the trap. There's another hidden trap on the floor not too far ahead of the first one so be careful. When both traps have been taken care of, go through the door at the end of the hall. In the next room there are four chests. Loot all four and then insert the keystone you got out of one of them into the slot on the wall. Go through the false wall back into the room with the stairs to find a new tile on the floor. Stand on it to reveal a third hall. At the end of this new hallway is another door and behind that is another set of stairs that you should take. At the bottom of these stairs is another tile to stand on which opens a false wall. Go through the false wall and stand on the tile beyond that. This will open another door leading into the computer room of the HQ. In here are three chests. Loot all three and then open the glowing chest to deposit the Bribe for the Henchmen. *** Hacker! *** Description ----------- Sim receives a phone call from Raffi Barakat. "Good job with the bribe. Just leave it there and the henchmen will take care of the rest. Also I've hacked into the MorcuCorp mainframe. The information is there, but I cannot get it from my computer. Hack the commander's computer inside their HQ to find the location of the second relic. It should be a room with a computer all by itself. Be quick about it! ----------- Turn around and go to the back of the room. At the back you'll see a bunch of glass windows and a glass door. Go through the door to find the computer you are looking for. Hack it. Leave the room and then take the door out of the next one. Go up the stairs and stand on the tile at the top to leave. ==================================END TOMB===================================== NOTE: I don't remember actually getting asked if I wanted to accept this opportunity so it's possible that it just changed the previous one. *** The Second Relic *** Description ----------- Neo receives a phone call from Raffi Barakat. "Thanks for sending in the information. According to the data, the Tomb of the Desert Ocean is an underground oasis, a vast source of water for centuries. You must survive its depths to find the Relic of Life and return it to me. This is Raffi Barakat signing out." ----------- Once you are out of the tomb, zoom out to find the next tomb. Head over and when you are standing at the front door, inspect the giant slab to get in. Go through the double doors beyond that to get in. =======================TOMB - Tomb of the Desert Ocean========================= You'll find yourself in a room with a lot of water. After some looking you might wonder how you're supposed to do anything but remember that your sims can not only swim but they can climb out of the water without steps or ladders. So head over to the left corner and collect the Keystone and then loot the chest in the other corner. Go through the door on the chest side. In the next room, make your way over to the keystone by the door. Grab the keystone and head into the door. In the next room you'll find a darker spot of dirt ahead of you. It's a trap which you may not be able to disarm. You can either go back through the other door and into this room using the keystone or you can keep the keystone and attempt to cross it. Either way, when you get past the trap, continue through the door at the end. In the next room, walk down the hall a little to find a hole on the left wall. This will deactivate the trap on the other side of the wall and allow you to walk around and stand on the tile. Do so and you'll unlock the other door back in the hallway. However you don't want to go through that door yet. Go through the double doors just across from it instead. In the next room you'll find a steam trap to the far left and an semi-obvious false wall on the path leading right. Be careful though because there's also a trap on the same path. Deal with it and then make your way to the wall. Once you are through the wall, grab the relics next to the statue. As you make your way down the hall, there will be a hole in the floor that might be hard to see because it's in the center of an out of place tile and looks kind of like decoration. The hole is on the tile in the floor just before the third pillar on the right. This will open another false wall on the left. Go through the wall, loot the chest and then return to the hallway and proceed through the door at the end. In the next room will be a statue on a gear tile and further ahead is a standing tile. Don't worry about the statue, just stand on the tile to take care of the trap. Then jump in the well and explore. When you come out on the other side, you'll come to a room with a hole in the wall not far from the well and a statue and gear tile. Clear the two piles of rubble to reveal another statue/tile set. Push the first statue onto the tile by the locked door to unlock it. Loot the chest through the door. Now come back out. Move the statue that was under the rubble onto the second tile. This will reveal a third tile. Now move the first statue off of it's tile (which will relock the door) and move it onto the second tile. This will reveal a set of stairs leading downward. On your way to the stairs, inspect the hole on the wall by the well to open a false wall that will lead you back to the first room of the tomb. Now go down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, there is a false wall immediately to your right with a single piece of loot beyond. check for loot in the little nooks against the wall and then head across the hall to the door that the rug leads to. Go through and collect the items on the floor towards the middle of the room. In the back right corner will be a standing tile. Stand on it to reveal a false wall with a chest behind it. Check out the chest and then head back to the hall way. At the end of the hall are stairs leading down. Take them. At the bottom of the stairs, head to the right through the next two couple doors to come to a room with blue statues. Be careful in this room, you should stick to the carpets as best you can because there are hidden traps in this room. Inspect the statue towards the back and then push it strait left so that it'll go over the traps and deactivate them. This should reveal another trap in the back. Go around that and stand on the tile against the wall. Inspect the hole in the wall for some cash. If you'd like, you can smash the boulder if you have Pangu's Axe and inspect the room beyond for some decent treasure. Take the door on the left, walk down the hall (ignore the holes in the walls). At the end there is a false wall with some loot to the left and a door on the right. Grab the loot and go through the door. Grab the loot from the chest at the back and it will open a false wall and allow you to go up stairs to leave. You aren't leaving yet but head up the stairs and loot the chest in the hall at the top. Then head back down the stairs, through the big room and the hall all the way back to the room with the blue statues. You are NOT going through the other door yet. On the same wall but on the other side of the fans is a false wall. Go through it and then inspect the hole in the floor in front of the statue in the next room. NOW you can go through the door in the previous room. Head through that and then the door in the next room as well. Loot the chest in the next room. Now