Synthets, the black Ether of the Machine
  The Synthet's fusion of mortal and machine serves them well as their hero
discovers the nature of the strange invaders then hastens to stop them before
they can destroy the Ether World...

  The Synthets campaign is unlocked after completing the Vitals Campaign. It
is advisable to save at the end of the Vitals campaign so that you are not
stuck

 with the chosen difficulty should you wish to switch. This file will
also serve as your access to this campaign if you ever wish to replay it. You
cannot access the Campaign from the main menu.

  The major differences in the difficulties appear to be how many spells the
enemies carry. On easy mode the deck is very limited. Hard mode does appear to
have one balance to it, it is possible to learn some specializations from
enemies if you see them use it in combat.

  On each map you will find a spell shop. This shop sells cards that are
unique. It is advisable to purchase at least one of each spell before moving
on to the next map as you will never see the same spells sold again. However
there are some spells that become obsolete with the introduction of its
upgrade. See the in-game encyclopedia under Synthets/Enchantments for
[Twisted Enhancement] and it's upgrade [Overload] as a close example of this.
The best example would be under Vitals/Sorcery with [Ether Drop] - [Ether Tap]
- [Ether Draw].

  Please note that this guide is not an exhaustive compilation. Enemy card
listing are only spells that I have encountered while fighting them, they may
have more cards than are listed. No strategies are listed as coming up with
the strategies is what I consider a major part of the enjoyment to this game.
Also note that this data is all from hard mode. There also appears to be parts
of most maps that I could not find access to, so monsters found there are not
listed.

  The top box indicates the basic stats and specializations of the monster.
In some cases, in hard mode, it is possible to learn their specialization by
having them use the specialization in combat, sometimes it requires more than
one use. This is denoted by the * at the end of the specialization line.
  The Second box indicates what spells they carry. In some cases this is not a
complete listing.

Specializations that are obtained from enemies may be obtainable from all
enemies with the listed specializations. However due to already having the
specializations, I cannot verify this easily. I did notice that I was able
to get Ironskin from two different enemies in the first campaign so it should
be possible to obtain these from any enemies with the right specializations.

|G1d| Artifact Creation
  During map 3 the hero is given the two recipes. Only one artifact can be
created per combat, even if you are carrying multiple [Artefact Blank]. The
first rule set is as follows.

During a combat the hero must do the following:
1. Destroy at least one enemy creature with the Mechos' Destroy ability.
2. The hero must control at least one of each of the three types of Mechos by
   the end of the combat.

Result:
1. The Rod of Mechoses is created, containing charges of Mechos of the most
   numberous type under the hero's control.
2. The more enemy creatures destroyed with Destroy ability, the more powerful
   the artifact created.

Mechos are only available for purchase on Map 2.
See FAQ for further information on creating this artifact.

The second recipe is as follows.

During a combat the hero must do the following:
1. Cast all 4 "gas" spells: Drowsy Gas, Depress Gas, Frenzy Gas, and
   Suffocation Gas.
2. The enemy hero should die from the Suffocation Gas spell effect.
3. By the time of the enemy hero's death, at least two Pain Link spells
   should be active on their respective creatures.

Result:
1. The artifact Ring of Gases is created, containing spell charges of the gas
   spell type most often cast during the Ring's Creation.
2. The more gas spells and active Pain Link spells that were cast on the
   hero's creatures, the more powerful the artifact created.
3. In case of the Suffocation Gas-based Ring of Gases, the more hit points
   the hero retains, the more powerful the artifact created.

[Drowsy Gas] is only available for purchase on Map 1.
[Frenzy Gas] is only available for purchase on Map 2.
[Depressing Gas] is only available for purchase on Map 3.
[Suffocating Gas] is only available for purchase on Map 3.
It is possible to create this artifact on Map 3. It is not necessary to kill
all the monsters before fighting the final boss for this map, in order to
access the shop with [Suffocating Gas]

1. Pale cards are confusing. How do they work?
     Pale creatures are all creatures with the words Pale in them. They can be
in two states, pale aspect or bright aspect. To go from pale to bright aspect
is called manifest. To go from bright to pale aspect is called dissipate. Also
note that all other creatures are always in bright aspect, this is important
when you encounter creatures like [Pale Scourge], [Pale Reaper] and [Pale
Slayer] as they can target your own creatures. Be aware that creatures in pale
aspect can still trigger their abilities and also have a rested and non-rested
state. However they cannot attack or defend and are unaffected by most spells
that do not specifically target Pale creatures. Pale creatures in bright
aspect will generally dissipate when their HP is reduced to zero. Enchantments
will stay on them when they dissipate, but do not affect them unless indicated
by the card, see [Cripple]. However pale creatures which have their HP reduced
to zero by spells like [Dwindle] will be sent to the graveyard.

2. Any hints for creating the Rod of Mechos?
     Make sure you purchase a suitable amount of mechos. Use [Drowsy Gas] and
[Frenzy Gas] to reduce the damage that the mechos do so that their destroy
ability will trigger. [Clone] can help generate more mechos. Use [Delusion] to
end the fight quickly so long as the enemy does not have first strike
capabilities.

3. In what way is there a difference in the strength of a Rod of Mechos?
     The biggest difference will be in what type of Rod of Mechos is created.
Whether it will create [Bronze Mechos], [Iron Mechos], or [Steel Mechos]. This
is determined by the most numerous Mechos at the end of combat. Rods with
[Steel Mechoses] always have 1 charge. Rods with [Iron Mechos] have around 2
charges. Rods with [Bronze Mechos] have around 3 charges. The charges for the
later two rods can increase with a higher number of enemies destroyed.
     The other difference will be the activation turn, the more enemies you
destroy the lower the activation turn. [Steel Mechos] will have a higher
activation turn than [Iron Mechos] with [Bronze Mechos] having the lowest.

4. Any hints for creating the Ring of Gases?
      There are four key spells besides the gases and [Pain Link] that make
this a very easy task. They are any Mechozaurus, [Iron Abominations], [Energy
Barrier] and [Tap Life]. The Mechozaurus creatures, are all immune to any kind
of effects. Even the [Bronze Mechozaurus] will work for creating this artifact
since they won't be affected by any stat reductions and won't take any damage
from [Suffocating Gas]. However now you'll need a creature that you can cast
[Pain Link] on. For this, use [Iron Abominations]. These guys can be
regenerated cheaply and can be cast early on to defend with. The next key
spell is [Energy Barrier]. This spell reduces magical damage by 3. This
includes the damage from any Mechozaurus creature, [Pain Link] as well as
[Suffocating Gas]. Note that you can cast this on both your hero as well as
your creatures, namely [Iron Abominations]. Finally, [Tap Life] can be used to
boost your health while lowering the enemy hero's. However make sure that the
enemy hero dies from [Suffocating Gas].
     Also be aware that this deck is very heavy on enchantments so it is best
not to use it against any enemies that have enchantment removals
