With the keyboard, move the left and right buttons to make Sam go left and right. Press down to duck, and control to jump. With the joystick, move it left or right to make same go left and right. Press Button 1 to have Same jump. If you duck and jump at the same time, Sam does a spin attack. Game Controls ------------- Press the spacebar to pause the game. Press Shift + F5 to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode. Press Shift + F7 to make the game screen bigger or smaller, depending on what screen resolution you have. Press Shift + F8 to make the game screen bigger or smaller, depending on what screen resolution you have. 004-Walkthrough --------------------------------------------------------- This game starts with a brief cutscene, which you can skip with the escape button. After that, there is the main menu, which has six options. PLAY This lets you start the game, on level one. PASSCODE Enter a passcode here to start on a specific level. Type out the passcode on your computer, or use the up/down buttons on the screen. The last passcode that Pajama Sam has unlocked will automatically appear here, so you don't have to write all of them down. OPTIONS This gives you four options. One, you can give yourself unlimited lives. Two, you can get rid of all the obstacles that Sam must jump over or dodge. Three, you can make it so the obstacles only spin Sam around, as opposed to sending him back to the left. Fourth, you can decrease the level of detail in the backgrounds. CREDITS This lets you see the names of the people who made the game. HIGH SCORE This lets you see the ten highest scores recorded on the game. QUIT This lets you quit playing the game. --- The game itself has 100 levels, and they are all very similar. Sam rides to the right, until he reaches the end of the level. To make Sam jump higher, hold down the jump button, instead of pressing it once. To make Sam go faster, move him to the right. The farther he is to the right, the faster he goes through the screen. To get through a level, you need to pick up all of Pajama Sam's items, listed in the lower/left corner. Whenever you get an item, a red check mark will be put over it, to indicate that you picked it up. If you miss an item, Sam will automatically replay the level. Besides the items Sam needs to collect, the levels also contain green pieces with numbers on them. Touch one, and that number is added to your points total, in the upper- left corner. The upper-right corner displays the top high score on the high score list, so you can always compare your current score (in the upper-left) to the high score. There are three special items scattered through the stages, too. The first one is a pair of wings. This makes Sam fly for a brief period of time. If Sam runs into an enemy while flying, he stops flying. The stars item makes Sam invincible for a brief period of time. Enemies will be unable to hurt Sam when he gets this power up. The third item is a picture of Sam's face. This gives you an extra life. The life meter is on the top of the screen, in the middle. You lose a life whenever you hit obstacles and enemies. If you turn on infinite lives on the options menu, it is impossible to lose a life. The enemies which do NOT cause Sam to lose a life are water-based enemies, like geysers, whirlpools and steam. Those enemies just spin Sam around for a little while. The way to avoid enemies is to jump over them, or to duck and jump at the same time, in order to do a spin attack to destroy them. There are six "bonus" pieces on every level. Sam says, "I picked up a bonus piece" when he touches one. If you collect all six on one level, you get to play a bonus round once the level is over. --- As said earlier, you complete a level by going all the way to the right. You must get all the items displayed in the lower/left corner, or else when you reach the end of the level, you start over again. When you complete a level, you go to the bonus screen. The bonus screen gives you points, depending on three things. First, it gives you points, depending on how many green point boxes you picked up. If you pick up all of the green point boxes in a level, you get extra points. Second, if you got through the level quickly, you get points for "bonus time". The faster you go through the level, the more bonus time you get. Third, the bonus screen tallies how many bonus puzzle pieces you got. You get points for each one. If you got all six bonus puzzle pieces on the level, you can play one of the three bonus games. The bonus game on the left is "Bop a Prize". In this game, items pop out of holes, and you need to click on them before they go back down into their holes. If you get 100 in a row, you get bonus points. Once you miss out on five items, the game ends. The bonus game in the middle is "Pick a Card". You need to select two cards, and if they match, you get bonus points. You're shown a picture of all the cards beforehand, so do your best to remember which cards are the matching ones. Mess up five times, and the game ends. The bonus game on the right is "Bucket 'o Prizes". You need to move the bucket left and right, in order to have it catch the prizes which drop from above. If you miss five items, the game ends. You can avoid playing the bonus games if you want to, by clicking on "GO" on the bonus game selection screen. You can also press "escape" during a bonus game to exit it. --- There are five different worlds in this game: the river, the mine, the north pole, the factory and the neighborhood. Levels 1-20 take place in the river world. In these levels, Sam rides across the river with his friend Otto. This world is designed to resemble the Land of Darkness from the first Pajama Sam game. Levels 21-40 take place in the mine world. In these levels, Sam rolls across the mines with his friend King. This world is designed to resemble the mines from the first Pajama Sam game. Levels 41-60 take place in the north pole. In these levels, Sam slides across the ice, with a new character, a sled named Rosie. This world is not based off any of the Pajama Sam games. Levels 61-80 take place in a factory. In these levels, Sam cruises through the area, with Mr. Forklift. This world is based off of the second Pajama Sam game. Mr. Forklift didn't have any lines in that game, and he doesn't have many lines in this game. Levels 81-100 take place in the neighborhood. In these levels, Sam rides across the street with a new character named Trigger. This world is not based off of any of the Pajama Sam games. The game has special passcodes for the five worlds, so you can easily travel to whichever world you want. River World: HELLO Mine World: SUPER North Pole World: WACKY Factory World: NIFTY Neighborhood World: FUNNY Other special passwords include...
