I. Story
===============================================================================
During the days of the Crusades, a man known as Mac Bride joined the King's
cause to fight over in the Middle East with some Templar Knights. While on
his way to the Crusades, his troop is attacked by fearsome monsters. Many are
killed, many are taken captive, but Mac manages only to be knocked out.
When he comes to, he finds out what had happened and sets out to rescue his
allies from the clutches of Garkham. Little does he know that his quest to
free them turns into a quest to save the world from the evil wizards.
===============================================================================
II. Characters
===============================================================================
Here is a list of all the characters in the game and their abilities. When
forming a party, you have to think of really one thing. With higher HP comes a
slower speed, and with a higher speed comes a lower HP.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Adventurer
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is only one adventurer in the game and that is Mac Bride, the main
character. Mac uses swords for the most part and has the ability to work with
Machines throughout the game.

Name Sex Age HP Rate Speed
Mac Bride Male 25 300 * (Lv + 1) Average
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Archers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Archers are much weaker then the rest of the group, but also faster and can
attack from a distance. Archers have enough Agility to fit through any tight
spot.

Name Sex Age HP Rate Speed
Drulak Male 25 250 * (Lv + 1) Average
Khat Female 20 200 * (Lv + 1) Fast
Tuek Male 30 300 * (Lv + 1) Slow
Yesdi Female 25 250 * (Lv + 1) Average

Unless you can protect your archers well, stick with either Drulak or Yesdi.
Tuek may have more HP but he is VERY slow for an archer. If you think you
can use the speed well, take Khat, just keep her at a distance from the
heavy combat.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c. Warriors
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warriors, though slower than the rest of the group, possess great Strength.
They have enough HP to tank the rest of the party and their weapons are usually
strong enough to kill in one shot.

Name Sex Age HP Rate Speed
Vigrad Male 35 350 * (Lv + 1) Average
Darkor Male 30 400 * (Lv + 1) Very Slow
Turgarra Female 30 350 * (Lv + 1) Average
Kornagen Female 20 300 * (Lv + 1) Fast

Kornagen's speed can come in handy in battle, but she has the lowest HP rating
of the warriors. Darkor can last a long time, but he moves so slow that the
action is already done by the time he gets there. Vigrad or Turgarra are your
average Warriors.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
d. Magicians
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Magicians are physically weak, but their strength lies within their magic. They
are not to be put into the middle of combat like Mac Bride and your Warrior
are. Keep them close to the Archers.

Name Sex Age HP Rate Speed
Uraeus Male 70 300 * (Lv + 1) Slow
Oxalis Female 30 200 * (Lv + 1) Average
Demagos Male 40 250 * (Lv + 1) Slow
Avalonia Female 20 250 * (Lv + 1) Average

Though Uraeus has the highest HP of the group, you'll probably find that your
best choice of Magicians is Avalonia. She has the same speed as Oxalis, but
more HP, and has the same HP as Demagos, but moves faster. If you need the
extra HP then go for Uraeus. Don't bother with Oxalis or Demagos.
===============================================================================
III. Walkthrough
===============================================================================
Since the game is difficult to describe in a way, I'm using a bit of my own
code to help me. A chest will be indicated by square brackets and the contents
will be inside; for example [Life Vials x2] or [Life Vials x2, Archer's Arrows
x20]. Secrets will be indicated within { }. Also, only item drops will be
noted, as Xp drops stop happening after each character has leveled up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Level 1 - Village of Zarko
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Secrets, 13 Chests, !Fountain of Youth!

-Isle of Repose-
Drops: Adventurer's Exploding Powder x10

Upon seeing the cut scene, you'll enter the Isle of Repose where Mac Bride, the
hero of this story, is stationed. Before moving anywhere, click on the
Adventurer's Katana so that he'll have something to attack with. Just to the
right is some Adventurer's Exploding Powder. Use any consumable objects wisely.

Anyway, make your way north to the campsite. There are about 11 Glores to test
your skills early on. Take it slow and take them on one at a time if you can.
Near the campsite is [Life Vial x3]. Go southwest until you reach the bridge.
Here is Drulak, an Archer. Recruit him and head west to the next area.

-Village of Zarko-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x90, Adventurer's Exposive Powder x10

The panel with an ahnk on it is a stone to revive fallen allies. Walk the dead
over on top of the panel and the character will be revived with some HP.
Follow the road northward, killing any Glores in your way. In the middle of
the road is a broken down cart and Vigrad. Recruit him and enter the town
walls. Inside the Tavern there are 3 other Warriors you can exchange Vigrad
for if you don't want him. In the shop, you can exchange Archers if you don't
want Drulak (a hint on this part; if you want arrows, exchange characters
temporarily and right click on their bow. Exchange until 3 sets of bows are
on the floor, then taking the Archer you want to keep, pick up all 3 bows).
Inside the Barn in the town is a chest with [Life Vial x2, Sledgehammer].

Exit the walls and head directly east. Here is the Fountain of Youth. This
will allow you to restore the HP completely of the one who touches it, so keep
that in mind. Follow the road northeast. Just to the south of the fountain is
a stone to move. Move the stone and send someone inside the cave. There is
only a Zlig there so don't worry. Inside are two chests, one with [Life Vial
x2] and one with [Life Vial, Gold Coins]. Come back up and head back to the
shop. Trade the Gold Coins to the shopkeeper for an Adept Warrior's Axe.

To the south of the town is a lake with a whirlpool in it. Have someone go
inside. Inside are 4 Blue Buttons. Step on them and the "Blue Chest" will
open. Head back out. Go back to the road and follow North. Kill the Glores
nearby, picking up any Xp that you can (one of your characters should have
gotten 300 Xp by now). Keep in mind that during a level, a character can only
take 300 Xp. Follow the road to the Lake of the Magician.

-Lake of the Magician (South)-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x65, Adventurer's Breastplate,
       Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10

Be prepared for plenty of Glores here. Make your way west and across the river
using the stones. Enter the Magician's House and recruit any Magician you'd
like (though I recommend Avalonia). Also, pick up the [Life Vial x5] in the
house before returning back to the road. Follow the road east to Passage in
the River.

-Passage in the River-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x180, Magician's Fireballs, Warrior's Shield
       Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20, Magician's Invisibility x5

Follow the road. Glores will be blocking a stone incantation. Get rid of them
(make sure you get the Magician's Fireballs as well). Have your Magician read
the incantation to form a magic bridge across the river. Cross the river and
head south. Move the block and enter the cave to get [Gold Coins, Life Vial].
Exit back out and head west then south.

-Isle of Repose-

Though the passage said to Forest Labyrinth, the map is that of the Isle of
Repose. Make your way south past the Zombie and Glores to the chest that
contains [Life Vial x3, Archer's Arrows x50, Adventurer's Exploding Powder
x10]. Make your way back north to the Passage in the River.

-Passage in the River-

Make your way to the northeast side of this map (follow the road north to get
to the passage in the cliffs. Make your way in, grabbing the Magician's
Invisibility along the way, to the chest with a [Life Vial x4, Stone Key].
Make your way back and follow the road west, killing any Glores in your way to
the northern half of the Lake of the Magician.

-Lake of the Magician (North)-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x60

There are two ways to enter the Fortress of the Stonemen. The first is to go
to the far west and enter the waterfall. Grab the [Life Vial x3] and then go
to the east room. Break open the {false wall} and go through with your Archer
to grab the [Life Vial, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10] in the chest. You
can go up the ladder if you want, but I don't recommend it. I only recommend
going into the waterfall to get the chests, because going up the ladder will
bring certain doom. Exit back out and follow the mountain line to the river.
Have your Magician shoot the Zombie behind the Ballista, then have your Archer
and Magician attack the Glores from a distance. Use the Stone Key and enter.

-Fortress of the Stonemen-
Drops: Golden Key

If you need to heal, take the warp to the east side to the Fountain of Youth.

Passing through the gas vents will hurt, but there is a way around it. Have
your Archer go through the crack in the west side wall. Grab the [Life Vial x3]
in the chest and enter the crack in the east side wall near the chest. Stand
on the button and call your other 3 characters out. Equip your best weapons
and continue forward. There are 3 Captains of the Guard (each with 500 HP)
ready to ambush you. Stand your ground and nail them with your ranged weapons.
Grab the dropped Golden Key. Talk to the Stoneman if you want, but open the
chest to the south of the Golden Door to get [Life Vial x2], then west from
that one for a chest with [Life Vial, Warrior's Throwing Axe x20]. Use the
Golden Key to unlock the Golden Door.

In the middle of this hallway is the opened {Blue Chest} (you did open it,
right?) with [Life Vial x2, Travel Speed Potion x2, Rapid Attack Potion,
Power Potion x3]. Have your Warrior test his strength, your Magician read the
incantation, Mac Bride work the machine, and your Archer go inside the crack
and push the block onto the button. Make your way back to the main hallway and
to the newly opened door. Go into the room and kill the monsters that appear.
Grab the Archer's Vision Prism. Before heading into the warp, head back to
the Fountain of Youth to fully heal, as it will be a long time since you can
use this feature again. When you are ready and have everything, head to the
warp and enter Level 2.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Level 2 - Northern Pass
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Secrets, 43 Chests

-Southern Cliffs-
Drop: Archer's Arrows x80, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20,
      Magician's Protection Spell x5

From the start, go north a bit. Kill the monsters and enter the Southern
Dungeon.

-Southern Dungeon F1-

Quickly dispatch of the Phantom Generator and any remaining monsters. Have
the Warrior test his strength on the north side and the Magician read the
incantation to open the door. Go up to the 2nd floor.

-Southern Dungeon F2-

You're gonna have to move quickly to avoid the fire traps. The different
colored floor tiles activate the trap. Quickly move to the west side out of
the way of fire. Have someone push the block onto the tile to stop the trap.
There are two chests in this room, one with [Life Vial x2] and one with
[Life Vial, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Exit out of the dungeon and back
to the cliffs.

-Southern Cliffs-

Head west all the way to the end then north. Enter the waterfall. Kill anything
in your path and open the 3 chests with [Life Vial x2], [Life Vial, Gold
Coins], and [Life Vial, Archer's Arrows x50]. To the south of the last chest
is a {weak wall}. Destroy it and enter to get [Life Vial, Adventurer's
Explosive Powder x10]. Head back out the south exit.

Go back east to the road and follow north. When the road splits off east and
west, head east to the mountain where there is a cave with a chest with a
[Life Vial, Magician's Protective Cape]. Exit back out and follow the road
north to the Central Cliffs.

-Central Cliffs-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x185, Archer's Shurikens, Warrior's Mace
       Adventurer's Healing Potion x10, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x40

As soon as you can, take the east road. Get ready for an ambush as many Glores
and a Captain of the Guard shows up to attack. Make sure you pick up the
Archer's Shurikens (though they are very weak, if you run out of arrows this is
your weapon of choice). Anyways, after clearing the area, take the cave to the
west of the Watchtower where there is [Life Vial x3]. Exit back out and
enter the Watchtower.

-Watchtower F1-

Have Mac use the Machine and then press the button in the northwest corner of
the room. Send your Warrior east and then north. Kill the monsters and press
the button to disarm the traps then grab the [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Throwing
Axes x10] from the chest. Go back to the central room and take the west path.
Kill the monsters and grab the [Life Vial x2] from the chest. Have your
Magician read the incantation near the door and go down the stairs.

-Watchtower B1-

Be very quick about this and head to the northern area and destroy the Phantom
Generator else you will suffer a LOT. Near the Phantom Generator is a chest
with [Life Vial x2, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5, Iron Key]. Have the
Warrior test his strength on the panel to the west side of the chest. Send
your Archer through the {narrow passage} on the west side of the floor. Open
the chest with [Life Vial, Archer's Arrows x50] to the northern side. Jump
west across the water to the ledge and shoot the trigger across the water from
it to activate a magic bridge along the southern wall. Shoot the next target
to activate another bridge to a chest with [Life Vial x2]. Go back to the
first platfrom you jumped across to see the new bridge, then jump across and
make your way to the chest with [Life Vial x2]. From there jump across to the
southwest corner of the room and press the button. Exit out and take the party
back to the first floor.

-Watchtower F1-

Press the button on the southeast corner of this room and then make your way
to the eastern room where you opened the first chest. The stairs are now open
for you to use.

-Watchtower F2-
Drops: Warrior's Throwing Axe x20

From the start you'll be ambushed by Zombies. Open the Iron Door with the
Iron Key and get ready to fight 2 Captain of the Guards. Kill them and open
the chest with [Life Vial x2, Magician's Rain of Fire Curse]. Take the portal
to the first floor and exit.

-Central Cliffs-

Make your way back west. Head west as far as you can off the road to the
dried-up fountain. Go north from there and push the stone out of the way and
enter the cave. In the southeast corner is a button to make a magic bridge
appear across the water. Using your Archer, quickly cross the bridge and open
the chests with [Life Vial], [Life Vial, Gold Coins], [Life Vial, Jar of
Medicinal Herbs]. Make your way back out.

Go north to the next cave with a [Life Vial x2]. Exit back out and head east.
You'll be facing a horde of monsters here so be prepared. Grab the Warrior's
Mace that is dropped here. As soon as the area is cleared, enter the Mooted
Dungeon.

-Mooted Dungeon F1-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x50, Archer's Leather Vest, Iron Key

Have Mac and the Warrior use the Mechanism and the Strength Tester. Have your
Magician go west to get a [Life Vial x2]. Don't have the Magician read the
incantation yet, as it will open the door with the Phantoms near it. Head to
the northern room and press the button to shut off the traps. Go back south
and then east. Have the Archer enter the {Narrow Pass}. Press the button and
the door to the east will open. Follow it to the Phantom Generator and kill
it for an Archer's Leather Vest. Have Mac operate the Mechanism to open a
door. Go back to the north room and send your fastest walker east through the
newly opened door. Avoid the gas traps and press the 3 buttons. Now head back
to the western room. Now have the Magician read the Incantation to open the
door. Run to the Phantom Generator and destroy it to get an Iron Key.

Read the Incantation to open the door to the west, then have your Warrior go
into that room and push the test of strength button. Send someone east to press
the buttons and have your party go back to the northern room. Unlock the Iron
Door with the Iron Key and go down the stairs.

-Mooted Dungeon B1-
Drops: Coin

Test your strength to open the western room door. Send Mac and your Magician
to that room to operate the Mechanism and Incantation. Open the chest with a
[Archer's Crossbow x30] and give it to the Archer. Go to the newly opened
northwest door and talk to the prisoner who talks a bit about the village of
Troon. Talk to the guy in the next cell and he will give you a Coin to the
dried-up fountain. Go to the east room to open the chest with a [Stone Key].
Go back up to the first floor.

-Mooted Dungeon F1-

Open the Stone Door with the Stone Key. A Phantom Generator will appear, so
quickly dispatch of it. Go up the stairs.

-Mooted Dungeon F2-
Drops: Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20,
       Magician's Invisibility x5

Open the chest with [Life Vial x2]. Quickly go west to the Phantom Generator
and destroy it. Step on the button on the southeast corner of the room. Have
the Sorceress read the incantation then make your way to the east room. Kill
the Glores that appear and have the Warrior press the strength button. This
will open the door to two Captain of the Guards. Kill them and grab the
[Golden Key, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5] then take the warp and go back
outside.

-Central Cliffs-

Make your way southwest back to the dried-up fountain. Use the Coin and a
{cave} to the south of it will open up. Enter the Rebel's Den.

-Rebel's Den-
Drop: Bowl of Food, Seal of Dissidents

Talk to the Rebel Leader and he will give you a bowl of food. Give the Ill
Rebel your Jar of Medicinal Herbs and he'll open up the door. Talk to another
rebel to get the Seal of Dissidents. Take the warp past the door and press
the two blue buttons. Exit back to the central cliffs.

-Central Cliffs-

Make your way directly east to the Lake of the Hermit.

-Pool of the Hermit-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x100, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
       Adventurer's Healing Potion

Use the Golden Key to open the Golden Gate and grab the [Life Vial x2] in
the chest. Go east to the cave. Enter the cave and grab the [Magic Star] from
the chest and exit. Go back to the road and follow to a swarm of Glores. Go
east and to the southeast corner of the lake. Give the Hermit the Bowl of
Food and he will give you the Legendary Stone. Now make your way to the middle
of the lake where there is a chest with [Life Vial, Warrior's Breastplate].
Make your way back to the road and go north. About half way to the maze at the
north side of the map, turn to face the east side and enter the waterfall.
Grab the [Life Vial x2, Gold Coins], then exit.

Go north to the maze and push the block to enter it. Grab the [Life Vial x2,
Adventurer's Explosive Powder] and make your way through it to the west side.
Go west and grab the Adventurer's Healing Potion. However, since you took it,
the gate has closed, locking you in. To solve this, place a Life Vial on the
block to push it back down. Go back through the ruined tower and then follow
the road west. At the fork in the road going west-east, push the block and
enter the cave for [Life Vial x2, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10]. Exit
the cave and follow the road west to the Central Cliffs.

-Central Cliffs-

Go west to the Resurrection Panel and go south to the waterfall. Grab the
[Life Vial x2] from the chest. Head north to the Northern Cliffs.

-Northern Cliffs-
Drops: Adventurer's Exploding Powder x10, Archer's Arrows x55,
       Adventurer's Mines x10, Warriors Throwing Axes x20

You will be ambushed by many Glores once you enter. Head east and take the
cave at the northern side of the mountain for [Life Vial, Explosive Crossbow
Bolts x10] and kill the Glores and Captain of the Guards for some Adventurer's
Mines. Enter the Temple of the Legendary Stone.

-Secret Tunnel to the Northern Dungeon-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x20, Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10

Kill the Phantom Generator and put the Legendary Stone into the alter in the
eastern room.

-Northern Cliffs-

Go north a bit and to the east is a cave with a [Life Vial x3] in it. Go
back south and west, killing any of the monsters on the way and enter the
Temple of the Golden Star.

