-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   1.0 Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This FAQ is for beginners, anyone who wants tips and tricks or just wants to
know what Team Escape is and to get a general idea on how this mode works.

This is Need for Speed World first team based game mode. In this FAQ, it will
explain the mechanics in Team Escape and also offers other deeper tips to get
the best out of the mode.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.1 Game Mode History and Changes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Escape was one of the first modes that allowed you to work as a team for
a goal. It takes all the resources from other modes such as racing and pursuit
and puts it into this mode.

Before players can play the mode without a problem, mainly for earning money
and reputation points to quickly level up before the other updates came in.

One of the recent patches reworked Team Escape of Septemeber 2012 makes it much
more harder for you to complete a mode. All in being the best example
considering it's reduced it's time to 4 minutes. This makes it much harder to
complete and would make players use up power-ups and skill mods in order to
complete this mode.

It's also prevent players from playing those mode while they are encouraged to
find other modes and events to play on provided by the game.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.0 What is Team Escape?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Escape is a team event in Need For Speed World, where you and up to three
other drivers sprint from point A to B, as the police force attempt to arrest
you. You will encounter a police force who uses roadblocks, police cruisers,
rhino and spike strips making an effort to try and stop your team from getting
to point B.

Each event has a time limit and another limit to how many times anyone can get
arrested which also helps determine the types of reward as you complete the
event.

To complete the event successfully, you must reach the finishing line. You
better you and your team perform and reach the finish line, the more rewards
you get.

See the Escape and Rewards section explaining what rewards you get on how
your team performs.

You fail the event if the team uses all the strikes and players dont make it
to the finish line by getting busted or the time limit runs out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.1 Starting an Event
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There two type of events in Team Escape.

The public event allows you to puts together with three other random players
in the game.

The Private match allows you to invite three other players on your buddy list
to take part in an event. This means a box will appear which allows you to
select anyone you may want to invite.

After all the players hit the 'Ready' button, the event will begin.

Before joining an event will display it's heat level, unlock level and the
number of maximum drivers can take part in.

Some events are unlocked depending on the players current level and they need
to be unlocked over the course of the players career.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.2 Obstacles
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     - Roadblocks

A simple line of roadblocks consisting of Police Cruisers and Rhino, you can
narrowly avoid by these by finding little gaps and opening as you approach
these. Some roadblocks are well hidden, as you approach or drive off uphill
and downhill terrain they usually the common places where these roadblocks
usually hide.

     - Police Cruisers

These aren't as threatening in single numbers however getting surrounded by
will increase your chances in getting busted and using a strike.

     - Rhino SUVs

Exactly how they appeared in Most Wanted, these appear and attempt to ram you
head on from the opposite direction and appear once in a while in roadblocks.

Once a player slammed into SUVs that try ramming head on, they often stay there
making it another obstacle for the other players, giving them another thing
to worry around.

     - Spike Strips

They spawn mainly towards the end of the event, sometimes they can lead to some
exciting moments towards the end as players get hit and drive towards the
finish with almost no tires at little speed.

     - Traffic

Yes, Traffic. Like the rest of the obstacles listed above, they were made to
slow you down if you ram into them by accident.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.3 Escape and Rewards
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the lead driver hits the finish line to escapes, the rest of the other
players have 60 seconds to escape. There will be no more respawns. Anyone who
get busted after the lead driver escapes wouldn't respawn and would be listed
as busted.

Players can view other players data to see how far away they are from the
finish line. This is listed in feet.

If any players don't want to wait, they can leave while the other racers are
still trying to escape.

Anyone will gather their rewards however this meant just taking the winnings of
the players that have escaped. This is useful if no one wants to wait for anyone
who doesn't look like they will finish in time.

If no one got busted anytime during the event, you get a 'Clean Run' bonus,
and added bonus on your experience and money earnings

You get the amount of experience point to the players who have escaped.
Depending on how many players escaped. This also deterimate if you get the
Gold, Sliver, Bronze or Standard Rewards Cards at the end of the race.

Even if players still need to respawn, the player respawn where another player
is closest to the finish line. This can happen only because players whom were
busted before the lead driver hits the finish line.

If everyone finishes before the player respawns, they get listed as busted.

If there no more respawning points it's a game over and everyone loses!
At least one driver must be still racing in order to continue the event or
everyone loses regardless if you have any strikes availible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.4 Getting Busted
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Team Escape, there alot that happens when a player gets busted.

The player respawn in the same position as another player on currently driving.
If the players have finished the event, you spawn from the player who is
currently racing and closest to the finish line.

If there no more strikes, you may wait until the rest of the team get busted
or complete the event to gather the rewards or you can simply exit and take
whatever cash or experience points you are rewarded for.

Players who get busted and cannot continue the event, don't get reward cards!

If everyone else finishes before the player respawns, they get busted.

If everyone in the team get busted even they they still strikes available, it's
a game over.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.5 Crashbreakers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They work differently this time and EA has found a way of using it as another
challenge and it's adds another level of teamwork.

