Introduction =============================================================================== This is the fourth in a series of four adventures in the John DeFoe quadrilogy by Yahtzee. The games can be downloaded for free from the developer's website: http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/games.htm. This game takes place in the year 2189, 196 years after 5 Days a Stranger and 196 years before 7 Days a Skeptic. After Theo DaCabe goes to inspect the Optimology Headquarters, he becomes involved in the mysterious events that have spanned nearly four centuries. =============================================================================== 2. Walkthrough =============================================================================== The game starts in the optimology building. Get the pamphlet on the desk. DAY 1 Theo wakes up in the laboratory complex. Talk to the guard and say "Urrgh...". When the guard leans over Theo, use the guard to get the piece of paper. Give the paper to Samantha. Talk to Sam and point to the console. Point to the door in the north wall. After the cutscene, open the right door to the hall. Go east to the next room to see a blast door. Walk west to the hall. Open the first door on the left to get the guns from Janine. Walk right and give the guns to Samantha. After the cutscene, talk about all topics to complete the first day. DAY 2 Open the right door and watch the cutscene. Open the left door to the hall. Walk right and get caught by the guard. After a few seconds the gatekeeper will release Theo. Open the left door to the hall. Walk left so that the guard starts to walk toward Theo, then return to the room with the corpse. After the cutscene, use the cellphone and call Samantha to say "I got the guard away from the door.". Open the right door to the hall. Walk left and talk to Samantha. After the cutscene, open the left door to the hall. Open the first door on the left to enter the bedroom. Use the locker and enter OPEN, then press the X. Open the locker and get the keycard. Open the left door to the hall. Open the third door from left to enter the office. Use the computer and release level 1 security. Exit the office. Use the spectacles on the floor to get the lens. Open the second door from the right to enter the security room. Use the touchscreen and change the camera to camera 4. Use the touchscreen and review input. Use the lens on the monitor to see the blast door password. Open the left door. Walk east to the blast door room. Use the keycard in the slot at the left side of the door. Use the keypad at the right side of the door and enter 7759. Use the cellphone and call Janine to say "We need your help to open the Hub.". After the cutscene, open the right door to complete the third day. DAY 3 Open the right door to enter the hall. Open the third door from the right to see the guard. Talk to the guard about the bottom topic four times: He will leave the room. Open the left door to the hall. Open the second door from the right. Use the touchscreen and change the camera to 5. Enter the password 2741. Use the touchscreen and download the current image. Use the cellphone and call Janine to say "I've seen what's inside the Hub.". Open the left door to the hall. Open the first door from the right to enter the clone room. Talk to Trilby and say "Anything coming back?": He remembers the name DeFoe. Say "I have to go.". Open the left door to the hall. Open the second door from the left. Talk to Canning and say "Who is John DeFoe?". Say "I've figured out what Dr. Harty was doing.". Say "I think she was a cloner.". Open the left door to the hall. Open the fourth door from the left. Use Samantha: The ID card is not there. Open the right door to the hall. Walk right to the blast door room. Talk to Janine and say "Do you have Dr. Harty's ID card?". Walk east to the hall. Open the first door on the right to return to the clone room. Give the ID card to Trilby. After the cutscene, walk left to the hall. Open the third door from the left to enter the office. Get the documents on top of the filing cabinet. Open the door to the hall. Open the second door from the right to enter the security room. Use the fusebox to open it. Look at the papers in the inventory to get the staple. Use the staple on the fusebox. Open the left door to the hall. Walk east to the blast door room. After the cutscene, say "John DeFoe is scared of him." to the gatekeeper to complete the third day. DAY 4 Open the left door to the hall. Open the second door from the left to see that Canning has gone. Open the left door to the hall and Janine will appear. Avoid Janine while walking right and open the third door from the right to enter the shed. Get the pickaxe. Exit the shed. Walk into Janine to wake up in the bedroom. Open the right door to enter the kitchen. Wait for Janine to get near to Theo and then use the pickaxe on the hole to complete the fourth day. DAY 5 Walk to the cell door and the gatekeeper will appear. A few seconds after he disappears, the dropper will open. Use the dropper to get a parcel. Look at the parcel to get the blade. Use the left wall and a door will appear. Use the blade on the door to exit the cell. Walk down to the bottom of the stairs to enter the body of Chzo. Talk to the body and say "Wait here.". Use the blade on the body. Use the energy on the left body to complete the fifth day. DAY 6 Open the door to the bedroom. Open the left door to the hall. Walk west to the blast door room. Go through the doorway to bring the clones into the manor. Open the right door to the trophy room and get the machete. Open the left door to the lobby. Open the front door and another clone will appear. Go upstairs and open the first door. Get the welding mask. Open the door. Go downstairs and open the front door to let three more clones in. Go upstairs and open the far right door to enter the bathroom. Get the apron to make the outfit. Open the door. Go downstairs and open the front door to let three more clones in. Open the left door twice to enter the kitchen. Use the outfit on the hole. After the cutscene, wait until the room stops moving and then use the darkness to arrive in the cellar. Use the tarpaulin three times. Go through the doorway. After the cutscene, float right and use the arrogant man to complete the game. =============================================================================== 3. Item List =============================================================================== APRON Found in the bedroom in the DeFoe manor on day 6. It is one of three items needed to make the outfit. BLADE Found by looking at the parcel in the inventory on day 5. After using the left wall in the cell, the blade is used on the left door. It is used on the body in the body of Chzo on day 5. CELLPHONE Available at the start of the game. It is used to call Samantha on day 2 after the guard has been killed by the tall man. It is used to call Janine on day 2 after the correct password has been entered on the blast door keypad. It can be used on day 3 to see the password to camera 5 in the security room: The image from camera 5 can then be downloaded onto the cellphone. It is used on day 3 to call Janine about the Hub. ENERGY Found by using the blade on the body in the body of Chzo on day 5. It is then used on the left body in the body of Chzo. GUNS After seeing the blast door on day 1, the guns are found by talking to Janine in the bedroom. They are given to Samantha. ID CARD Found by asking Janine about the ID card on day 3. It is given to Trilby in the clone room. KEYCARD Found in the locker in the bedroom on day 2. It is used in the slot at the left side of the blast door. LENS Found by using the spectacles on the floor in the hall. After the input for camera 4 has been reviewed in the security room on day 2, the lens is used on the monitor to see the password for the blast door. MACHETE Found in the trophy room in the DeFoe manor on day 6. It is one of three items needed to make the outfit. OUTFIT Found on day 6 after the machete, welding mask and apron have been found in the DeFoe manor. It is used on the hole in the kitchen. PARCEL Found in the dropper on day 5 after the gatekeeper has disappeared. It is looked at in the inventory to find the blade. PAPER Found by using the guard on day 1 when he leans over Theo. It is given to Samantha. PAPERS Found on top of the filing cabinet in the office on day 3. It is looked at in the inventory to find the staple. PICKAXE Found in the shed on day 4. After Janice gets near Theo in the kitchen on day 4, the pickaxe is used on the hole in the wall. STAPLE Found by looking at the papers in the inventory. It is used on the fusebox in the security room on day 3. WELDING MASK Found in the bedroom in the DeFoe manor on day 6.