-Secret Tunnel to the Northern Dungeon-

Put the Golden Star in the alter to open the door. Go north a bit and try to
enter the room directly north of the alter room. When you step on the black
tiles, the door will close. Step away and have your Archer shoot the target
to open the doors, then go in and kill the Phantom Generator. Grab the [Life
Vial x2] from the chest. From this room, walk east until you come across a
Phantom Generator. To the east of this spot is a {narrow passage}. Go in and
grab the [Life Vial x2, Archer's Arrows x50]. Press the button and rejoin the
rest of the party. Hug along the southern wall and walk west to a chest with
[Life Vial x3]. Make your way northwest until you see a Mechanism. Have Mac
use it and kill the monsters that appear. Make your way west and then north
east to the newly opened room with a Phantom Generator. You can't touch it
until you open the chest with [Life Vial x2, Adventurer's Blade], so open it
and then kill the Generator. Take the Adventurer's Blade (this is a handy
distance weapon to have if you run out of Explosive Powder). Step on the
panel on the southeast corner of the room.

Make your way back south past the Mechanism and then go east to the next
hallway, then north. Kill the Zombie blocking the door to the east and have
your Magician read the incantation. Grab the [Life Vial x4] and step on the
panel near the door. Send your archer back to the room that had the
Adventurer's Blade and you'll notice that the gas has now stopped. Step on
the block past it then make your way back to the party. Go north to the fork
and then east. Kill the Phantom Generator. Have Mac use the Mechanism and your
Archer slip through the {narrow pass} to the east. Press the button and grab
the [Life Vial x2, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Rejoin the party then
head west. Take the [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20] from the chest
and have your Warrior push the strength plate. Have your Magician read the
incantation on the west side and the northern door will open. Take the newly
opened stairs to the Northern Dungeon.

-Northern Dungeon F1-
Drops: Iron Key

Go west and kill the Captain of the Guard for an Iron Key. Unlock the north
door with the Iron Key and go upstairs.

-Northern Dungeon F2-
Drops: Archers Arrows x1, Iron Key, Warrior's Shock Wave x10

You have to be quick here. There are two panels on the floor that when stepped
on, after a short amount of time will come out. In the west and east rooms are
panels that do the same. Leave your Magician and Archer in the main entrance
standing near the buttons. Have Mac go east (making sure you watch out for the
Zombies that appear. Just kill them with the Powder) and stand near the button,
then have your Warrior go west, killing any monsters, and stand near the
button. Then quickly, one by one, have each of your characters step on the
buttons to open the doors. Have your Archer shoot the target to the west with
an arrow to turn off the spike traps, then have Mac use his Blade to shoot the
east target. Kill the monsters for another Iron Key and a Warrior's Shock
Wave. Unlock the Iron Door and go upstairs.

-Northern Dungeon F3-
Drops: Stone Key

Kill the zombies and from a distance, attack the two red Captain of the Guards
(they have 1600 HP, so be careful). Take the Stone Key that drops and open the
chest with [Adventurer's Healing Potion x5, Sack of Magic Powder]. Take the
nearby warp back to the first floor.

-Northern Dungeon F1-

Kill off the couple of Glores that will try to ambush you. Step on the three
buttons to disable the gas traps, then use the Stone Key on the Stone Door
to head back to the Northern Cliffs.

-Northern Cliffs-

Be prepared to strike at many Glores and Captain of the Guards. Go north to
the Magic Door and kill the Glores. Before opening the magic door, go east
to the waterfall for the last chest with [Life Vial x2]. Also, follow the
given path to a warp to the secret room. Have Mac operate the Mechanism and
have your Warrior push the Strength button to open the door. Press the two
blue buttons to open the blue chest. Grab the Power Potion x4, Travel Speed
Potion, and Rapid Attack Potion x3. Go back to the Northern Cliffs and use the
Sack of Magic Powder on the Magic Door. Now walk to the portal to the next
level.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c. Level 3 - Village of Troon
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18 Secrets, 36 Chests, !Fountain of Youth!

-Village of Troon-
Drops: Life Vial x4, Adventurer's Exploding Powder x40, Archer's Arrows x140,
       Archer's Darts x30, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x25,
Adept Magician's Protection Spell x5, Magician's Vision Spell,
       Warrior's Shock Wave x10, Magician's Healing Spell,
       Archer's Poisoned Bolas x10

Go north a bit to the village walls, but before entering, head east to get a
chest with [Life Vial x2, Gold Coins, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. If you go
west of the entrance along the outside wall you'll run into a lot of Wolves
and Werewolves. But there is a crack along side that wall that you can sneak
into town with and slowly defeat the Glores on guard. However, before you do
that, go west to the Forest of Troon.

-Forest of Troon-

We're not going to stay here long, just go north and push the block out of
the way. Enter the cave and there will be your Fountain of Youth! Come back
here when you need to heal (I bet you need to right about now). Also is a
chest with [Life Vial x4]. Go outside and back east to the Village of Troon.

-Village of Troon-

Inside the wall, you may notice some barrels that can be destroyed. Shoot
them from a distance to cause an explosion. Anyways, clear the town of any
and all monsters outside before going inside any of the buildings (this
includes taking out the cannons as well). A couple of things to remember to
pick up are the Archer's Darts the Adept Magician's Protection Spell, and the
Magician's Vision Spell.

After the village is free from the monsters, time to do some exploring. From
the entrance to the village, go west and enter the first house on the south
side. Go down to the basement and on the south side, have your Warrior push
the bookcase aside to let the Archer go into the {narrow pass}. Open the
chest with [Life Vial x2, Iron Key]. Come back out and unlock the Iron Door.
In the northwest corner of the room is a blue button, so make sure to press
it. Take the warp to the Secret Crypt.

-Secret Crypt-
Drops: Adventurer's Poison x10, Archer's Arrows x20, Archer's Darts x90,
Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20, Golden Key,
       Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10

Have Mac operate the Mechanism and a Zombie will appear. Kill it for some
Adventurer's Poison. There is a {secret door} just north of the Mechanism with
a warp to the cemetery. Before going taking it, there are 4 panels to step on
near 4 doors in the area. Though they won't open the door yet, when the one
on the other side of the door is pressed it will open it. Now go through the
warp.

-Village of Troon-

You'll be just outside the cemetery now. Go into the cemetery watchman's house
but do not speak to him. On the north wall are two switches. Switch them to
open the gate. Take the ladder on the west side upstairs for two chests,
one with [Life Vial x2, Iron Key] and the other with [Life Vial x2,
Magician's Protection Spell x5]. Go back outside and walk into the cemetery.
Walk around and take out all the Zombies. Here you will get the Magician's
Healing Spell. Though the spell is weak, it is unlimited so you will at least
be able to heal somewhat even if you run out of Life Vials.

To the west of the Northwest Crypt is two buttons, and to the north and east
of the Northeast Crypt is another two. Push them all and enter the northeast
crypt.

-Northeastern Crypt-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x20, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,
       Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10

Make your way into the northern room, killing any Zombies that come your way.
Work the Mechanism and the Strength Button and then check the Death Alter to
open the passage to the Secret Crypt again.

-Secret Crypt-

As soon as you walk out of the corner you're in, you'll fight Zombies. Press
the buttons on the east and west sides by the doors then go north. Step on the
buttons on the west and east side of this room (the door to the east should
open) and press the red button. Go through the portal to the cemetery again
and make your way to the southwestern crypt.

-Southwestern Crypt-
Drops: Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Archer's Arrows x30

Go north and fight the Zombies, then west. Shoot the target, operate the
Mechanism, and push the Strength Button. Make your way east to the {weak
wall} and destroy it. Go east and kill the Zombies. Open the chest with a
[Life Vial x2, Warrior's Throwing Axes x10]. Take the portal to the secret
crypt again.

-Secret Crypt-

To the west of where you are is a {secret door} that when you push will open.
Push the Blue Button there and head back. Press the button on the eastern side
by the door then walk north. Push the buttons to the north and east of the
portal leading back out (the door to the east should open). Have your Magician
read the incantation. Just south of the Incantation is a {weak wall} that
has a Strength button to push. Go back out and take the portal back to
Southwestern Crypt where that northern locked door was open. Go in it and take
the portal back to the Secret Crypt.

Go west and push the button near the door. On your way back is a {secret door}
on the north side of the wall near the button. Have Mac operate the Mechanism
inside and then walk back east. Press the button near the door there. Now on
the north side of the wall is a {secret door} with [Life Vial x2, Adept
Warrior's Shield]. Take the portal to the cemetery. This time, take the
Northwestern Crypt.

-Northwestern Crypt-
Drops: Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Archer's Arrows x30, Archer's Darts x30
       Warrior's Fire Belt x5

Unlock the door with the Iron Key and kill the Zombies inside. Take the stairs
to the cellar. Kill the Zombies and go south to another room with Zombies.
Have the Magician read the incantation and open the chest with [Life Vial x2,
Warrior's Shock Wave x10, Gold Coins]. Press the red and blue buttons on the
sides of the door. Go into the main hallway then west. On the south is a
{Narrow Pass} with a button to step on, and on the north is a {Narrow Pass}
with a warp to the Secret Crypt. Take the portal.

-Secret Crypt-

Since the Archer is alone, equip the Crossbow. Kill the Zombie that appears
and knock down the {weak wall} on the east side. Push the button inside and
use a Marker to remember to come here with your Magician for the Incantation.
Go back west and push the button near the door to open that. Go north and kill
the Zombies, pushing the button near the west door, the north door (it will
open) to the east of the north door, and the button to the east of the portal.
Take the nearby portal to the northwestern crypt.

-Northwestern Crypt-

Go west to the end of the hall near the Phantom Generator (which you can't
touch yet). In the south room is a Mechanism and a chest with [Life Vial x2]
and another with [Life Vial x2]. In the north room is a strength button. The
door behind the Phantom Generator will open. Read the Incantation near the
newly opened door to activate the Generator. Kill it to get a Warrior's Fire
Belt. Go west and open the chests with [Life Vial x2, Gold Coins] and
[Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Take the portal to the secret crypt.

-Secret Crypt-

Kill the Zombies and press the buttons to the east and south. Go west and push
the button near that door to the south of the portal. To the west of the
portal is a {secret door} with a button to push. Now that a lot if not all of
the doors are open, send your Magician to the flag that you set near the
Incantation and then have it read. This should open a door if you've done
everything right. The door is at the far south end of the crypt and you'll see
the real Cemetery Watchman. Give him the Seal of Dissidents and he will tell
you to go to the Mill's cellar and gives you the Gold Key to get there. Make
your way back to the Village of Troon.

-Village of Troon-

Time to go house visiting. Visit the house on the southwest side and talk to
Flabby inside. He sends Glores to attack you, one of them drops some Archer's
Poisoned Bolas (hang onto these, as they will come in handy against a tough
boss). Exit and head north from there to the Village Chieftain's House. Since
you should have plenty of Gold, buy a Seal of the Dissidents from
the Chieftain. In the cellar is a [Life Vial x4, Stone Key]. Exit the house
and go to the house to the east of it. Talk to the Flabby and he'll send more
monsters after you. If Mac needs some armor, you can buy an Adventurer's
Breastplate from the shopkeeper in the northern end of town for a bag of Gold
Coins. To the east of the shop is a house with another Flabby and monsters.

You can check out the other houses if you'd like, but there isn't much to them.
Go to the cemetery again and enter the southeast crypt. There isn't much to
it, just a chest with [Life Vial x2, Gold Coins, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20].
Exit and head towards the Village Mill in the northwest side of town. Use the
Gold Key to open the door.

-Village Mill-
Drops: Lead Cube

Destroy the barrels on the northwest side of the room and press the button.
This will open a trap floor for you to go down into the cellar with. Press
the button near the ladder and go east. Send your Archer through the {Narrow
Pass} to the north on your way for a chest with [Life Vial x3]. Go back east
and take the northern path. Press the button and destroy the barrels to the
east of that button to reveal another one to press down. This will open the
door to the south room. Go there with your Warrior and have him press the
Strength Button. This will open the door to the eastern room. Talk to the
crafty rebel and he will give you a Lead Cube. Follow east and take the ladder
back outside.

Go south through the crack in the wall and then west to the Forest of Troon.

-Forest of Troon-
Drops: Adventurer's Poison x10, Ruby

If you need to heal go back to that hole that you were in earlier. From that
hole, go north until you see a fence to your east. Destroy it and grab the
chest with [Explosive Crossbow Bolts x15]. Head west from there and have the
Magician read the incantation to create a bridge. Cross the bridge and go to
the southwest corner of the map. Kill the wolves and move the block. Enter the
cave and open the chest for [Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Life Vial x4]. Exit
and head north until you see a Flat Stone. Place the Lead Cube on it to
creating a clearing going north. Talk to the Rebel Leader and he will give
you a Ruby. Take the portal which takes you back to the east side of the
river. Go north and push the block at the northern end of the map. Enter the
cave you open.

-Ferryman's Den-
Drops: Magician's Invisibility x10, Archer's Darts x60

Hopefully by now your characters are leveled up to 3. If your Archer is at
3, you can go through the {narrow pass} at the southern end of the room to get
a chest with [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Iron Key]. Press the
button and go back to the rest of the party. Have your Archer go west and
unlock the Iron Door to the north. Have Mac operate the Mechanism inside and
take the warp into the secret crypt again.

-Secret Crypt-

Kill the Zombies and push the button to the east. Go west and push those
two buttons. On the south side of this hallway is a {weak wall}. Destroy it
and enter for a chest with [Life Vial x3, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5].
Press the Red Button as well as the nearby two gray ones to open the doors.
Go back and take the portal back to the Ferryman's Den.

Make your way to the northwest room. Open the chest with [Stone Key,
Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Take the portal to the secret crypt.

-Secret Crypt-

Push the 3 gray buttons and the red button, then read the incantation on the

Using the Stone Key, unlock the Stone Door to the south. Press the Red Button
in the corner, then take the portal to the secret crypt.

-Secret Crypt-

Strength Button and then the gray button near the door. Go south to the newly
opened room and grab the [Life Vial x2, Adventurer's Healing Potion,
Adventurer's Magic Saber]. You definitely want to equip the Magic Saber, as
it is more powerful than the Katana. Head back to the Ferryman's Den.

-Ferryman's Den-

Open the golden door with the Golden Key. As you do, the Phantom Generators
will appear again. Kill them and grab the items, then go through the door
you just opened. Put the Ruby in the Stone Alter and the Ferryman will
appear. Talk to him then jump onto the boat. Enter the house.

-Necromancer's House F1-
Drops: Stone Key

Talk to the Necromancer inside. He says that he's a fake and that the real
one has been captured by Garkham. Kill the Glores that attack. Go east
and around to the north room. Kill the Phantom Generator to get the Stone Key.
Send your archer over to the west to get the chest with a [Adventurer's
Healing Potion x5, Iron Key] from the chest. Go back to the north room and
use the Stone Key on the Stone Door. Go down the stairs.

-Necromancer's House B1-
Drops: Warrior's Mines x10, Archer's Arrows x60, Adventurer's Poison x10

First off, send the one with the Iron Key west then north to unlock the Iron
Door. Grab the chest for [Life Vial x4] and press the button to stop the traps
on the first floor. Take someone and go back upstairs to press the button in
the west room to turn off the gas traps that are going to appear pretty soon.
One at a time, starting with your Archer, send him down to the south room where
a chest waits with a [Life Vial x3]. Step on the button to the east of it. Now
send your Magician west to the newly opened room to read the Incantation. Send
them both back to the rest of the party then with the whole group, go east
to the big room. Make sure to grab the Warrior's Mines from the monsters that
attack (definitely the most powerful weapon-type in the game). Push the red
button in this room. Send Mac east to the machine room and switch the Strange
Machine. Destroy the {weak wall} in the northeast corner and grab the
[Life Vial x4] inside. Send Mac back to the big room. Go south. On the
southeast corner of the room there is a {secret door}. Go in and continue
south for another {secret door}. Push the button to open the door going east
from the last room. Go back to that room and go east. Sending one person at
a time (and making sure to hit the 4th blue button hidden behind the door)

       Archer's Arrows x80, Adept Warrior's Breastplate, Archer's Darts x30

*The game incorrectly names the Adept Warrior's Breastplate. In reality, it
should be the Adept Adventurer's Breastplate as only Mac Bride can equip it.

Back outside, time to work your way out of this swamp. Go west of the house
and shoot the switch in the water to form a bridge. Go west and hit the switch
to form a bridge just a bit east from there to a chest with [Life Vial x4,
Archer's Arrows x30]. Go back across the bridge and then straight north. Shoot
the switch to your northeast to form a bridge north to a chest with [Life
Vial x2, Archer's Arrows x40]. Head back across the bridge then west. At
the fork, go north then east. Shoot the switch to form a bridge to the north,
then cross that. Shoot the next switch you come to and go south across that
new bridge for [Life Vial x4, Adventurer's Healing Potion x5].

Go back north across the bridge and then east. Hit the switch and go south
across the new bridge. Kill the monsters and hit the next switch. The bridge
that appears is to the northwest of the switch and leads to [Life Vial x4,
Archer's Arrows x40]. Go back north and have your Magician read the incantation
near the Resurrection Panel. Cross the bridge to the east and hit the switch
to the south that you come across. Continue east and cross the bridge to a
chest with [Life Vial x4, Archer's Arrows x40]. Follow south and then west a
bit. Jump south across to the other side. Head south to the switch and hit it
to make a bridge appear to the east and west of the switch. Take the west
bridge for a [Life Vial x4, Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Go east now and

Necromancer's Swamp and take the northeastern path to Garkham's Castle. Push
the switch and have the rest of your party on the other side shoot the
monsters near the castle with their long range weapons. After the coast is
clear, have your Warrior cross the bridge he just built. Push the button in
front of the castle and send the rest of the party over. Unlock the door
with the Golden Key. Heal at the Fountain of Youth in this level and enter.

Equip your best distance weapons and take out the Captain of the Guards.
Watch out for the Enchanted Templar as you kill the 3 of them. After they are
dead, pick up the Power Potion, 3 Rapid Attack Potions, and 3 Travel Speed
Potions from the blue chest. Read the Incantation, push the Strength Button,
activate the Mechanism, and go through the {narrow pass} to press the button
to open the door to the next level.

any other colored switch yet, so place a marker near it if you want so you'll
remember to come back to it later. However, you can open the door by clicking
on it, so that and grab the [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Shock Wave x10]. In the
next western room are some monsters, one who drops an Adept Adventurer's
Katana! Much like the Adept Warrior's Axe, the Katana has twice as much power
as the original. If you go south some more, a monster will also drop some
Adept Adventurer's Exploding Powder (which doesn't offer much more power than
the original).