Crashbreaker locations can turn into obstacles for other drivers after being
used. Many of the crashbreaker locations are usually the same places as the
spawning police roadblocks.

If a driver hits these objects or activates a crashbreaker, they can cause
another blockade for the over drivers. These can be a problem and sometimes,
drivers, mostly newbie slam into them which makes them a lot harder to gain
speed and a higher chance to get busted and using a strike.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.6 Power Ups
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      - Team Escape Power Ups

These power ups are exclusive to Team Escape. Other power ups are also
available to be used in this mode.

Team Slingshot - It powers all 4 vehicles, even if you are the event leader.

Team Emergency Evade - One of these would allow everyone to clear the area
around them in order to escape. Useful if two or more players are trapped or
surrounded by the police force. Unlike the slingshot, you can use this in
effect when youre the driver leader.

     - Other Power Ups

Some powers from other modes can be used in Team Escape Other Power ups which
can be used in this mode are Nitrous, Emergency Evade, Run Flats, Slingshot,
Shield, Ready and Juggernaut, here a list of the powers up which you can use
and some tips explaining how you could possibly use them.

Nitrous Ideal for a boost of speed and best to use the Nitrous to escape
from the police if you need it.

Run Flats Rebuilds the tires of your vehicle. You may need these unless you
know where many spike strip locations are in which youll know how to avoid
them after many event runs.

Shield A shield to toughen your vehicle up a little bit.

Ready The same function as always, has it makes the power ups which are
still charging, readily available for you to use again. Theyre a lot more
useful then you think it is.

Ive used these when Ive already used all the other power-ups and theyre
still charging while getting into another unlucky situation where I get
surrounded and dont want to get busted, I used the Ready to make those other
power ups available and then use those power ups to quickly clear the area
and escape.

Juggernaut Give you extra weight to slam into other vehicles and objects,
useful for roadblocks and rhino.

A slim chance you would use these unless you like slamming into roadblocks and
cruisers and seeing them scatter across the road.

Slingshot - Works the same way as they do in races. Your vehicle gets pulled by
a force to gain extra speed in the event. You cannot use these when youre the
driver leader. Useful if you want to gain some speed to quickly escape a
situation and avoid getting busted.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   2.7 Skill Mods
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skill mods are items that can be equiped on your vehicle to extra performance.
This allow you to perform better on various skills based on your section.

The most recommended skill to use is the Juggernaut skill. Yes, it's not just
for a powerful too!

Vehicles that come with the Juggernaut skill mod, are often recommended for
Team Escape events!

Juggernaut ability only comes with vehicles which can be bought at the shop
which are listed in another section.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   3.0 Gameplay Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few general tips to help you achieve the best results while playing Team
Escape, these tips will help you improve your chances at completing the event
alot quicker. Ive spilt these into three sections.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   3.1 Beginners Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     - First Time Taking Part?

Practice Makes Perfect as they say, learning the event route is always better
during your first few runs. When you first take part in the event, you would
more likely run into accidents and get busted. There interesting ways the game
prevents you from getting to the finish.

There are many events across world, some restricted to certain car classes
while others with other openned to the lot.

Unfortunately there's no practice mode however if do you do want to practice
and to get to know the route, you can always grab a friend and pair up and start
practicing in a Private Match.

The other method is to ease of the acceleration in all the events. You can
avoid a lot of roadblocks and spike strips this way compared to most of the
players who floor it.

     - Stay at high speed

Interestly enough, EA Black Box were nice enough to add enough depth in the
physic to the world that you can get busted for really small reasons.

If you hit a lamppost or fire hyrdain at 5 mph. The chances are that these
objects win and your vehicle will stall. This has happened alot of time and
players were almost freaked out by this as at times they were easily busted.

This is why it's way better to stay at high speeds as much as possible.

    - Avoid Respawning

Hitting the backspace button will allow you to respawn however the game doesn't
like it when cops are around. Respawning will make you get busted instantly.

If you vehicle has flipped over, allow the game to respawn you automatically.
Don't be so

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   3.2 Teamwork Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     - Slow Down Lead Drivers

Sometimes lead drivers drive so fast and far, that they've complete the event
quicker then the other drivers, sometimes over 10,000 ft away from the other
team members. When they finish and the sixty second countdown starts, what
often happens is that the other team members don't finish off the event.

This habit turns into a liability for the entire team as well as the race
leader. The players who escaped, don't win the full rewards meanwhile those who
were busted will just think it a waste of time. This isn't good teamwork and
you'll only end up losing most of the rewards you could of made if the whole
team finished the same event.

So, keep this in mind if you're a lead driver.

     - Stay Together

If you do make the decision to leave someone behind (believe it, it has
happened), make sure someone doesnt get busted after the first player crosses
the finish line. This is a tough pill to take The player in 3rd place who got
busted 1,000 ft from the finish line will respawn after the 4th driver who is
20,000 ft in the finish line as the 1st and 2nd driver finish the event*.