head aaaalllll the way back to the first room. Remember that other double door that you wanted to go through. You now finally have the keystone for that. Use the keystone and go through the doors. On the other side of the door will be a small room with three arches on the far side. If you take a left you'll come to a wall which is false. Loot the chest beyond. Go back into the previous room and through the three arches. Loot the chest, then pull both statues off of the tiles. Once both are off you can push one back on. Now inspect the hole. Head back out of this room and head to the double doors in the other room. You've reached the final room! There are three chests in the middle of the room which you should loot for the Relic you came here for. Once you've got that, you can leave or explore the four corners of this room for more treasure. On the left diagonal wall just as you come in will be an odd spot where you can inspect it. There are money trees in this room that you may be able to harvest. Make sure you check the ground for goodies too. Then return to the big room and check the diagonal wall just to your right as you entered. In this room there is a statue, a gear tile and a gem on a pedestal. Grab the gem and then do the following with the statue. Push it all the way to the back corner. Then go around to the other side of the statue and pull it once. Then go back around to the other side of the statue and push it once. Go back around the statue again and pull it all the way onto the gear tile. Two false walls will open, one leading back to the first room and another leading to a coffin. Inspect the coffin and the head back to the big room. Check the back left corner of the room for another false wall and grab the treasure in this room. Head back out and check the final corner of the room for the last false wall. Clear rubble as you go, make sure that you take the treasure from both chests. There's nothing left in this tomb. Make your way to the exit. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Now Deliver the Relic. *** Trading Shawarma for Information *** Description ----------- Incredible how you secured the second relic... simply incredible! Meanwhile I've been tracking down the final one with both the book and the data. I believe the town's Relic Merchant, Nabila Moussa, knows the location of the third relic. The merchant is an odd fellow though and a shrewd trader so it's doubtful the information will be easy to get. Pay the merchant a visit and try to obtain the information. ----------- Go meet the merchant and befriend them and convince them to talk about the third relic. *** Egyptian Cuisine *** Description ----------- Nabila Moussa appears to be quite interested in a free meal. They will share information with you, but only if you bring them a fresh plate of Shawarma. ----------- This isn't as bad as it could be. You're already in the market so head over to the food merchant and buy Shawarma (it'll be under "Prepared foods"). Deliver the Shawarma. *** The Third Relic *** Description ----------- That meal was quite scrumptious! You've earned the information you seek! You must go to the Great Pyramid to find the Relic of Eternity. You may want to pack extra food and supplies... ----------- Zoom out to the neighborhood view and find the Great Pyramid across the river. You'll know which one it is. Head there and then inspect the doorway to be let in. ==========================TOMB - The Great Pyramid============================= Walk down the entrance hallway and through the door at the end. In the big room with the six statues, pull the statue onto the carpet and it will open the wall in the back. Read the inscription on the relic and then collect it. Collect the other relic on the altar and the food from the chest. Go through the door on the left. In the next room, on the wall just before the traps, you'll notice that it changes patterns. Inspect the wall to open. Walk through the hallway behind it and on the inner wall, just before the corner, is a false wall. Inspect that and collect the keystone from behind it. Then head back into the hall and follow it to the end. Grab the keystone from the ground and inspect the hole in the wall to turn of the trap that sprung up behind you. Then return and insert one of the keystones into the slot by the locked door. In the next room you can collect some ancient coins in the far right corner. To get to the relic on the far left corner, you'll have to attempt to cross the big dart trap. If you fail, you'll fall asleep and not be able to try again for 30 minutes (game time). But you can always try again and once you cross it, the trap will deactivate so you can't get stuck there. Either way, once you're done in here, move through the door at the back of the room. You'll come to a largish room with a chest directly in front of you. Loot the chest and then head left. Go into the little fenced off area and there will be a hole in the ground that will turn off the dart traps that are surrounding the other hole in the ground. Use that hole in the ground. Then in the back of the room you'll find a gear tile next to the fans and a statue on the other side of a couple piles of rubble. Clear both piles and then pull the statue on to the tile. Go down the stairs that are revealed. At the, take a left and go through the arch into the next room. In this room, six niches line the sides of the wall and they have holes in the walls. First inspect the hole in the niche with the green light (the far right) which will deactivate all of the traps and unlock the door. Now you can inspect the other holes for treasure. Once done, go through the door at the back of the room and into a hall. On the left wall just before the corner will be a false wall. Inspect it and then collect the loot in this room. Mourn at the remains at the end of the room and a hole will appear in the ground with some ancient coins in it. Once done, leave this room through the false wall and continue down the small hall to the wooden door at the end. You'll come to a room with a gear tile surrounded with fire traps. You'll see a few statues, including one red one at the back of the room. Move the statue around so that you can PUSH it over the traps and onto the tile. Remember not to pull it over the traps but to push it. Once you activate the tile, another will appear beside it. There's another statue in a nook to the side of the door you entered through. Pull that one out of the nook and line it up to push it across the traps and onto the next tile. Stand on the last tile that is revealed. From where you're standing, the door in front of you will unlock. Before you leave, grab the gem from the nook on the other side of the door you entered through. Now leave this room through the door you just unlocked. In the next room you can clear rubble to the right, go through a door, clear some rubble and go through another door OR you could take the long way of inspecting the wall to the left, collecting treasure as you go through the hall and mourning at the four remains on the table at the end. Both of these will lead you to a room with Red floor sections in it. DO NOT WALK ON THE RED SECTIONS. This means you'll have to micro-manage your way to the end by directing your sim to the corner of each red section one at a time until you get to the door at