At the southwestern room is a chest with [Life Vial x2] and a Mechanism that
Mac can press. When he does, be ready for an ambush of Glores. Head east now

the lever on the Strange Machine. This will unlock the doors to the colored
switches that activate the colored boxes you've been placing markers by.

First off, go back to the Stone Door you unlocked (killing the Phantom
Generator on the way). You'll notice that now the door to the southwest of it
is now unlocked. Go inside, kill the monsters, press the red switch, and grab
the [Life Vial x2]. A room to the south of where you are is now open with the

that chest. From there head east to the northeast corner of the west side of
the basement. Open the chest with a [Life Vial] in it.

Walk south down the hallway. Keep an eye on the eastern wall, as there is
a {weak wall} about halfway down with [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Mines x10] in
it. Open the next {weak wall} in the room and grab the [Life Vial x2] from the
chest. Open the next {weak wall} to lead you to the hallway. Right across

Vial x4]. Go back west and north to yet another red box. Open the chest inside
for [Life Vial x4, Golden Key]. Exit the room and go north and east to the
red box there. Destroy the barrel inside and break down the {weak wall} for
a [Life Vial x2, Warrior's Shield]. Get everybody inside and have your Warrior
use the Strength Button. Captain of the Guards will appear in the previous
room so using your best weapons, take them out. Exit the room and go east.
Press the yellow box to open the room with [Life Vial x4]. Exit the room and
go west then south to the blue box. Open the chest inside for [Life Vial x2].

Exit the room and go south and you'll see the Golden Door. Before using the
key, to the east of the door in between the two chairs is a {secret door} that
takes you down to the first floor. Press the button down there and grab the
{Life Vial* x4, Power Potion] from the chest and go back up. Unlock the Golden
Door with the Golden Key. Grab the [Life Vial x4] from the chest and go up the
stairs.

-Battlements-
Drops: Archer's Darts x30, Adventurer's Poison x10, Archer's Arrows x80,
Life Vial x5, Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
Adept Archer's Dagger, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20,

From the stairs, go north and push the stone to the room on the east side.
Go down the hole to the 2nd floor and grab the [Life Vial x4] from the chest.
If you press the button in the room, you will open the door back to the floor.
Go back up and head north. Destroy the monsters and take the [Life Vial x4]
from the chest. Go west and watch out for the Standing Crossbow. Grab the
[Life Vial x2, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Go south and grab the
[Life Vial x4] from the chest. Go south to the southwest room and grab the
[Life Vial x4] from the chest again. Go east and take the [Life Vial] from
the chest]. Push the nearby block out of the way and send your Archer down the
hole to the 2nd floor. Take the [Life Vial x4] from the chest and go through
the {narrow pass} to get a [Life Vial x2, Iron Key]. Go back up the ladder.

Use the Iron Key on the Iron Gate. Grab the [Life Vial x2] and kill the
monsters there, which drop an Adept Archer's Dagger. Head east to the far east
side, grabbing the [Life Vial x4] from the chest. Go north and kill the slew
of monsters there. Grab the [Life Vial x4] from that chest and go north again.
Grab the [Life Vial x4] from the chest in the northeast corner room. From
here, head south a bit and you should see a stone to move. Send Mac down
there to operate the Mechanism. Grab the [Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,
Stone Key] from the chest. Go back up the ladder. Go west a bit to grab the
[Life Vial x2 from the treasure chest. From here, you'll want to now go
south. Take the 2nd room to the west and push the stone block. Go down the
hole and grab the [Life Vial x2, Iron Key]. Read the incantation and press the
switch near it to open the door. Send the rest of your party down the hole
to join you if you haven't already.

-Castle F2-

Head north to the northern side and then west (the door should now be open).
Grab the [Life Vial] from the chest and go west. Grab the [Life Vial, Archers
Arrows x30] in the chest. There is a stone door on either side in this
northern room, so open either one (it leads to the same room). Once it opens,
more monsters will appear. Grab the Golden Key when it drops and then open
the Golden Door nearby. Go up the stairs.

-Battlements-

To the west side of the stairs is a standing crossbow and a [Life Vial]. On
the east side is the same thing, a [Life Vial]. Open either Iron Gate with the
Iron Key and hammer the Captain of the Guards with everything you have. They
will drop Adept Magician's Fireballs. Press the blue button (which should open
the blue chest in the level) and press the gray button on the other side of it.
The chest contains [Life Vial x4]. Go back down to the 2nd floor and take
either of the stairs going to the first floor. Kill the rest of the monsters
on the floor and take the stairs down to the dungeon.

-Dungeon-
Drops: Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x40, Archer's Arrows x120,
Archer's Darts x120, Adept Archer's Vision Prism, Golden Key
Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x30,
Warrior's Shock Wave x30, Adept Magician's Invisibility x5, Iron Key,
Adept Magician's Rain of Fire Curse

Destroy the monsters that you come across and then destroy the {weak wall}
to the west with a [Life Vial x4]. Have your warrior head east to push the
bookcase out of the way and then push the switch. To the south of this room
is a {weak wall} with [Life Vial x4]. Go out of this room and east to the
newly opened room. Go north and take the [Life Vial x4] from the chest in the
room with the Krilon. From there, go east and a bit and destroy the barrel to
reveal a {weak wall} with [Life Vial x4] inside. Go out of the room, east and
then south. Kill the Phantom Generator to get an Adept Archer's Vision Prism.
Now make your way all the way west and kill the monsters and the Phantom
Generator inside for an Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5. Grab the chest
with [Life Vial x4] inside. Head back east and destroy the barrel in front
of the {weak wall} where inside is [Life Vial x4] and a blue switch. Press that
switch. Just to the south of this room is another {weak wall}. Destroy it and
enter the marsh.

Jump from floor to floor going east, making sure to hit the switch in the
water on your way over. Quickly go south and destroy the Phantom Generator,
grabbing the Golden Key on your way. Go south and you'll see a {weak wall},
but you'll have a hard time destroying it. Solution? Since there is a barrel
on the other side preventing you from breaking it, use either some
Explosive Powder, or the Rain of Fire Curse. Inside, open the chest with
[Life Vial x4]. Have your warrior push the bookcase aside and grab the
[Life Vial x4] inside. Return to the party and go east, south, and west
following the path. When the path widens to the west, there is a {weak wall}
to the south with [Life Vial x4] inside. Go west to the fork and then south.
Follow to a chest with [Life Vial x4, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20].
Follow west, north, then west again to an area full of monsters. The
Phantom Generator drops an Adept Magician's Invisibility. Shoot the switch
to the east of the Phantom Generator. Head west from where the Phantom
Generator was. Ignore the Golden Door for now and head to the hall to the
south. Destroy the barrel to open the {weak wall} with a [Life Vial x4] inside.
Open the Golden Door with the Golden Key.

Have your Archer hit the switch on the other side of the water. Cross the
formed bridge and stay close to the rocks which will shield you from the
fire traps while somebody crosses over to the west and presses the button on
the other side of the water. Have your Archer aim for the northwest corner of
the room where the button is to form the bridge. Cross over to the door. On
the western hallway going north is a {weak wall} behind a barrel. Send on
person in to press the red button. Place a Blazing Torch (since you don't
need it anymore) on the gray button. This will open the nearby door. On the
south side of the southern hallway is a bookcase that can be pushed with a
[Life Vial x4] inside. Go north to the door you just opened. Grab the
[Life Vial x4, Stone Key] from the final (thankfully) chest in the level. Take
the warp that appears.

Head southeast a bit to the stone door. Unlock it with your Stone Key and
destroy the Phantom Generator. Press the blue boxes to unlock each of the
doors in the prison. There are two Knights to talk to in the prison. One
of them drops an Iron Key. The Iron door is to the north of the prison.

Clear the monsters in the area of the Soul Robbing machine. Don't press the
button near the door you entered yet, just make sure to defeat the monsters.
When you're ready, move everybody close to the button and then press it.
The Soul-robbing machine activates and many Enchanted Templars will attack.
Lure them to your side away from the Soul-Robbing machine and blast away with
your best weapons. One of the templars drops an Adept Magician's Rain of
Fire Curse. Once you have that, the Soul-Robbing Machine is easy to defeat.

An Alternate Strategy is to use the Invisibility Spell on your Warrior and
just have him run up and use his Mines and just hammer away at the Templars,
then return when the spell runs out.

Once it is dead, send Mac, your Warrior, and Magician west through the door.
Activate the Mechanism, read the Incantation, and press the Strength Block.
Send your Archer east to the {narrow pass} with a gray button to press. This
will open the door to the stairs going up. Take the nearby warp and then up
the stairs you land in front of.

-Top Floor-

In the south side of the room is the blue chest with Travel Speed Potion x3,
Rapid Attack Potion x4, and Power Potion. Talk to the hanging Necromancer in
the northern part. He will tell you that Garkham is part of a league of
evil sorcerers and they are searching for the Legendary Book of Hexplore,
which is inside the city of Pal-Dul-Dan in the Middle East. He explains why
the Crusades were formed in the first place. Once done talking to him, go
east to the portal to the next level.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
e. Level 5 - Istarun
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11 Secrets, 38 Chests, !Fountain of Youth!

-Port of Istarun-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x40, Archer's Poisoned Bolas x20, Life Vial x5,
       Gold Coins x2

Talk to the Fisherman just to the east of where you are. Give him some Gold
Coins and he will tell you how to get into the Caliph's palace where Garkham
is. He gives you some Serpent Grass to give to Khanzi in the small marketplace
who can help more. If you need some Gold Coins, destroy the box to the east
of the fisherman on the far side and you will get some.

Don't bother talking to the women in this town, as they do not understand
English. If you head north from where you started you'll be in the small
marketplace. To the east of the pool is a camel, who when you talk to gives
you a life bonus of 10 HP (use it as many times as you want to restore your
HP to full... though it could take a while). Give Khanzi the Serpent Grass
and he will tell you to meet with Khan Shanki, the town strong man. He says
to go see an old man named Drys west the big marketplace. Enter the Tavern
to the west of Khanzi. Go to the basement and grab the [Life Vial x4] from
the chest on the north side, then exit the tavern. Wander around town and
destroy whatever Brigads you can. Take the northwest exit to the Market.

-Grand Market-
Drops: Adept Adventurer's Exploding Powder x10, Life Vial x3, Gold Coins x2,
       Archer's Arrows x40

Western Soldiers are all over the town. There are more boxes here that can
be destroyed for Life Vials and Gold Coins, one is to the very west of the
map, one is in the northwest corner by a Passer-By, and one is near the
center of town north of a house (standing in broad daylight). Inside the
house near this box is a chest containing [Life Vial]. Also here is a man
who will sell you a Life Vial for some Gold Coins. The house at the south
end of town has a merchant selling 10 Explosive Crossbow Bolts for some
Gold Coins. The house also has [Life Vial x4] and right to the south of
the chest is a ladder which leads to a Fountain of Youth!!! I would definitely
place a Marker near this house so that you remember where it is.

Head to the Northwest of the Grand Market and talk to the man named Drys.
Give him a purse of Gold Coins to get a Competitors Bracelet. Head back to
the port of Istarun.

-Port of Istarun-
Go to the Tavern and give the Competitors Bracelet to the Clerk. He will open
the door to the first arena. Go to the basement and then enter the western
door.

-Qualifying Arena-
Drops: Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20, Warrior's Fire Belt x5,
       Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20

The monsters here take a bit more to kill than the guards on the outside, so
be careful.

In the very southwest corner of this map is a Blue Button, so make sure to step
on it. To the north of the button is a chest with [Life Vial x4, Warrior's
Mines x10]. From this chest, head northeast. Destroy what monsters are there
and ignore the chest for now. Have everyone back away to the far northwest
corner and have your Magician and Warrior go near the chest. Use Invisibility
on both and open the chest. Destroy the Krilons that appear quickly and grab
the Necklace and Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5. Now head east to the
next chest, containing [Life Vial x4, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Adept
Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Finish exploring then head back to the Clerk.

Give the Necklace to the Clerk and he will open the eastern door in the
basement. If you need to heal at the Fountain, do so now. When you are ready,
take the eastern door in the basement.

-Arena of Champions-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x60, Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20,
Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20, Warrior's Fire Belt x10

Start off the same as last time by heading west. Watch out for the Golems as
their fire can really hurt your party. Circling around the parameter, you
will first see a chest with [Life Vial x3], then to the north of this is
another [Life Vial x3]. To the east of this chest is a {weak wall} with a
[Life Vial x3] inside. There is also another {weak wall} near the northwest
corner with [Life Vial x4] and a Blue Button in the corner.

Continue to circle the arena, but don't open the northern-most chest yet.
About halfway down on the east side of the arena, check out the {weak wall} on
the west side of the hallway to get [Life Vial x4, Adept Adventurer's Mines
x10]. Check out the very center of the map to get [Adept Archer's Crossbow],
which has twice as much power as the original. To the south of this chest a
ways you should see a {weak wall} with [Life Vial x3] inside.

When you are ready, get everybody near the northern chest. Open it and 4
Golem will appear to both sides. Use the Rain of Fire Curse and the new
Crossbow to rid of them quickly. Grab the [Adept Magician's Invisibility x5,
Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5, Chalice] from the chest. Take the
portal back to the port.

-Port of Istarun-
Head south of the Tavern and give the Chalice to the Ill-Tempered Keeper. He
will let you in. In the northeast room is [Life Vial, Archer's Arrows x20].
Take the door to the west to the garden to speak with Khan Shanki. He gives
you a Stone Key and asks that you bring him the Drink of the Dead from Erlik's
house which is located in the Grand Market in the Northeast Corner. Use the
Stone Key to open the door.

-Erlik's House-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x20, Warrior's Mines x10

Nothing big here as far as monsters go. There is a chest in the northwest
side with [Warrior's Mines x10, Life Vial x3, Adept Adventurer's Healing
Potion x5]. Just kill everything in there until you get the Potion of the
Dead. Head back to Khan Shanki.

-Port of Istarun-
Give Khan Shanki the Potion of the Dead and he will ask you now to get the
Genie's Lamp from Erlik's Headquarters. Leave the house and take the northeast
exit to the Gardens of Istarun.

-Grand Gardens of Istarun-
Drops: Archer's Darts x30, Archer's Arrows x100, Life Vial x4, Gold Coins x2,
       Archer's Poison Bolas x10

There are a few boxes here as well, one near the west side, one in the
northwest side, one in the northeast side, and one near Khan Shanki's guard
on the east side. Enter the house to the northeast. Kill the monsters there
and grab [Life Vial x4] and [Life Vial, Archer's Arrows x20, Explosive
Crossbow Bolts x10]. To the west of this house are two towers. First enter
the western tower. Kill the Western Soldiers here and go upstairs to a chest
with [Adept Adventurer's Breastplate, Archer's Arrows x30, Life Vial x4].
Now head to the east tower. Do the same thing here and on the 2nd floor is
[Life Vial x4, Adept Archer's Shurikens]. Exit the tower.

Head to the southeast of town and talk to the guard there that is aligned with
Khan Shanki. Enter the building.

-Erlik's Headquarters-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x20, Warrior's Shockwave x10

A swarm of Brigands will attack you right off, so make sure you hold them
off with some Rain of Fire Curse. In the northeast corner is [Life Vial x4,
Adventurer's Poison x10]. Kill everything and take the eastern door to the
garden. Kill anything there then when the coast is clear, open the chest.
Erlik will appear, but don't fear, as a few swift attacks will kill him
easily. The chest contains [Life Vial* x4, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion
x10]. Erlik also drops the Genie's Lamp. Head back to Khan Shanki.

-Port of Istarun-
Give Khan the Genie's Lamp and he will give you Ahmed's Paper, which he asks
you to take to Ahmed, who is in the smoking parlor in the Grand Market.

-Grand Market-
Enter the smoking hut and pay the Clerk some Gold Coins. Enter the room
nearby and give Ahmed his papers. He will give you an Iron Key in exchange.
Heal at the Fountain of Youth if you need to, then go to the Iron Gate at the
south end of town. Open it with the Iron Key.

-Storehouses-
Drops: Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Adept Archer's Darts x60, Life Vial x11
Adept Adventurer's Blade, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x10
       Archer's Arrows x80, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5,
Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20, Adept Sorcerer's Cape,
       Adept Adventurer's Poison x10

You'll come across some Brigands right off the bat. However, you should be
able to get some upgraded darts and a Blade as well. There are also quite a
few boxes here that contain life vials. The Brigands won't give you much
trouble so make sure you take your time and collect everything, including the
Sorcerer's Cape. When you are ready, head to the southwest corner. Rain of
Fire Curse works well against the mob here, and when all is said and done,
enter the sewers.

-Sewers of Istarun-
Drops: Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10, Archer's Arrows x80, Warrior's Mines x10,
Adept Archer's Poisoned Bolas x10, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x10,

Make sure you step on the Blue Button in the east corner upon entering. Head
west and keep an eye out for the {Weak Wall} to the south. Send your Archer
in there, avoiding the gas traps and hit the switch. Don't go any further
yet. Head back to the party and head west some more, making sure to grab the
Adept Warrior's Shockwave on the way. At the end of the path you should see
another {weak wall} to the south, but it was already open when you opened the
first one, so enter it. Have Mac operate the Mechanism to open a door. Go
back to the hallway and take the {narrow pass} with the Archer. Equip the
Crossbow and let loose on the Golems quickly. Make sure to grab the Adept's
Poisoned Bolas (which is 4 times more powerful than the original). Grab
the chest with [Life Vial* x4, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Step
on the Gray Stone in the southeast corner before heading back. Now head back
to the party and go back south through the weak wall that you had opened
earlier. Kill the Golems and operate the Mechanism to make a bridge appear to
the north. Now have one member stand on the Red Button to the southeast of
the room to deactivate the spike walls.