     - Avoid Roadblocks

Avoid them as much as possible. Ramming into nicely lined roadblocks will cause
them to scatter and what you'll end up having is a range of police cruisers
scattered across the road. What's you'll end up having the team to do is much
more harder work, avoiding these obstacles and thus more chances players would
ram and get busted.

     - Avoid Slamming The Finished Racers

This often leads to you getting busted. You're at the end of the finishing
line and you end up ramming the other players in front of you, sometimes as
a joke.

This will often make you slam so hard that you wouldn't finish the event and
at would also give the cops a chance to bust you.

     - Make The Most Out TE

Many players likes to enter an event with the maximum amount of players.
Sometimes a player would drop out and it effects the rewards when completing
the event. Don't get discouraged by this. It's better to take part in the event
if there two other players taking part as suppose to three. It's takes long
enough to exit and reload the event on most machines, hence why it's much
better to continue if the player leaves the event as they may of been
disconnected by mistake.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
     3.3 Team Power Up Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     Using Team Slingshot

Its best to use these on really long straightway. If youre really clever and
note the other team members are on a straightway. Its better to activate
Team Slingshot.

     Using Team Emergency Evade

Use these when you notice two or more drivers who have rammed into roadblocks
and arent moving, this is maybe the best time to use Team Emergency Evade.

Using this at the right time comes with practice and a few trial and errors.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   3.4 Power Ups Tips
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some powers from other modes can be used in Team Escape. The Power ups which
can be used in this mode are Nitrous, Emergency Evade, Run Flats, Slingshot,
Shield, Ready and Juggernaut, here a list of the powers up explained which you
can use and some tips explaining how you could possibly use them.

Nitrous Ideal for a boost of speed and best to use the Nitrous to escape from
the police if you need it.

Run Flats Rebuilds the tires of your vehicle. You may need these unless you
know where many spike strip locations are in which youll know how to avoid
them after many event runs.

Shield - A shield to toughen your vehicle up a little bit. Not many
players use it.

Ready The same function as always, has it makes the power ups which are
still charging, readily available for you to use again. Theyre a lot more
useful then you think it is.

Ive used these when Ive already used all the other power-ups and theyre
still charging while getting into another unlucky situation where I get
surrounded and dont want to get busted, I used the Ready to make those other
power ups available and then use those power ups to quickly clear the area
and escape.

Juggernaut Give you extra weight to slam into other vehicles and objects,
useful for roadblocks and other obstacles. A slim chance you would use these
unless you like slamming into roadblocks and cruisers and seeing them scatter
across the road.

Slingshot - Works the same way as they do in races. Your vehicle gets pulled by
a force to gain extra speed in the event. You cannot use these when youre the
driver leader. Useful if you want to gain some speed to avoid getting busted.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   4.0 Juggernaut Edition Vehicles
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The section explaining about the Juggernaut Edition of Vehicles

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   4.1 About Juggernaut Editions
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These vehicles were released soon after Team Escape debuted in World Online,
you can purchase the Juggernaut editions using speed boost in game or get them
for free as you top up for speedboost, amazon.com packs or win them in
compeititons.

These vehicles aren't just limited to Team Escape as they can be used in all
the other games modes such as Pursuit and Race mode. I wouldn't recommend using
these vehicles in race mode thou.

All these vehicles have one thing in common and that is that they have
extremely good acceleration as you can speed up from 0 60mph a lot faster
and can pack a punch when ramming then their original stock counterpart.

They all bear an icon of a weight with a pair of wrench crossed together with
a text print which reads "Increases the mass of the car for greater impact
during collisions". These vehicles are recommended of the Team Escape events.

You can't remove the Juggernaut skill where its locked in the Skills Workshop.

These editions has either Blue or Red variation with a unique set of features.
Some vehicles have there unique set of neons, bodykits and license plates,
which can be played around and customizated themselves. Some players have even
changed the colour of the red or blue editions for the fun of it.

Don't let the stats fool you thou. Even thou the Bentley has a higher stats
then the Viper, it feels like a slow vehicle, this is because the game has
alot of physics such as the WEIGHT of the vehicle which add to the gameplay. It
still does the job however and you'll get use them driving any one of them.

Each vehicle has something unique and special about it which is worth the
drive.

Note: Speedboost is the ingame currency bought for real world cash.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   4.2 Vehicle List
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A list of vehicles released with the Juggernaut ability, which helps when used
in Team Escape. Many of them come in Red or Blue however it doesn't stop you
from recustomizing them. I mean they look as great as they look already.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   6.1 Explaination on Problems!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     - Busted while driving from 60 to 200 mph?

Reading this is very bizarre at first however it happens. Usually this happens
when you crash into a police roadblock or a wall, the police force close in to
surround you and you reverse then drive off attempting to escape however the
meter continues building as the police surround your vehicle. This isn't a
glitch and maybe programmed in. Many users have addressed this in the forums
and they have found this a bit unfair.

The best way to avoid this is to usually avoid this in the first place, hence
knowing the event route first, roadblock spawns. It's really silly for the
game to allow this to even happen and many players complain about it.

Will this be fixed, I don't know however an update FAQ will be answer this if
anything happens regarding this.
