| What is O2Jam NX? |
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\

O2Jam: the New eXperience is the game for the one with the musical mind. It
has the balance of story, game-play, and the lifespan. The name is composed
of the words O2, meaning oxygen, and Jam. Oxygen is needed to live, so too
is Music. The two things are everywhere and ever-present.

The new feature in the O2Jam NX is the Skill Rings. The power to create
challenges is yours with the rings.

| Game Story |
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\

At the fringe of 'Galaxy-NGC1512', approximately 3000 light years away from
Earth, an undiscovered star-system named 'Muracle' exists. 10 unique planets
constitute Muracle. Each planet had developed its own civilization and unique
culture in a peaceful environment. One day, unidentified organisms were
detected in Muracle. The dragons from the planet Draconic who were in charge
of monitoring Muracle took it upon themselves to examine these mysterious
organisms.

Upon initial investigation, they found nothing harmful about these cute
creatures. While the examination of the new organisms was proceeding, people
in Muracle started to raise these harmless creatures as pets. Some people
even began befriending them; eventually those creatures were named Ohms for
the purr-like sound they made. The Ohms were so readily tamed because they
had lovely traits that the people of Muracle found attractive. Soon the Ohms
multiplied and could be found everywhere.

Some time later, Muracle was gradually losing its balance; the planet
Eliten's scientists discovered that the Ohms were sent from Muracle's rivals
the Geracle star-system. As the Ohms had been accepted as a part of society,
they were easily found all over the planet. It was later found out that the
people of Muracle became depressed and un-energized when the Ohms emitted
their purring sound which were in fact low frequency waves.

Knowing this the leaders from each planet gathered together and discussed a
plan to free the planets from this crisis. Eventually they discovered that
the planet O2 was the only planet that was not affected by Ohm's
low-frequency emissions. They also discovered that Ohm's weak point was
the O2 (Oxygen) generated when O2's people played in musical jam sessions.
The leaders from O2 were requested to save Muracle from the crisis and to
do this they formed a special team called the 'Muracle Rangers.' Their task
was to liberate the other planets from the Ohms influence as quickly as
possible.

Step by step on the Gameplay Know-How: \
----------------------------------------------------------------------------\

Select Planet (Server): For now there is only one planet available. The O2
			Planet+.

Select MusicHall (Sub- server): Select one of six servers. All are
				"F2P FOREVER" servers.
(Malaysian O2Jam) There is only one F2P Server.

Select Channel: The right side displays the Notice, and the Channels when you
pick one MusicHall. Select one of twenty channels, all
accomodates 50+(?) players then click "Enter".

The Lounge: You may perform different functions from here:

Select Gameroom: Choose from the displayed rooms. You may filter room display
		 by clicking the following:

Waiting: Displays rooms that are not playing at the moment.

ShortCut: Automatically enters a waiting room.

Create: You may create a Gameroom with this. There are 4 types of
		Gamerooms:

		1. Single Room: Only you can use this room.
		2. VS Room: This is the room that 2-8 persons can play.
		3. Album Room: This room plays albums (song sets).
		4. Couple Room: In this room, the notes are split,
enabling two people to play at the same
time. Clearing a song in this room lies
on the cooperation of the partners.

Enter Music Shop: The Music Shop is where you can download songs using Gems
(O2Jam NX's Currency) or EP (E-Games Credit). Each
Purchase is made by downloading the song.

Enter Item shop: A.K.A. Avatar Shop. This is where you can buy Avatars. There
are many categories within the shop:

		1. Special Shop: Sells Seasonal Items.
		2. Fasion Shop: Sells Upper-Lower body Items.
		3. Accessory Shop: Sells Accessories for the Upper-Lower body.
		4. Beauty Shop: Sells Hairstyle and Face Image.
		5. Instrument Shop: Where the instruments are sold complete
		   with their accessories.
		6. Skill Rings Shop: Skill Rings are sold here, with different
durabilities ranging from 10 to 50 uses.

Enter Gameroom: Either you create or enter a room will do this. If you are
Captain (Room Master), you have the privilege to select a Song,
Jam Arena, Arena Effects, and Skill Rings. If a Captain uses
Skill Rings, it will affect all users in the room when playing.