the back of the room. Go through the door at the back of the room and then step on the tile in the next room. Continue through the door. Head into the hallway beyond and clear the rubble. Continue down the hall and around the corner. You'll find that you end up behind one of the locked doors from red statues and fire traps room. Don't go through the wall yet though. Just before the statues at the end of the hall will be a pile of rubble on the right. Clear the rubble to reveal a gear tile. There's a red statue at the end of the hall. It's a little tough to get it out. You need to do it a little at a time. First push the statue into either corner. Then go around the statue and pull it out of the corner. Then go around the statue again and push it into the next corner. Then go around on last time to pull it out of the second corner. Pull it down the hall a little and then push it onto the tile. You can now enter the big room in the middle again with all the fire traps. There is one more door in this room that you haven't checked. Go through the door and down the stairs. Walk down the hall and then move the only moveable statue out a little to reveal a hole in the wall. Inspect it to open some false walls. Collect the treasure from each one and then continue down the hall to the two doors. One of them requires a keystone but the other is already unlocked. Go through that one. You'll come to a room with displays on the right, a coffin in the back and a green light on the left. Look inside the coffin to recieve a keystone and then pull the torch in the green light to reveal a false wall. Don't go back and use the keystone. Collect the treasure from the altar and then go through the doorway right next to it. Walk down the hall, clear the rubble and then go through the door there. In the next hall way you can use the keystone to deactivate the traps or you can disarm or cross them yourself. You can pass them all without using the keystone and I say save the keystone. In the next room, collect the keystone in the middle of the room and then pull the statue by the gear tile onto the tile to unlock the door next to them. Go up the stairs beyond the door and before you go up the next set of stairs at the top, check the nook on the left for a relic and then possibly another behind the stairs leading up. Then go up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, use the keystone to get into the door directly in front of you. If you head to the island in the middle, there's a keystone under the tree. Collect that and then turn to the left to find 3 rooms. Go into the middle room of the three. Collect all the goodies. Be careful, a Mummy might come out of the coffin. There's a false wall in the back of the room and then theres another false wall in the middle of the wall beyond the first. This should land you in a tomb area. Mourn at the remains in the back row and push the statue back a space. A hole should appear in the rear wall and in the ground in front of the last row. Inspect them and then make sure you find the excavation spot near the middle of the room. Go back out into the marsh room and then check out the other two small rooms in here. Both should have treasure in them and coffins for you to check out. Leave those rooms and then exit the marsh room the way you first came in. NOTE: If you have Pangu's Axe, feel free to go through the next section. If you don't want to or don't have the Axe, skip this section and pick up after the four asterisks. ---- If you have Pangu's Axe, instead of going down the stairs, go through the door just to the right of it. Smash the boulder blocking your path and then stand on the tile to unlock the door ahead of you. Go through the door and loot the chest in the middle of the room. Pull one of the two red statues on the right out and onto one of the tiles. Then push the statue to the side so you can get by it and to the door beyond. Behind the door is a room with a coffin. Loot the coffin and check the wall on the right side of the room to open it. Clear the rubble on the other side of the false wall. Go up the stairs at the end of the hall. You'll find yourself in a golden room. At the end of the hall in front of the golden statue is different style tile with a hole in it. Inspect it. This will open the wall to the right and just after you go through it, loot the chest. Push the chest out two spaces, loot the chest and coffin. A Mummy will appear. Continue to the next statue, pull it out two spaces and then get behind it so you can pull it back those same two spaces but have you on the other side. Loot the chest here and then push the statue back out. Go back to the first statue and get behind it and pull it back so that you end up with the statue trapping you on the side with the false wall leading back inside. Now head back inside, down the stairs and make your way back past where the boulder once was. You should be in the room just before the marsh room. **** Go down these stairs and then the next set too. Go through the door at the bottom and back into the room where you got the Lodestone Keystone. Use the keystone you got upstairs on the door. Look on the floor, there's a giant skull! AHHH! ok, it's just tiles arranged in the form of a skull. Just under the skull is a standing tile. Stand on that and then inspect the hole in the left eye of the skull. This will reveal a hole in the right eye. Inspect that too. Before you go through the door, inspect the wall to the right of the door. Make sure you search the room thoroughly for all sorts of goodies. Mourn at all the statues and a hole will appear in the small part of the room. Inspect the wall by the pots and just left of the torch. Check the coffin then head back to the skull room and out through the door you unlocked. you'll come to a room with four small adjacent rooms. Go through them all and in the room with the rubble, inspect the yellow wall and collect everything behind that too. Then go back to the middle room and through the closed door. You'll come to the last room, two Mummies will come out of the coffins in the back. Before you move the statues, stand on the tile in the middle to kill the Mummies. Now pull out one of the statues so you can get behind it. Make sure you collect everything including from the coffins and especially from the chest in the middle. Once you have the relic you can leave. ==================================END TOMB===================================== I'm glad that's over. Deliver the Relic. =========================================================== ======================= Queen Hatshepsut chain ============================ =========================================================== *** In Search of Love *** Description ----------- In need of romantic advice and assistance in proving historical rumor for my friend. Zoom out and find the gems you are looking for and then Deliver them once you've found them. *** Teach Him to Cook *** Description ----------- I have another idea to aid my friend in love. I found this instructional book for preparing romantic foods, but my friend simply refuses to read it. Could you read this book, then go over the highlights with Ameen Moussa? ----------- Read the book he gives you, it'll be at the bottom of your inventory. It may take a while. Once you finish reading it, Teach the sim the Romantic