Have your Magician read the Incantation on the newly formed bridge, then have
your Warrior go across the new bridge to use the Strength Panel. This will
open the door that the spiked walls in the southern area were near. Before
going to the door, use a Marker on this area to keep this in mind. Go to the
door and kill the Golem. Equip your best equipment and go through the portal.
Prepare for a Golem Ambush as you quickly dispose of them.

Push the gray button in the corner and have your Warrior use his Strength
on the button to the south of the door. Go through the door and enter the
room to the north to grab [Life Vial* x4]. Read the Incantation and continue
west until you see a door that is locked by electricity. By this door is a
{narrow pass}, so equip the Crossbow and send your Archer in there. However,
don't head too far west yet (you will see the marks on the floor). Send your
Warrior over to where I told you to mark before. Stand next to the Red Button
in the area. Now back to your Archer, step on the discolored floor to activate
the saw traps. Back to the Warrior, step on the Red Button to deactivate those
traps. Continue west to the narrow pass, but pick off the Golems with the
Crossbow before going any further.

Open the chest with [Life Vial* x4, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5].
Step on the gray button to open the door... however, it's not the door you
need to open. Go east and pick off the Golems again with the Crossbow. Wait
patiently there.

Take the rest of your party and go to the center hallway. Just north of the
eastern-most weak wall that you opened is the newly opened door. Kill the
Golem and enter the portal to be reunited with the Archer. Have your Warrior
press the strength button in this room and the room to the west to open the
door. Enter this door that leads to the Cellars of the Palace.

-Cellars of the Caliph's Palace-
Drops: Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Iron Key

The enemies shouldn't give you too much trouble here as they mostly attack
head on. Go north to grab the [Life Vial* x4, Adept Magician's Protection
Spell x5]. Head south to the center room and press the gray button in the
southeast corner. Go to the room south of there to get the Iron Key from
the Saracens. Enter the western room and use the Iron Key on the door. Go
up the stairs.

-First Floor of the Caliph's Palace-
Drops: Adept Archer's Darts x30, Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20,
       Archer's Arrows x80, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10

Head north and make your way to the south-eastern room. In the northeastern
corner of the room is the last blue button, so make sure you hit it. Now
head north to the eastern room. Aside from the monsters, there are two chests,
containing [Life Vial* x4, Stone Key] and [Life Vial* x4]. Next head to the
northeast corner for [Life Vial* x4]. Make your way west to the Northwest
corner where there is an Incantation and a {weak wall} on the eastern wall of
the room. Inside is [Life Vial* x4]. Now go southeast to the center room with
a chest containing [Life Vial* x4, Stone Key].

South of the center room is two more rooms. The Western-most room contains
the Blue Chest with the Power Potion x3, Rapid Attack Potion x4, and a
Travel Speed Potion. The Eastern room contains a {weak wall} on the east
side. Inside is [Adept Adventurer's Mines x20, Life Vial* x4]. Go to the
far southwest corner and use a Stone Key. Grab the [Adept Warrior's Throwing
Axes x20, Life Vial* x4] from the chest, then have the Warrior use his
strength on the button nearby.

Head back to the far north. The door should be open to a room containing a
Mechanism, so make sure to hit it. This will open the door to the 2nd floor.
Take the stairs near the northwest corner.

-Second Floor of the Caliph's Palace-
Drops: Archer's Poisoned Bolas x10, Iron Key, Adept Magician's Healing Spell,
Golden Key x2, Stone Key, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x10

Circle the floor until you've picked up all of the keys. Unlock the Iron Door
to get [Life Vial* x4], and unlocking the Stone Door to the east will result
in [Adept Adventurer's Mines x20, Life Vial* x4]. Unlock the Gold Door to the
south. Lay waste to the Caliphs of Istarun to obtain another Golden Key and
some Healing Potions. Unlock the next Gold Door and talk to the Western King,
who tells you to visit the Military Base. A warp appears nearby, so take it.

-Grand Gardens of Istarun-
If you need to heal, do so now at the Grand Market. The entrance to the
Military Barracks is at the southern part of town.

-Military Barracks-
Drops: Life Vial* x19, Archer's Arrows x80, Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10,
       Adventurer's Poison x10, Adept Archers Bolas x10,
Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,

There are plenty of life vials in the exploding jars, so make sure you grab
them all. Just explore the area watching out for the captains while making
your way to the southeastern corner where there is a house. Inside the house
is [Adept Warrior's Breastplate, Life Vial* x2]. Exit the house and head to
the large building in the center, which is the Western King's Headquarters.

-Western King's Headquarters-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x60, Adept Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
Golden Key, Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5,
       Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10

Head North from the entrance and kill the Western Captain. Have your archer
enter the {narrow pass} and press the gray button in the corner. Rejoin the
party and head south past the newly opened door. Once at the end, head east
and have your warrior press the strength button about half way down the hall.

Head back north to where the narrow pass was and head east. Enter the newly
opened door. Read the Incantation on the eastern wall, then head back to the
southern hallway. Walk through the new door and grab the [Life Vial* x4,
Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Activate the Mechanism to open the central
room, complete with Enchanted Templars ready to strike. However, you have to
go back to the northern hallways to enter the room.

I find that the easiest way to win is to use the Invisibility on the Archer
and let it go with the Poisoned Bolas, this will stun the templars and allow
you to easily kill them while remaining unharmed with the spell. Grab the
Golden Key and unlock the door. Finish off the remaining Captains. Grab the
remaining two chests, [Life Vial* x2] and [Life Vial* x2]. Before stepping
into the warp to the next level, make sure that you've gone to the Fountain
of Youth and healed up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
f. Level 6 - The Battlefront
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
20 Secrets, 28 Chests

-Military Camp of the Western Soldiers-
Drops: Adept Magician's Vision Spell, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20,
       Adept Archer's Bolas x10, Archer's Arrows x40, Warrior's Shockwave x10,
       Adept Adventurer's Poison x10, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20

Just a quick note before starting. You may see some catapults in this level.
You can use them to fire a quick shot at the enemy, but they only work once,
to if you're planning a strike, make sure you're ready to use it.

The first thing you'll want to do is to clear the map so that you can see
everything. There are a few new items here that are dropped, including the
much more powerful explosive powder. Once you've cleared everything, you'll
see a camp in the northwestern part of the map. Enter the Barracks. Kill
whatever monsters are in there and read the General's Journal. He mentions a
temple and four stones of power. Either way, exit the Barracks and head for
the northeast side by the stripe of water. Enter the cave and grab the
[Life Vial* x3] from within.

Southeast of this cave alongside the cliffs is a {weak wall}. Defeat the
Golems that are inside and go north. Operate the Mechanism and then send your
archer south. While trying to avoid the fireballs shot at you, move the 3
stone onto the 3 red buttons. Now move north to the pond. Shoot the two
switches and then jump into the whirlpool to find a Blue Button to hit. Come
back out and rejoin the party.

Go across the newly formed bridge. Kill the enemies on that side and grab
the chest with [Life Vial* x4, Stone of Power]. Right next to this chest is
a {weak wall}. Enter it and kill the Golems to obtain [Stone of Power,
Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x10]. Head out of the secret passage and
head north to a warp that takes you to an area with another Blue Button. Exit
this cave.

Head to the southern part of the map. Look along the western sides of the
cliffs until you see a {weak wall}. Enter this cave and collect the
[Life Vial* x3, Stone of Power] from the chest. Exit the cave. Head northwest
along the western side of the cliffs until you see another {weak wall}. Enter
this cave and head south to a chest with [Life Vial* x2]. Press the Gray
Button near this chest and head north to the water. Don't cross the bridge
just yet though. Have your Magician cast Invisibility on your Archer and have
your Archer equipped with the crossbow. Cross the bridge and kill the Golems
on the other side. Press the red button and grab the [Life Vial* x4, Stone of
Power] from the chest. Exit the cave.

Head back towards the Barracks but stop when you see a small cliff-like
structure towards the center of the map. Search the cliffs for a {weak wall},
then enter the cave. Go east towards the whirlpool, then send in (as usual)
the Archer into the whirlpool. This will take you to another part of
this cave. Jump into the next whirlpool to enter a room with another Blue
Button. After you hit it, come back out and press the {weak wall} to open it.
Pick off the Golems with the Crossbow, then grab the [Life Vial* x4,
Expert Magician's Invisibility] from the chest. To the south is yet another
{weak wall} with a chest containing [Adept Adventurer's Magic Saber, Adept
Adventurer's Healing Potion x10]. Exit the cave.

After leaving the cave, head east to the Battlefront.

-Battlefront-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x60, Adept Archer's Darts x30,
       Adept Warrior's Fire Belt x5, Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10,
Expert Adventurer's Katana, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
       Adept Warrior's Mines x10,

Here you will see plenty of small armies of western soldiers ready for battle,
so be prepared for them. The best way to handle them is that when you see them,
select Mac alone and throw some Mines and have them stick. Then lure them over
to you by shooting an arrow at them. Watch the mines destroy them without
taking a single bit of damage. Along the way you will find the Adept Warrior's
Fire Belt, which is twice as strong as the original. Once you've cleared out
the west side of the battlefield (since the east side is uncrossable due to
the river), head to the north side to the cliffs and break the {weak wall} to
enter.

On the south side of this cave is another {weak wall}. Cast Invisibility on
the Archer and have the Archer go in and step on the gray stone, then shoot
the target to disable the traps. Go across the bridge and pick up the
[Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Stone of Power] from the chest. Exit the
cave.

Make your way to the southern side of the map near the river on the east side.
Look for the {weak wall} in the cliffs. Grab the {Life Vial* x4] from the
chest. And jump into the Whirlpool on the south side. Press the last Blue
Button to unlock the blue chest in the center of the room. Grab the Rapid
Attack Potion, Travel Speed Potion x4, and Power Potion x3 then head back
out of the caves and to the battlefront.

Head to the center cliffs of the map and enter the cave already opened.

-Temple Buried in the Desert-
Drops: Adept Warrior's Mines x10, Adept Adventurer's Poison x10,
       Adept Adventurer's Mines x10

Quickly dispose of the Golems and grab the Adept Warrior's Mines here. Read
the Menhir then place 4 of the power stones on the altars. This will open
the path going east. Follow the path and have Mac operate the Mechanism.
This will open the other door in the room with the Stones of Power. Before
going back, along the east side is a {weak wall} with a chest containing
[Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Now head back to the door you just
opened. Kill the Golem and have your Warrior push the Strength Button, which
will open the door near the weak wall you just broke open. Kill the Golem
from the outside then send whoever has the last Stone of Power inside to the
alter and place it there to stop the fireballs. Operate the Mechanism inside,
which will open the door in the room where you just pushed the Strength button.

Cast Invisibility on the Magician and have the Magician go in alone with the
Wand equipped. Kill the Golem quickly and read the Incantation in the hallway
while avoiding the traps (though the Invisibility should help with that).
This will open the door near the Mechanism that you pushed last time. Go back
there. Send Mac into the room and kill the Golem, then operate the Mechanism,
which opens the door near the incantation (notice an annoying pattern here?).
Go back there and send your Warrior into that room. Push the Strength Button
to open the door near the last Mechanism. Press the Red button then head
down the hallway to the east. Kill the Golem and push that red button to
disable some traps. Meet with the party and go back to the door you just
opened.

Operate the Mechanism here to open another door, but before going back to
that one (which is near the last red button you pushed), go into the next
room and break down the {weak wall} that you just opened. Push the gray
button inside and open the chest for [Life Vial* x2, Stone of Power]. The
button opens the door near where you are which will reveal a small pool.
Go to that one. You'll notice that you cannot cross the pool, but if you jump
corners (click on one of the sides to have them jump to that, then jump over
to the other side) you can cross easily. Inside this room is another Mechanism
(which opens the door to the west side of the room) and a {narrow pass} with
a gray button (which opens the door to the north side of the room) and a
chest with [Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Go back to the group and
go through the western door. Read the two Incantations here to open the
remaining doors. Grab the [Life Vial* x4] from the chest, then exit the
temple through the northern door.

-Battlefront-

Just like on the other side, clear the area first (and make sure you get
that Expert Adventurer's Katana). Once cleared, enter the cave at the north
end of the map. Inside is a chest with [Life Vial* x3]. Exit the cave and
head south to the small pond. Near the pond in the cliffs is a {weak wall},
so press it and enter the cave. Dispose of the Golems and push the gray
button to open the chest with [Stone of Power, Life Vial* x4]. Exit the cave.

Head south from here and you should see a cave along the western side of the
cliffs. Enter the caves. There are plenty of monsters here and plenty of
traps, so it's probably best to send in your warrior or something alone to
handle this. Head to the northwest side and press the two targets. Open the
two chests with [Life Vial* x4] and [Life Vial* x4]. Exit the cave and head
back north to where the temple was. On the side of this cliff is a {weak
wall} which allows you to enter the cave. Open the chest inside for
[Life Vial* x3]. Exit the cave and head west to the Camp of the Saracens.

-Desert of the Saracens-
Drops: Expert Magician's Wand, Archer's Arrows x40, Expert Archer's Crossbow,
       Adept Adventurer's Poison x10, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
       Adept Archer's Bolas x10,

Just like the last few times, clear the map of the enemies and grab everything
that you can, including the Expert Magician's Wand and Expert Archer's
Crossbow (a bit more powerful than the adept's, but still enough to take
out anything in a shot or two). Once you cleared out everything, go back to
the ruins that you found when you entered the map. Push the big stone aside
and enter the hole.

-Temple Buried in the Desert-
Drops: Stone Key, Iron Key

Read the Menhir to find that a Stone of Power can stop traps. Ok, we've
figured that out once already. Head south and take the eastern path. Have
whoever has your Stone of Power fly solo for a moment to push the red button,
then jump across the pool to another red button, disarming the traps. Place
the Stone of Power on the Alter. Head to the south side to the Iron Door and
open it with the Iron Key you got. Clear the room of the monsters and use the
Stone Key on the southeast door. Open the chest for [Stone of Power,
Life Vial* x2, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Head back outside, but
take the western path this time. On your way up and before going outside
you'll notice a {weak wall} on the eastern side of the western hallway. Enter
it and kill the monsters to get a chest with [Stone of Power, Adept
Adventurer's Healing Potion x5]. Exit the temple.

-Desert of the Saracens-

Head to the southeast corner of the map. You'll see a cave here. Enter it.

-Temple Buried in the Desert-
Drops: Expert Warrior's Breastplate, Golden Key, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,
Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Expert Archer's Bow
Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10, Adept Archer's Darts x30, Iron Key,
       Adept Adventurer's Healing Potion x5

The Menhir says the same as the last one, which we already know about. Head
east, killing anything that you come across, making sure to grab both the
Expert Warrior's Breastplate and the Golden Key. In the room to the east,
step on the red button to stop the gas traps. Go into the hallway with the
traps you just turned off and press that red button. At the Resurrection
plate, head east with one of the characters and quickly press the red button
to stop the stone traps. Turn around and head west, then take the northwest
hallway. Watch out for these stone traps as you make your way down. About
halfway down the hallway on the south side is a {weak wall} with a chest
containing [Life Vial* x4]. Press the red button to stop these stone traps.
Now take the portal here to the north side of the temple.

You can go either east or south, but east is blocked off, so go south. On
the west side a little bit down you'll see a {weak wall} with [Life Vial* x3]
inside. Continue south to the Gold Door. To the east is another Gold Door,
but since they both lead to the same place, it doesn't matter which one you
take. Whichever one you take, make your way to the western gold door on the
other side. Press the Gray Button and open the chest for [Life Vial* x3].
Go directly south of here for a chest with [Life Vial* x4]. From here, go
east and enter the first northern room you come to that has an alter where
you can put the Stone of Power. Continue east and then north to the eastern
gold door. Kill anything there to get the Expert Archer's Bow. Head east
from here and then take the first path north. Use the Stone of Power on the
alter here.

Before heading east to the large room, you really only have to send in one
at a time. Send the person with the Stone of Power into the room. Head south
then east a bit until you see a small room with an alter for a Stone of Power.
Place it there and step on the gray stone behind it to open some doors. Go
back to the team and head towards the eastern gold door on the north side.
Take the warp back to the south side of the temple.

Head east to the newly opened room with the alter for a Stone of Power.
Keep everybody towards the west side to avoid the traps. Have your magician
press the gray button and then head into the large room alone. Have her cross
the bridge you just created and read the Incantation. Grab the chest with
[Life Vial* x2, Expert Magician's Invisibility x5]. Head back to the party.
Send your warrior along the southern side and cross the bridge. Head into the
room at the end and use the Strength Button. Open the chest with 4 Life Vials*
and 20 Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes (this one mysteriously isn't one of the
28 in this level). Join up with the party and take the warp back to the
north side of the map.

Head back to the room where you last placed the Stone of Power before entering
the large eastern room. Keep everybody safe here while you send Mac into the
large room. Cross the bridges to the east to find a Mechanism and a chest with
[Life Vial* x4]. Head back to the party and then send the Archer into the
room. Have the archer head to the northern side crossing the new bridge.
Step through the {narrow pass} and then through another {narrow pass}. Step
on the gray button to open the door to the north, then open the last chest,
containing [Life Vial* x4]. Meet back up with the party and then have the
party go back towards the portal to the south end, but this time head towards
the door you just opened. Equip your Archer with the Poisoned Bolas, your
Warrior with his Mines, and your Magician with her Rain of Fire Curse. Heal
up and then charge into battle with a 12000 HP Pharaoh! The Bolas will stall
him while the curse and the mines will destroy him quickly, leaving you
with an Iron Key and some Healing Potions. Use the Iron Door quickly and enter
the room to the portal to the next level.

g. Level 7 - Middle East Deserts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
35 Secrets, 59 Chests, !Fountain of Youth!
-Bedouin Camp-

There is more fighting than anything in this map, not much for drops other
than experience. Head to the east side to the camp and talk with the Nomads.
Also around here are some Camels who love to give 10 HP when you kiss them.
Just south of the camp is a cliff with a {weak wall}. Inside, shoot the
2nd most southern one to form a bridge. Walk over there to another {weak wall}.
Kill the newly powered Golems quickly (3000 hp a piece) and open the chest
with [Stone of Power x2, Life Vial* x4]. Exit the cave and head east.