Loading Screen: This shows the song cover and credits of the ones who made it.
(Music Composers, Notecharters, and Image Designers)

Jam Arena (Playing Field): The Objective is just like Beatmania+DDR.
Just time the notes at the red target bar at
the bottom. Press the corresponding keys so the notes
will be hit and played. Accuracy can affect the game:

Controls: Hit Status:

	Outer Left: Key S
Cool: 80% of the note is hit on the Red Bar
	Middle Left: Key D
Good: 50-79% of the note is hit on the Red Bar
	Inner Left: Key F
Bad: 49% of the note is hit on the Red Bar
	Center: Space Character
Miss: Note TOTALLY misses the Red Bar
	Inner Right: Key J

	Middle Right: Key K

	Outer Right: Key L

There are also repititions and freezing of notes that gives the feel of
DDR+ BeatMania.

Skill Rings: A new addition to O2Jam NX is the appearance of Skill Rings.
These rings MASSIVELY affect gameplay, as it can bend the game's
elements to the extreme. Here's the list of Skill Rings:

I will be dividing the list into two according to element control:

Order group:

Mirror: "By wearing this ring everything you see will be reversed.
Dare you take the challenge of playing while wearing this ring?"

This ring affects the notes by applying mirror effects. If one note
is played on the left side, with the ring activated, the note will be
played on the right side. The only note not affected by this ring is
the yellow note, defaultly played with the spacebar.

Random: "You never know what to expect when you wear this ring. Anything could
happen. Experts favour this ring because its unpredictability will
	give them new challenges."

This ring can fail players who memorizes notecharts since note patterns
are randomly placed in the song. The core of this ring is just to
randomize where the PATTERNS of the notechart fall. Putting this into
mind puts you to the advantage since only the patterns, not the notes,
	are randomized.

Panic: "Keep your fingers crossed if you start playing with this
ring activated. The notes will not be as you remembered them.
The Ring of Disorder will shuffle the notes as it would a deck of cards."

The most feared ring, the Panic ring. It can be your friend or your foe.
This ring can randomize EVERY NOTE in the song, making gameplay really
challenging. Experts favor this ring since they can do the so-called
"note-reading" technique, they can easily make playing with this ring
	a breeze.

Visual group:

Hidden: "You had better have memorized the song well for this ring will
cause the notes to blink in and out causing even the songs you're best
	at to become exceedingly difficult."

This ring destroys the visual perspective of gameplay. This ring conceals
the notes as they pass halfway from the note column. The notes
remain concealed even when they pass the red bar. A way to get
through this challenge is to memorize the rhythm and the note pattern.

Sudden: "Preparation time is cut in half when this ring is used. This
ring will render the notes invisible until it falls to the
half way point of the column."

This one is not for the ones who can be easily surprised by sudden
appearances. This packs a lot of sudden surprises since it renders
all notes hidden until they go halfway in the middle of the note
column. Again, memorizing the rhythm and the note pattern is one
of the ways to get through this challenge.

Dark: "The opposite of the Instant Ring and the Ring of the Moment, the
Ring of Shadows will hide the notes when they reach the halfway point."

This is the combination of BOTH Hidden and Sudden rings, since it
only displays the notes once they are halfway. before and after that
is a complete BLANK. Not just memorizing the rhythm and note
pattern will be the things to do for you to pass.

All rings have durabilities which decreases by one each time you use
it to play a song. Skill Rings' prices ranges from 5EP for
the 10x and 50EP for the 50x.

~ By ross of O2Jam International (htp://www.o2jammer.com). Shows the recap of
  her guide "BPM and You":

Songs are made out of a number of "measures," which are indicated in o2jam
as grey lines in the play area.

Measures are made up of "beats," of which there are four in each measure.

BPM stands for "beats per minute," and its value gives you an idea how fast
  the song is.

"Adjusted BPM" is the actual BPM multiplied by the speed modifier and gives
you an idea how fast the notes are coming down.

It is a good idea to find a "comfort zone" for your adjusted BPM, that way
you always know which speed modifier to pick for every song in the game!

~ Practice makes Perfect, somehow. Practice and eventually, you'll get good.

~ Try to make a pattern of a part of a song. Patterns are made by knowing
what note will start a combo in a part. Otherwise, MEMORIZE the song.

~ "Calmness is the Music of the Mind". Stay calm and try not to be frustrated
by the notes, it will just make you perform badly.

| Frequently Asked Questions |
/----------------------------------------------------------------------------\

Q: Why there are pills and what are their uses?