Food. *** The Key to Her Heart *** Description ----------- You have read the book so you know how worthless it is. Anyway, while Dalida Barakat has been wasting our time, I've been doing some digging and found out that one of Queen Hatshepsut's secret lairs is beneath one of the houses in this very town! You should check it out for clues. ----------- Find the tomb icon on the map and visit the house. To get into the tomb, look on the left side (if you were looking at the front) and you'll find a hole in the ground and some discolored stone behind it. Inspect the hole. You have to be invited into the house before you can use the stairs that are revealed. Once you're down the stairs, look for a pedestal almost behind the stairs with a keystone on it. Grab the treasure from the room and then use the keystone you just got to open the door. Loot the treasure chest to get the keystone and then once you have it, report in with it. *** Love in the Servant's Quarters *** Description ----------- This key, I've seen this symbol before outside another area. I'll bet it opens up the servant's quarters for the Queen. There are sure to be more clues there. I'd like you to enter the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, explore the Servant's Quaters, and bring back and clues you find there to me. ----------- Zoom out to find the tomb and then visit it. On the left side of the building as you look up the stairs you'll find a tiny doorway with a small set of stairs leading into the first floor of the temple. Go through the door that sticks out further. You should see a glowing Keystone slot. Use the keystone and then go down the stairs. NOTE: Through the other door is another room with another keystone but it won't be glowing. This is the room with the nice furnishings and is not the right room. Go down the next stairs and at the bottom, go around the stairs to find a hall with six bedrooms connected. The first room on the right has a chest, the second room on the left has a hole in the wall, and both rooms on the end have false walls. Check the chest and hole and then go into the last bedroom on the right. Find the false wall at the head of the bed. Go through it and down the stairs behind it and then the next set of stairs too. Walk through the door and into the bedroom. Collect the loot from the glowing chest. Deliver the Relic *** Promoting Anwar *** Description ----------- Hmm, this isn't decisive proof yet but I will keep this relic and see what other secrets it holds. I'll get back to you on that. Meanwhile my friend still needs some help. Your previous efforts haven't helped him much but I have another idea. Perhaps you can use some of the foreign charm and tell at least 5 locals about Ameen Moussa and how they are so very awesome. And tell Ameen Moussa what you've done, as the reward will no doubt be grand! ----------- This isn't as bad as you think. Find 5 people, any 5 people, and spread the rumor. You don't have to be friends with them to do this so it should go pretty quickly. Once done, Report In. *** Love is Bazaar *** Description ----------- I thank you for the kind words, but I think I must make my own way in romance and not rely on the guidance of Dalida Barakat. Anyway Dalida Barakat found a keystone embedded in the relic you found. I've determined that the next secret hiding place for Hatsheput and Ramses is underneath the market itself. Shocking, I know! Find this secret basement chamber and deliver any clues you find in chests to Dalida Barakat. ----------- Follow the tomb icon and it should lead you pretty much to the door of the tomb but if you have trouble finding it, it's behind the adventurer's goods shop. It's in a small hut with a stack of lumber in it. There are stairs leading down to the actual Market Chamber. =========================TOMB - The Market Chamber============================= Go past all the stalls and down the stairs at the end. There's a chest in one of the side rooms at the bottom of the stairs and some Nectar in one of the others. When you're ready, place the keystone into the glowing slot. Go through the door and push the statue back one space. Inspect the hole in the ground behind it. Head back into the previous room and then to the far middle room. Go through the door there. Go down the stairs. NOTE: In this room with the three doors requiring keystones, the door on the right can be opened after you collect a keystone from the Queen's Chambers tomb. Feel free to return and loot a chest in the room once you have the keystone. NOTE: In this next area, all the doors will have colored tiles on the floor in front of them. Red tiled doors lead to treasure, the green tiled door leads to a standing tile and blue tiled doors lead you forward. You should use green doors first and then blue doors and go through red doors if you want the treasure. This information will get you through the next section no problem but if you want to try to understand the door by door walkthrough, go ahead. If not, skip to the section just after the asterisk. At the bottom of the stairs, go through the door with the red tiles. Go around to the right and go through the door at the end of the hall. In this small room you will find a chest. Loot the chest and then find the false wall. Head back to the stairs hallway and go through the green tiled door. Step on the standing tile behind this door and then head back to the previous room. Go through the blue tile door. At the end of the next hall there may be treasure behind the door to the right (red). Go through the left door (blue). Go through the door at the end of the next hall (blue). You'll come to a very small section of hall. Behind the door on the right is a chest and the door in front will lead to another room with doors. This room has a corner in it. Right in front of you is a blue door and there a red door around the corner. Collect the relic behind the red door and then go through the blue door. One last room, red door has a copper bar and the blue door leads to a different room with a door that was previously locked and some windows. * Go through the door and you'll come to a room with a large window and a tile for you to stand on. Stand on it and then go through the room that it unlocks. On the other side of the door is a tight fit. You'll come to a gear tile and have a statue on your right. Pull the statue onto the tile and then follow the hall all the way around the back, past the giant window with the glowing relic beyond it and to a door. Go through the door and push the statue onto the next gear tile. Go past the statue and come back around full circle. You'll see four doors now unlocked that you haven't gone in, two of which you can't reach yet. Go through either of the other two doors, go around the corner and through the second door to come to a room with a hole in the floor. Inspect the hole in the floor and then go out the other door and loop around to come out the fourth door. You are once again back where you started. Go through the door and into the hall where the statue is blocking the hall because it is sitting on the gear tile. Pull that statue one space back off the gear tile which should allow you access to the door if you come through the hall from the other direction. So go around the statue the long way by walking past the second statue you moved and