-North of the Desert-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x60, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20,
Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10,
       Expert Warrior's Shield, Adept Archer's Bolas x10,
       Expert Adventurer's Poison x10,

Wander around to clear the map, grabbing everything including the Expert
Shield and Poison. In the central cliffs near the Resurrection plate is
a cave with, aside from the many Golems, a Fountain of Youth! Also inside
are two chests, [Life Vial* x3] and [Life Vial* x3]. Use the Fountain if you
need it and head outside (make sure you use a Marker once outside so you
remember where it is).

Towards the cliffs at the southwestern side is a {weak wall}. Enter the cave.
Inside this cave are plenty of Golems, so make sure to strike them down
quickly. At the east end, press the gray button to create a bridge, then
follow that bridge to another gray button to create a bridge to a chest with
[Life Vial* x3]. On your way back, go towards the north end of the cave and
destroy the {weak wall} to receive [Life Vial* x3]. Make your way back to
the entrance, but before exiting, the southern side has a {weak wall} with
a Golem and a [Life Vial* x3]. Exit the cave and take the Northwest path to
the Temple.

-Old Temple of the Northeast-
Drops: Expert Magician's Vision Spell, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,
       Archer's Arrows x20, Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion x20,
       Adept Adventurer's Mines x10, Expert Adventurer's Poison x10,
       Adept Warrior's Mines x10, Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x20

Head east a bit to the cave nestled in the cliffs. Inside is a chest with
[Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Life Vial* x3]. Exit the cave and head
southwest until you see the temple. Enter the temple and read the Menhir. It
will mention to find the paving stones leading to the quicksand. Kill the
Golems and send someone north. Flick the switch on the west side and push the
red button on the east side. Send the rest of the party to join. Be very
careful around here and take the western path to avoid one of the golems.
Kill the Phantom Generator quickly to get the new Vision Spell. On the wall
to the west side of this area is a Strength Button, so make sure to push it.
Head east and operate the Mechanism. From here go east and destroy the
Phantom Generator. South of here is a {weak wall} which leads to the central
room of lava. Send your fastest walker in there and hunt for the two gray
buttons, one you will find just east of the statue shooting fire at you and
the other is south of that near a treasure chest containing [Life Vial* x2,
Expert Magician's Invisibility x5]. Head back to the entrance area and this
time go south.

Head to the southwest corner near the alter for a Stone of Power. To the
west of it is a {secret door} with a [Expert Archer's Leather Vest,
Life Vial* x2] and a Mechanism for Mac to push. In the same room as the Alter
on the north side of the wall is another Strength Button to push. Push it
quickly then hurry east to destroy the Phantom Generator, which drops an
Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion. After killing it, hide in the little
nook to the north by the {weak wall}. After opening it, just stay put and
have Mac go back south and then east. Head back to the weak wall you just
opened and go north through it with just one character, having the others back
away to the sides out of the way of the fireballs. Step on the Blue Button
and open the chest with [Life Vial* x4]. Go back to the party and have the
Magician cast Invisibility on your lone character (preferably your Archer).
Give the user your strongest, yet fastest weapon and head back to that last
chest and go east. Crush the Golem and the Phantom Generator and open the
chest with [Adept Adventurer's Poison x10, Life Vial* x3]. Place a Stone of
Power on the Altar there and then have the party meet up there. Once the
area is clear, this is a safe place.

Going north from this area leads to a gray button to press. A bit north and
west of that is another gray button near a chest with [Archer's Arrows x20,
Life Vial*, Expert Adventurer's Blade]. From here, head directly south and
have the party join you. Open the {weak wall} and step aside of the door to
avoid the fire. Send the Warrior inside and press the Strength Button. From
here, just south of the fire statue is a [secret door] that you can open.
Equip the Mines and enter, destroying the two Golems with a mine and open the
chest for [Adept Warrior's Shockwave x10, Life Vial* x4]. Join the rest of
the party.

If you haven't already destroyed the Phantom Generator to the east, do so now.
Send your Archer over to the east and go through the {narrow pass}. Equip the
Crossbow and destroy the Golem. Open the chest for [Stone of Power,
Life Vial* x3]. Also make sure to step on the gray button in the corner.
Exit and have everybody head north, killing the other Phantom Generator
on the east side if you come across it. At the fork, go as far
west as you can and then go north, turning east a bit to kill the Phantom
Generator. Read the Incantation and head east then south, making sure to open
the {weak wall} on the east side of the wall to reveal another Incantation
and [Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Life Vial* x3]. Head out of
that room and then head east as far as you can go to the Phantom Generator.
Read the Incantation and start to head back west, but before you do, there is
a {secret door} to the south that you should press to enter. Grab the
[Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Life Vial* x3] from the chest and
press the Strength Button. Once you press it, head out of the temple.

Once out, head back to the map to the west.

-North of the Desert-

Use the Fountain of Youth here if you need to heal, then head south to the
Middle Desert.

-Middle of the Desert-

Clear the map and then head towards the center of the desert. On the western
cliffs on the eastern side of those cliffs is a {weak wall} and inside the
cave is [Life Vial* x3, Adept Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Exit the cave and
head south to the camp of Garkham's Knights.

-Encampment of Garkham's Knights-
Drops: Life Vial* x2, Adept Warrior's Fire Belt x10, Archer's Arrows x100,
Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20, Expert Archer's Dagger,
Expert Adventurer's Breastplate, Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion x5,
       Adept Archer's Darts x30

Upon entering this map, you'll be attacked by Glores and some Enchanted
Templars. Dispose of them quickly as they can still hurt. However, they do
leave behind the Expert Magician's Fireballs and Adept Archer's Dagger.
Clear the rest of the area out first, though there isn't much left. Heal at
the Fountain of Youth if you need to, then head east.

-Eastern Quicksands-

The first thing you'll want to do is go north and take the portal in the
northwest corner back to the Old Temple of the Northeast. Kill the Golem and
press the gray button. Leave the temple through the door to the west (long
walk, I know). Take the portal outside, then take the portal back to the
central oasis. Walk back east to the quicksands.

Along the north side of the map should be a bridge leading down to a chest
with [Life Vial* x3, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10]. Further towards the
northeast corner should be a bridge that leads to [Life Vial* x3, Archer's
Arrows x20]. On the south side should be a bridge leading to a chest with
[Life Vial* x4, Adept Warrior's Mines x10]. After getting these three chests,
take the bridge on the west side and follow it (you should pass a
Resurrection plate along the way) to a temple. Cast Invisibility on your
Archer and send him in alone with the Crossbow.

-Eastern Temple-
Drops: Expert Adventurer's Healing Potions x25, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20,
       Expert Sorcerer's Protective Cape

Destroy the Golems with the Crossbow. Head back out and get the rest. Keep
in mind that this will be painful because of all the fireball traps, so make
sure you be very careful. Head east until you see a Phantom Generator and
some Golems. Destroy them and give your Archer a Stone of Power. Have her
go inside the {narrow pass} and quickly place one in the altar, then grab
the [Life Vial* x3, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10]. Join the
party and head south then east, making sure to activate the Mechanism on the
way. Destroy the Golems and the Phantom Generator. After killing them, this
area becomes a safe place if you used the Stone of Power. Press the gray button
nearby and then open the {weak wall} to the east. Destroy the Golems inside
and grab the [Life Vial* x4, Archer's Arrows x20]. Rejoin the party and head
south to the southeast corner. Along the southern wall is a {secret door}
with some Golems and a chest with [Life Vial* x4, Expert Adventurer's
Explosive Powder x10]. Press the Strength Button to open another door, then
head west. Destroy the Phantom Generator on the way. Enter the room to the
south and destroy the Golems. Inside is a {weak wall} and inside that room is
a chest with [Life Vial* x4, Archer's Arrows x20]. Back to the last room
before you entered the weak wall room, read the Incantation to open the door
to the south, filled with Phantoms and another Phantom Generator. East of the
Phantom Generator is a {secret door} that leads to some Golems and
another {secret door} to the east. Kill the Golem inside and press the gray
button in the corner, then grab the [Life Vial* x4] from the chest.

Head back to the room that you last killed the Phantom Generator in, then
head south to the Altar to Pal-Dul-Dan. Press it to activate it, then destroy
the {weak wall} to the south of it. Head inside and follow the hallway. When
given the option to go straight or north, go north and follow west to a
{secret door} in the northern wall. Kill the Golems and press the Red button
inside, then grab the [Life Vial* x2, Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x20].
Exit and head west, then north to the Phantom Generator. Destroy it then
press the Strength Button to open a few doors. Go east through both doors
and follow the path given until you reach a chest with [Valve Wheel, Life
Vial* x2]. In this same room in the corner is a gray button, so make sure
you step on it. South of here is a chest with [Adept Adventurer's Mines x10,
Life Vial* x4]. Head back to the Strength Button, then have someone fly solo
for a little bit. Since you have completed the loop in this area, have
someone go back into the lava room and cross the northwestern bridge to
push the Blue Button. To the south of this blue button is a chest with
[Life Vial* x2, Adept Archer's Bolas x10]. Head to the northeast now, making
sure to cross the bridges and killing the Golems. Open the chest with
[Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion x5] and step on the blue button.

-------
UPDATE: If you haven't found it in your travels, once everything is
cleared, in the far northwestern part of the map is the Expert Sorcerer's
Protective Cape. I myself have not found it, but I have seen proof of it.

THANKS: to Matias Lung and R. Agsten for showing me the location of this
item.
-------

Once you have those, exit out of here.

-Eastern Quicksands-
Head back west to the campsite. Since I'm sure you'll need it, head north to
the Fountain of Youth, then back to the camp. You'll want to end up west of
the camp to the Western Quicksands.

-Western Quicksands-

You will first want to go south towards the southeast corner. Around here
is a warp to the Old Northeast Temple again. Take it and push the gray
button. Open the chest with [Life Vial* x2, Expert Archer's Shurikens]. Make
sure to grab the Shurikens, as they are twice as powerful. Step outside the
room and take the portal back to the quicksands.

From the portal, if you go west you'll see a bridge to the north. Take it
and go west across that bridge for [Life Vial* x3, Archer's Arrows x20].
From here, go east all the way then north to the chest with [Life Vial* x4,
Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10]. Cross the bridge to the north and
head west. Take the 2nd bridge you come to for a chest with [Life Vial* x3,
Adept Warrior's Fire Belt x10]. Head back across the bridge and go east to
the bridge you just crossed. Go south then take the bridge going west to
reach the Temple.

-Western Temple-
Drops: Expert Warrior's Shield, Expert Adventurer's Poison x10,
       Expert Adventurer's Healing Potions x15,
Expert Magician's Protection Spell x5, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,

Head east to the gray button and step on it. Head south and break down the
{weak wall} on the east side to grab [Life Vial* x3, Archer's Arrows x20].
Exit and head south to the altar for a Power Stone, which you should place
one there. Head south and make sure you destroy the Lava Spirits quick (a
nice swift kick with a Crossbow bolt should do the trick). Continue south
to the Phantom Generator and grab the [Life Vial* x4, Expert Warrior's
Throwing Axes x20] from the chest. Push the Strength button and mark this
lava room off with a Marker so you'll remember to come back later.

Head to the northwest corner of the map and destroy the Phantom Generator
and grab the [Life Vial* x3] from the chest. Read the Incantation from the
door and have someone walk east for a bit past the fire statue. North of
this statue is a {secret door} with a gray button and a chest with
[Life Vial* x3] inside. Still slow, head south to the blue button that you
couldn't press in the lava room. A bridge is now available, so make sure to
press it to open up the blue chest finally. Now to find it. Send someone
solo to the east of the entrance, then push the blocks to the north and to
the east and there you should find 3 Power Potions, 3 Travel Speed Potions,
and a Rapid Attack potion. Push the block to the south of the chest and then
send the rest of the party to meet up. There is a {secret wall} to the south
with a chest containing [Adept Adventurer's Mines x20, Life Vial* x3].

Head northeast and quickly destroy the Phantom Generator. Go east to the
next room and follow the Phantoms to the Phantom Generator. After killing it,
send everyone to the room right before the door that you just came from so
that they will be safe. Send someone solo to grab the [Expert Adventurer's
Explosive Powder x10] from the chest. Rejoin the party and head north. There
is a {secret door} to the north with some golems and a chest with
[Life Vial*]. Now have your Archer go through the {narrow pass} to the south.
You may trigger the gas traps, but the middle red button will stop them.
Equip the Crossbow and go through the other narrow pass. Open the {weak wall}
and destroy the Golem to get [Life Vial* x3, Stone of Power] from the
chest. Wait here.

With the remaining group, go back east through the room of fire statues to
the crossing. Have your Archer rejoin the fight and head southeast to the
Phantom Generator. Activate the Mechanism and continue to head south,
turning west. Along the south side of this wall is a {secret door} with
a Golem and [Life Vial* x3, Adept Archer's Darts x30]. Continue west and
equip your best weapons to take out the many Golems and the Phantom Generator.
After defeating them, have your Archer enter the {narrow pass} with the
Crossbow and destroy the Golem. Press the gray button in the corner and grab
the [Life Vial x3]. From where the Phantom Generator was, go south until you
reach the lava, then west to the {secret door} with a gray button and a
chest with [Life Vial* x3, Archer's Arrows x20]. The gray button creates a
bridge to the south, so cross the lava and activate the Altar inside. Take
the portal to be warped near the exit. Exit the temple.

-Western Quicksands-
Take this time to head back to the Fountain of Youth and use it. Come back
here and head south the next map.

-Deep in the Desert-

Nothing much interesting worth exploring this map for. There is a cave in the
middle near the resurrection plate that has [Life Vial* x3]. Exit the
cave and go south to the altar. Enter the Altar.

-West of the Desert of Pal-Dul-Dan-

If you head directly south of where you are, there should be some cliffs to
the east with a cave towards the southern end. Inside the cave, send your
Archer solo enchanted with Protection and equipped with the Crossbow.
Head north and at the fork, go west. Go straight north to the chest with
[Life Vial* x4, Stone of Power]. Head back to the party. Repeat the process
again and this time head east. At the far north is a gray button to push.
Exit the cave.

From the cave, head northeast a bit until you see a bridge going east. Take
that bridge and go north to reach a chest with [Life Vial* x3, Explosive
Crossbow Bolts x10]. After grabbing it, take the northwest entrance to the
next area.

-Middle of the Desert of Pal-Dul-Dan-

Make your way east to the northeast side. There should be some cliffs there,
and on the northeast side of the cliffs is a cave. Enter the cave and go
north with someone solo. Push the red and gray buttons then open the chest
for [Life Vial* x4]. To the south is a {weak wall} and then to the west side
of that room is another {weak wall}. Inside is a gray button and a chest with
[Life Vial* x3, Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Head back to the
previous room and head south. If you already opened the weak wall from the
north, this {weak wall} should already be opened. Open the chest in this room
for [Life Vial* x3]. Exit the cave.

A bit to the west of the cliffs is a bridge that leads to [Life Vial* x4,
Archer's Arrows x20]. Also, on the south side of the map is a bridge that
leads to [Life Vial* x4]. When you are ready, head east to the next map.

-Temple of Pal-Dul-Dan-
Drops: Golden Key

The first thing you want to do is head north then east to the cliffs. Enter
the cave on the eastern side. Upon entering the cave go west and press the
gray button and grab the [Life Vial* x3]. Head back and then south past the
mud. Open the {weak wall} on the west side to grab the chest for
[Life Vial* x4]. Exit the cave.

Head west from the cliffs through the bridge to grab [Life Vial* x3] from
the chest. Head back to the cliffs and head south and then west at the
southern-most point to a bridge leading to [Life Vial x4]. Continue west to
the bridge with [Life Vial* x3, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x100].
Make your way back west to the entrance to the map.

Heal up and head towards the Oasis. Stop before you see the Giant Insects
and start to prepare. Use Protection on your Warrior and have him charge with
some Mines. Have him set a couple in the middle of them and the whole bunch
of them should be blown to bits. Don't worry if your Warrior takes some
damage, just heal enough to keep him alive if the Protection wears off.
Killing them all results in a Golden Key. Enter the temple and use the Golden
Key. Before stepping into the warp to the next level, backtrack a bit to
the Fountain of Youth and use it to heal up completely. When you are ready,
come back here and enter the portal.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
h. Level 8 - Temple of Pal-Dul-Dan
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24 Secrets, 43 Chests
-Entrance to the Temple of Pal-Dul-Dan-
Drops: Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Iron Key 2x,
       Expert Archer's Bolas x10, Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion x10,
       Expert Adventurer's Poison x10, Expert Warrior's Fire Belt x5

Upon entering, defeat the monsters around. Along the eastern wall in the
main entrance room are [Life Vial* x4] and [Life Vial* x3]. There are now
3 hallways, one going north, one going south, and one going east. Sending
your warrior solo, push the stone through the southern hallway. Along the
western wall is a {secret door} with [Expert Adventurer's Mines x20, Life
Vial* x4]. Continue to push the block south and then east. Let it rest on
the red button and then hit the yellow switch to deactivate the traps.

Have the rest of the party join up. On the north side of the hallway right
by the yellow switch is a {secret door} with [Life Vial* x3]. On the south
side of this hallway a little east of the red button is another {secret door}
with {Stone of Power, Life Vial* x2]. From here, go east and destroy the
Phantom Generator, making sure to grab the Iron Key here.

Head back to the entrance area and take the eastern hallway. Take the first
path going south. Here is a chest with [Life Vial* x4, Valve Wheel]. From
here, head north. Get ready for the load of Golems and the Phantom Generator
here. Mark the Stone Door with a marker and continue as far north as you can
go. There is a {weak wall} on the western wall. Inside is a Strength button
and [Stone of Power, Life Vial* x3]. The button will open a door to the east.
Exit the room and head west to the northwest corner, killing the monsters.
There is a {secret door} to the north with a Blue Button and [Expert Warrior's
Axe, Life Vial* x3] and there is also a {secret door} to the west with
[Life Vial* x4, Stone of Power]. Head back east and take the door you opened
with the strength button. Move the stone aside and grab the Iron Key from the
Golem inside.

