Why this FAQ? | ----------------- Even though two FAQs were started years ago, they don't list every secret in the game, and since I'm a great fan of the game, I thought on writing a FAQ which did it. So let's start! ----------- |2. Secrets | ----------- In this section is listed every secret for all the stages. I'll also label as "Hidden" the places where you can't see the ambers, as they're not oficially secrets. *Note: Completing a normal game (without using warp zones) getting all the items and secrets will net you around 152,751 points. --World 1: The Sewers of Dross Stage 1-1 ---------- Items: 10 small ambers, 7 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Crawl up the wall at the left, at the start of the stage. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Break the wall to the right, at the end of the stage. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 1-2 ---------- Items: 7 small ambers, 5 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Slip below the boulder before it covers the hole Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Slip below the large column you must knock over Got: 1 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 1-3 ---------- Items: 8 small ambers, 11 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Hold Left+Slide+Heavy when you start the stage and crush the two blocks below you Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Get in the corner at the end of the hanging rocks, and a stone will fall. Get up there. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Warp Zone: Break the spikes in the left corner, before the hanging stones. Follow the tunnel and break the '?' block. Stage: "-1" Stage 1-4 ---------- Items: 10 small ambers, 6 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 8 Tarballs, 1-up Secret #1: Get inside the cave the big-head creature was. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #2: At the wall to the right of the dropping hanging rock. Got: 1 small, 1 medium and 1 big ambers Warp Zone: Hold Down+Slide+Heavy when you start the stage to make it to the left side of the closing door, and follow the tunnel. Stage: 4-3 Stage 1-5 ---------- Items: 16 small ambers, 11 medium ambers, 3 big ambers Secret #1: Above the rock that gets pulled up. Got: 1 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Below the rock that gets pulled up, to the right. Got: 1 small, 1 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #3: To the right of the set of rocks to be pushed, at the end of the stage. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Hidden #1: At the beginning of the stage, go up to the hollow place opened. Got: 4 small and 2 medium ambers Hidden #2: To the left of the rock that gets pulled up, break the floor. Got: 4 small and 1 medium ambers Stage 1-6 ---------- Boss stage (no items nor secrets) Stage 1-7 ---------- Items: 54 small ambers, 2 medium ambers, 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #1: At the bottom of the stage, crawl up at the left corner Got: 3 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers --World 2: The Forlorn Hollow Stage 2-1 ---------- Items: 28 small ambers, 12 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Break the two blocks underwater. Got: 4 small, 0 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Pull the first column to the left and go down. You can break the wall to the right there. Got: 8 small, 6 medium and 1 big ambers Warp Zone: From the Secret #2 zone, go up until the first column and drop to break the floor. Follow the tunnel to get to the giant sprite. Stage: "-2" Stage 2-2 ---------- Items: 17 small ambers, 12 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Make the big stone fall and go up where it was. Got: 1 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Break the left hanging stones over the water and get them ouf of the way Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 2-3 ---------- Items: 16 small ambers, 3 medium ambers, 1 big ambers Secret #1: Dive under the first spikes Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 2-4 ---------- Items: 15 small ambers, 7 medium ambers, 3 big ambers, 6 Tarballs, 1-up Secret #1: Break the wall to the right of the first barriers. Got: 1 small, 1 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Above the elevator, to the left. Got: 6 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #3: At the end of the stage, upper-left corner. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Enter the cave the big-head creature was in. Got: 0 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #3: Break beyond the cave the big-head creature was in. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 3-2 ---------- Items: 21 small ambers, 12 medium ambers, 1 big ambers, 9 Tarballs, 1-up Secret #1: Jump toward the ceiling over the 3rd column on the lava. Got: 6 small, 3 medium and 0 big ambers, 3 Tarballs, 1-up Secret #2: Break the floor in the corner after the columns on the lava. Got: 3 small, 3 medium and 1 big ambers, 6 Tarballs Stage 3-3 ---------- Items: 4 small ambers, 4 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: In the wall to the right of the boulders floating on the lava. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Break the floor under the moving blocks. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 3-4 ---------- Items: 13 small ambers, 9 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 11 Tarballs Secret #1: Break into the end of the lava floor (you'll get damaged). Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 7 Tarballs Secret #2: Warp Zone: Grab the first column that gets shooted up, and touch the '666'. Stage: Isle of the Dead Stage 3-5 ---------- Items: 16 small ambers, 5 medium ambers, 1 big ambers, 5 Tarballs Secret #1: In the platform above the liftable bridge, break the ceiling and go right (or drop from the second big rock into the non-spike area) Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 2 Tarballs Stage 3-6 ---------- Boss stage (no items nor secrets) Stage 3-7 ---------- Items: 4 small ambers, 6 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 1-up. Secret #1: At the middle of the stage, jump towards the ceiling Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 0 big ambers, 1-up --World 4: The Lost Tombs of Duat Stage 4-1 ---------- Items: 33 small ambers, 17 medium ambers, 3 big ambers, 11 Tarballs Secret #1: At the bottom-left corner, besides the lava. Got: 1 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 4-2 ---------- Items: 23 small ambers, 11 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 3 Tarballs Secret #1: Under the broken bridge Got: 3 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 4-3 ---------- Items: 30 small ambers, 13 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 4 Tarballs Secret #1: Break the right wall, go left and break the floor. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Break the left side of the round platform, before the barrier. Got: 2 small, 3 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 4-4 ---------- Items: 16 small ambers, 11 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 1-up Secret #1: Crawl through the ceiling over the lava and the columns. Got: 4 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #2: Break the wall to the right, before the lava at the end of the stage. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Warp Zone: Break the wall to the left of the first columns. Follow the tunnel and fall into the warp. Stage: "-3" Stage 4-5 ---------- Items: 6 small ambers, 5 medium ambers, 2 big ambers Secret #1: Go up from where the little boulder falls Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Break the floor besides the big-head creature Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 4-6 ---------- Boss stage (no items nor secrets) Stage 4-7 ---------- Items: 6 small ambers, 2 medium ambers, 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #1: Go to the upper-right corner Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers --World 5: The Rapture Stage 5-1 ---------- Items: 5 small ambers, 8 medium ambers, 1 big ambers Secret #1: Use the hanging stone to catapult yourself to the balcony. Got: 4 small, 5 medium and 1 big ambers Hidden #1: From the Secret #1's balcony, jump to the ceiling to enter a hidden path towards a secret chamber with a '?' shape design. Got: As long as the program is running, you'll be in "Telekinesis Mode", as in, you'll be able to use your mouse to move objects or enemies. After you quit the game, you'll have to unlock it by going to that secret chamber if you want it again. Stage 5-2 ---------- Items: 18 small ambers, 6 medium ambers, 2 big ambers, 3 Tarballs Secret #1: Break the left-most spikes and go down. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 3 Tarballs Secret #2: Crawl over the ceiling in the hall the boulder rolls through. Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 5-3 ---------- Items: 4 small ambers, 3 medium ambers, 2 big ambers *To complete this stage, you must use Jump+Slide to bounce your way through Secret #1: At the beginning of the stage, under the big rock, go down to the ledge and break the left wall Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers Secret #2: Under the moving blocks, break the floor Got: 2 small, 1 medium and 1 big ambers Stage 5-4 ---------- Items: 6 small ambers, 6 medium ambers, 3 big ambers, 6 Tarballs, 1-up Secret #1: At the beggining of the stage, break the middle part of the wall to the left Got: 3 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 1-up Secret #2: Slip into the missing block (or break into the non-spike zone) Got: 2 small, 2 medium and 1 big ambers, 3 Tarballs Stage 5-5 ---------- Boss stage (no items nor secrets) Stage 5-6 ---------- Final boss stage (no items nor secrets) You'll get the good ending if you rescue Brea, and the bad ending if the cage falls into the lava. --Warp Zone Stages Stage 1-4 ("Hidden side") -------------------------- Info: You fall through various layers, that probably represent each world. Stage 10-1: "-1" (Mario Bros) ------------------------------ Items: 17 small ambers, 5 medium ambers, 5 big ambers, 1-up Info: The Mario Bros themed stage. Some ambers and the 1-up are hidden inside the blocks. At the end of the stage, if you climb to the ceiling and go above the stage, you'll get to three pipes, that lead you, from left to right, to the worlds 4, 3 and 2. Stage 10-2: "-2" (Pitfall) --------------------------- Items: 6 big ambers, 1-up Info: The Pitfall themed stage. Simply jump your way through. Stage 10-3: "-3" (Pacman) -------------------------- Items: 200 small ambers and 4 big ambers Info: The Pacman themed stage. There are no enemies and you have a set amount of time to get all the coins, so it's more like a collection stage. Stage 10-4: Isle of the Dead ----------------------------- Items: 23 Tarballs Info: A frantic chase worthy of its name. A.k.a the hardest stage in the game. If you make it to the end, you'll enter Satan's Lair. Stage 10-5: Satan's Lair ------------------------- Info: Here you'll meet Satan and he'll offer you to join him. If you accept, you get eternal life (infinite lives for the rest of the game, the only sane way to complete Ludicrous Mode). If you don't, you'll get 20000 points when you beat him. ----------- |3.