around to this statue again. You'll be on the other side though and can reach the door that the statue blocked before. Go through that door and then the door in the next room. Go up the stairs in this windowed room. You are now out of that hell hole of a floor. There's a locked door and a hole in the hole on the right. Unlock the door by inspecting the hole in the wall and then head down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, pass the bathroom and go through the door. Loot the four chests here and now you may leave. With your keystone in hand, head back into the Market chambers. Go down the stairs twice and you'll end up at the three doors that all needed keystones, one of them is unlocked. Unlock the door on the right with your new keystone. =============================TOMB INTERMISSION================================= Deliver the Relic. *** Online Dating + Ameen Moussa = <3 *** Description ----------- This is most fascinating. There are hints of another place where these secret trysts took place. I will figure this out quickly now that I know what I'm looking for. For Ameen Moussa though I only have one hope left, online dating. I've already set up a profile online, all we need now is a picture of Ameen Moussa and we will just have to hope for the best. ----------- For this you will have to buy a camera, the one on your phone won't do. Thankfully they sell good cameras in Egypt. Go and buy a camera from one of the shop keepers in town, any camera will do and then take a picture of Ameen. Once you've done so, Deliver the Photo. *** Love Laid to Rest *** Description ----------- Dalida Barakat did what?! I won't stand for this. Please do not help me with my love life any more! I can't be helped, but Dalida Barakat can. There was indeed another keystone in the Relic you previously delivered, and we believe it leads into the Queen's personal chambers at her temple! If there is proof to be found, it will be found there. Please go check it out and bring back anything useful to Dalida Barakat. ----------- Go to the temple on get back onto the first floor of the temple like last time. Instead of going into the door you went into last time, go through the other door to find a nicely furnished room with a glowing keystone slot. Put the keystone into the slot. This will open stairs leading down. Make the stairs happy by going down them. =========================TOMB - The Queens Chambers============================ At the bottom of the stairs you'll find double doors the appear to lead in the direction of the servants quarters. Go through them and down the hall to a statue puzzle. You can only move the three dark statues and it's not as bad as it seems. Pull the middle statue out and then push the left statue toward the gear side wall. Then go behind the statue and pull it onto the gear tile. Now you can go back into the hall and follow the narrow path to the door behind the statue puzzle room. Go through the door and then through the single door after that. In this room you'll see a statue hidden away in the corner of the room and a gear tile at the other end. Cut through the room to get around behind the statue and pull it down the hall. Then pull the statue onto the gear tile to unlock the double doors in the previous room. Go back into the previous room, go through the newly unlocked double doors and you'll come out behind the throne area. Stand on the tile to reveal stairs and direct the sim down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, push the nearby statue onto the gear tile. Then find the other gear tile in the room and pull the far statue onto it. Go through the doors you unlocked and stand on the tile in the next room. This will reveal a third gear tile in the previous room. Pull either statue onto this near gear tile and then go down the stairs you reveal. At the bottom of the stairs go through the door to come to the library. Open the chest right in front of you. This will open a false wall to the left. Go through the wall and into a small room. Take a quick right into another room. Open the chest in the room to recieve a keystone and reveal a gear tile in the library. Go back to the library and pull the statue next to the tile onto it. This will unlock the double doors near the front of the room. Insert the keystone into the slot by the locked door. Go into the small room beyond and collect the keystone off of the pedestal and another from the chest in the room. Go back to the library and unlock the door at the other end with one of the keystones. Go up the stairs and loot both chests, especially the glowing one. Go up the stairs here and then stand on the tile at the end of the hall to exit. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Deliver the Relic. *** Nefarious Intentions *** Description ----------- MorcuCorp is looking for hardened adventurers for a few operations here in Egyupt. Please report to Hassan Badawi for more information. ----------- Report in to start this chain *** Preparing the Bribe *** Description ----------- You've made the right (and profitable) choice in signing up with MorcuCorp! I need money to buy off some officials in town but they refuse to accept perfectly legal Morcudollars! I'm far too busy to dig up the 10 hunks of Copper they want, but am willing to pay you to do so. What do you think? ----------- Zoom out and track down the Copper if you need to using the neighborhood view. When you have enough copper, Deliver it. *** Delivering the Bribe *** Description ----------- This will work out great! Let me just package this up in a standard MorcuCorp Bribe Box. One of the head merchants, Fatima Amin, will accept this bribe to pay off the workers. Deliver this package to Fatima Amin and he should give you some useful information, a location to be exact. This location will be where the "opposition" to our work here keeps most of their information. We need to get in there and find some things. ----------- Deliver the Bribe. *** Black Bag Job *** Description ----------- The bribe goes a long way to earning the support of the local merchants. As for the information you seek, the people who hate MorcuCorp have established a "secret base" at the edge of town. I believe Hassan Badawi wants you to infiltrate this base and steal information from their computers. I consider my effort in this complete. ----------- Make your way to the house that the tomb us under. Visit and get into the house and then make your way to the bathroom behind the staircase. Use the toilet to reveal a staircase in the living room. Go down the stairs. =============================TOMB - Secret Base================================ At the bottom of the stairs is a set of four tiles. You need to activate these tiles by stepping on them in the correct order. The correct order was revealed when you used the toilet upstairs as 2134. The top tiles are 1, 2, and 3 from left to right and the fourth tile is the tile that's back a row. Step on each one in the proper order to open all the doors. This will allow you to move through the four walls. Once you get past them, there's another staircase leading down. Go down the stairs. You'll come to another tile room with six tiles this time. The top two tiles are tiles 1 and 2, the next row from left to right is 3, 4, and 5 and the lone tile in the back is 6. To open all the doors and proceed you must stand on tile 1, 5, and 6 (assuming you are looking at the doors). If you mess up, the red tile at the back of the room will reset the tiles and doors. But just because it's there doesn't mean you messed up. Guess what! After you go down the stairs at the end of the hall you'll come to another six door puzzle with eight tiles. Start in the upper left, the first row being tiles 1, 2, and 3. Row two has tiles 4 and 5 and row three has tiles 6, 7, and 8. Stand on tiles 2, 4, 7 and 8 to open all the doors. Go through the doors and then down the stairs at the end. Go down the stairs and then turn around and go past the stairs into a very large room with computers and book cases. At the back of the room is a solitary computer that is glowing. Hack the computer and then loot the two chests behind the computer. Leave the way you came. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Report In. *** Spreading "Information" *** Description ----------- Excellent, we're sure to figure out their plans now. Let me digest this for a bit. I have a minor task that you can do in the mean time. It is time the locals understood how bad for business and growth this resistance is. If you could go explain this to 5 natives, that would really help our cause a bit. ----------- Unfortunately you have to convince five locals this time. Go into town and start befriending people. Once you get them to like you a little bit, give them information about the resistance. Do this with five people and then report in. *** The Contract *** Description ----------- I hear your disinfo... err education campaign has improved the natives' outlook towards MorcuCorp while costing the Resistance a lot of popularity! Now is the time to move on some of these lucrative contracts that we want. Stop by the relic Merchant's store and convince him to accept a contract with MorcuCorp. You may need to butter them up a bit first. ----------- Go to the Relic Merchant and then chat them up. You are really going to have to get on the merchants good side before they sign the contract. Once you've really gotten the merchant to like you, talk about the contract. *** The Contract *** Description ----------- Well you seem to be a very nice person Mr. Sim. Unfortunately I can't honor the first shipment of this contract. If I had 3 pieces of Turquoise I could make some "relics" real fast to ship to MorcuCorp. Honestly they wouldn't even know the difference. Do this for me and we both will be rewarded. ----------- Zoom out to the neighborhood view to find the gems you need if you don't have them already and when you get them, deliver them to the merchant to finish. *** The Contract *** Description ----------- Thanks for all your help! I'll get these processed and sent right out. You should return to your employer and let him know he can expect a steady stream of Egyptian relics to roll out to him on schedule. ----------- Report In. *** A Friend to the Natives *** Description ----------- I have that friendly people tend to have more friends. Those with friends tend to have parties, and for parties to be successful they require food. As I am in the business of food, this is good for me. I will pay a good amount of Simoleons to anyone who befriends an Al Simharan. Come to Sopdu Hawas for payment! ----------- To get credit for befriending a native, you have to become a Good Friend with them instead of just a friend. Then Report in. *** Trapped at Home *** Description ----------- In search of a brave soul/adventurer to disarm the traps in my basement. It appears an ancient tomb exists underneath my house and therefore, in my new basement. A fee paid in Simoleons will be paid upon disbarment of the final trap. Serious applicants only. ----------- ============================-TOMB - Trap Nexus================================= Go visit the proper house and make your way into the back yard. The stairs are in the yard and have already been revealed for you. Go down them. At the bottom of the stairs, you'll see a bunch of traps with a piece of wall just before them. Use the hole in the wall to disarm the traps and head through the door In the next room, clear the rubble in the middle room and under three of them are holes that you can inspect to disarm traps. The room off of this one that you can see contains a star keystone. Head into the room but be careful, there are two traps in here. One is the dark spot on the floor and the other is on the wall. Disarm or cross the trap on the wall and then the floor. Collect the keystone and use it on the door off to the side to unlock it. In this room are four fire traps. Walk up to the hole in the wall to activate a steam trap. Jump in it and then cross the fire traps on either side to turn them both off. After you've crossed over one of the first two traps, there will be another hole on the inner wall before the second trap that will turn that trap off. Turn off all four traps and then collect the loot and keystone that are residing under the pile of rubble. Once you have all of that, go back and activate the steam trap one more time and cross it to disarm it. Now go use the lodestone on either door. In the next room there are a lot of traps. Find the traps on the out wall just in front of you. There will be a hole in the wall just beyond them. Disarm the trap on the wall and then inspect the hole to turn off another trap. Now on the wall in the middle of the room is another hole. Inspect that hole to disarm the floor traps. Go over to the other side of the room and disarm the other wall trap. Inspect that hole to disarm the final trap in the room. Head into and through the next room to a room with nine giant red tiles in it. Only step on these tiles. Start on the left tile, then go up a tile to the left tile of the middle row. then walk across the middle row to the right tile of the middle row. Now walk onto the right tile of the last row and off of the tiles. Go through the door on the right and open the chest to deactivate the last of the traps in the basement. You can now leave safely. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Report In *** The Age of Copper *** Description ----------- This is Nabila Moussa, the local Relic Merchant. I find that my stores have drawn low and I need Copper with which to make imitation pieces. The tourists won't know the difference! Bring me 12 Copper and I shall reward you with some simoleons. Perhaps a bonus? ----------- Zoom way out and find your Copper scattered over the landscape. It shouldn't be hard to find it if you don't already have it from exploring. Deliver the Copper and be done. *** A Bit More Copper *** Description ----------- This is Navila Moussa. The Copper you brought me before has run out and I need more as soon as you are able to deliver it. Bring 5 Copper to me and I'll make it worth your while! ----------- Do as you did before to collect the copper and then Deliver it. *** Missing Relic Believed to be Lost *** Description ----------- A Relic known as The Moonbelly Sphinx was last seen traveling at a very low speed within a tomb that Nepthy Hawas was recently exploring. If found, please return this item. A fee in Simoleons and Ancient Coins will be exchanged for compensation. ----------- This Relic is in the Tomb of Discovery. You should have already done this tomb in which case walk into the first room