Go back to the center entrance room. Give the three stones of power to one
person (preferably the Magician since you can use protection) and have that
person place the stones in the three altars. This will stop the barrage of
fire traps. Head east and destroy the many Golems that lay wait here. One
of them drops the Expert Archer's Bolas (though keep in mind that the Expert
version is weaker than the Adept's version, perhaps a glitch in the code of
the game?). In this room is another Blue Button, so make sure to push it.
Right by the chest is [Life Vial* x4]. From here you can either go north
or south, as it all leads to the same area. However, I'd rather go north
because killing the Phantom Generator there will result in an Expert
Warrior's Fire Belt, which is twice as powerful as the adept's. To advance,
what you need to do is push the stone block to the gray button. However,
in doing so will result in releasing the red button from underneath and
reactivate the traps. Have someone stand on the button as another pushes the
stone to the gray button. Send the other three heroes through the open door
first then have the one standing on the button follow suit.

Open up the Iron Door and activate the Mechanism and grab the [Life Vial* x4].
Have one hero head towards the middle room while trying to avoid the gas traps.
Kill the Sentinels is in the middle room and press the two red buttons in the
corners. Open the chests for [Life Vial* x4, Expert Magician's Healing Spell]
and [Life Vial* x4]. Make sure you get the Healing Spell, because it will
make healing so much faster as it takes only about 15 seconds to recharge.
Once you have the treasures, head to the southern room and open that Iron
Door. Read the Incantation behind the door which will open the door in the
middle room on the east side.

Watch out for the Sentinels here, as they move fast. The best method is to use
the Rain of Fire Curse in the middle of an area and let them hit it to cause
them to explode. There is a Pharaoh in the middle of the room, so use
whatever you need to get rid of him (Bolas can do the trick again). Have the
archer go through the {narrow pass} to the north and press the gray button.
Grab the [Life Vial* x4] and head south to the door you just opened.
Press the strength button and grab the [Life Vial* x4] from this chest. Go
through the door to the east to the Chamber of the Six Valves.

-Chamber of the Six Valves-
Drops: Most Legendary Warrior's Shield, Expert Warrior's Throwing Axes x40,
Expert Adventurer's Healing Potion x15, Gold Key

Don't miss the [Life Vial*, Valve Wheel] from the chest before you enter the
larger room. Destroy the monsters and push the gray button. Have the archer
stand on this button as rest make their way south. Kill the Phantom Generator
for a Most Legendary Warrior's Shield. To the east is a {weak wall} with some
pipes around it. Shoot the pipes to destroy the wall, then send the
Magician in that room for the [Life Vial* x4] and to read the Incantation.
This will open the door to the east, where you can send your Warrior there to
push the strength button and grab the [Life Vial*, Expert Warrior's Mace].

Have the Warrior go back to where the Archer is and have him stand on the
stone. Have the Archer go south and stand on that gray button while the
Magician and Adventurer go south. Jump across the Lava and continue, killing
the Lava Spirits and the Phantom Generator. Grab the [Life Vial* x4, Stone
Key] from the chest from the room to the south, then head back to the
Entrance to the Temple. Remember the Stone Door I told you to mark? Go back
there with the one who has the Stone Key and enter it for a chest with
[Life Vial* x2, Valve Wheel]. Head back to the Chamber and go back to where
you jumped across the lava pool. Jump east to the next room. Activate the
Mechanism on the north side and continue east then south to the Phantom
Generator. Read the Incantation inside and open the chest for [Life Vial*,
Valve Wheel, Expert Magician's Rain of Fire Curse]. Make sure you get this
staff.

Head back to where the Warrior and Archer are. Have Mac and the Magician
replace the two on the stones. You will notice now that the southern
doors are blocked, so head north and destroy the pipe blocking the {weak wall}
to the west. Grab the [Valve Wheel, Life Vial*, Expert Archer's Vision Prism].
Head north and destroy the Phantom Generator. Have a hero stand next to the
gray buttons, then have Mac and the Magician step off their's at the southern
part. On the northern part step on the southern button and then the northern
button. Have Mac and the Magician join up with the one standing on the
southern button. Remove that one and replace him with Mac. Send the other
two up to the last button. Step off the button and have your Archer and
Warrior move in between the two doors to the south. Have your Magician step
on that button, which will lock the door behind them but open the one ahead.

Head south and back to the room where you last activated a Mechanism. Have
your archer go south to the {narrow pass}. Open the chest for a [Life Vial*
x4, Adept Adventurer's Poison x10]. Press the gray button and meet back with
the Warrior. Go east and then north. Press the strength button and then
open the chest for [Stone of Power, Life Vial* x4]. Head back to the
entrance room.

Stand on the gray button in this room and fiddle with the two buttons that
Mac and the Magician are on to get everyone in the same room. This should
open up all the doors leading north, but someone will have to remain
standing on the entrance button. Head north with the other three, and leave
one by the button north of the weak wall you blew up earlier. Follow east
and kill the monsters and grab the [Valve Wheel, Life Vial* x2] from the chest
in the northern part (take great care not to hit the gray button). Use the
Stone of Power on the altar here to turn off the fireballs. Jump across the
lava pool and press the Blue Button. Jump across the lava to the south and
follow a bit, shooting the pipe on the east side to open a {weak wall} with
[Life Vial* x4, Stone of Power] inside.

Head south and kill the Golems in the room. Make sure to grab the Gold Key
and open the two treasures at the north and south ends of the room, containing
[Valve Wheel, Life Vial* x2] and [Life Vial* x4]. On the west side by the
northern treasure, shoot the pipe to reveal a {weak wall} and [Life Vial* x4].
Make sure to step on the gray button on the west side of the big room, as it
will open all doors on the map. Have everybody meet up and unlock the Golden
Door. Arm your best weapons and charge the many Golems and Krilons here.

This room has 6 pressure valves, three on the northern side and three on
the southern side. First, use a Valve Wheel on the northwestern and south-
centered valves to open the northern door. Send someone up solo and along
the west side is a {secret door} that leads to [Life Vial* x4]. Have the
party follow and head north. Kill the Golems then go east and destroy the
Phantom Generator. Shoot the pipe to the east for a {weak wall} and a chest
with [Life Vial* x2]. Operate the pressure valve then send your Archer to the
west with the Crossbow. Take the door going north and slip through the
{narrow pass}. Grab the [Expert Warrior's Fire Belt x5, Life Vial* x2] and
step on the gray button. Head back to the room with the six valves.

This time, place a valve wheel on the north-center valve and on the south-
eastern valve to open the door going south. Head south all the way just to
rid of the monsters. In the hallway you just went through there is a
{secret door} to the east side with [Life Vial* x4] and a {secret door} on
the west side with [Life Vial* x4]. Head south and then east, then take
the path going south. Kill the monsters and have your archer go through the
{narrow pass} and grab the [Life Vial* x4]. Push the gray button and rejoin
the party. Head back north and then east. Shoot the southern pipe to destroy
the {weak wall} which leads to a Mechanism and [Life Vial* x2]. Now
destroy the pipe on the eastern wall to rid of the {weak wall} that contains
a chest with [Life Vial* x2] and a valve. Operate the valve and before heading
north, heal up with the Healing Spell and equip your best weapons.

There are plenty of Golems and a couple of Pharaohs in here to destroy, so
make sure you make quick work of them. Once that is done, send Mac north and
then far west to the Mechanism there. Grab the [Life Vial* x4] from the chest
here and return to the party. Back in the center room is the last Blue Button,
so make sure to hit it. The two southern rooms contain an Incantation and a
Strength Button. Grab the [Expert Warrior's Keg's x5, Life Vial* x2] from
the chest on the southwest corner of this room. Take the center stairs down.

-Cave of the Guardians of Pal-Dul-Dan-
Drops: Expert Adventurer's Poison x10

The monsters will be thick here, so again make sure you are healed up. Head
north and follow until you find the room with the Phantom Generator. Kill it
and make sure that you are safe, then have your Magician cast Protection on
someone and head back to the lava room and west, jumping across the lava to
the Blue Chest with a Travel Speed Potion, 3 Rapid Attack Potions, and 3
Power Potions. Rejoin the party and head west. Destroy the pipe to reveal
the {weak wall} with [Life Vial* x2, Expert Warrior's Shock Wave x10]. Follow
the hallway west then south. Destroy the Phantom Generator then head back
north to the pipe and destroy it for the {weak wall} and [Life Vial* x4].
Continue south and shoot the pipe on the west side to destroy the {weak wall}
and grab the [Life Vial* x4, Most Powerful Sorcerer's Fireballs]. Continue
south and then east. Destroy the pipe and the {weak wall} and grab the
[Life Vial* x4] from the chest. Head east to the southeast corner.

You are now very close to the boss. Here you have a couple of options. You
can either use your Warrior's Mines or your Archer's Bolas. The easiest way
is to first have your Magician clear the area with either the vision spell or
the Protection and have him run up and down so that you can see the 3 Temple
Guardians. Then, retreat back to the corner and have your magician use
Invisibility on your Archer. Start with a Bola on each of the three guardians
to stun them, then use the Crossbow and destroy them from the doorway. You
should easily kill them all off by hitting them from a distance (since they
will not move at all). Now just move the three stones onto the three gray
buttons. You should now have all secrets and treasures. Return to the stairs
and go up them. Head east to the newly opened door.

-Sacred Chamber of the Book of Knowledge-

Have a hero stand on each of the buttons to open the book of Hexplore! Go
to read it and Garkham will show up! He says that he is a servant of the
sorcerers and how the book now belongs to them. Then, many Enchanted Templars
appear. Quickly get off the stones and go to the portal. Heal up with the
healing spell before going through.

i. Level 9 - Himalayan Prison
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
41 Secrets, 40 Chests, !Fountain of Youth!
-Himalayan Prison-
Drops: Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Life Vial** x4,
       Expert Archer's Darts x60, Archer's Arrows x120,
       Most Legendary Warrior's Mines x10, Expert Warrior's Shockwave x10,
Vision Prism of the Best Archer x2, Expert Warrior's Fire Belt x5,
Most Daring Adventurer's Mine x10, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x20,
       Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
       Most Powerful Magician's Invisibility x5,
Expert Magician's Protection x5, Most Powerful Magician's Wand

Very odd how that you still have all your equipment even though you are
prisoners. Anyway, the first thing you need to do is open the {secret door}
on the western wall and the {secret door}{secret door} on the north wall
(no I didn't type this wrong, it counts as two secrets). Read the Incantation
in the northern room with the prisoner as well as step on the gray button.
This will open up the doors and you'll find yourself against some glores.
One of the guards drops the Legendary Throwing Axes.

Step on the gray stone in the center, then on the one in the northeast corner.
Go to that room and enter the {narrow pass} for a gray button to step on.
Now go back to the center room and step on the gray button to the south of
the room you were just at. The prisoner will talk about a flying machine.
Follow around south and west, hitting the next gray button. The prisoner here
talks about the White Magician being a threat to the evil wizards, who is
being held here. Hit the strength button here. Continue west to the next
button and push it. Operate the Mechanism inside and talk to the Prisoner who
talks about a section in the prison that holds strange monsters. You can
continue around and press the gray button that will open the door to your
cell. Keep in mind that you can destroy vases here to get some Life Vials**
(which are the next step up).

The northern door in this room will now be open. Destroy the Captain of the
Guards to get some Expert Archer's Darts. The only thing you can do here is
circle the area, but in doing so you can pick up the most powerful weapon in
the game: The Most Legendary Warrior's Mines. At the level you are at, one
of these mines could take out over 14000 HP! Make sure you save them for some
bosses. Head back to your cell and take the western secret door that you
already opened. Open the next {secret door} to the west and follow north to
the next {secret door}. Open the chest for [Life Vial** x3], operate the
Mechanism and press the gray button. Go through the door you just opened and
kill the monsters. The center area has a lot of monsters, so make sure you
are ready for the ambush. Make sure to pick up the Vision Prism of the Best
Archer.

Step on the center gray button and then start to make your rounds.
Start with the southeastern button. Destroy the glores inside and read the
Incantation. Open the chest for [Life Vial** x2]. Go to the southwestern
button and push it for some more glores and a chest with [Life Vial** x2].
Push the button to the north and [Life Vial** x3]. Hit the strength button and
then the button to the northeast of the last gray one you just hit. Kill the
glores and have your archer go through the {narrow pass} for [Life Vial** x3]
and a gray button. Now head to the northeast button to open that door.
To the north side is a {secret door}. Kill the Golems and push the gray
button.

Go through the door and to the center area again, killing off anything and
grabbing the Most Daring Adventurer's Mines (which has the same strength as
the Expert's). Time to make your rounds again, start with the eastern button
on the north side and work counter-clockwise. Kill the Krilons and open the
chest for Life Vial** x2]. The room to the west contains an Incantation and
[Life Vial** x2, Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10]. Continue southwest
to the next room where the archer must enter the {narrow pass}. Push the gray
button and open the chest with [Life Vial** x3]. Head over to the east side
and push the southern button to open that door. Operate the Mechanism and open
the chest for [Life Vial** x2]. Head north and push the button. Push the
strength button and open the chest for [Life Vial* x4]. Now the door to the
eastern cells will be open, so go south to the middle area and then east.

Clear this area out and make sure to grab the Most Powerful Invisibility.
Again, time to make your rounds. Start with the north side on the east and
work counter clockwise again. The northeast side has a strength button and a
[Life Vial** x2]. East of that is a {narrow pass} with a gray button and a
chest with [Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Life Vial** x2].
Head to the south and open the western door for an Incantation and
[Life Vial** x2]. East of here is a Mechanism and a chest containing
[Life Vial** x4, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10]. Once that the Mechanism is
used, the door to the east opens, freeing the White Magician. Talk to him
and he will talk about the Creator Gods and the fall of the evil wizards who
search for Eden. And though the White Wizard cannot leave the prison because
of the curse on the prison, he tells about the flying machine and will open
a door to help escape. Press the button in the middle of this area and go back
to the center section.

Go into the newly opened room. Kill the Captain of the Guards for a Most
Powerful Magician's Wand and grab the [Life Vial** x4]. Once you've
cleared out the entire prison, take the stairs to the mountains.

-Northwestern Slope-
Drops: Archer's Arrows x80, Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
Expert Archer's Darts x30, Most Powerful Sorcerer's Vision Spell,
       Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10, Expert Archer's Bolas x10,
       Best Archer's Crossbow, Expert Warrior's Shockwave x10,
       Most Daring Adventurer's Katana

If you wish to you can clear out the map. There are a few drops here but not
a whole lot. From the entrance to the Prison, head a bit southeast. Along
these cliffs is a cave.

Inside this cave you will find a couple pieces of equipment for your Magician.
Head east from the entrance to the {weak wall} with [Life Vial** x3]. Exit
the room and cross the room to the west side with another {weak wall}. From
there, go west and then northwest to another {weak wall}. This room has a
chest with [Life Vial** x3] and another {weak wall}, which has a chest
with [Life Vial** x3, Archer's Arrows x20]. Exit the rooms and head south
as far as you can then west to yet another {weak wall}. Open the chest here
for [Life vial** x3]. Exit the room and head east for a {weak wall}{weak wall}
(again, it counts as two). Open the chest for [Life Vial** x3]. Open the
{weak wall} to the east to reveal the Fountain of Youth! Make sure you mark
this fountain so that you will know where to look when you return. Also in
this room is [Life Vial** x3]. Exit the room and break down the last
{weak wall} to the north. Exit the cave.

Make sure you mark the cave after you exit. From this cave, head directly
east to the cliffs and then north a bit to the cave. Upon entering, press the
Blue Button by the door. Open the {weak wall} to the west for [Life Vial** x3].
Exit the room and head south all the way to the {weak wall} there. Around
here you should also find the Best Archer's Crossbow. Inside the room is a
chest with [Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Life Vial** x3] and
a {weak wall}. Inside this room is a chest with [Most Daring Adventurer's
Healing Potion x5]. Exit the two rooms and go east along the southern wall is
a {weak wall} with [Life Vial** x3] inside. Head north and defeat the
werewolves there to get the Most Daring Adventurer's Katana. The eastern wall
has a {weak wall} that leads you outside.

-Northern Slope-
Drops: Expert Warrior's Shockwave x10, Expert Archer's Darts x30,
       Most Legendary Warrior's Mines x10, Expert Archer's Bolas x10

Not a whole lot to clear here, just head south and then west to the cliffs
and enter the cave. Upon entering there is a {weak wall} to the east with
[Life Vial** x3]. From here head west. South of the torch in the middle
of the room to the west is a {weak wall} for [Life Vial** x3]. Exit the
room and continue west. South of the door leading out is another {weak wall}
with [Life Vial** x3] inside. Exit through that door. Once outside, head north
and then east to the next area.

-Northeastern Slope-
Drops: Most Daring Adventurer's Mines x20, Archer's Arrows x60,
Expert Adventurer's Explosive Powder x20, Best Archer's Shurikens,
Vision Prism of the Best Archer, Most Legendary Warrior's Breastplate,
       Expert Warrior's Fire Belt x5, Expert Archer's Bolas x10,
       Most Legendary Warrior's Mines x10, Expert Warrior's Shockwave x10,
Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10, Most Powerful Sorcerer's Protection x5,

Head east as far as you can go. From the eastern cliffs, head south to the
caves in the wall. Make sure you get the Shurikens here, as they can really
help out in a tough bind. Head west from the entrance for a {weak wall} and
a chest with [Life Vial**, Most Legendary Warrior's Mace]. Head south for and
kill some enemies for the Legendary Warrior's Breastplate and another
{weak wall} on the west side. Inside here is [Life Vial** x3] and yet another
{weak wall}. Behind here is the 2nd Blue Button, so push it and head east
a bit, exiting the rooms. On the south side is a {weak wall} for a chest
with [Life Vial** x3]. Continue east to the far side for a {weak wall} and
[Life Vial** x3, Vision Prism of the Best Archer]. Near this room is a door
leading out to the south. Take it.