A: The Pills appear when you get combos, exactly after attaining 15 consecutive
COOLs. They are automatically used when there are BADS. They prevent the
combo counter from restarting. To use them, simply continue to play the
note even when you know that it will give a BAD. The pills, located at
the Upper Right side of where the notes will fall, Will counter the
conditions of a BAD and turn it to a COOL-hit note. Cool! Right?

Q: Why I always become a poring-like (Ragnarok Online Monster) figure?

A: You are not trying harder. There is a "life system" in O2Jam. You play good,
the life will not deplete, and play bad, your life will. Consecutive MISSES
can greatly decrease the Life bar. When your life went zero, blue swirls you
and your character will transform into a Ohm, the poring-like figure ^o^.
Turning into a Ohm will restrict you from playing anymore, except in Easy
Difficulty. The Life Bar is located at the right side of where the
notes will fall, below the Pills. Performing consecutive COOLs is
one way to keep the life bar from draining.

Q: What is a JAM and how do they work?

A: JAMs are the score multipliers, which are attained by filling up the
JAM Meter (found below the note columns) and performing great.
Attaining many JAMs is the key to a very high score.

Q: Where is the BPM thing located?

A: At the right side of the Song Selection screen. Be aware that a high BPM
means faster songs and low BPM means slower ones.

Q: I can't understand the controls! Can I change it to my satisfaction?

A: The default controls are displayed below and you can change it to your liking
   by accessing Options > Controls:

	-------------------------------
	| | D | | spa | | K | |
	| S |---| F | c e | J |---| L |
	-------------------------------

Q: The notes are really difficult to see! How can I play the game at my best?

A: Never fear, because you can change it to a bright or easy spotting one!
While in-game press F5 to change the notes from a solid round note to
a bright sparkling square one. There is also a note guide that sprouts
from the left and right sides of a note. This also makes spotting notes
easy. Pressing F6 adjusts this, from freaking short, smooth middle,
nasty long, and even the challenging NONE!

Q: I'm lvl 10 and when I play a song there's no Gems or EXP earning!

A: The game system is set to resrtict EXP and GEM production in Single rooms
at lvl 10 above. Try the VS room.

Q: Does the game has shortcuts to?

A: Yes, there are. In fact, there are many hotkeys in O2Jam NX! Most of
these commands only work inside waiting rooms.

F1 - Works only when playing. This increases the sound volume by one unit.
F2 - This changes your avatar's current team color to an unselected one.
       - Works only when playing. This decreases the sound volume by one unit.
F3 - Being a Captain, this key starts the game.
F5 - Works only when playing. This changes note shape.
F6 - Works only when playing. This changes the note guide length.
   F7 - This toggles the note effects from 2D / 3D.
F8 - This toggles the cursor from the defualt to your window cursor.
   F9 - This toggles the Jam Arena-only Equalizer ON/Off.
   Chat Commands:
   /w <character name> <message> - This allows you to send a whisper.
   /r <new room name> <message> - This allows you to change the room's name.
   Other Commands:
Print Screen - Can be used anywhere. Takes a screenshot.
These screenshots are saved in the folder inside the O2Jam
System Files. The folder is named as "Save".
Escape - This quickly cancels all changes made inside the music
selection window and also closes it.
The famous Alt+F4 - Allows you to exit O2Jam by prompting you to either
Exit or Cancel. Some iCafe Clients disables this.

Q: Are there emoticons in O2Jam?

A: Yes, there are, though they are only usable inside the waiting room.
There are two sets of emoticons, each has 10.

   <Ctrl+> Group:

   Ctrl+1 - Displays a big exclamation point.
   Ctrl+2 - Displays a big question mark.
   Ctrl+3 - Displays a big heart.
Ctrl+4 - Displays the numbers 3-2-1, respectively, in a countdown fashion.
Ctrl+5 - Displays two quarter notes, symbolises a whistle.
Ctrl+6 - Displays two big exclamation points.
Ctrl+7 - Displays a big heart which then splits into two halves.
   Ctrl+8 - Displays a four-leaf clover, symbolises good luck.

Ctrl+Shft+5 - Displays a red cross, symbolises the statement "NO".
   Ctrl+Shft+6 - Displays a smiling Ohm.
   Ctrl+Shft+7 - Displays a laughing Ohm.
Ctrl+Shft+8 - Displays a Ohm in grimace and puts up a peace sign.
   Ctrl+Shft+9 - Displays a dizzy-eyed Ohm.
   Ctrl+Shft+0 - Displays an ellipsis.