with two doors and a chest. It's just on the other side of the door on your right. *** Tombs: When Not to Raid *** Description ----------- The Al Simhara Council for Safe and Fun Tomb Exploration would like to create a pamphlet warning potential adventurers of the dangers of tomb exploration. Any adventurers willing to be Torched, Soaked, and Cursed (in that order!) will recieve Visa Points and some cash up return to . ----------- To get torched or soaked you will need to activate trap and to get cursed you will have to get cursed by a Mummy that you lost to. I wouldn't recommend getting cursed because your sim can die from the curse. Unfortunately I don't know what tombs you've explored but you can look through any of the TOMB sections of this guide and find one you haven't gone through yet, find the a section with a trap and do it yourself. *** Tomb Tours *** Description ----------- The Al Simhara Cartographers Union (Local #458) is in search of an aspiring adventurer to explore the local tombs. Please visit the Great Pyramid, Sphinx, the Ruins of Karnak, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Pyramid of Wind in order and report to Fatima Amin to earn some Visa Points and a cash bonus. ----------- This is actually fairly easy. Just Zoom out to the neighborhood view. Look for the orange Tomb icon to lead you to the first place, the Great Pyramid. Click on it and then wait for your Sim to get there. Once they get there and have visited the site, another spot will appear for you to go to. Click on the tomb icon again to go to that spot. Rinse and repeat until you've visited every site allowing you to "Report In." *** The Society's Lost and... Found? *** Description ----------- The Al Simhara Historical Society has lost the ancient and precious The Chilldean Insanity Relic on an expedition in a tomb. The Society will pay a substantial reward to anyone who recovers the item and delivers it to Abdul Kamel. ----------- This quest will take you to the Copper Quarry. Use the neighborhood view to find the tomb. ===========================TOMB - The Copper Quarry============================ Go down the stairs into the Copper Mines. In this first room is a lot of treasure, most of which is covered by rubble. Feel free to clear the rubble but none of it is necessary. There is a little island room in the middle of this bigger room with a locked door. On the wall just next to this locked door is a hole in the wall. Inspect the hole and then go through the door. Go down the stairs and you'll see a chest glowing in the back. Loot the chest for the item you want. Loot this room if you like and then head through the only door in this room. In the next room you can find a keystone, a chest and some more rubble. Grab the keystone and you may now leave to turn in the relic or you can continue with me and I'll show you the rest of the tomb. Go back to the main part of the quarry and use the keystone to unlock the door there. Go down the stairs, clear the rubble and loot the chest. Go through the door in the back and if you have Pangu's Axe, smash the boulder. Otherwise you can just leave now. After you smash the boulder, go down the stairs and then follow the hallway to a room at the end. Clear the rubble and then inspect the wall between the two torches to find a false wall. Smash the boulder here and then the only way to get across the gap is to zeneport or use tranquil transference. If you can, do so and collect the treasure. If you can't then you can always do it later with ease anyway. ==================================END TOMB===================================== NOTE: Here are the few tombs that I can't get adventures to appear for so I'm just going to do the guide for them anyway. ==========================TOMB - Pyramid of the Wind=========================== Inspect the front door to get in. There's only a chest in the first room. Head through either archway into another section that's really just one giant room divided by a wall. In the right half of the room, there will be a hole in the ground in the little enclosed area. Inspect it and then inspect the hole in the wall in the corner of the room. There are three sets of stairs to go down now. Go down the stairs in the rear middle of the room. This will lead down to a small room with three chests and some treasure. Collect the treasure and return up the stairs. Now go down the stairs in the half of the room with the two holes you inspected earlier. Collect the keystone here and then head back up stairs. Head down the last set of stairs. Yep, that's the entire tomb ==================================END TOMB===================================== ===========================TOMB - Ruins of Karnak============================== To get into the dungeon, just visit the site of the ruins and you'll find stairs somewhere near the middle leading down. At the bottom of the stairs, collect the treasures, inspect the hole in the ground and collect bugs if you like. That's all there is to the tomb ==================================END TOMB===================================== =============================TOMB - Abu Simbel================================= When you show up, you'll have to donate to the temple to get in. One pedestal will want a relic, any relic should do, and the other will want something from the stars. Good luck finding a space rock. When you finally have one, donate it and you can get in. Go through the door on the left and you'll come to a room with statues. Swim through the well. On the other side pick up the keystone and inspect the hole in the floor just beside the pedestal. Use the keystone to unlock the door in this room. Go down the stairs. In this room you'll see a bunch of standing tiles. Stand on the right one to light a torch, stand on the wrong one and light a trap. Light all four torches to unlock the door. Except for the group to the left of the locked door, all the other correct tiles are the inner tiles (closest to the well). On the left side of the room is a false wall. Go in and kick the flamingo. Head back out and through the door you unlocked. Grab the chest and then head back and go through the door on the right side of the room. In this next room, follow my instructions carefully. Pass the first pedestal by following the red path. At the second pedestal, change to blue. At the third pedestal stay on blue and then switch to red at the fourth pedestal. At the fifth pedestal, change to blue and then stay on blue until the door. In the next room, loot the chest and then put the content from the chest onto the pedestal to the left. This will kill the fire trap and allow you to get to the Eye of Horus. Use the eye to teleport but don't pick it up. Open the blue chest and take the contents and then use the eye to teleport back. Open the door in here that you haven't opened yet. Immediately turn around and go through the door right next to the one you just came through. Place the contents from the blue chest onto the blue pedestal here. You can now collect the two eyes of Horus and then go through the door into the room the connects these two rooms. In each niche is a tile. You want to step on them in reverse order, starting with four and ending with one. In each niche is a sign that tells you which number tile it is. This will open four false walls. Go through them all. In the next