Go south from here to another cave. As the music here suggests, you're close
to a boss, so make sure you're fully healed and ready with your best weapons.
Head north to the larger room and keep everybody here for now. Send your
strongest character east and south a bit to the {weak wall}. Inside is a
monster with the Most Daring Adventurer's Blade and [Life Vial** x3]. Head
north, still solo to the Blue Button. To the east of it is a {weak wall}
with [Life Vial** x3] inside. From here, head north and west a bit, looking
south for a {weak wall} with [Life Vial** x4] inside. Continue west and then
south for a {weak wall} on the east side and [Life Vial** x3]. Now head south
then west, looking north for the {weak wall} with [Life Vial** x3] inside.
From here, go west then north to the last Blue Button just to the west. From
the button, go west then north, looking west for the {weak wall} for
[Life Vial** x2, Expert Warrior's Fire Belt x10]. Go back to the Blue Button
and then head south, looking west for a {weak wall} for a chest containing
[Life Vial** x3, Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20]. Head west
from here to meet back with your party.

Heal up your lone ranger here. Take the party and head north down the center
hallway. Before you reach the fork, look east for a {weak wall} with a
chest containing [Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10, Life Vial** x3].
Go north to the fork and then east, north, then east again. Look north for
the final {weak wall} with the Blue Chest inside, containing 3 Travel Speed
Potions, a Power Potion, and 3 Rapid Attack Potions. From here, take the party
west and then north to the big room by the door. Around here you will find the
Most Powerful Protection Spell. Exit through the north.

-Flying-Machine Mooring Platform-

Nothing much here. Heal up here with the spell if you can, because going back
to the fountain might mean risking the fireballs from the last cave. Just
enter the portal to go to the next level.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
j. Level 10 - The Elemental Temples
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
27 Secrets, 43 Chests

Just a note before beginning the level, make sure you make a save for the
beginning of the level and one for everything after. This is a tricky level
and because of experience drops being rare, sometimes you have to go to other
places to level up before coming back to the right place. The skills sometimes
need to be at level 10 before they can be operated, so if you need a certain
level of skill, I will mark it with a (10) after the device, like
Incantation(10).

The best order to level everyone up here is Archer, Mac, Magician, Warrior.
If you want some easy experience, in the Elemental Temples where the Phantom
Generators are, place some mines down and let them come to you. Sometimes the
Phantoms will drop experience for you to pick up easily.

-Banks of the River of Creation-

The Demon Dogs here carry 8000 HP and pack a punch, luckily a couple shots of
the Mace will send them packing. Clear everything to the west of the river
and you should find two stones to move. Mark these stones until you finish
clearing. The first one you want to check is the one to the southwest. Push
it aside and enter the cave. Grab [Life Vial** x3] inside the chest and
exit the cave.

Head to the other stone that you saw. Move it aside and enter that cave.
You will be ambushed by Phantoms right away. Break the {weak wall} on the
east side and destroy the Phantom Generator inside. Open the chest with
[Life Vial** x3] and destroy the {weak wall} on the west side. Step on the
Blue Button and grab [Life Vial** x3]. Exit the cave.

Head east and jump across the islands to the east side. Same thing here like
on the other side, mark any stone or cave opening that you find. You should
find 3. Push the southern one first and Button. Exit the cave and head to the
northern stone. Push it aside and enter the cave.

-Temple of the Troglodytes-
Drops: Most Powerful Sorcerer's Healing Spell,
       Most Legendary Warrior's Breastplate

Push the strength button. This opens the door to the south. Take the portal
here.

-Buried Temple-

You will be ambushed by some Krilons here. The ladder in the room will take
you to the middle cave that you found on the east side of the river.
Don't take it because there is a {secret door} to the west that leads to
a Mechanism and a chest with [Life Vial** x3]. Operate the Mechanism and then
go back to the main room. On the east side is another {secret door} that
leads to a gray button and [Life Vial** x3] Step on the button and enter the
portal back to the temple of the troglodytes.

-Temple of the Troglodytes-

Head west through the newly opened door. Make sure to grab the Powerful
Healing Spell, as it is twice as powerful as the last one. Read the
Incantation on the northern wall and grab the [Life Vial** x3] in the chest.
Head back to the portal but instead of entering, go west through the newly
opened door. A bit down the hall to the south is a {secret door} with a
gray button and a [Life Vial** x3] inside. Step on the gray button and go
west. At the far end is a chest with [Life Vial** x3]. Head north to
the Phantom Generator and kill it for another Legendary Warrior's Breastplate.
Grab the [Life Vial** x3, Water Amulet] from the chest. Exit the temple.

-Banks of the River of Creation-
Head a bit south and east to reach the Main Temple Area.

-Main Temple-
Drops: Most Daring Adventurer's Breastplate, Most Legendary Warriors Axe,
Most Powerful Sorcerer's Wand, Most Legendary Warrior's Fire Belt x10,
       Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10, Best Archer's Darts x30,
       Most Powerful Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Archer's Arrows x40,
Most Daring Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10,
       Most Legendary Warrior's Shockwave x10,
       Most Daring Adventurer's Magic Saber

The only thing we're really doing here now is just fighting around to gain
experience. Near the north side by the temple lays home to many 10000 HP
Enchanted Templars. The best way to take them out is by hiding around the
cliff to the east, using a Travel Speed Potion and Invisibility on your
Warrior, then having him sneak up on the templars and using his mines. One
turn kill! The templars drop the Best Darts, Most Powerful Sorcerer's Wand,
Most Legendary Axe, Most Legendary Fire Belt, as well as other things. Just
explore the area and mark any stone blocks or caves that you see. There is
also somewhere here a monster that drops the Daring Explosive Powder.

You should have discovered 3 caves. The first one is in the northwest corner
under a stone. Enter it and grab [Life Vial** x3] from inside. Exit the cave.
The 2nd cave should be to the far southeast and the 3rd to the far northeast.
You will first want to head to the cave in the southwestern part. Destroy the
{weak wall} to the east. Inside, a monster drops the Powerful Shockwaves.
Grab the [Life Vial** x3] from the chest and destroy the {weak wall} to the
west. Press the Blue Button here and grab the [Life Vial** x3]. Exit the cave.

Head to the northeastern stone and push to enter the temple.

-Temple of the Troglodytes-

Entering will activate a Phantom Generator. Read the Incantation to open the
door. Grab the [Life Vial** x2, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10] from the chest
and press the strength button. This will open the northeast door. Give your
archer the Crossbow and cast protection on him. Go through the {narrow pass}
and destroy the Phantom Generator. Press the gray button to open the
southeast room and open the chest for [Life Vial** x3]. Operate the Mechanism
in that room to open the last door and grab the [Life Vial** x3]. In the
last room to the west is a {secret door} which houses a Phantom Generator.
Grab the [Life Vial** x2, Earth Amulet] from the chest. Exit the cave.

Now you'll want to enter the temple for just a little bit. We aren't here for
much now, just be very careful of the enchanted templars and make sure to
grab the Most Daring Adventurer's Magic Saber. Once you have the saber
exit the temple.

You've done all you could do in this area for now. Head north to the Village
of the Troglodytes.

-Village of the Troglodytes-
Drops: Most Daring Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Archer's Arrows x60,
Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Best Archer's Bolas x10,
Best Archer's Bow, Best Archer's Leather Vest

As usual, clear the area and mark off any cave that you see. There should be
plenty of them at the northern part, as that area is the abodes of the
villages. At the far northeast corner is a cave. Destroy the {weak wall} to
the south and destroy the Phantom Generator for the Best Bow. Press the Blue
Button and open the chest for [Life Vial** x4]. Exit the cave. To the south
of this cave is another cave. Destroy the Phantom Generator in this cave for
the Best Archer's Leather Vest. Exit the cave.

In the village there should be five houses. The northernmost one contains
[Life Vial** x3], the one to the southwest of that contains [Life Vial** x4],
the one southeast of that one contains [Life Vial** x4], the one southwest
of that contains [Life Vial** x4], and the one to the south of that contains
an ambush of Cannibals guarding [Life Vial** x3, Fire Statue]. Exit the
houses. There are now two more caves to visit. Mark the northern one and
enter the southern one.

-Temple of the Troglodytes-

Open the {weak wall} to the west and grab [Life Vial** x3]. Go back to the
main room and open the {weak wall} to the north, and then another {weak wall}
to the west. Open the next {weak wall} to the north for a chest containing
[Life Vial** x2, Fire Statue]. Exit the temple and head west to the Sacred
Lake.

-Sacred Lake-

Not a whole lot we're doing here just yet, we're mostly here to clear the
map and to grab whatever experience that we can. Take it slow though since
there are plenty of Cannibals guarding the temples. By the temple on the
east side is a chest with [Life Vial** x3, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10]
and by the temple on the west side is a chest with [Life Vial** x3,
Most Daring Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10]. Once everything is set,
head west to the Temple of Water.

-Temple of Water-
Drops: Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20,
Most Legendary Warrior's Fire Belt x10

This will be the last map to fully clear. There are a 3 stones to mark as
you are clearing. In the middle of the lake is a village. Villagers mention
that the elemental temples and the central temple are still standing. They
mention that you'll need some Amulets to get inside the temples and that
the Fire Temple also requires two statues of fire. Enter the Chieftain's
house and the daughter will ask you to save him, since he is very ill. The
Chieftain will mention a potion buried in a temple to the west.

Now let's explore the caves. First go to the northern stone and push it.
Breaking the {weak wall} to the east will reveal a Phantom Generator. Inside
the chest is [Life Vial** x3]. Exit and head southwest to the next stone.
Move it and enter the cave. Break the {weak wall} and grab the
[Life Vial** x3] from the chest, which reveals another Phantom Generator.
Destroy it and exit.

To the far south is the last stone. Push it to enter the temple of the
Troglodytes.

-Temple of the Troglodytes-

Have your archer go through the {narrow passage} to the west. Step on the
gray button and grab [Life Vial** x2]. Return to the party and go through the
door to the east, reading the Incantation, which opens the next door to the
east. Operate the Mechanism and grab [Life Vial** x2]. Go through the door
and cast protection one of the characters. Go through that portal alone and
destroy the barrels to reveal a gray button. Press it and go through the
door, destroying the {weak wall} to the east. Press the gray button here and
open the chest for [Jar of Medicinal Herbs, Life Vial** x3]. Exit the temple
and return to the Chieftain.

-Temple of Water-

Give the Chieftain the medicine and he will ask you to activate each of the
temples. He will open the door to the water temple. Exit the house and go
south and enter the Water Temple.

You will find yourself in a room with 4 yellow buttons in each corner. To open
all the gates, first step on the southeast button, then northwest, then
southwest, then northeast. Head east and destroy the Phantom Generator.
Ignore the portals and head north, following the only path given and destroying
any Phantom Generators on the way until you reach the middle room. Open the
chests along the eastern wall for [Life Vial** x4, Most Powerful Sorcerer's
Protection Spell x5] and [Travel Speed Potion x5, Explosive Crossbow Bolts
x10]. Place the Amulet of Water on the pyramid to activate the Water Temple.
Exit the temple.

To the west of the village is a portal that will take you to the Main Temple.
Take it.

-Main Temple-
Drops: Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10, Explosive Crossbow Bolts x10,
       Most Daring Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10, Archer's Arrows x20,
Most Powerful Sorcerer's Cape, Best Archer's Darts x30

Enter the central temple and you will find The Blue Chest, which contains 2
Power Potions, a Rapid Attack Potion, and 2 Travel Speed Potions. Head to
the northwest side and activate the Sacred Alter of the Elements. Check the
wall to the north of the alter for a {secret door} and [Life Vial** x3].
Head straight east to the northeast side for another Altar. Activate it and
search the north wall for a {weak wall} and just kill the monsters here.
When you reach the locked door, place a marker there to remember to return
there. Head back to the alter and head west. Search the northern wall for
a {secret door} that leads to the northern end of the temple.

Killing some monsters here will give you the much needed Powerful Magician's
Cape. Go to the northeast corner and look for the {secret door} along the
eastern wall. Exit to the {outside} and come back in. Walk west down the
hallway and look south for a green shield on the wall that reveal a
{secret door}. The only thing inside is a monster with experience. Continue
to the far west to the door. If you have everybody at level 10 (at least a
few should be, you can attempt this much, else just go as far as you can and
mark where you last ended.

Go through {narrow pass(10)}. Step on the gray button and destroy the
{weak wall}. Grab the [Life Vial** x3, Vision Prism of the Best Archer] from
the chest. Go east to the newly opened room and activate the Mechanism(10).
Open the chest for [Life Vial** x3, Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10].
The Mechanism opens a room to the southeast of the Mechanism room. Read
the Incantation(10) and open the chest for [Life Vial** x3, Most Powerful
Magician's Invisibility x5]. A room a bit to the east opens up with a
Strength Button(10) and a chest containing [Life Vial** x2, Air Amulet].
Go back to the door I asked you to mark earlier (the one north of the 2nd
elemental alter). Enter that room for [Life Vial** x3, Fire Amulet].

Exit the Temple and head back to the Sacred Lake.

-Sacred Lake-

The first temple you'll want to enter is the one to the southeast. This is
the Temple of Earth.

-Temple of Earth-
Drops: Most Powerful Sorcerer's Invisibility x5,
Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20
       Most Legendary Warrior's Shockwave x10

There are 3 yellow buttons in this area and one to the northeast. Push the
southern button, then send someone towards the northeastern button, just
don't step on it. Step on the eastern button then on the northeastern button.
Finally push the western button to open all the gates. Now take the path
going west. Don't worry about the drops right now as the Phantoms keep coming
fast. Just wind your way around to the eastern room, killing anything in your
path. Place the Earth Amulet on the Pyramid to activate it. Exit the Temple.

Now you need the Air Amulet, so make sure that your Magician is at Level 10
so that you can get it from the instructions above.

Once back at the lake, make your way to southwestern temple. This is the
Temple of Air.

-Temple of Air-
Drops: Best Archer's Bow

There are 4 yellow buttons here just like with the others, three in this room
and one to the far east. Step on the western button in this room and send
someone to the room to the east but don't step on the button yet. Step on
the southern button then on the eastern, then finally the one in the eastern
room to open all of the gates. Head south from the eastern room and follow
the path given, destroying the Phantom Generators. At the northern room, place
the Amulet on the Pyramid to activate the temple. Exit the temple and head
back to the Village of the Troglodytes.

-Village of the Troglodytes-
There is only one temple left to visit and that is the Fire Temple. Make sure
that everybody is at Level 10 because that is the only way you can get the
Fire Amulet (from the central temple, so make sure you go back and get it,
instructions are above). Enter the last cave that you have marked but have
not visited. Place the Fire Statues on the altars and enter the stairs.

-Temple of Fire-
Drops: Most Daring Adventurer's Poison x10, Archer's Arrows x20
       Most Legendary Warrior's Shockwave x10,
Most Daring Adventurer's Explosive Powder x10

From the entrance, go east then south. Enter the {narrow pass(10)} and push
the gray button. Follow to the large room of fire, making sure to quickly
dispose of the annoying Lava Spirits. Send the Warrior west to push the
Strength Button(10), send Mac east to the Mechanism(10), and send your
Magician southwest to the Incantation(10). Take the party and go southeast
through the newly opened door. At the fork, go west and destroy the monsters
in the room. Place the Fire Amulet on the Pyramid to activate the final
temple.

Take the party east and to the room with [Life Vial** x3, Most Powerful
Sorcerer's Rain of Fire Curse] and [Archer's Arrows x20, Most Powerful
Sorcerer's Protection Spell x5]. Exit through the nearby door and go to the
south where there is a chest with [Life Vial** x3, Most Legendary Warrior's
Shield]. Go back through the temple and make your way back to the Sacred
Lake.

-Sacred Lake-
Now time for the boss battle. Save and head to the docks at the northern
end. Use a Power Potion, a Travel Speed Potion, and Invisibility on your
Warrior and equip him with the mines. Have him go south right past the
Phantom Generator to the Kraken. If you go on slow speed, you'll have plenty
of time to think about where to move. A couple shots with the mines will
send the Kraken packing. Destroy the rest of the monsters before the
Invisibility wears out and heal up. Take the final portal to the final level.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
k. Level 11 - Sacred Chamber of Eden
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Secrets, 4 Chests

-Sacred Chamber of Eden-
Drops:

Not a whole lot to this level. From the entrance take the eastern path and
open the {weak wall} behind it is another {weak wall}. Behind it is a
Phantom Generator and all four chests, containing [Life Vial** x4,
Most Legendary Warrior's Throwing Axes x20, Most Legendary Warrior's
Mines x10], [Life Vial** x4, Best Archer's Bolas x10, Explosive Crossbow
Bolts x10], [Life Vial** x4, Most Daring Adventurer's Healing Potion x5,
Most Daring Adventurer's Mines x10], and [Life Vial** x4, Most Powerful
Sorcerer's Protection Spell x5, Most Powerful Sorcerer's Invisibility x5].
From here, make a grouping point. Cast Invisibility on your Archer and use a
travel speed potion on him. Head south then west to the Phantom Generator
and sneak up on it with the Crossbow. Defeat the Phantoms as well and shoot
the yellow switch to the south to stop the traps. Have the party meet up by
the yellow switch.

Now you're about ready to face some bosses. First off, have everyone hide at
the nooks by the walls and heal up. Have someone enter the big room and
Garkham will appear. He won't do anything yet, so feel free to uncover the
room. Cast Invisibility on your Archer and use a Power Potion, Travel Speed
Potion, and Rapid Attack Potion on him. Send him to Garkham and talk. He
will start to attack along with 5 other Evil Sorcerers, each whom have 30000
HP! With your Bolas, snipe off the 6 monsters to stun them, then nail them
with the Crossbow. This battle is really easy since they will not see the
Archer or the others, and the Archer can pick them off one by one, especially
if you use the Shift+Click trick.

If for some reason the Archer dies, do the same thing for the Warrior and
send him out to finish the job. Use the Resurrection stone at the front of
the temple to revive.

Once they are dead, head west to the newly unlocked door. Heal up if you need
it. Open the door and prepare again your Archer with the Bolas, the Potions,
and the Invisibility. Go to the west side and talk to God! He will explain
everything and says that you shall die for finding Eden. He will attack along
with 4 other fighting Gods. Use the same strategy as last time, stun them
with the Bolas and use the Shift+Click trick to finish the job with the
Crossbow. Shouldn't be too hard, even though each of the Gods have almost
100000 HP a piece. This will open the Door to Knowledge. Go north to the
door and enter the portal to finish the game.

IV. Equipment
===============================================================================
Here is a full list of equipment in the game. An * after the name indicates
that it is a weapon that is consumable.

The power of the weapon is calculated by inserting your experience points into
x and then solving the equation. For example, at 300 exp, your Adventurer's
Katana's power will be at 60 (300/10 + 30 or 30 + 30). Another example is
at 500 exp, your Warrior's Fire Belt will be at 533 (2*500/3 + 200 or 1000/3
+ 200 or 333 + 200).

The location of the equipment is where you can find the item. If it is a
consumable item, then you will probably find them elsewhere afterwards.

Keep in mind there is no (or I could not find) the:

Expert Adventurer's Magic Saber
Best Archer's Dagger
Adept Warrior's Mace
Expert Magicians Protective Cape
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Adventurer's Equipment
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The adventurer has a wide variety of weapons at his disposal to use depending
on what the need calls for (including healing).

# Name Power/Ability Location
1. Katana x/10 + 30 Initial
*    Adept's Katana                 x/5 + 60                Level 4
** Expert's Katana 3x/10 + 90 Level 6
*** Daring Katana 3x/5 + 180 Level 9

-Your basic strike weapon. Quick recovery for close combat.

2. Explosive Powder* x/6 + 70 Level 1
*    Adept's Explosive Powder*      x/6 + 80                Level 4
** Expert's Explosive Powder* x/4 + 125 Level 6
*** Daring Explosive Powder* x/3 + 100 Level 10

-These powerful explosives are handy early on, but lose their power after a
while. Also, unlike other projectile weapons, these will explode after going
a distance. If you need some distance though, this is the adventurer's
weapon of choice.

3. Blade x/5 + 60 Level 2
*    Adept's Blade                  x/3 + 50                Level 5
** Expert's Blade 2x/5 + 120, Spread Shot Level 7
*** Daring Blade 4x/5 + 340, Spread Shot Level 9

-If you need a reusable projectile weapon, then use this. It is a pretty
strong weapon, the only downfall is that the recovery time is slow on it.

4. Magic Saber x/6 + 50 Level 3
*    Adept's Magic Saber            x/4 + 105               Level 6
*** Daring Magic Saber 11x/15 + 220 Level 10

-Much like the Katana but the Magic Saber shoots out a beam at the enemy,
giving you a little distance so that you're a bit safer. The higher the
level, the longer the range is on the beam.

5. Mines* x/3 + 100 Level 2
*    Adept's Mines*                 x/2 + 150               Level 4
** Expert's Mines* 2x/3 + 200 Level 8
*** Daring Mines* 2x/3 + 200 Level 9

-These mines can be used one of two ways. The most obvious one is to equip
and attack with them. The mines explode and damage anything nearby, which
is still very powerful, but the best use is when you see a whole lot of
monsters gathered around. You can hold down the Shift key and click in
a direction to have Mac set these for you. Then, you just lure them into
your trap. Set a few for the really big monsters and they'll be sitting
ducks.

6. Poison* x/5 + 60, Slows Level 3
*    Adept's Poison*                2x/5 + 20, Slows        Level 6
** Expert's Poison* 4x/5 + 40, Slows Level 7
*** Daring Poison* 8x/5 + 80, Slows Level 9

-Though not overly powerful in their own rights, poison still allows you to
bide your time with enemies. Being a projectile, just sprinkle some on the
enemy and watch them choke. They can still attack while choking, but their
attacks are not as fast or as often.

7. Healing Potion* 200 HP Level 2
*    Adept's Healing Potion*        300 HP                  Level 4
** Expert's Healing Potion* 400 HP Level 7
*** Daring Healing Potion* 800 HP Level 9

-These basically just qualify for another Life Vial, only a bit more
powerful and only the Adventurer can use them. Personally, I'd use these
before the Life Vials because Life Vials can be used by anybody, but if your
adventurer dies and another party member needs to be healed and you're out
of Life Vials, unless there is a Resurrection plate nearby, you're screwed.

8. Breastplate 500 Damage Levels 1 & 3
*    Adept's Breastplate            1000 Damage             Levels 3 & 5
** Expert's Breastplate 2000 Damage Level 7
*** Daring Breastplate 4000 Damage Level 10

-Decreases your damage by half, but will be destroyed after it absorbs so much
of your damage. The stronger the armor, the more damage it will absorb before
falling to pieces on you. Definitely a must have.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Archers' Equipment
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Though most of the Archer's equipment is weak and ranged (the Vision
Prism and Dagger don't count as ranged), the Crossbow more than makes up for
the lack of power. This will probably be used when you are in a bind or
when you have to send your Archer alone (and there will be many times).

# Name Power/Ability Location
1. Dagger x/20 + 15 Initial
*    Adept's Dagger                 x/10 + 30               Level 4
** Expert's Dagger x/5 + 60 Level 7

-Though the only close-combat weapon for the archer, this weapon will lose
its usefulness early in the game after you find the Shurikens. Its strength
is close to the bow's, but the archer is weak and thus thrives on ranged
weapons. Use this only on level 1 or 2 if you run out of projectiles, else
use the Shuriken if you run out of projectiles.

2. Bow* x/30 + 20 Initial
*    Adept's Bow*                   x/15 + 40               Level 4
** Expert's Bow* x/10 + 80, spread shot Level 6
*** Best Bow* x/5 + 160, 5-spread Level 10 (x2)

-This will be the weapon of choice for the archer for most of the games.
Arrows are easy to come by throughout the game so you shouldn't have to worry
about running out soon.

3. Shurikens x/75 + 4 Level 2
*    Adept's Shurikens              2x/75 + 8               Level 5
** Expert's Shurikens 4x/75 + 16 Level 7
*** Best Shurikens 8x/75 + 32 Level 9

-A very weak weapon, but the recovery is very fast. If you can master the
Shift-Click method, the Shurikens can be deadly in ranged combat.

4. Darts* x/30 + 10 Level 3
*    Adept's Darts*                 x/15 + 20               Level 5
** Expert's Darts* x/10 + 30 Level 9
*** Best Darts* x/10 + 30 Level 10

-Though not particularly powerful, the Darts come in handy if you are
surrounded by enemies, since they shoot in all directions. However, this is
a weapon that you won't see a lot of action with.

5. Crossbow* x/3 + 100 Level 2
*    Adept's Crossbow*              2x/3 + 200              Level 5
** Expert's Crossbow* 5x/6 + 250 Level 6
*** Best Crossbow* 5x/3 + 500 Level 9

-The crossbow normally would be the weapon of choice for the archer, since
its power is very extreme. However, Bolts are harder to find than Arrows,
so it limits how often the Crossbow can be used. However, there are many
points in the game where the Archer has to go at it alone (mostly because
of Narrow Passes). When the archer is alone, give him the Crossbow and there
is nothing that can touch him.

6. Vision Prism* Reveal Hidden Passage Level 1
* Adept's Vision Prism* Reveal Floor Level 4
** Expert's Vision Prism* Reveal Hidden Rooms Level 8
*** Best Vision Prism* Reveal Hidden Areas Level 9

-This is a very rare find, so only use them if you really need to use them.
They are a bit more powerful than the magician's spell as they reveal even
secrets, but again, nothing that should be used freely.

7. Poisoned Bolas* x/5 + 60, Stuns Level 3
*    Adept's Bolas*                 4x/5 + 240, Stuns       Level 5
** Expert's Bolas* 3x/5 + 360, Stuns Level 8
*** Best Bolas* 9x/5 + 1080, Stuns Level 10

-This is probably the best boss-beater weapon in the game, as one throw of
this weapon will spin the enemy around as they choke on the poison. Their
attacks will stop, leaving you free to have the rest of your party crush the
enemy.

8. Leather Vest 500 Damage Level 2
*    Adept's Leather Vest           1000 Damage             Level 4
** Expert's Leather Vest 2000 Damage Level 7
*** Best Leather Vest 4000 Damage Level 10

-Decreases your damage by half, but will be destroyed after it absorbs so much
of your damage. The stronger the armor, the more damage it will absorb before
falling to pieces on you. Definitely a must have.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c. Warrior's Equipment
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While the selection is lacking in the flashy department, it really makes
up for it in power (especially the mines). The range on ranged items are
very short, so the Warrior will most likely always be in the middle no matter
what weapon he has.

# Name Power/Ability Location
1. Axe x/6 + 50 Initial
*    Adept's Axe                    x/3 + 100               Levels 1 & 3
** Expert's Axe x/2 + 250 Level 8
*** Legendary Axe x + 500 Level 10

-The standard weapon for the warrior.

2. Fire Belt* 2x/3 + 200 Level 3
*    Adept's Fire Belt*             4x/3 + 400              Level 6
** Expert's Fire Belt* 8x/3 + 800 Level 8
*** Legendary Fire Belt* 16x/3 + 1600 Level 10

-The Fire Belt is a fairly useful weapon that the warrior uses, even though
it's very rare to find. When used, it creates a ring of fire around him that
damages anything that touches him. This is used best for escape measures as
it shouldn't be used that often.

3. Mace 3x/10 + 90 Level 2
** Expert's Mace 2x/3 + 200 Level 8
*** Legendary Mace 7x/6 + 350 Level 9

-Not much different from the axe as far as ability, however, on an equal
level the mace is more powerful. Feel free to switch between as needed.

4. Throwing Axes* x/6 + 50 Level 1
*    Adept's Throwing Axes*         x/4 + 75                Level 4
** Expert's Throwing Axes* x/3 + 100 Level 7
*** Legendary Throwing Axes* 43x/100 + 138 Level 9

-The only real ranged weapon the warrior possesses. However, the range is
very short, but it's better than nothing. Use only if you need the range.

5. Mines* 4x/3 + 400 Level 3
*    Adept's Mines*                 2x + 600                Level 6
** Expert's Mines* 8x/3 + 800 Level 8
*** Legendary Mines* 16x/3 + 1600 Level 9

-Definitely the most powerful weapon in the game, and as rare as it is it
should be used on such rare occasions. One or two shots of these short
ranged mines can destroy even the toughest of bosses.

6. Shock Wave* x/30 + 10, Stuns Level 2
*    Adept's Shock Wave*            x/15 + 20, Stuns        Level 5
** Expert's Shock Wave* 2x/15 + 40, Stuns Level 8
*** Legendary Shock Wave* 4x/15 + 80, Stuns Level 10

-This is definitely the most useless item in the game. It's very weak and
the only thing it does is sends a wave through the floor in all directions,
barely strong enough to kill a Glore. If the waves did something it might
be handy, but it just damages. Stay away from using these.

7. Shield 450 Damage Levels 1 & 4
*    Adept's Shield                 900 Damage              Level 3
** Expert's Shield 1800 Damage Level 7(x2)
*** Legendary Shield 3600 Damage Level 8 & 10

-Since the warrior is a tank for the most part, he needs some extra
protection. It does offer 1/2 damage protection alongside the breastplate,
but when mixed with the breastplate, the two together offer the Warrior a
70% bonus, meaning he only takes 30% damage with the two together. Having
the two together also extends the life of both of the items. The only
downfall about the shield is that it takes less to destroy, but not by
much.

8. Breastplate 500 Damage Level 2
*    Adept's Breastplate            1000 Damage             Level 5
** Expert's Breastplate 2000 Damage Level 6
*** Legendary Breastplate 4000 Damage Level 9 & 10

-Decreases your damage by half, but will disappear after taking so many hits.
The stronger the armor, the more hits you can take. Definitely a MUST HAVE
item in the game.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
d. Magician's Equipment
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Magician only has 3 weapons, and of them the Rain of Fire Curse is
probably the best shield/weapon in the game to protect you from an ambush.
Other than that, the Magician is mostly support with her spells.

# Name Power/Ability Location
1. Wand x/6 + 50 Initial
*    Adept's Wand                   x/3 + 100               Level 4
** Expert's Wand 2x/3 + 200 Level 6
*** Powerful Wand x + 300 Level 9 & 10

-This is the close-ranged weapon for the Magician. It is fairly strong, but
as the Magician is fairly weak, this weapon is a bit dangerous to use. Use
only if you need her to be alone.

2. Fireballs x/30 + 15 Level 1
*    Adept's Fireballs              x/15 + 30, Spread Shot  Level 4
** Expert's Fireballs x/10 + 60, Spread Shot Level 7
*** Powerful Fireballs 4x/25 + 116, 5-spread Level 8

-This is the weapon you'll be using for most of the game. The higher level
ones shoot in more directions than the last. Very fast and the power isn't
too bad, comparable to the Archer's Bow.

3. Rain of Fire Curse 2x/3 + 200 Level 2
*    Adept's Rain of Fire Curse     4x/3 + 400              Level 4
** Expert's Rain of Fire Curse 2x + 600 Level 8
*** Powerful Rain of Fire Curse 2x + 600 Level 10

-This weapon makes very quick work of a small group of enemies, however,
the time it takes to recharge is long. It won't be used often unless you
come across a large group or unless there is a boss that needs to be owned.

4. Vision Spell Reveal an area Level 3
* Adept's Vision Spell Reveal an area Level 6
** Expert's Vision Spell Reveal an area Level 7
*** Powerful Vision Spell Reveal a map Level 9

-Much like the Archer's item, this will do the same. However, it won't
reveal secret areas. The higher the level, the large the area it reveals.

5. Invisibility* Invisibility, 30 sec Level 1
*    Adept's Invisibility*          Invisibility, 35 sec    Level 4
** Expert's Invisibility* Invisibility, 40 sec Level 6
*** Powerful Invisibility* Invisibility, 45 sec Level 9

-This is a very handy spell if you want to sneak up on something and kill
it quick without taking any damage, or is you need to escape fast. With it,
you can also sneak by enemies undetected. Very rare find, so make sure only
to use them when needed.

6. Protection Spell* 15 sec Invincibility Level 2
*    Adept's Protection Spell*      20 sec Invincibility    Level 3
** Expert's Protection Spell* 25 sec Invincibility Level 6
*** Powerful Protection Spell* 30 sec Invincibility Level 9

-Though very much similar to the Invisibility spell as you cannot be touched,
the Protection spell will let you be seen, but you will not be touched.
Very rare find, so make sure only to use them when needed.

7. Healing Spell x/30 + 10 HP Level 3
*    Adept's Healing Spell          x/20 + 15 HP            Level 5
** Expert's Healing Spell x/12 + 25 HP Level 8
*** Powerful Healing Spell x/6 + 50 HP Level 10

It doesn't offer a whole lot for healing powers, but when you have nothing
else, use this. Though it takes some time to charge, it is still better than
nothing. The good news is that the higher the level, the less time it takes
to charge.

8. Protective Cape 500 Damage Level 2
*    Adept's Protective Cape        1000 Damage             Level 5
** Expert's Protective Cape 2000 Damage Level 7
*** Powerful Protective Cape 4000 Damage Level 10

-Decreases your damage by half, but will disappear after taking so many hits.
The stronger the armor, the more hits you can take. Definitely a MUST HAVE
item in the game.

VII. Gameplay Tips
===============================================================================
-Save your Life-
Be very careful about your fighters HP, as healing vials are few and far
between. If you see a lot of monsters on the horizon, don't hesitate to
retreat and set up a trap or something. The Rain of Fire Curse, Mines, and
Shockwave Hammer are good items to use to set up traps to lure the enemies
into your presence.

-Shift is your Friend-
Did you know that if you hold the Shift Key down then click that your
fighters will use their equipped weapon in the direction of where you clicked?
This is especially handy when you want to attack a very long distance but do
not want to move. With this method, you can attack at a rapid rate and pick
off enemies one at a time. Magician's Fireballs and Archers Shurikens are the
best at doing this as they are not consumable, even though they are weak. At
a good enough level, those weapons can take out high HP monsters at a distance
before they have the chance to strike at you. If need be though, the Explosive
Powder, Arrows, and Throwing Axes also work (or any other consumable).

-Make use of the Healing Spell-
Once you have the Magician's Healing Spell, the game can start to get a bit
easier if you decide to wait on it. Though the Healing Spell only heals a
very little bit at a time (about 10 + the current level x10), it is still a
free heal. Basically, the moment you believe it gets full, USE it on the one
with the lowest HP (it takes about 30 seconds to charge). If you are not
fighting, you can just have your Magician keep the healing spell equipped
and just have it cast it once on the person who needs it and every time it
charges it will automatically cast it.

-Invisibility and the Archer-
The Archer's Crossbow is a very fast and powerful tool if you can use it
right. The Archer's Bolas are even rightfully even more powerful. If you're
finding a boss fight particularly annoying, start off by casting Invisibility
on the Archer and then send him in with the Bolas. Hit the boss(es) with
the Bolas to stun them, then fire away with the Crossbow for an easy win.

-Make two copies-
In this game, mistakes can be made that are costly. So, instead of having to
go through the entire game again, when you start a new level, make a save
file for the very beginning, and then as you progress, use a 2nd save file for
any saves afterwards. This way, if for some reason you mess up and cannot
continue, you'll always have the first save to start the level over instead
of the entire game.
===============================================================================
VIII. Cheats
===============================================================================
By pressing ENTER at any point during the game and then typing one of these
codes in, then pressing Enter again, you will get the effect that follows. If
you see a # in the cheat, it means replace that with a number. Note that
it is case sensitive.

Cheat Effect
Glory Day Reveals the entire map of the area
I'll Take You There # Takes you to a specific level (1-11)
Mister White God Mode (Invincibility) On/Off
My Drug # Gives you # of selected consumable weapon, max 999
Rat Race Completely heals selected characters
Satisfaction Rapid Attack Potion effect for selected characters
Show Displays position of cursor
Talking To Me Instant Death to enemies that come close
Think Positive Power Potion effect for selected characters
What A Difference Travel Speed Potion effect for selected characters

Though these cheats are very nice to use, keep in mind that they may limit the
fun and strategy of the game, just like any cheats. The one to be really
worrisome about is Glory Day. The reason being is that if you use this right
at the beginning of an area, you may forget to explore certain areas, thus
making it harder to find what you need.