hall, there is a door at the end of the hall to the right as well as two other doors. Go through both of those doors to reveal the red and blue rooms. Put an eye of Horus in each room. Start with one room, pull the torch and then teleport to the other room and inspect the hole that it reveals in the opposite room. Now do the same thing in reverse. Use the two keystones you just got from the holes to open the chests in each room. Collect your eyes. Now go through the third door at the end of the hall. You'll find two patches of colored tile in the room. Put an eye of horus on each one. then start on one side, pull the torch, then teleport to the other side and pull that torch. This will reveal two standing tiles. So stand on the tile you are already on, then teleport to the other side and stand on that tile. Collect both eyes of Horus before you leave. In the next room you'll find a rug at your feet. Drop an eye here and then travel to the end of the room and collect the loot from the chests. Use the other eye from your inventory to teleport to the first eye. It's about time to leave, but not quite. Go back to the room with the two colored paths. Go into the room that originally had the eye of Horus. The wall next to the two doors is false. Inspect it and you'll be outside the red and blue paths. Drop an Eye of Horus here and then push the statue all the way back into a niche. Walk to the end of this path and there's a gear tile at the end. Place another eye here. Now use the two eyes to teleport back and forth so you can get around the statue and move it over to the gear tile. Once you get it on the gear tile, inspect the hole in the wall for a relic and then collect both eyes and continue heading up to the exit but still don't exit yet. Go all the way up to the ground floor but don't exit yet. Hop back into the red well and swim back over to the blue one. Drop an eye of Horus on the ground and then go over and pull that out of place statue onto the gear tile. Use the other eye to teleport over to the first. Pick up the eye and then go through the door that was once locked. Make sure you have both eyes and then go back through the well and then use the standing tile to exit the tomb. ==================================END TOMB===================================== =========================TOMB - the Great Sphinx=============================== To get in, examine the front door. Walk into the first room and strait onto the standing tile. While it seems like this didn't do much, it actually gave you access to the water which will let you jump in and swim to the other side. Do this and push one of the statues out. Push it past the first gear tile and in front of the second one. Go around the gear tile and push it out over the traps. Once you've disarmed the traps, push the statues onto the two gear tiles. Pull one of the other two statues out so you can get around behind it and past the wall. On the other side of the wall, collect the four treasures and then stick your hand into the two holes you opened in the floor. Then proceed down the stairs. Behind the stairs are some lightning traps so be careful when collecting loot. To the left of the stairs is a false wall. It falls between the two water pits. Open it and walk into the next room. Collect treasure from the shelves. To get to the chest, pull the first statue way out and then pull it off the wall. Then pull the next statue way out and then go to the third statue that's sticking out and pull it one space. This should get you to the chest. Head back out to the room with the stairs and then leave the room through the door. Walk down the hall and read the inscription on the wall by the door to unlock it. Go through the door, check out the three coffins and then jump in the purple well. This will open a false wall in the room. Go through it and down the long hallway. Go through the door. Collect the money in this room and then look at the wall with the fans. To the right of the fans is a segment of wall without the blue stripes. Inspect it. In the bathroom, collect the keystone and then to the right of the toilet is another false wall. Go through it and clear the rubble in the next room to collect another keystone. Head back to the meeting room and then unlock the door with one of the keystones. Crazy statue moving time. Pull the first statue you can reach way out so you can go around it. Behind it is another statue. Push this one back two spaces. take a left and pull that statue out one space so you can get to the five statues behind it. Push one of the two statues back onto the traps to disarm them. Then pull the statue that was next to it onto the spot where the other statue started (before you pushed it on the trap. Now pull the middle statue back to where that last statue was. Now go back around and past where this statue was. Push the next statue back one space so you can step on the standing tile. Now that the traps are deactivated, move statues around and collect treasure if you like. In the area behind behind you (if you're on the standing tile) there is a false wall. Inspect the wall. When you're done collecting treasure, head up the stairs. Go up the big stairs in the next room. At the top, clear the rubble, collect the loot including a keystone. Go through the door. Collect the Soulpiece gem in the back right corner and then view the statue in the room in the middle to finish this tomb. Head back to the previous room and down the stairs. On this floor, clear the rubble, collect the loot and then proceed through the door that was previously covered by rubble. Stand on the tile and now you can leave. ==================================END TOMB===================================== Contact Information [xxContactxx] ==================================== I would love to hear from you. I recieve very little information about how my guides are doing which is bad. Maybe everybody loves my guides and doesn't feel the need to gripe or maybe they're so bad that people don't bother with trying to help. Either way, I know that my guides aren't perfect and have room for improvement and I need your help for that. If you liked the guide, let me know. Let me know if you liked my sorting system or if it was easy to find what you wanted to find or tell me that the insane wall of text was useless to you. Whatever it is that you think could help me with future guides, even if it's just a pat on the back or whack upside the head, please do so. Two rules though - Please be polite, these guides take a very large amount of time and effort. And Please include the game title "Sims 3 WA" in the subject or I will likely not read it. To contact me, my e-mail address is [email protected] (minus the dashes). Credits [xxCredsxx] ====================== JKSullivan - [xxJKSulxx] Sullivan totally bailed me out of possibly my most frustrating flaw in this guide. They pointed me to the crescent keystone in the Dragon Cave as well as pointing out the hidden door just before that keystone and the pile of rubble by the stairs just before the room with the four statues. Thanks [xxThanksxx] ======================= This is where I will list the people I appreciate for the contribution to the guide or for their kind words. py_nut JKSullivan Legal [xxLegalxx] ==================== This guide is copywrite me, ExtremePhobia (Brandon Fusco), 2010.
